AMAZING experience

I had the absolute pleasure of working with the incredibly talented Dianne Rockwell the Cake Lady for our wedding cake, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.

First and foremost, the cake design was absolutely stunning. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The attention to detail and the level of craftsmanship that went into creating our wedding cake left us in awe. Dianne was incredibly accommodating and receptive to our ideas and vision. Her expertise and guidance were invaluable in helping us make decisions about flavors, sizes, and design elements.

She is also a delight to be around. Her warm and pleasant demeanor made every interaction enjoyable. Planning a wedding can be a stressful experience, but her positivity and professionalism put us at ease throughout the entire process.

And let's not forget the most important part—the taste! The cake was not only a visual masterpiece but also a culinary delight. It tasted absolutely amazing. So many of our guests came up to us and raved about how it was the best wedding cake they had ever had. It was a true crowd-pleaser, and we couldn't have been happier with the flavors we chose.

Let them eat cake

For our wedding cake we reached out to Dianne aka the cake lady, and she hit it out of the park. We were able to do a three tiered cake with each tiere being a different flavor. The cake was extremely moist, not too sweet, and had the perfect cake to filling ratio. Also she goes above and beyond be serving cake rounds instead of sheet cake to make your guests feel they are all get a piece of the actual wedding cake.

Beautiful Cake, Incredible Taste!

Birthday Cakes to Wedding Cakes

Dianne used to make my birthday cakes until I was about five-years-old when she began strictly making wedding cakes only. My family waited 21 years to taste Dianne's incredible cakes again. I'm not really a cake person in general, usually at another person's wedding I skip the cake altogether. Dianne's cakes, however, are not to be missed! No matter how intricate or large, it will always be the best cake in the world: incredibly moist with the most delicious frosting! All of our wedding guests made a point to compliment our cake as they were leaving for the night. And can we just talk about her sugar flowers? I had to convince so many people that they weren't real flowers! She is the most talented person I know. Dianne is terrific to work with: she has so many designs and flavors to choose from ,and even took my pinspiration to make my dream wedding cake. I'm going to recommend her for all of my friends' weddings so I don't have to wait for my kids to get married before I can have her cakes again! Side note, I had two cakes: one for my COVID ceremony in 2020 and the second for my reception in 2021. "I'm sorry your wedding plans had to change due to the pandemic?" "Why? I got to have two of Dianne's cakes in a year!"

Must Have!

For years my aunt INSISTED that I hire The Cake Lady for my wedding when the time came and I am SO glad that I did! For starters, Dianne was so accommodating and flexible when our wedding plans changed due to COVID-19. She worked with us and was more than willing to adapt to our smaller wedding and our new plan when the day came. I sent her some photos of our centerpieces and the design she came up with was perfect. She even was able to incorporate a little paw print at my request to symbolize our sweet little puppy who couldn't be at the wedding! Our cake was absolutely beautiful but even more importantly DELICIOUS. We decided on maple walnut cake with a cream cheese filling, and almond cake with a raspberry cream filling and they were both phenomenal. Guests were raving about the cake and there was hardly any maple walnut left at the end of the night. At the morning after brunch, we had requests from guests to put any left over cake out, and it was all gone within minutes. Everyone remarked that it was the best cake they had ever tasted. We already can't wait until our 1st Anniversary to dig back in!

Delicious & Gorgeous Cake

Our wedding venue, Butternut Farm Golf Club, recommended The Cake Lady & I’m so glad we went with her! It was so easy and the cake was beautiful and delicious.
Because we chose our package with the venue to include the cake, picking the cake was really fast & easy. We had 6 design options to pick from & a list of so many flavors to combine. We went with 2 flavors: key lime cake with a raspberry filling for one tier and chocolate chocolate chip with chocolate buttercream. The cake was really good - I had so many friends & family tell me that it was the best wedding cake they had ever had. We had a 3 tier cake to cut & then Dianne made extra rounds so that there would be enough cake for all of our guests (about 150).
I followed the top tier cake freezing instructions to the letter, because of COVID we did unfreeze the top tier at about 6 months to free up some freezer space, but we re-froze 2 slices to enjoy on our one year anniversary. We ate the rest of the cake at 6 months and it was still really delicious (I would not have known the cake was frozen). I would definitely recommend Dianne to everyone - her cake was amazing!

Amazing Cake and it looked Beautiful

We chose Dianne the Cake Lady because it was part of our package at Butternut Farms Golf Club. I was a bit apprehensive about not meeting her, getting to taste flavors, and having limited options design wise. Hope reassured me that her cakes are always amazing and moist. They have worked with Dianne for many years. On our wedding day, I saw our cake and was amazed at how beautiful it turned out. Then when we tasted it. It was by far the best cake either of us had ever had. She also put aside the top layer and gave us instructions on how to freeze it for our first anniversary. We are looking forward to eating that part.

In a word fabulous.

Can not recommend enough. So easy to work with, even from a distance, She traveled 121 miles to deliver the cake for my daughter's wedding. So many flavors to choose from and the best tasting, most moist wedding cake I have ever tasted. Dianne was so easy to work with and had good suggestions which helped us make the final decision on flavors and design, as well as a cake tasting to decide on flavors. That's right, flavors, my daughter ended up with 5 different ones.

So beautiful, so delicious!

