I can’t say enough nice things about David’s Bridal Lewisville, TX! I previously went to a local bridal boutique and didn’t feel special or even welcomed. I felt like a number. But as soon as I walked into David’s, I was met with warmth and willingness to help. I actually cried when I found my dress!! Even though the one I decided on was short-sleeved and my heart was set on long-sleeve, the seamstress, Mrs. Kay, insisted she could add them and make it look seamless. And she did!! I’m so in love with how it turned out and how well it fits my body! -

Donna Sent on 08/25/2009I loved the staff at David's Bridal in Lewisville. My Dress was just beautiful and they were very helpful with all of my bridesmaids and mothers. The cost of my dress and accesories was very affordable. They made my dream come true with being a beautiful bride on my wedding day. The first thing my husband said when he saw me was "You are so beautiful." Thank you David's. I will use them in the future for other attire that I may need. -

I went in just to show a friend the color I chose for my bridesmaids, and she talked me into trying on wedding dresses, we had someone instantly to help and found the dress I wore that day! They were also helpful with getting my bridesmaids dresses in time for the wedding, even looking up the dresses other stores had and making calls for me. -

I wasn't planning to buy a dress that day and she was very patient as my future mother-in-law and I kept picking out more and more dresses to try on. I surprisingly found a dress in their massive clearance section that fit me and looked amazing. JJ helped us with experimenting with up-do's and accessories. Her demeanor the whole time was professional but fun. She has a very good eye for putting things together that match well. I didn't think I would find anything at David's Bridal that felt unique since they are a chain but they had such a large selection that there were almost too many dresses to try on during my fitting time. -

Charlotte Sent on 12/19/2009Davids Bridals doesn't have the highest quality of customer service. I was put on hold many times only to be left there for at least 7 minutes each time. They are friendly when you are in the store, and they are fairly knowledgeable about their dresses, though. Although I wasn't very impressed with the sales staff, the alterations staff was a blessing! Kay is the best alterations woman around and she is the most knowledgeable person in the store. She isn't just there to tell you what she thinks you want to hear. She is there to give you her true opinion, which is very helpful! While I don't highly recommend David's Bridal, they did an okay job for the price, and their alterations staff are the best! -

Nikki Sent on 05/11/2011I loved my dress and the actual shopping experience at David's Bridal. My major complaint is the alterations department. At my first fitting the tailor was condescending about my choice of shoes, and then proceeded to tell me she didn't know how the dress should bustle and I should just figure it out. When we came back to pick up the dress, I tried it on and couldn't get it to zip up. The tailor asked me if I had put on weight, which I denied several times, and not until I began crying did she bring in another tailor, who measured me and found that I had actually LOST weight. The alterations manager took over my alterations and fixed the issue. In the end the dress still didn't fit perfectly (it was a little more snug than was comfortable), but there was no fixing it any further. And after all this, the alterations bill was way more expensive than it should have been. I highly suggest buying a dress at David's, but do not use their alterations department. -

Amy Sent on 10/25/2011I went to pick up my dress and the dress had been made all wrong. I had an ivory dress, but the beading had been put on as if it were a white dress. Also the pleating was in the wrong spot. They apologized, and reordered my dress. I came in the second time and they same exact dress was sent again. Finally I came in for the 3rd time and then was told I wouldn't be able to get my dress altered ready for a min of 4 weeks. I had already scheduled my bridal pics, I was not happy, I had to change to date of my pictures. -

I had the WORST experience at David’s Bridal with my dress- 3 times- same dress. First it was not there when I was told it was for my first fitting. I drove an hour, everyone ran around for a moment, they even put me in a dressing room- only to finally, 20-30 minutes later for someone to finally tell me it was not there. Even though I got a confirmation email- it was NOT there. Then I finally saw the alteration, she was extremely nice and helpful- more than anyone else- however I wrote down my measurements at the same time she did, when I went back to try it in I couldn’t breathe. Her notes had her take an inch off my bust.
After all of that, they couldn’t get me my dress until the Monday of the week of my wedding. They did not fix the problem, they created more. As soon as I put it on at home the zipper actually fell out. Barely hanging on by a thread. The pads for the bust- which they “sewed” in, fell of in the bag on the way home. The bustle was so awful it looked like I was wearing a dirty diaper. I cried and thought my wedding was ruined. Luckily, I was able to get the zipper changed into a corset lace up back, she also fixed my bustle so I could easily slip it on my wrist. The hem line was also uneven.
David’s was supposed to remove fabric from the shoulders so it wouldn’t gap- but they did not. So it gaps. In every picture.
It was a beautiful dress but the seamstress I found made it awesome. David’s, did not. Nor did they show appropriate concern that my wedding was 4 days from when I picked up a dress they messed up.
I will NEVER shop at David’s again, and will tell absolutely anyone thinking about going my story. I got married on March 20 and had to give myself some cooling off before I wrote this- because it was SUCH a big deal.
I paid more for the bad alterations than the dress itself. Just think twice before going to David’s.
I wouldn’t even give it one star
The staff was so insanely unhelpful. I just hoped this saves some bride from experiencing this.

Sister and MOH Scammed
My sister and I went in February to get our dresses altered and her wedding date is THIS Saturday April 10, 2021. We were supposed to pick up our dresses FINISHED on March 26th but we had other things come up and had to change the date. When my sister called to change the date NOTHING was said about her dress not being completed, having pins fall out, or any other excuse why they did a horrible job on her dress. We went this past Saturday (April 3, 2021) to get our dresses and mine was still big on the top and my cup inserts were all messed up. They tried to fix the cups but whoever re-sewed them did a crap job, because they came undone and now I am just taking them out and wasted my money on them. My sister's dress was HORRIBLE. ALL of the pins were still in her dress and since pins fell out and they decided to still take her dress in, it was taken in TOO much! They also "forgot" to put down that she wanted a bustle on her dress. My sister paid over $400.00 for her dress to be altered which is RIDICULOUS! NOW my sister had to take time out of her day today to go and get her dress re-done and then was told all these excuses about the lady being out because of COVID, excuse me, there are more than 1 seamstresses at that store, they could have finished it, end of story. THEN they MADE my sister pay an EXTRA $130.oo for her bustle that she told them she wanted and she thought she paid for already. I CANNOT believe this is how this place treats their brides on their wedding week! My sister is already a ball of nerves and having to deal with planning her wedding up to the day of, now she has to deal with this! UNACCEPTABLE! I WILL NEVER SHOP AT DAVID'S BRIDAL AGAIN and I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND DAVID'S BRIDAL TO ANYONE! I would rather shop online or at a more expensive place in order to get better service and better alterations! They should not have said something about COVID because we had this issue on Saturday and we were not told this....sorry I am not buying it. They also should not have made my sister pay for extra stuff when she had it already in her order and had to go through all of this only 5 days before her wedding! I am DONE with this store! -
