Great team!

Dining Innovations catered the wedding for our daughter and her fiancé at Willow Falls, Hendersonville, in June 2021. Carolyn was wonderful to work with; professional, excellent communicator, and full of great ideas. She went above and beyond, even incorporating a family favorite recipe into the menu. Grilled bruschetta, chicken tenders, and a charcuterie & cheese board started us off, and the dinner menu included seared NY Strip Steak with a delicious wild mushroom demi-glace, and maple-soy glazed salmon. Our Day-Of Coordinator said she’d never worked with such a smooth running, professional catering vendor, and the food was wonderful. Thank you, Carolyn and Team! You helped to make our daughter’s wedding absolutely special!

Great tasting food and amazing service

Caroline from Dining Innovations was sweet, organized and efficient. She arrived to our Airbnb on top of a mountain and set up beautiful charcuterie boards for us all. She had our dinner ready right on time.. the food was hot/fresh and tasty. Great portions. She even packaged up the leftovers for us and cleaned the dinner table when we were finished eating. She made our night perfect! We highly recommend Dining Innovations. Wonderful experience.

Hire Them Now!

From the first email to the post-wedding congratulations, Melanie was amazing to work with! Her energy and kindness made setting up catering the easiest and most fun part of wedding planning. I loved getting emails from her. My husband and I were looking for something different than their standard menu and sent her a couple of example menus from our favorite restaurants in Oaxaca, Mexico to see if something similar would be feasible. The chef LOVED that we wanted something out of the box. He had never made mole before but he knocked it out of the park! The tasting we did with them was mind blowing. We hired them on the spot and never talked with anyone else. When our rehearsal dinner plans fell through, we reached out again and asked if they would cater that too, but this time with a Moroccan theme. We didn't get to try anything before the night of and, man, we could eat that meal every week. If you are looking for something different, they have the imagination and skill to pull it off. If you are looking for something traditional, I have no doubt they would go above and beyond to make it beautiful and exploding with flavor. I cannot speak highly enough about Dining Innovations. They exceeded our expectations TWICE and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Perfect venue for rehearsal party/dinner

Was recommended by wedding planner and was the best choice. Catering manager and staff made the party perfect and food was superb. We could not have been more pleased. Professional and easy to work with. Since I live out of town i was relieved that it was all delicious and exactly what bride and groom expected.

Great experience

We hired Dining Innovations for passed appetizers at our wedding reception. Our guests enjoyed the food, and the catering team was very professional. They were flexible with customizing the menu to account for allergies.

Picking a caterer from 4,600 miles away!

Debbie stepped into her new position one week before my event. My initial concern was unfounded as she connected with me promptly and was both reassuring and helpful in getting everything lined up. The food was delicious which was another concern as I had to pick a caterer while in Hawaii and I knew nothing about any caterers in the Asheville area. They were quick to respond and help me plan our menu. They did NOT disappoint!

Wedding catering

Ivan was such a blast to work with! We sat down for a very fun tasting with our parents and were presented with an impressive spread. Ivan was flexible with our budget. I changed the menu several times and Ivan was always quick to help me figure out what would work with my budget. And he even helped me rebook for my wedding when we had to CANCEL it 3 days beforehand due to a hurricane! He did not have to do this, but they were so understanding and helpful. I would highly recommend them due to they professionalism and creativity. 5 stars! Great food!

Dining innovations was our best vendor. Their food is delicious and the service was so accommodating. Ivan was our go to man, he helped with planning the timeline of our reception, and even met us at our venue months before the wedding to go over the layout of the reception room. His experience came in handy when we were calculating the portions and amount of food to order.

Ivan and his team were just simply amazing. Dining Innovations was one of the recommended vendors through our package with the Inn at Tranquility Farm in Waynesville, NC. After speaking with Ivan, we scheduled a date for my daughter and her fiance, along with myself to travel to N.C. to meet Ivan at their catering location. We previously selected several things to taste ahead of our visit based on our dining package which was a budget of about 75.00 a person.
We did go over that with some items and we added a full open bar.

