Great caterer for a wedding !
Cowboy BBQ recently catered our wedding. The food was delicious, all our guests loved the grazing board.
Kim and Jason quickly replied to any and all of my questions throughout the wedding planning process. I highly recommend them for your catering needs! -

Amazing food!

A+ All Around
Jason and Kim catered our wedding last weekend and I cannot recommend them enough. Everything was absolutely delicious, our guests were raving about It and wanted to bring home leftovers, and they also helped us figure out options for veggie and vegan guests. We had the grilled chicken and pulled pork, everything, the sides, the service, the communication, was just A+. They made one of the most important choices for our wedding a very smooth and easy experience. Would absolutely work with them again. -

Best food, better vibes.
Jason from Cowboy BBQ was the star of the show at our wedding. He drove over 2 hours to set up an open fire pit and cook us some incredible food. Our guests raved about it, and still are! The quality is not suffered for the quantity - we were able to send EVERYONE home with leftovers, and took home two trays ourselves. The food was absolutely incredible -- I highly recommend the salmon, salt potatoes, and mac n cheese. Holy smokes, I'm drooling just thinking about it again. Worth noting that this is an incredibly affordable option and Jason is willing to work within your budget to design the right menu for your needs. Thank you so much Jason + team, for making our day delicious!! -

Must Hire!
If you don't choose Cowboy BBQ it's your loss! Jason, Kim and their entire staff were just awesome from the beginning. We went to do a tasting and they gave us extras and were just trying new jalapeno poppers and let us take some home. They are so responsive, answered all my questions and went above and beyond. The food is of course beyond amazing! Jason wasn't kidding when he said we would have leftovers... We got to enjoy the food the next and freeze extras! They put much so much time into prepping the food. Jason is down to earth and honest, we loved that. Our ceremony was at a different location and they brought our appetizers to that location for us no problem. He served me my plate and then carried it to the table for me so I wouldn't get anything on my dress. He checked in throughout the night and then touched base with us before they left. We highly, highly recommend them! -

Amazing efforts! SO happy with our choice
Wedding food is so important. It's something your guests will talk about in years to come. Move forward with Jason and his team, and your guests will only have GREAT things to say! Jason and his crew were so great to have at our backyard wedding. They were very accommodating and checked in with me before leaving the site, which I really appreciated. The food was out of this world, and really won the crowd over! -

Amazing food!
We had a small backyard wedding and we’re so thankful Jason was available. Communication was great and he was very accommodating. The food was AMAZING!!! Everyone that attended raved about the food!!! I think my nephew had 3 plates of food. -

A Must try!!!!!
Jason and his team catered our wedding 8/8/2020 and we got so many compliments about the food! From the first interaction the responses were quick and thorough. We added the french fry bar which was one of the best decisions ever! Even though the french fries were served during cocktail hour and we were off taking pictures, there was a huge pile of fries and all the toppings hidden for us to enjoy before being introduced - we actually pushed off the introductions to be able to eat because they were so good! The BBQ dinner was fantastic with the favorite being the mac & cheese - Jason even made my plate for me (does it actually get any better than that!?!?) ❤ Thank you so much to Cowboy BBQ, Jason Smith, and his team for the amazing experience for our backyard wedding! -

Top Notch Operation
Cowboy BBQ was a top notch operation up and down! From the planning to the execution, they were everything we were hoping for and more! life saver
We attended a wedding in August 2020 and they had Cowboy BBQ. We were astonished at how good it was. Fast forward a month and our wedding venue cancelled. Jason was my first call! He was so easy to work with and so accommodating!! Our guests called and messaged us to tell us how good the food was and to ask about our caterer. The food is absolutely amazing and he's affordable too! you can't go wrong with a cowboy BBQ!! -

Best bbq ever
My wife and I decided to go through with a wedding through the pandemic and finding a caterer was difficult with what we wanted. Luckily, she found Jason’s cowboy BBQ pop up several times, so she reached out to him. He was more than willing to provide services in an only 3 week preparedness (pandemic forced us into last minute decisions).
He drove over an hour to cater our wedding, set up shop at 10am to smoke food and prepare it so it was super fresh by the time we ate at 4pm. He was professional beyond measure. The food was literally so amazing that all of our guests keep commenting on it and asking how we found them. My parents, whom are chefs and a great cook can not stop raving about Cowboy BBQ food and how they did amazing.
The pandemic forced us to cancel our original plans, and thank goodness it did because we would have never had the opportunity to have found the most wonderful bbq you could ever ask for.
I highly suggest going through him- he will work with you, keep in contact appropriately, and is so nice and genuinely excited to do weddings, and I’m sure any event. -

