Beautiful venue, amazing staff, affordable price!
The second we walked into DiSalvo's, we knew we were going to have our wedding reception there. First of all, Mike (the event coordinator) is AMAZING. If you have your wedding there, Mike truly goes above and beyond for you. He was in constant communication with us in the months leading up to our wedding, he answered all our questions promptly and thoroughly (even on Sunday nights at 11pm!), and was always very kind and patient with us and our families. Whenever we went in for meetings, our tasting, and to set up, Mike was always there and Joey (the owner) checked in on us and treated us so well. The staff is also incredibly kind and helpful. We cannot say enough good things about the people at DiSalvo's!Sent on 01/15/2019
We rented out the whole restaurant for our December wedding, and found we didn't have to do much in the way of decorations--the whole place was already decorated for Christmas with twinkle lights everywhere. It's a unique venue with vintage character, and provided the festive, fun atmosphere we had envisioned. Since there were Christmas parties the Thursday and Friday before our wedding, all we had to do was show Mike and the staff how we wanted everything set up, and they did the rest. It really took a lot of the stress out of setting up for us. We also had a live band--Mike was so helpful ensuring that we had enough space and that everything would be set up correctly.
The day of the wedding, the venue looked amazing and everything went perfectly (minus the fact that we did run out of Miller Lite, but we can't fault DiSalvo's for that--our crew likes to party!). People couldn't stop talking about how good the food was, how cool the venue was, and how much fun they had! Those were the most important things to my fiancé and I in planning our wedding reception, and DiSalvo's gave that to us. If you are looking for a unique venue with great food and people who go above and beyond for you in planning your big day, this is the place!

Our experience was beyond words. The venue was magnificent. Mike was truly a blessing. He was always in touch with us via email. I live 1 hour from the venue and my daughter lives 7 hours away. We would send a question and within an hour we would have our response. He was patient and kind with every single question or concern. His staff was also amazing. Not one guest had a single complaint. The venue is breathtaking. The only decoration we needed was a centerpiece for the tables and I’m sure if we didn’t bring something, it would have been there. The food is outstanding and the price was way under some of the other venues we looked at. I could not of asked for a more calm, enjoyable evening. It was perfect in every way. The actual ceremony took place on the back of the train...fabulous!!!Sent on 11/12/2018

Perfect venue, incredible support!
After my fiance and I got engaged in December 2017, we only visited one potential reception venue--DiSalvo's! Upon stepping inside and meeting with Mike, the Wedding Coordinator, we were certain we had found "the place!"Sent on 10/20/2018
Not only is the setting beautiful, requiring only minimal outside decorations, but the food is incredible! We were shocked to discover how affordable the venue was!
Mike was extremely accommodating and helpful--he alone is worth the cost of the venue! When we came in a few times for meals prior to the wedding, he was kind and attentive to our families, which made them so happy! He always went out of his way to come say hello, and no matter how many emails I sent with questions he answered quickly and patiently.
We came to set up for the reception the Wednesday evening before, and Mike was there to assist. He made the process so smooth, and his vision for how things should be set up was incredible, too! What could have been a stressful night ended up being a lot of fun!
On the day of the wedding, Mike again came through. Despite a few last minute menu change requests/cancelled guests, things were handled perfectly. Mike was patient with all guests, and helped ease tensions when we were late coming from photos off-site for the start of the reception. We believe we were provided a few extra food items in the cocktail hour, too, as a result, which is also amazing! Further, because we had so many out of town guests Mike asked his staff to set up the cookie table for us, which is not normally included, and restocked it throughout the reception. Staff also helped with cleanup, and packed everything up for us to easily pick up the next day. I am thrilled that we chose DiSalvo's--Mike truly made our day special, and I will never forget it. I will recommend them to everyone I know looking for a wedding venue, and look forward to many meals in the restaurant in the future!

DiSalvos is a beautiful unique venue, we had our ceremony and reception there and it was perfect! Mike, the event organizer, was amazing!! He will work with you to make it a perfect night. He kept in constant contact with us during the entire planing process, which made it stress-free. We also had some last-minute changes and he made them without hesitation. The entire staff was terrific!Sent on 08/13/2018
We were married on the back on the train car located inside the venue. Our guests had appetizers following the ceremony while we took pictures then we had a sit-down dinner which included soup (excellent) and salad. Our guests had a choice of Filet, Crab Cakes, or Chicken Romano (majority ordered the filet which was cooked perfectly). Everyone was very happy with everything. We had so many compliments on the venue and food.
The transition from the ceremony to appetizers to dinner to dancing was so smooth. Mike took care of everything. At the end of the night they helped packed up everything and we went back the next morning to get what we needed. After the reception we continued the party downstairs in the Cigar Bar.
Also, highly recommend doing the food tasting, it was a fun night! All the food was so good, it made it hard to decide what to pick! Their attention to detail is incredible.
Very affordable. Many of our guests were out of town so we wanted the ceremony and reception all in one place. Hotels are close by which made it an easy drive. It was exactly what we wanted for our guests. I wouldn’t have changed a thing, we had a great time and so did our guests!!

