  Great photos and great attitude, and very professional!

  We are so lucky we found Dawna! We were interested in candid wedding photos, capturing the event as it happened, and we noticed from her portfolio that Dawna could definitely do that. But what set her apart for us was the warmth and joy present in so many of the pictures on her website-- she is great at capturing folks at their best without everything looking posed. When we reached out to her, we were pleased to see that she was also joyful in person! She responded quickly (less than a day I think!) and over the phone she immediately put us at ease and made us excited to share our vision for our wedding photos. She clearly knew her stuff and asked all the right questions about what types of photos we wanted and day-of logistics, and we felt very comfortable trusting her with this crucial component of the wedding.
  On the day Dawna and her assistant were very efficient at getting the photos we needed (i.e. the long list of planned family shots and the inevitable spontaneous and chaotic ones as well) while keeping everyone in good spirits. They also were able to go around and get shots of the friends and family having a blast. We were also glad we booked her for a little extra time for our off-site wedding afterparty, so that we had mementos from the whole day. When we got all the photos back we were so happy with the moments that Dawna captured, and we keep coming back to these photos again and again. She has our appreciation and strong recommendation!

  Fabulous Photographer, Fabulous Photos!

  We could not have been happier with Dawna! We had a small, outdoor elopement in Seattle, and throughout the process she was so upbeat, positive, flexible, and just all around great to work with. The photos turned out even better than we had hoped. I'm so glad we went with Dawna for our wedding.

  I highly recommend Dawna as your wedding photographer!

  Dawna was hands-down the perfect choice for our wedding photographer! Her communication before, during, and after our wedding was super clear, and it helped me be able to actually enjoy the entire process rather than stress! Dawna truly exudes a magical cheerful and positive quality, and just having her there made me feel calm and able to be in the moment during the entire wedding day. She and her photography partner were constantly everywhere, and yet, she was so discreet about it all. She did a wonderful job both allowing us to be our silly selves and giving really simple directions for posed photos. She knew exactly where to go in our venue for best lighting and backdrops and I could not have asked for more beautiful photos! After the wedding, we met up in person where we got to look at the photos together and she gave us a flashdrive with all of them, as well as a link to an online gallery to share with family and friends. I highly recommend Dawna! She is amazing!

  awesome experience

  Dawna was absolutely a joy to work with. She gamely stuck with us through 3 postponements and was incredibly sweet about it. She scoped our portrait locations the day before and was very organized about the way she went about our photos. She even kindly drove me to the location so we would have a real 'first look'. Absolutely a blast to work with. Never felt self conscious. I was touched by how she even stayed a little after to capture important end of the night shots. Hire her. Loved her.

  So happy with our photos!

  We had a very intimate wedding at a remote location and Dawna did an incredible job capturing our marriage day. She was professional and timely at communicating before the event and making sure our expectations were met and her's were known about what she could provide. She was so easy to work with and helped us to relax and have fun while capturing the day. We would highly recommend Dawna to anyone. Especially in a smaller setting she fit in with our family and we were able to enjoy every moment. Our photos look incredible and capture the feelings over the whole day. We got all the formal and family photos out of the way early and Dawna and her secondary photographer were able to wrangle and direct our quite lively wedding party to get the shots we wanted. During our ceremony and reception, Dawna and her assistant beautifully captured our special moments and were a delight to work with. When we got the pictures back, we could not have been happier with the results! We have some absolutely incredible pictures that we cherish thanks to her sharp skills, eye for detail, and true talent.

  Dawna is so incredibly easy to get along with and effervescent, and her photos always come out absolutely stunning. From inside to outside shoots, great or crappy weather, all skin tones, styles, etc., I've seen Dawna take stunning picture after stunning picture. Her artistic eye really comes across in her photos excellent composition, depth of focus, colors, and her models poses. Even when I was feeling ugly and down on myself and she took photos of me, they still came out absolutely stunning. 10/10 would recommend.

  Really knows how to capture the love!

  Dawna has such a beautiful desire to capture the most precious moments. Just give her a list of what you want and she'll get that and more! She tries to get to know you and your significant other before the big day and it helps her learn how to capture the love.