Dianne has an amazing reputation in Central Massachusetts for creating the most magical, delicious, gorgeous cakes. She creates the most exquisite David Austin roses, sweet pea blossoms with spiraling tendrils, and subtle colors to mimic nature's beauty. She delivers them and hand-finishes them on-site herself. Growing up, my mom was a wedding planner. She would come home and tell me stories about the ultimate wedding cakes: the best were always created by Dianne. She is so sweet and kind, and right there with you on your vision for the most beautiful cake. Our cake was exquisite, flavors were DELICIOUS and unique. Pistachio cake with mango filling, lemon with raspberry filling. Guests loved it! Can't wait for anniversary slice. (P.S. definitely select one of her cake stands, so beautiful!)

Dianne was absolutely amazing to work with for our wedding cake. Her creativity is unmatched and we could tell right from the start that she just has a passion for cake baking, and truly cares about making a couple's cake vision come to life. When it came to design, we knew we wanted an elegant but simple cake design, and Dianne far exceeded our expectations, the cake was beautiful! At our tasting, we tried several of her cake flavors and all were so delicious! In the end we selected carrot cake with cream cheese filling, almond cake with raspberry filling, and mint chocolate chip cake with chocolate buttercream filling. I will dream about the mint chocolate chip cake for the rest of my life, it was so good! Our guests LOVED it and so did we!! I also worked with Dianne to create a surprise Red Sox themed groom's cake for my husband, and she took every step to not only make sure it was perfect in design, but to also make sure it remained a surprise! Dianne created a dairy free masterpiece!!! Both the bride and groom are lactose intolerant and that wasn't a problem for Dianne. Everyone commented about how good the cake was and said they couldn't tell it was dairy free. The cake was so light and the frosting so good!!!

There are no words in the English language that can possibly capture the deliciousness and beauty of the wedding cake that Dianne Rockwell-The Cake Lady, created for our daughter's wedding on June 25, 2017. It tasted like it was made from the angels above and came from heaven, just for the bride and groom. Everything about it was exquisite. And I know what her secret ingredient is- LOVE! It is obvious that this sweet, kind, gentle woman really cares and loves what she does. Our guest are still talking about the cake. Really the BEST decision will be to have Dianne Rockwell create your wedding cake. She will work with the flavors you want and your wedding budget. When my husband and I were planning our rustic barn wedding we visited several vendors until we found one that was just right. Diane was the first and only cake vendor we had to meet with. We instantly were pleased upon our first consult with her. Diane was listed as a preferred vendor for our wedding venue and I can see why! She responded to my online request for a consult promptly. For our first consult, we reviewed the flavors we would like to try and looked at photos of the beautiful cakes Diane has designed. She was very easy to work with and flexible with design ideas. I showed her some pictures of cakes I had pinned on Pinterest. For our second consult, we tried three different flavors and loved them all so we had 3 different flavored tiers. I sent Diane my cake stand and cake topper and she exceeded my expectations for the rustic cake design. My cake was the one thing my guests really couldn't stop talking about.

Dianne really helped us out with picking the perfect cake. We had the unique obstacle of having multiple people having gluten allergies, including the bride! Dianne sat down with us and gave us some samples, and though she was initially hesitant with her own talent regarding making a gluten-free cake, it was among the best GF cakes we had tasted. She basically walks you through every step of the process, and lets you know what's needed at all times. She also has a massive back-catalog of previous cakes to take inspiration from. She even lends you a cake stand for a small fee to go with the cake if you need it. Highly recommended.

Dianne just did our wedding cake, and it was perfect. Dianne is so wonderful to work with, and she makes amazing cakes! For the cake tasting, she sends you home with little mini cakes that you can share with your family for extra opinions-- we loved that! We chose 2 different flavor combinations: chocolate-raspberry & raspberry and raspberry & lemon. We were told by many guests that the cake was fabulous! We can't say enough about Dianne and her cakes! We had visited many other bakers before finding her and I was disappointed with how inflexible and expensive they were. I had all but given up on having a cake at all (cupcakes or a candy station?) when we found Dianne. Not only was she super flexible and creative to help us stay in budget but she made our perfect design come to life. Once we realized we could have our design within budget I thought, well this won't be the most amazing tasting cake but hey cake is cake right? Was I wrong! HEr cakes are to die for! And she even worked with us to add a flavor not on her list that I had my heart set on.
From start to finish working with Dianne was so stress-free and a breath of fresh air. Our cake was gorgeous, represented us, and stayed within budget to boot. We would highly recommend Dianne to anyone looking for their dream cake and will use her again in the future for other occasions!

Diane was amazing!! From the minute I contacted her she was quick to respond and answered all of my questions. She met with us and we did a tasting very soon after. She was so accommodating as we only wanted a small ceremonial cake. The day of the wedding, I was stunned as to how beautiful our cake was. Every detail we discussed was perfect and and the cake itself was delicious! We had a few friends over the next day and shared some with them... They raved about it!!! I can't say enough wonderful things about Dianne and her beautiful cakes (that are works of art!)
Dianne made our wedding cake, and other than marrying each other, I think her cakes were the part of the wedding we were most excited about. I can't recommend Dianne's cakes enough.
1) There are so many delicious flavors to choose from. We choose lemon cake with raspberry filling, white cake with strawberry filling, and mint chocolate chip (yum!) The is not any additional cost for the flavors, and people are still coming us to up to ask us how they can get more cake.
2) When you go to sample the cake, you get to bring home small cakes for your family etc. to taste the cake as well. This was really appreciated.
3) Dianne is a cake magician. Other bakers that we spoke to said that the intricate designs (such as you would see on tv shows) are made through using fondant (not frosting.) My fiance does not like the taste of fondant, and most bakers said that if we wanted to use buttercream frosting, we could not have a complicated design. Dianne did not have such limits. Using only buttercream frosting, she made a three tier cake including frosting with scroll work design, sugar flowers, a lace design and pearl quilting.
4) Dianne's pricing is very fair and transparent. We also were able to take advantage of having a sheet cake in the kitchen (that was less per slice than the tiered cake) but no one could tell the difference.
5) Dianne herself is a true delight. I am so happy I got to work with her, and have her delicious cake. I can't wait for my next party so I can order one of her cakes again!
6) Dianne delivered the cake to the venue safely in the cake-safe, and I never worried about anything.

