Ebs is the go-to wedding planner for Summit County! She was an absolute wealth of knowledge for our Breckenridge wedding. Her vendor recommendations were spot-on, and her strong relationships with them helped make our wedding vision come to life seamlessly.
Ebs is incredibly hard-working, organized, and always on top of every detail. I really appreciated our phone check-ins throughout the planning process - she made everything feel so manageable and FUN!
About a month before our wedding, we faced a major curveball when my mom became too sick to attend. Ebs went above and beyond during an incredibly emotional time, helping us make the necessary adjustments and helping make my mom’s presence felt throughout the day.
On the wedding day, Ebs was everywhere she needed to be - attentive, calm, and ready to handle any little thing that popped up. She even gave my husband and I a ride to our after party when we missed the last bus!

Ebs brought all our wedding dreams to life and was truly the best planner to work with!! She came highly recommended by a family friend, and choosing her was one of the best decisions we made. We recently got married at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge, and working with Ebs as our wedding planner was truly one of the best decisions we made. From the very beginning, Ebs was fantastic—she is incredibly organized, detail-oriented, and a genuine pleasure to work with. Over the course of 1.5 years of planning, she consistently eased all of my anxieties, always making herself available to answer questions and provide guidance.
Ebs has amazing relationships with local vendors, which made the planning process seamless and stress-free. On our wedding day, she handled everything behind the scenes so smoothly that we were able to fully relax and enjoy every moment. There are no words to fully describe the gratitude, appreciation and admiration I have for Ebs, but I do know that hiring her was by far the best decision in our entire wedding planning journey. From the very first phone call, it was clear we were in great hands. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable about so many things, but also warm and friendly, which made us feel at ease throughout the entire planning process. Every question we had—no matter how big or small—was met with patience and thorough answers, and trust me, we had a million questions. Our wedding day truly felt like a dream come true, and we owe so much of that to Ebs’s unwavering dedication. She took the time to understand our vision and then brought it to life, and it was even more than we hoped for. Ebs recommended multiple options for all of our vendors, and we chose her recommendations and they were perfect matches for us. You can genuinely feel how much she loves her job and her clients, and many of our vendors echoed this sentiment.
Our lives were unexpectedly turned upside-down three weeks before our wedding and I had 100% confidence and trust in Ebs to handle everything while I stepped away to be with family. She handled that situation with such grace and compassion, making sure all of our last minute changes and requests were met.
On our wedding day, we felt completely at ease knowing that she was in control. I’m as “type A“ as they get, and although I’m typically perpetually stressed out, I was SO uncharacteristically chill on my wedding day, which I believe is because I knew we had Ebs on our side. In the end our day was flawless, and we couldn't have done it without her expertise and support.
I often joke that—without Ebs—I would have cried a hundred times during planning and probably would have eloped! She made this entire journey not only manageable but truly enjoyable, to the point where I wish I could do it all over again.

Ebs and DMEs exceeded our expectations! She was always punctual and responsive in helping us! She was always willing to meet and chat to talk about the plans and questions that popped into my head along the way. She was super organized and great at keeping us on track and crossing off our checklist. We were planning a Breck wedding from afar and booked the place without seeing it til our wedding day and we could only have done that by having Ebs be the expert and insider. I valued her opinion and experience when making decisions. On the day of, she was incredible behind the scenes-- including putting out little fires that I didn't even know where happening (which is exactly what I needed/wanted). Ebs was great working with vendors and we could not have planned this wedding without her and her team! -

