I had the initial pleasure of meeting Denise back in 2016 as she was the wedding planner for my best friend’s wedding. Fast forward a few years later and I got connected to her as a client.

Detailed planning, flawless execution, wedding of our dreams

Denise is the best!! We had the perfect wedding day thanks to her and her team. We interviewed a few planners before deciding to go with Denise, and this was hands down the best decision. I think the planner is the most important wedding vendor, the one who makes it all come together and guides you through the whole process. We had great chemistry with Denise which made the whole planning process so much fun even with all the stress that can come with it. Denise perfectly understood our vision, taste and preferences, and made us great recommendations, even for other vendors. She also designed the decor at our venue so beautifully, it was beyond anything we imagined!
Detailed planning, flawless execution and our schedule running exactly on time if not slightly early - all characteristics of a 10/10 planner.
Above everything, from the first time we spoke to Denise, we knew that we could put all our trust in her, which she proved right countless times throughout the planning process. She holds herself to a much higher standard than we as clients do, and that is clearly visible in her work.

Multi-day Wedding Planning

During the early stages of wedding planning, our family reached out to Denise for guidance and she was incredibly helpful. With a bride attending school full time, the groom working full time, and families in different states, Denise helped coordinate between us all. Denise introduced us to and helped us coordinate with vendors, helped develop day-of timelines, and very calmly addressed stressful issues leading up the the day of the event. We recommend Denise if you are throwing any big event, particularly in the Bay Area!

Book her!

This review is long overdue! I totally completely and wholeheartedly agree with all of the other reviews posted here. I hired Denise for my wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made. First of all our wedding was a luxury wedding that lasted a week long including two big Indian Sikh Punjabi families. She was responsive, creative, very respectful to what everyone wanted, and most importantly fun to work with. Very easy going and easy to talk to. The best part was she included unlimited text communication. I felt like I was constantly texting her on WhatsApp and Instagram every time I got inspired about a new wedding idea, not only did she keep track of it but she was always excited to hear for me. The most complicated part about our wedding she handled with ease And grace. A week before our wedding week we had to postpone ...Denise handled all of our vendors and closed everything out leaving us in a good place to pick up our wedding six months later, keeping most of our deposits to be reused with many of the same vendors. Since then we have had her plan and decorated my baby shower and daughters first birthday party( which was like another mini reception(125 people)-Indian style). Definitely will continue to use Denise and Denise Lili engagements for all of our family events and functions. I couldn’t imagine working with anyone else. book her! You won’t regret it!

Our Royal Wedding

Brides, if you are looking to book Denise for your big day, I wouldn't hesitate even for a second. Hands down, the best decision we've made.

My husband and I are both originally from Chicago but we decided to have our wedding in the Bay Area as we fell in love here. Being the control freak that I am, I decided to originally tackle the wedding planning myself. About 6 months in of planning while working my full time job, I was so completely overwhelmed and exhausted. Cue in, the best decision I made in the wedding planning process! I interviewed a few wedding planners but Denise immediately stood out. I hired her for partial planning which included set check in calls a few months out, bi weekly as we got closer, and every single day as our wedding day approached. As the day approached, my stress levels decreased as my trust in Denise grew.

Given our wedding weekend involved 4 different events, there were sooo many moving pieces which involved constant coordination. Denise and her team handled it with absolute ease. Everything ran on time and smoothly at every single event - we got SO many compliments from guests who were so happy that the Sangeet started on time, baraat didn't run late, the ceremony was wrapped up early (which never happens in long Indian weddings), and that the dinners was served on time. My husband and I also appreciated how Denise looked out for us the entire weekend. She made it a point to bring us food after the ceremony and during our reception to make sure we were taken care of, listened to all our needs and executed them flawlessly. Denise is truly the reason that my husband and I could enjoy every moment of our wedding events to the fullest extent. Our parents were also able to relax and enjoy our events because coordination was being taken care of so well.

Denise's passion, drive, and execution is unparalleled and I want to thank her and her team for helping us create such happy memories for us. I would recommend her & her team wholeheartedly to any bride looking for a seamless and beautiful wedding experience. Thank you for everything Denise!

Fairytale Wedding Comes True

Denise and her team are exceptional to work with. I only interviewed one wedding planner and the moment we met Denise, we knew we would be in good hands because I am a A type and so is she, therefore we both know we get stuff done! :) I did partial planning with Denise and having her guidance was so helpful through my whole wedding planning process. She a great listener, super sharp, solution provider and is always there when you need her at anytime. Through stressful times, she kept us calm and made us realize that things were not as bad as them seemed! She also has great taste and has great expertise in design and built great relationships working with other vendors. The day of our wedding, we had some last minute situations that came up and she and her team handled everything so well. My husband and I got to enjoy every moment of our wedding stress free and we got to eat everything! I truly miss working with Denise, but now we have became friends and I'm so glad I picked her to be my wedding planner. Denise and her team are one of a kind, I would pick them all over again in a heartbeat!

