Highly recommend Amanda for wedding makeup!

We had Amanda provide makeup services for my bridal party during our wedding on 10/14/2023. Amanda did a phenomenal job and EVERYONE was happy with their makeup (rare for us!) ! Not only was Amanda skillful, but she was also very positive and supportive throughout my makeup trial and the morning of my wedding - her attitude really helped calm a ton of the stress of wedding planning! One of my bridal party members also has a severe allergy to a product commonly used in makeup, and Amanda was very kind and helpful in helping us navigate which products to bring/avoid for her to use. Overall, I highly recommend Amanda's services!

Emily Rexford is a hair genius! Christina Calloway makeup skills are truly incredible

Emily was so quick and talented with our hair! She made my hair look straight out of a fairytale. She was very caring and careful too!

Christina is an amazing makeup artist! She was very thorough and made sure we were comfortable. She has a true eye for makeup!

Stunning!!

Kristen did my makeup for my wedding in 2022 and she is amazing! Her work is wonderful and I love how open she is to communication. She wants you to feel beautiful and makes sure you know that every step of the way. I looked gorgeous and felt so beautiful, she really knows how to keep makeup stay for the entire day. Kristen was a dream to work with and would recommend her to any bride wanting an amazing artist!

Love Kristen at Doll Box!

Wow wow wow I LOVE Kristen at Doll Box Productions. Not only is she extremely talented, but she is so nice and made the entire experience of getting ready for my wedding such a blast! Furthermore, she really went to bat for me when another vendor did not have record of me booking them. Kristen did a fantastic job and my bridesmaids couldn’t stop raving about her!

Kristen is the best ever!!

I am a wedding planner and when it came time to plan my own wedding, hiring her was a no brainer! Not only is she very talented, she also has a wonderful personality and is super professional. She did makeup for myself, my bridesmaids and my mom, we all looked fabulous and it stayed on for over 11 hours through a rainy and humid day and extremely sweaty karaoke reception. Honestly I’m not sure how … probably because she is magical!!! You will not regret hiring her for your big day!

Wonderful People and Beautiful Results!

Working with Amanda and Heather was so lovely! I came in for the trial knowing I wanted natural make-up and a braided style, but I really hadn't nailed anything down. Both Amanda and Heather were so sweet, warm, and professional to work with; they helped tremendously in helping me pick a style that fit my features, preferences, and our wedding theme. Even after the trial they continued to work with me right up until the day-of to accommodate any new styles or changes so that everything was perfect. I felt gorgeous both because of their great energy and the fantastic work they did! Amanda and Heather immediately made me and my bridesmaids feel comfortable and their make-up/hair came across beautifully in person, in the wedding photos, and in the wedding video. These two are absolutely wonderful!

I chose Doll Box for all of my bridesmaids makeup, having already worked with Amanda before, I knew she would be the perfect fit for my special day. She is professional, knowledgeable, prompt and her skill set is top notch. All of my girls looked absolutely flawless and each one had makeup that was tailored to their exact needs, no cookie cutter looks here. I would 100% recommend her and her team for any hair/makeup needs.

I used Doll Box Productions for my wedding this September and I can honestly say that my experience was one of the best I’ve ever had. Booking them and working with them for my ideas was effortless. And I cannot count the compliments I got; the hair and makeup they did for myself and my bridal party was honestly the best I have ever seen. They just got me! I have never felt prettier and isn’t that every bride’s dream?

Amanda is wonderful! She did the makeup for myself and some of the girls in my wedding party and we were all extremely happy with the results. I came for a trial about 1 month before the wedding and Amanda made sure to take the time to discuss the look I envisioned. The day of the wedding she took the time to make sure everyone was at ease. Specifically, my mom was stressed about the wedding and had never had her makeup done professionally before. Amanda made a point to make her experience especially relaxing and enjoyable. Everyone looked wonderful and their makeup lasted throughout the day/night. I would highly recommend Amanda for any bride in search of a makeup artist.

These ladies were so much fun! My mom, sisters, mother-in-law, and I all looked gorgeous thanks to Heather and Amanda. I wasn't able to do a trial, but they asked for inspiration photos and totally NAILED it the day of!! We all loved hanging out with these two for a few hours, and we all were floored by how great everything came out. 100% recommend to anyone on the fence - you will be thrilled!

Amanda and her team are excellent. We had hair and makeup done for a bridal party. Everything turned out even better than we hoped. The day ran seamlessly and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend them. Amanda is extremely professional and responds very quickly to any questions. I had my hair done by Andrea Boyer and makeup done by Ali Lawless for my wedding in October of 2016 at the Inn on Biltmore Estate. Both Ali and Andrea were wonderful and so talented! They really listened to my requests and were great at figuring out what I would like as well when I wasn’t sure. Dollbox Productions did a great job, and I would definitely recommend them!

