Excellent bar service and set up

I engaged these folks to do the bar tending at my wife’s surprise 70th birthday party and they were outstanding. They arrived early, the set-up was professional and they were fun, courteous and hard working. They bussed tables and were able to make any cocktail that anyone wanted. It was an outside bar and right at 100 degrees, but they maintained a professional and fun attitude. We did manage to set them up in the shade.

I cannot say enough good things about these folks. I had a lot of positive comments from my guests about the crew. We had a large gathering of nearly 80 folks.

The “D” in Dagar’s stands for Delicious

We loved working with Dagar’s Catering! Their professionalism throughout the entire process was so reassuring. There wasn’t a question they could not answer or request they couldn’t fulfill. And they truly are a cater-to-you company! They worked with us every step of the way to make sure any dietary restrictions or needs were met. They did not quit until we were completely satisfied with our selections. I would recommend Dagar’s to anyone looking for an affordable and friendly catering service.

Amazing food and service!!!

Alanna and the Dagar's team were amazing! They provided catering, bar, and setup/takedown services for our wedding. They truly made our wedding possible and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Alanna was so patient and attentive during the planning process. The staff were so generous and professional, even with the unexpected rain leading up to the ceremony. Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic!

I have been to so many weddings where guests comments on food were that it was subpar “but no one goes to a wedding for the food.” I had so many of our guests come up to me during our reception and comment on how good the food actually was. Alanna was absolutely fantastic through the tasting and planning process. We had two guests with dietary restrictions and Dagars ensured they had plates that evening. The cocktails were fantastic and the price was very reasonable in comparison to other bids we were provided. I would absolutely recommend this company!

Highly recommend!

Dagar’s was such a great vendor to work with! Alanna was so communicative and above and beyond helpful in answering questions and managing changes leading up to our wedding. We catered 80 people with a family style service and had guests raving about the apple butter pork and all of the appetizers. The staff was so nice and friendly on the day of our wedding, always making sure we had water or a drink and making sure all of our guests had what they needed. They ran on schedule all night with toasts and the late night snack and we couldn’t recommend them enough!! We’re so glad we found them!

Delicious and professional.

We absolutely loved having Dagar’s as our caterer. Not only was the food delicious (our guests raved and raved, particularly about the brisket), but their staff was extremely professional and courteous. We also had a great experience working with the sales lead Alanna, who helped us curate the perfect menu for our wedding reception.

Loved dagar's

Dagar's was THE BEST. Their food tasted amazing, they were so responsive, I had a great tasting experience pre-wedding, and they set me up with Sugar Shaker Bakery for my cake which was also phenomenal.

We got so many compliments for the food - many people telling us it was the best food they'd had had at a wedding. The servers were wonderful and attentive. And everything ran so smoothly. God bless Dagar's!

Easy, Affordable, DELICIOUS!

My husband and I got married at the height of COVID last year so our wedding plans were majorly in flux. Dagar's was so incredibly patient and flexible with us as we made the tough decision to scale down our 86 guest wedding to a 14 guest wedding. We ended up choosing the beef tenderloin for our more intimate affair and it was INCREDIBLE! Our guests still comment today about how wonderful the food was - a rare thing indeed when it comes to wedding cuisine! People actually asked for seconds! They even took care of us for the next day packing us each a plate of leftovers. Such amazing service and food. Just hire them - your tummy and the tummies of your guests will thank you!

Dagar's is amazing!

We just used Dagar's for our wedding on 3/27/21, and couldn't be happier with our choice! From the beginning of the process Kathryn was very easy to work with - she answered all of our questions, made adjustments as needed and was super transparent. She even made sure we had a full out tasting in the midst of Covid.

It was honestly very hard to choose which items we wanted because everything we tried was so yummy! We ended up going with the Chimichurri Chicken as our main course, and OMG it was delicious! We got so many compliments from our guests! Their staff and service was outstanding as well, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

Dagar’s is the best!

I experienced Dagar’s catering at my niece’s wedding and couldn’t get over their professionalism and their delicious food! We wanted barbecue at my daughter’s wedding so we were a little concerned not to use a barbecue establishment for our food! Nevertheless, we decided to go wit Dagar’s because it was a turnkey business who did it all!! When I say they did it all, I mean it!! There were SO many times we said, “Who is going to do this?” or “ Who is doing that?” And we were alway so relieved when we realized Dagar’s was handling it! Working with Kathryn was a delight! She is personal , sweet, professional and helpful!! The servers and bartenders were also beyond friendly, helpful and professional!!! Now back to the barbecue! No barbecue establishment could have laid a hand to the taste of our meal that night! The meats, sides, appetizers and even the bread was out of this world! They helped make our night a huge success!! The reception felt like a five star restaurant! I 100% recommend Dagar’s!!!

