Summer Wedding - 5 months away

THIS LOCATION IS WONDERFUL! The staff is extremely welcoming, and very helpful! My fiancé and I are a same sex couple, and had the pleasure of working with Nina for our wedding dresses. Nina had also helped us with our maid of honor, and bridesmaid dresses. She is extremely wonderful, and listens to every detail you want to see in your dresses. She is extremely helpful with pulling dresses that fit the image you have for your wedding. If you are local, or just a bit of hike away like myself, this is the place that will make you feel like home, and like a part of their family! Thank you for everything

Very accommodating!

I tried on a dress at a store in another location in another state and a week later it was gone. Sasha at the Westbury store helped me find it at their location over the phone! She took the time to find what she could at her store and shared in my excitement when it was found in a similar size and in the color I wanted. Very professional and accommodating, with shipping options as well.

I absolutely loved my dress! When I went in the store that lady that was helping me pick out a dress was very helpful and she had really good taste. The store shipped my dress to Maryland within a couple of months.

I picked out my bridesmaids dresses from David's Bridal. I knew the one I wanted before I even went there. My sister had gotten married in July 2006 and also used David's Bridal. I fell in love with a bridesmaid dress and begged her to use it. She didn't like it. But as soon as I was engaged, I said I am using that bridesmaid dress for my wedding. David's Bridal is fabulous. They are affordable and they have a location in like every city and state. It makes it so easy for your bridesmaids if they are out of state. For example, when my sister was getting married, our other sister and I lived in Florida. We had no problem finding the dress our sister picked out. We just went to our local David's Bridal and gave them her name and they gave us the dress. It didn't matter that she was in NY and we were in FL. Also, when I got married most of my friends live in Queens, NY I live in Long Island, NY. They all had David's Bridal in their area and could go to any one of them. They didn't have to go to the one nearest me. My friend says the best thing a bride could do for her bridesmaids is use David's Bridal. Plus, they have fabulous accessories!

Marie, the attendant who helped me was lovely. I explained what I wanted, and she borught back a few designs, and I bought the first dress I tried on and the first dress she brought to me. Although it can get crowded and the attendents need to be in more than one place, she was very efficient and pleasant. My dress was gorgeous and you would never have guessed I got it for a bargian price.

The Westbury David's Bridal had a significantly larger selection of wedding dress styles, colors, and sizes then any other store I visited. I was able to try on styles and colors I thought I wanted, as well as, styles I had never considered. I tried on and selected a wedding gown that I had not considered before and it was solely due to the fact that no other stores had such a style and color.
The store always seems busy and during my appointment I noticed that each assistant was assigned to 2 brides at any given time. Due to this, the assistant was not able to hoover over me and dedicate all her time to just me. This was exactly was I was looking for; a good blend of assistance and time to make my own decision on the dress. In small boutiques the assistants would not leave me alone and I was sick of hearing how beautiful each dress was. I had visited the David's Bridal website prior to going to my appointment and had printed out styles that I wanted to try on. The assistant was able to quickly and easily pull all the dresses that I had selected (and additional ones she thought I may like)and it also allowed me to peruse the aisles to see if there was anything else I wanted to try on. Once the assistant saw that I had narrowed down my search to 2-3 dresses she brought me veils that matched the dresses perfectly. She also provided shoes so that I can get a better idea of the whole look.
Additionally, all the dresses are in street clothes sizes (the size you purchase clothing at a regular stores). I was able to buy my dress off the rack and it required no alterations since they had petite sizes as well. Unlike many of the boutiques, which required me to purchase a dress in their sizing and then have major alterations, as I am small and petite.
David's Bridal has everything in one location which made it easy to put a whole look together at the store and decide if this was to my liking.

Even though I had heard many different things (more bad than good) about service I decided I would get my own opinion before judging David's Bridal in Westbury. Well I had the most pleasant experience I must say. The young woman who helped me was Kathleen, and she was beyond helpful. I probably tried on about 10 or 12 dresses, always going back to the first. She was so great in knowing what I wanted and helping convince me that dress number 1 was perfect. This was very helpful to me because I did not have my mom there with me since she lives out of state, but I did have my mother in law and sister in law who along with Kathleen made the whole dress shopping experience easy and pleasant and fun. I can say that my positive experience did not stop there (though it was very hard to get through to the alterations dept phone line). The woman who helped with my alterations was also such a nice person to deal with. She made my dress fit me like a glove and made me feel very confidant that I would feel amazing the day of my wedding. At David's Bridal I found everything I was looking for, the perfect wedding dress for my perfect day, and very nice people who were very accomadating. Oh yeah and the best part, my dress including alterations was less than $600!

