I have nothing but incredible things to say about Dulany's! The owner and staff are all wonderful people and were so easy to work with, the venue is spacious and gorgeous, and the mountainous backdrop for our ceremony was more beautiful than I had even hoped for. Some huge selling points for us for the venue were it being pet friendly (this was a non-negotiable), including a day-of wedding coordinator (shout out Tammy!!), having a lot of freedom with the vendors we selected, a huge area for both the bridal party and groomsmen to hang out/get ready, an arch ready to be decorated, easy parking, and a golf cart for getting my elderly relatives around. It was truly a dream wedding and venue and I would recommend it ANYONE! -

Dulany's Overlook is the perfect wedding venue. The owner Mark was a joy to work with. Our assigned day of coordinator Sheila was incredibly helpful. In the last few weeks before the wedding, she really helped us prepare. On the day of, she kept everything running smoothly. The scenery there is gorgeous! The barn was the perfect cocktail hour and reception setting. The string lights...loved it! We definitely recommend having your big day at Dulanys Overlook -

This place truly holds a special spot in our hearts now. The owners are the sweetest and our coordinator made our day as perfect as it could be. They provide a vendors list which I used and loved along with a day of coordinator. They assign you a coordinator and they help in any way from advice about vendors to when you should start buying things. We also did our ceremony in their wooded area but they also offer a lawn area too which is so pretty. Along with the barn for the reception and the house to get ready. One of the reasons I also picked this place was because I knew my hubs would love the man cave too😉They offer SO much more and a special place for weddings. -

I can't say enough good things about Dulany's for our June 2nd wedding! Starting the wedding venue planning process, there are so many things to think about, but Dulany's made everything SO EASY. Mark & Juanita were so engaging from the moment we stepped foot on the property for the first time, and spent so much time showing us every part of the incredible property (plus - Mark is the ONLY venue owner who asked my husband and I how we met and our engagement story. It seems small, but it really stuck with us). The 15 months leading up to the wedding, we were able to tour and visit multiple times, got incredible vendor recommendations from them, and our coordinator, Julie, was the ABSOLUTE BEST! As stressful as the planning process is, Julie made it so much more relaxing. Any question or worry I had, she answered immediately and worked with us to bring our vision to life. Day of the wedding went absolutely flawless and I credit that to Julie and the amazing vendors we worked with. The grounds are breathtaking, the bridal and groom suite incredible, and as Mark said - it was our venue for the day, and it felt like that. I wish I could get married again here! It was really the perfect day in large part because of the perfect venue. -

Beautiful venue. We had the perfect day and night this September. Jennifer C. was our venue coordinator and she made everything very easy for us (timeline, vendor coordination, decor set up help, etc.). The house and barn on site had a working elevator which was excellent for our mom in a wheelchair. Would recommend! -

Amazing!!!!!
I loved our wedding day at Dulany’s! We had such a memorable time there and we left so happy with our experience and service that night. I would recommend Dulany’s or any of the other sister venues! They have wonderful coordinators and wonderful venue layout for incredible pictures. -

My partner Annie and I had our wedding at Dulany's Overlook in late November on their last wedding weekend before winter. Our experience from start to finish was incredible, and the venue had everything we needed (and then some) to make our day so special.
We truly loved all the different areas where our guests could congregate throughout the day, from having our bridal parties and families in the beautiful colonial house getting ready and taking photos, to the ceremony on the lawn, to cocktail hour in the horse stables that have been converted into a bar, and then finally ending the night in the beautiful red barn for dinner and dancing. We even got creative with the downstairs space in the house (which is typically used for the groom) and made it into a speakeasy where our bridal parties were served speciality cocktails and hor d'oeuvres while the rest of our guests were at the normal cocktail hour before the reception.
To Holly, Mark, and the entire team at Dulanys - thank you for an incredible day that we will never forget! -