Unforgettable Sikh Punjabi Indian Wedding

A professional wedding coordinator is one of the best investments that a bride and groom can make for their wedding. I cannot begin to imagine how we could have celebrated our traditional Punjabi Sikh wedding events without Denise and the Royal Engagement team. Most Indian and Pakistani weddings are very complex, and consist of multiple events over a period of 4 to 8 days or longer sometimes, and for each event, there are decorators, photographers, videographers, musicians and/or DJs, food caterers, make up artists, hair stylists, drivers, florists, dress makers and tailors, and so on, and so on. Denise Lillie and the Royal Engagements team were a tremendous help to us in the final month of our wedding.
My now-husband was reluctant to hire a wedding coordinator, and it took a lot of time to convince him, by which point, we were only about one month away from the start of the wedding. Even with such a limited timeframe, Denise was still willing and able to take over almost all aspects of the wedding planning, which was a huge relief to us. Denise and team Royal Engagements are very reliable and proactive. I was the bride, I am white / Caucasian, from an Irish-American Catholic family; the groom, my now-husband, is Punjabi Sikh, he and all his family from Northern India. Our wedding could be described as intercaste, or interracial, or intercultural, etc, although all of our events and rituals were of the Punjabi Sikh and Indian tradition, and our wedding ceremony was in the Sikh Gurdwara Sahib of San Jose, as I converted to that faith.
I really wish that we had hired Denise sooner, but that was our mistake. If there had been more time, Denise and her team could have taken over literally every detail. It was not possible to take over everything in such a short amount of time because there were so, so, so many events and vendors, and so many to-do lists, papers, schedules, accommodations, cars, houses, apartments, shops, salons, online retailers, shipped packages, so many guests and family, and international arrivals both people and packages from India, Canada and Pakistan. My goal as the bride was to relax; I did not want to have to deal with planning, and especially last minute errands or lots of phone calls. I just wanted to enjoy my wedding and enjoy hosting our love ones and people we care about; also, I wanted to be pampered like a traditional Punjabi Sikh bride, and not stress about anything. This is where Denise was very sympathetic; she came and took all the burden away from the me, so that I could just relax and enjoy being the bride.
Denise is very skilled at respectfully interacting with individuals of all types of personalities, cultures, religious faiths, races/ ethnicities, genders, ages, and moral attitudes. To put it lightly, not everyone accepts the concept of a wedding coordinator, especially in traditional Indian culture, where --at least in my experience -- it is expected that the bride's and groom's family members do everything. There were countless conflicting opinions and disagreements about how the wedding should be, and how the bride and groom should act, and so on. Sometimes, my now-husband, as well as some of our Punjabi Indian family members, even a few of our Punjabi friends, would challenge Denise or confront her (which they were never supposed to do); other times, some of our Punjabi Indian family members wanted to take charge of certain aspects of the wedding (like the ladies' henna, for example) and were very reluctant to work with a professional wedding coordinator. However, during such times, Denise was able to skillfully navigate through these difficult interpersonal situations, to reassure everyone with positive and helpful responses, and, all the while also, to focus on the vendors, itineraries and to-do items for the wedding events.
Denise and the Royal Engagements team were able to prepare the South Hall for the pre-wedding ceremony breakfast and post-wedding ceremony lunch at the Sikh Gurdwara Sahib in San Jose. The South Hall is a multi-purpose room, sometimes used for children activities, other times used for education classes, still other times used as a cafeteria and reception room. For our wedding ceremony breakfast and lunch, which would occur there, we wanted the South Hall to be converted into a traditional Sikh Langar Hall. Specifically, we wanted white sheets covering the entire floor (it was a very large room of more than 4,000 square feet of space), and atop the white sheets would be long strips of carpet for the guests to sit and eat their meals. In the Sikh faith, the religious participation in "Langar" is always done with everyone sitting on the floor to eat the meal. The preparations for the South Hall included a major clean up and moving of lots of random furniture, then hanging an end-to-end curtain 50 feet wide and 16 feet tall to conceal all that random furniture and clutter. The morning of the wedding ceremony, Denise and her team were arriving at my apartment at 4:30 AM to get my hair and make up started, as well as my mom and sisters, with the hair and makeup team, and then they went driving to the Sikh Gurdwara Sahib around 5:30 AM to finish the preparations and make sure that the South Hall was ready for the decorators and caterers. Ultimately, Denise and the Royal Engagements team completed the transformation of the South Hall into a beautiful Langar Hall. Better still, is that Denise knew and had already worked with most of our vendors (caterer, photographer, decorator), and therefore the coordination of the wedding ceremony events at the Sikh Gurdwara Sahib went smoothly, as planned. Denise is an honest person, and she truly wants to be helpful to people. We definitely recommend Denise and Royal Engagements for Pakistani, Indian, Punjabi, Hindu wedding events including Sangeet, Mehendi / Mehandi, ceremony, and reception party.

If you want the wedding of your dreams, work with Denise and her team at d.Royal Engagements. You will be so taken care of, you will have the most personalized and tailored service, and, as a HUGE bonus, you will get to plan your wedding with hilarious, sweet, and kind Denise. PLEASE benefit from the extensive research, vetting, phone interviews, etc etc etc that I already did and that all led me to Denise!! Our beautiful, seamless, dream wedding was three months ago, and it still feels impossible to try to put into words how grateful we are to her.

We worked with Denise to plan our multi-day, blended Hindu/Christian destination wedding in the Bay Area. We live on the east coast and our parents are in the midwest and the south, so we really relied on Denise to be our major point of contact and coordination in every way. To add to the distance, we also had three separate events at two locations: our Friday night Sangeet/Mehndi was at a hotel venue (where all of our guests were staying), our Saturday morning wedding ceremony was at a vineyard about 45 minutes from the hotel, and finally our Saturday night reception was back at the hotel. If that sounds complicated, it's because it was! I promise you - nothing is too much or too complicated for Denise.

First, Denise put together the very best vendor team for us and for our wedding. Her recommendation is all you need, and it's impossible to overstate how comforting and how much time you will save when you know that you can trust your wedding planner implicitly. Denise is honest about each vendor's strengths and their weaknesses - even the ones she loves and works with all of the time. In the end, Denise matched us with the absolute best people for our specific vision (not just a cookie cutter wedding) - drawing on her extensive experience, contacts, and instinct. We really feel like we had the best of the best for EVERYTHING - food, decor, flowers, music, mehndi, hair/makeup, photography, videography, etc.

Second, because we all live out of town, we had to get a lot done during the few times we were able to visit San Francisco leading up to the wedding. Denise put together amazing and efficient power-planning weekends. She maximized the number of vendors we were able to meet with and ensured we left town with all of the information we needed. It is hard to imagine planning a destination wedding without Denise’s organizational prowess.

