Best Hair & Makeup Team EVER!
I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am that I selected Tammie Garza and Mayra Aquila to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. They are such professionals who were able to make me feel and look SO amazing as a 67 year old bride. Their prices are reasonable, and they are delightful! I enjoyed just being in their shop talking and laughing with them! I highly recommend and will be returning for styling for special occasions! Thank you Tammie and Mayra! ❤️-

Tammie met huge expectations for my bridal hairdo!
Tammie was extremely professional, talented, knew how to work with my thick wavy hair, and made me look very glamorous when I thought no hair stylist could! I cannot recommend her enough, I had little to no faith in finding someone that could meet my expectations for my own hair (I was going to do it myself), but after the trial I knew I could trust her with eyes shut. Very punctual as well, and a delight to work with. She made me feel beautiful and I had one less thing to worry about. I'm so thankful to have met her!!!-

Tammie is an absolute miracle worker! I’ve never met a hairstylist with her level of talent, passion, and eye for perfection. She took my idea for my best friend’s wedding and elevated them into something more beautiful than I could have imagined. Her work isn’t just styling—it’s pure artistry. Because of my incredible experience working with her at my friend’s wedding as well as for numerous other special events, I will be hiring her for my wedding hair and makeup.
On top of her incredible skills, Tammie has such a warm, calming presence that made the whole experience feel effortless. She’s a true professional who listens, understands, and brings your vision to life with precision and creativity.

This team is knowledgeable with what it takes to plan a wedding. They know the ins and outs of how to plan your entire party for hair and make-up. Very Happy Groom!
Tammie did my wife’s hair on our wedding day (3/25/22) she looked amazing! I like that she still looked like her but also extremely beautiful. She was also very confident about her hair and makeup and was beyond happy. She received many compliments throughout the night and I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her. Very professional team! On time and great at what they do. -

My hair has never looked better!
I had my hair trial a couple days ago and I was stunned! Not only did Tammie blow me away by how pretty it looked, but she also assisted me in selecting the perfect extensions and hair piece/vine for my hair. You cannot go wrong with her, she knows her skill very well. If you’re looking for someone who is going to blow you away, she is the one! I cannot wait until she recreates the look on my wedding day! -

Amazing Experience
Tammie and Myra are both such a delight to work with! I have been married twice, and have used Tammie on both occasions to make me feel and look beautiful on my special day. BOTH times, I have NOT been let down. Tammie exceeds the standards in all areas. Both times, she has showed up early, has a timeline that makes things run smoothly, and passionately cares about the end results. I asked Tammie to do a pretty tricky hairstyle on me. She didn't even think twice before seriously knocking it out of the park. I got SO many compliments on my hair. At the end of the night, it still looked as good as it did when she just finished that morning!! Of course, if you're wanting a hairstyle that awesome, you will probably have about 100 bobby pins in your hair, but that's kind of part of it.... My bridesmaids, flower girls and mom's hair was all awesome, too. Tammie coached them on the best hairstyles that would compliment their face and dresses and she was spot on because they all looked SO GOOD. Tammie's communication with me up until the day of the wedding was superb. Even after the wedding, she has checked in on me. She built a relationship with me and I am super grateful for that. It shows she truly cares about her clients and how they feel and what they think. On a day I was already stressed and worried about everything going just right, I knew I did not have to worry about my hair/makeup because Tammie was in the lead.
Myra did our make up. She is just a professional as Tammie. All of our make up looked fresh throughout the whole night (even through several tears!!) She was so friendly and fun to talk to during the whole process. If you're looking to feel beautiful for an entire day, please consider Myra as your girl.
I will absolutely being using Tammie again in the future for date nights, anniversaries, friend's weddings, etc. She's AMAZING. I promise you will not regret giving her a shot! -