We whole heartedly recommend Dianne's cakes for your wedding. They are delicious and beautiful, and she is wonderful to work with.

Diane's cakes are beautiful and they are just as delicious! I loved the decorating she did, but the cake was even better! So moist and flavorful. Everyone enjoyed it! It is going to be hard to save that top layer for a year later ;)

Dianne the Cake Lady was amazing! After reflecting on the wedding, she was one of the best and easiest vendors that we worked with and the cake was an absolute hit both visually and tastefully. Dianne was great with working with us on an unusual cake design and flavor. She ended up making a cardamom cake with mango filling and butter cream icing as well as lemon cake with blueberry filling and butter cream icing. Both were the first desserts gone at the dessert table.

I had an unusual design request with a henna design up the side and an intricate piping design for the top. Dianne executed both absolutely perfectly! I left her to be creative with the henna design and she did even better than what I could have imagined. For the design on top, she copied it to a T. For anybody who is looking for a skilled creative or great transfer artist, Dianne is your gal!

Dianne was also extremely professional and wonderful to work with. Starting with the estimate to sending me the final receipt, Dianne was on top of her work and great at keeping me informed and providing all the information needed. If you want a headache free cake experience, definitely go with The Cake Lady.

Please allow me and my new bride, Ruby Zoe, to share our wedding cake experience with you. Let's just start by saying Ruby is very particular about what she wants, which in our case was a four/five tier cake with buttercream icing and sugared flowers. Just 90 miles north of NYC and within shouting distance of Culinary Institute of America, how difficult can that request be one might ask? Shop around, it ain't easy to find. We called and met with several bakeries only to be informed that the weight of the sugared flowers is just too much to be supported by the buttercream, and that the only option was fondant icing. (or so we were told)

The only catch was Ruby had already found the EXACTLY the cake she wanted, which was buttercream with sugared flowers. The dilemma is that the baker was not in New York, but actually a little closer to the Boston area. I was initially rather incredulous that podunk as New York City may be, one would think it had the talent and resources to produce the cake that Ruby wanted. At Bottom, we could not find a single baker up to the task.

Finally, I got fed up with all the alternatives we were being offered, like fondant icing, or using styrofoam on a few of the layers to give more support for the flowers. Ruby was not at all happy with these alternatives, and all I wanted to do was get her the cake she wanted for our special day. We decided to take a car trip from the Hudson Valley to Worchester area of Massachusets to meet with The Cake Lady, Mrs. Dianne Rockwell. We left our meeting with Dianne confidant and elated that we were going to get the cake that we wanted aesthetically, and that our guests would be impressed with not only the design of the beautiful flowers, but the tiered flavors of the cake. (pistachio with Cocoa icing, Lemon with Raspberry, and Coconut with pineapple) They loved it!!! We even ordered a large enough cake that everyone was able to take a small box home with samplings of the cake.

It was a pleasure to work with Dianne for our wedding cake. My husband and I enjoyed meeting with her to discuss flavors and designs. She had many pictures of the cakes she has made to help with ideas for our own cake, and we were able to sample flavors before making our choices. My husband and I first heard about Dianne “The Cake Lady” because she was on the list of “preferred vendors” that was given to us by Lord Thompson Manor, where we were married. After reading reviews we decided that she was the person we wanted to create our wedding cake. The reviews did not let us down!! Dianne is warm, responsive, and easy to work with. But most importantly, her cakes taste and look amazing. Ever the indecisive bride when it comes to food, we sampled several flavors of cake: chocolate and peanut butter, lemon, almond, strawberry, and red velvet all with a variety of fillings and icings. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. WAS. DECADENT. We ended up going with chocolate cake with a layer of fudge and peanut butter cake for the bottom tier and almond cake with raspberry filling for the top two tiers. The cake itself was stunning. Dianne is a genius when it comes to making sugar flowers. I had stumbled across some images of cake designs that I loved on pinterest and sent them to her. She was able to merge them just the way I had envisioned. The cake truly brought a huge smile to my face when I saw it on my wedding day. All of our guests loved it too! If you choose Dianne, you won’t be disappointed!

It was an absolute peasure working with Diane. She took quality time with me and helped me to design the cake for my Son and his wife's wedding to a perfection. When I wasn't exactly sure about something she was able to guide me to making the right choice and the end result was just beautiful! Not only was the cake made to perfection it was absolutely delicious!
I also selected three different flavors (mint chocolate chip, almond with raspberry filling, and lemon with raspberry filling and everyone who had the cake all loved the flavors.
I would highly recommend Diane to all my family and friends for future events. I am so blessed to have met her and would love to work with her in the future.

Stunning, delicious cake!

Dianne prepared five cakes for us to taste, each more delicious than the last. We ultimately chose the key lime cake with cream cheese filling and neither we nor our guests were disappointed. We were also delighted with the cake's presentation. My husband drafted a design for the cake and she executed it perfectly.

We just ate the top layer for our one year anniversary and it was still a great cake.

We would highly recommend Dianne to create your wedding cake.

