I don’t even know where to start with Dat Band — they were an absolute HIT! From start to finish, they brought the energy, the fun, and the talent that made our reception unforgettable. Every single guest was on their feet, and the dance floor stayed packed all night long!
A huge shoutout to Chad Clements, the owner and drummer, who is one of the most organized people I’ve ever met — and coming from a type-A bride, that’s saying something! His attention to detail and professionalism made the entire process stress-free and seamless, and it’s exactly why I knew I had to hire them.
Byron Santo, thank you for perfectly editing our first dance song — it was exactly what I had envisioned and even more special because of your talent. And Clay, our lead male singer… where do I even begin?! You not only nailed every song but also knew how to work the crowd better than anyone. You were truly my hype man for the night, and I loved every minute of it!

I recently got married and had DatBand perform at the reception. Best decision ever! During the planning stage, my planner provided a long list of suggested bands. I thoroughly read reviews, looked at websites and reviewed available song lists. DatBand seemed like what we were looking for, and we decided to book them. From the jump, they were so great with communication and planning. They made things so easy and made sure to customize things to our liking. We booked the string quartet for the ceremony, and they did a beautiful job. Then we booked the 9-piece band for the reception. Wow they were awesome! They sounded great, played all the fun songs we wanted, and got the dance floor going from the jump. People are still stopping to tell us that the band at our wedding was amazing. I was nervous to book a band I had never seen perform, but I could not have asked for a better experience with DatBand – book them now!DAT BAND's reply:

We took a chance booking Dat Band without ever seeing them perform live, but it was one of the highlights of our entire wedding. My top priority when planning the wedding was the music. I wanted a band that could cater to all ages and offer a wide variety of genres. After reading reviews and working closely with Chad, we decided to go ahead, and I’m so glad we did.
From the beginning, Chad was incredibly responsive and thorough with communication. He took the time to understand our vision, made sure our specific song requests were heard, and had several check-ins with me leading up to the big day to make sure everything was aligned.
On the wedding day, Dat Band exceeded all expectations. The dance floor was packed all day long, and everyone had a fantastic time. Weeks later, I’m still getting compliments about how amazing the band was and how much fun everyone had. Dat Band played for three hours, and my only regret is not booking them for longer—I didn’t want to leave the dance floor or for the party to end!
I highly recommend Dat Band for any wedding or event. They’re easy to work with, incredibly responsive, and most importantly, they know how to keep the energy high and the crowd having fun. If you want your guests to have an unforgettable time, look no further!

Dat Band is amazing. Chad was professional from the first conversation. He listened to what my daughter(s) wanted and gave great feedback. The band is awesome at reading the party vibe and keeping everyone on the dance floor. They interact with the guests on the dance floor and keep everyone hyped up. We contracted with Dat Band in 2019 for my oldest daughters wedding, her best friend contracted with them in 2021, and we just contracted again with them for my youngest daughters wedding. I can assure you live music is the way to go and Dat Band can bring that to your next event. They won’t disappoint. We had to reschedule our wedding due to covid , and our band was the only vendor who couldn’t do our new date. So we found Dat Band- and we are SO glad it worked out this way. Dat band absolutely exceeded our expectations! Armando was so easy to work with, and so kind and responsive.
I pretty much hand picked their playlist- the live music they played (80s and 90s of course!) as well as specific rap songs we wanted played during their quick breaks. Not only did they follow our list as requested, but every song they played was phenomenal. The artists are so talented - our dance floor was packed all night! Even two years later, people still ask us who our band was, and compliment our choice. We are very glad fate hooked us up with Dat Band. Highly recommend!DAT BAND's reply:

We were lucky to find Dat Band and wow were we blown away by the talent of the entire band, especially our female singer. They read the crowd and kept the party going! We also used their services for our 2nd Line and it made it so easy and less for us to have to deal with. Our booking process was seamless and Chad made us feel like his number one client. I hope I get to attend a wedding where they are playing again!DAT BAND's reply:

Dat Band is the BEST wedding band in the South. PERIOD. FULL STOP. This band, lead by Armando, is extremely easy to work with. They were dependable and reliable, competitively priced, and helped us with the planning logistics and building the set-list, with attention to detail so we got everything and more on our special day. How great is this band? Well, on the day of our wedding we had a last minute cancellation by our separate fine string ensemble that was scheduled to play during our wedding ceremony. Armando and Dat Band quickly came to our rescue and offered to help by having the band's amazing guitarist step in and play the ceremony set without skipping a beat! THEY SAVED THE DAY for us without hesitation. That goes above and beyond what I would expect from a band and it speaks volumes about their quality and character. We HIGHLY recommend you hire them for your wedding! You will not be disappointed with the party they throw -their energy and passion kept our wedding guests dancing all night. CHEERS to Dat Band! -