Tammie was absolutely wonderful! I have naturally curly hair, but I wanted more defined curls for my wedding. Tammie knew exactly how to do what I wanted. She has lots of experience and knows how to work with wedding parties. Just listen and take her advice on time and set up. She knows what she's doing. She did all of our hair and Bernadette did everyone's makeup and they had everyone done on schedule. It was so stress free. Tammie was always available to ask questions, and also does trials to make sure your hair and makeup is exactly what you want for your wedding. Her experience in the wedding industry and expertise with all hair types is what impressed me. I couldn't be happier with the results! -

I have used Tammie Garza on several occasions – Bridal portraits, wedding, formal events – over the past 15 years. Tammie is the best in the industry – hands down. She knows hair and what needs to be done to make you look your best. Tammie runs a tight ship and will get you in and out the door on schedule which is important. However, as with all stylists, I would recommend being respectful of her time and making sure you arrive on time or even a few minutes early. Tammie and her team have their trade down to a science. If you show up late you are not only causing them to have to work faster which doesn’t make for a pleasant experience for all involved. -

Tammie was absolutely amazing! She was the perfect person for my event and did my hair for my bridals, as well as multiple practice sessions, which I appreciated. She was very professional and is a master of hair. My hair is very difficult to work with because it is thin and balding in some areas. I am very embarrassed by them, but Tammie was able to make them disappear, which I am forever grateful. I also returned to Tammie a few months later to help me with my hair for another wedding that I was in as the maid of honor. I was able to show her various styles that I liked and she was able to replicate them beautifully!

Having a destination wedding is stressful, but Tammie was very accommodating and made me feel so comfortable on my big day. She captured my desired look so well and made me truly stunning! Even with the entire bridal party (9 people), Tammie's attention to detail was amazing. I definitely recommend Tammie to anyone looking for an experienced hair stylist for their wedding. -

I spent hours looking for a wedding day hairstylist. It was extremely difficult to make a decision since I lived out of state and could not do the trial first. I ended up finding Divine Weddings Hair & Makeup by Tammie Garza and immediately booked her. I am so glad I did and I highly recommend Tammie. She was extremely professional, very personable, and passionate about her craft. My hair was exactly have I envisioned it for my wedding day and everyone commented on how beautiful it looked. My bridesmaids and mothers also looked gorgeous and they each were styled by Tammie. Tammie Garza only did hair styling for me and my bridal party (not make up) and she did an amazing job! I got a lot of compliments on my up do!
She was very punctual and calming, and was able to do 5 ladies' updos, touched up for the MoB and put a flower wreath into an existing do for the flower girl all in 3.5 hours!

Tammie did my hair for my bridal portraits and my wedding. She also did the MOG and MOB's hair and all the bridesmaids. I could not say enough good things about her. She is very professional and talented. She was able to take my ideas and work them into a great look for my dress, the venue and the theme of my wedding. She also did the same for everyone else's hair so there was a continuity and good overall effect. She was able to see what would look good on each individual person as well given their dress, face structure, hair type etc. She works fast too and had us done before scheduled. She was very clear with pricing and good at getting back to me whenever I had questions. I also think her pricing was rather on the inexpensive side for the services she offered. Overall her schedule is generally flexible (she was able to do my hair at 6:00 am for my bridals that day) but she does book up fast so I would book as early as possible to make sure you can have her on your wedding day. And she is just a really nice person to spend time with. -

Tammie was so great to work with. I wanted her from my trial I had another trial set up , but canceled when she was done. She is a true artist!! She cares so much about her brides and really wants it to be a great day. She did my hair for my bridals and my wedding day. She did my bridesmaids and my mom on the day of. Every girl and my mom loved their hair and looked beautiful. Tammie is always on time and stays on schedule which in that business is hard to do but she does. She came to my friends condo and was very nice even though my girls were running a bit behind, but all turned out beautiful in the end and she is very awesome at what she loves to do.