Dianne was an absolute joy to work with. She was referred to us by a friend and we were SO glad we decided to go for a consultation. She offers endless flavors and combinations and they are all delicious. We ended up going with two flavors: chocolate PB and white cake with strawberry filling. Both were absolutely delicious and our friends still remember that as a highlight of our wedding. I recall reading her reviews on this site and many people said the same thing - it's definitely true! We can't wait to open up the cake again on our anniversary.

The design process was really easy as well. We knew exactly what we wanted and Dianne brought our cake to life. She was open to our ideas and gave us some great suggestions. Dianne Rockwell- "The Cake Lady" was one of my favorite as well as easiest vendors to work with throughout my wedding planning process. Our cake was absolutely gorgeous and elegant, and turned out perfectly for our wedding day. There really is nothing we would have changed about it! From our first appointment with Dianne where we tried several different flavors (all delicious!), and looked through a bunch of different designs she had to offer, and up until the last appointment where we went over all of the final details and finishing touches, she made it all very easy and comfortable to work with her. I especially appreciated her quick responsiveness to any questions or concerns we had. Her prices were also very reasonable, especially for such detailed and extravagant work. I would highly recommend Dianne to any couple who is looking for a beautifully designed cake that fits their wedding theme as well as personalities perfectly. Dianne is a very talented, artistic, and one-of-a-kind cake designer and I look forward to using her again for furture parties and special events. Dianne was amazing. Our cake was out of this world! The variety of flavors and fillings that Dianne offers is sure to please anyone and every one! We were both amazed at how gorgeous our cake was and how delicious it was. We had a fall theme to our New England wedding so our cake was ombre with yellow at the top, orange in the middle and a rust/gold color for the bottom layer. And then our topper was a spray of painted sugar leaves that Dianne made herself. Everything about our cake was incredible! We are counting down the days until we can thaw the top part for our anniversary! :)

Working with Dianne was fantastic; she is incredibly smart, creative and talented artist. She was recommended to us early on in our wedding planning process and the cake to me was very important. Dianne provided numerous options in flavors, decorating ideas and styles. She has an incredible gallery of photos of previous cakes she has done and she will work with you on creating exactly what you want. I had an idea of what my cake would look like from the sketches but when I walked into the reception room and saw it I was blown away! It was gorgeous and better than I could have imagined. After working very closely with Dianne on the design of our wedding cake for several months prior to the wedding, my wife and I felt very confident with leaving the final design up to Dianne. Boy, were we right!

As soon as we saw the cake at the reception hall, which was during our dance, we were completely blown away and the expression on our faces pretty much said it all as it was recorded on our wedding video.

The price was appropriate due to the amount of work that was put into it.

I will, without question, go to Dianne again when in need of a cake for a special occassion.

Our wedding cake looked absolutely beautiful! Everyone LOVED it. We only had 100 people, but got a 4 tier for 125 and it ended up working out great. People took multiple flavors and came back for seconds and thirds. The little we had leftover we brought to our brunch and the next day, and it went fast. They said it was incredibly moist and delicious.

Dianne is amazing. Just read her reviews here and ask about her anywhere and you will hear great things. I have photographed so many cakes at weddings and heard the feedback on them. This is how I knew that for my wedding - Dianne was my cake lady!!!

She is truly a fabulous person with so much talent! We designed the cake with Dianne when we met with her, and I worried I had NO idea what to choose. She made it easy to talk about what we like and don't like by showing samples and by listening to us. We ended up with a masterpiece! haha!! I seriously never knew how awesome a cake could be until we designed one with Dianne. She took our ideas and transformed it all into the most personalized and beautiful cake I had ever seen. Our guests were stunned when they saw it! It was 20 days ago, and I am STILL hearing about how beautiful and delicious the cake was!!

Dianne is amazing and the cakes are equally as good on the inside as they are beautiful on the outside. I dream of that cherry cake now! I have heard that people who do not usually eat wedding cake LOVED ours! Even people in the wedding industry with us say they don't eat cake, but will eat a Dianne Rockwell cake!

But wait - back to my cake - I can't say enough about it. The three flavors we chose were ALL awesome and were the best cake we had ever eaten. We did freeze a piece for our anniversary, but I have been thinking of raiding the freezer a bit early. :)

Thank you to Dianne for her super talent and also for being such a wonderful person to be around and to create with!! I will be dreaming of how perfect, delicious and gorgeous our wedding cake was!!!

Dianne created a magical cake for our wedding. Our cake traveled from Massachusetts to Virginia in her incredible cake safe, arriving in perfect condition despite several hours in the car. You should feel confident that your cake will arrive at your venue without any issues. The cake was absolutely delicious and our guests still comment that it was the most delicious cake that they had ever had. I believe even some of the catering staff enjoyed some cake as there wasn't as much left over as there should have been! The sugar flowers she made resembled my bouquet beautifully and now are a wonderful memento of our wedding day. My husband and I can't wait until our first anniversary so we can eat our top layer. I highly recommend her to any bride.

Dianne makes AMAZING cakes!!! After having two other friends recommend Dianne to me, I had few hesitations about giving her a call. Once I met with her, I had none! After meeting with Dianne in her home office and discussing our needs and budget, I left feeling 100% confident that I had made the perfect choice for our cake vendor. Dianne is truly sincere in her approach, and her enthusiasm for what she does shows. After our meeting, I found a design I fell in love with, and it was no match for "The Cake Lady." It came out exactly like the picture! Also, Dianne's cakes are not only impecably made, they taste delicious! We had a hard time narrowing down which flavors we wanted because there were so many to choose from.

