From the moment we met Evalyn and her team, we knew Dish Food & Events was the company for us and our wedding. From our initial meetings all the way through until the last moments of our wedding day, they knocked it out of the park! My husband and I had a vision when planning our wedding that we wanted to incorporate both our cultures and personalities into the food and drinks we served our guests... This was not as easy as we thought it would be, mainly because of the million-and-one ideas we had. Sitting down with Evalyn helped to put all those details on a plate or in our drinks. The team came up with creative ways to present our vision to our guests that matched everything else we had in our plans, from custom passed appetizers to THE BEST SHORT RIB MOLE we had ever had, and to top it off, the service she and the team provided the day of the event was unmatched. Their attention to detail made all the special details come across all the more wonderful and enjoyable. If you need not only your wedding but also any other event, I would recommend Evalyn again and again. People always say, When you know, you know, " and from the very beginning, in meeting the team, we knew they would be the ones to execute, and execute they did. Thank you again and again, Evalyn and her team, for making our special day all the more special! -

Evalyn, Alexa & AJ put together a delicious wedding for us. Their efforts went far beyond catering coordination. Everything from the first consultation call, to the tasting, and finally the wedding, was meticulous. Every question we had was addressed, and every change we asked for was done. Dish absolutely CRUSHED it at our wedding in the Upper East Side. Words cannot begin describe how appreciative we are. The team made our wedding so incredibly special and our guests absolutely raved about the food and bar. Seriously. The entire team at Dish was so core to our wedding guest experience and they made ZERO mistakes and made over ONE MILLION perfect decisions. All of the servers were key party ambassadors from start to finish, and we are so so so so so so grateful. People couldn't stop talking about how joyful and prompt the service was and how all of the servers were SO incredibly nice and helpful. We cannot say enough great things about them.
We knew that our wedding would be a great time, but still we were absolutely blown away and our expectations were alarmingly exceeded. We cannot think of enough compliments to give not just Evalyn and Ashlyn, but the ENTIRE Dish team (the chef, the prep cooks, the porters, the servers). My husband and I feel that we only saw a very small sliver of the team's very hard work and care that was put into our wedding. The results were perfect... It felt so personal, so joyful, and so professional. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect because of each person's care and effort. -

We worked with Dish to host a cocktail party style wedding for 130 guests in Red Hook in Brooklyn. We really appreciated working with the team at DISH. Michael and Julianna guided us through a very smooth process to refine our wedding format from start to finish. They were very thoughtful with not only the food but also the coordination for our wedding. We had tray passed hor d'oeuvres from DISH which were delicious. The team was so supportive and great! -

From the wonderful experience we had at our tasting throughout a year of communicating back and forth about menu choices and rentals, working with Dish Food Events was a pleasure ! The night of our daughter’s wedding the cocktail hour hors doevres and reception meals were delicious and plentiful. The waitstaff was very professional and all our guests said how great the food was. Michael and his team at Dish were incredible from start to finish. We are both big foodies and really wanted our guests to be able to enjoy the food at our wedding and Dish did not disappoint. In our first tasting Michael made us feel so at ease, wedding planning didn’t feel like a chore, we were able to enjoy the experience and have fun. We were accompanied to pick out our rentals and the team made us feel like we were supported throughout. The day after our wedding, so many of our guests made a point of calling out how delicious the food was. We are in awe of how Dish pulls off events on such a large scale without compromising on flavor. We could not recommend Dish as a vendor enough. They were also kind enough to recommend a wedding planner in Arch Events who could not have done a better job. If you want amazing food at your wedding and to work with the kindest team, pick Dish! -

