Dover Hall was absolutely perfect for our wedding! From the very start, their team made the entire experience effortless and enjoyable. They anticipated every detail, kept everything running smoothly, and handled every moment with professionalism and care, everything felt effortless because of how organized and thoughtful their team was. We worked with Stephanie, and she was incredible and on top of everything throughout the process. The food was another highlight. Chef Leah Randolph created absolutely delicious dishes that our guests loved and are still raving about! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, seamless, and memorable day, we are so grateful to everyone at Dover Hall! -

Our experience with Dover Hall was exceptional from start to finish. The venue itself is stunning and the level of care, professionalism and attention to detail from everyone we worked with there was unmatched. From our first tour of the venue we were blown away by the beauty of Dover Hall and all the unique areas it has for different parts of your wedding day and also by the level of hospitality – offering us champagne during the tour and giving us an amazing gift bag at the end of it.
We had about 250 guests at our wedding and Dover Hall was more than able to accommodate this size. We planned to have our ceremony and cocktail hour outside, but it ended up raining on our wedding day, and they were able to seamlessly transition everything to be inside, without it impacting any other parts of the day. They did such an incredible job with it that we had so many guests who did not realize the ceremony and cocktail hour had not been planned to be inside all along.
We had the pleasure of working with Rachel Kennedy as our event manager and she was an absolute joy to work with. She is truly one of the nicest people you could ever work with. From the moment we met, she was so friendly, kind and accommodating – always going out of her way to make sure we felt comfortable and taken care of – and her enthusiasm about everything is contagious. She was quick to respond, flexible with requests and genuinely cared about making everything perfect for us. Her positive attitude and warmth made our entire experience with Dover Hall such a positive one. Rachel was always willing to go above and beyond for us whether it was giving tours of the venue to our family members when they were in town visiting or coordinating phone calls with Dover Hall’s amazing chef to accommodate our guests’ dietary restrictions. And this level of care and thoughtfulness carried on past our wedding day – we went to one of Dover Hall’s wine dinners a few weeks after our wedding that Rachel was hosting. Rachel so welcoming and excited to see us, and she even snuck us each one of our signature cocktails from our wedding during the dinner. It was such a thoughtful gesture that meant so much to us.
The entire staff at Dover Hall was incredible. Chef Leah is amazing – everything she makes is delicious, so we had the hardest time narrowing down our menu after our tasting with her. Every dish she makes is beautifully prepared and all of our guests were raving about the food at our wedding.
We also stayed at Dover Hall the night of our wedding (and I stayed there with my sister the night before), which was such a great experience and something we would highly recommend. All of the staff made sure this experience was perfect, from the security guards there with us at night, to everyone checking in on us making sure all of our needs were met, to serving us the delicious breakfast that came with the overnight stay.
We also had our rehearsal dinner at Bartizan, Dover Hall’s sister property, which was an equally wonderful experience, and we were lucky enough to work with Rachel for that as well.
We highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a truly luxurious and unforgettable wedding experience.

Dover Hall is a place of fairy tales. The ambiance, the layout, the options, the staff... Absolutely everything was perfect. We felt cared for the entire process from planning, to execution, to the cleanup. My friends and family kept commenting on how much they loved the venue and how impressed they were with the service. Having our wedding at Dover Hall was essentially a perfect experience. They are truly experts in the wedding service industry. There was no detail that went unchecked! They quality of the food was exceptional. Our guests spoke so highly of the food and the service. The wine from 7 Lady Vineyards is also exceptional. Not only were the staff that joined us on wedding day very professional, they were all just kind. I was able to chat with some of them during the rehearsal and they made me feel like they were genuinely excited to be a part of the day. Because their team ironed out every single detail with me leading all of the way up to the wedding, the day of was perfect. It was a zero stress day! I was able to focus on the things that really mattered because we knew that everything would all be taken care of. Beyond that, it is a beautiful venue. If you are looking for a beautiful venue that truly has everything that you need on hand, Dover Hall is an exceptional choice. -

