Doubletree North Miami is not only a beautiful venue but also has the most hospitable employees!
Words fail us as we look back on our journey leading to our dream day. We had looked at different venues in Miami but when we walked into DoubleTree Ocean Point Resort North Miami, the beauty of the venue was just breath taking...We were welcomed by a very gracious lady Ms. Florencia Almerares who is the sales manager. Her kindness and attention to detail is amazing. She took us on a tour of the venue taking time to answer our questions. Although we had to postpone our wedding that was supposed to be in July of 2020 due to the pandemic, we never had to worry about a thing. She made sure all our requests of any concerns were addressed. When the big day came she coordinated with all our vendors to ensure our special day was just simply Beautiful! We can never thank you enough for being our peace from booking the venue, providing awesome block rates and working tirelessly with our vendors. Thank you for the Memories! Mr. & Mrs DaSilva-

Beautiful Venue!
My wedding at the DoubleTree Resort was absolutely amazing. The planning process was a little rough as my original coordinator left and the person who replaced her was awful so the couple months I had to deal with her were very stressful. However, they soon fired her and replaced her with Victoria, the current coordinator at the venue. Victoria is amazing! When we first met I was stressed and worried about how the wedding would turn out after the issues I had with the previous coordinator. She quickly gave a sincere apology on behalf of the venue and made sure I had no more issues from there on out! She was always available by text/call/email and went above and beyond to help us plan and coordinate our wedding day. She helped us more than she had to especially on our wedding day and went out of her way to make sure things went smoothly which they did! You can tell Victoria is passionate about event planning and I'm so grateful I was able to work with her for ours. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. Ocean views from the 3rd floor deck or a room with the same exact view inside in case of bad weather. Our reception was inside the ball room and it was so nice being able to hangout inside or outside on the patio during the reception. They easily accommodated our 100+ guest wedding. Their prices were also very reasonable for food/drink and super competitive with the other venues in the area. They even cooked Indian food for us for the first time to accommodate mine and my husbands family! We received so many compliments on the venue and the food. I'm so glad I chose to have my wedding here. Thank you for making my day so special!-

Great venue and awesome Catering Sales Manager!
The location is great, it's a beautiful venue, affordable hotel rooms, and Florencia is really great. Couldn't be happier with our selection. The food is amazing, the view is spectacular, etc. I could go on and on. I recommend this Doubletree and Florencia 100%. -

Amazing Wedding Venue!
Overall amazing experience throughout the entire process, the triple rebooking with COVID was made seamless! I couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue and coordinator. Florencia was absolutely superb in facilitating the entire process. Definitely recommend, 10/10 and all the guest were very impressed with the view and the food!-

Amazing oceanfront wedding Jan 4, 2020
Our wedding at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Ocean Point Resort & Spa, was absolutely perfect! Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were held in three different rooms – all on the same floor. This venue offered the option of both outdoor and indoor event spaces, which we found to be quite impressive given the benefits of both. The area was excellent when it came to accommodations for both our civil and religious ceremony. The panoramic oceanfront view was breathtaking as it illuminated the entire setting and emphasized the vibrant colors we chose for our ceremony. The hotel has direct access to the beach, which allowed for us to take some wedding pictures near the ocean and walk along the shore. The tables, tablecloths, and table décor were presented elegantly and exactly how it was discussed. The event sales manager, Florencia, was exceedingly helpful throughout the whole process, including planning and executing the event. The meals prepared by Chef William and his staff were exquisite, offering a wide variety of options for the plates. The suite we stayed in during our wedding night was prepared well in advance and was setup to adjust for a “newly wedded couple” (terrific presentation from the housekeeping department)! The entire suite was to our liking, ranging from the comfortable bed to the glistening bathroom and even the spacious kitchen area. The next morning, the hotel prepared a delicious and well-presented breakfast for us downstairs. Our wedding and stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton was a unique, prominent, and awe-inspiring experience. The hospitality conveyed by the staff, alongside the stunning beach view made the day extra special in all the right ways! I would highly recommend this establishment for any event-oriented purposes. -

Best View- Wedding Oct 22th, 2019
We had the best experience hosting our wedding here at the Doubletree in Sunny Isles. To start, when you enter the room looking over the ocean, it is just a jaw dropper. From the time we walked in we were treated really good. Everyone wants your experience to be the best. The catering sales manager, Florencia took care of the all the wedding details and made sure everything was on point, answered any and all questions promptly. William, the catering manager made sure our day ran smooth. He was there early and until we finished. His staff was friendly and professional as well. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all there in different rooms. Most of our guests and our entire bridal party stayed at the hotel as well. The rooms were very big, spacious and clean. We met up for breakfast and enjoyed the pool. And can't forget about their delicious cookies. Everything was just perfect and ran smooth. This is the best place to have your wedding or event. We are so happy and pleased.-

Windy but wonderful!
Our wedding day was nothing short of magical. Due to extreme weather conditions (20mph continuous winds), we were forced inside for our ceremony. This didn’t stop the staff of the DoubleTree Ocean Point from delivering absolute MAGIC! The backup ceremony and cocktail hour spaces were delicately designed with all the right trimmings to make the beginning of our night simply amazing. The reception room was also perfectly laid out and we were able to dance dance dance the night away. Special thank you to Florencia, the catering sales manager for always being prompt with answers to our questions and concerns. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue to anyone looking for a moderately priced, incredible location equidistant from MIA and FLL airports. Worth every penny! -