Absolutely INCREDIBLE experience with Dish!
Dish is AMAZING. They catered our wedding celebration in May 2024, and we are absolutely overjoyed that we chose them - and specifically that we got to work with Julianna and Michael! My husband and I eloped, and planned this celebration a year later for 80 friends. Dish understood our "vision" of the night from the start - we wanted a relaxed and fun evening, with all of our favorite people and things. They made our favorite foods as the mains (tacos and pasta), with delicious and beautiful hors d'oeuvres, and sooo many incredible sides (the adorable cups of Caesar salad were a huge hit!). The food was absolutely perfect - we had so many unprompted compliments from our guests about the food throughout the night. Including our Nova Scotian friends absolutely loving the lobster rolls, and they would have been the harshest critics! Everything was somehow even more delicious than it was at the tasting. We also had a few gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free guests, and Dish had no problem either adapting or adding options to the dishes to ensure that there would be enough to eat for all the dietary preferences we threw at them! Julianna even made gorgeous signs (to match our wedding website!) that accompanied each food item to ensure no dietary mishaps.
We heard rave reviews from our guests about the bartenders and servers, and all the staff were so happy and personable. We have no idea how they managed to pull off so much behind the scenes while literally everyone seemed so cheerful, calm, and professional all night long. My husband and I were truly free to enjoy ourselves and be with our friends without a single thought to logistics, and there are no words for how much that meant to us. Extra thanks to Stella as well, our amazing night-of captain!
Beyond the delicious food, the entire experience working with Dish was full of incredible surprises that show just how thoughtful, prepared, and seriously GREAT AT THIS they are. From the moment we walked into the tasting (January 2024) and they had set up the Lobster and Rose cart as an extra surprise, until the very end of the event when they presented us with a tote bag full of thoughtfully and carefully packed containers with some of almost every single dish. They knew, even before we did, that leftovers are one of the best ways to relive the magic!
Julianna was truly a godsend every step of the way - menu choices; floor planning; advice on everything - rentals, furniture, DJ; brainstorming ways to make our poutine dreams come true; never forgetting a single detail mentioned in any interaction; and so, so much more. More than that - she did it all with SO much support and thoughtfulness. Dish felt like so much more than a caterer, they were genuinely partners in planning the wedding celebration of our dreams. We sincerely hope that there will be an opportunity to work with Julianna and Michael in the future - thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! -

Dish was absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding! Beyond catering, Dish also coordinated all of our venue rentals, helping bring our tablescapes to life within a blank space. I do not know where I would have been without Michael’s help throughout our entire planning process! From acting as a sounding board from the beginning while chatting through budget and guest count, Michael was beyond helpful in working with us to understand exactly how we could achieve our dream hosting experience, while making great recommendations on best areas to scale back in order to stay within our budget without making any major sacrifices. Michael walked us through the rental showroom assisting with design recommendations all while keeping us in check on spend, in addition to hosting such a fun and intimate tasting experience leading up to our wedding. Dish’s amazing team knocked it out of the park on the big day, from the food and presentation to overall service and care for our guests throughout the entire evening. The best part is still having our guests rave about our food to this day – including our tray-passed espresso martini surprise-desserts, per Michael’s on-point recommendation. The arugula salads also were the stars of our tablescape photos! -

I cannot recommend Evalyn and the team at Dish Foods highly enough. From the moment we first spoke to Evalyn about catering our wedding, she was incredibly helpful, attentive, and calm. She was absolutely instrumental in helping bring our wedding vision to life.
Throughout the entire planning process, Evalyn was super responsive, communicative, and always had helpful ideas and recommendations to offer. She made the entire experience so much easier and less stressful, and she went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect (from floor plan, to timeline, to day of execution, you name it) was flawless.
On the day of the wedding, Evalyn and her team were an absolute dream to work with. They were professional, courteous, and worked tirelessly to make sure that everything ran smoothly. Our guests were blown away by the food, which was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. We literally had people coming up to us throughout the night saying how great the food was as well as how attentive the staff was.
Overall, I cannot thank Evalyn and Dish Foods enough for helping to make our wedding day so special. We were so fortunate to work with a team that we trusted from beginning to end. An absolute dream to work with!!!
We cannot thank Dish enough for the most incredible, magical wedding! It was everything we wanted and more. I felt that the day went so smoothly and we had the absolute time of our lives. I am still recovering, lol. We have gotten endless compliments on the food and drinks, and the staff. My dad specifically was highly impressed with every single person on staff!
They were so adaptable to all of our GLUTEN FREE and VEGAN requests. The food was incredible and every guest had delicious food they could eat!
Evalyn was an absolute dream to work with and I would not have survived the wedding planning process without her! -

