Professional & experienced, You are in good hands!
Dedra and an assistant did hair and makeup for my wedding, which involved 3 mothers, 3 bridesmaids, 3 extra lashes for friends, and, of course, me, the bride!
I connected with Dedra because of her naturally beautiful aesthetic portfolio, her experience, and her professionalism. I highly recommend doing a test with any makeup artist before you hire them and that is what sealed the deal for me with Dedra. She really knows what she is doing and gave me good feedback and advice. She also made me and my family/wedding party feel extremely comfortable.
Dedra knows how to bring out and enhance your beauty. She doesn't cake on makeup, I felt like myself, only stunning and camera ready.
Oh, did I mention it was also the HOTTEST day of 2022, going over 99 degrees in Hood Canal where our event was? My makeup lasted all day and night, with no need for touch-ups.
I would highly recommend working with Dedra!

Dedra is the best.
About 2 months before my wedding, I stressed over my previous hair + makeup situation and rebooked EVERYTHING. Dedra was SO nice, responsive, and flexible to fit me (and my 6 bridesmaids) into her schedule and get me looking as perfect as can be on my wedding day. I got so many compliments of how beautiful of a bride I was, and a lot of that was Dedra. I am so so happy with how my hair and makeup turned out.... Dedra you're the best!! -

Best hair and makeup artist ever!
Dedra was incredible. Hands down.
My original artist fell through so I was frantically scrambling looking for someone. After inquiring all over I finally found Dedra. And even better she was already on Vashon island (where my venue was) and just had a cancellation on my day! It was meant to be.
She was so responsive and happy to answer all of my questions. She made me feel special and taken care of from the moment I made contact with her.
I definitely recommend doing a trial because we were able to not only figure out my hair and makeup, but we got to know each other a bit and it really made things so much better. I felt like I was able to make changes and she was more than happy to make any changes that I wanted. She truly puts the client first.
On the day of the wedding I wasn’t feeling great, but she was still able to make me feel like a bride getting ready. She talked me through my anxieties and took my mind off of everything going on at the venue. I was able to focus on myself and my bridesmaids, and it was amazing!
I was so so so unbelievably happy with my hair and makeup and it lasted all day! Even in the sun, I felt like my makeup wasn’t moving at all. And my hair still looked fantastic at the end of the night.
Dedra is amazing and will look after you! I definitely recommend her!

Talented hair and makeup artist -- everything looked amazing!
I am so glad that I found Dedra! I cannot recommend her highly enough. I had no idea what I wanted and everything we tried out looked great. I loved the way she did both my hair and makeup. She's very sweet and easy to work with. She's incredibly talented and good at curly/textured hair. She made a big part of my wedding day stress-free and I cannot recommend her highly enough!! -

Exceptional and stress free!
Dedra was the perfect choice for my beauty needs for my wedding. She is a truly a master at her craft and gave me exactly the look I was describing to her. I brought her a few pictures and she made my vision come to life. I felt so beautiful both after my trial and of course on my wedding day. She is easy going and has a calm demeanor, which eased my pre wedding jitters. Honestly, she could charge more for the quality of her work, but I was happy with her prices! I will definitely be recommending her to friends! -

Pleasant experience on my wedding day
Deedra was a calming force when she did my hair and makeup for my wedding day. We did not do a consultation however it was clear her experience and eye would give me my best look for the big day. My hair and makeup held up the entire day and I wouldn't have changed a thing. -

Perfect hair and makeup!
My six bridesmaids, both moms, and I all had our hair and makeup done by Dedra on our wedding day. She did an incredible job - everyone looked classy and fantastic! I don't wear a lot of makeup normally so I wanted a natural look for the wedding, and Dedra put just the right amount on to make me feel both fancy and still extremely comfortable. She also did an incredible fishtail braid and used custom clips I brought for myself and all my bridesmaids. Dedra was really calm and efficient the day of the wedding. I would recommend her to anyone in the Seattle area!! -

A true artist!
Finding Dedra to take care of my wedding party and I was truly an unforgettable experience. From the beginning she took all my visions to heart and made it happen. During the months leading up to my wedding I never worried and always felt comfortable being able to communicate with her and send her different ideas if I changed my mind along the way. Everything on my wedding day went exactly how she said it would! She was easy to communicate with and really takes care of you from start to finish. I highly recommend her! -