Before hiring a wedding planner, we asked around for recommendations. We only received one name from three different people - Elizabeth (Ebs) Long at Distinctive Mountain Events. She completely lived up to the hype!
After carefully listening to the bride and groom’s somewhat unique request to ski in their wedding attire after the ceremony, Ebs was quick to narrow down the venue options. She helped with transportation for the wedding party to ski and board, as well as referred us to the best photographers, DJs, and florists, keeping our budget in mind. She suggested the best places to shop for wedding attire, as well as provided discount codes for attire and transportation. She advocated with the vendors for us, often getting additional services for low to no cost. We were nicely nudged on checklists when needed, which was important as the wedding was planned in less than 6 months!
Ebs detailed timeline for the wedding weekend was invaluable. She kept the rehearsal moving the night before, negotiated with the venue for additional time in the bridal suite, fixed an issue with the food and drink during the event, and, most importantly, kept the bride and groom calm and happy!
While controlling the weather was not in her job description, Ebs saved the day when terrible weather arrived. On the January wedding weekend, Breckenridge received 3-4 feet of snow, preceded by an arctic blast of cold temps (-20 degrees) and powerful winds (40 mph). The evening before, the mountain pass from Denver closed, meaning the groomsmen missed the rehearsal but arrived safely later that night. On the wedding day, as pictures were starting, Ebs calmly informed us that all ski areas had closed due to high winds. Chairlifts were not running. After consulting with local experts, she quickly came up with a back-up plan. Ebs worked with the shuttle drivers to drop the skiers off on a run that does not need to be accessed by a chairlift – the ski home run at the end of the day. The bride said snowboarding in a wedding dress was easy and it was an added benefit that we were the only ones on the run given the mountain was closed. The wedding was spectacular, despite the crazy weather. A giant thanks to Ebs for the amazing memories!

I cannot overstate how incredible, enjoyable, and invaluable it was to work with Ebs and her team at Distinctive Mountain Events. Our wedding day was nothing short of our dream come true, and that is all thanks to DME’s experience, attention to detail, and love for their clients! We would often joke that we forgot DME even had other clients because we truly felt like such a high priority: DME was always incredibly responsive, and when an issue would come up with a vendor it was often already solved by Ebs and her team before I even had a chance to be worried.
We originally chose DME because we do not live in Colorado full-time, and we knew we needed someone who was familiar with the area and the vendors to help with the planning and execution of the wedding of our dreams. Little did we know, we were getting the most popular, talented, and loved planning team in the area! DME seems to now literally everyone in Summit County and beyond and is well respected by all. All I had to do was say “Oh, I am working with DME” and was treated as a high priority from all vendors. We never, ever felt like DME was looking out for anything other than our best interests. By the end of the entire year (!) we spent working with DME, they had caught so many little details that were over looked by other vendors and essentially saved the day so many times. For example, two days before the wedding she caught the fact that, for some reason, the rental company forgot to add on rain flaps for the tent - which are typically included in any tent order. As it does almost every afternoon in Colorado, it then rained during the wedding dinner. Everyone would have been soaked and freezing if it weren’t for DME! That is just a small example of how invaluable DME is to your wedding. They have so much experience that they literally think through EVERY detail and are insanely organized. I am jealous of any future couple that gets to work with them… I already want to do it all over again!! -

Ebs was amazing to work with. Once you give her a clear idea of your vision, she has all the answers. Every time she would recommend someone, she would also provide options, but after looking at all of them she somehow ALWAYS nailed it with the first. She made stressful planning a breeze without pushing anything on you and has the experience to answer all of your questions. It would be easy to talk on and on about how amazing she was to work with, but just hire her and find out. When you get engaged you don't realize how hard planning a wedding CAN be, and with her help, you'll never have to. -

DME is amazing!
Ebs was my planner during the wedding planning process. She was super helpful especially since she is so familiar with all of the venues and vendors in the area which we needed because we live in NY. She was very responsive and always answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Our planner the day of the wedding was Natalie. She is great too! She was super organized and on top of everything. The transition between Ebs and Natalie was seamless. I would highly recommend DME for any Colorado weddings! They made the entire process so much easier for us! -

Excellent overall experience
DME and Ebs Long were critical to our wonderful wedding event on June 17th. We worked with Ebs for over a year planning the wedding day activities. Ebs approach was professional yet personal to our own needs and ideas. She made vendor suggestions but was not demanding in any way and allowed us to consider all of the options. When we had a venue change six months into the planning she handled it professionally and kept us focused on new options and all the possibilities. Ebs never wavered and always kept us on track with decision making and encouragement. We could always count on Ebs' up beat approach and positive attitude during our planning calls. To us, DME's value or cost was invaluable. Ebs made it fun, stress free and allowed us to enjoy the wedding day festivities without worry. Don't think twice, hire her. It will be your best decision.

