The Absolute BEST

DJ DC Productions totally exceeded our expectations for our 9/23/23 wedding! Derrick and Abay are both so talented and made it incredibly easy to work with them. Not only were they in communication from the time we booked up until wedding day, but they accommodated last minute changes, custom-edited our specific song choices (i.e. ceremony, grand entrance), and recommended some really cool, personal touches- like adding the Game of Thrones theme song to our grand entrance. They were pros at “reading the room” to ensure music choices were appropriate for everyone of all ages. However, they kicked into absolute party mode into the evening. We received SO many compliments throughout the night on their performance. Their mixes were amazing. I’m so ready to plan another event just so I can have them DJ. Thank you

12/10 would get married again just to re-book our DJ

I don't even have words to describe how perfect my wedding day was. DJDC Productions was on my venue's recommended vendor list (Weller's Carriage House in Saline, MI), and I am so extremely happy that I chose them.

I initially spoke on the phone with DC (Derrick) to go over what I was looking for in a DJ and what kind of vibe I had in mind. He suggested two DJ's for me to choose from, and sent me links with interviews and short demos of them working. From this we chose Abay (DJ Adrenalin). He made my wedding day literal perfection! Our initial meeting was so smooth sailing, I had high hopes from the get go. He was personable, knew everything about our venue, and played the best music I've heard at a wedding. He was an amazing emcee, knew when and how to improvise, kept cool with every last minute adjustment I gave him, and helped us feel comfortable and stress free during our big day.

Some takeaways:
-TRANSITIONS! This is something I highly value and was looking for when inquiring, and DJ Adrenalin made the ceremony & reception music flow super well. Outside of that, his emceeing skills are top notch and made the whole day feel so smooth. I received a couple comments from guests after the fact about how easy and seamless the day felt :)

- He walked us through our grand entrance. I panicked and forgot the bridal party order and he saved the day lol

-Catered the playlist to every guest we had. There was always a group on the dance floor and I've received countless compliments about the music. Our family did the alligator dance and as crazy as it was, he was all for it.

-Suggested that the groom and I do a last dance prior to our exit. This was the most emotional part of the day and honestly I couldn't thank him enough for suggesting it. From this dance to going through our exit tunnel was the perfect note to end our special day on.

I asked my husband if we can organize a vow renewal just so we can have Abay be our DJ again. He said he'll let me know in 5-10 years :)

Excellent Organization and Dance Floor

Derrick and Mechial did a fantastic job with every aspect of our wedding. They kept everything organized and timely from the ceremony through the dinner, and then most importantly had the dance floor full all night. We could not have been more pleased with our experience and have rarely seen anything like it before. I would recommend them to anyone

1000% recommend DJ DC Productions for any of your wedding or party needs! Derrick was so wonderful and helped me plan and navigate my event and his awesome crew MC Bryce and DJ Danny did a fantastic job at making my wedding reception run smoothly and had such great music my guests of all ages where dancing all night!!! They announced everything from the cake cutting, bouquet toss, first dance, toasts etc. They have the most amazing and fun personalities and are very professional, they made every request possible! They went above and beyond to make sure that we all had the most amazing night!

We had the time of our life!

There are so many DJs out there to choose from and it is so difficult deciding whose hands to put the trust of the most important party of your life into. What got us about DJDC was their clever communications campaign after our first outreach. We decided to give up the paralysis by analysis and surrender. What followed was a top-notch professional experience. Our wedding ceremony production was complicated, and they had the dexterity to meet our needs and changes even as they evolved in the final week. They have modern online tools to inform and guide your DJ (or team of DJs) and they follow your requests which was the most important thing to us. They got the party going in exactly the way we imagined and we had a funky good time! Shout out to Mechial and Quan who pulled of the night of a lifetime for us!

