  Delicious!!

  David’s food was delicious!! We did pub food because we were getting married at a brewery and everything came out amazing! From the passed appetizers to the buffet style dinner, we loved it all! He was responsive and fairly priced and did a great job setting up and cleaning! Thank you for making our day unforgettable!

  Amazing Food

  We recently got married at The Hops Company in Derby, CT and David Grant Caterers did a fantastic job with our buffet. We had a wide assortment of hors d'oeuvres that everyone loved! Fan favorites were the bacon wrapped scallops, philly egg rolls, and caprese skewer. For dinner, our buffet consisted of seasonal veggies, potatoes, rolls, balsamic glazed chicken, marinated flank steak, and penne vodka. The flank stead was served with gravy or horseradish on the side, both were delicious! I was very happy with the quality, affordability, and professionalism of this caterer. Thanks so much for helping make my wedding a memorable experience! Oh, I also appreciated the wait staff making sure the bride and groom were brought hors d'oeuvres while photo taking, it was so considerate and much appreciated!

  Amazing food, stress free planning

  David Grant Caterers was a highlight of my wedding. The food was absolutely amazing, the planning was super stress free, and his staff was top notch professionals! His team constantly check in on me as the bride for food and drinks, kept the tables clear and the assisted with all the set up and break down at our venue. They also booked and set the up chair rentals for my on site wedding so it really was as stress free as possible! The price was also great!! Well worth it! Do yourself a favor and book this caterer!

  We can't recommend Dave & his team enough!

  Dave & his team were absolutely phenomenal. We used Dave Grant Catering for our August wedding. Dave was one of the most responsive vendors we worked with - answering my list of questions during our initial phone call, and responding my email always within 24 hours. Dave was flexible in creating appetizers for our cocktail that we felt fit our theme/venue perfectly. Our guests had so many kind things to say about the appetizers and dinner - everything was hot and fresh. Dave himself is excellent to work with, and his staff meet the same standard. Will was the event manager at our wedding and he made sure everything was perfect. One of the waitresses, Alexis, was an absolute gem, making me a plate during cocktail hour to make sure I ate as well. We can't recommend Dave and his team enough and are so grateful that they were available to be a part of our wedding day.

  Amazing food for our June 2021 wedding

  We absolutely loved the food at our wedding from David Grant Caterers. Everything about our experience with them was amazing. Dave was very easy to work with, very responsive, and worked with us to come up with the perfect menu. He even worked with our dessert caterer to coordinate everything for the big day. The staff at the event were also lovely and friendly. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced and we cannot recommend them enough. Everyone gave us so many complements for our food!

  Outstanding

  David Grant is outstanding. He is easy to talk to, very flexible, and he knows the catering business. His staff is experienced, pleasant, helpful and courteous. The food is excellent, and the prices are reasonable too! We have worked with other caterers, and David Grant is as good as it gets. He gets an A+ from me for customer service. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a caterer.

  Amazing food!

  The venue we used had recommended David Grants Catering and we could not have been more pleased. David was so nice to work with and very accommodating. His staff the day of the wedding was very friendly & attentive. They set up our bar & dinner service beautifully, they added extra detail to our dessert table, popcorn and pretzel bar! The guests could not stop talking about how amazing the food was!

  Excellent food! Dave is very flexible and was willing to make anything that I asked for even if it was not on his regular menu. He also helped accommodate children with chicken fingers and Mac and cheese. All of the drinks were taken care of. I especially enjoyed the apple cider! My only regret is not eating enough!

  We could not be happier with the food and service we received from David Grant Caterers at our wedding last Friday May 18. David himself was incredibly professional and kind, along with the rest of his staff the day of our wedding. They allowed us to do a tasting ahead of time which was phenomenal and let us know right off the bat that we wanted to go wit their service. When it came to pricing, they were the only caterers in the area that had reasonable pricing along with INCREDIBLE food. The day of, everything went so smoothly, our guests could NOT stop raving about the delicious food, and we went on this weekend to have MORE than enough leftovers!! Thank you David Grant Catering!! We will be recommending you to everyone we know!!

  We recently used David Grant Catering for a cocktail wedding reception at the Beardsley Zoo. I would use them again in a heartbeat. They were so flexible and accommodated every request we had. The service was so friendly and professional and all of the food was completely delicious. We received so many compliments from our guests. And while I didn't eat much at the wedding (like most brides!) we had SO many leftovers to eat for a week after the wedding!

  We hired David Grant Caterers for our May wedding, they did everything from food, bar service and table rentals. Everything was set up perfectly and timely. The drinks and food was amazing! Highly recommend them, they certainly know what they are doing!

We served lobsters, which, according to our guests, were the biggest lobsters that they had ever seen. Our guests also raved about David's linguine with white clam sauce. The fruits and vegetables were very fresh, too. While we only had a budget to hire one staff, the one staff from David M. Grant Caterers managed to handle everything from setting up the food to cutting our cake and cleaning up afterwards, etc. (But given how hectic it was for our staff, we do recommend hiring more if David suggests). We're glad we went with David M. Grant Caterers, and would highly recommend them!

  David was recommended to us by our venue along with another caterer. We met with them both for a tasting, and David's food and professionalism was AMAZING in comparison! I'm so happy we went with David Grant. The prime rib and lobster tail was delicious.

  We chose to have a buffet style dinner. The food was delicious. Everyone at our wedding was asking who the vendor was the cooked the food because they enjoyed it so much. The staff was exceptionally courteous and professional. The staff cleaned up their preparation area completely. Prices are very fair and couldn't be more happy with the choice.