Third, Denise did so much more than help us plan our wedding in the weeks and months leading up to the big day. She was also a coordinator to make sure all of the wedding components came together seamlessly during the weekend itself. From making detailed schedules with vendors to make sure they were set up when they needed to be, to running all over town to pick up last minute pieces of decor, wine, and cocktail ingredients, Denise took so much off our plate. We were able enjoy the events as they occurred, confident that Denise was running everything behind the scenes. As an example, our priest accidentally drove back to the city after our ceremony before signing our marriage license. Neither our parents nor we had any idea this had happened until weeks later. Denise had one of her assistants slip out, meet the priest, and get the license signed before anyone noticed it was missing. That is the kind of last-minute unforeseeable accident that could unduly stress out the bride and groom and their families on the day of the wedding. With Denise, you don’t have to worry about it! We can’t tell you how much our guests gushed about how smoothly everything went.

Fourth, because of the scale of our wedding, it was very important to us to get the best price possible for each aspect of the weekend. Denise doubled as a skilled negotiator in helping to get prices down whenever possible by leveraging her relationships with vendors and deep knowledge of what the market rates are. When Denise told us we had gotten the best deal possible, we knew it was true. And when Denise told us something or someone was worth splurging on (always with a recommendation for how to accommodate that in the budget), we trusted her opinion.

We could not have been more pleased with Denise and the role she played in making our wedding perfect. She has an eye for design, a talent for learning what her clients like and what they don’t like, an incredibly friendly disposition, and the strength of personality to bring together dozens of vendors, hundreds of guests, and a VERY type-A couple. We recommend Denise without reservation. We love and miss you Denise!!

The Royal Treatment!

We honestly couldn’t have pulled off our wedding without Denise! In the beginning, we had ideas but no direction. Denise managed to help us refine our ideas and really helped us create the #crazyrichasianwedding experience. Never once as a bride did I panic when I knew that Denise was around because she was so connected and had everything under control. She was always available to us whenever we had questions or rather questionable ideas (from my now husband). She respected our cultural traditions and did such a great job helping us really highlight them.

When it came to our wedding day, my husband and I really felt like we were royalty. As opposed to us having to handle vendors and directing guests, Denise and her team took charge of that task so we can actually eat the food at our wedding and enjoy ourselves.

It was truly a night that we will never forget and we can never thank her and her team enough for making our day so special! Everyone is STILL talking about the wedding and were even asking who our wedding planner was!!!

Denise was my first choice when selecting a wedding coordinator for my sisters wedding! Six months out, the family was at their wits ends trying to make decision and I knew then that it was time to bring in the experts! I had worked with Denise and her team before at a corporate event and her work was impeccable. Just as expected, Denise dropped by the house one evening for a consult with the bride (my sister) and our parents and they loved her just as much as I do! She helped us make two large decisions on that same evening and set my sister up with the resources she needed to make all the small decisions. She checked in every few weeks and as we got closer to the wedding events, she started taking over the responsibilities and took over all communication with the other vendors. She confirmed and re-confirmed all the details and kept us in the loop throughout. She even went out of her way and checked in on the events that were at our house to make sure everything ran smoothly. Suffice it to say, all of our events went smoothly and with little to no hiccups. My sister said hiring Denise was the best decision we made!

What's great about Denise is that she gives her honest opinion and will give you her expert advice on everything you bring to her. If you want to spend $1000 on something extravagant and she knows she can get it done in $500 - she'll tell you! She'll also tell you when it's necessary to splurge and when it's ok to hold back. Her years in the industry have definitely brought her all kinds of situations and experiences and it makes her an all-rounder!

If you're looking for a wedding coordinator/designer who you can TRUST with your vision, who can help you ENHANCE your vision, and who can truly work WITH you, look no further! Trust me, you won't regret it!

If you need a wedding planner, Denise and her team are there for you! I highly recommend Denise! I was planning a wedding on top of - selling a house, buying a house, volunteering on the weekends, and working full time. Can you say chaos??? Pure chaos. Denise kept me on track and kept my focus to certain tasks instead of being overwhelmed with the full picture. On the rehearsal dinner and day of, she and her team took care of EVERYTHING!! I knew she said she would, but to actually not lift a finger on my wedding day was fantastic! Everything went smoothly! A wedding coordinator is one of the most stress-relieving investments you can make when planning a wedding, and we are so glad we had the opportunity to work with Denise! First of all, she does so much more than just coordinate the month before the wedding. As soon as we signed with her, we started having monthly check-in calls to review what had been done the previous month and what needed to be done the next month in order to stay on track. This is super helpful for brides with demanding jobs.

Secondly, she is happy to make time for you any time you need it and help in any way she can – her main goal is to make sure you are happy and you love every minute of your wedding. Denise has a full team on the day of the wedding to make sure all goes smoothly and events happen on time – if there’s a hiccup, the team will take care of it! I knew from the start that everything would go perfectly – Denise is so organized and detailed, which I loved.

I love that Denise is super bubbly and has a positive outlook – no matter how crazy either of our schedules might be. Denise truly blew our expectations of a wedding coordinator out of the water. When we started looking for a coordinator, we assumed we would mostly be using the for the month leading up to the wedding. Denise went far beyond that, meeting with us regularly to make sure our vision for the wedding was on track. One amazing thing about Denise is that it is clear she can work with all types of people. However, for us, it was very necessary to have someone who is not afraid to say what she thinks and not afraid to take the lead for the big day when the time is right. Denise was so supportive of everything we wanted, but she also gave us great ideas and suggestions when we weren't certain about some aspects of the wedding. She and her team were very, very professional throughout the whole experience. When it was time to pass the vendors on to Denise, she made us feel perfectly comfortable letting her handle everyone and everything. When our wedding day arrived, she and her team once again exceeded expectations. She anticipated our questions, solved potential issues before they even came up, and went out of her way to make us, our wedding party, and all of our guests feel wonderful. We knew we wanted to use Denise at our first meeting, but by the end of our wedding day, it was obvious that she was the perfect choice for us. My wedding would not have happened without Denise! She walked me through all of the important pre-day planning - and asked lots of questions that weren't on my radar - and then she and her team executed the weekend so perfectly. Denise and team are simply AMAZING! I had the pleasure to work with them for a June wedding in Napa. I worked with Denise to plan each detail leading up the the wedding day. She was responsive to my many calls, text, and emails. I even called her one time when she was out of the office to ask her questions regarding the timeline. She let me know that she was not in front of her computer at the moment and would get back to me if she had to... BUT!! She had everything memorized without event looking at the timeline and was able to get all my questions answered. IMPRESSIVE right! Day of: Wow! Everything came together so seamlessly. She designed every little detail of the wedding and it was a dream come true and the lighting that she recommended was definitely worth every penny.