My husband and I got married at Dulanys overlook last month and we had the absolute pleasure of working with Kim! We were originally booked for October of 2020, and Mark and his team were great about working with us to find another fall Saturday in 2021 so that we could have the fall wedding we'd always hoped for. We also were planning remotely (we live in San Diego) and working with Kim gave me such comfort and confidence that every small detail would be addressed prior to our big day. Not only is Dulanys absolutely beautiful (so happy with our pics!) but they have such a solid handle on local vendors. We pretty much just followed their reccos and everything came together really seamlessly. Additionally, I had hoped to get married outside but we had a rainy day. Kim not only waited until the last minute to have me make the decision about moving our ceremony to the barn, but she had the team set up the barn for our ceremony prior to asking me so I could see what it would look like before making the call. The barn looked absolutely stunning for our ceremony and was again transformed to the vision we had talked about for our reception. Thank you Kim and Dulanys!!! -

My daughter was married at Dulany's Overlook a few weeks ago. It was wonderful. The venue was perfect and the separate house for the wedding party to get ready in was just awesome. Most impressive was that we were assigned a coordinator, Brittany Snyder, who was over-the-top wonderful. She was there whenever we needed her. And I am not just talking about the wedding day itself. She was there to answer all of my questions long before the wedding day and is still available if needed. I was most impressed with how patient she was with me, especially since my daughter and son-in-law were the ones in charge. She also paid great attention to detail. I am one who notices the little details and she covered EVERTHING and then some. I just can't comment enough about Brittany. It is obvious that she loves what she does and for that I am so so grateful. -

We shopped around at a couple different venues but feel in love when we saw and met the Dulany’s team! Our tour of the property was great, Juanita answered all of our questions and more. We were able to visit the venue two times before officially moving forward and we were so glad we did!
For the wedding day, we had support from the day of coordinator, Lori who help us with providing venue updates during COVID and keeping everything organized for us was awesome! Lori was instrumental in ensuring everything was on time and arrived while we enjoyed our special day!
There were so many amazing places where our photographer and videographer got awesome pictures of us on the property, but one of our favorites was the ceremony location.
We are so impressed with our special day at Dulany’s and we are so thankful for their team making everything come true! We highly recommend!!

Dulany's overlook is not only a beautiful venue, but their staff was amazing and so kind in helping us navigate our pandemic wedding. They kept us updated as regularly as they could on guidelines, rules, regulations, and options for us to work with. Our original date was June 14 2020, and we postponed to June 13 2021. They were fair and helpful with allowing their couples to reschedule, and made sure to keep everyone's safety in mind the whole time. Mark, the owner, and Liz, our coordinator, were so fun and nice to work with. Our day was beautiful! I'm sure it's not easy running a wedding venue, ESPECIALLY during a pandemic, but they are doing it SO WELL!! We also had a chance of rain for the wedding day. They had a plan so that if the rain stopped even 15 mins before the ceremony, we could do it! They were out there drying off the chairs with a leaf blower the MINUTE that rain stopped, and we got to have our ceremony outside and it was perfect. Thank you guys so much!!! -

My husband and I got married here over the weekend. This was the first venue we looked at and fell in love immediately. We looked at a few other venues but none of them gave us the same feeling that Dulany’s Overlook and the owner Mark did. From the very beginning we knew that matching sure our wedding was how we imagined was top priority. They did not disappoint at all! With Covid and all the restrictions we were updated with any changes that were made. We also had a coordinator change about 4 months before our wedding. Brittany was absolutely the greatest! She jumped right in to helping me finalize anything and answered any questions I had! The day of she was on point with everything! Even loaded all the ceremony site decorations into my dads truck for us. I could not have asked for a more perfect day at the most perfect venue! -

Dulanys Overlook is beautiful! My husband and I were immediately in love with the barn there! My coordinator Beth was amazing and organized! She gave me great tips and kept a Facebook group page for her brides to follow to give them ideas and tips throughout the planning period. Mark was always responsive to any questions that I had during the pandemic about the wedding and the status of weddings. Overall, the team there is professional, responsive and puts couples at ease! I would highly recommend! -

