Our wedding at the Echo Lake Inn was nothing short of amazing! June in Vermont is DIVINE. Our friends, our family, and WE had such an incredible time - we’re still sad it’s over! We hosted 104 guests.
The food was great (we went with roast beef with horseradish, chicken with orange glace, and the butternut squash ravioli) - the drinks were fantastic, and the atmosphere was so gorgeous! All of the inn staff, from the bar to the kitchen to the innkeepers played such a huge role in making our wedding weekend everything we could have imagined! The dell was lush and green and all of our decor was put out exactly as we had planned it. I was able to do my own centerpieces through a flower farm in the basement of the inn and it went SWIMMINGLY. As the bride I can honestly say they asked me MAYBE one question on my wedding day - we had so much fun and it was SO SO NICE not to worry about how the day would unfold because ELI had it covered.
Several guests told us that this was one of the best weddings that they had ever been too. They have something for everyone! Outdoor Activities galore, a porch for a long catch up chat, couches to read books, hangout at the fire pit, play cards, at one point several guests watched Love Island on the TV. Our older guests had an easy time getting around. Guests said that it felt like staying in someone’s home, and how they really got to connect with each other. The kiddos LOVED it, big field for running around and playing - during the reception they tuckering themselves out dancing in the field next door to the wedding tent. Several parents brought baby monitors down to the afterparty with them, as it was very easy to convince the littles that everyone was going to bed! Several of our guests have mentioned returning to the inn!
The staff throw weddings often, and the event is seamless, honestly. One of my bridesmaid was an event coordinator at a wedding venue for 5 years and she immediately clocked how “on it” this staff was. Jackie and Rachel are impeccable with executing and Kat was awesome with us late night. Tom the Inn keeper is WONDERFUL but these staff really make the whole thing happen. Listen when they tell you to assign rooms. We also forgot to make a thank you speech when we took the whole inn picture. They had a lot of things at the inn for us to use (like stands for the seating charts) and that really helped lighten the load. We have been to 4 weddings since and the staff and professionalism from ELI stands OUT.
Our goal for the wedding was connection and celebration. We wanted our love ones to make new memories and they did with the help of the staff from the Echo Lake Inn. They’re simply the best. You should get married here if that's what you're looking for too! We will be back this ski season! -

We had our wedding in July of 2025 and had the best time with Echo Lake Inn! We had about 90 guests come and they had enough room for the majority to stay onsite and we just had a few stay people stay in an airbnb right down the path! Echo Lake Inn included a welcome party reception, complimentary breakfast for guests who stayed on site, they catered their own food for the welcome party and wedding reception, and had plenty of vendor recommendations. The staff were all amazing, polite, and accommodating. Day of the wedding lots of our guests enjoyed the amenities such as kayaks and canoes for the lake, the pool, and even played pickleball on the tennis court! Everything went perfect and couldn’t have asked for a better place to be married! -

My husband and I absolutely LOVED getting married at the Echo Lake Inn. Having our family and friends stay at the inn for the weekend gave us even more time to celebrate. Every one of our guests said they enjoyed their stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful as well! We just got our photos back from our photographer and we cannot believe how beautiful they are! Getting married in the dell was so picturesque! During the planning process, the staff at Echo Lake were extremely helpful. They had great suggestions for vendors to use, they responded quickly to our emails with helpful advice, and they made sure every moment of our wedding weekend went smoothly. I cannot say enough great things about the staff and the location! If you are looking to get married in a beautiful, private location in Vermont, and have the help of some incredible people while you are planning the wedding, then Echo Lake is the place for you! My husband and I will cherish the memories we made there for the rest of our lives. Truly, I cannot say enough great things about Echo Lake! :) -

Can’t recommend enough!!
We had our wedding at the Echo Lake Inn and it could not have been more perfect. Rachel and Jacquelyn, the innkeepers, were absolute rockstars all weekend. They went above and beyond to set everything up beautifully and make sure the day went smoothly. When we needed a rain plan, they took my vision and made it work so that we could still have the ceremony under umbrellas while keeping our guests comfortably under tents—it was exactly what I had hoped for.
Having our friends and family stay right at the inn made the whole weekend feel so special and intimate. We also loved being able to host our welcome party on site the night before—it was seamless, easy, and such a great way to kick off the celebrations. On top of it all, the food was 10/10 all weekend—every meal was fantastic and our guests are still talking about it.
I truly could not have asked for a better experience or a more beautiful venue. If you’re looking for a place where the setting, service, and overall atmosphere come together perfectly, the Echo Lake Inn is it.

