    Donna set my mind at ease from the first phone conversation. She is knowledgeable, assertive and knew exactly what I needed from the beginning. I hired her as a full service planner at a full service resort, thinking I'd use her mostly for design and getting good deals on rentals and decor items. Turns out she knew my venue better than my venue managers and was able to guide me through processes and answering questions that the resort was struggling to help me with. The design was gorgeous, the wedding was flawless and I got so much more working with her team than I ever thought I would need. Hands down best money I spent!

    This review is long overdue. My husband and I got married in Santa Barbara last year at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum. We loved the venue and we were able to customize the event however we pleased (aka we had to bring everything in). In no way could we have made this happen without Donna. Even my father who tends to be highly critical of most services was blown away. Donna perfectly captured our vision and made the wedding run incredibly seamlessly. Since we had to bring in all vendors, we relied solely on Donna's recommendations. Every vendor was wonderful to work with and we didn't run into any issues. Donna even added beautiful personal touches - she hand painted tiles to use as a reference for the seating chart.

    If we hadn't had Donna, my wedding would have been a stressful event vs a beautiful memory with absolutely no worries.

    Lastly, people tell me to this day how my wedding was probably one of the best they ever want to - my stepbrother even told my mom he enjoyed it more than his own wedding :).

    Take-away, if you are looking for a wedding planner, look no further. You couldn't be in better hands than with Donna!

    Donna coordinated our wedding in May 2015. She was absolutely INCREDIBLE. I truly cannot say enough things about her and cannot recommend her more highly. She was on top of everything, anticipated issues, and gave way more help than it felt like we paid for. She was always there for us, and on our wedding day, I was completely relaxed knowing she would be sure everything was perfect-- and it was. I interviewed a lot of planners and asked around before meeting with Donna. After our first meeting, my husband and I knew she was absolutely perfect, and we never once felt differently. We did a lot of unique things, and Donna was always on board, happy to help trouble shoot our creative ideas, and always supportive. She worked hard to understand our vision and support everything we came up with. Not only did she support us, but she was always excited by our plans and enthusiastic about the way things would come out. When we needed to think about some aspect we'd miss, she'd bring it up in a way that helped us to see all the ins and outs of wedding planning. She is so organized and on top of everything, it made things easy.

    I think it's worth noting that our wedding was incredibly complicated. We were at a venue that had absolutely nothing (no electricity, really, nothing) so there were a lot of details for us to figure out. Donna made sure we didn't miss a thing and were on top of each vendor and what we needed from each. She helped to make sure we were spending our money in the right places, and also directed us to the absolute best vendors.

    Wedding planning with Donna was a true joy! Stop looking and hire Donna, seriously, she's just amazing.

    I started planning my wedding with a pretty clear vision of what I wanted but no idea how to bring it all together. After one meeting with Donna, I knew she would be able to bring it all together. Her advice was concrete and thoughtful, her attitude totally professional, her ideas exciting. She was really organized and guided me through every step of the planning process, including dealing with some tricky family issues that had me stressing out. She was always quick to get back to me with helpful answers or ideas and recommended vendors that were spot on for my needs. Every time I mentioned to someone that I was working with Donna they all raved about her and my confidence really grew.

    Our venue was a complicated property and everything had to be brought in. It made me a bit nervous dealing with so many different vendors and shuttle schedules, etc. But we met Donna at the location and she walked us through the whole day. She had this enormous worksheet of details we went through and brought up issues and questions my fiance and I had not even known we needed to consider. It was such a relief to see her cover the bases. By the time the wedding day came around, I felt completely comfortable that everything was taken care of and she and her team could handle anything.

    On the day of Donna was there all day - and I mean all day. Things went so smoothly and if there were any problems at all, I never knew. She was super calm and always right there when we needed anything. My family and wedding party were so impressed. Even my fiance was saying how we couldn't have pulled it off without her. I cannot say enough great things about Donna and her team. Best decision of the wedding (except my fiance, of course)!

    We could not be more pleased with the service provided by the Donna Romani Events team! I was unsure about whether or not to hire a wedding coordinator at the beginning of the planning process, but we were SO happy that we did! And even more grateful that we found Donna and her team. In short, they are excellent in every way. Donna helped answer questions and alleviate our concerns as soon as we hired her. During the month before the wedding, she and her team were with us every step of the way. They were always professional, expertly knowledgeable, and able to handle just about anything that came their way. I am 100% certain that I enjoyed my wedding in large part because I left the coordination - especially the day of - in the expert hands of her team. They are patient, unbelievably organized, and all-around wonderful. We give Donna Romani Events our highest recommendation.

    I couldn't have been more pleased to have Donna as my wedding planner. The event was truly magical! Since we held it on a private estate (which means lots of different vendors), it simply wouldn't have come together without her organization and guidance.

    As soon as we met with Donna, I knew she had the positive and calming energy that I wanted next to me on our wedding day. She strikes the right balance of seeming easy going and relaxed, while simultaneously staying on top of the schedule and details. Donna is clear about what to expect from her (and as it gets closer, she sends weekly emails with reminders of what we should be doing) and yet, she makes herself accessible when questions come up. And for us, questions definitely came up! She was patient as my mom and I tried to make decisions during the planning process and would make suggestions at the right moments to help us along. She worked really well with the other vendors and keep us all coordinated during the walk through even though it was her first time doing a wedding at that venue.