Even though I didn't have a million dollar wedding, I still wanted to look like a million dollars. I'm so thankful that I found Doll Box Productions. Amanda and Heather were AMAZING. They came to my location, and got to work primping my daughter and I. They were classy and fun, and I will forever think of them as my Glam Squad!! I highly recommend these amazing woman!!

Heather was amazing! She made my hair and makeup look so much better than I could have ever dreamed. She also did my 4 year olds hair super quick and it looked gorgeous. Wish we lived in Asheville so I could have her do my hair more often. Loved her!! I would reccomend her to anyone who wants to look more beautiful than they already are! She was awesome!! Worth every penny.

Amanda and Andrea did an outstanding job on my hair/makeup. Having never met with them until my wedding day I was hesitant on how things would go. But, I was amazed at how well everything turned out. It was above and beyond what I could have ever imagined. They were both so genuine and down to earth and that just made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. Heather was absolutely amazing!!! I live out of state but was having my wedding in Asheville and had no idea who to go to. I ended up finding Doll Box Productions online and reached out - thank goodness I found them!. Amanda helped with scheduling and planning my trial and day of appointments - it was so easy (out of all the wedding planning it was by far the easiest!). Heather came to do a trial for my mom and I and gave me the perfect idea about what my makeup was going to look like on the big day. It was awesome to "test it out" and live with it on for the rest of the afternoon/night. It looked beautiful but was so oddly light and felt like I had nothing on! I couldn't believe it. On the day of, Heather came to my hotel room and brought so much fun and lightness with her. We all had a blast together - spending the afternoon chatting and snacking. I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair and pretty much left it up to her - Heather made me feel so gorgeous yet comfortable. She made what I couldn't even put in words, a reality. I truly never felt more beautiful and my mom felt the same way. The makeup was again amazing and after everything during the day the makeup was as perfect as it was 10 hours before. It was unbelievable! I really had no idea where to turn and so glad I put my trust with Heather and Amanda - so I hope this helps someone else who is in a similar position.

I highly recommend Doll Box Productions for wedding hair and makeup. My maid-of-honor and I both received hair and makeup services by Doll Box Productions and were highly impressed. Our hair and makeup lasted well in to the night after the reception was over and the girls arrived ON-SITE at my wedding location on a Sunday to provide services. The girls are also very professional and as sweet as can be. They also offer hair and makeup trials. The price I listed was for both of us (hair and makeup) and included the tip.

Doll of Productions provided hair and make up for my wedding in Mars Hill, NC this past weekend and they were awesome! The hairstyles all looked beautiful. They were able to provide different, unique styles to fit each personality. My hair and makeup held up all night in the heat and humidity of an outside wedding and looked great in pictures. I would HIGHLY recommend Heather and Amanda with Dollbox for your next event. I am so happy they were a part of our special day.

Amanda & Heather (& two other beauticians on their team) were amazing! We hired them for our wedding in April and they were so much fun to work with. They made me, my mom, mother-in-law, stepmom & bridesmaids all look beautiful! They kept things natural but truly enhanced everyone's beauty. They did both hair and makeup and everyone looked amazing-- not overdone or unrecognizable-- just better versions of ourselves! My bridesmaids all kept saying how much they loved them and asked where we found them :). I highly recommend doing a trial before your event-- it was so nice to get to know them before the big day and they were both so great with trying out different things until I was 100% satisfied. Awesome services-- and they can come on site to where ever you are, which was sooooo wonderful! HIGHLY recommend these ladies.

I am very pleased with the service I received from Heather and Amanda for makeup and hair services on my wedding day. Both ladies are very professional, flexible and easy to get along with. I changed my mind from what Heather and I agreed upon during my first hair trial, and she graciously accommodated my request for a second hair trial - after which she nailed the style and was able to create exactly what I wanted. I also appreciated that they offered on-site services.

Doll Box Production was the best choice for my hair and makeup. The ladies were amazing at what they do with makeup and hair. They are very attentive to what you want your hair to look like and the make up is spotless ( I am still obsessed with my eyelashes that i decided to get to enhance my picture). I highly recommend working with these ladies as they are very trendy and sweet.

I cannot say enough about Doll Box...or as I would prefer to say--Heather and Amanda. I was hesitant to spend the money on makeup/hair for my daughter's bridesmaids--the wedding was way over budget. But I can truly say that I did not regret it!! The girls were all so thrilled with their professional makeup/hair: In the photographs of the wedding, they looked incredible!!! They all said that they had learned new techniques that they use now for special occasions. Also, Heather and Amanda were/are professional and it showed!! They were fun, but they went straight to the task at hand, and we were ahead of schedule. Of all the vendors that I used in Asheville, they were one of the TWO, yes two, that I would recommend!

