My husband and I had a great experience with Dayma as our wedding planner at the Brooklyn Arts Center. We experienced a few obstacles like needing a new last minute photographer or the HVAC unit going out in the venue, and she was on top of it providing immediate assistance and solutions! She put our minds at ease for our big day and we are super appreciative of it. We highly recommend Dayma and her team for their planning- month of services! -

When we first started wedding planning, we (naively) thought we didn’t need a planner. After all, how hard could it be?
About a month into planning a 200-person wedding, we quickly realized the answer: very.
After meeting with several planners, everything started to blur together a bit. We were hearing a lot of similar proposals, and I found myself unsure of what the right fit really looked like for us.
Then we met Dayma, and immediately knew she was different.
From the start, she was the furthest thing from cookie-cutter or "one size fits all." She quickly became the glue that held everything together. Not just a planner, but a true partner, and a friend along the way. She was always responsive, always made herself available — whether it was a call, meeting, or quick text, and somehow made what could have been overwhelming feel organized, controlled, and even fun.
She handled everything with patience and positivity, even when we completely changed direction halfway through (from a floating cocktail-style buffet to a full sit-down dinner). Not once did she make us feel like it was too much.
I’m not someone who naturally thrives on details, but she took what was in my head and turned it into something more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. We couldn’t have done it without her.
Truly the best decision we made, and I can’t recommend her enough to anyone looking for a wedding planner! -

Dayma and her team were fantastic from start to finish. Dayma's initial consultation was very informative and I immediately knew that she was the planner for me. She was quick to respond to random questions from decor to dress fitting recommendations throughout the months leading up to our wedding, even though I booked her for the month of coordination service. She met with me at the Party Supplier Rentals to provide guidance. The rehearsal and entire wedding day ran seamlessly and we wouldn't have been able to do it without her! -

Among all the decisions we made planning for my daughter's wedding hiring Dayma Huston of DiaMia Design was the best and most important one. Dayma guided us through all the confusion and did it in a way that was both professional and personal. Her calm and pleasant personality was a soothing balm to our jangled nerves. Her working relationships with all the major companies necessary to plan a wedding helped us immensely in making decisions that worked for us. Dayma gave us a sense that our big day was her primary focus and was always available to answer any of our questions. I feel very fortunate to have found DiaMia Design and I know that the success of our big day was largely because of Dayma's expert planning and execution. -

After vetting several planners for our wedding, we had a very good feeling about Dayma and ended up going with her. This turned out to be one of the best decisions we could make, as Dayma was easy to work with, extremely communicative, and had all of her ducks in a row throughout the whole process.
When the wedding day arrived, Dayma and her team executed things to PERFECTION, and that is not an exaggeration. I was blown away as I saw her working with her team over headsets at the venue to make sure everything was set up beautifully, and literally everything from start to finish went smoothly.
Based on our experience, I would recommend Dayma as a must-have wedding planner to go with for the Wilmington area. -

Dayma was amazing to work with. We met about 1 month before our big day and went over all the details, and was very friendly, and knowledgeable and focused on giving us the best day. She answered all my questions with no hesitation. Her team and her went above and beyond for us on our special day. The day was so seamless, and perfect. If you are looking for a wedding coordinator, I highly recommend them. -

Dayma and her team were an absolute miracle on my wedding day (and the entire month leading up to it)! I would absolutely 1000% recommend her services to anyone who is planning a wedding. She was so knowledgable, so professional, and such a calming presence throughout the entire process. I was very anxious about planning my wedding through every part of it up until the moment that Dayma's services began. On my actual wedding day, I was so relaxed because there was literally nothing left for me to worry about. Dayma and her team handled it all. She truly took over my jumbled mess of thoughts and partially baked plans and executed everything to perfection. The venue was so breathtaking - even more beautiful than I could have imagined during the planning process - and everything ran so smoothly. Even with a surprise forecast of freezing rain, Dayma was able to pivot our sparkler exit on super short notice and still give us a beautiful and fun exit with our guests. Her team kept us on schedule, figured out how to bustle my dress, and fixed every problem before it could even arise.
As an added bonus to her incredible vision, professionalism, calming presence, and general expertise, Dayma provides a lot of her own decor which really saves you so much money. There is truly no wedding planner in Wilmington who is offering this same kind of value. My only regret is not hiring Dayma to plan the entire wedding - she is truly worth every cent and MORE. She is such a gem and her whole team was so very wonderful in every interaction. They truly made our day perfect. -