We were impressed with our whole experience with DiSalvo's -- from beginning to end. The service was exceptional, the food was delicious, and ambience was so romantic! We heard nothing but compliments from all of our guests. There is so much character in the venue that you barely need decorations. The cigar lounge with a pool table was a big hit, as was the opportunity to watch real trains pass on the platform. Mike was a complete pleasure to work with and was very accommodating. All of this PLUS reasonable prices! Definitely a 5-star experience!!Sent on 05/04/2017

Disalvo’s Station is a hidden gem in the little town of Latrobe PA. The banquet space is very unique as it used to be the train station. There is a train car within the space that is a perfect place for a cookie table and for small tables for conversation OR for additional seating. My daughter’s wedding had 125 guests but it could have held more. Michael, the manager and event planner was responsive to our every need during the planning process. His staff is well trained and functioned during the event like a well-oiled machine. Our guests all said they enjoyed the food as well. It was served hot and delicious. If you’re looking for wedding venue different from all the banquet halls and hotel ballrooms, this is your kind of place. Also very affordable versus other venues.Sent on 10/24/2016

My husband and I could not be happier with using DiSalvo's Station as our reception venue. Mike, the even organizer at Disalvo's was fantastic. He was always there to tell us "yes" and support our idea - he even did a specialty appetizer for us! He was also available via email and made time to us to come in and ask questions and decorate when the time came. Mike was very respectful to our parents and made the tasting very special for all of us. All of our vendors were also very well taken care of by Mike and the DiSalvo's staff from planning and setup to dinner. The food at DiSalvo's was also great. We felt like everyone was served each course at the same time and we got a lot of compliments regarding it being "the best meal we've had at a wedding". We thought everything was reasonably priced and were able to do the bar, courses, and desserts we wanted to. I highly recommend using DiSalvo's Station for your wedding or special event. It's a beautiful location, with great food, and a wonderful staff. We will most certainly be back.Sent on 09/01/2016

We got married May 14th and chose to have just our reception at DiSalvo's. The venue itself is very unique, definitely not a run of the mill reception hall or boring hotel. It suited us perfectly. And surprisingly, for a small wedding (70 people), was one of the most affordable options out there. They had awesome food, great service. My only suggestion to them would be to have an additional bartender or two at the reception. There were a couple times I went to the bar and no one was there! And I'm the bride!! Other than that, I have no complaints! I would definitely book them again and again. Mike was amazing to work with from start to finish. He was very personable and even helped us carry boxes of decor to and from our vehicles.Sent on 05/31/2016

My wife and I wanted one location for our wedding and ceremony to simplify planning. DiSalvo's Station delivered wonderfully and affordably. Mike was a pleasure to work with at every step of the planning process, from picking a date to tasting our way through the menu, to planning a last minute rehearsal dinner (in the train car!). He was willing to be as flexible as we needed to accommodate our long-distance scheduling, sometimes on short notice. The food was fantastic. Many of our guests spoke highly of the rehearsal and reception dinners. They were also happy to accommodate vegan or gluten-free needs. The restaurant itself is a diamond in the rough. The charming ambience and decor of garlands and fairy lights set a wonderful atmosphere for the wedding, dancing, and all our photographs. We could not have found a better location or asked for a better service team than DiSalvo's Station Restaurant, and we can't wait to return for our next special dinner.Sent on 05/31/2016

I cannot recommend DiSalvo's highly enough. They were an absolute delight to work with on our wedding reception. They thought of everything and helped with all of the planning to make the night go perfectly. They are experts at what they do. Their food, hospitality and service is unbelievable. I highly recommend them!Sent on 10/07/2015

We had a private birthday party for my wife in the Prima Classa Dining Car. This was so memorable because it is a beautiful, antique train car with fine dining on white table cloths. Feels like stepping back in time and being on the Orient Express Railroad. We have a delicious buffet and abundance of wine. We danced and laughed and made memories. Then enjoyed fine cigars in the downstairs speakeasy Joey D'd cigar bar. Great night that can not have been done anywhere but DiSalvo's.Sent on 03/30/2015