Couldn't have been happier!
The crew at Cowboy BBQ led by Jason are the real deal! We had the best experience working with them last month. They catered our 75 guest outdoor wedding and it couldn't have ran smoother. The crew was there early in the morning and cooked all day and were ready ahead of schedule with appetizers for cocktail hour and dinner service. Everyone raved about the food and we had multiple people say it was the best BBQ they've ever had. The staff were super professional the whole way through. Jason the owner/operator was great to work with throughout the process. Can't say enough about how amazing the food was, these guys are pros! Do yourself a favor, stop fooling around and book these guys asap! -

Hands down best bbq around!
Jason really went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding meal was everything we could have asked for. We had a large wedding (250 people) and I did not hear 1 single bad thing said about the food/ service. Like any wedding, things can get a little hectic- Jason's crew worked hard and everything went so smooth. The food was absolutely amazing. (the mac n cheese is my favorite) Jason's staff got us our plates and brought it to our table. There are so many options on the menu the only issue you'll have is deciding which to pick. I highly recommend Cowboy BBQ for all your catering needs- not only is the food amazing, Jason is a great guy who really will exceed your expectations. -

Best BBQ Ever!
If I could give Jason and his crew 10 stars, I would! From the beginning of booking, Jason was helpful, professional and above all truly cared about making our special day nothing but perfect! Before booking Jason, we were worried about providing quality food for our large wedding. Jason and his crew knocked it out of the park and we received nothing but positive feedback and raves from our guests about the food! When the wedding party arrived to the reception, Jason came right over to offer appetizers and didn't hesitate to set-up a table and make sure the wedding party was fed while we were waiting to be announced. He was accommodating to our guests with certain diet restrictions and had both the appetizers and dinner ready on time, as scheduled! Even better than the food on the wedding day was the fact that Jason and his crew packed up and put away the leftovers so we could enjoy the food for the next few days! You are making a mistake if you think you will find anyone better than Jason and his team to make food on your wedding day! We are so thankful we chose Cowboy BBQ for our special day!

Great experience
The communication with Jason was great. Very responsive and helpful with ideas. The food was absolutely amazing. The wedding was a month ago and family and friends are still talking about it. The crew cleaned up and packed the leftovers. Recommend them 100% if thinking of a bbq for your wedding. -

Best BBQ in NY State!
WOW! The absolute best. Jason's BBQ is top notch. I drove almost 5 hours to taste his food for my wedding and ended up canceling 2 other appointments after trying Cowboy BBQ. It was that good.
Not only is the food excellent, but Jason himself is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. He does everything in his power to make sure you have the absolute perfect wedding day. He sets up early, smokes everything on-site, and unlike many other BBQ vendors I contacted, HE is the main person cooking your food on your wedding day. Rest assured, Jason will deliver.
Combine all of this with an affordable price... and Cowboy BBQ is the clear #1 choice. Our guests favorites were the mac + cheeses and brisket and I'm still hearing rave reviews to this day. BEST WEDDING FOOD EVER. Book Jason now!

Great people and wonderful food
Jason was really great to work with, he is very friendly and responds in a timely fashion. The food was amazing and they did a great job of making sure there was plenty of fresh, hot food for everyone. Another aspect of this company that impressed me as the bride, is that one of the servers held my plate and scooped out servings of food for me and carried it to my table. Exceptional service! We had Jason catering for my Daughters Wedding, We had a forest wedding...No running water or Electric, No Problem for the Cowboy, He did a great job! No issue the food was so good, every guest was raving how great the food was. We have the meatball sliders and a loaded french fried station for apps...Everyone loved it! and for dinner we had the pork, beef and chicken, with 5 sides...and everything was so good.. and the price was great too, I can't say enough about how great a job they did at this wedding..Thank you so much Jason!! Excellent. Hire them. Seriously hire them, choose your menu, tell them where to set up and you're done. They will take care of the food from cooking to putting it out to packing up the leftovers. Your guests will rave about the food. They did our wedding and I barely interacted with them on the wedding day. Everything magically appeared and after the wedding I had a refrigerator full of leftovers and most importantly the guests all raved about how fantastic the BBQ was. I will be hiring them again for sure. -