We just had our 125 person wedding at the Echo Lake Inn this past weekend and it was fantastic!! It was essentially a destination wedding, us being from Boston, and we had to accommodate lodging for 125 guests. Tom, the innkeeper, and his staff were absolutely fantastic throughout the process. We visited and stayed multiple weekends during the wedding process and were well taken care of each time!! Our guests raved about all the different wedding events the Echo Lake Inn offers and LOVED utilizing the pool, the hottub, the basement and upstairs bars throughout the weekend. The venue is gorgeous and unique with the opportunity for the tent, the dell, and the field for partying!!!! The inn really made for an incredible weekend and Tom took amazing care of us!!! His staff were always checking in, asking to see if we needed anything!!!! We love Tom, the staff, and the Inn and plan to visit for all our anniversaries to come! -

Caitrin Sent on 08/12/2018From the moment we set foot on Echo Lake Inn's beautiful campus and sat down with innkeeper Tom, we knew we had found the right venue. Previously, we had looked at a handful of others venues, but the best features of all of them came together at ELI - and for a great price! First of all, when you book your wedding at ELI, the whole inn becomes exclusively yours for the weekend. We had about 140 people at our wedding, so I chose to get very hands-on with room assignments to squeeze people into every nook and cranny (Tom also helped us book The Inn at Water's Edge across the street, and the Little Brook House a few doors down) and everyone loved being so close together. Secondly, the amenities are amazing: swimming pool, jacuzzi, tennis & volleyball courts, bonfire pit, canoes on the lake, lawn games, darts, billiards, board games... no one was ever board, and there was something for everyone! Also, we had really wanted to incorporate sustainability, history, and a natural indoor-outdoor feel to the wedding. The Inn has great historic value, and the 200-person tent out back (which has a paved and carpeted floor) was PERFECT for the reception! Tom and Kyle and the rest of team gave us amazing service throughout the planning process and the week of. They made every special detail we wanted come to life - sourcing meat from our favorite nearby farm for the rehearsal dinner BBQ, transporting chairs and decor to my parent's mountain-side camp 15 mins away for the ceremony (usually the Inn holds the ceremony on their own beautiful property or at the church next door), setting off a breathtaking firework show at the end of the reception - I cannot imagine being able to do so many custom, unique, special things at any other venue. I could probably go on forever about how the team at ELI made our dreams come true - we recommend them 1000%

Chelsea Sent on 01/06/2018Tom, Kyle, Ann Marie, Max and the rest of the staff at the Echo Lake Inn were simply wonderful! These people know and love hospitality! They took care of things (my forgetting to delegate someone to pick up the rehersal dinner desserts, an injury on the dance floor, etc) before I even realized there was a problem! Do you know how good that feels? It feels AMAZING! The food was wonderful and ceremony space was gorgeous. It’s been three months since our wedding weekend and our family and friends are still taking about it! I can’t recommend them enough. If you can communicate what you want, they can make it happen.

Joanna Sent on 03/24/2015We got married at the Echo Lake Inn Memorial Day weekend-May 24, 2014. We had started considering venues the year before and knew that we wanted to be married within the Okemo Valley region since my husband Chris’ family annually spends a week during the summer in between Lake Rescue and Lake Pauline for the past 30 years. Chris and I had seen the Inn for the previous 7 years on our hikes along the lakes and when kayaking under the nearby bridge of Kingdom Road and we were always in awe of it and thought it looked cozy and welcoming. Laurence gave us a tour of the Inn, we got to have a tasting, and he was always receptive/treated us well and we knew that the entire staff (Neal, Anne Marie, Chef Kevin and the others) would be able to accommodate the guests we would be having.
Throughout the planning for the following year the Inn staff were quick to respond. Our wedding was semi-destination (not too far from the New York metropolitan region but still, some communication with vendors had to be Skyped or emailed as much as possible) and it was also planned from a semi long-distance relationship (we resided about three hours apart up until we were married) which could be tough logistics-wise (Chris and I relied a lot upon Google docs as well as Pinterest since we both were equally invested in the planning process and details).
I can relay further stories evidencing all the abundance of love outpouring from the area but I think our experience with the Inn demonstrates this pretty well. It made me so happy to know our friends and family were being treated to a mini-vacation of their own too.
As of March 2015 Echo Lake Inn now has a new Innkeeper, Tom. It seems like he truly appreciates the history of the Echo Lake Inn and will be able to carry on the torch well and be an excellent Innkeeper and Master of Ceremonies for all weddings at the Inn to come. From one fellow admirer of Calvin Coolidge to another, I wish him and the Inn continued luck and prosperity.