  The owner was great to work with and helped us get everything we wanted within our budget. They set up our venue beautifully. The staff made sure we had appetizers and enough food the whole night. Our food was great and the bar service was awesome. We would definitely recommend them.

  Just want say few words how wonderful your staff's service was during my son’s wedding at Wood Acres Farm, Terryville, CT last Sunday 6/1/2014. Food was delicious, everything was served at time, and your people were very professional, and pleasant. You helped us to make Tien Yi, and Pawels wedding to be very special, and relaxing.   AWESOME FOOOOOOD! hands down great service. We were able to change the head count up until the last week. We even took left overs home. It was great he worked with me on saving as much money as possible. I brought in outside paper plates and it was no issues. It was nice, I had no worries on my wedding day! Thank YOU

  David Grant and his staff are top notch. The service was incredible. We had a difficult request for our dinner. My husband is a vegetarian with food allergies. Not an easy combo. David was able to adhere to our wishes for a vegetarian meal and still keep it safe for my husband.
  
  His ability to offer a wide variety of foods and services was very helpful. Our wedding was an outside event and we didn't have to worry about finding someone to hire for our tent. David has a wonderful company he works with that was great.
  
  Our guests are still raving about the food. They didn't even notice it was vegetarian.

  If you need a caterer from the area you would be very disapointed if you did not use David. I would reccomend his services to anyone in need of a great caterer.

  Again if I could rate him with a 10 I would. Could not have asked for better service. He also was kind enough to throw in a champagne toast (glasses and champagne) at no cost to us as a wedding gift. What other caterer do you know that would do that?!

  The service was great. All the staff were friendly to us and to all our guests.
  
  If you need a caterer from the area you would be very disapointed if you did not use David. I would reccomend his services to anyone in need of a great caterer.
  
  He was super dependable. He returned our messages very quickly and answered our many questions promptly.
  
  Again if I could rate him with a 10 I would. Could not have asked for better service. He also was kind enough to throw in a champagne toast (glasses and champagne) at no cost to us as a wedding gift. What other caterer do you know that would do that?!

  We just had Dave and his crew cater our wedding at Lighthouse Point Park and couldn’t be happier! Dave was so awesome and flexible in working with us on a menu and details that we had envisioned and in keeping with our budget. Our pre-planning experience with him was great, but even better was the day-of with a fantastic, professional, and polite crew and delicious food! Dave was quick to respond and although brief in his responses he really was on top of everything and the day came together perfectly. Still craving his food! Would definitely recommend David Grant Caterers.

  We had a wonderful Experience with David's catering. We wanted delicious food that felt special enough for a wedding but also comfort food that reflects what we enjoy. David helped us put together a menu that included peanut butter sandwiches, lobster rolls, and pizza in a way that actually seemed coherent. (We brought pizza in from a local restaurant, but David's team helped to organize and serve it. I give him especially high marks for flexibility for this!) The service was excellent and their professionalism during the event made the gourmet pizza seem like an elegant dinner. Our guests loved it and we got to eat our favorite foods!!!
  David was also a huge help with linens, place settings and all the extras!
  It sometimes took a day longer to hear from him by e-mail than I might of liked, but on the weekend of the wedding I never doubted that our event would get all the attention needed.

  Tasty and Delicious food!

  I am so happy in choosing David Grant Catering for my wedding, I will definitely be ordering from him again! My wedding plans had to be changed last minute due to venue cancellation and we decided to do a backyard wedding instead. My backyard wedding went off seamlessly and that had much to do with the professionalism of David grants team specifically Ryan who was our server. Now Dave might be laid back during correspondence but also I might have been stressed out trying to replan a wedding in 2 months but he is a bit lax on communicating the details, but trust that his knowledge and expertise your event will come together just how you imagined it would. Dave is very open to creating a menu tailored to your needs and wants he is very flexible and even created a special hawaiian fried rice for our event. Not only did we have enough food to feed an army, the quality and freshness of the food was unsurpassed. I should mention I consider myself a foodie and it was hard for me to trust in ordering food for my important day without ever having tasted it. I really had my heart set on a hawaiian luau themed dinner since our honeymoon to hawaii had gotten cancelled due to covid. Dave was excited about this idea and put together an amazing spread of skewers, grilled veggies, pulled pork, and the amazing hawaiian fried rice. Along with tons of apps, bbq meatballs, caprese kabobs, fruit and cheese platters and more. His server Ryan arrived on time and kept with all covid protocols, mask wearing and gloves. At Dave's suggestion we have a server for buffet style to go more smoothly. We received many comments on how great the food was as well as how nice Ryan was. He did things he wasnt hired to do without even asking, he cleared plates and glasses, he helped pour champagne for the toast, it was all just so appreciated and made the night SO enjoyable for our guests and for ourselves. I don't think our night would have gone as well as it did if it weren't for Ryan being there. Also the following day, we hosted a fantasy football party (with over 10 grown men who were all fed and we still had some leftover food) That being said, in my opinion the overall value of David Grant Catering really can't be beat, I look forward to planning some type of event just so I can order his food again :) wish I had taken some pictures of the food to add to this review!

  We used David Grants for our wedding with the catering and bartending package. Our guests and ourselves loved the food and the hor dourves. We are still hearing from our guests how amazing the food was. David was extremely helpful in aiding us in what types of foods and beverages to choose and gave us options on how to save a few dollars here and there.