My husband and I were married at Dulany's Overlook on September 28, 2019. We had a guest count of 188 (but it could have been closer to 200) and wanted a Saturday wedding. Dulany's was actually the very first venue we visited when scouting out places for the big day. We went to venues all over Maryland and Pennsylvania, and through our research we came full circle and ended up choosing Dulany's for our wedding. You get so much for your money...a venue with a time slot that couldn't be matched by many others for the price, a wedding coordinator, the ability to choose vendors, multiple ceremony options, incredible views, and a team of people who are excited to help you make your day special. We simply couldn't have been happier with our decision!
Mark, the owner, was our initial contact. He is a very kind, polite, and honest person. He has a good sense of humor and was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. My husband and I asked a ton of questions (in person, and through emails), and Mark was always very quick to respond. He let us bring friends and family to visit the venue many times leading up to our wedding date, which we really appreciated.
Ultimately, he assigned us a wedding coordinator, Lori Anderson, who helped us the rest of the way. I cannot say enough good things about this person! Lori and I communicated a lot through texting, some phone calls, and the occasional email. It didn't matter what time of day I messaged her, she was always quick to respond and was super helpful. I was a little unsure of the layout of the barn considering the large guest count that we had. Lori was flexible and understanding when I wanted to switch from rectangular tables to rounds, and we walked the venue several times to make sure we covered everything.
The morning of the wedding, the girls arrived early to get ready. I wanted to set up some decorations and Lori was already on the ball setting up chairs, etc. for the reception. The weather ended up being incredibly warm (about 90 degrees! with some gusty winds). A lot of the easels and decorations ended up blowing over, but she jumped right in to help secure everything. She even came up to ask about decorations for the ceremony and caught something important that we had missed. Her attention to detail made such a difference in many aspects of the day. As each of the bridesmaids and groomsmen proceeded to walk to the aisle, she made sure that each of the groomsman's bow ties was straightened and that everyone proceeded smoothly. As the wedding party was being introduced at the reception, I had a little freak out moment because no one was around to help me bustle my dress, and Lori (who was luckily right near me) jumped in to help me right away. Having never seen my dress or practicing my bustles, she managed to hook it up perfectly! There are so many details like this that I appreciated. She went above and beyond to help make sure our day was special and perfect. We are incredibly grateful to have been matched up with her.
Dulany's is unique in the sense that you can choose all of your vendors and customize the space to fit your vision. Mark and a wedding coordinator will work with you to help make your vision a reality. I loved that we could have our own decorations and put flowers around the trellis. Lori helped us set up different decorations throughout the venue. If you're looking for a place that is flexible and excited to help make your vision a reality, then look no further! Dulany's is the best!

I had looked at 8 or 9 venues before coming to Dulanys. The place itself is so beautiful, it doesnt need much to make to decorate. Lori was absolutely wonderful! I planned the wedding from out of state, and she made sure I was on the right track, coordinated the day of, and really made sure the day was perfect. I can't say enough about this place and I dont think my guests can either. It was soooo perfect. Definitely worth every penny -

Dulany's Overlook was a dream! I absolutely love this stunning venue and all the onsite accommodations. The man cave for the guys is huge and the bridal suite is so stunning! I had my wedding on the lawn with such an amazing view and then we went over to the barn where the cocktail hour and reception is held. Everyone raved about how beautiful this venue was and I was so happy everyone loved it. My favorite part of the venue is the fact that the back wall of the barn can be slid open to reveal the most amazing view during the reception. My coordinator for my wedding was Holly. I highly recommend requesting her! She is fun and so easy to work with. The best part about Holly is she isnt afraid to speak her mind and she gets things done! A huge thank you to the owner of the venue, Mark, and everyone involved for providing an amazing venue and awesome service to help create my dream day! -

We had the best experience with Dulany's Overlook. Our wedding coordinator, Liz, took care of all the details on our wedding day. If there were any hiccups, my husband and I didn't have a clue.
The venue was gorgeous and made for beautiful photos. My husband and our groomsmen had a blast playing pinball before the ceremony and our guests loved having cocktails and dancing in the barn. We would highly recommend Dulany's for a wedding venue. -