    The wedding itself was smooth sailing. I was truly floating the entire time and it felt great to be able to just enjoy and be present with my friends and family knowing that Donna was on it behind the scenes. I only plan to do this once, so while I won't work with her again, I would definitely recommend Donna if you are looking for a wedding planner!

    I hate to rate a vendor with all 5s but Donna was just perfect in all of the categories! She was recommended to me by my caterer who knew I was looking for a day-of planner. After talking to Donna, I decided to hire her for month-of planning and I'm so happy I did. From the day I hired her, about 7 or 8 months before my wedding, she helped me by email with all of my questions. Once we got close, she became very involved, sending me checklists and information that I often didn't yet know I needed!

    A couple weeks out, when I was just starting to get stressed, Donna completely took over the vendor communications, making sure everyone was on the same page to prevent any problems day-of.

    She made sure my rehearsal and wedding went off perfectly, managing all of the big things and the little tasks...she even sprayed sunscreen on me. :) All the while, she was perfectly calm and composed. I don't think there were any problems but, more importantly, if there were any, she made sure I didn't have to deal with them or even know they were happening.

    I can't say enough about Donna. She has the ability to become whatever you need her to be and I'm so happy that I found her.

    We loved working with Donna, and would highly recommend her. We chose the package where we had her for 8 weeks prior to the ceremony, but she was very accessible throughout the entire engagement, even before the 8 weeks. Ours was a destination wedding, so we were at the mercy of the local vendors and thankfully we chose a good team! They all worked beautifully together and made us glad we chose not to bring anyone in. Our only hiccups came at the church before the ceremony, and it was most likely a miscommunication of who was in charge at the church - the church wedding coordinator, or Donna. (things like passing out the programs and the guest book) That would be my only advice to anyone in that situation is to be clear on that! All in all, it was just about perfect!

    Donna really was a dream to work with. She paid attention to details, worked closely with our vendors, and responded to us in a timely fashion. She brought our vision for the design of our wedding to life and maintained a calm, pleasant demeanor throughout our big day. She worked independently with our vendors to confirm everything and made it easy for us to just show up on the wedding day. She managed the timeline well, was willing to meet with us onsite at the venue when we needed her to, and helped us deal with challenges that came up along the way with our venue. She was incredibly responsive and never made us feel silly for reaching out with questions. Thank you so much for the gorgeous, smooth, and amazing wedding day, Donna!

    When your guests start a hashtag for your day-of-coordinator,you know you’ve made a huge mistake.The biggest upset: 4 DAYS before the wedding, she gave us the final rental order- much too late to change much but then again she does get a kickback from them so be warned. She told us initially that she put “everything on the order as it could be taken off later after the walk through.” When we received it (the last thing we want to do RIGHT before our wedding), a lot was still on there & over our budget. She was defensive & didn’t want to remove a thing. We called vendors ourselves to check on her demands.The caterers had the coffee canisters- so no need to rent those-the winery had water glasses after she said they had none, astro-turf was not required by the venue after all etc. All things put on to make the bill bigger. She 1)couldn’t think on her feet or communicate well. The wedding started 45 minutes late. After,we rushed through photos not knowing the cocktail hour was delayed too, followed by an awkward hour between serving salad & entrees- nothing happened- no toasts, schedule updates, cake cutting etc. Several ppl left before their(cold) dinner was over 2)didn’t work well w/vendors- many told us she was difficult 3)Hindu ceremony: she started the groom down the aisle w/no music knowing the DJ wasn’t ready, didn’t save seats for family & then made everybody move 5)canceled a vendor we had booked without telling us initially 6)Reception: didn’t tell family to wait for photos, didn’t serve the caketop like she was told to, lighting was off, tp was out in bathrooms, didn’t put out the customized napkins until we asked (we have so many left) & finally, surprised the FOB about when his speech was & just pushed the mic in his face. Maybe it was because she had never done a wedding this big or this complicated or maybe we didn’t have as much money to throw at things as she is used to but the moral here is that the best thing that we can say was that she was nice.

    I attended a wedding for my friends who hired Donna Romani as their onsite event coordinator, and I would not recommend her to any bride or groom. As someone who has also recently gone through the wedding planning process, I noticed quite a few things that seemed unorganized, sloppy, and overall a logistical nightmare. (The bride herself is extremely organized and a close friend, and upon discussing this with her post-wedding, I know that this can be attributed to Donna, and not to the bride and groom’s planning!)

    I observed a number of GUESTS whispering among themselves that things seemed unorganized or chaotic, such as the flow of a buffet line, an unmanned bar (which meant guests were helping themselves to alcohol), couples who weren’t seated together at their dinner tables, and almost every event starting at least 20 minutes late. I witnessed several people, including myself, ask Donna a question – and almost every time, she either didn’t know the answer or she needed to double check with someone else (and sometimes she wouldn’t come back with an answer at all!). Most of these were simple questions, and definitely something a coordinator should’ve been able to answer.

    Some of these incidents were brought to the attention of the bride and groom, which of course upset them and worried them, on what should be a joyous, carefree day. They hired a coordinator specifically to take care of things that they didn’t want to have to worry about, not to mention have their guests worrying about. The sign of a good coordinator is someone who makes him/herself invisible to guests, and is a reassuring behind-the-scenes presence for the bride and groom. As someone who witnessed Donna’s inconsistency, uncertainty and lack of professionalism, I’d caution anyone against hiring her for their wedding or event.