I can not express how well presented the food was and the quality and taste were amazing. The reception dinner was simply put beautiful. Ivan and his team made the process so easy and he was so much fun and helpful even at the last minute with changes to our bar. They were extremely professional and did not hesitate to help in any way requested.

I hope you will consider Ivan and his team from Dining Innovations in the future for any event needed. They also provided a catered lunch up at the Inn the day of the wedding.

Dinning Innovations was awesome on our big day, and not to mention their food is amazing! Ivan was amazing as well and super responsive to all of my emails and questions! We planned our wedding from over 800 miles away, and Ivan really helped with making me feel comfortable with choosing all of our meal selections. We actually chose to have 4 meal options for our guests and they handled it amazingly, all of our guests continued to compliment how good everything tasted; from the hors d'oeuvres to the plated dinner, everything was perfect!! Highly recommend!!

Dining Innovations catered our Reception Dinner for our October wedding and we are so thrilled they did! The staff was prompt, friendly and attentive and Ivan was easy to work with and responsive. The food was piping hot and DELICIOUS. Our guest couldn’t stop commenting on how good the food was and we would certainly recommend Dining Innovations to all our friends and family. Extremely happy with Dining Innovations! They catered our wedding reception and Welcome Party dinner, and we couldn't have been happier with the quality of service we received. Guests are still raving about the delicious the food and the menu we chose! Ivan was our saving grace as he went above and beyond his call of duty- Not only did he coordinate with our other vendors but he helped us throughout the transition from the ceremony to the reception. He was kind, genuine, and positive- a grounding force for me, my wife, and my parents. They ensured we had all of our leftovers (even delivering large portions to the Doubletree hotel where we were all staying). Ivan showed true leadership for his staff as they were all professional and efficient. There's a reason why Dining Innovations is the #1 preferred vendor for all venues in Asheville. My sister is getting married next year and we will definitely be using their services again!

Dining Innovations!!! Is Amazing!!!Their food is amazing and Ivan is very responsive and accommodating. He created a delicious menu based on not only your tastes but your budget as well. Ivan was very professional and helpful throughout every aspect of the catering process. I cannot say one negative thing about my experience working with Dining Innovations or the food they provide. I highly recommend this caterer for your wedding. My guest have raved about the food now for weeks. The Pork sliders were my favorite:) I also thought it was very kind of Ivan to make a plate for my husband and I. Not only did Ivan go above and beyond by doing this he even packed up the leftovers for us. Ivan is the best!!!!! If you need delicious food stop searching and call Ivan:)

Ivan and the Dining Innovations team were incredible! From the start they helped us with our planning of the reception, down to every detail (we live away from where the reception was held, so this was huge) - even those not related to the catering!! Ivan was super flexible and willing to craft whatever menu we felt matched our style and the experience we wanted for our guests. He also gave us a lot of examples and inspirations to choose from, it felt like a great team effort throughout. During the event the team was also exceptional - ensuring that everything was in place prior to our guests arriving, working proactively with the venue management team to avoid any surprises, and served our guests without missing a beat over the course of the night. So many of our guests commented afterwards about the quality and experience of the food, we were very pleased. Also if you're into brownies we would recommend them - the best we've ever had!!! Would highly recommend Ivan and his team, you won't be disappointed!

Ivan Nazario-Zapata and all of his staff were amazing! Ivan is so much fun to work with and he truly cares about making your wedding day exactly what you want it to be. (We are sad our paths in life probably won't pass again.) From making sure the bride had her favorite fried pickles, to an elegant cheese and fruit spread, to the fabulous meal and mojito bar, everything was just as we dreamed. Dining Innovations' food was delicious. Family and friends have repeatedly said so. Ivan was able to cater to special dietary needs as well as making sure each and every guest had plenty of food and was served in an elegant and convenient way. We would recommend Dining Innovations and Ivan to anyone!!!