Completetly satisfied with our wedding experiance at Ocean Point Resort
Ocean point resort was the perfect venue for our special day. After looking at over 15 other venues in south florida we picked ocean point for its beautiful views, their affordable price and the all inclusive package that made it easy and convenient to plan our destination wedding. Florencia (wedding coordinator) was absolutely amazing! She helped plan every detail to make sure our wedding was perfect. She goes above and beyond to ensure the bride and groom are happy. Ocean point provides exceptional customer service, my guests and I were impressed by the delightful hotel staff who were welcoming and made our stay very enjoyable. All of the staff is wonderful, from the housekeepers to the bartenders and the staff at the front desk. The chef was not only friendly and courteous, but all of our guests loved his food. Destination Wedding of our Dreams
When we realized St. Thomas was still recovering from the hurricane of 2017, we decided to switch our destination wedding location to Miami, Fl. The hunt for the perfect location was on, and we considered everything we possibly could (location, price, amenities, communication/response) before deciding Doubletree Ocean Point was perfect for us. It's right on the beach, has two jacuzzis, wifi, buffet breakfast option ($20) and is just 25 minutes from Downtown Miami, FLL airport and Wynwood Art District.
At first, we intended on having 130 guests, but it being a destination wedding, 50 confirmed and Doubletree was ready for either.
I started off with the catering manager Yamille, who consulted with us and helped us pick the right part of the hotel for the ceremony after showing us 3 options. One of the great things about Doubletree is that whether you're inside our outside, the views can't be beaten AND you're only steps away from the reception location and your hotel room.
Yamille welcomed us with open arms when we visited for our tasting and we were treated to staying in one of the honeymoon suites during our visit!
Sadly, Yamille ended up leaving her job 1 month before our wedding. You can imagine our panic when we were introduced to Florencia, but Florencia patiently accepted our panic and helped sooth us into understanding she was equally capable of pulling everything together. Considering how little time Florencia had, she gathered as much information (some was missing) as she could and clarified information. She responded same-day a week out from the wedding (and trust me, I was checking in almost every other day), and coordinated SO WELL with my sister-in-law who is also a catering manager (in our state). Once I linked all vendors together, Florencia assured me all will be well and go smoothly.
Now, the day before the wedding at our rehearsal, Florencia informed me she would be unable to head the wedding BUT connected me with William, the Executive Chef who served us during our tasting back in November. There was a moment of hesitation, but upon realizing he had been kept up-to-date, and got the opportunity to meet and talk with Florencia and our day-of planner, we were willing to trust that regardless of who was in control, all would be well.
And it was. Right down to the moment the rain clouds appeared and our outdoor wedding got switched to an indoor one just 15 minutes before the ceremony start time. William was on top of it and the Doubletree staff worked so quickly to make sure everything went well.
William made sure the food was delicious, and had even remembered our meat selection we told him about during the tasting. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended.
It was our dream wedding and I will never forget it.-

We figured we’d go “home” for our nuptials. All I can say is that the Yamille, her staff and the Double Tree did not disappoint! This being our second big event there in the last 3 years. I can say the entire staff from front desk staff, house keeping, engineering, security, to the parking and beach attendants to the barmaids to the restaurant staff were once again spectacular!!
From day one everything went as clockwork, timely, organized and with the upmost profesionalism.
I can not thank Yamille and the entire staff for making our wedding not only spectacular but so very memorable for us and our guest.
Yamille went above and beyond partially with the care of the entire event and heartfelt warmth she displayed to us. She’s always made my entire family feel like one of her own.
If you’re looking for breathtaking views, top notch amenities and quality service.... look no further!

First of all, my husband Joshua and I are truly grateful to have experienced an unforgettable wedding weekend at the DoubleTree Ocean Point Resort. We knew we wanted to have our destination wedding in Florida but choosing where to have it was a tough decision. After a month of being engaged, we scheduled a tour with Yamille and as soon as we arrived to the property, we knew this would be the perfect place for our wedding. It had all the unique qualities we were looking for to have our ceremony and reception. The Atlantic Room view is what captured our hearts! Once the tour was over, we contacted our wedding planner right away to confirm THIS IS THE PLACE! Every step of the way, Yamille was so flexible in working with us to make sure we had the food and financial aspect in order for the wedding. About 5 months out from the wedding, we even decided to have the rehearsal dinner here as well which worked out in our favor as most of our guests were staying at the hotel. As food is the most important part of any gathering, my husband and I knew after our food tasting that we would be in good hands. Chef Will really has the magic touch and knows how to get down in the kitchen : ) The food was amazing for both the rehearsal and wedding day, our guests are still raving about it. Also, working with Dianna, the hotel reservation coordinator was helpful. She was able to assist with all my questions up until the week of the wedding to make sure our guest reservation process was smooth. The complimentary upgrades were amazing, my husband and I felt like royalty. We would highly recommend this location to anyone that is looking to have their wedding in the Miami area... Great views, great beach, amazing hotel staff and great food! My husband and I had the most perfect weekend here with our family and friends. Everyone is still raving about how great the hotel was and how much fun they had. -