From our first conversation, our experience with d. Royal engagements was amazing. My wife and I both felt completely comfortable and at ease. It was as if we'd known each other for years. But of course we didn't, so we had learn each other, and work together and she turned our admittedly unsure vision into a wedding better than we could even imagine. Nothing goes perfectly and we didn't expect that, but Denise, (and on our wedding day, her staff too) was there to solve any problem (such as me forgetting the marriage license at the hotel) or present creative alternatives to help us reach our ultimate goal. Book her! You won't regret it, she was absolutely AMAZING! We wanted to find the perfect wedding planner for our needs and Denise was IT!

Looking back, working with Denise was one of the most important things we did! With such big families, many many vendors, and complex logistics over the course of the week, there was no way we’d do this alone, and Denise made sure it all happened seamlessly while making sure we were able to actually enjoy our wedding.

Denise understands the complexities of planning marriages and taking on a marriage as complex as ours is a testament to her skill. We didn’t worry once during our wedding week and had a blast actually enjoying what we spent so much time planning for. We were able to enjoy time with our families all week long, instead of worrying about all the event details. Denise pays attention to small — albeit important — details while maintaining the overall picture and vision of what we as a couple wanted, making sure that core focus was never lost. It’s hard navigating difficult relationships with vendors and families but Denise made it so we didn’t think about that once and simply gave us our happy families and friends to enjoy during our wedding week. Contracts, timings, details of what goes where — none of it ever crossed our mind because Denise simply made it happen by incorporating our vision and design. We essentially shared with her what we wanted, and she made it happen! And because she knows what she's doing, we trusted her wholeheartedly, something that's really hard for a Type A like myself to do usually!

My now husband and I were very much looking forward to planning our wedding, but we had chosen a venue in the South Bay, while I was living in Eastern Canada, and my husband was planning a move to leave San Francisco and join me before the wedding! Our photographer recommended we meet with Denise of d.Royal Engagements, and we absolutely loved her from our first meeting! She was ready with a binder and a bunch of Google Drive files and folders from the get go. I was definitely an type A bride, and was nervous about the loss of control I might feel, planning a wedding from so far away. Denise absolutely catered to this, and regularly checked in on us. Not only did she have a comprehensive plan and timeline we should follow, but she also regularly checked in on how we were feeling and just the whole emotional aspect of getting ready to take such a big plunge.

Denise absolutely loves her job, and it shows. Her dedication to her clients is incredible. She clearly loves all her clients, but she will make you feel so special when she’s taking care of you. She had great ideas and contacts for vendors, and always welcomed our ideas with enthusiasm. Her #1 goal is that we be happy with our big day. When the big day finally came, having her around felt completely indispensable. We didn’t have to worry about any of the minor details. We were simply carted off from one part of the wedding to the next. The day went off without a hitch, and it unfolded even better than we were expecting. If you’re looking for someone that’s not only an amazing wedding planner, but also an all-around amazing woman and human being, Denise is your lady!!! If we could, we would give her 6 stars, maybe even 7!!!!!

When we were initially shopping around for wedding coordinators, some balked at our budget. Denise was professional, poised and rationally went through the different ways we could make ends meet. She ended up being the best coordinator ever. EVER.

Though we contracted her for just a day of service, she provided a number of quality vendor recommendations and kept us on track for planning our wedding. We were happy to let her take over correspondence with our vendors the month prior to ensure a smooth coordination for the event. Here's the kicker: she doesn't take kick-backs from 'preferred vendors' and passes the savings onto you.

We were really quite surprised by the number of wedding items she was gracious to let us borrow for the day of the event - e.g. Mr & Mrs signs, a cake topper, etc. We also contracted her to do some center pieces which were HOLY SMOKES REALLY AMAZING AND BETTER THAN ANYONE COULD HAVE ANTICIPATED.

The day of our rehearsal she helped herd the family/friends and set expectations for the wedding day. The big day itself she was very on top of it ensuring the event proceeded smoothly without a hitch. Someone knocked over a glass? No problem, Denise had it handled.

My wife broke out in hives when she realized all the planning and coordination that goes into play for planning a wedding. Denise was there to coach us and alleviate the whole process. She gives you her time to make sure it'll be a stellar event and you can tell she has the wisdom and expertise into knowing what works. So do yourself a favor and hire Denise.

I cannot begin to tell you what an AMAZING person Denise was for my wedding! Without Denise, my wedding would not have run smoothly and we would not have been able to stick to our timeline. The work that she and her team did was incredible. I planned and booked everything for my wedding myself, but as the day got closer I realized I needed help for day-of coordination. I found Denise and had an awesome conversation with her. She took over all of my vendor coordination starting 6 weeks before my wedding. I had over 12 vendors so it was really great to have her coordinate with them. She also developed our entire day of timeline which was very extensive. She completely ran our wedding and day of services. My mom, family, bridesmaids, and I were all able to relax and get ready for the wedding without having to worry about any set-up or coordination. She set-up all decorations, chairs, and tables. She made sure that all of the vendors were on time and that we stuck to our timeline. Her main focus during the whole day was my husband and I and making sure we were happy and fed. My now husband surprised me with a performance during the reception (he is a drummer, and my other friends are musicians) and she worked with him before the wedding to plan this surprise fo me (I had NO idea!). We also had a surprise planned for our parents that she helped us execute. She also coordinated the clean-up at the end of the night so we didn't have to worry about anything!