Having our wedding at Dover Hall was amazing from start to finish. From the moment my fiancé and I stepped foot on the grounds, we were welcomed with kindness and support. We worked with Rachel and Stephanie specifically, but I can confidently say that every member of the team made sure that our wedding was exactly what we were hoping for and made the planning process very easy by being open and honest with pricing, incredibly responsive when needed, and unwavering in their support. Our wedding day was flawless. The team executed every detail perfectly from the spaces for us to get ready in throughout the day, the ceremony and reception floor plans, incredible food and stocked bar, and even created a private dinner for my fiancé and I to enjoy while our stationed-style dinner for our guests took place. Our guests were blown away, too. We would not have changed a single thing about our day and cannot recommend Dover Hall more. So professional, organized, and just all around amazing! -

Absolutely magical! We were married at Dover Hall at the end of September and are still glowing from the day. We knew we had found our venue from the moment we walked in the door. This venue is stunning in photos but even more unbelievable in person. So much goes into wedding planning but working with Dover Hall made the process so much easier. From our first email to the end of the wedding reception, Dover Hall had nothing but top notch service. A special thank you to Emily and Stephanie for working so closely with us and answering countless emails. We also want to thank Asia and the catering staff at Dover Hall for making our guests truly feel like royalty on our day. Another highlight was the stunning bridal suite and groom's billiards getting-ready rooms. Absolutely incredible
I cannot say enough good things about Dover Hall. If you get the opportunity to have any kind of event here you are extremely blessed. What I love most about this venue are the people and attention to detail. The team goes above and beyond to make your day incredible. Everyone is so detail oriented and truly make you feel special. We manly worked with Rachel and Silvia who got to know me and my husband very well over our short engagement. I never felt like I was nickel and dimed over cost and they always wanted us to feel special and to choose details that meant the most to us. I do not even know where to start when it comes to describing the unreal magic that is Dover Hall. I will start by saying my husband and I originally booked a castle in Ireland for our wedding venue, however with the pandemic we had to cancel that. Insert finding Dover Hall Estate which is even BETTER than a castle in Ireland and I truly mean that. Whats amazing about Dover is that it has such grandeur yet the staff is just so down to earth and kind. You would almost be intimidated to book a venue as lux as this however when dealing with the team at Dover you are almost dealing with family. When we did the tour we even met one of the owners and he was just the most kind and down to earth gentleman there ever was. I joke with family that Dover Hall is an airbnb on steroids in that you can actually treat it like your home which is unheard of for a place this nice. You would expect everything to be roped off and that you and your guest really would be confined to a small space but it is like you own the estate for the night. We chose to stay at Dover the night of our wedding and rent the rooms that were available for our closet family and friends and that really was the cherry on top of the cake. The mechanics of choosing Dover for your special event is also so simple! Everything is in house and is top notch. I was told the filet at our wedding was the best filet our guest had ever had. The food was delicious! Dover was so accommodating and flexible given all the uncertainties and craziness with getting married during a pandemic, the staff is truly best in class. We worked closely with Madison and she is an absolute gem. I will also note we booked our rehearsal dinner at their sister property bartizan and that really blew us and our guest away and really kicked the wedding weekend off in a very special way. The whole experience was dreamy and stress-free I am so happy that our Ireland wedding got canceled and we got married at Dover Hall Estate. -

We had the most beautiful NYE wedding at Dover Hall. The staff were professional and courteous. The food was amazing, we had many compliments on how great everything was. Miranda in particular was so helpful and accommodating as Omicron impacted our guest list. She helped us navigate any changes needed. As a bride it was just such a relief to know the team had our backs and we could relax and enjoy the day. Not only is the staff great but it is just so beautiful there. We just loved it. -