"I hardly ever eat the cake at weddings...but your cake was amazing!". I heard this comment from literally dozens of guests at my wedding; and I couldn't agree more with them.

Dianne's cakes are delicious and gorgeous to look at. There was no limit to the flavors that we wanted to use (pumpkin, chocolate chip, red velvet and pistachio) and people loved having the option to try 1, 2 or all 4 of the flavors. I will absolutely use Dianne in the future for special events! If you don't believe me, then call her and request a tasting session...her cakes will speak for themselves!

Dianne is wonderful and her cakes are amazing! We had had one of her cakes at a friend’s wedding and remembered it for 2 years until our own wedding. She worked with us from day one to design our perfect cake. I even lost a glove in her driveway and she was nice enough to dry it out and mail it back to me. The tasting was fun and we settled on the mint chocolate chip cake and the white cake with strawberry filling. Everyone (yes, everyone!) at our wedding RAVED about the cake and our engaged friends all asked us for her information. Dianne even made a special small cake for my godmother who is allergic to strawberries so she could have cake without worrying about cross-contamination in the kitchen. Dianne was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend her!

Dianne has the BEST cakes I have ever tasted and it goes along with the best cakes I've ever seen - ours was beautiful - exactly what we asked for and looked even better when done and at such a reasonable price. Her buttercream frostings are the best I've ever tasted - and she doesn't use fondant which was a plus for me. She has by far the most flavors and fillings I've seen anywhere. We fell in love with her mint chocolate chip cake with mocha buttercream - can't wait to have it next year! Everyone loved all the different flavors we had:)

We booked The Cake Lady before we booked any other aspect of our wedding - this is how absolutely fantastic she is!! Cake was very important to my husband and me on our wedding day and we couldn't have been more pleased to work with Dianne to create our perfect wedding cake.

Dianne isn't afraid to experiment with color and design. She worked with us to create our dream wedding cake. She took the time to let us throw out ideas and helped guide us to make it absolutely beautiful. The bonus with working with Dianne is that she has exceptional skill in working with buttercream frosting to the extent that she can make it look absolutely smooth like fondant (but obviously it tastes so much better). She doesn’t just decorate her cakes beautifully, her cakes taste absolutely AMAZING. We sampled quite a few flavors before our wedding and decided on the almond with strawberry filling and key lime with buttercream filling. We talked up our cake so much that we decided to get extra cake so our guests could try each flavor if they wanted to. It was declared the best wedding cake anyone had ever had and there were only a few slices left at the end of the night!!

Dianne outshines all of the other local bakeries (big and small) in the Boston/Central MA area. In terms of taste, quality, attention to detail, and skill, The Cake Lady is the absolute best you can get for your money!!

Dianne is a very talented individual. My wedding cake was included in my wedding package with the venue I chose. I never met Dianne face to face. However, Dianne was always VERY prompt with sending and replying to e-mails and sending samples, arranging for easy pick-up at my wedding venue. I chose the style of my cake through a variety of options presented in a detailed album of her cake creations.
The cake she created on my wedding day was EXACTLY how I had envisioned it, and it tasted wonderful.

To future brides interested in Dianne Rockwell... this is one decision you do not have to second guess. My name is Lauren and my husband, Peter, and I couldn't have been happier with our wedding cake! Working with Dianne Rockwell was a great experience. She was easy to get a hold of, easy to schedule appointments with, and great about getting right back to you. As total food lovers, we knew we would enjoy ordering sample cakes, but we never imagined how difficult it would be to make a final decision... it was all so yummy! When we met with Dianne she was very helpful and a great sounding board for ideas… especially for a bride who was a little all over the place with ideas. She really seemed capable of helping both the most indecisive bride and the knit picky bride (which I think somehow I might have been both of these things at the same time haha). I was really impressed by her photo albums she shared with us to help spark ideas… both for the organization and for her obvious talent in perfecting wedding cakes. It has been six weeks since our wedding and we are still hearing compliments on our wedding cake and how truly beautiful it was. Not only was the cake beautifully decorated but it was absolutely delicious. In fact we had several guests asking for a second piece of cake during the wedding! Since then we have had several people ask where they can get another cake like it. It gave us peace of mind to know that Dianne was making, delivering and setting up our cake and it was one less thing to have to think about with all the nerves, excitement, and busyness of the day. I know I’m rambling on, but one last thing… Dianne was completely receptive to new ideas and went to every measure to make our vision come to life… we had seen these adorable chocolate covered strawberries decorated to look like a bride and groom for a cake topper. Dianne worked her magic to recreate them and they were a huge hit… and even better we devoured them after the wedding! We had complete confidence the day of our wedding and would highly recommend Dianne to anyone!

I read all the reviews for The Cake Lady and I decided we had to try her cake! We actually went to taste cakes at her house twice because there were so many flavors to choose from. We finally decided upon pistachio with cream cheese filling (my favorite ever), carrot with cream cheese, and almond with chocolate buttercream. They were all great and our guests loved them! We did not have much left over, which is a good sign. We have our cake topper in the freezer and I am so tempted to take it out and eat it because it was so great! Dianne is also very sweet and professional. She always responded quickly and has so many pictures that you can get ideas from. She makes buttercream look like fondant, which is hard to do! Dianne Rockwell provided a beautiful and unique cake for my wedding reception that my Husband, guests and I will remember forever! The flavor selection is phenomena! We chose chocolate chip and pistachio as our two flavors and allowed Dianne to surprise us with the flavor that we would cut into the day of the wedding. I felt so confident with her ability to create a beautiful and delicious cake that I never thought twice about worrying. My wedding was in the winter and her winter discount was very cost effective. We had the best time working with Dianne on our cake. I knew I wanted sugar snowflakes and my husband knew he wanted the tiers to look a little different but to remain somewhat classic. We sat down with Dianne, went through her books and picked pictures of cakes we liked. Dianne then drew a picture of the cake for us complete with sparkling wires of snowflakes shooting out the top of it. It was awesome. It was also nice to be able to sample different cakes on multiple occasions and take a small cake home for the rest of the family to sample. It definitely helped to have all of our family know how delicious the cake was going to be. They also got to feel like they were really being included in the process.