We are very happy with choosing Dining Innovations as our wedding caterer. They were very accommodating and able to create an amazing customized menu that was within our budget. They were able to incorporate a prime rib carving station, a seafood ice bar, crab legs, and some incredible appetizers. It was so delicious, my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Ivan was our catering manager and he was so helpful throughout the whole process of putting together the menu, doing the tasting, and coordinating all of the wedding day tasks. He is such a nice, accommodating person and made sure everything was perfect. We will be thinking about our wedding day food and service for years to come and owe it all to Dining Innovations!

Ivan at Dining Innovations was absolutely wonderful to work with! Ivan was pleasant and energetic, he took care of absolutely everything so that I didn't have to think about it, and went above and beyond on providing the best service to us and our guests for our wedding day! Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious! They really worked with us on our budget and provided a reasonable price for our small wedding (unlike another catering company in town who was super snobish). I would recommend working with them if you want a stress-free event!

We used Dining Innovations for our wedding on August 20, 2016. When we originally booked, Sara, was the manager. We received an email a few months before the wedding that a change in management had occurred. Ivan was the new go-to person. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Everything had been set out and planned previously, but he took time to meet with us for a delicious lunch and go over line by line everything we wanted to make sure we were on the same page. He asked lots of questions to make sure he understood our vision for the day.

On the wedding day, everything was wonderful! We had passed hor deourves for cocktail hour, a plated meal, and desserts for a dessert table. We also had lunch platters for the wedding party before the ceremony. The food is DELICIOUS!!!

Another perk is that dining innovations has a liquor license, so we were able to use them for our bar and purchase a per hour bar package. I did not have to worry about purchasing any alcohol before the wedding, which was a large task off my shoulders!

I would recommend dining innovations to any bride! They are wonderful to work with and deliver a great product!

Hey guys! So we used dining innovations for our wedding in may 2016 and couldn't have been any happier with how it went. The company switched managers a couple months before our wedding which had us kinda nervous, but Ivan the new manager contacted me, had us for a private lunch to meet him and show us some options and instantly put us at ease. He was a super nice guy, really professional and knows this business very well. Wedding night went so smooth, Ivan and his team took care of everything, food was great, looked pretty and all that haha, service was very friendly, everyone loved our bartender I think her name was (Joann). He even catered to a few small request regarding some kids we had attending. Thanks alot Ivan!

Dining Innovations is everything you could want in a caterer. My husband and I were planning our wedding from the West Coast and this wonderful team made everything incredibly easy. Not only were they extremely kind, professional, responsive and flexible to our long distance planning, but the food was AMAZING. We consider ourselves huge foodies and Dining Innovations delivered incredibly delicious and unique food (the chicken stuff with brie is to die for). Thank you so much Dining Innovations! In a family with some challenging food allergies, Dining Innovations rose to the challenge and did a wonderful job of catering our wedding.

We worked closely with Sara leading up to the wedding and were thrilled to see her at the wedding itself, making sure everything ran smoothly and as planned. Sara even worked with us to make a special grooms cake out of wheels of cheese that she sourced from a local dairy creamery. The groom was so surprised!

We had several guests come up to us throughout the reception and after to tell us how delicious the food was.

We would highly recommend Dining Innovations to cater your next event!

They catered our wedding at Homewood, and we couldn't be happier. The food was wonderful, the presentation was creative and very appealing, and you couldn't ask for a friendlier, more helpful staff. At the eleventh hour (ie: the DAY BEFORE the wedding!) we discovered we couldn't get our special permit liquor license (due entirely to our own oversight), and Dining Innovations bent over backwards to help us. I'd give them ten stars if I could.

We were lucky to have Dining Innovations as our caterer! They were very professional and courteous during our entire wedding process, and even offered a second tasting when they changed chefs a couple of months before our wedding. They worked very hard to bring both the Asian and Southern food themes to life at our wedding, and our guests absolutely LOVED the food. Their presentation is flawless, the food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly.