We got married at Dover Hall on 1/16/22. Dover Hall is an absolutely exceptional venue from the beauty of it to the experience their team provides couples. They say you get what you pay for and that is definitely true with this venue. It is on the pricier side of Richmond venues but absolutely worth every penny. A couple highlights -
- The Food - Hands down best food I’ve ever had at a wedding, and so many of our guests commented on it. The tasting was such a cool experience - You can bring two additional guests to the tasting and take them on the tour of the house.
The staff - Their Director of Sales, Miranda, was amazing to work with from day 1 of touring through the wedding. They were slammed in 2021 with 3 weddings every weekend, but she still made us feel like a priority and did a great job of staying connected with us and our coordinator. We also had a unique experience that makes me appreciate the venue even more. The weather forecast was calling for a significant snowstorm the day of our wedding and Miranda set up a call with one of the owners, Jeff, a few days before to talk through options. They were incredibly flexible and accommodating. We had the option to move our wedding to a new date as late as 2 days before the wedding at no cost. We luckily were able to have the wedding but that flexibility with an event contract is very rare!
- Every space is stunning - You aren’t just getting a beautiful ceremony or reception space. You get a huge, stunning bridal suite to get ready in, and so many different spots for photos. The cocktail hour can be throughout the house which is a cool experience for guests. Highly recommend Dover particularly for winter brides doing everything inside - they fit up to 150. Overall, the space speaks for itself, so worth putting your budget toward the venue and less toward decor!

Our wedding at Dover Hall was a dream come true! The venue was the most beautiful place. Miranda Bricker was an absolute delight to work with. Miranda and the team at Dover made sure the process of moving our September 2020 wedding to June 2021 was a smooth transition. The vendors they recommend were excellent and the staff at the wedding were very professional and fun! The attention to detail was amazing and the day was perfect. Dover Hall is everything you could ever dream of. Leaving the estate after our wedding weekend, I cried my eyes out knowing it was all over. There are no other words to describe Dover Hall other than perfect. If you have any hesitations about booking Dover Hall for your big day, don’t. It will be the absolute best way for you to make your wedding day everything you hoped for and more. From our first tour of Dover Hall, we were captivated by the beauty of everything this estate has to offer. We could clearly see that we could have the most beautiful setting for our wedding at Dover Hall, but it has so much more to offer than the incredible architecture you see before your eyes. The staff went above and beyond to fulfill every request we had and make our big day and wedding weekend special for us. Miranda, Melanie, and Nadia are just some of the few amazing people of the team that helped make our wedding day go perfectly. Chef Lee made the most delicious food starting with our tasting, to our rehearsal dinner, to the wedding, and post wedding brunch. We were in food heaven and I wish I could go back and eat it all over and over again. I am looking forward to the day when my husband and I go back to Dover Hall to stay at the amazing estate again, this time for our anniversary. We just know that the Dover Hall team will treat us as wonderfully as they did for our wedding. -

Oh wow, where do I start? Dover Hall was our first and only choice for our wedding venue. We were drawn to the space for so many reasons; the warm and cozy space for our winter wedding, the elegance, the superior staff, outstanding food, and the indoor capacity but we were surprised to find our expectations not only met but surpassed in every way. As a wedding photographer, I knew that a venue could be stunning but without exceptional service, a wedding day struggles to feel special for the couple, vendors and staff. I had photographed a wedding at Dover Hall a few years prior to our wedding and my experience as a vendor had me sold. As a photographer, they made my experience outstanding, provided the best food and made sure I felt comfortable, all to ensure that the couple we were serving had the very best day. When choosing Dover for our own wedding venue, we knew that if they treated vendors in this way, the experience as a couple would be something special. From the day of booking to our New Year's Eve wedding, Melanie and Miranda's constant encouragement, structure, and professionalism was a grounding place for us throughout the whole planning process. On the wedding day, Miranda, Melanie, Nadia, Chef Lee and the whole staff worked overtime to fill in gaps, make sure the day ran smoothly and in the end were intricate parts in creating the very best day for us. We cannot thank them enough. We love Dover Hall and recommend it to everyone! -

Where do I even begin!? I recently got married at Dover Hall Estate and let me just tell you, it was hands down the best day of my life! Our wedding was truly like something out of a fairytale.
My husband and I live in Northern California with no ties to Virginia, so this was a destination wedding for all. California has some amazing venues but we were looking for something with a grand European vibe and ideally wanted to be able to stay overnight at the venue. Dover Hall checked all of our boxes so we booked it site unseen and we are SO GLAD we did! Not to mention, the views alone were breathtaking, even better in person!
The incredible people who make this venue come to life deserve an award.
We grew to love Miranda and Melanie who were amazing throughout the entire process and made each step seem like a breeze. They recommended several vendors which we ended up working with Alana, from Chancey Charm and Casey from Cultivate Event Co. both of which I would also highly recommend as everyone had such great chemistry with the Dover Hall gals and made us feel at home.
Chef Lee and Nadia also played a significant role. Chef Lee not only prepared our reception dinner but our rehearsal dinner as well.. and let’s just say, people are still raving about the food!
We are forever grateful for Dover hall and cant wait to travel down memory lane when we plan our next trip back!