The Absolute BEST
Dayma and her team were the best day of coordination team we could have imagined! From the first call I had with Dayma, her kindness, professionalism, and love for her job radiated. She brought organization, seemless coordination, and a sense of calm to our day. We had a large room flip from ceremony to reception and I was overwhelmed with how quickly and beautifulyl the room came together. Dayma and her team are absolutely amazing! She took all of my ideas and transformed them into something I could have never imagined! Not only were the decorations breathtaking, but she was quick on her feet when it decided to rain for our outdoor ceremony. She quickly brought it inside and everything worked out so smooth that some of the guests didn't know it was a change of plans! I never had to worry about what time everything was happening because she took care of it all, from the ceremony, to helping with my bustle, to letting us know when to throw the bouquet and garter! Dayma made our wedding day so memorable that I highly recommend her and her team to any bride!! -

I hired her for "Day Of" wedding coordination but she provided that and so much more! Planning a destination wedding is not an easy task but Dayma's quick response to all my emails and text messages with advice and recommendations made the whole planning process a breeze. Three weeks prior to the wedding, Dayma took over and planned a detailed timeline then contacted each vendor and aligned those details to ensure everything went smoothly. She thought of everything I didn't and even provided myself and each of my bridesmaids with heel wedges the day of to ensure we didn't sink into the ground. If you want someone that you can count on to ensure your wedding day goes perfectly, Dayma with Dia Mia Designs is the way to go! Thank you for everything Dayma!

We hired Dayma as our full-service wedding coordinator, and while there were definite highlights, the overall experience had a few bumps along the way.
What stood out most was her incredible flexibility. She regularly met with us via FaceTime late at night, during my lunch breaks, and on weekends — wherever and whenever worked best for us. Her responsiveness, especially over text and email, was top-notch. On the day of the wedding, she was a calming and essential presence. I was personally disorganized and overwhelmed, having just started a new full-time job, but Dayma jumped in with confidence and clarity to keep things moving smoothly. Her team pulled off a beautiful, cohesive setup that truly brought the vision to life — even when I didn’t have one myself! The vendors she did recommend were outstanding, and we received many compliments on the overall look and feel of the event.
That said, the journey to the big day wasn’t without its challenges. Though we hired her for full-service coordination, I ended up researching, sourcing, and managing communication with most of our vendors myself. We didn’t receive a timeline until just four days before the wedding — after several vendors had reached out to me directly requesting one. While we did receive a military discount and her pricing was more affordable than many other coordinators, I found myself taking on more tasks than expected, which made parts of the planning process more stressful.
Still, I’m grateful for how Dayma and her team showed up on the day itself — with positivity, professionalism, and poise. In the end, our wedding was absolutely stunning, and I’m thankful for the role she played in bringing it all together. -

Dayma's reviews led us to her and our first meeting with her went so well! We were so excited about all the things she would be helping us with, from flipping our space to providing us with some of our decor. However, there were several things lost in translation, and when we tried to correct it, she appeared annoyed. Family and friends knew my exact vision, and were trying to help her execute it. We only met in person twice which made me nervous, but she insisted she had everything. We corrected the timeline for her, but the vendors never got the new one, leaving me to correct things a day before the wedding. She promised we would only have to be in touch with the vendors if we owed money or if there was a question she couldn't answer, but we got several emails from several vendors who did not know what was going on. Discussions we had in person were forgotten and misunderstood. Some that were listed on the timeline were easy to correct, some happened the day of and were extremely disappointing, including forgetting a part of the centerpiece and setting up our special goodbye inside instead of outside. She even told our guests we would be coming back, when in fact, we were gone. I will say that what Dayma lacked in communication, she made up for in flare. When we learned we'd have extra decor, she went out of her way to put it to good use. She made the venue look stunning, and we really appreciated that. Her assistant is also EXTREMELY good at her job. Whenever a complaint arose, she was there to fix it. Her assistant made it worth it to us. We would not have been able to have the wedding we had without Dayma, but had my budget been a little wider, we may have splurged for somebody else.