Wow! Is all I can say about these ladies. They made me and my best friend and sisters looks amazing. My looked her absolute best. My grandma looked gorgeous and she actually liked her hair and makeup. And she is one woman that is difficult to please. We had a great time with them. Lauren and Tammie were great to work with. They started and finished on time. They even took some extra family members on at the last minute. They worked all day without a break. We had to force them to take a few bites for lunch. Our wedding party looked amazing! I'm glad I looked a searched for them. I was lucky they still had openings by the time I decided. I am one hard bride to please. I was very pleased! -

Tammie provided hairstyle services for my 4 bridesmaids and myself. She was very flexible and professional in addressing any needs/concerns. She is an on-location stylist and was flexible in meeting us wherever was easiest for us. I got so many compliments on my hair and loved that she brought my vision to life!! :) My bridesmaids hairstyles were also gorgeous and fit with the overall theme. Tammie truly made me (as well as my bridesmaids) feel like princesses for a day. I am TERRIBLE at doing my own hair, and it was a no brainer that I would need to get my hair professionally done for my big day. She whipped up a beautiful do - EXACTLY like the picture I provided her quickly and easily, it even stayed in place long enough for me to sleep in it and it still look good again the next day!! She was very friendly and professional and she even please my VERY picky bridesmaids who swore nobody would ever be able to make their hair look like they wanted it to. Boy were they wrong! One of my bridesmaids even gave her a big hug when she saw her hair and exclaimed "NOBODY HAS EVER MADE MY HAIR LOOK THIS GOOD!" ;)
I would strongly recommend Tammie for your wedding day or special event. She was 20 minutes early on our wedding day and was quick to set up at my apartment and was very good with time management and got all 6 of us done and out the door with plenty of time for pictures at our venue. -

I had a great experience with Tammy from Divine Weddings! Three things to know about her: skillful, affordable, and speedy. She was willing to show up at our house at 5:30am for our 11am wedding to do me and 6 bridesmaids with the help of an assistant - without a huge travel fee. She did a great job on my test run and wedding day hair (although they were a little different, both were beautiful and I was actually happier with the wedding day version)! Compared to all the overpriced, 'high concept' wedding stylists on the market, Tammy has the right idea. Book her! -

I had originally booked a practice hair trial with another vendor but was extremely disappointed with her work. Tammie was able to accommodate me for a hair trial two weeks before my wedding. I was so pleased with my hair during the trial, that for the first time, I truly felt like a bride. Tammie has been doing hair for many years and I knew it the minute she started working with my hair. She made me feel at ease and satisfied with her services. The day of, my hair, if possible, turned out even better and combined with the make-up, felt like a beautiful bride. I received many compliments that day on my hair and it was all thanks to Tammie. Gracias chica! -

Tammie is Wonderful! I gave her a vision of the look I was going for and she pulled it off without a hitch! I had tons of comments on my hair and my husband said I looked "stunning" on our wedding day. She is very professional, creative, on-time, efficient and I didn't have to worry about a thing. I gave her and my make-up artist, Lauren with Hint of Shimmer, the number of bridesmaid and they organized a schedule and stuck to it. This was such a great experience that I could sit back, relax and be a bride! -

Tammie was very professional and courteous in her correspondence (email and on the phone). I did a trial run with her and she made my vision for my hair a reality! She showed up on-site on time and ready to work! She and her assistant set up their workstations and got going right away with hair prep on me and my bridal party. The timeline worked out great (awesome planning) and we left for the ceremony right on time! Her prices are very fair and very competitive with Austin companies. I definitely recommend her! Tammie is my favorite of all hair dressers that I have worked with. She is the best stylist and my brides and their wedding party always look fabulous...from the beginning to the end of the evening. She is fun, flexible and really knows hair and what looks best on a bride. We have done too many weddings together to count through the years.