Yamille at the Doubletree Ocean Point Resort saved my wedding! After losing my original reception venue 3 weeks before my wedding date, I was fortunate to find availability at the Doubletree. Yamille, made the planning process go smoothly, despite the time constraints. She worked with our budget and offered great suggestions to make our reception look amazing! The staff and the chef were outstanding as well. I would recommend this location for their wedding reception, not only is the staff great, but the hotel itself has a spectacular view of the ocean. -

This is a beautiful wedding venue, amazing views, amazing food and staff they look into every single detail, so your wedding is perfect. Yamille Castro the Catering Sales Manager was very helpful and accommodating when it came to planning a 40th Birthday Party/Wedding surprise. Yamille recommended we use the View Terrace and that was the perfect location for the event. It was outside and partially covered with the outside bar, that way you can enjoy the Florida weather as well as the spectacular views of the beach and ocean. Yamille went above and beyond to make this a special event and I highly recommend her and the hotel. She is definitely a pro at the whole wedding/parting planning and I don't know what I would have done without her. The hotel and staff were great and all of my guest were very pleased with the location and can't stop talking about the event. We had our wedding on July 1st at Double tree ocean point in Sunny Isles. We are very happy with the professionalism of the whole team that made our special day amazing. We want to appreciate Yamille Castro to make the whole process so smooth and putting attention to details. Hilton Ocean Point was a beautiful location for our daughter's wedding. The food was excellent. The staff anticipated our every need, and any request was quickly obliged. Many of our guests stayed at the hotel for wedding weekend, and the suites were extremely comfortable. We celebrated our wedding at The DoubleTree Ocean Point Resort and Spa in Sunny Isles on 04/01/17. All I can say is that it was the most amazing experience ever. Since day one that we met with Yamille, she made us feel at home and we knew that we wanted to have our wedding at this beautiful ocean front hotel. Yamille was super attentive and helpful. She was always available to answer questions we may have had. We arrived the day before our big day, and right upon arrival to the hotel we were treated like royalty. I did not have a wedding planner, but with all the help that Yamille gave me, I did feel that i needed a wedding planner. The day of the wedding I had nothing to worry about, for I had Yamille and Erika (the Captain) on top of everything. They made sure that everything went smoothly and that nothing was left out or missing in order to make our special day truly amazing. They truly made us feel special and made sure that we enjoyed our special day. Without a doubt, I truly recommend this venue for any bride that is looking for an amazing place to celebrate her special day and not to mention, the view is truly spectacular. We married at the Doubletree Ocean Point on Oct. 15, 2016 and it was amazing. From the first day meeting Yamille, the Event Catering Manager to the day after the ceremony when we checked out, the service was amazing. We had our ceremony and reception at the hotel. We also had a hotel block for our out of town guest. Since the hotel only has one bride there on the weekend, my husband, family, guest and I were treated like royalty from the valet staff to the Executive Chef! Yamille helped me to stay sane and worked closely with us. The weather wasn't cooperating for an outside ceremony but our Plan B option was just as beautiful with an ocean view. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding venue. The ceremony space has a beautiful elevated open view of the beach with its floor to ceiling glass windows. The next door reception space was more than adequate for our 100+ guests, and also felt open and well-lit with the same type of large glass windows, access to a spacious patio with sweeping beach views. The gorgeous outdoor lounge available for the cocktail hour also has the same beach views. I loved the convenience that all three spaces are closely connected around the nice hotel lobby. The in-house wedding coordinator Yamille Castro was a pleasure to work with. She is knowledgeable, friendly, cheerful and was a big part of making everything work smoothly from planning to the final song. The service, quality of the food, and location are top notch and a bargain for the value we received: an unforgettable wedding! -

If you want your wedding to go off without a hitch and to get the best customer service this is the place. Yamille helped us with every single detail of the wedding reception and I couldn't be anymore grateful to her and all the amazing staff that helped us! Our wedding venue cancelled on us 2 weeks before the wedding and after spending a very stressful week trying to find a place we set up an appointment with Yamille and she put all my anxiousness to rest. She was so helpful with all the planning just 2 weeks before the wedding and everything went perfectly to the last detail.. All of my guests told me afterwards how beautiful the wedding was and how much fun they had..

We knew we wanted a beachside wedding, and we met with a lot of different hotels, but the Doubletree was our ultimate choice because of Yamille. Her friendliness, professionalism and flexibility were all part of the reason we signed, but what made me so happy about our choice was that she went the extra mile on everything. She truly wanted us to have a special day, and we did - and it was really all because of her. I cannot stress enough how amazing our event was because of her efforts.
The staff at the hotel was fantastic to our guests (and to us), and what we liked best about this hotel was it was smaller than the others. This is why the staff remembered us throughout the weekend, and all our out of town guests felt like they were at home. It was an experience that so many of them enjoyed.
Our guests mentioned that this event was 'flawless' and 'seamless' - and that is all thanks to Yamille and the rest of the staff at this venue. I highly suggest considering them if you want an unforgettable event! -

To start off, the location is outstanding! Right on the beach in the middle of Sunny Isles! The staff was wonderful, the rooms were outstanding and most of all, our wedding manager Yamille was fabulous!! When we met with Yamille almost a year ago, we knew that this was our wedding location. Yamille was always there to help when we needed it most. From touring the facility, exchanging emails all throughout the day, to the day of the wedding, Yamille made sure that we were happy and everything was all set. On the day of the wedding, she was right there to help us out with anything we needed. The staff at Doubletree made sure that my wife and I and all of our guests were happy.