I wanted my snowflakes to be varying shades of blues. I gave Dianne a sample of the color of the darkest blue from pantone and let her run with it. It was perfect.

The cake is delish!! Mint chocolate chip was the biggest hit at the wedding. The husband liked the spice with mocha frosting. Everyone is still talking about how good the cake was and I know they were going back for seconds and trying both flavors at the wedding.
I wouldn't change anything about the process. For us working with Dianne was perfect. We planned long distance (from CA) and she was quick to respond via email and always accomodating on our quick trips home to set aside some time to meet.

Dianne was beyond amazing. She made us feel at ease and it was delight to be welcomed into her home. Her attention to detail and her flexible nature made the cake process a breeze. The one things I loved about Dianne was when we had the cake tasting prior to the wedding, she complimented with coffee and tea which made us feel what we hoped our guests would feel, which was deliciousness. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone.

Like everyone else, I have only the highest praises for Dianne. I have never been a big fan of traditional wedding cakes (in my opinion, they are somewhat bland and dry, and don’t even get me started on fondant…), but I loved the taste and texture of Dianne’s cakes from the very first bite. For those who want to go the traditional route, she offers basic white and chocolate, but I think her strength is in the unique flavors she concocts. For our bottom layer, we chose a delicate almond cake with raspberry buttercream filling; for the middle and top layers we chose white cake with blueberry filling. The guests RAVED about how good the cakes were. And as if baking delicious cakes wasn’t enough, Dianne is also a pleasure to work with. To help facilitate the design choice, she has well over 200 photos of her cakes to browse through. She was very patient with me as I sifted through all the pictures, and she listened to me to get a sense of what I liked or didn’t like about particular designs. I felt she gave me very good advice on the design of the cake – I was worried my design would be too “busy”, and she gave me her honest opinion. The final product was gorgeous! She returned all my emails promptly and professionally. I would HIGHLY recommend Dianne to any bride-to-be.

Working with Dianne was a dream! From the very beginning to the end (eating our anniversary tier two months ago), everything has been spectacular. Dianne met twice with me, over copious samples and a binder full of gorgeous cakes of all styles. We chose her because her cakes were far and away the most delicious and moist, but her design work was incredible. She worked intensively with me on every detail to design a custom cake that would be perfect for me. In my case, I wanted lots of elaborate white-on-white scrollwork, but also wanted some kind of focal point. She suggested a white-on-white sugar ornament of some kind, showed me some examples, and I chose a claddagh in honor of my Irish grandmother. The traditional cake and the groom's cake (our college seal) were both gorgeous and delicious. The one thing that may have been an error is that we requested chocolate-raspberry cake with raspberry filling, and I think that our cake was regular chocolate with raspberry filling. However, the cake was spectacular, and she even provided instructions for freezing, storing, and defrosting the top tier that worked perfectly... we ate every bit of it over our anniversary week!

Diane was amazing! She was more than kind and honest. She made me feel very comfortable and was one of my most approachable vendors. Our cake came out amazing!! It was delicious as well as breath taking with the sugar snowflakes and lights. Although our wedding was in the middle of a three day snow storm she still managed to get to the top of that mountain and be on time. My only regret is that I did not get to see her and thank her on the day of the wedding she was in and out so fast. I cannot thank Diane enough for all the support and professionalism she shared with us in preparation and on our wedding day.

Dianne Rockwell Rocks!
We researched dozens of wedding cake vendors and we decided on The Cake Lady, Dianne Rockwell, because we liked the quality, designs, and price of the cakes. When we met Dianne, she was extremely friendly, welcoming, and insightful in helping us with choosing the cake. Upon our request, she baked three different flavors for us to try (pumpkin, maple walnut, and the lemon cakes). The three of them were delicious and we decided to go ahead with signing the contract. One point about our wedding cake is that we wanted to write the Arabic word for “love” on it in a special calligraphic design which we provided for her. On the wedding day, Dianne arrived on time if not even earlier. We were pleasantly surprised at how well the cake and our special design worked out. The cake tasted fresh and we can't wait to eat the top on our first anniversary... but since it was so good, we may eat it sooner if we can't control our impulses! If you are a bride and groom reading this go with The Cake Lady Dianne Rockwell and you will be quite pleased.