The best food and bar service

They were so incredible and reasonably priced. Kathryn was so great to work with, she was extremely helpful. The food was amazing, from the appetizers and salads to the main courses. We had chicken and beef main courses and you couldn’t go wrong with either one. On the day of my wedding, all of the staff were super attentive and very helpful. The bar staff were so friendly and everyone had ease with ordering drinks. Frank was amazing and so friendly, can’t say enough about his hospitality. If you’re looking for catering for your special day, I would definitely recommend Dagar’s, they’re 10/10.

Fantastic experience!

It was a whirlwind planning a wedding during COVID and Kathryn at Dagar's helped us tremendously through the whole process! Our wedding reception went perfectly. Absolutely Recommend!

I was so thrilled with the service and quality of food that was served at our wedding. We did brisket and carnitas tacos with a pineapple salsa and onion marmalade. For our sides we did mac and cheese and potato salad. We got so many compliments on the food and the service. Communication was great throughout the entire planning process. I had many consultations with different caterers before booking Dagar and I feel they are very reasonably priced compared to most. My venue required me to book a full service caterer so they handled everything from set up to tear down. My wedding day was so smooth and stress free and I have Dagar to thank for that!

Delicous Food for Wedding

I did a lot of research before hiring a catering company for my wedding. I am so happy that I chose Dagar's. The company is very professional and communicated well with me. It included a free tasting. Also, I wanted gold flatware and certain linens. They were able to contract them out for me through another company.

The food was delicious! My husband and I chose brisket and fajitas (chicken and beef). Each entrée included sides and it was vast! My guests and I agree that the food and presentation was great! Our wedding was family style so it was great to see all my guests get served platters at the same time. Not to mention that my husband and I were served first and immediately, leftovers were packaged, and our parents were given a care package. Staff went above and beyond: they gave us water as soon as our ceremony ended and took appetizers to where we were taking family photos with the photographer. Drinks at the bar were good! They made a Grapefruit Spritzer that was amazing (Bride's Drink). We only had the Full Bar for 2 hours, yet coffee service was available. The only thing was after the bar closed and more guests were on the dance floor, water seemed scarce. However, I asked a staff member to bring more water carafes and he did.

Price is reasonable for EVERYTHING that is included! Hire Dagar's Catering!

Great service!

We hired Dagar's Catering (and their sister company, dna events) for all of our catering needs on our wedding day. It was easy to customize a package to fit our needs. We wanted appetizers for our cocktail hour from Dagar's, but we wanted Taco Deli to be brought in for our dinner. We wanted a full bar package, but we wanted to provide our own alcohol. Dagar's and dna events made all of this happen for us. Everything was easy to coordinate and they were there every step of the way to answer questions that we had. Definitely recommend!

Excellent customer service + flawless execution

Dagar's was so kind and patient the entire planning process and made everything super easy. I could not have hoped for it to go any smoother...honestly...I thought there was going to be issues left and right (I'm cynical), but it was perfect!!! I cannot say enough nice things about their staff. The woman (I cannot remember her name) who was helping me and my husband out throughout the night was AMAZING! She was so so kind and I never had an empty glass of champagne...it was perfect :)

The food was super tasty and the flip of the space from our ceremony to reception was flawless. I cannot believe everything went so smoothly. If there were any issues, I was not aware and they were easily taken care of. Dagar's has built a wonderful, family owned company and I commend them on their staff and all of their success. My dad is a small business owner, so I am fully aware of how difficult it is to surround yourself with reliable, helpful staff. And they have accomplished that, so congrats to you!!

Where to begin?! They are simply the best. If you're looking for a cater that does it all for the most for your money look no further. They did it all from the food, bar, and even our linens. They were also super patient as we took a long time to to sign our contract and even worked with our tight budget. My mom is vegan and they even made her a vegan plate. I was so impressed. The food was so good there were no left overs after our event. The bartender was awesome and friendly. Thank you Dagar's for everything!

Kathryn & her team at Dagar's really go above and beyond for their couples! We used them for catering (buffet style, with passed appetizers during cocktail hour) and bartending (beer & wine set-up package), and also rented several linens from them for our tables. They were SO easy to communicate with, and when the big day came around, everything from set-up to break-down was seamless and professional. They even made plates for us (the bride & groom) and served them to us before opening the buffet to our guests! We received so many compliments on the food, and we could not recommend them enough. I cannot say enough about Dagar's Catering and the great food and service at my daughter's wedding! They are phenomenal! They were SO professional from the first time we made contact with them! Katherine listened and communicated throughout the process and answered any questions we had. There were some specific things we wanted and they went above and beyond to make it exactly right! On the day of the wedding, Jennifer showed up with her team with such a sweet, accommodating, and professional attitude that I knew I could trust her to take care of things and I could enjoy the day! They were so efficient in the way they served our guests! Their setup was beautiful and they did so much to make sure the bride and groom, parents, and grandparents had what they needed so they could eat, enjoy the time, and visit with the guests!