I cannot even begin to express how PERFECT this place was for our reception! It is beautiful, unique and Mike the coordinator is incredible. The prices were also very reasonable. A lot of places in the Latrobe/Ligonier area will nickle and dime you but DiSalvo's does not. They genuinely want you to have a positive experience and a great wedding, which because of them, we definitely did. There is no rental fee, you just pay for your food, alcohol, tax an gratuity. It is very fairly priced and we got several compliments about the food. It was delicious.Sent on 06/28/2014
Mike always answered my (endless) emails quickly and was always accommodating. He took care of the weird allergies of my friends and family without a problem and helped me coordinate everything with the other vendors. The cake is even included here (which is a huge money saver) and Mike worked with me to design the cake I was looking for. There was no problem that Mike didn't work to solve for us to ensure everything went smoothly (and it did!). Everything was beautiful and we're still getting compliments from friends and family saying it was the best wedding they've ever attended.
I cannot say enough positive things about Mike or this venue. If you want a place that is not a typical ballroom hall, has character and cares about you as a person and not a paycheck, this is the place for you.

Mike was so great to work with! He was a great coordinator! The food was excellent and large portions. The guests couldn't stop talking about how great the food was. This venue is unique and intimate. We loved it and so did our guests. The value is also great and Mike works with you to meet any request that you might have.Sent on 12/23/2013

DiSalvo's was the first venue we looked at and we didn't feel the need to look anywhere else. We didn't want a bland banquet hall for our wedding and DiSalvo's is so beautiful and unique. You could walk around that place for hours and not see every cool little detail. Also, my dad works for the railroad and the railroad station charm was perfect for the type of wedding I was planning.Sent on 09/15/2013
The deal was sealed when we met Mike, the event planner. He was incredibly helpful, informative, and did EVERYTHING that we asked, no matter how crazy. A couple of weeks before the wedding my mom was texting/calling/emailing him everyday and he always responded immediately and made sure that he accommodated her wishes.
The day of the wedding everyone was in awe at how beautiful the place was. The dinner was AMAZING and every person that I talked to complimented the food. It was hot and fresh and you could tell you were dining in a restaurant rather than eating mass-produced wedding food. The wait staff was incredibly professional and served and cleaned everything quickly.
I was watching some of my guests after dinner and anyone that wasn't dancing was walking around exploring the restaurant or the super cool cigar bar downstairs. I had to drag the men out of that place, they loved it.
Everyone that I spoke to told me that this was the most fun wedding they have been to. I truly think that the awesome environment that DiSalvo's provided contributed to everyone being engaged and excited from start to finish. This is certainly not a boring event space. It is charming and classy and the perfect place to host a vintage-themed wedding. I wish I could relive my wedding day at DiSalvo's but I love knowing that we will never have to decide where to go to dinner on our anniversary. I will be a customer for life.

DiSalvo's Station was the first and last place that we checked into having our wedding reception. The moment that we walked in, we knew that it would be perfect for us. The train station has such a charm that no banquet hall could ever fill. Everything from the brick walls to the antique signs and train were perfect. Mike V. who helped us along with planning the reception could not have been any nicer or more helpful. You could tell that he really loves his job. The food was absolutely delicious! The menu had so much to choose from, and we were very satisfied with what was served. Everything from when we signed the contract with him up until the day after the wedding when they called to let us know what all we forgot, was a very smooth and pleasant experience. If I had the day to do all over again, we would still choose DiSalvo's Station.Sent on 06/22/2012

We were a very small wedding of 45 guests and at times, we felt we were treated as such. Mike was great to work with in the planning stages of the wedding and throughout. He was very flexible with menu selections and alike. He was great at providing advice on different aspects of the set-up and maximizing use of the space. The venue itself is elegant with a rustic feel, very charming. The Cigar Bar provided an extra element of class and we enjoyed it. The food was very good as expected and a highlight of the wedding. Initially in speaking with Mike, we were able to come in Thursday night, the night before the wedding to set up the venue and do a quick rehearsal. Well, they scheduled another event for Thursday night and was told we couldn't come. Clearly, it was a bigger event and they took the revenue knowing it would negatively impact our wedding. So we did a rehearsal/final walk through on the Sunday before and had to go in early Friday for the set-up. Was is the end of the world? No, but didn't sit well. Next, during the reception time, Mike did a walk through with another group of people. Again, small wedding, less respect. They tried to be subtle & discrete, but not enough as we all noticed it. Multiple times I myself went to the open bar (paid for top shelf) and the bartender was nowhere to be found. Seriously? Finally, they broke the bar down 20 minutes before the end of the paid time, while most of the people were down in the Cigar Bar. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. We had to find someone to ask for a drink and they went to the main bar to make it. I guess I would summarize as saying, while there were some excellent aspects of the event but the ones that were negative really soured our opinion. I would be very cautious of going with Disalvo's for a wedding if you are a small group. Just understand how they operate.Sent on 11/12/2019