Dover Hall is the full package. Perfectly nestled outside of Richmond, it is a convenient location making it logistically easy for your guests. When we arrived for a tour I was speechless at how elegant the estate was. It is the most beautiful venue (best rain back up option so you don't have to sacrifice a beautiful ceremony on account of weather!), incredible staff, fairy tale bridal suite, incredible food & drinks, and to top it all of they have the most wonderful, professional staff. As we worked to develop a vision for our wedding Dover Hall helped us every step of the way, bringing with them a client centered approach. We wanted to also host the rehearsal dinner at Dover and because of the multitude of beautiful spaces they could easily accommodate us. They answered any questions we had and made our wedding feel one of a kind. They made planning our wedding enjoyable! Dover Hall and its incredible staff will always have a special spot in our hearts because of how amazing they made our wedding weekend! -

Dover Hall is the perfect wedding venue. We are so grateful to Miranda, Melanie, Chef Lee, and the rest of the team at Dover Hall for making our wedding day beyond perfect. Miranda was absolutely lovely to work with--she enthusiastically answered all of our questions and helped us create a vision for our big day. Melanie did an amazing job taking care of all of the little details in the months leading up to the wedding and made sure that the day itself ran flawlessly. The menu that Chef Lee and his colleagues prepared was absolutely delicious! We are still so excited that Chef Lee and Melanie made our signature drink a reality. It was also very well staffed on the wedding day. We had complete faith in the staff at Dover Hall to do a fabulous job and they exceeded all of our expectations.
In addition to the team at Dover Hall, the venue itself is just incredible. We completed a lot of research and there was nothing to rival Dover Hall in the area. Dover Hall is a gorgeous venue that makes you feel like you stepped back in time. The bridal suite and groomsmen rooms were incomparable. The estate is beautiful and there is a lot for your guests to explore and appreciate. The ballroom is incredible, and you will absolutely feel like the queen/king of the day descending the beautiful staircase. The pub (imported from Europe) is a showstopper and conversation starter. They are so many beautiful rooms to take amazing photos in. There are also a lot of fantastic spaces outside if the weather is nice! And the size of the dance floor ended up being perfect. Our guests loved Dover Hall and are still raving about how special the venue is.
This was honestly the most professionally-run, incredible, fun, and unique wedding we have ever been to. We HIGHLY recommend Dover Hall!

We don’t know what to say except that our wedding was by far the best wedding we have ever been to. We couldn’t have done it without Dover hall. Dover Hall’s staff were so professional, friendly, informative, and communicative. Hosting our wedding at Dover Hall was probably the most important & definitely the best decision we made in our planning experience. The hospitality and service were so amazing. The entire team was incredibly accommodating from our planning meetings with Miranda & Melanie, all the way to our house concierge and the owners - the customer service was top rate. We spent the full weekend on the property with 20 people - it made for the most relaxing weekend and it truly felt like home by the time we left on Sunday afternoon. I would highly recommend the venue to anyone considering it! Not only is it stunningly beautiful and unique, but Chef Lee is a genius - all of the food was incredible. We had our rehearsal dinner there as well, and the food was amazing! I had at least a dozen people come up to me after the wedding & say that it was one of the coolest venues that they have ever been to. We love it there so much, we plan to go back to stay for our anniversary! -

My wife at I got married and had our reception at Dover Hall during the summer of 2019, and it was one of the best decisions we ever made! Throughout our tours of possible wedding locales, we visited a myriad of different types of places; winery, museums, country clubs, and garden spaces. None of the sites we visited holds a candle to Dover Hall.
As you drive down the driveway towards Dover Hall, you are immediately awestruck by its presence and beauty; it indeed looks like something out of a movie.
The best part? The Dover Hall team is just as amazing! They were a joy to work with every step of the way and made life easier on our wedding planner!
We cannot recommend Dover Hall enough. The outside is breathtaking, the inside is grand, and the team is top-notch. If you've been wondering where to get married in the Richmond area, STOP! You've found the place to hold your dream wedding - it is Dover Hall! -