The one thing my now-husband and I agreed on fairly quickly in the wedding planning process is that food was our top priority. We both come from different backgrounds and wanted a vendor that could blend our cultures and provide elevated food that reflected us. Dish happened at the most perfect time – we were at our very first venue open house with nothing planned thus far and met with Evalyn during the peak of the pandemic (July 2020). She was so warm and engaging and the food at the open house looked amazing (we had to take it home because, pandemic). We came home, warmed everything up and were BLOWN AWAY by how good everything was! We’ve been to many weddings over the years and wedding food is always so mediocre, so to meet the very first vendor that totally upends the stereotype was mind blowing to us. We kept Evalyn in mind as we made some other major wedding decisions (mostly our venue and planner) before getting back to her. Our planner has worked with Dish and Evalyn, so we knew we were in good hands. From our very first tasting of our custom fusion menu, we knew Dish was our caterer. We met with Evalyn and Ryan and were totally blown away by both the food and hospitality! We planned our wedding over the course of two years and Evalyn always graciously answered our questions even when our wedding seemed so far off. When the time came to make rental and food decisions, Evalyn was an expert at curating everything for us based on our tastes and making the whole process as easy as possible. When we asked for another tasting before making our final decisions, she made sure we were able to come in to make our decisions two weeks out. The day of the wedding, everything was beyond perfect! As soon as our ceremony was over, Evalyn had our signature cocktails ready for us. All of our guests were raving about the food, from cocktail hour to dinner, and the service. I am seriously not kidding, we are still getting people raving about the food weeks later. This was exactly what we wanted! A custom, fusion menu that reflected us as a couple but was also delicious and was not “typical” wedding food. More importantly, Evalyn and the Dish team were there for every minute of the journey and were BEYOND all of our expectations. I hope we have many more occasions in our futures where we can cater with Dish! We are so lucky to have worked with Dish and to have them knock out one of the most important elements of our wedding day. -

Our expectations were not only met by Dish but they far exceeded what we thought was even possible. We received more compliments on the food than we can count - especially with crowd favourites like the chicken & waffle cone and pigs in a blanket. Typical wedding catering “is average at best” but the Dish team - led by our event producer Ashlyn Rothenberg - just killed it and our guests made that known. Our “Simbar” (named after our rescue dog Simba) was also a huge hit and it is due in no small part to the fun bartenders who stationed that for us.
We really couldn’t have asked for a better team. We truly felt like we were in the industry’s best hands. They quelled all our fears and anxieties every step of the way - and handled god-knows-what fires behind the scenes on the day - so suffice it to say we owe the success of the wedding to whole Dish team.
We are grateful beyond measure to the them for being such great partners throughout this whole process making it as smooth and as easy as can be - for anyone still looking for a caterer, Dish is who you need! -