Yamille Castro was our wedding coordinator. I words can't even explain how awesome she is! We live in Atlanta and were planning our wedding at the DoubleTree in Sunny Isles. Yamille made the whole experience stress free. She sent plenty of pictures to help plan our perfect wedding. The day of the event, Yamille was outstanding! Nearly halfway through my wedding planning, Yamille Castro took over as the DoubleTree Ocean Point events coordinator for my wedding. Needless to say, I was a bit worried, especially because our wedding was a destination wedding. However, Yamille’s professionalism, customer service and caring personality put my worries at ease. Yamille and the staff at DoubleTree treated us so wonderfully, from the time we had the food tasting through the day of our wedding and beyond! We checked into the hotel the night before the wedding, and we were amazed with the out-of-this-world suite we were given. The accommodations enabled my husband and me to relax a bit before the big day. It was also the perfect space for me to get ready the day of the wedding. Unfortunately, it rained the day of our wedding, but the plan B provided by the hotel was truly lovely. It even cleared up enough for us to take pictures on the beach during our cocktail hour. Our guests loved the food and the delicious signature drink service at the wedding. They all had a great time! Those who stayed at the hotel were equally pleased with their accommodations. The hotel’s lobby bar stayed open a bit later for us and a few of our guests for our mini “after party”. The bartender wad very cordial. My husband and I stayed at the DoubleTree Ocean Point for two nights after the wedding for our very short, but sweet, honeymoon. Those two days were truly incredible. Not only did the staff treat us like royalty, the property is beautiful and serene. To top it all off, when we returned home from the honeymoon, realized I lost my shoes and left the cake toppers sometime during the reception. Yes, we had THAT much fun :). To my delight, Yamille found and shipped my items to my home in Virginia soon after me notifying her. She is truly a gem! We are so glad we chose Yamille and the team at the DoubleTree Ocean Point to host our wedding. We will definitely be returning for future anniversaries! -

Yamille Castro is the new events coordinator. She took over for Cindi Stone half-way thru the planning for my wedding. This freaked me out a little bit, but Yamille was able to pick up right where Cindi left off and the end result was a magical night! Yamille was wonderful!! We checked into the hotel the night before the wedding, and Yamille and the hotel staff treated us like royalty! The rooms were comfortable and everyone was so accommodating to us and our guests. The experience started off great, even before the wedding started!!
The day of the wedding flowed smoothly! Everything turned out beautiful! The food was AWESOME! The drinks were flowing! It was just amazing! The hotel staff was on their game and our guest kept praising how smoothly everything went. Yamille is great to work with and the event space is so nice! I am so glad that we chose to have our wedding here! -

I LOVED our wedding venue!! The staff was professional and knowledgeable about every single detail, we didn't have to worry about a thing. They have an inside/outside option (in case it rains, as we know it does a lot in FL, it was important to us that we had an inside option). The place is beyond beautiful with breath-taking views for your special day. There are cute little areas surrounding the hotel and the beach, including a park, that make for great wedding day pictures! -

I worked with Cindi Stone to help reserve a block of rooms for my wedding guests at the DoubleTree Ocean Point Resort & Spa. Cindi was very helpful and always responded to my emails. The hotel itself was BEAUTIFUL and in a perfect location for out-of-town guests because it is so close to lots of great, local restaurants, as well as all the conveniences you might need (grocery stores, spas, pharmacies, gas stations, shops, etc.). We even got upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite for free!! I can't really explain how wonderful of a start to our wedding experience that was, but if you could've seen my face when they told me, you would understand! The hotel was fairly expensive, but with the block discount, it was definitely one of the better deals in the area. The staff at the hotel were beyond helpful and were proactive in getting information about the wedding so they could best serve all of our guests. I hope to stay here again in the future, and I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Sunny Isles. -