Chef Dan and Emilie were wonderful to work with preparing for the big day!!! They offered suggestions when needed, were quick to respond to emails, and were extremely helpful in deciding the menu, determining the amount of food and drink needed for the reception, and accomodating the bride and groom in every way! Everyone absolutely loved the appetizers and reception buffet!!! The wait staff were very attentive, circulating and assisting guests as needed during the cocktail hour and dinner. They even brought appetizers to the bridal party and family while the photographer shot photos (without being asked!) There was slight tension when the dinner start time was not communicated to the staff due to a 20 mile backup on the interstate delaying the wedding 45 minutes but other than that, the catering was exceptional! If we had the wedding to plan all over again, we would choose DI again without hesitation!!!

Ivan and his team at our wedding were perfect! They made sure we ate and were happy and our food was to die for! Getting there had a few minor issues with communication and getting prompt emails, I would like to contribute some of that towards the switch in management during our time working with them. However, in the end it was definitely worth it all!

Dining Innovations did a fantastic job for our rehearsal dinner party. We had over 100 guests arrive to beautiful passed hors d'oeuvres and mini-desserts, craft beer and wine. This party was planned long-distance or remotely, so called for good communication skills and a special level of professionalism to insure our confidence throughout the planning process. Sara Brooks, our coordinator, was helpful in facilitating our theme, was flexible and worked to make the event within our budget. The serving staff was particularly pleasant. Having done lots of entertaining and even some catering, I was very specific about what I wanted and was very pleased with the results. This was my first experience hiring a caterer and after thoroughly checking out 5 other recommended caterers in Asheville, we chose Sara Brooks and Dining Innovations. I'm so glad we could see they were the right choice. Excellent job, Dining Innovations!

Great food - alright service

To start off the food for our wedding did turn out great and they were flexible with our menu options. The company itself confuses me a bit. They dont have any reviews posted since 2021 so im not sure if they dont do a lot of business or dont get a lot of feedback. Their response time was typically very slow and it would take over a week to hear back. The servers arrived pretty late the day of and led to a lot of rushing to get everything done in time, but it did get done. The bartenders that were provided made extremely stiff drinks, some stated un-drinkable others of course were fine with it. The overall cost seemed high as well as the amount of staffing required but again that is just my opinion I have no idea. Overall my experience was just okay, food was good but cost and customer service couldve been better.

We were very happy with the planning portion, but we were very disappointed that a large portion of our wedding cake was thrown away. We were also promised leftover food that was not at our venue the next day (as promised), and the venue manager was upset to find that D.I. didn't take all of their garbage with them (this was also promised by them). The venue manager said this was unusual for a catering company. Our wedding planner also had several issues with D.I. The manager in charge of the night also left early without warning. When we called the president of D.I., he promised a call back once this was all resolved, and he never called back. They never resolved the cake issue, which cost us hundreds of dollars.

Thank you for your review and for bringing this situation to our attention. First and foremost, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you, as well as any misunderstanding from our part. We appreciate your compliments about our food and execution during the event, and we are glad to hear that your guests enjoyed our services. We at Dining Innovations, take pride of our services, planning, and friendly/common sense delivery. We would like to share that we did not throw away the leftover pieces of your cake; I checked with all the staff and they assured me that the only part they disposed was the inedible pieces of icing and dowels used to make your cake look so beautiful. We also would like to share that we were happy to take care of the trash from our portion of the event, even though this was not communicated prior to the day of the event. As a response to your call, I went and collected all the trash left behind without any reservation of what or when it was generated. However, per policy we are not responsible for all trash from the venue not involved with our catering services - unless the service is contracted. I am sorry that our staff did not leave any leftover food for you after the event - we assumed total responsibility – and that is why I made sure to communicate to you and the kitchen staff that some food was set aside for you to pick up at your convenience. Even though I did not hear anyone using profanity during your event, I had a conversation of professional language and courtesy. I really enjoyed helping with planning and delivery of a memorable event for you, your family, and your guests.