WOW! The minute I pulled up to Dover Hall I said to myself this is where I am going to get married! We did not check out any other venues. Dover hall is breathtaking. We knew this was the perfect location for the wedding of our dreams! On top of how gorgeous Dover Hall is, the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. I felt like they went beyond their roles helping us and making our day perfect. Our wedding theme was glitz and cinderella, meet Slovakia with a touch of Scotland. And our wedding day was filled beyond the max. Thank you Dover Hall team! I want to repeat 9/28/19 all over again! My wedding was definitely the BEST, most memorable, and most FUN wedding I have been too. :) -

Dover Hall was the right fit for our wedding for the following three reasons. The ceremony and reception could be in the same space, there was an elevator for my 93 year old grandmother AND they had great parking. It is expensive but my guests flipped out about how beautiful the venue was and the staff were pretty incredible. I personally think it was worth the money as they are really on top of wedding details and accommodating. I could not have imagined another venue and it was so unique, our wedding really was special.Dover Hall's reply:

I don’t know where to begin with expressing my gratitude and appreciation of the Dover Hall team, but I think it is fair to start by saying that from wedding planning to the actual day, all my expectations were exceeded. My husband and I toured several venues in the Virginia area looking for the right aesthetic, wedding package options, top-notch menus, and an involved staff. As soon as we toured Dover Hall the remaining scheduled venue tours were cancelled because we knew immediately that we found our dream venue. I highly recommend staying the night over a wedding weekend to take full advantage of the estate. There is so much to explore and see!
We would like to thank the team for their time, energy, and patience that they devoted to us. While Dover Hall was coordinating wedding and events for other clients, it always felt as though we were their top priority. Miranda was incredible at communicating over e-mail, answering any and all questions we had, and making suggestions to enhance our theme/vision. Melanie was a super-star assisting with day-of help and making sure our guests had a great experience – not to mention helping execute a wedding gift surprise during the reception. And to Chef Lee, we still dream about your gnocchi and gorgeous plating – everything was perfection!

Where do I even begin???!! Chef Lee’s amazing food? The unbelievable hospitality from the Dover Hall team? The natural beauty and sophisticatedly elegant aura that the estate gives off the second you drive down the long winding driveway? Safe to say, our wedding at Dover Hall exceeded all expectations!
Driving up the long driveway, looking at the beautiful greenery and castle-like home, you can’t help but feel in love. When my wife and I (still getting used to saying that) stepped inside, we couldn’t believe what we saw. All the furniture inside was imported from various parts of Europe which gives off an elegant feel, and every room had a personality of its own. Whether it’s the library where my wife and I sat and played chess one morning, the billiard room where our wedding party spent the night before our wedding hanging out and playing cards or the garden where we exchanged vows in front of our closest friends and family, you will always find a room or location at Dover Hall for any and every occasion… not to mention, you’ll feel like you’re royalty while doing it.
Now, with a venue as beautiful and elegant as Dover Hall, we couldn’t help but wonder what restrictions we would have. But we were pleasantly surprised when the Dover Hall team (Miranda, Melanie and Nadia) helped make all of our dreams come true! They’re some of the nicest and most talented individuals you will ever meet (along with our awesome Wedding Planner Kate from Glint Events) and they did everything to make our wedding weekend as perfect as Dover Hall. It was also super helpful having our vendors Dover Hall, Glint Events, AMorgan Florals and Alex Tenser Photos all know one another and the venue extremely well, it was a perfect team and match, and they’re the true experts at doing weddings at Dover Hall! Everything was flawless.
Also, if you’re like my wife and can’t help but imagine Hogwarts when you look at Dover Hall (yes, my wife is a huge Harry Potter nerd), you won’t be disappointed! Since our theme was elegant and classy, we used the scenery of Dover Hall and incorporated a few small Harry Potter accents (with the help of Glint Events) to share our personalities with our wedding guests, which they loved!
We made our wedding a destination wedding solely because of Dover Hall. We made our families and friends travel and trust me they were not disappointed in the slightest. Miranda, Melanie and the rest of the crew made it super easy for us even though we live about 2 hours away and work full-time in very demanding jobs. So even though we could only make a few trips down to Dover Hall for a food tasting and final walkthrough, the Dover Hall team never put a doubt in our minds and always made us feel comfortable.
We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at Dover Hall and stayed there for the weekend with our groomsmen and bridesmaids. And don’t worry, if you have a big wedding party, the Dover Hall team will organize it so that everyone can stay at the estate. We comfortably fit over 20 guests including ourselves. We were treated like royalty. They tended to all of our needs and we did not experience a single issue. Nadia and the rest of the on-site crew were unbelievable and very nice. Chef Lee cooked for us all weekend, and I don’t think I am exaggerating at all when I say that I think Lee should be a contestant on MasterChef cooking for Gordon Ramsay. He is that good. Our wedding was over a month ago, and we still can’t go a week without someone saying “hey remember the food at your wedding?”. The bartenders were very friendly and approachable and definitely knew their stuff. Jeff, one of the owners, was also very friendly and welcoming and made us feel right at home.
I could write about Dover Hall and the people there all day honestly, but I should probably stop soon! I will end with this: If you are thinking about getting married at Dover Hall and have any doubts at all, just go see it, go meet the people and you will definitely not regret it! -