And then the food! It was wonderful! So many people told us how delicious the food was and they made sure no one went hungry! They boxed up what was left and we were able to enjoy it the next day! There is nothing that they could have done better! It was perfect! My daughter and her husband could not believe all the special touches Dagar's was willing to do to customize the menu for them! We are so glad we went with Dagar's!!

If you are looking for a caterer that not only has incredibly yummy food but impeccable service then you found it!!
From the moment we walked in to our tasting until the very last minute of our special wedding day at Twisted Ranch Dagar's hit it out of the park! Most importantly Jennifer Hage is by far the BEST captain of all time! WE (bride, groom and parents) along with ours guests were totally amazed at the personal service and quality we received. We hired Dagar based on our budget and the spectacular reviews. I can honestly say, they were a pleasure to work with and exceeded our expectations tenfold. They really made the process fun with their extensive menu options, delightful tasting experience, and flexibility. We had their "southern comfort" lemonade service during a pre-ceremony time period, and all my guests RAVED about the lemonade selections. We then had three tray-passed appetizers and bar service during a post-ceremony hour (while bride and groom did pictures), and again everything was delicious and on point. We then had the beef tenderloin (with carving station), salmon, asparagus, beet salad, mashed potatoes, and bread. My guests are still bringing up how delicious everything was. Our bartender and service staff made sure the bride (myself) and groom didnt' wait in any lines and kept us fed and drinking the whole event. Do yourself a favor...hire Dagar! They're worth every penny and then some!

Dagar's Catering provided top quality food and service for our wedding reception. All of our guest were very impressed. My partner and I had no idea of where to begin or what we even wanted the menu to look like. We googled and went to websites and were informed that we needed to fill out a menu questionnaire to receive a quote. The we came across Dagar's. Rosalie was fantastic, she promptly got in touch with me and set up a face to face meeting with us. Before the meeting we received a menu so we could ask questions. This was important to us because looking at a menu and discussing it in person is entirely different. From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. Rosalie took the time to sell us on the menu and services offered. After hearing all the options we were able to pick the menu that suited our needs. They were always there to answer whatever questions we had before our event. The food and everything was fantastic. We would highly recommend Dagar's Catering.

Dagar's Catering was a wonderful choice for our big day. Kathryn knew our venue space very well and did a wonderful job of guiding us in regard to our guest flow, food and beverage placement, and food quantities. Later in the planning process, Rosalie was equally attentive, helping us finalize our catering and menu logistics with ease. Our guests loved the food at the wedding! We especially heard great comments about the Brussels sprouts, which was one of our favorite dishes as well. Most of all, we were especially thrilled with the level of personal care the Dagar's staff put in to ensuring that our families were well cared for. I would highly recommend Dagar's for any event where quality service is a high priority!

Dagar's was absolutely perfect to work with. They were focussed on our needs, and wanted to help us get what we wanted for our wedding. I never felt pushed into any decisions, and all ideas were talked about. They even worked with us to create a special cocktail for our day! They were also fabulous when it came to working with our other vendors, especially the reception venue. On the day of, the staff went above and beyond to make sure myself and the groom were taken care of. And all of our guests enjoyed the food! They even made sure we had to-go dinners ready for us when we got into our get away car at the end of the night. I would recommend them for any occasion, big or small!

We loved working with Dagars!! They were very prompt and efficient every time we talked to them. We worked mostly with Kathryn, but everyone on staff that I talked to was knowledgeable and I felt like they helped me make the best of my budget! Kathryn and her team our AMAZING! The guests at my wedding are still talking about our YUMMY food. Seriously , it was that good. She makes incredibly tasty items and even entertained a lot of customized options I wanted to play with - and frankly blew me away bring more creativity and talent then I could have imagined.

Kathryn is the ultimate professional and provided great service the entire way through - even wow'ing me at our first tasting with a special set-up. Her personality is take charge and I had ultimate confidence with her the entire way through....she just knows her stuff. Probably one of the most impressive things about Kathryn is her big picture nature -she may have been our caterer but generously provided advice and guidance beyond just catering that really helped me out -having such a leader among the vendors really helped drive the ship!