Dianne was an absolute pleasure to work with. We met in her Home/Bakery office to discuss our cake. She has many pictures for reference and many pre-constructed items (such as different Flowers and Sizes) to view as well. When it came to color she could match anything. We sent her a Home Depot paint swatch of the color that we wanted a flower to be and it matched perfectly. The best part of Dianne's cakes... The taste. We received many positive remarks from our guest about the cake flavor and design. I was also impressed with her willingness to work with our florist to add some real flowers to the cake. We highly recommend this vendor if you are in the market for any type of cake. The sample cakes she prepared for us were also a very nice touch. The last aspect that we thought was great was her attention to preservation for the top tier. Very detailed instruction were included with the cake. Dianne is amazing! From the first time I emailed her, she's always returned my emails and answered my questions right away. She was flexible with scheduling appointments (I've seen her at 8:15 in the morning and 5:00 in the evening), and she was very helpful with the design and planning process. (She was also amazing enough to run back to her house and pick up my heirloom cake topper, and did this quickly enough that it wasn't missing for a second of the wedding!) Not only was our wedding cake gorgeous (some of our guests took more pictures of the cake than they did of us!), it was DELICIOUS! I actually made a point to sit down and eat a piece of it (not easy as the bride), and the top layer in my freezer is soooo tempting to eat - I don't know if I can wait a whole year! My grandparents are still raving about the cake to all their friends, and trying to figure out how to get one of Dianne's cakes where they live in New York (please note, neither of them should eat cake, but they couldn't put their forks down)! My Uncle, who is quite picky about his desserts, described the cake as "perfect." If I could give Dianne higher than a 5.0 rating, I would. She's really fantastic, and so are her cakes!

Dianne was great to work with. We met with her once to try some flavors, which were delicious. Our second meeting was to design the cake and select specific flavors. We ended up with three different flavors inside of a beautiful cake. The florist coordinated with her to provide fresh flowers for the cake. The cake was delicious and the cake looked awesome. She was the vendor we were the least concerned about because we just trusted her to get it done for us, and she did!

I had a great experience working with Dianne and I am so happy with how my wedding cake turned out. It was beautiful! I really wanted to incorporate my grandmother's cake topper from 1949 and Dianne really took the time to work with me to design a cake that was appropriate for such a vintage piece. She was extremely professional and was in contact with me through the whole process. She had tons of pictures that I could look through for ideas and to help me describe to her my vision for the cake. She also makes beautiful sugar flowers that we got to see during our meetings with her. In addition, she had a variety of cake flavors and allowed us to try many different kinds before we made our selections. The cakes are delicious and we got so many compliments at our wedding on not only how beautiful the cake looked but how great it tasted too! I highly recommend Dianne. From the first time I met with her, I knew she had everything under control and I did not need to stress or worry about anything. I know my husband and I are looking forward to my 1st anniversary so we can eat more of her delicious cake!

We loved working with Dianne from the beginning to the end of the process. My husband brings up The Cake Lady whenever the opportunity arises to think about buying a cake... Dianne handled everything about our wedding cake perfectly. We loved our initial contact with her (so friendly!), our initial visit/tasting (yum!), and the way she made finalizing our cake decisions so easy! Everyone at the wedding loved the cake and the leftovers were devoured by family members. Even though we opted for a simple, elegant cake design that didn't showcase Dianne's magnificent cake decorating talents, we were thrilled with her perfectionism and willingness to please our tastes (aesthetic tastes AND taste buds!!) Dianne was so easy to work with. Our initial phone consultation resulted in many details that I'd never even considered and our first meeting was a fun cake testing (resulting in us getting to take the leftovers home!) :-) Dianne's cakes are FRESH not frozen (I heard horror stories about cakes from other vendors still being frozen in the middle at the time of the wedding).

She was very responsive and easy to reach, and in all honesty, she was the only cake person we met with. Our first meeting was just so easy (and a little overwhelming with all the design & flavor choices) and having looked around for cake prices via the web and other newlyweds, we felt Dianne was fair in her prices and has a passion for her cakes that come through in so many ways. Dianne coordinated with our florist and the venue directly to coordinate flowers on the cake & drop off time--both of which took an extra step off my hands at a very busy time.

Our cake was SO beautiful, and the guests really liked it. We had carrot cake, red velvet, and raspberry lemon--all were a big hit. We also cut our "anniversary cake" in half and put it in the freezer. We had the first half to celebrate our first MONTH anniversary and it was so delicious! We'll do the same again for the 6 month anniversary (I've never heard good things about cakes frozen for an entire year & can hopefully order another from Dianne for our 1 year celebration).

We were very fortunate to find Dianne, and highly recommend her beautiful cakes and easy-to-work-with demeanor. Thanks Dianne!

Dianne is wonderful to work with! She is very patient and listens to what you really want without any pressure. The cake was not only beautiful, it was the BEST wedding cake I have ever tasted! By far working with Dianne was my favorite part of the planning process. She does all the work herself out of her home which was spotless & professional. Her attention to detail, obvious love of her creations and patience during the planning process were very important qualities that she exuded. We had a difficult time deciding on a cake flavor; the solution was simple with Dianne - have multiple flavors. Our guests loved the flavors; we had one tier made out of lemon cake with raspberry filling & two tiers made out of chocolate peanut butter cake with chocolate filling. Don't worry about freshness; Dianne only does wedding cakes and limits the amount that she creates, the result is a fresh beautiful cake. A special touch that we wanted to incorporate onto our wedding cake was to have a battery powered butterfly with moving wings. Dianne took the time to add sugar dust to the butterfly so that the color would blend with the flowers and hid the battery pack inside the cake to make a seamless presentation. Overall a wonderful fun loving individual with a talent for creating edible masterpieces.