A one-of-a-kind venue, with world class customer service. As a wedding vendor based in the area, I have worked at many "luxury" venues that are nice in appearance but totally lack in the experience department. Dover Hall, however, is the real deal. From our first contact with them, and then every step along the journey to our wedding day, The Dover Hall team absolutely blew us away with their dedication to excellence. The entire staff is nothing short of amazing. The owners of the venue, Chad, and Jeff personally ensured the quality of every aspect of our wedding and treated my wife and I both like family and made us feel so relaxed on the actual day. Miranda and Jamie were both super knowledgable about the rich history of the venue and were incredibly accommodating to any and all needs we had for the wedding. As if the customer service wasn't enough, the property itself is truly one of a kind with priceless paintings and lavish furniture you simply do not find unless you are in the presence of royalty. The entire venue was rented to us for the whole weekend which meant there wasn't a bunch of random people we didn't know walking around that aren't attending the wedding (I see this at a lot of Virginia venues). The memories we made with family and friends being able to sleep in this one-of-a-kind house are priceless and honestly one of the biggest selling points of this venue. Last but not least, the head chef Lee created the absolute best food I have ever tasted. The food and catering is truly exceptional and it had all of our guest raving for days. I could write a whole novel about how amazing our experience was, but I will sum it up by saying if you're looking for a venue in Virginia and want an unparalleled experience from the top to bottom, stop your search now and book Dover. Thank you to everyone on the Dover Hall team for making our wedding day even better than we could have ever imagined. I would rate them 10 stars if I could. Look forward to many more anniversary parties at the venue in the years to come! -

They truly had every detail executed and under control that it was such a breeze to just be a bride and have fun! Kathy Sent on 09/17/2018The best venue I could have dreamt for! We rented out the entire building for the weekend (which is required in peak wedding season) and I am so glad we did. Dover hosted both our rehearsal dinner, and wedding/reception! Miranda (wedding coordinator for Dover) and the owners provided a top notch experience with kindness, class, and ease. The venue is gorgeous, the staff is fun AND professional. While there are always challenges (a couple rooms AC did not work), they handled it all with ease and grace, and found solutions. I loved this space and cannot wait to return to stay at their b&b! What an incredible weekend, it is all because Dover made this possible! The food is superb; the staff is helpful; the venue is epic; The outdoor space is gorgeous. I truly believe this is best venue near Richmond!! One note: If you want a tent for the outside (above their terrace or a stand alone), you do need to use an outside vendor (however Dover may acquire one soon) which is a cost to add if you are hoping to use their outside space and need a rain plan. With this being said, If I had to do it all over, I would use Dover again and again. We splurged on this venue and it was our best decision.