She was patient with me when I went crazy and kept me honest to budget I wanted to achieve - it was so great to have her as a sounding board and to bring the real when I needed it :)

At end of the night of our wedding, I found her and gave her a HUG. What she did for our wedding, I will forever be grateful. As you can see, I'm a HUGE fan. Borderlines obsessed with her :) So, look nowhere else and book Dagar's. The food, the service and price...and most importantly Kathryn, herself....can't be Beat. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Dagar's Catering of Austin catered our October 9th wedding at Ma Maison in Dripping Springs. We cannot be more pleased with the service we received from Dagar's. Kathryn and Rosalie worked so well with my family and our other vendors to ensure a flawless event. Our timeline went just as it should have and the dinner service was flawless. We had about 150 guests and they all raved about the food! The servers were so friendly and responsive - they made my groom and I feel like royalty the night of our wedding! The value of the service you receive from Dagar's is more than worth the cost. They handle the set up and break down and so many of the details that we did not have to worry about anything and could just enjoy our night. I recommend Dagar's Catering to anyone having a wedding or big event; you will not regret it!!

The food at our reception was awesome, it came out hot but not over cooked like you get at some weddings! They made the bride & groom and the parents of the bride a bag of food that had two meals prepared and some cake to enjoy after the wedding, which I thought was very thoughtful! The wait staff was amazing; everyone seemed to be smiling and happy to help when asked for something. I loved the lady who was taking care of my husband and I and I wish I could remember her name but she was very attentive and made sure I always had a drink in my hand and if I walked up to the bar the bartender knew my drink before I had to ask for it!

I can’t say enough great things about Dagar’s. We used them for both our bar and food service and they did an excellent job. Kat and her team were great about checking in with us throughout the months of planning and always very quick on response time. One thing I feel like everyone always complains about at weddings is the food. That it wasn’t that good or there wasn’t enough, but that was not the case for us. We had the smoked beef tenderloin with chimichurri sauce & smoked turkey breast. Amazing!!! People were telling me how great the food was (from some of our snobbier guests) and that most people went back for seconds. They were great about packing our extra food. It was packed up and ready for us to take home the night of our wedding. One of the many reasons we went with Dagar’s is that not only were they affordable, but they were also a preferred vendor at Memory Lane. This made things so much easier! I told each company who was doing what and they talked amongst themselves and delivered perfect results. I just showed up and had a great time. Would recommend them to anyone!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Dagar's Catering is! We got married on August 28 and Kathryn was the kindest person to work with. We planned our wedding from out of town and in only 4 months, but Kathryn was so kind in answering every single question I had (and I had A LOT)! The level of professionalism and customer service was amazing. Dagar's was easily the best vendor I used during my planning. When I first started looking at caterers, there was a bit of sticker shock at what some companies in Austin were quoting me. Dagar's had the most affordable prices and the food was SO delicious! They've been in the catering business for a while and our guests took notice because we got so many compliments. Even better, you can take the leftover food home after your event. You will not regret booking them! Thank you Dagar's for being a part of our big day!

Dagar's Catering recently catered my daughter, Natalie's wedding. We were very pleased with the ease and cooperation with which we were able to obtain exactly what Natalie desired for her Austin wedding. From the initial requests for a proposal to the completion of the wedding reception, Dagar's was very professional, efficient and easy to work with at every level. The food was amazing and exactly to order! The attention to detail was appreciated.
The staff provided during the wedding and reception were all professional and quick to cover each and every need.

This is a family run company. Their food is good and served hot. We chose to do a family style dinner, had appetizers passed out at cocktail hour and even used their bar services. It could not have been anymore perfect. My dad was so impressed with the BBQ that he was asking if they sold their brisket somewhere. Kathryn is a joy to work with. I will definitely keep this company in mind for future events.

Dagar's provided fantastic food and service to us, and I'm so happy to share my experience! We attended one of their tastings held at a venue in South Austin, and it was absolutely beautiful and helpful. Earlier this year, Dagar's decided to start holding their tastings at different venues every month to help couples out with their venue choice, and they had other vendors there for music, decorations, and cakes too. Everything was setup to give you an idea of what your wedding could look like at that particular venue, which I thought was incredibly smart. Kathryn, the president, mentioned how we were all going to want the get the mac & cheese bar for our wedding, and at first I was skeptical because it was just mac & cheese, but oh my gosh was it delicious! All of our wedding guests raved all night about how awesome and delicious the mac & cheese bar was, and my husband and I loved it because it tasted great and was something different than your typical wedding food. Their staff was so attentive to my husband and me all night, and they constantly checked in with us to make sure we ate or we got our drink or cake preferences, which was much appreciated. We especially appreciated that they packed food to go for us at the end of the night to make sure we got a chance to eat some of our own wedding food. Dagar's provided great service, great portions, delicious food, and a wonderful experience all for a great price.