I could not have asked for a better experience. Everyone here is super responsive. Our coordinator Missi always got back to us super fast even with all those last minute silly questions. We were being threatened with cold weather and muddiness in the lead up to the big day. They were very flexible, allowing us until 12 pm to decide if we wanted to get married outside or in the barn for a 3 pm wedding. The temperature was in the 50s and got down in to the 40s but it never felt cold in the barn for cocktail or the reception. I did not have to worry about a thing and it all went smoothly. -

The first time we toured Dulany’s it was still under construction. After the tour, Mark was kind enough to sit down with us and go over their plans for finishing the property so we knew exactly what we would be getting if we booked with them. As soon as we left that day, we knew Dulany’s was it for us. Not only because the grounds fit what we were looking for, but because it was obvious that the people who ran it actually cared about and were interested in the couples that booked with them. We toured 8 venues before seeing this one, and none of the others made us feel as welcome and comfortable as Mark did that first day.
Liz was our coordinator and she was a gem throughout our planning process! The weeks leading up to our wedding we had a ton of rain and ended up having to relocate our ceremony site the morning of. Instead of being in a frenzy or frustrated about the last minute change, Liz and Mark took care of getting everything set up in the right space in the most relaxed and professional manner, which only further solidified my love for this place and their staff.
If you’re looking for a stunning venue with top-notch people running it, Dulany’s is your place. We received endless compliments on the venue and staff the day of and following our wedding, and we could not be more pleased with our experience. Even with the last minute ceremony site change our day was absolutely perfect and we can’t recommend Dulany’s enough! -

Tiffany Sent on 10/09/2018The pictures do not do this place justice. Go see this place. It is gorgeous. The staff is flexible, friendly, and responsive. Our venue coordinator was Lori, and she was fantastic. She answered all my questions in the months leading up to the wedding and handled all of our fires on the day. I do wish I had booked a day-of coordinator as well, just because Lori is only one person and she was busy doing venue set-up and handling vendors, and it would have been nice to have someone in the room with me to help control my crazy family and make the decisions for me. But I cannot say enough about how beautiful, elegant, and professional everything was. Work with as many suggested vendors as possible! It makes life so much easier that they all know each other and already have each other's cell numbers. And they were fantastic as well. -

The venue alone is absolutely beautiful, our guests could not stop talking about how gorgeous the location was. The staff at Dulaney’s Overlook was so easy to work with. We would like to thank Juanita for being extremely responsive and helpful when we went on our tour. She was very welcoming and accommodating. She made us feel at home from the very first time. We knew Dulaney’s was the place we wanted for our wedding that very same day. We are also more than thankful with our amazing coordinator, Holly! Holly was God sent. She helped with the wedding process from the beggining until the day of our wedding. Holly made our special day go exactly as we planned it - and exceeded our expectations. We did not feel stressed out at any given point because Holly was always on top of things. If we had to choose again, we will absolutely choose Dulaney’s all over again.

Missi, our coordinator, was a wealth of knowledge and kept everything running smoothly. The location is beautiful, the owners have done an amazing job transforming it into the perfect wedding venue. Kristina Sent on 06/02/2018When we visited Dulany's Overlook, I fell in love. The venue is incredibly beautiful, with multiple options for ceremony sites (we chose the woods- highly recommend!) and a beautiful barn for holding your reception. The barn has a pretty large capacity too, and knowing we were inviting around 200 guests, that was something that had been hard for me to find!
Mark and his team are great and were helpful throughout the wedding planning process. Lori, our venue coordinator, really helped make sure our vendors were set and ready to go the weeks leading up to and day of the wedding so that everyone was on the same page and the day-of logistics were seamless. We were also able to go back multiple times to see the venue and see different projects completed. That's one neat thing about Dulany's- Mark is always looking to improve the venue and provide a better experience for weddings and is constantly making improvements that you wouldn't even think of because the place is so beautiful as is!
One other thing to note is that there is a cute house on site for you and your party to get ready in, with a light-filled upstairs for the bride and company and a cool basement filled with arcade games for the guys!
If you're looking for a gorgeous barn venue with great, friendly staff, I highly recommend Dulany's Overlook! -