Absolutely Perfect DJ Experience

Abay (DJ Adrenalin) was absolutely incredible and perfect for our wedding. We loved working with him and having him there to celebrate with us. The music he chose, his charm and character, everything he gave to us was perfect. Our guests have not stopped raving about how incredible he was. From a Spotify playlist we sent him and the entries we made on the DJDC forms, Abay perfectly constructed the music for us from ceremony through dinner through reception. I mean... his set finished and we invited him in to eat desserts and chat with just the family. We followed up with text convos the next couple days to talk about what a great job he did and how we hoped to see him again soon just to be friends. This company was the perfect choice and Abay was the perfect DJ. He absolutely crushed it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Amazing Night

Abay and DJDC productions were amazing. First of all, they worked with us through two postponements and made that process easy. Abay met with us multiple times before the wedding to make sure he understood our desired vibe and music preferences. When the day came, Abay ran through the big stuff (first dances and the like) with us one more time to make sure he had it right and then did a great job emceeing. Our dinner playlist was the perfect mix of crowd pleasers and our more eclectic selections. The dance floor had people on it all night, especially over the last hour or so of the night. Once Abay figured out what was really hitting with our crowd, he took that energy and kept it going for the rest of the night. It was an amazing night and the work Abay and DC did were a big part of that. Thank you!!!

Best reception ever!

The Best!!

Derrick was the absolute best in communicating and planning with us leading up to the event. He was excellent to talk to and really got to know us before recommending one of his DJ's, and he hit it out of the park. Brian was incredible, even dealt with us making last minute requests and changes and somehow made it all work. The dancefloor was packed the entire night and we had the time of our lives. Best experience ever!

First off our exceptions for DJ DC and MC Quan were high based off reviews we had read. DJ DC and Quan blew our expectations out of the water. Derrick is immaculately organized and had our entire night planned and organized from the minute we set foot into our wedding venue. I’ve always heard that you will never remember much about your wedding reception because of how much of a blur it was but we will absolutely remember how great Derrick and Quan made our night. Quan’s level of hype and energy is unmatched. I would dare say he could challenge flava flav. It is natural for a DJ at a wedding to interact with the bride and groom but Derrick and Quan made sure everyone felt special. We have had almost every guest from the wedding reach out to us and tell us how great Derrick and Quan were. Great time with DJ DC

DC and Quan were both great at our wedding. They set up the sound during our ceremony and reception. Never any feedback on the mics and noise level was always perfect. Quan was a hit getting the kids and parents onto the dance floor. DC was mixing up our favorite sounds and keeping everyone energized. Would recommend!

Abay is amazing!

Abay is THE BEST wedding DJ. I am not exaggerating - he made our special day so much more by being fun, sweet, and keeping everyone on the dance floor all night long. He actually mixed some of his own stuff, which blew our guests away, and he was constantly reading the room and adjusting. We were very hesitant to hire a dj because most of the wedding DJs we've seen have not been good but right from the first meeting Abay felt like a friend and genuinely wanted to make this a unique experience for us. If you are looking for a DJ who is fun, unique, and will keep your guests dancing then stop your search because you have found the perfect one.

Also, we took a dance lesson with Dorian and he did a wonderful job helping our two left feet move and he was so much fun to work with.

Everything you could wish for in a DJ!!

DJ Adrenaline absolutely nailed it in every way possible. We have so many great things to say. Leading up to the wedding we had a few Zoom calls to discuss what we wanted and didn’t want. Right off the bat we knew he was the DJ for us. He’s laid back, easy to talk to, funny, and most of all, passionate about what he does. We felt like we had known him for years! He also really cares about playing to the crowd and is mindful of music you do and don’t want to hear. We didn’t want the typical wedding reception music and let me tell you, DJ Adrenaline did not disappoint. Transitions were seamless. He hyped up the crowd when needed and brought them down for slow songs in a way that didn’t surprise them or make things awkward. The dance floor was never empty. The music was perfect for all ages, more on the upbeat and fun kind than “older” music. Even my 80 year old aunt stayed until 10:30 because she was having such a great time dancing! I can’t even count how many times people would come up to me and ask who our DJ was. I’ve given his phone number to three people so far and I think someone even asked for his card at the wedding. All this being said, DJ Adrenaline will take your wedding to the next level and far exceed any expectations. Highly, highly recommend!

DJ Adrenalin was the perfect wedding DJ!

DJ Adrenalin DJ'd our wedding and we could not have asked for a better experience. We were looking for someone who was creative, could read a crowd, and keep the energy level high. We like a variety of music--EDM, swing, funk to name a few--and did NOT want the typical wedding set. We wanted our music tastes to be represented, but in a way that was inclusive to everyone and fun. DJ Adrenalin nailed it.