We used Dagar's for our wedding this past May for our catering and rental services. I cannot say enough good things about Dagar's. Kathryn, our main point of contact, was extremely helpful from the beginning. We had met with other caterers and could not believe the prices many wanted to charge us. With Dagar's, we always got a breakdown of costs that were well within reasonable and we never felt like we were sacrificing quality. Kathryn always promptly responded to my emails and allowed me to make lots of changes to our contract as we went. I had originally though we would provide alcohol ourselves and as it became more obvious that the task would be too large, Kathryn kindly added the services to our contract and always made sure to send updates immediately. She also let me add things like a cake stand and a runner last minute which I would have had a meltdown figuring out myself. The food and appetizers at our reception were amazing and the drinks and bartending services were top-notch.

Now the real reason I love Dagar's is the amazing staff. Our wedding was a warm day and with all the rain we had been getting, it was extremely humid. In my 10-pound, multi-layer dress, I was certain during photos that I was going to faint. The catering manager on site (I'm so upset that I cannot remember his name) was so extremely kind and kept bringing me cold damp towels to drape on my neck and keep me cool throughout the night.

I would absolutely recommend Dagar's to anyone looking for catering services for their wedding!

I cannot say enough good things about Dagar's Catering. My husband and I heard nothing but good things from our friends and family - everyone was gushing over the food all night. As for service, we were blown away by the attentiveness of the staff. Our ceremony was outdoors in Texas in June (hot!!). Dagar's had a staff member waiting with glasses of ice water for my husband and I when the ceremony ended and were proactive about offering our family members hors d'oeuvres and drinks while they waited for pictures with us. All night long, they made sure we had everything we needed and were extremely courteous to our guests. When I met with other caterers in the area, I couldn't justify going with anyone but Dagar's. The quality and value were unmatched. Katherine was extremely reliable with communication and I always felt I could ask questions as needed, even if they might sound silly. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the Austin area.

Dagar's was a phenomenal service to work with. Kathryn was on top of everything, unlike other vendors I worked with for my wedding. I never had to remind her of anything we talked about which was breath of fresh air. My husband and I were greeted with cold water immediately after the ceremony and had our food to us right when we sat down. I am gluten free and never felt unsure about anything I ate. Our guests raved about the food! Thank you for making our wedding so perfect! Definitely take advantage of their complimentary tastings. The food is incredible.

If I could rate Dagar's higher than a 5 star, I would! The staff went above and beyond on our wedding day. They not only catered food for the wedding but they catered TO us (bride and groom) and our guests. Our guests could not compliment the food enough, it was exactly what we paid for and so delicious! We're still craving the crostinis! I would highly recommend Dagar's for your event's catering!

I cannot say enough about Dagar's! Their food was delicious (people went up for seconds), their service was excellent, and their prices were reasonable. Kathryn would literally respond to my emails in less than a few hours. During our wedding, Tracy and John made sure we were completely taken care of. No detail was overlooked. They even chopped our fruit for the sangria for us and put our menu cards on the tables. I am very impressed with Dagar's and definitely recommend them! Bar service was excellent too.

We worked with Dagar's for almost a year for our wedding this November. They worked with us every step of the way and were great at answer all questions in a timely manner. Everything from the first tasting to the night of the wedding was fantastic. We were really impressed with the quality of service and food the night of the wedding. I believe John was the manager at our wedding, and he was great. He along with his staff consistently ensured everything ran smoothly and that we were taken care of. The food looked and tasted AMAZING!!! We got several appetizers, bar service, and dinner through them. Everything was just perfect.!

We had to go with our approved vendor list for the venue at One World Theatre and were are so glad that Dagar's is on the list. From the beginning they are super easy to work with and hassle free. They didn't complicate the contract, which the other caters had. The food was delicious and the service was perfect. Our favorite part was the late night pizza at 10:30p that they had for our guests. That was a hit! I will definitely have them cater my next big event.

Kathryn is an amazing and wonderful lady and it truly shows throughout her business! All of the attention to detail and the little inclusions (water for guests upon entering, packaging leftover food, care packages for bride/groom and parents, etc) really show the level of care at Dagar's. I came in quite stressed out as all things not in my control had started falling apart and Kathryn quickly noticed and stepped into counselor mode and was able to completely snap me out of it. The catering manager and staff do a great job of making the bride & groom feel extra special during the event by serving our food to us and making sure our glasses never emptied all night! The food was exactly as we had requested and we didn't know until we saw the pictures that they actually hand carved our pork for our guest to ensure it didn't dry out! I would recommend Dagar's to anyone looking for a great event!