Denise treated our wedding as if it was her own. I could not be more impressed with her and her team and everything that they did for us. She made me think of things that totally would have been missed if I did not have her there to help me. Hiring her was the BEST decision of my whole wedding (besides marrying my husband) and I would hire her again in a heartbeat. You will NOT regret having her by your side during this special time in your life!

My journey for the perfect wedding began with the selection of a wedding planner. I knew going into the planning process that we needed to find the right wedding planner to pull off what turned out to be a very complicated wedding. Our wedding consisted of a 2-day event. It included a Friday night rehearsal dinner, a Saturday Catholic wedding followed by a reception, a Sunday Tea ceremony, and formal sit down dinner. This meant two different caterers, two different venues and two different programs. To make things worse, I only had 7 months to the wedding date. This is quite a challenge for any planner and some would say it can’t be done. We met with two planners and they both were a little nervous about the scope and timing. Both tried to scale down the event and convince us that making it simpler would be the best route. Feeling discouraged, we decided to meet with one more planner and then make a decision. Denise was that third planner. From the first time we met her, she was enthusiastic and excited to work with us. She did not try to change our plans our steer us in any alternate directions. She just focused on what we wanted for our wedding. I am very picky, and I tend to want control of everything. I wanted everything to be perfect. Denise took this all in stride. She took my apprehension and encouraged me to let go and enjoy the process. She was always happy and upbeat, full of energy and hard working. But her biggest assets was that she was amazingly organized. We had so many moving parts to our wedding. She kept it all together and moving forward. She kept us on track and was the point of contact for all my vendors.Everything came off without a hitch, from the decorations, flowers, place setting. Denise made sure we kept on schedule with a timeline on the day of the wedding. We would not have been able to do it without Denise. She had the ability to understand what I wanted even when I could not verbalize!

If I were to give any advice to a couple thinking about booking Denise, I would say DO IT and DO IT NOW!!!! Denise kept me sane during the entire wedding planning process and because of her I was able to enjoy our wedding weekend. From our first conversation, I knew Denise and I were a perfect match, and she saw and understood my vision and I knew she would always have our best interest in mind. Denise kept me organized during the wedding process, thought of things and situations I could have never thought of, and helped us work through it. Denise was so involved in the process and helped keep me on track and eliminated my stress! Starting from 6 weeks before our wedding, she became the point of contact to all my vendors, in order to help alleviate the stress and pressure from my fiance and I so we were able to enjoy the weeks before our wedding. She really was amazing in reminding me to let go and allow myself to enjoy the process. When our wedding weekend finally approached, Denise and her team were ABOVE & BEYOND AMAZING!!! She and her team seriously blew us all out of the water with our involved, organized, attentive, and sweet they were. We had a few last minute crisis that happened (which happens to everyone) and they were on top of it! I didn't even know they were happening until I found out after the wedding. Someone was always with me and the groom making sure we were staying on schedule with our timeline, and taking care of any last minute errands we had. Our venue (ceremony, cocktail and reception) were set up EXACTLY the way I had ever envisioned. It was stunning, gorgeous! Denise helped bring our fairy-tale wedding to life, and for that I will forever be grateful! I feel so honored and blessed to have had her as our wedding planner and I would recommend her to anyone getting married !!!

We were absolutely pleased with d.Royal Engagements' support. From the first day we met with Denise, her whole package proposal really made me feel so much less overwhelmed-- I looked at what she would provide and wanted to marry HER! And then she really overdelivered, and exceeded my expectations. She gave great advice at crucial times, spent tons of time with us in person and on the phone--and then of course there's the fact that she found us our DJ and florist and sofreh aghd designer (among other things)! Without question d.Royal Engagements was a huge part of our wedding and I don't really like to think about what it would have been like to even attempt it without Denise. Kind of makes me anxious just thinking about it.

Denise is absolutely the best wedding coordinator you could ask for. From the second we started working together, she made me feel ease about all the details. She handles the details professionally, and ahead of time, so that you don't have to! She is incredibly responsive (which is SO IMPORTANT), and she went above and beyond what was expected. I think she did triple the work that was expected of her in the contract, without even mentioning it, because she is so committed to her work. She also did an amazing job working with my picky family (who also loved her), and making sure everyone in my family had their voice heard. Even my photographer, videographer, and make up stylist told me how much they loved working with Denise. If you are considering a wedding coordinator, you do not have to look anywhere else. She does a great job of making your vision come to life, while also knowing when to step in and save you from going down the wrong path. She is absolutely the best.

I wish there was an option to chose 100 stars for this review. Denise and her team made my entire wedding! I could not imagined having planned it without her. She made it beautiful!!!! My husband and I live in Florida but his family is from San Francisco and that is where we decided to have the wedding. She helped me find and choose my vendors. She completely took over 3 months before the wedding and was the single point of contact for my vendors. That made my life soooooo easy. She has an entire storage FULL of decor items you can borrow without having to purchase your own, which you're probably never going to use again anyway. It helps save soooo much money. There is NOTHING that Denise and her team don't do. And if you do happen to find something that she can't do she will have a contact that will do it. Trust her and reach out to her for anything. She will make your dreams come true. I let Denise handle all of the decor for my wedding and when I walked in on that day, I was blown away. I can't thank her enough for what she did for us. Every time I think back to my wedding I will always remember Denise. She played a HUGE role on that day and was so attentive to my husband and I while still taking care of everything she needed to do behind the scenes. Every single time I was concerned or worried about something I would reach out to her and she ALWAYS had a solution. She backed me up when other vendors thought things couldn't happen a certain way and she always figured it out. Denise is incredible, her work is incredible, her team is incredible. D. When I first started wedding planning I had signed a contract with another wedding planner. Several months into the planning process I realized how important the chemistry between the coordinator and the couple is we decided to not use the vendor we had. We found Denise - A God Sent!! From the moment I spoke with Denise I fell in love with her persona. Denise has such a calm persona, she is always happy and positive, and so hard working person with lots of strength which kept me and my family calm through the entire wedding planning process. I am a very picky and love having control of everything especially when it came to our wedding I wanted everything to be perfect and it was very hard for me to trust anyone with 100% - Denise overcame that for me. A month before the wedding she asked me to hand everything to her and as hard as it was I trusted her and she did not let me down for a second. We had a very complicated and cultural Persian wedding but she handled all of without a pinch. Even when things didn't go right with other vendors she handled it so perfectly, finding us backup vendors and making sure everything would be seamless.