Katie Sent on 01/08/2018After looking at several wedding venues, nothing was making us feel like we found a place that represented us. After meeting Mark and Juanita, and pulling up the driveway to see the farmhouse and barn at the top of the hill, we looked at each other and said, “this is the place.” While you can see for yourselves how beautiful the property is, you can’t see how the owners treat you as a client. Mark and Juanita are welcoming, warm, and beyond honest. They made sure that we had the venue set up the way we wanted and that the property was immaculate. While Mark and Juanita assign a coordinator, we highly recommend having a third-party planner, as the coordinator is only responsible for helping to make sure that the venue is set up the way you want (for example, tables and chairs are where you want, etc.). We found having a separate wedding planner really ensured that the details and design were set up the way we wanted. Besides having a perfect, picturesque location and property, we enjoyed having the freedom and privacy of the property the entire day. Having our active dog as part of our wedding was incredibly important to us. The pet policy at Dulany’s Overlook which allowed our dog access to all areas on our wedding day made the day even more perfect. Mark will be there on the day of to ensure there are not issues, in fact, when our shuttle buses couldn’t make the turn onto the property, he jumped on one of the shuttle buses to show the drivers how to access the property from a secondary location. We loved the property for our Sunday wedding and our guests are still raving about how beautiful it was. However, several of our guests commented that although the venue was gorgeous, the bathrooms were not up to par. Several of our guests figured out they could go to the farmhouse, but others tried to hold it instead of using the bathroom trailer. Every time we visited the venue, the bathroom was always fine, but I don’t believe they’re serviced throughout the weekend, so -
Allison Sent on 10/24/2017My husband and I got married at Dulany's Overlook last year, and we STILL have people telling us it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The staff at Dulany's was responsive and accommodating (Missy is the best!), and the time window they give you on the property is very generous (plenty of time for wedding party prep, plus set up and take down). The part I loved the most was Mark's (the owner) attention to detail when he renovated this venue. I can't even list all the examples, but for starters: the farmhouse has a gorgeous suite for the bridesmaids to get ready that includes LOTS of counter space and outlets. The downstairs has a hangout suite for the guys that has a massive TV and some vintage arcade style games. The barn has an upstairs for reception (or rainy day ceremony) and downstairs for cocktails. We loved how having the ceremony, cocktails, and reception all on the property freed up so much time in the day for us and our guests to mingle and celebrate. Every corner is full of beautiful little details like original barn beams, pre-installed twinkle lights, and beautiful chairs (makes a difference!) that make pictures here spectacular. They have three ceremony areas: the barn, the field (with the white trellis), and the woods chapel. We got married in the woods, and the pictures speak for themselves. It was magical. All in all, I highly recommend this location.

The venue is so beautiful and Lori was beyond awesome. If I had to go back and do it again, I wouldn't change anything! Erica Sent on 08/31/2016We were originally getting married at a different location, however they were one of the venues that was closed, leaving us trying to find a new venue location. We had venues laugh at us that we were looking for a Saturday in August.
Marc is the owner and he was so great. They recently started renovating this location when we reached out. He didn't have any spots available at his other locations, but offered to allow us to get married at Dulany's Overlook. That even though he was not supposed to have his first wedding until the first weekend in September, that he would get it done for us to use.
He was great, they finished the beautiful house that we got ready in. The bride is upstairs with so much natural light, it is unbelievable. The groom and groomsmen get ready in the basement, that has so many fun things, such as, a shuffle board, slot machines, pin ball machines, and a tv with cable.
We also utilized the basement of the house as a kid's area with baby's sitters for during the ceremony and reception so parents could have a fun time without kids. The house is beautiful and has a full kitchen in the basement as well.
We had an outdoor ceremony, where there are different areas you could have it. We had ours with the most beautiful back drop. We had some coverage from the trees as well since it was a hot sunny August day.
We then had cocktail hour in the bottom of the barn where it used to be horse stalls. It was so authentic and beautiful. A lot of guest talked about how neat it was that they used that area for this.