Amanda at Doll Box was awesome! My makeup looked fabulous and stayed on for ages. At times communication was a bit slow... my end included, but I felt at ease going into the big day and I was totally pleased with the application experience and the outcome! Definitely use them!

I could not have found a better team then Amanda and Heather for my wedding hair and make-up. I do not wear a lot of make-up in my day to day life and was incredibly anxious about 'not looking like myself' on my wedding day. Amanda calmed my nerves and gave me the perfect natural look for all of my wedding photos and my wedding day. I had my make-up put on at 10am and after a full day of dancing and crying still looked perfect at 1am- there are photos to prove it!

My hair also stayed in tact for the entire affair. I came to Heather with extremely long hair that had not been cut or styled in months. She cut, colored and styled my hair in one sweep. I had the perfect little bob for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner and had so many compliments on my new style. She also did a great test run for my wedding day hair and listened to all of my concerns and requests. She was able to give me a braided updo that looked both formal and very natural. I was worried about stiff prom-y hair and I should not have had a care in the world- my look was anything but!

Not only did these two ladies work miracles on me but the entire team of Dollbox Productions came out to my wedding site and worked on all TEN of my bridesmaids. They spent the morning with us chatting and fixing our hair and make-up and it made my wedding day so special We felt so comfortable and beautiful in their hands and could not have been happier with the end results. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a day of glamor and beauty!

Amanda is so excellent to work with, she knew exactly how I wanted to look and feel as I walked down the aisle. I know it sounds cliche, but I have never looked that beautiful in my life as I did on my special day, and it's all thanks to Amanda. Amanda and Heather were absolutely fabulous! I would recommend them to everyone I know. Amanda is a truly amazing make-up artist. She did my make-up for my engagement photo shoot and my wedding day, as well as my mother's make-up on the wedding day. Amanda is so professional and it is evident in the end product. I received tons of compliments on my make-up. Amanda knows how to use make-up to compliment you without it looking too overdone. The look she gave me on both days was so beautiful and natural. All of my pictures turned out gorgeous! Amanda knows how the make-up she does will look on camera which really sets her apart. I will most definitely use Amanda again to do my make-up for any special event. I highly recommend her! In addition to her mad make-up skills, Amanda is super sweet and personable. She is a rock star at what she does!

Amanda was our makeup artist the day of my wedding this past October. Before the big day, she worked with me and my Mother both during our trials to ensure we had our looks perfected. You will not be disappointed in Doll Box Productions for any event, I assure you. I felt and looked absolutely fabulous. My makeup was simply beautiful and I loved Amanda to death. The money you spend is well worth it. I have passed her name and email along to several upcoming brides already and will continue to do so. Amanda was great! I had a traditional Hindu wedding lasting 2 days so I needed my make-up done 3 times over the weekend. Amanda was especially great during the trial process, she didn't charge for this and we had 2 sessions in order to find all the right looks! The day of she was on-time, great to work with, and did a great job!

Amanda is hands down the best make up artist in Asheville. She is so thorough and understood exactly what I wanted. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day. I have had Amanda do my make up for other events since the wedding because I am such a fan.

Amanda was extremely professional and a delight to work with. Not only did she make us beautiful for the day, she was efficient in responding to my requests and gave very helpful guidance in finalizing stylists and structuring the wedding morning.

Amanda provided the makeup for my wedding and she was wonderful! The makeup was beautiful and lasted all day even outside! Amanda was on time, responsive, and creative. I would recommend her to anyone for their makeup needs.

I have been married before and my hair and make were atrocious! Heather and Amanda were wonderful, making me feel at ease and look stunning! I got compliments while after my trial while I was out at the Biltmore, and I looked even more beautiful during the real deal. They were quick and efficient. Thanks for making my dreams come true.

Doll box was very talented and executed my bridal party's hair and make up beautifully. They took their time listening to what each of my girls wanted and made sure they were happy before moving onto the next. As far as my bridal makeup and hair I could not of been happier! I did not do a trial and they still nailed it! They arrived on time and prepared and we finished up on schedule. I would recommend Doll Box to anyone getting married in the Asheville area!

Amanda and Heather were great to work with. They are both very talented and every single girl was happy with their hair and makeup. They're also super nice and fun to have around when you're getting ready for your event. It's very convenient that they will travel to you so depending on your day-of plans, that can really simplify things and make your day go more smoothly. I would highly recommend Doll Box Productions!