Denise truly brought my fairy-tale wedding to life, everything went so smoothly and everything was beyond beautiful! I could not have done any of it without her help. Even up until the day before my wedding she was helping me with all my last minute errands and final ties. She was truly amazing at handling difficult situations so smoothly. I truly enjoyed my wedding day and all the months leading up to the wedding all because of Denise! I can't thank her enough!

I had a tough wedding to plan in a limited time frame. My wedding was a surprise for most of the guests and for this reason my event had a lot of moving pieces to coordinate. I had many vendors and a venue with many restrictions. Denise and her company went well above and beyond our expectations to help make our event memorable, and to run smoothly. Denise took our vision of what kind of wedding we wanted, elevated it, and made it a reality, Our wedding was going to be complex from the beginning with TWO tea ceremonies!! I didn't know how that was going to happen, but Denise seemed to already have an idea. Working with Denise and her team was without a doubt the best decision that we made during the wedding planning process. We didn't budget for a wedding planner/coordinator initially, both because we were planning a wedding on a pretty tight budget and didn't think we had room for it and also because we didn't fully understand the amount of work that goes into planning a wedding. However, a few months before the wedding, after we had found most of our vendors, the process of managing communication with them and figuring out the week of logistics became overwhelming. We handed most of the planning/coordinating process over to Denise and team and instantly my wedding related stress dreams stopped. Not only did they save us tons of time, they actually saved us money by finding different rentals.

Denise is a wonderful, hard working person whose strength helped us through difficult moments leading up to the wedding (last minute guest count changes, etc). We were actually able to relax and enjoy our wedding!

One thing I particularly valued about Denise was her ability to understand what I wanted our wedding to look like, even when I was unable to verbalize it myself. She has an arsenal of wedding related decorations and props that she let us borrow to help bring our vision to life. Without Denise's help, our wedding definitely would have looked a lot less polished and beautiful. She brought a dream to life and we are so grateful for all of her hard work!!

Denise was amazing. Let me start by saying we had a wedding to plan in two months and to top it off, I am not the average girl who loves the planning process, in fact, I pretty much despise it.

When I first spoke with Denise I was a wreck, how could I even make this happen in such a short period of time and within our budget? Just talking to Denise gave me an immediate sense of comfort, she reassured me that yes, it's possible.

With little time and limited resources, Denise was able to imediatly start bringing things together. She didn't overwhelm us with everything at once, she strategically gave us what must be worked on in the order it needed to happen. Little by little I saw it all come together.

When the day finally came both my fiance and I were able to follow her plan and watch this amazing day unfold seemlessly, it was truly better than I had even pictured it. From the beginning, with her clear expertise in planning, ability to ease tensions, fine-tuning of every beautiful detail, everyone was able to enjoy a magical milestone in our lives that I can reflect on with a smile and no regrets.

From the Bride: Six weeks before my wedding, stress levels at an all time high, I hired Denise to quarterback the planning and last minute details leading up to the big day. From the onset, beginning with our first phone call, Denise was a calming, positive presence. She completely took over vendor communication while keeping me in the loop with what was going on. Having been doing this for years, Denise had a lot of great feedback with my day of timeline and flow of the wedding. While Pinterest does make planning a wedding easier these days, having Denise's expertise at my fingertips was invaluable. What really stood out to me was how much Denise loves her job. It was so enjoyable working with someone who was so excited about us and our big day. I was comfortable giving over a degree of creative flexibility and Denise really outdid herself with some fabulous little touches that really went over and above the job. I am forever grateful that Denise insisted that we should have a formal exit, even though our venue did not allow sparklers. She planned the whole thing, props included and it was such as nice surprise to end the night on. She really went above and beyond the call of duty and I can't recommend her enough!

From the Groom: Planning for a wedding is a lot of work! In the beginning we (by we, I mean mostly the bride naturally) tried to do the planning alone but the stress level was nearly insurmountable. Denise was on point right away, helping us to grasp the big-picture, tackle the minor details, and help us move forward with the vendors and tying all loose ends. Most weddings have pre-ceremony issues and ours was no exception. Denise took quick decisive actions that resolved our issues. During the wedding she was great about making everything run smoothly and appreciate how she helped handle the kids at our wedding, too. We hired Denise just under a month before our wedding to help us out on our wedding day. She did and her team took care of everything on the wedding day and so much more! She helped with signs for our junior groosmens to carry down the aisle, display containers for our wedding favors, table numbers, and the list goes on. She met with us in person more than once before the wedding at the cite, she came to the rehearsal at the church and she was quick to answer all calls and emails. We could not have asked for more from Denise. We were lucky to have found her! She is also newer to the business so her prices worked well with our budget.