I got the dress of my dreams for an excellent price, and the staff were really helpful all the way around. I also got my alterations done there, just to make sure they knew what they were doing, and I think I got taken for a ride there -- my guess is a competent seamstress could have done the alterations just as well, and just as fast, for a fraction of the cost.

I was sold the wrong veil, and didn't discover it until I was getting it out to put it on for the ceremony. I went back afterward for a refund, though, and although it took a while to make them understand that I didn't wear a veil and therefore wanted my money back despite their all-sales-final policy, I *was* able to make them understand, and they're issuing me a refund.

David's Bridal was able to get me a beautiful dress within my budget with my wedding less than 3 weeks away. Don't ever go on a Saturday if you can help it. It is a mad house and you might lose your sales person.

David's bridal did a great job picking out my dress and having it fit my body like a glove. I could not say anything other than they did a great job and at a great price.

I found my gown here after visits to several more expensive bridal stores in NYC. The dress was polyester, but it fit me like a glove and looked awesome. I wanted it in ivory and they said they only had white, but then they got an ivory one in and called me and let me swap it, which was awesome. Overall, the service wasn't great, but I knew this going in because it was David's Bridal. I also ended up getting my bridesmaids' dresses here, although they ordered them from stores elsewhere. One of them ended up with a dress in the wrong color. They eventually got her the right one, but leave extra time (like we did) in case something like this happens.

The best thing about David's bridal is that there are a million of them. I bought my dress near home, brought it three hours away to my wedding location, and had it steamed there instead of making new creases during travel.

I also liked that they have dresses in all sizes so you can actually try on your size instead of that haute couture style of pinning the dress to my bra.

The women working there were all great - except for one, but there just has to be one, doesn't there?

I am older bride and this was my second (and last!) wedding, so I didn't want anything formal. I wanted a knee-lenght strapless dress, and I found it at David's bridal. The quality was good, the price was great.

David's bridal was my last choice - I want to many boutique wedding shops first, but didn't find what I wanted. David's was the only one who had it.

There are a lot of pros and cons to Davids Bridal. If price is important to you, then David's Bridal is the place to go. If personal attention is what you need, then run in the opposite direction. The price of the dress for both myself and the bridesmaids were great. However, the service was horrible. This is a retail store not a bridal boutique. So the employee that is helping you will also be helping 3 other brides try on dresses. I went to other locations for dresses that did offer similar prices to the dresses in David's Bridal but when it came down to it, the dress I liked the best was at David's. So I sucked it up and dealt with it. Oh, when I went for my first fitting, I almost passed out because it was so hot in the store(it was July and 90 degrees outside). Make sure their A/C is up!

Although the woman who fitted me for my dress was wonderful, overall I was dissatisfied with the experience. Very crowded and chaotic store, even in the "off" season. The department for alterations is terrible--they are unfriendly, and frequently "mess up" an order. I've seen more than one bride crying that her dress was not done on time, even though they had months to prepare it. MAKE SURE YOU GIVE PLENTY OF TIME TO GET BACK YOUR DRESS!!!They did not have my dress done on the date they said they would. I chose this store out of convenience, and they do have a wide selection. But better management is necessary.

I wasn't crazy about this place although I did purchase my dress from the and so did my bridal party. I would definitely not suggest using their alterations department because the prices are obsurd defintiely bring the dresses elsewhere for fittings

The employees should keep in mind this is a special moment. They are not caring or considerate at ALL. The worse experience ever. The only person that showed emotions and was caring, and showed interest in making my experience memorable was Matt from the alteration Department. He was amazing in helping me with find my accessories and was always addressing issues that was out side of alterations department.

They messed everything up. I had no one to help me try on. It was an awful experience. I would never give them my money. Lady who tried to help but disappeared stunk.