Heather and Amanda made my three bridemadis and me look drop dead gorgeous. Wow. They made us all feel beautiful on a very special day. Heather did a fabulous job with all the ladies' hair. And I still can't get over one of my bridesmaid's eye makeup (she took lessons from Amanda!), my sister's awesome updo, and how they both enhanced all of our natural beauty. We were joking that we wished we could do hair and makeup with Heather and Amanda every day! They also helped keep the nervousness at bay with their easygoing conversation and fun personalities. We had such a great time getting ready with them! Strongly recommend them.

Amanda and Heather are THE dynamic duo in the greater Asheville area. I researched several different hair and make stylists for our wedding day. Doll Box Productions portfolio on their web site and Facebook page really impressed me and thankfully these ladies were available. From start to finish (booking, check ins to wedding day), Amanda was very responsive and timely.

I was very pleased with the results of the trial and even happier on the big day! The ladies really listened to what I wanted and also provided their professional suggestions without being overpowering. I wanted a natural look - both with hair and make up. They delivered in spades! My face looked glowy and fresh without feeling like I had pounds of make up on. My hair relaxed well without curls falling out throughout the entire evening.

My biggest rave about these two mamacitas is their fun, light yet professional personalities. They did hair/make up for my bridesmaid and myself on location in our hotel room at Biltmore Inn. It was just fun to have them there... they really fit in with our dynamic during "girl time". I can imagine how ackward it could be to have service providers hanging out with a group of girls for hours. Not with these two! We thorougly enjoyed their company and work.

I'm racking my brain for critical feedback and it's difficult to find. The only very small area for improvement is to ensure multiple forms of payment are always readily available and happily accepted. Amanda set the expectation up front that cash was preferred on wedding day and for the trial. Some of us came prepared and others didn't even though it was communicated to bring cash. The Square readers were down so we had to scramble to get cash from a nearby ATM to cover everyone. Not a huge deal at all and I can also see why cash is the best option but it's just not always realistic these days.

All in all, working with Dollbox was an incredible experience and I would recommend them to anyone.

At the end of the day, I’m glad we went with Dollbox for our hair and makeup - the girls all looked awesome!!! We ended up going with them after two of my friends who had gotten married in Asheville recommended them. Reviews online seemed strong too.

PROS:
- Amanda is an incredible make up artist! Every girl who had her makeup done was incredibly happy with the results - my Indian friends and pale white friends were equally happy! :) And she didn’t show stress despite our timeline feeling rushed at the end; she still made sure all of my bridesmaids had
- Amanda really took my feedback and responded to it from the trial. She had me meet her at her MAC makeup counter at the mall, and though she did have to stop and interact with customers throughout the trial, she asked me to send her copious notes/reactions/reflections afterwards, all of which she enthusiastically responded to. My makeup day of was perfect (though my eye lashes fell off after crying through the ceremony). She also let me have the lipstick!
- Heather did hair very well - she was able to, again, work with lots of different textures and colors and everyone was happy with their updo’s. As the bride,
- The team happily came to our venue for free to do hair and makeup, as long as we had at least 5 (I think) girls do hair/makeup at ~$80/each. This was fun and easy, and it was very nice they didn’t charge extra for the travel!

THINGS TO BE AWARE OF:
- Heather brought an assistant to do hair (we have 10 girls getting hair done), and she seemed VERY novice. Each girl that had her said it felt like it was her first time doing an undo. From 9am - 1p, Heather did 6 girls hair and the assistant barely got through 4. She was very sweet and clearly was really trying, but I was bummed to see the girls who went to her disappointed.
- Communication can feel a bit abrupt. You’ll only communicate with Amanda and via email, and much of it were one-liners. She was SUPER responsive, but just short emails!

Amanda and Heather did the hair and make-up for myself and 6 bridesmaids for my May wedding.

Pros:
-Amanda is amazing! We all loved our make-up! I am not a big fan of make-up and she worked with me for two hours during my trial to make sure I felt natural and comfortable.
-They are easy to talk to and fit right in.
- They come to you which was perfect!

Cons:
- I wasn't the biggest fan on Heather. Two of my bridesmaids took their hair out before the wedding. For my trial, I didn't love my hair so we did something different on the wedding day and I still didn't love it. Everything felt sort of messy.
-Communication can be rough. Sometimes it takes a while to respond via e-mail but they were timely on the big day and that is all that matters!

Product was great, planning wasn't the best. They were poor on communication and slow to respond to e-mails. It was the day before my wedding and I still did not know what time my bridesmaids or myself were going to get our hair and make-up done. It all went through though. I will say, the day the girls came they were on-time and stayed to schedule very well. Amanda's make-up is beautiful and natural!