We had a few calls with DJ Adrenalin before the wedding to get to know each other and so he could get a sense of what kind of vibe we wanted and he absolutely nailed it. He is incredibly personable, fun, and approachable--it felt like we were old friends by the time we first met in person. He did some awesome mixing/mashing and put his own, creative spin on the set to make it a truly unique and engaging experience. Everyone, from my Aunts/Uncles, to my mid-30's friends, to my college-aged cousins, said he was the best wedding DJ they ever experienced.

Your DJ plays a vital role in your wedding and we were so grateful they were a part of ours. Derek was extremely responsive with all our questions. Great DJ!!!!!

Booked DJ DC Productions for our backyard wedding - they were EXCELLENT!!!! Brian and his team were so great - I received so many compliments from our wedding guests on how great they were. They really got to know the bride and groom, what music we like, and really listened and watched the crowd. We had the best wedding reception ever, so much fun, and Brian made that happen. Happy, joyous and fun!

These DJs brought the party! They really listened to what the crowd wanted to hear and kept the dance floor hopping. Some DJs make the event about themselves, constantly inserting into the party, trying to draw focus as showmen, this team let the bride, groom and guests be the focus which we really appreciated. They were upbeat and happy and generally just great to be around. Both stationary and portable Photo booth was amazing, really added to the night!! Highly recommend

Superb Experience with DJ DC Productions

My now wife & I had began planning our wedding in late 2019 for our August 2020 wedding, with myself being in charge of music. I stumbled upon DJ DC Productions through a google search, saw they offered exactly the services we needed at a great price, and booked them. Derrick & his team, DJ Buff1 (aka Jamall Bufford) and MC Danny, stuck it out through COVID-19 uncertainty and delivered the best performance on our wedding night than we ever could have imagined. The guys were so attentive to our requests and their wedding planning software really made planning out the night a BREEZE. The music was phenomenal, especially for a Bride/Groom with a love of good music, and it'll truly be remembered for our lifetime. Our guests won't stop ranting & raving about the diversity of our music selections and the ability of the DJ/MC to keep the dancing going until the last song of the night. We're grateful for you guys!

We had the absolute dream team and could not be happier! Leading up to our wedding, Derrick and Maxx were there for us every step of the way. Super responsive, accommodating, and reassuring. Our DJ was our most popular wedding guest

Weeks after our wedding, guests are still commenting about one thing… Not the food. Or, the flowers. Or, how beautiful the ceremony was. They are commenting about the DJ! And, one word in particular comes up again and again: FABULOUS! My husband and I could not agree more!

We were paired up with our DJ, Abay Israel, by DJ DC Productions. Before we even talked about music, Abay wanted to talk about us. We met with him well in advance of our event, and the majority of our one-hour meeting focused on my husband and I as a couple, who we are as people, who are friends are, who will be attending the wedding, and the overall feel that we want to create. In discussing our needs for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, Abay was extremely knowledgeable about our venue and what type of sound amplification we would need. After our initial meeting, we kept in communication with Abay via phone and email, we felt confident that we were in very capable hands. Additionally, he communicated in advance directly with our ceremony musicians to arrange their sound needs as well, which I consider another mark of DJ DC Production’s professionalism and service.

When discussing our goals for the evening, we made one thing clear: We wanted a party! And, Abay delivered just that and so much more!! We provided song suggestions via the DJ website, but when it came down to it, Abay read the crowd and delivered on every level – Keeping the crowd dancing and pumping them up with the help of his hype man, Jamall Bufford.

I would recommend Abay and the DJ DC Productions crew to anyone looking for a fantastic and professional DJ! I wish we could live that night over again! - - It was truly a BLAST! THANK YOU, DJ DC Productions!

Loved these DJs

For my wedding we were lucky to have Daniel and Bryce and they were beyond our expectations! They kept the crowd ready and wanting to dance! I got SO many compliments on the song choices and flow of the entire reception. Derrick and Maxx were fantastic! We heard of DJDC by word of mouth, and they did not disappoint. From our initial consultation to the final sit down, they were professional, responsive, fun, and reassuring that they had everything covered to make our day perfect. The fact that actually spin—and aren’t just a jukebox—made the experience way more fun and fulfilling. Importantly, they played all the songs that we wanted played and mixed in some of great hits.