I had no plans to hire a wedding planner. However, the venue required we hire a 'day-of' event coordinator. I was referred to Denise Rice of D.Royal Engagements by our venue and I was immediately impressed by her very reasonable rates for 'day-of' coordination services and her warm and personable demeanor. As it turned out, we got FAR more than we expected. What was contracted to be just a few hours of logistical support and coordination the day of our wedding turned out to be several weeks (six weeks in fact) of full-service support and assistance with design vision, decor, referrals to vendors, managing most of the communication with vendors, help with logistics and timing, and even loaning us decor to enhance our overall theme and vision of the wedding. My husband and I were extremely impressed and appreciative of the thought, time, and great attention to detail paid to us and our wedding by Denise and her staff at D.Royal Engagements. Simply put, our wedding could not have gone any better. I have lost count of the number of compliments we received from wedding guests who said it was the most beautiful, most classy, most detailed wedding they had ever been to. Much of this is because of Denise and her staff! Most importantly, Denise was able to handle a wide variety of STRONG and OPINIONATED personalities of family, friends and vendors, and she handled them ALL with extreme grace under fire. At the end of the day, I always felt supported and respected by her- she always had my back and she never lost sight of my vision and the feeling I wanted to invoke for the day. She helped me achieve my vision and so much more. I highly recommend Denise and her staff for all your wedding planning needs!

My Rotary Club's Annual Gala was just the latest event planned by Denise Rice in which I've been involved.
Each event has been personalized to the theme down to the last detail and always done on a minimal budget.
Just stepping into the room, sets the perfect tone for the evening. She has such creativity and a broad spectrum of ideas for making each event unique and memorable.

Denise Rice of d. Royal Engagements was more than we ever could have hoped for!! We got the wedding of our dreams all thanks to her. Denise was hands on, full of suggestions and advice, and handled more details than we imagined would be involved with a wedding. Denise consistently found ways to keep our costs low while maximizing the value of the venders we paid for. She was always well-prepared and we are so glad we had her in our corner. For Example: she advised us to hand-carry irreplaceable wedding items onto the plane with us just in case our checked luggage was misplaced. Overly cautious? Well, on the flight home AFTER the wedding our Best Man checked his suite and the airline lost it. What fantastic advice she gave us because these things DO happen. Denise located and negotiated with venders in Mexico. She followed up with and secured a dream venue, a brilliant DJ, stunning fireworks, a gorgeous florist, perfect hair and makeup for the girls, and extremely professional photographers. Then she took on the task of two picky and creative people (yours truly) who wanted a non-stop barrage of surprises and twists with and around every part of their wedding day. We asked for a surprise music change-up when the bride walked down the aisle; non-standard photo sessions with guests before and after the ceremony; emphasis on an unplugged ceremony; a fully themed cocktail hour with party favors and accessories for photos galore; a change-up in the ordering of our dinner courses; non-standard escort cards; a non-standard first toast; a non-standard first dance; and a non-standard cake with flowers on it which required transferring flowers from the florist to the dessert chef. Denise pulled it all off with a smile and an unending amount of enthusiasm for bringing order to the chaos and delivering a perfectly planned wedding. I want to say this very clearly: our wedding was PERFECT. Thank you so much Denise!!

Denise managed a very successful black-tie fundraiser for nearly 200 guests. She helped to plan and manage the event and provided beautiful decor, i.e., special table cloths, centerpieces, and other decorations. I feel so fortunate that I had Denise as my wedding coordinator. I couldn’t have had such a PERFECT day in my life without her! Things stood out about Denise:
1. Level of Service. Most of the day-of-coordination packages in the market don’t include vendor searching and price negotiation. But knowing we still needed several vendors in the last month, Denise offered to help us secure these vendors and negotiated great prices. She coordinated with the vendors back and forth and made sure all the details were just the way we wanted. My husband and I were simply awed by how much work she did for us at such a reasonable price.
2. Budget controlling. I was going to rent chairs for my garden ceremony. When Denise visited the garden she saw some benches near the ceremony spot. She realized that we could just utilize the garden benches instead of renting chairs and the whole set-up was much more in line with the theme I was shooting for. She saved me over hundred dollars instantly there! What’s even sweeter was that she brought some cute decorative pillows to set on the benches on my wedding day, making it a real comfy with rustic look I wanted.
3. A stress-free experience. Denise was the sole contact between my vendors and me in the final week. This saved me tons of work. Whatever changes I wanted to make, I just told Denise, instead of calling around to make adjustment among vendors. On my wedding day, Denise arrived before noon and started to set up the reception room. Whereas I just comfortably sat in my hotel suite, having my makeup artist and photographers working around me. After the reception, my husband and I retreated to the hotel room while Denise and her assistant stayed and cleaned. The second morning, I was amazed that we didn’t leave anything behind at the reception.
Finally, what I can’t stress enough is Denise’s personality – she is so passionate and delightful. She will treat your event just as important as if it were her own event.

I first saw Denise' work at one of my sorority events almost two years ago. I was ver impressed with the beauty, simplicity and detail. Immediately I thought of how can I expose this woman's talents. Not sure how we began planning but she provided EVENT planning services for a few of my marketing events for a non profit I support at Stanford University. I rwas unable able to attend but I received many compliments and inquires on my business. The most event was the conclusion of my half marathon where I was fundraising for the American Heart Association. The event was at my office and was 5 stars. DENISE assisted or should I say provided leadership from beginning to end. My office was transformed from a 9 to 5 insurance center to a day party "going for.the gold" meet and greet venue. I am so happy to have her on my team. I STRONGLY recommend her for any and all venues. She is a gantastic visionary and you will have no regrets .

I worked with Denise for my husband’s 40th birthday bash (Vegas theme), and it was a tremendous success! But I could not have put on such a memorable event without Denise’s help and hard work. As soon as I met her, she was super friendly and organized; she intently listened to my ideas and my vision for the party, and she provided her own as well. She was very conscious of my budget and she was always willing to work through any challenges we had with a positive attitude, which was very important to me. We were floored by the end product created by Denise of d. Royal Engagements for our wedding. The day was not only beautiful but ran seamlessly thanks to the professional and tireless work Denise put in to make our wedding perfect. I retained Denise Rice of Royal Engagements to help me with the 20th reunion of a Stanford Business School group. I am so glad I did!

We came from all over—from London and Sidney, Gaza and Tokyo, from Mumbai and Buenos Aires, Cleveland and Connecticut, and from just down the street. There were about fifty of us. We wanted to spend time with one another, and I didn’t want to be distracted by party details.