Our wedding at the DoubleTree Ocean Point Resort and Spa was INCREDIBLE!! Cindi Stone and her team (Ana, Edison, Shalack etc.) really went ABOVE and BEYOND to make everything so very special. From the time we booked, I knew we chose the right venue. Any questions we had; Cindi was there to answer them. I must have emailed her a 100 times throughout the process and she was so helpful with everything; even things that shouldn’t have been her concern. She is so on her game and so thoughtful and caring to everyone. I don’t think our wedding would have been what it was without her and the team. I honestly wish we were able to hire her for the entire Day- of -Coordinating. She might as well been. Any issue that came up (I won’t get into the dreaded details), she found a way to make them better. Without her, there would have been complete chaos. We fell in love with this hotel for our wedding since our first visit. We were looking for a hotel that only held one event per evening and one that was not overly popular and crowded. Cindi is the catering manager and was very helpful and understanding. Many of our out of town guests and in town family checked into the hotel during the week and they all loved it there. I have one word that describes both the Doubletree Oceanpoint Resort and Spa as well as Cindi Stone- their catering manager "SPECTACULAR!". Cindi was not only instrumental with the planning of my event- she was equally as attentative during the night of our reception. She is a caring and compassionate individual that leaves no detail unattended to. Her team is equally as responsive; they go above and beyond to make your event MAGICAL. I hosted close to 100-guests and everyone left our event feeling OVERJOYED by the great service, delicious food, fabulous drinks and ambiance. Guests that utilized the valet service were evn given cookies by the receptionist staff while they waited for their cars. Thanks again to an amazing group of professionals. Cindi had great ideas she shared with us in addition to the fact that throughout the planning phase she kept in regular contact, responded promptly to all my inquiries and worked efficiently with the other vendors we hired. This is a professional you can count on even for the last minute unexpected problems that are inevitably encountered. I forgot to write the table #s on the place cards. My error was discovered moments before walking down the aisle. By the time the ceremony was over, Cindi had resolved the problem by organizing a group of staff to enter the table #s. The guests were all seated properly. In the week before the wedding all you must do is provide Cindi with the Info she requests and you can be guaranteed a well run wedding. She was there all night until the party was over never leaving the decisions or oversight to chance. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is cheerful and they have the best weather back up location you can find -

Our wedding was amazing!! The catering manager, Cindi was excellent. She was a pleasure to work with, she answered all of my questions and took care of all of my needs. I am going to miss interacting with her on a regular basis.
Food: Delicious from what I was told (I didn't get to eat much), but guests raved about how awesome it was. That doesn't happen often at weddings, wedding food is never that great but at Doubletree it was.
I wish I could do it all over again and I wouldn't want it anywhere else. This is a great venue and Cindi is great to work with. The staff was great as well.

Doubletree Ocean Point Resort in Sunny Isles was THE perfect venue for our wedding. The views from both banquet rooms are beautiful, and the veranda is a picturesque and comfortable location to hold an oceanfront ceremony. Our guests thought it was one of the best weddings they had been to! The Catering Manager, Terry, was a huge bonus! She was absolutely wonderful to work with, and with us not having hired an official "Wedding Planner" she had done wonders to keep the rehearsal & wedding day running smoothly. I would definitely recommend! -

Terry was extremely flexible in working with us and helping us create exactly the ceremony and reception that we wanted. She went out of her way to help us keep everything at a reasonable cost, too, even though our wedding was relatively small. We were also very impressed with other staff at the Ocean Point, who were extremely friendly and more than willing to help when Terry was not available (for example, by organizing an impromptu wine tasting for us when we showed up unannounced on a day that Terry was not working there). We are very happy with our experience. -

The venue is amazing and for the price you definetely get everything you expect! Terry and the staff were outstanding every step of the way. Terry was the only catering manager from all the venues we looked on the beach that took her time to show us the entire property, go over the wedding in details, and took it a step further to even show us the accomodations for myself and my bridal party. The day of the actual wedding she went above and beyond her call of duty and helped setting up and dealing with vendors. All my guests kept telling us how beautiful the place was and how outstanding the food and service was. Both my husband and I couldn't ask for more and definetely recommend the property and staff at the Doubletree to everyone! -

The venue is not just beautiful but Terry and the staff at the double tree are all wonderful! Terry made sure that my wedding day went by as smoothly as possible. Terry Longo is unsurpassed. I had my rehearsal dinner at the hotel and due to traffic arrived at the scheduled rehearsal time. When I arrived at the hotel Terry had done my rehearsal dinner centerpieces and set them out for us. On the wedding day she was checking up on me all day making sure that I was doing ok and that all my vendors were on schedule. Terry and her staff turned around my reception site, the Atlantic room, in less than 30 minutes from a previous wedding. The woman is a miracle worker because my layout was completely different from the previous wedding. I had my ceremony on the beach, the reception on the Veranda and my dinner in the Atlantic. All my family and friends are still talking about what a spectular location my wedding was held at. Terry goes above and beyond her call of duty. Her staff mirrors her dedication and level to service. One of the waiters even took time out to tie my ring bearer's shoe laces. That attention to detail is unparelled. I will never forget my incredible day and how Terry helped make it all possible. -

I was a destination bride and had my rehearsal dinner there on the beach, my wedding ceremony on the veranda and my reception brunch in the Atlantic point room. I am from Buffalo NY and put all my faith and trust into Terry for my wedding. She and the staff at the DoubleTree Ocean Point resort were wonderful to all of my guests not just us (the bride and groom). There were over 40 of us that traveled there to stay at the hotel. Terry and Alex made us all feel welcome and at home at the Oceanpoint. Terry was there every step of the way even through the ceremony and reception brunch. She handled everything professionally and exactly as asked. She even helped with things that to me seemed out of her "job description." The venue was gorgeous and perfect. My day could not of been better and Terry made sure that it was that way. If u are looking for a picture perfect day this venue should be your choice and Terry is your woman. -