My husband and I could not recommend Dish Food and Events enough. Not only was the food at our wedding absolutely OUTSTANDING, only confirmed by numerous guests asking us, "Who catered your wedding?!?", but the experience in working with Evalyn at Dish was actually so incredibly enjoyable, comfortable, and FUN! When choosing a caterer for our wedding, we were looking somewhat blindly and the thing that attracted us to Dish immediately was their customer service. From day one Evalyn got on the phone with us and created a relationship- that really mattered. Dish was incredibly responsive and helpful every step of the process from choosing main courses, to tweaking our cocktail hour choices numerous times (we nailed it !), to just chatting about general ideas, we could not be happier with the outcome. The coolest thing was that Evalyn became such an integral part of our wedding planning experience and always made things easier for us, which was always appreciated. She was out go-to the whole time. The work and professionalism of the whole team on our wedding day was also outstanding- they kept the food comin' all night long! Once I got to speak with Michael Guadagno for the first time on the phone, it was done. After researching and also speaking with many (and I mean MANY) catering companies, it was so refreshing to speak with someone who actually seemed to care about us as a couple, wanting to understand our story, more than "what's your budget, how many people, plated or buffet, etc." Michael asked questions and took the time to connect with us, and trust me, it's SO important to love the people that you'll be working with - Dish remained so accessible, accommodating, and professional from start to finish. Michael guided us with honest and helpful recommendations and advice. He was never pushy, genuinely cared about our concerns and questions, and allowed us to share with him our vision and he helped to execute everything on the day of flawlessly for all of our guests. And the food!!! We had SO many people come up to us on the day of our wedding raving about the food. And you know how they say on the day of the wedding, you're so busy you don't even remember what you ate or drank? Well, we remember the food and what we ate, because we ate everything, and we enjoyed everything on our plate thoroughly! Our wedding was at 501 Union in December of 2021. Michael was outstanding! He was attentive, understanding and passionate about our big day. Hands down BEST caterer for our wedding
Absolutely recommend Dish Food & Events LLC for your wedding/event needs. Heather and the team went above and beyond in every aspect of our big day. The quality of service and food was exquisite. Between tastings, picking out table settings in the showroom, site visits, etc.. we felt confident that we were in great hands! They were extremely communicative, patient and kind. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect thanks to Michael, Alyson and the team at Dish! When our original 2020 wedding date was postponed due to COVID, we made the decision to pivot to a new venue where we could safely celebrate outside. This meant we needed to basically start over to find a caterer, rentals, coordinator - all 5 months before our big day. We came across Michael and the team at Dish (who came highly recommended from our new venue) and quite literally looked no further. From our initial phone conversation, we knew we would be in great hands. All communications were quick and thorough and Michael never had any issue answering our many questions.
Our tasting in Brooklyn with Michael was great. Every bite was delicious - which made it harder to make decisions for our final menu. What we did decide on was amazing! Everything was a huge hit among of our guests, many let us know after the fact that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. And I am still dreaming of the tuna poke lettuce cup from cocktail hour! One thing we had expressed concerns about was managing our open bar and any traffic or long waits to get a drink (as this had happened to us at other weddings). The bartenders were excellent and kept the drinks flowing and everyone VERY happy.
We are both very detail-oriented perfectionists and had a very specific vision for the flow of our wedding day. We couldn't have felt more comfortable leaving everything to Michael and Alyson who truly executed everything flawlessly. They checked in and attended to us and our families while getting ready / throughout the wedding and made sure we always had a drink or food or really anything we needed. If you are considering adding on a Day-Of-Coordinator, do it! Alyson truly went above and beyond and was with us until the very last minute of the day. From re-applying lipstick, managing other vendors, packing up all of our belongings, and just generally keeping the party flow going - she did it all and it made a huge difference for us knowing she had everything under control.
We can not say enough good things about Michael and the full team at Dish. You will absolutely not regret working with them. And we already wish we had another party to plan so we could work with them again! -

We had an excellent experience working with Dish Food & Events for our wedding. Heather Levine was our Day of Coordinator and helped us plan everything. From our very first phone conversation to the day of the wedding, she was always incredibly helpful, responsive, and went out of her way to make sure we were happy with everything. Due to the pandemic, we had to have our first tasting delivered to our home. Despite having to heat up the food ourselves, we were blown away by how delicious the food was. Luckily we were able to have our second tasting in person and had a great experience.
On the wedding day, the Dish staff did an amazing job with the setup and catering service (cocktail hour, plated dinner, cake, and passed desserts). Many of our guests commented on how delicious the food was and how the whole event flowed seamlessly. We attribute a huge part of our successful wedding to Dish and our wonderful Day of Coordinator, Heather. Highly recommend! -