Our dream wedding
Planning a wedding out of the state can be hard but with Ebs I felt so confident that everything would go perfectly! Ebs was so sweet and nice to work with. She made me think about little details I never would have thought about and logistics of transportation and rentals that never crossed my mind. I felt like she always really listened to me and heard all the details that were special to me. Leading up to the wedding I wasn’t worried at all about how the day would go or about how everything looked; I just got to be excited to finally marry my best friend! And that is such a joy to have on your wedding day to not have to worry about anything else. Ebs made sure to get us perfect vendors to match our style. And Natalie was absolutely amazing on our wedding day making sure everything me and Ebs had planned actually came true! And holy cow did it! I was blown away with how everything came together. Me and Lucas had such an amazing day, exactly how we always dreamed of it (ceremony in the mountains in the morning, skiing in the afternoon, and a long relaxing delicious dinner). I never could of made our dream wedding a reality planning it myself. Ebs and Natalie you both rock! Thank you! -

Ebs is AMAZING!
We started talking to her about 2 years before our wedding. We had no idea what we truly wanted, but she had a TON of great ideas. Since we were having a wedding in CO, but we live in MN she helped us schedule site visits for our visit in early July. Unfortunately, due to COVID, we didn't get to meet her in person, but she was always available if we needed help. She has suggestions for venues, bakeries, private homes, DJ's... anything and EVERYTHING!
We loved how reasonably priced her services were. Ebs was willing to set up a payment plan with us to help ensure we got everything we wanted. She was willing to do everything in her power to make sure we got everything we needed for our wedding and ensure our day was perfect.
We would HIGHLY recommend Ebs for your wedding! She was willing to go above and beyond before we even signed a contract or put down a payment.

Our wedding was perfect!
I would highly recommend Distinctive Mountain Events to any bride! I originally planned to not have any coordination services until a friend suggested it. Thank goodness she did and thank goodness we found Distinctive Mountain Events! We had the weekend of coordination and our wedding coordinator was Jackie who was absolutely amazing. From the details meeting to the rehearsal to the actual wedding day, Jackie kept everyone on schedule and kept the events of the day running like a well oiled machine! Every moment of the day was perfectly timed but we never felt rushed, Jackie kept everything so smooth and we would not have been able to enjoy our wedding day without her! She was able to translate our vision perfectly and also kept all our vendors on schedule (including the wait staff!). We were really so impressed and so thankful for her. My husband and I were married July 12, 2019 at the Ski Tip Lodge. When we began planning our mountain wedding, living in Denver, we knew we would need a wedding planner. The first thing that intrigued me about DME was their connection to the community and the smaller companies that they do business with. They are on first name basis with all of their vendors from the owners down to the servers. Then I met Johnna and Ebs and I can understand why every one loves them so much. They are personable, dynamic and you kind of just want to be their best friend! We chose to go with the full package because we both work full time and wouldn't be able to make the wedding of our dreams come true without a little help. They were the perfect choice! They took our ideas and made them a reality. They gave us the most magical and beautiful wedding that was straight out of magazine (I might be a little biased). On the day of I had nothing to worry about except marring my man and getting to be with all of our friends and family. I had zero worries or anxieties, but instead had the best day of my life thanks to Johnna and Ebs. -