Marc and Liz were so great for fitting us in and making our special day amazing. In the end, we are actually extremely thankful our venue was closed down because I honestly don't think any other venue could compare to this location and it's beauty. -

The Most Thought Out Venue!
This venue is truly amazing with two beautiful ceremony sites, the rustic stable cocktail hour area, the string lit barn, and two amazing getting ready suites for the girls and guys - all in one location. The owner, Mark, was great to work with and was so personable. My husband and I had a great time with him when we toured the property. We had some difficulty with the provided wedding coordinator since our coordinator had to be changed twice due to staff changes. We ended up with a great coordinator (Jennifer Carpenter) who was able to make our big day come to life and be just as magical as we would have hoped. The one down side to this venue which we didn't realize until the rehearsal is that all items need to be cleared out of the house the night of the wedding. We didn't schedule in time to clean up the suite, so we had to go back and clean up right after the reception. It wasn't a huge deal, but I wasn't planning on cleaning that space up so make sure you schedule that in. Overall, great venue and so beautiful! -

My husband and I had our wedding at Dulany's Overlook this past August and we were very happy with the venue! Our coordinator was Holly and she did a wonderful job of answering our questions, contacting our vendors and making sure that everything went fairly smoothly. We did have a little hiccup that resulted in the ceremony starting about 15 minutes late and I later learned that the programs were not readily available to all the guests and there was an issue with putting out the place cards, but otherwise everything was wonderful Holly did her best to keep things on track the rest of the time. The views are gorgeous and the venue and house are very well kept, clean and attractive! The venue also was very accommodating as we had to go through the process of postponing our wedding to August from our original date in May, due to COVID. They did everything that they could, and were flexible and worked with us to make our special day everything we hoped it would be! -

Of all of the pieces of our wedding, we received the most compliments on our venue choice. Dulany's Overlook is absolutely stunning. Not only is it beautiful, but it is also practical.
The mansion is beautiful inside and out, and a great place for the bridal party to get ready. The bridal suite has a fridge, salon chairs and lots of room to hang out. The groomsmen had a great time getting ready in the basement where there are vintage games in addition to a full kitchen and a space to get dressed. The venue price includes the ceremony area (including seating, a trellis, even some wine barrels) and spaces for the cocktail hour and reception. For the reception, tables, chairs and bathrooms were provided- no need to spend extra money to rent any of those.
I loved that the cocktail hour took place in what was once horse stables- it has a built in bar and shelter (just in case it rains- like it did during our cocktail hour!) There is plenty of parking available and the guests loved that the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all just a short walk from each other. We loved the wooded ceremony site and the fact that guests could dance and eat inside of the barn or relax outside by the fire pit. So many choices for beautiful wedding photos, including a perfect view of the sunset if you time it correctly.
Mark and his team of wedding planners are so nice, and pleasant to work with. Your own wedding coordinator is included in the price and assigned to you from the beginning - we had a change in planners a couple of weeks before our wedding -but Holly was awesome and did a great job! Our wedding day went very smoothly. I can't thank the staff at Dulany's enough for making sure that our day was perfect. I hope I have friends who also get married here so that I have an excuse to come back and enjoy the beautiful scenery! -

My husband and I booked this venue almost 2 years before our wedding date as we immediately fell in love with the scenic mountain views, the intimate woods, gorgeous estate, and the beautiful barn and cocktail space. Mark and Juanita were great throughout the whole process and our day was executed perfectly. I will say that since we had a wedding during COVID things did become very particular when it came to table/seating placement but that is to be expected. I was paired with a coordinator who did slightly disappointed me as I am type A and appreciate responsiveness and open communication which wasn't reciprocated. However last minute I had the absolute best wedding coordinator, Kim!!! She is legitimately the best of the best. She came in last minute as my previous coordinator had personal things arise and Kim rose to the occasion. She kept me in the loop with everything but made me feel at peace because she had it all handled and squared away. She really made our day amazing and run so smoothly! I couldn't be happier with her and her dedication to her work! If you choose Dulany's for your venue, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Kim as your wedding coordinator!! Overall I can't say anything but great things about this venue, as you can see the venue speaks for itself in its beauty. Again the owners are extremely pleasant and flexible as they try to accommodate to all of their clients. If you haven't book Dulany's Overlook yet, get on it now!!