Our wedding was July 7th and we had 75 people attend. We went with pulled pork and chicken. There was so much food. Everyone was raving about how good the food was. Amazing service! We had Cowboy BBQ cater our 90 person welcome BBQ the night before our wedding and all our guests completely raved over the food! Jason and his family were so sweet and killed it with the entire meal. We had a variety of meat (plus an onsite grill) and a few sides and it was more than enough to feed our large party. Our BBQ was over two weeks ago and our guests are still talking about the food. We couldn't be happier with the service, value, and quality. -

We had Cowboy BBQ cater our wedding on 4-7-18. Everything was phenomenal and far outweighed our expectations. Through the entire process, Jason was professional, extremely flexible in fitting our specific needs, and easy to work with. On the wedding day, they arrived early to set up and their staff was very polite. Someone even fixed my plate and brought it to the table for me. We were nervous about hiring a caterer out of our county but we would highly recommend Cowboy BBQ to everyone. Wedding guests are still approaching us, commenting on how amazing the food was. Additionally, the costs were very reasonable in comparison to other caterers in our area. You will not regret this decision! -

Jason is a very nice and respectable person to work with. The food that his crew and him made was very delicious. The pricing was very reasonable. We had about 250 people. He makes sure that all your needs are full filled. I would recommend him to anyone that likes genuine BBQ food. -

After months of talking with and emailing another caterer visiting their location an hour away multiple times trying different menu items they forgot they had another wedding booked on our day. We happened to find Cowboy BBQ on the internet and gave him a call . I spoke to Jason on the phone and he reassured me that if I like the other place I would definitely like his better. Am I glad things worked out the way they did the food was Deliscious... he even offered a family favorite Rosa Marina. His barbecue sauce is amazing. Thank you for providing a feast for our guests that everyone enjoyed.

Jason did a great job providing the food for our wedding held a few weeks ago. We had decided to add a few appetizers to the menu last minute and he was very accommodating to that also. We were told throughout the evening from many guests that it was some of the best wedding food they had ever had and we couldn't agree more. Overall very happy with the services provided and would look to hire him again for future events. -

From the start Jason made booking our wedding easy. We talked back and forth throughout the year and he was very flexible with different food options we wanted. Jason always answered question in a timely manner as well! The prices were great and the food even better. Our guests are still raving about the food and we are still eating the left overs! Joe Kinney, a cowboy BBQ employee, came down the night before the wedding to start smoking meat and he was awesome. He jumped right in and helped with anything we needed and was truly an outstanding guy! Cowboy BBQ was truly the best! -

We had our wedding this Saturday on the family dairy farm. My side of the family is accustomed to more lavished style weddings but everyone, including my friends who spent $$$$$$$ on their wedding were blown away with the food Jason served! My friend said "Why didn't we get bbq for our wedding! This is amazing!". The food was absolutely amazing. We had 250 guests and not a single complaint. Nothing but raving reviews. My husband and I got married down by the river and had a lovely reception up on the lawn. While everyone was enjoying appetizers we were taking pictures. Jason sent down appetizers for our bridal party and made a point we got them. Then dinner was served and Jason and his team made a point to bring the guys milking cows food! It was amazing. They were excellent. They even packaged our leftovers and put them in the farmhouse. We are in love, with Cowboy BBQ. -

Cowboy BBQ catered my wedding this past weekend and it was AMAZING!!! We had so many compliments on the food. Even some of our friends/family who are very critical of food, told us how much they loved it. I have never liked baked beans or pulled pork and decided I would give it a try because everything else was so good, and I really liked them! I would highly recommend them for any event, and look forward to eating their food again!! -

People are still talking about the food!!!! The food, the price, the decorations, and the people fit perfectly with our fall country wedding. The pulled pork, the BBQ sauce, the juicy chicken, all the sides! Everyone raved about it! We could not have asked for anything better. Jason Smith and his team did a wonderful job.
The whole process leading up to the wedding day was smooth as well. The price per person is very reasonable. Jason and I spoke a few times throughout the course of the year to make sure everything was in order- and it was! You can tell Jason is very dedicated and prides on his BBQ! GREAT JOB COWBOY BBQ!! We would recommend you to anyone- already have!!!!! -

Jason and his crew at cowboy BBQ are the best. They catered my wedding at MKJ Farm on 10/1/2016. We tasted a bunch of BBQ and once we tasted Jason's BBQ we stopped tasting and booked him. His BBQ is phenomenal. My guests wanted to purchase our leftover brisket because its so good lol. Jason is laid back and willing to accommodate you and make your day worry free. I had hired MOEs to come and do a chip and dip bar as my appetizer. I also had Jason cook 200 wings. While we were killing time in between the ceremony and reception it was brought to my attention that Moe's never showed up to set up the chip and dip bar. Jason recognized that I had hungry people and jumped to action and cooked 300 more wings to hold over my 200+ guest until dinner. I appreciate his quick actions so it made something that could have been a huge deal into something that was more like a speed bump. He's a simple country guy but his BBQ packs amazingly complex, delicious flavors. Definitely give his food a try before booking anyone else for BBQ! -

