Creative, expressive photos

Hiring Joe Tighe as our photographer was among the best decisions we made. When we had our introductory meeting with Joe, he cemented our interest in working together when he talked about his documentary/journalistic-type style: emphasis on natural moments rather than the staged ones. And did he deliver!

Our photos depict the narrative of our day. Obviously we love the pictures of us and those with our wedding party. But my husband and I especially love the ones from the cocktail hour, onward. Looking through them feels like getting to experience our wedding from our guests’ perspective in addition to our own.

And we’re not the only ones so enamored: My MIL couldn’t stop talking about how creative all of the shots are. Everyone in our wedding party who spent time with Joe complimented our choice of photog. One of the groomsmen, who is engaged, even said he wanted to fire his wedding photog and hire Joe instead - and I really think he would have if his fiancé would’ve been willing to lose the deposit they paid. He has mentioned it to us a few times since!

If you’re still reading and questioning this decision, let us assure you that you won’t regret it - hire Couple of Dudes!

So thrilled with our photos!

I knew I wanted to work with Joe immediately after speaking with him. He has such a calm and relaxed presence and clearly knows his stuff. I was relieved to find someone I trusted immediately and knew would be a good fit. He is a great communicator and made the whole process a breeze. His photos capture the emotion of the day so well and are uniquely composed. I love all of our photos so much - they are unique and authentic and capture the spirit and love of the day so well. We have some amazing candid shots of my family that I'll cherish forever. I can't recommend him enough and am so glad we were able to work together.

DeepWell Does Very Well!!!

Joe was totally amazing. He's such an easy person to be around. Throughout the booking process, he had great patience and respect for us, quick responses, and great ideas. We could tell right away that he is a total pro and confident in his skills.

During our wedding, he was awesome. Very calm and relaxed in a way that helped us feel so at ease and present in our day, knowing we had made the right choice of photographer to document our wedding in a beautiful and authentic way. He kept offering to help us with all the things throughout the day and seemed to know just when to add direction and help us feel our best in front of the camera.

When it came time to review the images, we were absolutely blown away! They were so beautiful, raw, and full of emotion. I can't believe these are the images he created from our wedding! I was there and it never looked this beautiful. To know that we have such incredible memories to turn back to for the rest of our lives is just so wonderful!

I can't wait to work with Joe again once we start having kids and growing our family. I just know that his vision of the small moments will be the perfect way to remember those early years!!!

Couple of Awesome Dudes

When I came across Couple of Dudes Photography, they checked all of my boxes for photography style, positive reviews, photobooth, and personality. Photography was a high priority for me, so I needed to find the best and that's what I received with Couple of Dudes. I look at my pictures every single day, I am so in love with them! Joe was my main photographer and Paul was our second photographer. I explained to Joe to importance of taking pre-wedding photos at my house, since it was also the place my mom took wedding photos. He did an amazing job of capturing my favorite spots in the house and recreating some of my mom's wedding photos. Paul took some great candids of the groom and groomsmen while at the groom's parents' house. We chose our venue because of the beautiful grounds, but when it started raining, I was worried I'd miss out on having pictures outside. That did not stop Joe and Paul from taking gorgeous pictures of us in between the rain. Joe even walked us back to where our ceremony was supposed to be under the arch my husband made and snapped some of my favorite pictures there. During dinner and dancing, they blended in so well, I forgot they were there! Our bridal party loved how comfortable they made even the formal pictures feel.
The add-ons I chose were the polaroids and the Grin Shack. The polaroids were great because I receieved them at the end of the night! Our guests had a blast with the Grin Shack, too. We provided some props, but Joe also brought a big trunk of things.
I received the highlight images about a week after the wedding! I was expecting them to take longer. I will be suggesting Couple of Dudes to anyone looking for professional photographers.

Highly Recommend Couple of Dudes!

We used Couple of Dudes for our engagement and wedding photos, and both were wonderful! We really enjoyed working with Julian, who's so down to earth and makes you laugh throughout stressful moments. In addition, Kevin was great and made us feel relaxed as well. They understood what vibe we were going for with our photos and help brought that to life. Highly recommend them for all future wedding couples!

Incredible!!

Couple of Dudes was an amazing company to work with for our wedding photography. Not only was it a joy from the start to book them (I had at least a half hour phone conversation with the manager, laughing and joking and having fun the whole time), but the whole process of making an event schedule and getting ready for the wedding was a breeze.

Julian did an incredible job with our photos. We were able to hire him to come to the rehearsal dinner as well as the wedding, and I'm so happy we have those memories captured to look back.