We also got a lot of compliments on the processional songs, and they helped a lot with that! We had know idea where to go with those, but Derrick gave us some great suggestions.

Overall, fantastic experience. Would highly recommend.

Top Notch DJ

The DJs were professional, full of energy and made our reception a blast. They played the perfect songs at the right times so the dance floor was never empty! We would absolutely recommend this DJ to anyone. They understood the music genre we were looking for and nailed it. They also worked with our violinist for our ceremony and it was like they had worked together before.

Abay is a charismatic host and expert energy curator!

Abay recently hosted our annual celebration and awards gala at UofM. He arrived early and helped with setup. Throughout the night, he kept me updated on any issues and with this being my first big event I was happy he was there to give me advice on how to keep the event running smoothly. Professional DJs at a competitive price, who listen to you!

Derrick and Maxx were absolutely fantastic!! They were respectful, inquisitive, and professional, not to mention fun to work with!! Absolutely the best DJ out there!

Derrick and max were absolutely fantastic. Starting in the initial meetings, they really took the time to get to know us and what would make our wedding perfect. They were able to accomplish that and so much more! We received so many glowing reviews from our friends and family, several mentioned reaching out to Derrick for future bookings. Derrick and Max basically became our day of coordinators, we had absolutely no worries on how smooth our day would go.

Kept the party going and made me feel comfortable from the start

Derrick and Maxx were the highlight of the party at our wedding! After our first meeting with them, I felt very relaxed and comfortable about choosing them. The weather made some of our plans change on our wedding day and they made it feel like it was no big deal and they could handle it (and did!). They kept the dance floor going all night-when there was a slight lull, they knew how to get people back dancing. Derrick also does a very good job MC-ing the day/night to keep things moving along. They weren't cheesy or made it about them-they made us feel like they were just there to celebrate us. You will not regret choosing them for your big day!!!!

DJ Adrenalin was awesome; he was very professional and a joy to work with...he took the time to ensure that my wife and I were happy with everything that he put together for our wedding. During the wedding, his command and control of the audience was top notch...he kept everyone engaged throughout the event. I can't say enough how incredible of a DJ we had with Abay! Our wedding was in the middle of Minnesota, and my husband's family is of Norwegian descent, so they are pretty reserved folks. My goal as bride was for everyone to dance! He had tricks I'd never seen before to get EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL ON THE DANCE FLOOR ALL AT ONCE! One middle aged Minnesotan woman said to me "Well that was a hoot! I've not had such a good time in my life!" And we got many similar rave reviews from other guests. Abay was so generous with his time and was seriously committed to making the wedding a success. We had him also DJ our rehearsal dinner which was supposed to be only two hours but he stayed as long as the party kept going. Not only did Abay give an excellent performance during the wedding weekend, but he also was with me every step of the planning process. We worked through exactly what would happen in a play-by-play through the whole reception and he informed me of how to work in the "mini-events" like the Anniversary Dance, Bouquet and Garter tosses. We were a special situation, getting married in central Minnesota, so he put in the hours researching local vendors who could rent us the DJ equipment that he couldn't travel with. He priced multiple vendors for me and gave advice on the quality of the equipment and reliability of the vendors making it easy for me to choose which equipment rental to go with. He also worked with the wedding coordinator at the venue to ensure the microphones and other audio would be fully functional (we had a childhood video montage to play). Finally, Abay is unique in that he is of Trinidadian descent. In addition to the repertoire you get from an American DJ, he's also your Trinidadian Caribbean DJ fully equipped with any soca, chutney, tassa, calypso, dancehall, reggae as your heart desires. Seriously look no further, hire Abay, he will make your wedding memorable for you and your guests.

Brian did a fantastic job DJing our wedding. The music was on theme, and he even wore a shirt under his dress shirt that was on theme. We received many compliments about the music during and after the reception. He was prepared with the correct songs for the dances and events. We had a great time.