DISH was one of our best vendors for our wedding day and we were so glad to have hired them for drinks and heavy appetizers for our 40 person reception. Evalyn was incredible to work with from start to finish— from our tasting through the reception, she and her team executed our event flawlessly. The flatbreads and antipasti table were delicious, and the drink selection was outstanding. Our guests raved about the service as well; the staff were so seamless in presenting and clearing the food and drink, it really made the whole night flawless. We ended up working with Dish after they acquired Naturally Delicious during the pandemic and we could not have been happier with the results! We ended up doing a Cuban-inspired menu that they executed flawlessly and we got many compliments on the food! They also handled a last-minute emergency change to our dessert plan that ended up being more fun and memorable than what was originally supposed to happen. From the moment we started working with Dish about a year before our wedding, everything was amazing. We obviously thought the food and presentation were great when we did our tasting, but the reason we ultimately went with Dish was Evalyn. We cannot express how comfortable she made us feel throughout the entire process and how much of an amazing asset she was to my husband and I from the very beginning. In short - she is wonderful and I can't say any more effusively how much we enjoyed working with her and how her touch was perfect. We felt like we were truly being taken care of by a close friend with Evalyn. She answered any and every question promptly and really helped to make our vision of the wedding come to life. Excellent overall experience!!
We had an excellent experience with Dish! Michael was incredibly responsive and so calm in all the chaos involved in a wedding which gave us a ton of reassurance that everything was going to go well. Michael didn’t pressure us to go beyond our budget and provided excellent advice on aesthetics when it came to choosing our rentals from Broadway. Our table settings and decorations throughout the venue was set up even better than we could have imagined. If you have the pleasure to work with Michael, you can rest assure that everything will go swimmingly!! Our wedding went well because of the direction from this coordination team!
The hor d’eourves were masterful. Every item chosen was memorable and delicious — the chicken and waffle cones and pork belly buns are to die for!!! The chef’s recommendations through and through were excellent.
Overall, we would definitely recommend Dish Food to anyone for both their catering and event coordination services. You wont regret it!! -

We had a wonderful experience working with Michael and the whole team from Dish! The food was amazing and the service was impeccable. We had an intimate wedding in our family home in Brooklyn, and the entire Dish team impressed us from the start. We had a lovely and relaxed tasting at their Brooklyn location, during which Michael explained all of the ways they could customize the menu depending on our (and our guests') preferences and dietary restrictions. On the day of the wedding, they were exceptionally professional, neat, and conscientious in our home and with my mother's kitchen/china. They were attentive throughout the evening and left the space spotless. Several relatives made a point of telling my parents how much they appreciated the way the Dish servers took care of everyone. We highly recommend using Dish for your wedding or event! -

If you are a bride looking to get married in NYC or Brooklyn, you are probably trying to a find a caterer that fits your food preferences and most importantly, your budget. Well this review is to help you look no further. We chose Dish Food & Events not only because the food was absolutely delicious, but they provided price points that worked for our budget and our vision. The fact that dessert bites and coffee were included without extra cost was honestly a major win for us, especially since we were doing an ice-cream truck which we wanted to be the main event. We chose to do a plated meal which is the more expensive end of their offerings, but we had a micro wedding so in the end it netted out perfectly in our budget. Dish provides lots of price point options so even if you are having a wedding of 100+ people, there is a way to do it without breaking your bank and still getting amazing food and service.
Evalyn, our main point of contact at Dish, from day one was incredible to work with. She was so responsive and helped provide guidance and feedback on things like rentals and food customizations. Day of on our wedding day we didn't have to worry about a thing, and her team even put together a plate of hors d'oeuvres for us in a dressing room so we could have a private moment together after the ceremony. The serving staff was so attentive to our guests and always made sure people had what they needed. I promise you will not regret booking Dish Food & Events for your special event, it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and am so happy with how everything turned out! -

We were absolutely head over heels in love with Dish from the moment we had our first tasting! Evalyn worked with us to create a tasting menu that fit both of our appetites! We sadly fell victim to the pandemic and had to move our original wedding date, but Evalyn was there every step of the way. She was timely with communication, helpful and overall reassuring during a time of such uncertainty! Deciding to still have our wedding during a pandemic left us feeling like something may go wrong or that our who vision wouldn’t come to fruition. Fast forward to finally making it to our wedding day, Evalyn, along with Lauren, who were so lucky to have as our Day-of Coordinator, absolutely KILLED IT and made our dreams come true! Even though the day was a whirlwind, every touch and every taste was just what we had hoped they would be! While I know I will not be getting married again any time soon (haha), I hope I either have a reason to work with Dish again or have the opportunity attend an event they are catering and hosting! 20/10, would recommend to all friends (especially if you get to work with Evalyn and Lauren)!! -

