Leon at Custom Cuisine Catering was my chef for a cocktail party of 60 people. From the moment Leon responded to my inquiry, I felt as though my event was in very capable hands! Leon helped me select a well-rounded hors d'oeuvres buffet to serve my guests. All the reviews you have read about Custom Cuisine Catering? They are ALL TRUE! My guests raved about everything Leon served!! Leon also has a lovely staff member, Robin, who is extremely professional and pleasant! The buffets were so elegantly set up and the food was beautifully presented. I am very particular about presentation, and of course, how the food looks and tastes. Upon request, Leon will also provide a bar assistant. Our bar was set up efficiently and my guests were nicely attended to. Leon, and his staff, cleaned everything up, both during and after the event. I was very, very pleased with Leon and his staff. VERY!! Custom Cuisine Catering will be my catering service for all of my events in the future! -

I would use them again in the future!
I was initially hesitant about hiring Custom Cuisine for our wedding, but I’m so glad we did! Although we were advised against a tasting, Leon and the team addressed all our questions and worked closely with me on my dietary restrictions to customize the menu. We had around 80 guests and quoted for 85, which turned out to be a great decision. We did have left over food, but this was to account for the other vendors.
For appetizers, we had Teriyaki Chicken Kabobs, Ham Biscuits, and a Fruit & Cheese Tray. For dinner, we enjoyed a Mixed Green Salad, Prime Rib Au Jus with Horseradish Sauce, Honey/Lemon/Rosemary Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, a Steamed Vegetable Medley, and Dinner Rolls with Butter.
When the food arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by its quality! Even my mom enjoyed the food, and she is always hard to please.The entire staff was professional and attentive, and the buffet setup was seamless. They assisted with cake cutting and boxed up leftovers for guests to enjoy later. Highly recommend Custom Cuisine for your event! -

Halvorsen wedding
Custom cuisine was great! I worked with them from Florida for my daughter's wedding in Virginia Beach. Very easy to work with. The food was Amazing. They had everything that was needed to make this occasion a successful event. They did a fantastic job! I highly recommend them for any of your catered events. -

Family Vacation Catering
We hired Leon to deliver 3 dinners on separate nights while we were vacationing at a Sandbridge Beach rental property. We had 25 people in our group and everyone raved about the food each night. There was enough leftover that about 1/2 the group ate it for lunch the next day. Leon was very easy to work with in the planning process and flexible with our special needs diets in the group. If we are ever vacationing in the area again, we will definitely call him first -

Excellent food and service for my granddaughter's wedding
I saw Custom Cuisine on Weddingwire and he had the best reviews so we called. Leon was great to work with. He had suggestions for food based on my granddaughter's fairly picky habits, was very open to suggestions and communication was good. When the big day came he was on time and prepared - more so than we were in some ways. LOL. The price was so reasonable, the food was great, and he and his staff adapted so easily to a not very well planned event. They had everything ready and in place. The staff was attentive and helpful, even clearing the tables, which we really did not expect, but very much appreciated. They packed up the leftovers for us (we overestimated numbers so there was quite a bit). I would highly recommend Custome Cuisine for any of your catering needs, and would definitely hire them again if I ever need a caterer. Thank you so very much Leon and staff for helping to make the event fabulous for my granddaughter and her new husband. -

Just what we were looking for in a catering service.
Leon and his staff catered a Friday reception and Saturday dinner for a Navy squadron reunion for 80 people. We were not looking for a fancy, wedding reception like caterer. Rather, we sought and received, value, top quality service and food, served in a timely, efficient, and professional manor. It was perfect for our needs, and we found Leon very flexible and accommodating to changes in the planning stage. -

Wedding Catering
Leon and his staff were fantastic. Planning a wedding during COVID was stressful but Leon made everything so easy and provided great advice during the whole process. They have sooo many food options to chose from which helped while building our menu - the teriyaki salmon was amazing!! Great quality service and great value for money. Would definitely recommend Custom Cuisine and use them again for any catering needs! -

Great Experience

Top Notch A+++++
Leon was such a pleasant surprise! I couldn’t believe his prices were Literally half as much As three other caterers I received a quote from. We had so much delicious food at our wedding and leftovers for the following week at the beach. He recommended his specialty appetizer, which were meatballs, and they were incredible. Everyone complimented the food and selection. Chicken cordon Blue, prime rib, crab cakes, shrimp cocktail, meatballs, and the fan favorite, bacon wrapped scallops; The perfect buffet. Why limit yourself to a plate, when you can have it all. Thank you so much Leon Eggers for the amazing spread you put forth, really making our special day even more special! Amazing Catering Service!