Stella Sent on 07/26/2018From the moment my now husband, and I laid eyes on each other, we knew that we would be each other's happy ending!
Now, fast forward 8yrs and after being surprised in the most magical way with a surreal proposal, it was time to plan our big day!
Since coincidentally our 10yr anniversary fell on a Saturday in 2017, what better way to mark the start of our new chapter then by having our wedding on that date, and so the date was set!
After our initial venue falling through, and only 5 months left till the wedding, we didn't know what we would do.
Due to our wedding theme being Elegant Royal Victorian, we needed a venue that would fit it. We then came across Dover Hall, and were instantly mesmerized by its enchanting beauty.
After a quick call to see if our date was available, we made an appointment to go visit. We met with the event coordinator Peggy who was incredibly cordial, and we signed the contract that same day! We have so many wonderful things to say about Dover Hall, and its staff, that this review would end up being about 20 pages long!
The venue is simply incredible, and it's pictures don't do it justice. The high level of professionalism and expertise the entire staff offers the couple, really allows the them to just sit back for a bit, and enjoy the planning process. Everything from the extravagant decor and furnishing in the venue, as well as the elegant fine china selections, to their wonderful eye for detail, and their refined and mouth watering menu's, are just a few of the things Dover has to offer!
Our wedding day was referred to as our fairytale royal wedding! We could not have asked for a more perfect venue, and for better qualified professionals.
Although our wedding has passed, our friends and family are still talking about how beautiful and perfect everything was!
Thank you DH for helping us have the most amazing wedding, and for being the perfect venue for us to create our ever lasting memories!

After our wedding planner reached out and they heard about the situation they welcomed up with open arms and even price matched with our other venue! I was in complete tears from their kindness! My husband and I both work in the wedding industry and value customer service so much, and they were BEYOND AMAZING in every. single. way. I could not give you one complaint! From the coordinator Miranda, to the owners, to the chef to all the staff members, we felt like family with them. I could not have imagined a more perfect place or day for our wedding. Dover Hall truly is an amazing venue and the people behind it value their couples and families and make them a top priority in every way. Our wedding was an absolute dream at Dover Hall! The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the staff was incredible on the day of our wedding. Miranda was great, responsive, personable, and awesome to work with. They were super accommodating to any request we had which made our wedding day truly feel like ours. Our wedding was an absolute dream! We knew Dover Hall was the one when we went on the initial tour with Miranda. She was personable and professional from the beginning and answered our many questions. Our tasting experience was wonderful with Miranda and Melanie - all the dishes arranged by Chef Lee were delightful and it felt like you were having a meal in a cozy restaurant. It is clear the entire staff is experienced and knowledgeable about every aspect of the venue, and if there were any questions they couldn't address right away they were quick to follow-up afterwards.
We booked Dover Hall and planned for our celebration for about two years, and in that time COVID hit with full force which made us reassess our vision for our celebrations. Miranda and Melanie were very responsive as we communicated concerns with safety and rescheduling. To be transparent, there were many email correspondences as Dover Hall adapted to this new situation, and in the beginning it was a bit of a challenge to figure out the best solution. We ultimately decided to have an intimate celebration with our immediate family and bridal party and Dover Hall was happy to accommodate these changes. We were worried Dover Hall would feel overwhelming for such a small party, but the feedback was the complete opposite. Everyone's jaw dropped when they saw the venue in person and explored the different parts of the estate throughout the day. Our parents loved the setting and atmosphere, our guests raved about the food, and everyone was on the dance floor by the end of the night.
A consistent comment we received from our guests was the excellent service Dover Hall provided. From the beginning, one of our priorities for our wedding celebration was to make sure our guests felt welcomed. The attentive and professional staff made this goal a breeze. We are so happy to have celebrated with our loved ones despite a year of uncertainties, and we are so grateful to have worked with Dover Hall and the amazing staff to make it happen. We wouldn't have it any other way! -