Having Distinctive Mountain Events help plan our wedding was by far the best decision we made throughout the whole process! From the day we met Ebs we knew she would help make our wedding day absolutely perfect and take away all the stress of planning so we could fully enjoy the process. Leading up to the wedding, Ebs was so helpful in finding the vendors that were a perfect fit for us (every vendor was chose was PUMPED to be working with Ebs, too!), she answered all questions and concerns, and made sure we had everything in place so our wedding would go off without a hitch. She was the most fun, calming and enjoyable person to work with!!! Our big Day was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND UNFORGETTABLE and I give most of the credit to Ebs! Our wedding was more magical than we could have imagined because she took care of EVERYTHING allowing us to fully take in and embrace our wedding from start to finish.
If you’re even contemplating getting a wedding planner...DO IT! Hire Ebs and Distintive Moutain Events and give yourself the best gift ever for your wedding! -
Allison Sent on 06/28/2018Ebs was an absolute delight to work with. I used her as a day of planner, and she tied up all of the loose ends that I hadn’t thought about and took care of any problems that arose the day of the wedding. She was thorough and captured the essence of the wedding that I dreamed of. Even more difficult, she kept my wedding on time - no small feat - and everything flowed so smoothly. I wish I had used her for planning the entire wedding, but at the very minimum would say that using Distinctive Mountain Events for the day of the wedding was priceless. I would urge anyone I know to work with them. SO worth it.

Jordan Sent on 03/05/2018Johnna and Emily were a pleasure to work with for coordinating our winter wedding. With all of the variables that can happen during a winter wedding, it was so nice to have an organized and friendly coordinator to make our wedding day so perfect. Even though DME is based in Breckenridge, Johnna was able to come down to Denver before the wedding to talk over our plans and expectations for the big day. Johnna took the reigns as we approached the wedding day and started communicating with all of our vendors and prepared a timeline to keep everyone organized. When little logistical fires occurred, Johnna was able to quench them quickly keeping our vision in mind. DME also helped setup our decor for the wedding and helped make everything looked organized and perfect. The girls at Distinctive Mountain Events are the sweetest and we highly recommended them to any couple looking in Summit County.

Ashley Sent on 11/16/2017When my husband and I and chose to host a destination wedding in Breckenridge we knew we had to have the right destination planners. What we received with Johnna and Ebs, was simply the best. These two are on their game and yes, worth every penny! (Even my husband agreed and you know how men are during the wedding process ladies! ;)!)
Johnna did a fantastic job working with us during the planning process, especially with me. During the planning period my work schedule was extremely hectic. Our conference calls never ran smoothly as planned due to interruptions, last minute cancellations, long holds, or cut short- all due to ME! Johnna was so patient, understanding and flexible the whole time. Johnna did an amazing job helping with communication with our vendors and keeping us on track with our timeline. Most importantly she has an amazing personality, never overbearing as I picture some planners to be, so that made it very easy to work with her.
Ebs was our day of planner and she was just as amazing! Mike and I were having our ceremony outside on the deck at the Lodge at Breckenridge. Let me tell you, we had the craziest wedding day weather ever. There was sun, clouds, rainbows, wind, a bit of heavy rain (that of course was starting at 4pm ceremony time) and then the icing on the cake, the first winter snow. Ebs did a TRULY amazing job keeping me as cool, calm and collective (as I could be!) while waiting to see if getting married on the deck could happen or if we had to move it indoors. She was so on top of her game, organized and ready for any last minute decisions we made. But most important, she helped persuade me to have the ceremony outside on that deck as planned and it turned out to be the best decision ever. Mike and I got married in the snow fall and it couldn’t have been more perfect. It was truly magical and the best day ever. We love you guys!

Mumta Sent on 10/11/2016Johnna is the best. She helped me organize all my vendors. She worked with me long distance and the day of the wedding, she just made sure everything was how I wanted it. It was literally that easy. She is so sweet and pleasant to work with and FUN. This is definitely a wonderful team to work with when planning your wedding. Thank you Distinctive Mountain Events!