Denise thinks about the whole party experience. The food, prepared simply and within the budget we agreed. The table setting, flowers, the wine table and all the other arrangements. She’s sensitive to the flow of the group, knows how to welcome late-comers, see they have a beverage at hand and ease them into the gathering. Since everyone seems to come with an iPhone camera, she even manages to orchestrate the group and take a photo or two for every camera. That’s service!

When it’s all over, she leaves the place clean with a small supply of “left-overs” for the grateful host. And in the most pleasant conversation she manages to create an event evaluation so that we can think about doing some other party soon again.

d. Royal Engagements made my vow renewal service stress free. I live in Tennessee, and Denice planned/organized my vow renewal service in Michigan. Denise for d. Royal Engagements is in a word-AMAZING! She provided full planning services for my September 2013 destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico. She is poised, professional and truly a sweetheart. You can tell this is her passion by the level of care and detail that she commits to working with you.

She worked with us from the beginning stages of the planning process by helping us create a budget, create a vision that would match our desires and fit the budget, and communicated with our vendors to make sure our wishes were executed perfectly! She is a great negotiator and for a wedding (in which vendors immediately see dollar signs when that word is introduced) you have to drive a hard bargain. She will truly work hard for you to help you achieve the special occasion you dream of!

Having a destination wedding can be stressful because you can't see plans developing in person. She eased our stress by arriving early in order to assist me in meeting our resort staff and I didn't have to communicate with them at all after the initial meeting. She was right there on the front line to handle any issues and all we had to do was sign on the dotted line. She put together our welcome packets, rehearsal agenda, ceremony programs, final details for decor that we brought with us, and made sure our guest's check-in experience and stay was smooth and comfortable. Overall, very attentive and considerate of my needs as a bride by assisting in any way she could so that I could relax. She even organized my things/tasks for me and coordinated a couple of special moments for my husband and I.

Our wedding was awesome and so much fun (went according to plan and was on time)! All of my guests kept giving high praises for the organization and professionalism that Denise provided. We probably would have gone crazy without her encouragement and her ability to keep my husband and I on the same page throughout the process :) We just LOVE her and you will too!!!

d.Royal Engagements is 5 star service!!!!!! My husband and I were planning our ceremony and d.Royal Engagement helped the plannig process run smoothly and effienciently! Denice handled all my vendors, made sure I didn't let any decisions slip through the cracks. She also helped my husband and I to stay within our budget! She was full of amazing ideas and solutions to any and every problem. After securing our venue and a few of our vendors a very unfortunate event caused us to change the date of our ceremony. Denice helped us negotiate with vendors and make the necessary adjustments. D. Royal Engagements helped would could have otherwise been a very stressful time in my life be nothing but fun, happy, beautiful, and exciting event!

Denise accepted me and my partner unconditionally. We came to her wanted to plan our dream ceremony and she helped us create that dream. She never waivered when I got stressed and she always made sure I was completely satisfied with other vendors. If something wasn't right; she made them re-do.

Denice was a godsend! My wife and I have been planning our 10 year wedding anniversary since the day of our very intimate wedding 10 years ago when we could not afford to have the lavish gathering of our family and friends in a location that would suit one family coming from the West Coast and the other coming from the East Coast. Well, once we found Denice to turn our ideas into reality, our prayers were answered and she ended up making our 10th Wedding Anniversary Party ("Love Jones 2013") in New Orleans, LA the most excellent, memorable, awesome occasion we have had besides the births of our children! Even though, I have to admit that we had a few family members say that the party that Denice threw outranked even that for some of them! I don't think I have enough space to complement Denice on melding my ideas of a party with flash and flair with my wife's idea of a party having meaning and sentimentality plus organizing a destination wedding for 40 people with a B&B stay, reception, dinner, transportation, fun on Bourbon Street, and brunch... but the best part about it is that Denice hit it out of the ballpark on truly helping our guest experience what we love about Nawlins, one of our most favorite places in the world, even though she had never been there! The Zydeco band was the highlight of the entire weekend for me as I reflect while also being able to see both my wife's family and my own together to celebrate our union and our many years to come. Thank you Denice and we always will believe you are the Greatest of All Time when it comes to Event Planners!

As an event planner myself it's hard to turn my vision over to someone else. Giving over that control with Denise was not an issue. From the first consultation I knew that is she would give me exactly what I wanted .

I have worked with many vendors and event planners over the past several years, and she stands over most, not only in demonstrated initiative, intelligence and creativity, but also in her ability to work in her client’s best interest.

Denise’s excellent communication skills, positive outlook and pleasing personality enhance her natural leadership qualities. Her willingness to accept challenges and listen to input enable her to contribute thoughtful, well-reasoned approaches to helping others solve difficult problems. Wedding beyond our dreams!

Im so grateful to Denise and everything she did to make our wedding so incredibly special-beyond anything we could have imagined. Denise took on the challenge of organizing a multi-day, multi-venue celebration and delivered. It was a multicultural wedding, which required an incredible amount of thoughtfulness, sensitivity, and attention to detail.

Our guests were absolutely blown away, saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended—and likely ever will. And trust me, they have high standards! Denise’s impeccable taste really shone through as well. She went above and beyond to add so many special touches that made the celebration uniquely ours.

One of the things we were was most worried about going into the wedding was not being able to fully enjoy the day, as we'd heard so many couples say that happens. But thanks to Denise, we were able to be fully present and savor every moment. It was such a gift.

Denise was invaluable as our wedding day of coordinator. Not only did she assist us in having a flawless wedding event but also was able to communicate with us a lot during the pre planning of the wedding. Denise is a friendly, sociable and extremely helpful wedding planner. In regards to planning, I don't know that my wife and I would have been able to put a structure into place for getting everything done on time, without Denise's help.

We had a great wedding that our friends and family seemed to really enjoy. All in all, I would say that Denise can really pull an event together.