Jason Smith and Cowboy BBQ provided the catering for my wedding at MKJ Farms on July 24th, 2016, and it was the best BBQ!
Jason was very quick at responding to us when we first started to look for caterers for our wedding. He arranged for me and my fiance to come taste his food a party he was catering. We got to taste the beef brisket, ribs, potatoes, coleslaw bake beans. When it came time to select a menu, it was very hard, but Jason was instrumental in helping us select what would work for all of our guests (meat eaters and vegetarians) His price was extremely fair for the large amount of food.
I remember calling Jason a week before the wedding complaining about how many guests dropped off and he calmed all my frustrations. We got so many compliments throughout the night of how wonderful the food was and even had leftovers! Which most of our guests took home.
For our appetizer we chose the smoked wings, meatballs and pasta salad. For dinner, we had beef brisket, ribs and chicken for the meat then for sides, garlic potatoes, coleslaw. He is friendly had more than willing to work with you to get the timing right and make the day work.
Could have not asked for a better caterer. I hope to taste his food soon again.

Jason was great to work with for my wedding over the past weekend! We did the Brisket, Pulled Pork and BBQ Chicken, Corn on the Cob, and Salt Potatoes! We had a family member do the other sides, but I had several compliments from guests and family members! It was the best BBQ I have ever had! Jason was very quick at responding to emails and texts! Brought his own tables and supplies! Cleaned up after and bagged up the left overs for me! I would highly recommend Jason and his crew to any event! I know I will use him again! Thanks again Jason! -

I had called approximately 7 other catering services with not one response, then I happened by chance to see an web page for Cowboy BBQ. I called, and got an immediate response from Jason. He was very courteous, flexible, and so amazingly helpful planning every detail for our day.
We had about 7 months or so before our wedding, and he kept contact with me through-out the entire time. Making sure I was happy with my menu choices and if I needed anything special or anything out of the ordinary, right up to the day of our event.
The day of the Wedding, pictures ran longer than expected and we ended up eating an hour after it was scheduled. Jason and his crew never batted and eye, they were on top of their game and when the food was served for our guest it was not only delicious it was HOT. They really had their work cut out for them, ensuring the food was done to perfection even though my scheduling was way off.
We chose beef brisket, pulled pork, fruit salads, salt potatoes, corn on the cob. all cooked on site. Let me just say the food was Incredible !! All of our 100 or so guests raved about the food, and everyone wanted a plate to take home.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and will be calling them again for any other event I will be having in the future.

Jason has catered a few events for me. The food is fantastic, he's always on time, he listens to what you want and does a fantastic job. His BBQ is the best in the area by far and I've had everything from Syracuse to Utica and in between. I highly recommend him for any event. -

We had brisket and chicken for the meat then four sides. He is friendly had more than willing to work with you to get the timing right and make the day work. We had some of his smoked chicken wings for appetizers and I asked him if he would save some for the wedding party. When I sat down after introductions he brought over a little over a dozen wings for us. They were the best wings ever. -

Jason went above and beyond for our day! He was accommodating when I changed the menu a few times and made extras for the wedding party to taste test. Everyone raved about the food and were fighting over the leftovers as the night ended! He was definitely worth every penny and even helped the bride with her plate so she didn't get any food on her while traveling to her table. His presentation was excellent, his food was hot, even though dinner was later then planned, and put out an array of appetizers that our guests went on and on about the quality of and said they were almost too full to eat dinner! I would absolutely have him again for any big party I plan! -

Our daughter's wedding was on October 22, 2016, it wasn't the best day, as it rained for 3 straight days, but having said that, the FOOD was awesome!!!! From the very beginning of the planning stages we always had immediate response from Jason, Cowboy BBQ owner, and that was very important!! The variety of choices is outstanding!! Our appetizers were awesome, for an example, I had a lot of people telling me the mushrooms and chicken wings were amazing!! We were very satisfied with the food and would use Cowboy BBQ again!! So it rained and rained, we had a WEDDING, ate great food and partied like it was the only thing going on in the world!!!! Thank You, Cowboy BBQ, the bride and groom couldn't have been happier!!!