Dagar's professional experience is evident in every aspect of dealing with them. From planning to delivery they are unsurpassed. The food was incredible (as mentioned by all guests) the service time was great, 185 buffet guests in less than 20 minutes, and their staff was attentive and helpful throughout the evening.
They truly know their stuff. They have tastings in their kitchen so you can get an overview of the choices and they are great at making budget conscious recommendations. We modified via email a few times, and spoke on the phone as the date got closer. They also provided barbecue for our rehearsal that was great and they same level of exceptional service. If their were 10 stars they would have earned them.

Amazing Service! I will talk about the food but I want to first say how unexpectedly amazing the service was on our Big Day! Dagar's had a person assigned to the Bride and Groom to make sure we always had what we needed (be it water, food or beverage) Our wedding was in late June, so it was amazing to have someone ready with an ice cold glass of water always on hand for me and my wedding party. This person not only made sure I was always hydrated, but also my parents and grand parents! The food was also amazing! We had a limited budget, so it was essential to find one dish that would suite all 100 guests. Dagar's was so great in working with us to find the right combination that would work for everyone, including separate dishes for people with deadly allergies. After the night was over, the Dagar's staff helped to quickly clear the buffet, sweep and load cars with leftovers. We loved this vendor and would definitely recommend them for any special occasion because of their great service and attention to detail!

Dagar's catering was great!
The people who work there are wonderful. Every time I called or emailed I got a response almost immediately, and they were all so nice and friendly (which is important when you're dealing with an overwhelmed bride!). I set up a tasting and I told Kathryn what we were looking for and she was able to give us plenty of options to choose from. All of the options were so good it was hard to choose just one!
Then the wedding came and it went off without a hitch! Everyone was where they were supposed to be on time. The servers were all very professional and helpful. And all of my guests absolutely LOVED the food.
Working with Dagar's Catering was great and I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know.

Our wedding was in March 2013, and we used Dagar's to cater the reception. They were fabulous. We looked at a lot of caterers around Austin, and Dagar's was by far the most competitively priced. When we told other vendors our food budget, they scoffed at us and would always send us a bid far outside of what we had budgeted. Kathryn, one of the owners of Dagar's, was the exact opposite. She worked with us to create a menu that was well within our budget, even with the rentals and service fees factored in. And, to be clear, the lower price was no reflection of the food or service they provided. Everything was exactly how we asked for it to be. We had food stations that consisted of comfort foods, and everyone at the wedding commented on how great the food was, particularly the barbecue sliders. I worked closely with Kathryn, and she was very responsive and always followed up quickly on any questions I had. She also worked with us to personalize our menu to exactly what we wanted. The night of the wedding, her staff was great. They ensured that the groom and I had food waiting at our places so that we had a chance to eat during the reception. They also packaged up a care package and put it in our car to take with us at the end of the night, which was much appreciated after a long night of dancing!

Dagar's Catering was awesome! We liked everything about them! Frank was very responsive and professional. We planned our wedding on a short time-line. Initially, our wedding date was not open, but Frank was able to fit us into the date.

The food was delicious! We chose the brisket, smoked turkey, and sausage. Everything was so tasty. Everyone commented specifically on the sausage, potatoes, and beans. So good!

The service was excellent. At the wedding, they made a plate for my husband, the best man, and myself. They checked with us throughout the night to make sure that we had everything we needed. They got us drinks as well, which was above and beyond what they had to do. It was something that we didn't even know that we needed. We were so busy trying to talk to all the guests, that eating and drinking weren't foremost in our minds, but Frank and his crew made sure that we were taken care of without intruding at all. I can't say enough about how great they were!

I hired Dagar's for catering and bar services--they did not disappoint! The food was delicious. The drinks--including my specialty drink (Mexican martini)--were great! Kathryn was very responsive and answered all of our questions setting up the contract--we did buffet and bar set-up (we provided the alcohol, they provided everything else). Kathryn's husband ran the show at the reception. He was super helpful, friendly and never left us wanting food or drinks. He took great care of us so we had no worries all evening. This is a family business and they own their kitchen, equipment, and serving ware which saves you money from all the caters' rentals that would normally be passed to you.

The guests raved about the food and there was plenty leftover. Unlike other catering companies, they give you all of the leftovers. The service was fantastic! Their customer service was so so great; every email and communication was quickly returned with respect and kindness. We went with them because we were able to get a gluten free menu AND they worked with our budget. My MOH and I went to an open house at Dagars, and I was immediately sold. They provided so much in thier package deals, and were able to mold the menu to the theme I wanted (apples). The woman in charge (oops, I forgot her name) had great ideas to make the meal affordable for me, but delicious! We did family style service so the servers brought out hot portions for each table to serve themselves, and it was actually HOT! Usually when you are served a meal (even in a buffet sometimes) it is always cold. Bleck! But not this meal -- and it was outside and a little windy too. They were very professional and the food was GREAT! They made sure that there was a plate ready for my husband and I the minute we sat down after taking pictures.