Tammie was just GREAT. Being from Houston and not having specific references for services in Houston I had to rely on the internet. I found her interview online and Tammie's enthusiasm and love for what she does just came across wonderfully. She was very prompt in responding to emails and she does provide on site services. I had a couple of trial runs with her (one for some portrait pictures) and my wedding day and each time it kept getting better. Even though weeks went by in between appointments Tammie remembered me and what I wanted to have done. Tammie really cares about keeping to your timeline; not only was she punctual, but even early so we could be done in time. With the hair and makeup I can humbly say I looked amazing. I keep looking at the pictures not believing I could look that good. THANK YOU Tammie. :) -

I’m a wedding photographer and have seen Tammie’s work many times and have always thought she was the BEST of the BEST, creating individual, unique styles for each person she works with. When my daughter got married last weekend, we were fortunate enough to have had Tammie work her magic, and the results were nothing short of spectacular! I’ve honestly never felt so beautiful, nor have I ever seen my 3 daughters look quite so radiant. We did a trial run with Tammie for my daughter’s hair (the bride) a few days before the wedding and it was gorgeous! However, my daughter decided to wear her hair down at the last minute, and Tammie was able to do a perfect job, creating exactly what my daughter wanted. We couldn’t have been happier! The compliments poured in, all night long from friends and family.
Tammie was punctual, prepared and professional throughout the day and finished everyone on time. She was an absolute pleasure to work with, and has personally proven that she’s a master at her craft, a true artist. I will continue to refer her to all of my friends, family and future brides that I work with in the future. If you want the BEST of the BEST, call Tammie!

Tammie and her team do an excellent job of figuring out what the client wants and giving it to them. Tammie about different types of hair and really does her best to make the style work for your hair type. She obviously has expertise when it comes to hair, styles, and bridal looks. Her makeup artist also does the same when it comes to the client. Overall, I was very happy with my bridal look and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great, affordable stylist with expertise. -

Tammie recently did the hair for 8 bridesmaids, along with myself, and she did an excellent job. She works quickly and efficiently, and can do just about any hair style you want. I was very impressed, because my hair DOES NOT curl, and she made sure that it was not only curly, but that it stayed put all afternoon and evening. She comes to you, which is great, and she will stick to whatever schedule you give her. Her prices are also extremely reasonable when compared to other wedding hair stylists. -

Tammie was very professional and has been in the industry for a very long time. She is the type of person who will make sure that you are on time. With that being said, we had an early start since my bridal party was large and we had a 10AM ceremony. I know she was a little flustered when a hair stylist showed up late, but she caught us up to our schedule.
I highly recommend doing a trial run. I did one and my original idea was not really what I wanted. I had later adjusted my thoughts on how I should look and relayed it to them. On the wedding day, the results were amazing! I couldn't have looked and felt any prettier for both of my ceremonies (did a change of hairstyle later the same day).
The only down side would be that there were a lot of appointments on my wedding day, which meant she had to be on-time different locations all throughout Austin. Hair and make-up was a bit rushed, but still turned out great. -

Tammie was great...my hair was beautiful in all my pictures! Some of it did fall even before I made it to our venue, so that was a bit disappointing, but one of my bridesmaids was able to pin it back up, so crisis averted! -

My hair looked pretty good; but hairpiece came out before the ceremony. My hair was starting to fall after the ceremony. However, I arrived that morning to be told that the makeup artist was out and wouldn't be replaced. Left me in a very bad spot for my wedding. I had already paid for a trial run that was a wasted $90. -

Disrespectful
We hired her because she had good reviews and to our surprise she was incredibly ill-mannered to the 5 ladies that did their hair for my daughter's wedding. She argued with the bride, told the gramma that "finally she looked like she had hair", pushed my head down, grabbed the maid of honors face, etc. I can go on but I think you can draw a conclusion. -