Food was amazing and you cannot beat the location on the beach. Terry did an exceptional job making sure we were all taken care of. Everyone was very flexible changing times based on our ceremony at the church taking longer than expected. I recommend getting the suite with the package. My wife and I loved the doubletree and highly recommend it. Also, we used almost all of their preferred vendors and were very happy. We especially recommend gregory paul for photography. -

Terry Longo, the catering manager at the Ocean Point resort made our day the most memorable and most special day of our lives. She was very helpful with planning our destination wedding as we live in New Hampshire. Terry recommended alot of vendors that we used for things such as Floral, DJ services, our wedding cake and most importantly Rev. Michael Calderin who married us. I highly recommened the Ocean Point Resort, it is a beautiful place. The entire staff was great! -

My husband and I could not have been happier with the choice of our venue. DoubleTree Ocean Point was the perfect spot for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We have so many positive things to say about our experience with the Doubletree Oceanpoint Resort & Spa!! We live in California and we decided to have a destination wedding in Miami Beach so all of our friends and family, coming from within the US and Venezuela, could come to celebrate with us in a beach front location. We planned this event from across the country, which we thought would be very challenging, but Terry Longo, the catering manager, really made things easy and convenient for us. Living out of state, we weren't able to visit the facilities to make decisions regarding layout and decorations; but the information and photographs provided on her blog really helped us figure things out.
Terry helped us from the very beggining, always available and helpful. She helped us every step of the way during the planning process. We decided to do all of our wedding events at the Doubletree as they provided very reasonable prices and offered some concessions.
Our wedding weekend was simply amazing! The rehearsal dinner on Friday was at their "Atlantic Room", a gorgeous room facing the turquoise waters of the ocean. Terry payed attention to every last detail and, along with the head waiter Edisson, we received a superb service! Our wedding ceremony and reception took place on Saturday. The ceremony was at their "Veranda", an outdoor deck with a great beachy feel; our guests also enjoyed delicious appetizers and drinks at their "View Terrace" before heading to the "Ocean Point" party hall for a great and classic reception. Terry really made sure I had no stress that day and took care of everything--organizing everything, coordinating with my vendors, making sure everyone was taken care of, bringing us drinks down to the beach while we were getting our pictures taken, overseeing the waiters and service staff, and much more! We had a farewell brunch on Sunday and, again, everything turned out to be so beautiful--they even made sure to save my centerpieces from the night before to decorate the room on Sunday!
A wedding is a very special occassion and Terry at the Doubletree helped make this the most special day of my life :) -

I was the event planner for this particular event. Terry Longo and her staff definitely went above and beyond the call of duty. They were there the whole time to assure everything went off without a hitch.
I would definitely recommend this location for the bride who wants the breath taking view of the ocean but doesn't want the sand between her toes. The veranda was perfect!

All of our photos have a naturally gorgeous background because of this special location. We were thoroughly impressed with the dedication and creativity of the hotel's Catering Manager, Terry Longo. Ms. Longo made you feel like she was part of the wedding party and cared at a level not normally seen from a vendor. There was no level of detail that she would not touch or provide guidance, including suggestions and alternatives to add a level of elegance to the entire event. Most important to point out about having our wedding at the Ocean Point was the level of service and attention given to me and my family by Terry. She constantly went above and beyond without being asked, just went on her gut instinct. The relationship she built with myself and my family has left a lasting impression. This type of service should never go unrecognized!! Because of her caring and professional manner she has not only built a wonderful relationship with myself, but with all others I come in contact with wishing to stay or plan an event in the area. All of our photos have a naturally gorgeous background because of this special location. I stayed in the two-bedroom/two-bath suite, with the bride and part of the bridal party. The space was more than adequate for all of us, including the huge master-bath area and a full-size kitchen, which was handy when we chose to stay in to eat. The balcony views were spectacular from any angle. From the front desk personnel to the room service attendants to the catering manager, Terry Longo, and the reservation manager, Alex, everyone was professional and helpful. Terry was with us every step of the way, assisting in planning and mapping out all of our wedding details. She responded to all of our requests, voice messages, e-mails and questions in a timely manner. We even encountered a situation where Terry brought to our attention some additional available money in our wedding account so we could spend it in another area of catering. This allowed us to expand upon our venue for the reception. She was readily available the entire day of the wedding from the ceremony throughout the reception. And, she made certain our personal decorations and items were carefully boxed and packed away at the end of the reception. As the mother of the bride, I had the least stressful day on the day of the wedding since the entire year of wedding planning. I owe this to the staff and employees at Double Tree, and Terry Longo, catering manager. We are grateful for Terry's expertise in the field of catering and wedding planning. -

It was a destination wedding for us and in addition to talking on the phone, she was able to keep us informed of relevant aspects through the 150+ emails that were flowing back and forth between us in a fairly compressed time frame. The other vendors that she recommended/coordinated for us given our lack of knowledge about local resources were for flowers, cake, chairs, decorations and the minister. Ms. Longo is an asset to the hotel and will make future brides and grooms pleased to have selected this venue for their wedding (which is on the beach). All of our guests (small party of 40) were truly impressed with the way it all turned out and we all had a great time!