Dover Hall was a wonderful choice for our wedding venue. As a New Yorker I am used to the all-inclusive style of event planning where the venue provides most of what is needed. Dover Hall made our wedding a dream come true. Everyone who works at Dover Hall is committed to ensuring your wedding day is perfect. Melinda and Melanie were our main points of contact. With full disclosure, there were some bumps in the road with planning and miscommunication, but we were able to work together, and they professionally solved and addressed any issues. The owners are truly fantastic and everyone at Dover Hall is caring. On our wedding day we felt their kindness and care for us. Chef Lee is a genius!! He is the man that you want to create a beautiful menu. From the canapes to the main course, Chef Lee delivered and then some. He was able to take my West-Indian and South Indian background and fuse some elements into our wedding day food and it made my family so happy to see that. The grounds of Dover Hall are beautifully manicured and the perfect place to have your wedding ceremony and reception. The bridal suite is the most beautiful and largest one I have ever been in and provides more than enough room for the bridal party plus mothers and sisters. Whenever I think of our wedding day it fills me with joy. Dover Hall is a fantastic wedding venue, with an interesting history, and you want to chose it for your wedding venue. Our friends and family came from all over the USA, England, and Canada and everyone was impressed by Dover Hall. Thank you Dover Hall for everything you did to make our wedding day the absolute best. Our wedding was absolutely a dream come true because of Dover Hall. The venue itself is a castle - every single guest gasped when they saw it from the outside, and walked through the gorgeously decorated rooms in awe. The staff also made the planning experience for me as a bride easy and seamless. Miranda, Melanie, and the whole team were incredibly kind, organized, accommodating, creative, and helpful. The chef and catering that Dover has was also one of the top things my guests raved about — every single appetizer and course were delectable. The bridal suite and the grooms suite were so unique and breathtaking to spend the day in as well. I would absolutely recommend this venue and all it entails to anyone! I got married at Dover Hall and got to see my dream wedding come to life! My guests were blown away by the uniqueness and beauty of this magical venue. The chef is incredible and every meal came out delicious, hot, and plated to perfection - which is extremely hard to do for a guest count above 150. There is a huge team of staff on wedding day to accommodate your every need, and they were also heavily involved and accessible during the planning process to make sure everything ran smoothly. They worked with all of my vendors to help execute the perfect day. I would recommend this events venue to anyone, you will not regret it and I am still beaming over the best day of my life! -

We booked our wedding here before we were even engaged. That's how sure we were that this is where we wanted to get married. I'm so glad we got the date we wanted too bc if we had waited, we probably would've had to get married after the new year. We also booked lodging: the night before our wedding for me & my bridal party, the night of our wedding just for me & my groom. When you're planning a wedding with a royal theme, there's really no better place in the area. People don't believe you when you tell them it used to be a single-family home. It's extravagant & massive & already perfectly decorated, so all we needed were the florals & a few signs...ta-da! Wedding! -

I love Dover Hall and we had a first-class experience with the Sales and Operations team. Miranda and Madison let us tour the venue several times and were regularly available to answer all my questions. We had a gorgeous wedding at this venue and received many compliments from our guests on the decor, space, and the outstanding food!
I should note that the venue has struggled a bit due to the coronavirus and a lot of staff turnover. Our tables were set up late on wedding day and the ceremony chairs had to be re- organized by the wedding planner/florist. We had more trouble getting in contact as the wedding got closer and we were unable to have our rehearsal at the venue due to a rescheduled COVID wedding. Overall small details but it was noticeable that the venue was under increased stress this season.
One small piece of constructive criticism from me is that we think they missed an opportunity at the tasting. We loved all the food we tasted but we were only able to taste a few items. We would have loved to try more options, to see the table set with linens as it would be on wedding day and to try some of the wines/mixed drinks with our food. Again, this is a small detail but one that would have been appreciated.

My husband and I had the most incredible wedding at Dover Hall.
However, the months leading up the event we weren't quite sure what to expect. There were some red flags from day one but I think we were at an unfortunate time between old management and new management taking over. They have since brought on new team members and I believe are in a better place but I'd still recommend hiring a full-service wedding planner, double checking everything, and getting anything promised in writing.
One of my biggest concerns was the food, I wanted it to be unforgettable and Chef Lee made it happen. Everything was delicious and he even made me a special plate when the waiters kept clearing my plate while I was dancing. He truly went above and beyond all weekend to make sure I was happy.
If you have the opportunity, take advantage of staying there for the weekend. We had so much fun hanging out, swimming and Jamie (who manages the estate) was incredible.
One of the biggest selling points was that it is now a B&B and they have events open to the public. We can't wait to go back and reminisce for years to come.