Stunning Wavy Wedding Hair
Dedra created a gorgeous wavy updo for my wedding, and I have been thrilled to see it in every photo. She was calming to be around in the middle of a bustling wedding day, and paid attention to detail in the way that I do. The hairdo lasted beautifully through our long reception at the windy beach. -

From the moment I met her, Dedra felt like family to me. I'm so grateful we connected and that her soothing and professional presence was part of our big day. Dedra did my hair and makeup for my wedding and I could not have been happier. She was very easy to communicate with and took the time to understand what look I wanted. She suggested I make a Pinterest board to share with her, which was very helpful. I did a makeup trial, which she recommended, which was worth the money because it helped us be even more on ththe r same page. She came all the way from Vashon to my apartment in Seattle for the consult. On my wedding day, I had two monster zits but Dedra soothed my skin and covered them well. With hair extensions and hair combs that I wanted to wear, Dedra created a soft and romantic updo that was exactly what I wanted. I have never looked or felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day, thanks to Dedra. She and her assistant also did a gorgeous job with hair and makeup for my mom, mother in law, and sisters. Dedra is so professional and highly skilled; she's also super friendly and easy going. She is a great deal for the quality of work she does. I paid a similar amount for a very amateur makeup artist in CT for my sisters wedding who did a very poor job in comparison.
I highly recommend Dedra to anyone and would hire her again without hesitation! -

I had a wonderful experience working with Dedra, who did hair and makeup for my wedding for me, my mom, and my sister.
I had very little idea about what I wanted to do, and Dedra spent a ton of time with me at my trial run, talking to me about the different options. She is very knowledgeable about hair and makeup trends, and was able to manage theee different hairstyles for three opiniontated ladies with VERY different hair textures and lengths. My husband was emphatic that I don't look like I have a bunch of make up on and that I look like myself at the wedding. Dedra delivered. She accentuated my features without caking on the makeup.
Dedra is also a lovely person with a great sense of humor. We had a wonderful time with her. I recommend her without reservation, and I hope to hire her again! -

I looked at hundreds of hair/makeup vendors before I found Dedra's site. I was immediately drawn to the classic, elegant style portrayed in the photos. I used Dedra for for my 6/4/16 wedding and she exceeded my expectations. Dedra is not only exceptionally talented artist, she has a kind, calming disposition about her. I also enjoyed talking with her and listening to her great Cuban music. So many parts of the wedding planning process were stressful, so this was a breath of fresh air. We had lots of visitors that popped into the hotel while I was getting ready. Dedra was great with the guests and didn't get distracted by them. Dedra did hair and makeup for myself and my two bridesmaids. Everyone commented on how great we looked. I'm 38. My skin looked beautiful and smooth, my hair looked shiny and classy and I loved how the eye colors made my eyes really green. I am beyond grateful to Dedra for being part of my big day! -

Dedra/DD did my makeup for my wedding, and I could not be happier! Three months after the wedding I am still getting comments on how fantastic my makeup looked.
What I really love about DD's style is that everything she does makes you look like YOU. I kept seeing pictures of brides with really heavy makeup - the "drag queen" look - and that's exactly what I didn't want. She listened to what I wanted, made some suggestions, and ultimately made me look both glamorous and natural. The makeup totally fit with my 1920s style dress. DD also fit right in with my wedding crew, and it was great having her there to help me get ready.
DD is a professional with decades of experience. She has done major ad campaigns, was a makeup artist for celebrities in LA, and we are so lucky to have her up in the Northwest.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Dedra Whitt! If you’re looking for a hair and make-up artist for your wedding, look no further. I assure you that you will not find anyone better than her. Her ability to thoughtfully and meticulously use just the right products and styles for each individual is unmatched. Oftentimes, hair and make-up artists have their own style or agenda that they seem to do for every client, regardless of what you actually ask for. Not Dedra. She will take every word that you say into consideration and then find just the right products (fyi: she has everything) to give you exactly what you’re looking for. And if you’re not sure what you’re looking for, she’ll know exactly what will look best on you based on your complexion, style, etc. And if you don’t normally wear a lot of make-up, she’s amazing at making it look extremely natural. I could not have been happier on my special day, and this was in large part due to Dedra. My hair and make-up looked great even at the end of the night after hours of dancing. And my bridesmaids looked beautiful! Dedra and her assistant (who was equally amazing) did such a wonderful job and really took the time to get each girl’s requests perfect. They were all so happy. And on top of everything, Dedra is an awesome, fun, easy person to be around! So you really can’t go wrong! She took the stress out of the big day because I knew that I was in good hands, and we had such a great time together. And finally, this is all coming from someone who hates getting her hair and make-up done - I either don’t look like myself, it looks overdone, or I simply don’t like the style. You will not have to worry about any of these concerns with Dedra. So do yourself a favor by crossing one more thing on your massive wedding to-do list and hire Dedra! You’ll be thrilled you did. Dedra was amazing from the moment of first communication with her, she was so quick to always get back with me via email or phone. She traveled to meet me to do a trial in Santa Barbara and then to the wedding a few months later. She was always early and ready to go. The make up and hair products that she uses as great she does not stick to one product line, but to products that work for you. She is a gem and made all 3 of us ladies look natural and absolutely beautiful. Dedra was also a very calm person to be around in the crazy time before the wedding, she stayed through the ceremony and even helped out with my nephew and puppy. I cannot say enough great things about her. She is a very talented lady and I wish I could have her with me all the time. -