Date Band was absolutely fantastic! Every person we spoke to absolutely loved them. Three weeks later we are still getting asked "Who was Dat Band? They were awesome!"They had the dance floor rocking from start to finish. The dance off was absolutely killer! They accommodated every song request and made the night as perfect as can be. I highly, highly highly recommend you reach out to them if you're looking for the dance floor to be rocking! -

Dat Band played at our wedding this last weekend and exceeded all of our expectations! We loved being able to customize the size of the band and the option to have both a male and female singer. Not only did they look and sound amazing but they were genuinely sweet and so easy to work with. Our venue coordinator made sure to tell us how bad she felt about the loading area being full when they arrived and that the guys said no problem and parked down the street. She was so impressed with their easy going attitudes that she went out of her way to share with me the day after. Chad definitely helped calm me down the week of the wedding and was just as cool in person. They played the most FUN music and kept the crowd engaged and on the dance floor ALL NIGHT! They played to our guests of all ages and I couldn’t have picked a more perfect set list myself! They played all of our special requests and none of our ‘do not play’ songs. Stop! Look no further for your wedding band. Dat Band is the one you want. Many bands are talented, but few actually cater to the tastes of the client. Not so with Dat Band. This band listens and delivers. We could not have hoped for a better band for my daughter's wedding. Chad responds promptly to all calls and emails and really cares about the show he and his talented band members put on. What really surprised me was how Dat Band took the pulse of the crowd and managed to keep the party going until the very end. Their music selections are extensive and Chad and the crew are more than willing to accept special requests, even offering to learn songs just for your event. If you want to party with the ultimate dance band, choose Dat Band. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Dat Band is outstanding! From the beginning, Chad was extremely helpful, reachable and responsive. I had not seen Dat Band live prior to hiring them, but had read up on all the reviews and watched videos of the band, and thought they were just what I was looking for. Chad’s communication is what gave me so much confidence in selecting them. Fast forward to the wedding, they exceeded all of my expectations, and I truly mean it – they were AWESOME. The music selections were perfect, the band was so engaging and brought so much energy, and our guests had a blast dancing all night long. If you are considering hiring a band, this is the one. DAT BAND played at our wedding reception, and we are still laughing and smiling a month later because of all the fun we had! Not only did they play incredible music, they also got the crowd involved, and the dance floor was packed the entire time. We even had a bride vs. groom booty-shaking contest- so much fun! Highly recommend for an unforgettable night!

We planned a fairly large destination for the French Quarter. My fiancé and I lived in different states, so there was a move as well as multiple work trips while planning the wedding. For that reason, I would not be able to visit New Orleans until about a month before the wedding. And, the band would need to be booked before that. So, we would have to select a band based on online reviews and videos. Also, this was an extra concern, as the band had to be good! Our friends and family were coming in from multiple states, and most people would not know each other at the wedding. We needed a band who could get the crowd up and moving and having a good time! DAT Band delivered! They were easy to work with before hand. They were on time, and professional. They were also wonderful, and had everyone up and dancing! WE have several high-profit friends and guests, and everyone loved the band! They were so great, that one of our friends asked them on the spot to play for an event she is helping to organize for the spring! Do not hesitate to book them, they will deliver, be easy to work with, and keep your party moving!DAT BAND's reply:

Key points: book them because they are amazing, so talented, made everything so fun, and made the experience stress-free!
Dat Band was THE BEST! We looked at so many bands and we chose based on reviews, price, and the demo’s. Because we are in Shreveport and they are in NOLA we weren’t able to make it down to hear them live. But the reviews are spot on. Dat Band has the best price for the amazing service you get! Armando had everyone dancing and the music was so good! One of my favorite things was that, in the craziness of the wedding, I hardly had any time to plan the music and I started to stress a little. Armando called me before the wedding and assured me that they had everything taken care of. I didn’t pick any of the reception music other than the first dance songs, which the band was so accommodating for and did an amazing job! Dat Band was outstanding when it came to reading the room and just playing the songs that everyone wanted to hear! That was so great because it took so much stress of off me and my family while we were planning the wedding. I can say, other than the music at one point, the band was one of the few things that I never got stressed about because of all of the reviews raved about how easy they made everyone. They absolutely exceeded my expectations in this area. They made it so easy and they were fun and helpful to work with! I think that Dat Band was definitely worth every single penny that we paid! I believe that the band is what really drives the wedding reception and it was so great and 150% worth it!! I loved having Dat Band at my wedding and it was a reception that I will never forget! If I had to do the whole thing over again, or recommend Dat Band to a friend, I would say DO NOT HESITATE. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!! We loved Dat Band so much that my husband and I are writing this review on our honeymoon because we want everyone to know how amazing they are! I can't even put into words how amazing these guys are! It's been over a month since my wedding and people are still raving about how good the band was and how much fun they had. I always knew I wanted a band over a DJ just because I feel like a band is so much more fun and interactive and that's definitely the vibe I was going for. After reading all of the reviews and doing plenty of research, I decided on DAT BAND and I could not be more pleased. Armando was so easy to work with and answered all of our questions with ease. I cannot speak highly enough about the absolutely amazing experience Dat Band delivered for my wedding reception. My husband and I knew from the start that we were looking for a band that would keep people dancing all night long, and Dat Band delivered and more. The wide range of songs, from rock n roll classics, funk, and current hits, combined with Dat Band's musical skill, made them really stick out to us-- and their reputation for high energy and for drawing people onto the dance floor really sealed the deal for us. Once we got in touch with them, the process for booking was fast and easy. The band manager got in touch with me right away, and was always available to answer questions. We had a few special requests for first dance songs and for our exit song, and even though the band didn't already know them, they were enthusiastic to learn them and did a sensational job. I'll never forget the way my heart raced when I heard the opening notes to my husband's and my special song on that magical night. We found that the band really delivered amazing value for their price-- I cannot stress enough what an amazing job Dat Band did for us. Every single person I've talked to about the wedding has raved about the band, and I have been told, over and over since, that it was the most fun wedding anyone can remember. I would book Dat Band again in a heartbeat-- Their true professionalism and off the walls fantastic showmanship and performance really set the mood for the whole night, and have created memories that are going to last us a lifetime. Two weeks later after Dat Band performed at our wedding on 11/3/18, my guests are still telling me how great the band was and how much they enjoyed the dancing. Choosing Dat Band was one of the best decisions I made in the wedding planning process. There were a few things that really stood out as "above and beyond" in our experience: (1) They kept the crowd dancing for our entire reception!!! They didn't just perform on stage but actually went out into the crowd and interacted with the guests! I was also pleasantly surprised that they encouraged a dance-off with my husband--all night long people were complimenting us on our spontaneous dance moves :). (2) Chad was always the first one to reach out to let us know of upcoming decisions we needed to make around our song choices, secondline path, and reception timeline. Other brides who have gone through this process I'm sure agree with me that there is a LOT of initiation required when it comes to communication with multiple wedding vendors, so I truly appreciated Chad's proactive approach and felt like we were always good to go with the logistics around the band. (3) If you plan on doing a secondline then it is definitely worth it to get their all inclusive planning package. Chad carved out several hours of his time to work with the city to get our route finalized and on the day-of the wedding served as the primary point of contact with the police to ensure that the parade started on time. To sum it up, they made the process super easy and delivered on every aspect - it was a home run. #welovedtheband #DAT BAND FUNK YOU UPDAT BAND's reply:

James Sent on 09/16/2018Dis, Dat and De other. Dis is for five stars and Dat is for 'Let The Good Times Roll!' De other is for going beyond expectations. I am sure they are not just a wedding band, but for my daughters wedding, they made it happen. The bride and groom found the Dat Band after looking over available bands in the area on line. After speaking with Chad they felt they were the right fit for their wedding. I never questioned their decision. I had a very specific request for the father and daughter dance. I worked with Chad and he came up with an arrangement that was perfect. Everyone loved dem! You can't go wrong with Dat band. I grew up in the area, so I know that music is essential to the party! Small disclaimer - I have worked in the entertainment business for forty years, from clubs to major tours, for award shows and television, so, I know what it is be professional. Giving Five Stars for the Dat Band was easy. Cheers to Chad and 'crewe'!

I can't tell you how many people came up to us and asked how we found them since they were the best band they have ever heard at a wedding. We had fantastic communication prior to the wedding and I felt the band knew exactly how to cater to the crowd. This is not your typical wedding cover band. They play a variety of music and really engaged the entire party. Not only was our reception one for the books, but the second line band was also AMAZING! Dat Band does not disappoint! Do yourself a favor and stop searching and book Dat Band for your special day or event! -

One month later, our guests are still talking about how fun and interactive our band was, and how it really took the wedding to another level. We initially chose Dat Band because they were affordable, and seemed to give us the most bang for our buck. Throughout the process they were organized, accommodating, professional, and in the end, exceeded our expectations! They followed the structure of the ceremony and reception seamlessly, while still getting the crowd involved and keeping the entertainment level high. I will definitely sing their praises to anyone who will listen! Thanks again guys!