Yamille and the Doubletree Ocean Point staff were amazing. The venue was stunning and the views were unmatched. The costs were great for fabulous food and an open premium bar. The wait staff ensured everything was served and cleared in a timely manner without interrupting anything. This Hotel was an amazing place to have my wedding. The veranda for the ceremony was beautiful and the Atlantic point room for the reception has the most amazing views. The catering manager there is wonderful she got everything done that I wanted and I didn't have to think at all that day about if things were getting done. She stayed throughout most of the night. Terry is very organized and I really appreciated that. She really helped to make our day very special. -

We got married back in April and I must say everything turned out perfect. When we originally book this venue there was a different catering sales manager, so when we received an email a month before the wedding stating there was a new person we were a little concerned. Needless to say, Florencia came in and still delivered on everything the old person had promised. -

we had our wedding with cindi stone earlier this month. she is so responsive to questions, emails and phone calls. i couldn't have asked for an easier person to work with!!! the wait staff and bar staff were great during the reception. the food was ok, the fish was cooked wonderfully but the stuffing left something to desire. overall though, a great wedding and all our guests had a wonderful time. they thought the view was amazing!!! -

If you're interested in having a beachside wedding without worrying about permitting, sand, and logistics, the beachview terrace at the Ocean Point resort is a perfect compromise.
I can't say enough about Cindi, or the rest of the hotel staff. The level of service from everybody is unlike anything I've seen. It was a little difficult to get a hold of Cindi at times, but this was months prior to the wedding day. She'll get back to you when she can, and rest assured that in the weeks leading up to your event, you'll receive her undivided attention. I have no idea what I would have done without her help...this being my first (and only!) wedding, her experience and advice definitely helped me from flubbing on key details. She was extremely flexible with all my requests, and was instrumental in helping me create the unique wedding I had in mind.
The food for the wedding was delicious. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and served hot. My chicken breast was something I would have gladly ordered had it been served at a restaurant like the Cheesecake Factory...in short, atypical of what you'd expect from a hotel.
The hotel is beautiful, no small detail is overlooked by any member of the staff, and my out of town guests, the bridal party, my husband, and myself thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree. I would recommend them to anybody in a heartbeat. We can't wait to return for our one-year anniversary. -

I just recently got married at this venue and I have to say my wedding day was absolutely perfect! It was a beautiful day outside and the view on the terrace is simply amazing. It is definitely not as pricey as south beach or other places in miami and the view is exactly the same or even better. The food and service on my wedding day was wonderful as well. Yamille, which is the catering manager was very helpful and responded quickly to all of my emails and questions. I would definitely recommend this venue for your wedding. -

Our Wedding Reception was held at the doubletree. Couldn't ask for better service, location or food. Our Catering Manager Cindi Stone was a pleasure to work with. My only comment would be that the hotel guest rate process was a bit difficult. Also I can't believe they put our honeymoon suite on the same floor as our family!!! awkward! -

I am very pleased with having selected the DoublTree Ocean Point Resort and Spa for the location of our wedding. The service provided by everyone at the hotel was above average, from before we even booked the location to following up on the event and our stay at the hotel. For us, Miami was somewhat of a destination wedding, we live in Boston, most of guests were travelling from out of town, so we wanted a location where our guests could enjoy a mini vacation, as well as our wedding, and the DoubleTree gave us just that. It was difficult to choose a location from Boston, but I chose the DoubleTree based soley on the photos and reviews, and it was truly a fabulous selection. The staff ensured that our stay and our wedding day ran smoothly, and were extremely flexible and understanding of our undecisiveness when it came to some ceremony location choices.
All of our guests and family are still talking about the wedding and their stay while in Miami, it was truly a memorable experience. -

Terry Longo did a fantastic job coordinating our wedding and displayed all the professionalism, responsiveness, and service required for someone in her field. She was also extremely helpful in suggesting vendors who would be a good fit for us. The ratings above reflect our experience at the Doubletree overall -- Terry would get 5 stars across the board.
It's an unforgettable and beautiful location. Our guests are still talking about the views and their wonderful weekend in Miami. -

Terry was extremely helpful with planning our "Destination Wedding." She was patient with my many emails and very helpful in working with us to stick to our budget and make the most of it. She was wonderful on the day of, keeping me well informed and adding her expertise to the decor as my family and friends tried to set up. She is very professional and gives each bride her full attention on their day. She even brought us our drinks and some appetizers as my husband and I were getting pictures taken! I don't think we would have been able to pull off our wedding without all of her help. I couldn't be more thankful for her patience and dedication to our wedding day. I would definitely recommend her and this beautiful hotel to anyone! -

The catering manager was difficult to get a hold of sometimes, but he was very friendly and lowered prices for us. The chef was able to accommodate the various odd diets of our guests, and the food was actually really good. If I didn’t get a persistent sales manager, I most likely would not have selected this location. After all, I am glad I did; because it turns out to be a central location for majority of our guests and everyone loved the ocean view and scenery. The staff was wonderful, and Yamille was timely in her efforts to assist. She even went as far as wearing a “Tiffany Blue” shirt to represent our theme color - I thought that was thoughtful of her. She communicated with all the other vendors involved (i.e., Dj, florist, photographer) to ensure everything was going smooth. We get to go back a year from now to celebrate our one year anniversary, and we cannot wait. I would recommend this venue and use it in the future! -