Derrick and Maxx were amazing at our wedding! They are excellent at what they do and very professional! From our first meeting with them we knew we were in the best hands and felt reassured about at least one part of our wedding planning! :) At the reception they made sure that everything ran smoothly, even with the mishaps from our venue, they made sure everything was taken care of. They kept the dance floor going till the end of the night and everyone had so much fun!! They are great at reading the crowd and getting the party going! The photo booth was a great extra addition, and we have enjoyed looking through all the hilarious photos from our guests. Also, their uplighting added an amazing element to the ball room, we loved it! When we woke up the day after the wedding one of the first things my husband and I talked about was how fabulous Derrick and Maxx were. My husband told me on a scale to 1 to 10 that they were a 20. Abay Israel (DJ Adrenalin) & Zach were our dream DJs for our Ann Arbor wedding reception. Extremely punctual. Friendly and accommodating. They kept our dance floor crowded for close to four hours. Original remixes of our song requests. Excellent transitions. Great sound and lighting. Best of all--they were INTO IT. They seemed like they were having as much fun as our guests. I've never seen that in a wedding DJ before. Everyone was raving about them, and we couldn't have been happier. Book these guys if you want to DANCE!

Derick was recommended to us by a friend who is also a wedding planner. I put a lot of faith in her recommendation, as I booked him site unseen. Derrick and everyone who works under his brand are GREAT DJs! We had both Derrick and Dorian at our wedding. The dance floor was packed the entire night! These are the guys you want if you are looking for an actual DJ who can read crowds and keep the party going. They had people singing in their seats during dinner and still belting out the lyrics during the last song of the night. It was truly amazing (they even fully won over the hardest wedding DJ critic I know - my mom - who continued to rave about them for the entire week following the wedding). Their equipment adds to the party as well since it is top notch. Great speakers, mics, and up-lighting! Almost every single good-bye from guests at the end of the night included some comment on how awesome the DJs were. Even most of the congratulations texts the next day involved a comment on how the DJs were spectacular.

Beyond the DJ skills, Derrick is a fantastic guy who stepped up about a month before our wedding to save my wife and I from a potentially disastrous situation. Both Derrick and Dorian took time out of their days to meet my brother and I for lunch to go over everything a week before the wedding since circumstances changed so late (it should be noted that Derrick and Dorian had nothing to do with the changing circumstances - another DJ canceled - besides stepping up and saving us). None of our guests even knew they saved us at the last minute because he and Dorian were so good it seemed as if they had been preparing months ahead of time. How they did such an amazing job on such short timing is truly a testament to their abilities and personalities. They are both wonderful people who also happen to be wonderful DJs. They care about each wedding they do and want it to be perfect and and tailored to each individual couple. I promise you, you will be very happy and extremely satisfied with the results if you go with DJ DC Productions for your big day.

My wife and I had Abay DJ our wedding at Wellers Carriage House in Saline, MI. HE WAS OUTSTANDING! From the beginning steps to days before the wedding he had our best interests at heart and put our minds at ease. Picking out a DJ for your wedding can be very stressful but that was all avoided with Abay/DJ DC Productions. He really gets an understanding of your vision and takes it to the next level. From start to finish, our experience with DJDC was amazing! My daughter was just married this past Friday and we could not have been happier with them. We had our first meeting with Derrick and Abay several months ago and from the moment we walked into their office we were hooked. They were so personable, outgoing, and energetic that is was contagious. We really did not know exactly what we wanted but they were able to ask us the right questions so that they could tailor the experience to fit into our personalities. Hands down the best money I spent on my daughters wedding! Derrick and Maxx are unbelievable. These guys are true professionals. They communicate well with the client, other vendors and with each other. The day of the event was smooth and the reception was just plain fun. My daughter and son-in-law loved them, my husband and I loved them and our guest loved them. Their website is great and they help you pick the music for different stages of the event. Then once the music for entrances, formal dances, etc. were picked with left the rest up to the professionals and we were not disappointed. These guys know how to read a crowd and keep the party going. If you what to have a great party that your guest will be talking about well after the event I suggest you hire DJ DC Productions, LLC.