I planned a wedding at the Harrington Farm from Cleveland, OH this May. Dianne was a recommendation from another baker in Shrewsbury that I had found online, but was on vacation during my wedding week. It was the best referral ever! Not only was Dianne so easy to work with, but her cake looks and tastes amazing and the flavor variety is so impressive! I couldn't be more pleased with my wedding cake. It was absolutely stunning and exactly how I imagined it. So many of my guests have commented that the cake is the best they've ever had. Dianne had us over to her house for a tasting. I tried three flavors - chocolate chocolate chip, chocolate raspberry and marble with peanut butter filling. They were all SO good, I chose all 3, one for each tier. I also got to take the samples home! Dianne was so friendly and professional and also followed up with me several times through email and telephone. I found that with most of my other vendors, I had to be the one to always follow up with them so I really appreciated this. I can't wait to eat the top tier of my cake on my anniversary! We did three different types of cake for each of the layers (mint chocolate chip, chocolate peanut butter, and carrot) and I can't tell you which one was my favorite - they were all so good! We cannot say enough about Dianne or her amazing work. She is extremely personable and welcoming and it was a true pleasure working with her throughout our wedding process.
She created a custom 4-layer, hexagon-shaped cake with scrolled ivory buttercream. She accented the design with sage and rose colored bordering and handmade sugar orchids, which matched our wedding colors. Everyone (including us when we first saw them!) thought they were real orchids they were so gorgeous. Aside from looking fantastic, Dianne's baking was unbelievably delicious. Each layer of our cake had a unique cake and filling combination, so guests could choose from four options, including: pineapple cake with pineapple filling, chocolate cake with mocha buttercream and cherry filling, lemon cake with raspberry buttercream and raspberry filling and traditional carrot cake. We highly recommend Dianne to anyone looking for an artful, original cake that tastes as good as it looks!

Dianne Rockwell, The Cake Lady made a spectacular cake for our recent wedding celebration!! I planned a tropical theme for a destination wedding in Mexico. Dianne made very realistic palm trees for the top and many shells made of sugar around the bottom of the cake - exactly like I requested.
Not only was the cake beautiful, but it was also yummy. The top layer was lemon poppyseed with rasberry filling and the bottom layer chocolate with rasberry filling.
It was moist and delicious. Everybody loved the cake!!
I would definitely recommend The Cake Lady - she's a talented baker and decorator.

The cake lady made the cake for our New Year's Eve Wedding and it was absolutely perfect! Our four tier square cake was black and white with ribbon around the bottom of each tier. The entire cake was decorated with sugar snowflakes that are each handmade by Dianne. Instead of a cake topper, Dianne made large black sugar snowflakes and suspended them on wires so it would like like they were snowflakes shooting out of the cake. It was honestly the most beautiful cake I have ever seen. It was also the most moist and delicious wedding cake I have ever tasted. We choose several flavors, at no additional cost. Also you can layer two flavors in each tier if you like. We choose the mint chocolate chip and we recieved awesome feedback from our guests about this flavor. My favorite was chocolate and peanut butter layered together. Unfortunately, my venue served all the flavors besides the chocolate peanut butter because we ordered a lot of extra cake. I was quite happy to have an entire tier left for us to eat after the wedding! I also ordered a groom's cake from a different bakery, and while it looked beautiful, it was dry and plain. I would definitely recommend Dianne to any bride searching for her cake baker. She is very friendly and professional, and her cakes are absolutely beautiful and unbelievably delicious. My favorite part of going to a wedding has always been the cake, but now any time I go to a wedding I will compare the cake to the Cake Lady's and I know that no other cake will be even close to how great Dianne's cake is.

Dianne made a spectacular cake for my wedding. We had a blue cake with a cascade of white snowflakes that lit up! And it was delicious. We really wanted carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, and Dianne actually made a new flavor of filling for us. We asked her to mix the mocha and cream cheese fillings and it turned out awesome. Every wedding cake I've had has been really dry, and not very good, but Dianne's cake was super moist. The guests loved it. They couldn't stop talking about how good the cake was. Dianne was also incredibly flexible. I planned my wedding from Japan, and she was great at returning my emails. I would recommend Dianne to anyone that needs a really awesome cake.

Dianne's beautiful creation added to the magic of our day! The design process was an ongoing conversation through which Dianne was imaginative and encouraging. She was so much fun to work with and the final product was fantastic! All of our guests mentioned how fun and beautiful the cake looked and even more how wonderful it tasted! Not one piece was wasted! There was nothing remaining except our anniversary piece, which thanks to Dianne's instructions, is safely frozen until November 7th!

Dianne was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is not only a wonderful baker, but a true artist. We walked in with a vague idea of what we wanted and she helped us create wonderful and unique wedding cake that fit our style and taste. Even a month after our wedding, we are still receiving compliments on our wedding cake!

Dianne provides amazing service...she is a perfectionist and her cakes reflect this. She is so creative and does a great jobs designing her cakes, plus they taste delicious! I would highly recommend Dianne to anyone needing a wedding cake!

Counting our own wedding, I have had Dianne's cake four times now and it was delicious every time! Dianne made the cake for my brother's wedding fifteen years ago, my step-sister's wedding two years ago, and two of my friends' weddings a little over a year ago, so when we got engaged I knew exactly who I wanted to make the cake for our wedding! We had cherry chocolate chip, marble, and white with raspberry filling and the cake was beautiful! It was exactly what we wanted!

We could not have been happier with the way our wedding cake came out, not only was it beautiful but the sooo delecious, people are still raving about it. Diane also designed a grooms cake for me in the shape of a red sox baseball cap which people thought was a real hat!!

Our enitre exoerience with Diane was exceptional!! She took the time to go our hundreds of desings, offered guidence and had some really great ideas to put it all together. She was organized and professional. We would highly recommend her services for any event. She truly has a talent that should not go without notice.

Dianne was AWESOME! I can't begin to stress how great working with her was. She's flexible and understanding on what a bride needs and wants. The cake was exactly what we wanted! I received more comments on how beautiful the cake was and how great it tasted. I highly recommend "The Cake Lady" if your looking for a gourmet artisan cake, that is sure to be one of the highlights of you special day!!