Julian was fun and professional to the nth degree; despite a very unexpectedly eventful hotel stay (due to circumstances outside his control) the night before the wedding he still showed up and did a beautiful job. He made sure to stay until the end even though it was past time for him to leave so that he could photograph my Dad playing with the band. He was able to put everyone in a really happy, agreeable mood for portraits, and help us laugh and relax on what can be a stressful day. Our gratefulness shows in the photos. That kind of laid-back, relaxed, yet precise approach to photography is why I chose Couple of Dudes in the beginning, and Julian absolutely delivered on their promise.

Simply the Best!

We absolutely loved working with Joe at Couple of Dudes. He immediately made us feel comfortable in our early phone conversations and at our engagement shoot. We felt like we had known him for years--mostly because he cared so much about capturing what was most important to us. On the wedding day, they captured so many beautiful moments. We didn't have a videographer and honestly, with the pictures they took, we didn't need one. They were out on the dance floor with us, at the after party, and really shared in our special day. It truly felt like they were old friends and we're just so happy for us. I cannot recommended them enough--especially if you want your day captured vs. portrait pics...which we did too for the parents :) ABSOLUTELY USE THIS AMAZING COMPANY!

Amazing Experience & Product !!!

Emily felt like one of the family on the day of the wedding. She seamlessly integrated herself into the day and took the most amazing shots. We originally went with Couple of Dudes based on a recommendation of their work - and wow we were not disappointed! They worked with our budget and gave us everything we wanted. I am so impressed how many pictures Emily was able to capture by herself the day of the wedding. She covered everything. We are so glad we chose Couple of Dudes for our big day!

Joe is amazing!!

I knew when we first started planning our wedding that I wanted to work with Couple of Dudes based on their photography style and a previous wedding that they had shot at Crested Hen Farms. We had initially hired Julian as our photographer, but when he could no longer shoot our wedding due to an accident, Joe stepped right in and saved the day! He was so down to earth and great about making me and my husband feel comfortable in front of the camera. We opted for two photographers and were so happy we did! Both Joe and Kevin captured some beautiful photos, despite the nor'easter that we had! Could not have imagined our day without them. We loved working with Couple of Dudes and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for amazing photographers who are also incredible people!

I'm not one to write reviews, but Joe Tighe from Couple of Dudes Photography did such an amazing job as our wedding photographer, that I would be so happy if this helps to persuade any bride (or groom!) to hire him.
I'll start by saying that Joe lives in Chicago. My husband and I live in New York. After one or two phone conversations to get to know each other & discuss the wedding vibe/photography style we were going for, Joe offered to DRIVE the 12 hours to our wedding venue..need I say more? We also wanted a very specific type of photographer...none of that stereotypical cheesiness, hand holding while making heart shapes, etc. We just wanted our personalities and our day to shine through photos in a genuine way. It was also really important to find someone that made us feel super comfortable. Joe has no problem in that department. He's probably one of the nicest guys you'll meet & loves his job, you can tell. He immediately put me, my husband, family and friends at ease in front of the camera. Half of the time we actually forgot that he was even there! In terms of the final product - my husband and I were both at a loss for words when we received our photos. Joe completely captured the essence of our wedding day and totally portrayed who we are as a couple...the photos he took literally brought our wedding day to life again. Also - an amazing surprise that we received from Joe is the audio recording of our vows. We chose to do a first look, and read our vows to each other in private without a videographer to capture the moment. As a spur of the moment idea, Joe had actually put his phone on the ground near our feet and recorded the whole thing! We didn't realize until afterwards, and were so touched that he had thought to do something like that for us.
If you're reading this Joe, thank you for being the best wedding photographer on the planet. You really exceeded our expectations and whoever you shoot next is great hands! THANK YOU -Rachel & Zack

Working with Emily throughout the whole wedding process was great!! We met a few times before the wedding to talk a bit about what location & stuff but mostly we got to know each other! We connected instantly and we 100% trusted her to capture our day!
The day of the wedding both her and Pavel were amazing! They worked together to get the best pictures and they were on top of everything including the schedule!
Based on our experience and the quality of our photos, I believe that Couple of Dudes is worth the price! These photos accurately portray our big day & i wish we were relive it again and again!