Dish Food & Events blew my expectations out of the water. My fiancé and I were big on trying to have taste testings as we had a micro wedding. Food and presentation was one of the most important things. Let me say....wow. Each dish and the presentation was amazing. I can say without a doubt that the size of your event will not make Dish Food & Events perform less than their best. There was SO much variety in the options and each had their own flavors and uniqueness. As much and my fiancé and I loved what Dish provided, so did our guests! And we had some picky eaters among us. There wasn't one complaint. Narrowing our decision down to Dish Food & Events was not hard at all and I truly believe their work and presentation and overall professionalism will not let anyone down. -

We initially found DISH through our wedding planner. Since our first experience with them, they were meticulous, helpful and efficient. They were so organized and made the process SO EASY for us. There were aspects of the day (table settings etc) which we didn't care too much about, DISH made our lives so much easier by helping us make the most cost-effective and tasteful decisions. They gave us numerous breakdowns for wedding costs and were always prompt with responding to requests/emails.
On the day of the wedding, I didn't even have to think about them! They did everything PERFECTLY. We had a lot of vegetarian/vegan/kosher guests at our wedding and they managed those dietary preferences with ease (it was something I was initially worried about but they managed it from the beginning to end and eased all of my worries).
I cannot recommend DISH enough. They will work with you to create the menu that you want. Initially we wanted to have a Pakistani/American fusion menu. They experimented with Pakistani/Indian dishes for our tasting, something that they didn't even have on their menu! Overall, they are thoughtful and will do anything to make sure your day goes seamlessly.

My husband and I had no idea how to even attempt planning a wedding (and didn't really want to burden either of our families), so before we had our first call with Michael we were really anxious about asking the right questions and deciding what we wanted for our day. After 5 minutes of discussion, Michael had completely put my mind at ease by framing all the upcoming decisions I would have to make and when, what he would take off my plate as far as planning/working with outside vendors, and how to work with him on executing the vision we had for our wedding ceremony and reception. As we moved through the process of planning over the following year, he/his team provided detailed outlines of everything happening throughout our day and structured timelines I never knew I needed (but absolutely did). When we had a sudden change of venue, Michael was the one who actually suggested The Bordone LIC (where we ended up getting married!) and without him we wouldn't have been able to have the wedding we had always wanted.
Michael and everyone else we worked with at Dish Food & Events were amazing to work with from the first time we spoke to the last dance of our wedding night. The food was delicious, everything was executed perfectly, and we couldn't recommend working with someone more. -

Working with Evalyn, Cortney, and the team at Dish was a truly incomparable experience! I had the pleasure of getting to know Dish a few years back at my first job and had told my contact at the time, Bonnie, that I would definitely be back when it was time for me to host my big event - my wedding. After reconnecting with the Dish team, in particular speaking with Evalyn, we couldn't have felt more confident that it was the right fit for our big day. From the personalized menu, to the in house tasting, and the amazing day of coordinator, Cortney, the most important and expensive party we ever threw (and likely ever will) was in the best hands. When any changes or adjustments came up the team was eager to help make our vision come to life. A few weeks before when I wanted to do another itinerary run through, Cortney, was not just game, but so enthusiastic and supportive. As small things came up day of, Evalyn and Cortney were on it and as we were packing up, the whole Dish team helped us pack up and carry out our numerous flower arrangements. We leveraged Dish for both our Wedding Catering (and Brunch) and also our day of coordination. To say we felt celebrated by the team is an understatement. The entire process was led by Dish to really understand our vision from menu to venue and everything in between. Apart from stellar vendor recommendations for all parts of the day, Dish provided a culinary spread that had out guests clamoring to get more.
We hosted a cocktail style wedding, and Dish was instrumental in building the service timeline and providing the energy and flow we needed to pull this off. Our menu was a celebration of our shared cultural cuisines and some more fusion fun. Dish pulled it all off flawlessly.