Derrick is amazing. He made our wedding so much fun. I knew I wanted to hire him from our very first phone call, and it was the best decision I made about our entire wedding. Communication before the wedding was great. When our pianist dropped out a month before the ceremony, he saved us from a disaster, offering us both live music and dj options so we didn't have to worry. He really listened to us at our pre wedding meeting, and it showed at the reception. The music was fun, very personalized, and the dance floor was full all night. He checked in with us when a family member wanted to give an unexpected speech, hopped up to lead the dancing when we all weren't quite sure how to do the cupid shuffle, and was an amazing MC. I can't say enough good things about how professional, fun, and helpful Derrick and his guys are! If we ever find ourselves in need of a DJ again, we won't even blink before calling him up. Derrick and Maxx were perfect. When planning a wedding you put a ton of effort in because you want you guest to have a great time. You don't want to be "that" wedding where everyone comments about how bad the DJ's were after all the effort you put into planning. I called up Derrick to run sound reinforcement for my friend’s wedding ceremony quite last minute, and he was totally willing to fit us in to a busy schedule despite having only a few days notice. It was super worth not having to deal with the sound ourselves, and everything went off without a hitch. He hooked us up with wireless handheld and lavalier mics - the sound was perfect and the gear was inconspicuous.

The DJ DC team was instrumental in making our wedding day the best day of our lives. Derrick performed his role as Master of Ceremonies with flying colors, going out of his way to make sure all the little things went right. He made sure there were drinks for toasting and always made sure the bride and groom did not need anything. The songs that were played had the dance floor hoping the entire night. Our event was not a wedding - we had our 25th anniversary party which was also an adult prom. I contacted Derrick back in January of 2017 when I started interviewing DJ's. Derrick was the first DJ I called and was too good to be true - I'm sure we've all heard the phrase "if it's too good to be true, than it usually is". After interviewing several DJ's, his price was the lowest. His professionalism was the best. He returned phone calls and emails promptly. And he was over the top excited about our event. His enthusiasm was again, too good to be true. When I told him my idea to throw my husband a Prom, he had great ideas. Oh, and the other unbelievable part - you get 2 DJ's - his business partner, Max, is just as awesome! Max and Derrick delivered! They met with my husband and I (after I asked him to Prom), and discussed with us our vision for the evening. The night of our event they arrived exactly when they said they would - 2 hours before the event started to set up. Everyone, and I mean each and every guest, told us and even them how great they were. I had a casino theme for the evening - I had poker tables, poker chips and cards for our guests to play during the evening. Only one card game was played for roughly an hour because everyone was on the dance floor having a blast! Derrick and Max stayed until midnight when the party ended and it took them another 90 minutes to take down their equipment. They had a very long evening but they were still full of energy and just as excited as we were. When I think back to our amazing Prom, a night I will never forget, I am beyond thrilled I chose them! My group of friends are planning on making the adult prom an annual event because it was so much fun getting dressed up and dancing the night away - and we WILL be using DJ DC Productions for our DJ's. There will not be an interviewing process! Trust me, if you want reliable, affordable, enthusiastic, and professional DJ's, look no further!

DJ DC Productions worked with us from early planning all the way to the finish line! We met with the team at his place of business to discuss some specific requests. I highly recommend requesting the theme/genre of music you want and letting the DJ creatively transition the music to the energy of the wedding. Everyone at our wedding had a great time and a large part was the experience we had with this company. He even mc'd our resident raffle effortlessly with short notice creating the
perfect amount of suspense and excitement! Pine Valley will definitely be using

These guys are great. They work with you every step of the way to make sure your night is exactly what you want. We hired them for our wedding and could not have been more pleased with the service they provided. I would recommend them to anyone.

Derrick and Max were great! Derrick made all announcements that needed to be made and was flexible with the timing of events. Derrick made sure that my wife and I were happy with content played. He also worked well with the site manager for our venue. I would recommend them to a friend.

DJ DC Productions is simply AMAZING!

Our wedding wasn’t what you would call traditional. But, Derrick was able to accommodate all of our requests to ensure the wedding went off without a hitch! We live about 2 hours away so Derrick suggested using his online portal, prior to the wedding, to input our music list & all additional wedding details. The website is very convenient and user friendly, while hitting all the major points for your big day. Derrick reviewed our wedding timeline and even made some suggestions so our reception would run smoothly. I can’t say enough about how great Derrick is! He’s prompt, professional, and personable. He’s not satisfied until he knows his clients are satisfied. I would recommend his phenomenal services to anyone looking for a DJ to accommodate their event.

We had our wedding this past weekend (4/23/17) and couldn't have been happier with the DJ experience. Derrick and Max were professional, interactive, and truly concerned about our event and our satisfaction. Everything leading up to the wedding day was discussed again and again to make sure everything was golden the day of the nuptials. We could NOT have asked for a better DJ duo for our big day. Thank you again and again. We will definitely use their services again if the occasion arises. I wish I could give them more than five stars!