Amazing Caterer and Person!
We could not be happier with Leon’s work for our April wedding. The food was AMAZING and our guests loved it! To keep costs lower, we went with the Italian buffet. The Chicken Parmesan, Stuffed Shells, and Lasagne were all 5/5 Star meals. What surprised me the most was how juicy the Chicken Parmesan was! Every wedding we’ve been to before had dry and bland chicken catered!
On top of all this, Leon is very professional and easy to work with. He provides the info you need up front without the nonesense that a lot of other caterers give you. We appreciated his honesty and opinion. We can assure you that you will not be disappointed in Leon! -

Great! Food was delicious.
Custom Cuisine catered my 50th wedding anniversary on February 2, 2019. Leon and his assistant, Kathryn, were very professional. They arrived ahead of time, set up everything, kept all the food hot and replenished, and cleaned up afterwards. I didn't have to do a thing! Everyone told me how delicious and beautiful everything was. -

He cooks really good! We went to his house to have a tasting first and placed a deposit after. He is very flexible with the menu and price. The most affordable but excellent quality wedding food we found. He manage his servers properly, made sure all guests can be served and even packed a lot of food for us couple to bring home. He also gave me an option for the plates and utensils since it was cheaper if we get it and he gave a a good website for it. He’s definitely helpful and will recommend to everybody. -

Leon Eggers of Custom Cuisine was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the first phone call, I really felt like he cared. He worked with our budget constraints, and he was very flexible about working with our particular requests. I couldn’t find anyone else who came close to matching his prices. Who would have guessed that a blizzard would have hit the day before our wedding?! Leon was a trooper, and he was committed to making our special day happen, even though we faced a lot of new obstacles with eighteen inches of snow in a city that can barely handle one. Without his catering van or his staff, he still managed to serve a delicious dinner for a large crowd. We pitched in with some help, but he somehow kept everything moving smoothly. People really enjoyed the dinner. Our menu was an international buffet with Italian, Mexican, and Japanese stations. I’m very thankful for all Leon did for us that day. I highly recommend him, especially for those working on a budget. -

We recently hired Custom Cuisine to cater appetizers and dinner along with a chocolate fountain for our wedding of 120 guests at the Woman's Club of Portsmouth. Leon and his staff were so professional and friendly, not to mention the amazing food! I had several people from the wedding ask me who our caterer was and told me that it was the best meal at a wedding they ever had. The team was on time, the food was ready right when we had requested it to be, and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this catering company to everyone! -

Leon at Custom Cuisine made my wedding complete. Leon is very responsive but at the same time he is very reasonably priced. I can't tell you how many catering vendors we contacted only to get a $12K+ (yes I said thousands not a typo) for an appetizer, two sides and 1 meat. We provided Leon with our menu choices and it was priced well within our budget. We were able to get everything we wanted. Also his staff is very professional and nice. I would recommend this vendor to anyone who wants a nice catering event. Just in case you were wondering, my wedding was buffet with the wedding party being served only. P.S. A menu plus would be the mini chicken and waffles, green beans, parmesan fish tilapia, and the fruit skewers. Oh my they were delicious. Many of my guests are just raving about the food. -

Leon Eggers did a fabulous job of keeping within our budget, keeping us all at ease, and working well with our wedding planner (Ulla Capps) and the venue(Woman's Club of Portsmouth). I truly enjoyed working with him and am lucky we found him. He is great at keeping you at ease and giving suggestions for budget savings while still maintaining rave food review from our guests. Leon was great to work with! He totally listened to us and our budget and worked out an amazing deal for great tasting food for our 200 guest wedding reception. Low priced, responsive, polite, easy to work with
Leon is a great guy and is really flexible to work with. He responds quickly to emails and was quick to answer any questions I had. The price was relatively low compared to other catering services. At my event we ordered a southern style menu(pulled pork, chicken, green beans etc.) I wouldn't expect 5 star gourmet, but the food was fine and I really enjoyed it. Overall I would recommend Leon if you're on a tight budget but still want some decent food for your event. -

Son's rehearsal dinner
During COVID-19 Leon did and great job with being a one man team traveling to Richmond, VA to provide a tasty dinner for my son and future daughter in law's rehearsal dinner. Leon is always a pleasure to work with I have used his services on several events. -

Leon was professional. Food was fantastic. His staff lacked in all avenues. Bartenders had no clue. Bride and groom ended up behind the bar on numerous occassions. His servers were observed in the reception hall sitting and eating. Our "cake" was actually cream puffs and eclairs which were displayed and being served before dinner was even served. Overall not happy with this catering company. -