Delicious food and professional staff

We did a buffet style dinner and it was great! Food was delicious and the line never got unruly. The catering staff was wonderful and professional. They even boxed up some leftovers for us which was so nice to have the next day!

Wonderful! Working with Kathryn was a dream. Military weddings can be challenging and these folks worked hard to help make my daughters day exceptional. I polled every guest (75 or so) and we had nothing but excellent responses! Thanks for all you did!

Dagar's food is absolutely delicious! All of my guests loved the crepe station and fajitas! I originally had some issues getting a meeting and tasting set up with Dagar's. I know that there was a lot going on in the manager's life at the time. So I do think that it was fluke that I just happened to get lost in the middle of everything else. However, they did give me a free tasting due to the issues we had which was very professional and helped me choose them for the event. After the contract was signed there was no issue with communication between myself, my wedding planner and Dagar's. John Dagar was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING at my wedding. He was so attentive and polite. After my husband and I walked out from the ceremony he immediately met us with glasses of water. Then, after we finished our pictures and were getting ready for our entrance he came and got our orders for what we wanted to eat and made sure our plates were ready for us once we sat down at our table. He continued this awesome level of service ALL night! I would use Dagar's again simply because of John's service standard! Even if the food hadn't been absolutely amazing!

I know that Dagar's sometimes gets mixed reviews...but they were great for us. They let us customize some of our menu and everyone thought the food was delicious! We bought our own alcohol but their servers were great! They keep food aside for the newly married couple to eat later - so thankful!!

We loved Dagar's! We dealt with Frank, who does the weddings for our venue. He was wonderful! He was a little slow in responding at times, but he more than made up for it at the wedding. After the ceremony, he was waiting outside for us with water and to congratulate us! It was so thoughtful!

The food was wonderful (so I heard... I didn't eat any of it because of nerves). It was beautiful to look at and we heard nothing but compliments from our guests.

I used Dagar’s catering for my wedding this month. I could not have been happier with the service and food. Their menu is vast and everything is delicious. We went to the tasting they hold every month and got to try a few different things to help us make our final choice. Rosalie was the sweetest, happiest person to work with. She really helped me feel comfortable and special. She even helped us with some centerpiece ideas! I got so many compliments on the food from our guests. I will definitely be recommending them to friends and use them again for any catering needs!!

Overall Dagar's was great. We chose to go through Dagar's for our food, bar, and table/chair rentals. They are full service and made our life so much easier.

I first met with Katherine for an initial consultation. She was very informative and detailed about the services they provide. She was also very familiar with our venue and had done several weddings there already. This put my mind at ease because this meant they had it down and I didn't have do too much in regard to overseeing what went where etc...

She walked me through the floor plan and options of where we could put things such as the cake, bar, tables, and buffet line.

We went to a tasting, which was great. I loved the experience of it and the opportunity to try various foods they offer. I fell in love with the poblano chicken...however, it didn't taste quite as good at the wedding as it did at the tasting. The white fish, however, was phenomenal!

Katherine was flexible and very helpful throughout the process. The only thing she didn't budge on was mixing up the menu for us. However, she did end up allowing us to have an option of two entrees for our guests. She also ended up throwing in champagne flutes for free at the last minute because I had forgotten about that minor details:/

The wait staff and bartender we had were great. They were service oriented and ensured everyone was well served.

I also feel that they did a wonderful job at setting up all of the chairs and tables and making my special day look great....thank you Dagar's:)

Dagars was the preferred vendor at our venue, so we went with them for our fajita buffet. Frank did an awesome job, and was very understanding when things ran behind thanks to an accident that caused traffic issues. I loved that, unlike many caterers, they let you take leftovers home with you since you have already paid for them. I used to be a cook at a high-end hotel in austin, and leftovers from banquets were taken away and given to the hotel staff, even though they were paid for! those leftovers came in handy, since we moved the weekend after the wedding!

Our venue offered four catering options, one of which was Dagar's. We ultimately chose Dagar's because they seemed to be the best value. Also, they have an extensive menu from which to choose. Overall, we were very pleased with the service and food on our wedding day. Our guests seemed impressed with the build-your-own pasta station.

The food was delicious! We went for a cheaper option on the chicken but it was fantastic. They also let us customise the menu when it came to choosing different vegetable options and or starch options. I also really enjoyed the tastings that they provided. The had a cocktail hour setting and brought around many different types of appetisers and meals to try so you could get a great view of what they could provide and the presentation was fantastic.

Katherine held many meetings with us to ensure we were completely satisfied with our food choices. Also, she provided the linens and center pieces which took a lot of responsibility off of our hands.