DJ DC Productions is THE BEST for any and all events!!! I've had the pleasure of working with them twice to provide DJ services for two very different events, and they have delivered above and beyond any of my expectations! Their extensive knowledge of music genres and DJ mixing is incredibly unique in the industry and, not to mention, they're the most incredibly sweet and personable people!!! I felt so safe knowing that, with their timeliness of correspondence and expertise in the field, they could complete any request I had for them. They're also able to take your vision for the genre of music and play to the crowd's interests to ensure that both the hosts and the guests are equally happy. I can't recommend them enough!!!

Very impressed with the work Derrick did and the music was great. He and his crew know how to get your group out on the dance floor and have lots of fun. Derrick did an amazing job at accommodating us planning our wedding remotely. He is easy to work with and can work changes all the way up to the wedding date. The dance floor was poppin and people had an awesome time busting their moves to Derricks playlists!!

I've organized the same fundraiser middle school dance for the past 4 years. Hiring Derrick Castenholz and DJ DC Productions was the best decision I made to guarantee the success of our event. I see now that everything takes a back seat to finding a DJ who connects with the crowd and turns up the energy on the dance floor. Derrick customized his playlist to the music interests of the students which kept them singing and dancing all evening. No one wanted to sit on the side and eat! Students were dancing as they waited in line for the photo booth.
His lazer and light show added to the excitement. Past years I've fooled around putting up our own party lights. It was ok... DJ DC Productions arrived early to setup and took care of everything. I appreciated having that off my "to do" list - which is pretty long when you're hosting a party for 300+!
Can I say hiring DJ DC Productions with the lazer and light show made me look savvy and smart? What event organizer doesn't want that? Also, the positive buzz floating around the school the next week means our event will be even more popular next year. Our fundraiser just got better!

Gabe and I had the most amazing experience with DJ DC!!! I cannot express enough how happy we are that we hired him to be our wedding DJ. From the initial meeting all the way through the planning process, he made us feel reassured that we would get exactly what we wanted. Everyone had a blast dancing at our wedding. The custom up lighting was especially fun. My favorite part about working with DJ DC was his prompt responses and attention to detail. I was never worried that I couldn't get in touch with him and that really mattered to us in the wedding planning process. Anyone who chooses to work with him won't be disappointed. He is the best!!

DJ DC and DJ Maxx saved our wedding. We had another DJ booked months before. After he put us off multiple times on our walk through, we found that the guy we had booked was really un-accommodating. I'll admit, our venue was not the easiest to provide DJ services for, but it would have been nice to know weeks ahead of time on our original walk through date. I knew DJ DC through a friend of mine and he picked up the gig with less than a weeks notice. He provided three different set ups and got the job done flawlessly. He did such a good job that people form the adjacent wedding came over to check out his set up. He turned an outdoor pavilion into a night club. Absolutely an amazing job guys! Thanks again for everything!

I found DC and his crew to be extremely flexible. This was a quinceanera. In addition to accommodating our teenage daughter's unusual wishes for music(she wanted 40's swing music, and banned several pop songs), we kept changing the program on him. Even when they arrived to set up, we threw a wrench in the works. Dance floor was in a weird location, and we added a live performance from my son. Each time, they assured me they could handle it, not to worry. The event went perfectly! Later in the night, when my daughter relaxed the constraints a bit, we got to enjoy some of the best DJ and mixing work I've heard in a long time. Bonus: the volume was just right for the venue, not too loud, not too soft.

I cannot say enough how pleased my wife and I were with the experience we received for our wedding. As a musician, I can't lie, I had quite a few demands about the song selections for our reception. Derrick and Maxx more than accommodated those demands. They truly blew away our expectations. When everyone is on the dance floor for the last song, you know the DJ did it right. That's exactly what happened. Not only was our wedding incredible, but the whole process leading up to the wedding was made easy due to these guys. And, if your getting married, you know how important that is. Thank you so much Derrick and Maxx. You guys kick ass.