Disappointment towards the end
It’s a beautiful place to have a wedding but, there hotel needs a lot of upgrades for the amount of money they are charging. My husband and I chose this venue because as you walk in it’s breathtaking. The initial catering manager I was dealing with was good but, then she left without notice. I found this out a week later no one from the venue notified us. Then, the new catering manager seemed responsive but, was disrespectful and unprofessional in the end. She claimed she has been in the business for 20 years can’t tell. It was obvious she never looked over our contract and made assumptions on what the average contract would be. I would not recommend this venue until they find a better catering manager. My wedding planner stayed until the end because she didn’t trust how the staff would follow through with my event. Plus, most of all my guests didn’t even get any of our wedding cake.DoubleTree Ocean Point Resort & Spa's reply:

I loved the view. However, We were told we had the bar until 10pm and they called last call at 9:15. My contract said I had the room until 10pm, however, the original booking agent told us it was fine if we stayed until 11pm. When we did end up leaving (at 10 because all the light were turned on and my DJ was instructed to stop) they started breaking down tables. While my husband was gathering our gifts, a table which was left unattended fell on his ankle, and he was wheeled up to our room after being given a splint from someone in the family, because no one at the hotel had any supplies. The "loss prevention guy" did speak english and it was incredibly difficult to understand him. All he did was ask our name and address. The breakfast that I was suppose to have set up, never was. When they finally set up the tables everyone was finished, and I had to complain 3 times. When I saw the coordinator later that morning, I let her know about the breakfast and my husband's leg, and all she said, was that she was sorry. I feel i should have been offered some compensation for the fact that I was not given the brunch that I, and my guest were expecting. I paid the $19 that the rest of the hotel paid, but I also paid the 21% service fee for the tables in addition to the $12,000 for food and beverage as well as the 20 something rooms that were purchased by my guest for the weekend, and I would think that I would have been treated with a little priority, but I never was. Even when I tried to check in. When I check in, they put holds on all of my credit cards, and I still don't know what ended being charged by the end. Then a dress was left in one of our guest rooms. I called 2 hours after she checked out, and no one ever got back to us. Our grandmother lost her wedding ring in another room, and I called again within a few hours of checking out, and again no one ever got back to us, not even to say they check the room or anything. If the rooms were cleaned they should have found the items, but I don't know if they ever even checked because they never gave the courtesy to call us back. -

My husband and I booked the Wee Wedding Package here for our destination wedding in February. Quite frankly, I wish I had spent a little more money and gone somewhere else. It was a fight with the hotel staff through the entire wedding planning to get someone to talk to me or listen to me or answer my questions. The hotel initially did not do what they said they were going to do in the contract they gave us, and we had to call several different people at the hotel to make sure the contract did not lapse. It is not a good sign when you have to tell someone how to do their job because they aren't doing it. The staff was also extremely difficult to get in contact with throughout the wedding planning process. Additionally, when I showed up to the hotel the day before my wedding, there was no one there from the event planning to even meet me. I expected to at least meet someone who would be helping me the next day, but apparently that was an unrealistic expectation. As a result, I didn't even know where my wedding would be located, I didn't know where I was supposed to go, and I didn't know if the event was even going to happen. Three hours before my wedding start time, I still didn't know. I spend the entire morning on my wedding day CRYING because the hotel staff was soooo unresponsive. I could not get in contact with anyone!! I called the hotel manager, and someone finally contacted me. Everything did get set up at the last minute, and it looked really nice. The food was also good. However, when we got home from our honeymoon, we also noticed that the HOTEL CHARGED US ALMOST TWICE THE AMOUNT OF OUR CONTRACT PRICE for the wedding package!!! And, of course, it was another battle to get our money back as once again no one was responsive. We finally got the money back, but it was a horrible process. What a rotten way to spend my wedding. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Beautiful Venue, But Last-Minute Lobby Closure Nearly Ruined Our Day
Adriana was very helpful in planning our destination wedding, as we coordinated everything virtually from Boston. The food and drinks were very good, and the indoor space and terrace are beautiful.
However, our main concern was a major last-minute change that significantly impacted our experience. Less than two months before the wedding, we received an email with alternate entry instructions, but there was no follow-up, and the severity of the situation was not clear until we arrived in Miami four days before the wedding and discovered the entire hotel lobby was closed and under construction for a year.
When I asked - just days before the wedding - why this was not clearly communicated or why alternatives were not offered, I was told the hotel and venue are separate.
In reality, we and our guests had to enter through an old, unpleasant, smelly shopping center, use an outdated escalator instead of an elevator, and my bridal party and I had to walk around the building for nearly 30 minutes on the wedding day due to the lobby elevator closure to reach the waterfront for photos. This affected hair, makeup, our photography timeline, and overall mood. There was also minimal onsite guidance for us or our guests, which caused confusion, stress, and lost time.
After the wedding, we contacted hotel management and were offered two free nights as compensation, which did not feel proportional to the impact this had on our wedding day.
The venue itself is lovely, but I would strongly advise couples to be very cautious and prepared for last-minute changes that can significantly affect how your day feels, with no option to cancel or reschedule if this occurs. -