Keep in mind, I did not choose Daggar's catering for my final wedding caterer, but they were in the running. They have wonderful open houses, I highly recommend going to one of these before making your decision. In the end it was the cost that kept us from using Dagar's but the do seem to be service oriented. They were very polite whenever I called, but the open house I went to was so crowded, I didn't get to talk to anyone about services for my venue.

Dagar's catering was a nice choice and the food was delicious. The responsiveness from the caterer could have been a little more attentive and prompt. I felt the day of the wedding, the caterer was a little distant and rude. However, the servers were polite and professional. I do think Dagar's was a little too expensive for the service they provided but the food was very good.

Dagar's was recommended to me by my venue, and after deliberating over their menu choices I decided to go with them simply becuase they weren't over the top expensive. They have an open house that you attend to get a taste of their food, BUT it's not even gauranteed that you get to try the food you are actually serving at your wedding, which we didn't. It is also held at their meeting place where they meet potential clients which is very, very small. There was hardly any breathing room in there, and to be honest my favorite thing that we tried was the cake. And that isn't even made by them. Also, when we went for our initial meeting with them we were on time, early actually...and the lady who was there was meeting with someone else and kept us waiting outside (there is nowhere else to wait inside..it's way too personal and we would of been all in the other persons business) and she never even apologized for keeping us waiting or anything. She just eventually opened the door and asked if she could help us. The food at the wedding was ok, it honestly looked a little old like it had been ready for a few hours or more before it was served to us. I wasn't impressed needless to say. They did pack a togo plate for each of us which was nice, because we hardly got to eat at all at the reception. If you are on a budget then i would say that dagars will do, but if you can afford it..go somewhere else.

Dagar's was the recommended Caterer for my venue. We were offered a tasting on a week night 2 months before the wedding. We tasted a variety of food, most of which was on the high end of their menu--things we could not afford. I was a little disappointed that we couldn't taste our specific food items but we received an overall feel for their menu.

Our contact at Dagar's was out of the country for the month proceeding our wedding so our emails were returned by someone I was not familiar with. All in all, our guests enjoyed our food. The Caterer prepared plates for us but when we were served it was ice cold. Very disappointing.

My father also commented that he went back for 2nds and they had already cleared the buffet. Many guest would have eaten more had the food not been cleared off so quickly.

They broke contract 5+ times

If I could give this company a 0 star rating, I would. Dagar's was catering our wedding. Stephanie was my account manager. She does not car about her job, that she would not email me back, answer my messages, or talk to me about the details of my wedding. I have many unanswered emailed and questions. I decided to call the owner, and tell her that we wanted a new account manager that Stephanie was very unprofessional. The owner blamed me for not have Stephanie respond. She just kept saying that she hires only the best and that nothing was wrong.

I requested to have a new manager and she refused. The day of our wedding, the caterer was late. Our contract stated that we would have a manager on site and have 4 other staff members. We only received two staff members and NO manager.

We ordered ties for the cocktail tables. They did not bring the ties. When I brought this up to the owner, she blamed me. I had email communication to prove that I requested them to be ordered. Once again Stephanie dropped the ball.

They ask for a schedule. They brought out our cake 2 hours before it was supposed to be served. The guests got the cakes, and we were not able to cut into our own cake. When we brought this to the owner's attention, she said that the mother-of-the-groom said that the cake should be placed earlier. One, on the contract, it only said to speak to the bride. Two my husbands mom passed away 8 years ago. How sick is it that they blamed it on someone that was passed away.

We used Dagar's for the bar service. I emailed the company the week of the wedding, asking if guests could order just soft drinks at the bar. I was told yes. I have email proof. The bar tender told us that my father-in-law was cussing him out because the bartender would not give him a coke. Apparently that was not true. We had guests tell us that the bartender was rude and cussing them out over wanting sodas. I brought this up to the owner, and she said that bartender has had problems in the past..

We did not receive our care packages that were promised. We where told because there were no left overs. So the "complimentary" care packages are paid for by the groom and bride. So this is not complimentary.

Dagar's was supposed to bus the tables. Our reception ended at 10 and our contract said that Dagar's would leave at 11pm. They also was supposed to checkout with the venue. They left at 10pm, and my husband myself and our guests had to clean the tables. We also had got in trouble with our venue since they left. The contract said that my venue needed them to checkout at the end of the night.

When I brought this all up to the owner, she said that her team is having problems reading the contract. If we broke the contract we would have to pay a fine, but yet they can break the contract. I told the owner how upset I was that our reception was horrible. She once again blamed me and said that she could not turn back time. What a joke!!! This was a very import day for us and she acted like it didn't matter. We paid thousands of dollars to have horrible service. If you want to feel like a valued customer, do not use this service.