I had a very difficult time finding a makeup artist who would make me look like me, only better, and who didn't cost a fortune. I contacted Dedra and a lot of other artists too, and she responded very quickly and professionally. She understood what I wanted, and the trial went great--I went to an event that night, and my friends loved my hair & makeup.
Dedra did an even better job with my wedding hair & makeup. She gave my sister what she wanted (a very neutral face) and she made my mom look great & not overly made up, which is difficult.
Dedra uses brushes to apply foundation, so she can really get your face evened out without looking like a mask. She also did a wonderful job with my false eyelashes, using short ones on the ends of my lashline to make my eyes stand out but not look cobwebby.
Overall, I highly recommend Dedra! -

Dedra was wonderful. She is professional and caring. I felt very comfortable with her from the moment we met. She was easy to get ahold of and was very accomodating of my busy schedule to come to my house for the trial run... both of them (I decided to have her do my hair as well after she'd already done the makeup trial) My makeup was perfect. It wasn't caked on and I felt natural. I have dark circles and puffiness and on my wedding day, my eyes looked amazing. Everyone complimented me. When she came over for the hair trial, I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted. Dedra was very patient and offered some suggestions. She even helped take trial photos of my hair with my dress on. I ended up with some clip in extensions that we loosely curled and my hair was pushed over to one side with a feather clip. It was gorgeous and it stayed all night! The day of our wedding she was on time and at the end, she cleaned up every spec of hair and makeup. She even vaccummed! she was terrific and I'd recommend her! -

Dedra was very professional. She was friendly and very skilled with what she does. My family and I were happy with all the results. I would recommend anyone that is looking for a do it all vendor to give Dedra a call. -

I can't recommend Dedra highly enough. She kept me calm the day of my wedding and seemed to know exactly how I wanted my hair and make-up (natural and elegant) despite my being completely inarticulate! She also did a wonderful job on my flower-girl daughter's hair and make-up. Dedra was creative, flexible, extremely professional and a pleasure to be around. -

There are two sides to getting your makeup done on your wedding day: The day itself (is your makeup/hair artist going to be there, on time, do what you want, make everything better) and for the rest of your life, when you (and everyone else in your life) look at your pictures.
Dedra was awesome. We did a run through of everything so that we both knew what to expect and how much time it was all going to take (and let me tell you, I've been with other brides who didn't do that...not pretty) And she was there on the day of my wedding on time and through the whole thing and cool as a cucumber and on top of it all--which is really what you need. Not another person in the room stressing out.
She is as on top of the trends (she's not going to make you look like your mother's wedding picture) as she is able to make your mom and your grandmother look great as well--and not like tramps.
Also, everyone who sees my picture says 'you look like a model!'....now, I'm not bad, but I'm no model. She did a great job of making me look gorgeous. My hair was exactly what I dreamed of and my makeup was perfect. She is professional and great to work with.

Dedra was very responsive via email and phone as well as flexble with meeting location and times for my trial as well as day of the weeding. She has a natural eye for beauty and made me look even more beautiful then I even imagined! Thank you so much for be a very special part of my wedding day.