Be honest about what you are looking to do and what your vision is. Be flexible at the same time, however. There is always a level of trust that is involved when relying on others to bring your deeply personal experiences to life. When it comes to specifics, the professional may know how to best leverage his expertise to help you reach your goals. Derrick did a great job of this. He took the time to understand what I was trying to accomplish and then used his specific skill set to bring the entire event together. Most of his ideas were things I hadn't even thought of. A true professional...with a personal touch that made every interaction easy and enjoyable. I could not have asked for a better outcome and experience.

The best DJ around! We hired Derrick for our wedding reception and have no regrets. Great correspondence and very accommodating to all our requests. Loved the setup. You definitely get what you pay for.

I work for a Community Mental Health Vocational Program for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and each year we host a banquet to celebrate everyone hard work and successes during the year. Derrick has been our D.J. for this event the last three years now. The first year the first D.J. we looked at backed out at the last minute, so literally Derrick stepped up 24 hours before the event to help us out! He was amazing. All the people we support loved him and Derrick interacted with them throughout the event! And since that time, he has been requested to come back. Even this year, Derrick brought lots of lights to make our event extra special. I would recommend Derrick to anyone needing a D.J. for an event. He is a joy to work with and made the event so much fun!

We hired DJ DC Productions for a small homecoming dance at our high school. He was very prompt with all e-mail communications and extremely flexible. The students were constantly dancing throughout the night and they really enjoyed having him as our DJ. We also booked a photo booth with DJ DC and he was able to put our logo on the photo strips. They provided a wide variety of props, including props I had never seen before. Overall, we really enjoyed having him at our event and would definitely hire him again! Good Job, Derrick!

Derrick, an amazing DJ, worked with us extensively to provide an amazing evening of music and fun at our annual holiday party. He effortlessly guided me through the process, and was very knowledgeable and helpful. At the event, the music was perfect for our group, age range between 19 and 65 and everyone was on the dance floor all night! He did wonderful on keeping the music appropriate for a work event. That was our biggest obstacle when looking for a DJ. We had so many compliments from our staff on how great our DJ was. I think the price included so much more than just another DJ, we paid for personality, professionalism, experience and the perfect MC for our evening! I would recommend Derrick to everyone I know that needs a DJ for a wedding or any event planned! Fantastic job and wonderful experience!!! Thank you Derrick!

We feel so fortunate to have had Derrick as our DJ at our reception! Right from the start, he was professional and reliable. He answered emails promptly. His passion for music, technology and sound made him the perfect DJ for us. His enthusiasm was magnetic! He offered great suggestions regarding song selections, timeline of events, etc. His online music database and planning forms are amazing tools that will take all your stress away! In regards to his performance on our wedding day…Derrick was phenomenal!! To start, his timing was spot on. He was an excellent MC for the introductions and announcements throughout the night. As far as the music, he killed it! He kept the dance floor PACKED all night!! Thanks to Derrick, we continue to get rave reviews from guests about the awesome music and great time they had. Believe me when I say, Derrick is worth every penny!! He made us feel relaxed and confident in his abilities. He also set up dance floor lighting which was a great addition to the dance party! Derrick was the DJ and provided the photo booth at our August 2014 wedding. We would hire him again in a heartbeat! Our dance floor was packed the entire night and our guests kept telling us how great the DJ was. We still, a year later, have friends and family members telling us how our DJ was the best they've seen at any wedding! Derrick was easy to work with and made sure everything the day of the wedding went smoothly.

Derrick was a fabulous wedding DJ. He was incredibly responsive and communicated every step with me. He gave some suggestions if I was indecisive, but he always catered to my needs. One of my friends had him surprise me by playing a special clip. He did it without hesitation and made my special day even better. He went with the flow of the night and adapted if there were any changes needed. He had great equipment and a huge selections of music. Many of my guests danced all night. Derrick knew when to take charge and worked incredibly well with our caterers. I also hired him for the photo booth. The booth was amazing! There were TONS of props AND I got to take home a photo album with all of the pictures! My guests loved this added touch. My wedding day was stress free because of Derrick!!! I highly recommend him to DJ your wedding!

Derrick was awesome at my sisters wedding!! He was professional and easy to work with. My sister had to change her date to an earlier date due to an terminal illness in the family. So needless to say she was stressed out trying to pull it all together, quickly. Derrick made the entertainment piece stress free. He has great sound equipment and lights too! It was such a fun wedding!!! Thanks Derrick!