Would never recommend...
Hiring Tammie for my wedding day was the biggest mistake I could have made. I was an out-of-town bride so I wasn’t able to have my hair trial until 2 weeks before my wedding because that was the earliest I was in town. Tammie’s behavior at the trial was rude, harsh, and inappropriate. I brushed it off as maybe a bad day but she acted identically on the wedding day towards the entire bridal party and family. She comes off as very professional over the phone but her behavior in person is far from this. Some events from my wedding day:
-Tammie was traveling to Fredericksburg from Austin so we paid her a travel fee as requested. Less than a week before the wedding day, she informed us that she was tacking on an ADDITIONAL travel fee, almost doubling the price, because the “travel distance is longer than expected.” Tammie had the address for 1.5 months before the wedding date.
-She demanded caffeine while getting ready and was annoyed when I offered coffee. When supplied tea she refused to drink it and when asked if it was okay she responded (shouted) to my mother-in-law, “Jesus Christ _____, get off my back.” Had she told me prior at the trial that she required tea, I would have gladly had this available.
-When discussing with her that my curls fell an hour after the trial she said how she thought that would happen and that’s just how it would be. She completely ignored and did not address my concern- big surprise, my hair fell. -She started early on my hair and got done 45 minutes earlier than her schedule had intended. My bridesmaids and family were going off her supplied schedule and she was then extremely annoyed and passive-aggressive that the others weren't also ready 45 minutes earlier.
-When everyone’s hair and makeup was complete, Tammie and Mayra left without a word said. And honestly, it was a relief for everyone. I hate to leave bad reviews but no bride’s get-ready experience should ever have to experience Tammie. We reached out to Tammie after the wedding to share how we were disappointed with her behavior and wanted to address things with her personally rather than posting a bad review. We never received a response. I wish I trusted my gut at the trial and discontinued hiring Tammie but being from out-of-town, I couldn't cancel. -

Tammy did beautiful hair for me and my bridesmaids. However, she was extremely rude to me, my mother, and my bridesmaids. She insulted us constantly and created a hostile environment instead of a relaxing one on a day that should have been 100% happy. She always seemed angry and put everyone on edge.
She had a very brusk manner and didn't care about what anyone wanted for their own hairstyle. If she wanted to do a certain style on someone's hair and they had something different in mind, she was very pushy with them and would talk about them behind their backs to me. Not a smart move.
She is the one vendor I used that I would absolutely not recommend to anyone else. While the hair was beautiful, I don't think the mood she created would ever be worth it again. -

Worst Experience
Worst experience of my life. Somehow she burned what I can only assume was plastic (she never fessed up to what it actually was) into my hair on the day of my brother’s wedding and did not even apologize for it. Her “fix” to get it out was offering to cut out the front of my hair where she had created a massive knot of bright blue plastic in my hair. I spent 2 hours sobbing in the bathroom working with my mom (mother of the groom) and sister to get it out and we still could not get all of it out and ended up having to rip part of my hair out along with the blue plastic. Not only did she ruin my hair, but she then still made me pay for it and was extremely rude to several other bridesmaids in the party. What should have been a fun day became a nightmare because of her and I highly recommend you stay away and never use her! -

She did an ok job when she was allowed to freestyle an hairstyle. But she does not do well with more specific instructions. She appeared a bit abrasive and not open to other suggestions. She appears to be used to being the boss and likely is only in business because her clientele consist of people who she only has to see once. Don't was your money . Choose someone else who is more skillful and has a better personality -

Actually deserves a ZERO for flexibility /professionalism/responsiveness .
Let me recount a day with Tammie : She starts by asking for a picture of what you would like . You show her a picture and then she critics the picture and states she is going to do a better job. Then she vaguely tells me how it’s going to be better. She then makes the statement “are you sure this is what you want because once I am done I have no time to fix it.” WTF!!! this statement was bothersome to me because 1- your job is to make your guest happy and if you mess up, then yes you should have time to fix the crap you made. The hair style I ended up with was terribly different than what I had showed her and the changes she made were very ugly. My hair had a lot of volume in the stop center but then the curls on the bottom were flat. She also made weird fizzy regular braids (which she erroneously kept calling the fishtails)
Tammie is a mix of rude personality and bad taste. She is unpleasant and her hairstyles were dreadful. She does not know how to make a picture style in person. She is extremely arrogant, makes intrusive comments and was overly opinionated about everything. She is kind of the evil mother that you never wanted. She brought a negative energy that everyone tries to avoid on their wedding day.
My recommendation is to pick any another of the great Austin stylist but Tammie. If there is no other stylist available do it yourself or go to a salon.
FYi: the makeup girl did a fabulous job and she was super sweet.