You will LOVE Joe. It will be the best wedding decision you make to have Joe be a part of your day. He is friendly, accommodating, flexible, KIND, and anticipates your needs (he brought me wine when I needed a quick break away from the fun, and stole my husband and I away from a talkative guest to get a moment alone together to just enjoy our new marriage!). He managed the timeline, the amount of photos we wanted, and did so with the best personality. He figured us out as a couple quickly (we met him in person the morning of our wedding!) and knew exactly when to direct us and when to slip into the background.
Honestly, Joe received the highest compliments from our guests. "Your photographer was amazing! Having so much fun!" and "Wow- we can't wait to see the pictures!"
The photos are beyond beautiful- I didn't even know I could become so obsessed once we received them- but going through them is like watching your wedding day unfold before your eyes. The candid photos are so pure and capture the love that everyone felt that day. Joe works extremely hard, but all you see is him having the best time and celebrating your love alongside your friends and family.

I cannot say enough good things about Couple of Dudes! The amazing thing about them is how flexible they are. Because we had our engagement photos during the busy wedding season (October) the album was going to take a little longer than I anticipated to be edited. When I had the opportunity to get a really great deal on the save the dates I had been eying, I called Emily and she made sure that we got had the 4-5 pictures we needed THAT SAME DAY!! I was able to order my perfect save the dates and save a ton of money with Emily and Joe's help! The finished album was well worth the wait and I am beyond thrilled to have worked with such wonderful people!

Couple of Dudes Photography was an excellent photography company to work with. I knew on my first call with Joe Tighe before booking them that they were the photography company I had to work with! My husband and I hate being in front of a camera, but Joe made us feel so relaxed and knew how to make us do the right things to capture a beautiful moment. They also did a phenomenal job capturing so many candid moments at our wedding. Looking through all my photos gave me a flashback of the entire day because everything was captured so well and just like I remembered. Also, Joe is such a great guy! Everyone at the wedding LOVED him and to this day people tell me how he wishes he was part of the family or in our group of friends. And Emily is fantastic to work with! She helped coordinate logistics and was so willing to answer the billion questions I had leading up to our big day and after!

Joe is amazing. As was Emily, the studio manager.

I was really trying not to break the bank on my wedding, but knew exactly the style of photography I wanted. Of the 10 or so quotes I received from photographers I liked, Couple of Dudes was one of the most reasonable. They also worked with me to meet my price point. I scheduled Joe over a year before my wedding. Then, literally a month before my wedding, I realized I scheduled the wrong day! We had initially thought about having our wedding on a Saturday, but then moved it to the Sunday, and I hadn't told Couple of Dudes. Emily immediately put me at ease, telling me that they had backup options, but ultimately, Joe was free on the Sunday of my wedding so he was able to do it! They handled this very professionally, which I truly appreciated. Then... the actual event. We drove around Chicago with Joe and took pictures at some of the places we had spent early on in our relationship. He was fun to be around, and very easy going. It was a pleasure to spend the couple hours before the wedding with him. And lastly.. the end results. Our photos are amazing. The little things, like the shots he got of our neighborhood while he was waiting for us, or the dog in a backpack we saw while driving around the city, will be such treasures that we will cherish years to come.

Julian (an associate Dude) was our photographer and we really couldn't have picked a better one! He was very nice and willing to take whatever shots we wanted. I don't think I could recommend Couple of Dudes (or Julian) enough! More than worth the money!

We cant say enough good stuff about Joe. For me, finding a photographer who matched our style was the most important vendor to research when wedding planning. We were so excited when we found Couple of Dudes work, and even more excited when we met Joe. He took the time to drive out to meet us to get to know us and answer our questions. He was so down-to- earth and seemed genuinely excited about our wedding, which made us even more excited for what we had planned! He hired Pavel as our second shooter, after meeting him and thinking he matched our personalities and the vibe of our wedding (he was totally right!) We really trusted Joe's judgment and advice. For example, he told us to “think about the big picture” (evident in his photos! He pays attention to the details but you don’t get lost in them- the photos are about the people and the emotions of the day). He also told us “make your back up plan something to get excited about” which we really took into account and ended up making me significantly less nervous about if it were to rain!
Joe really is the type of person you wanna hang out with- while of course we wanted to get to the wedding, we were in no rush to finish pictures because we genuinely enjoyed ourselves. He was great with keeping us on schedule, but more importantly he seemed to really ‘get’ us and pick up on the small things that would make us laugh, which shows in our pictures.
Honestly Joe really seemed to have fun, which made it so natural to be ourselves around him. Our guests loved him, and we have some great shots because he made it out on the dance floor and danced around with us! Joe even ended up being our driver too! He was ready to go above and beyond and we really appreciated that.
Also! If you’re thinking about doing engagement pictures, do it! It helped to get to know our photographer and for him to get to know us. And if you're thinking about doing the grin shack, do it! Our grin shack photos were such a hit and hilarious :)

Wow! We were so psyched to have been able to work with Couple of Dudes, the Joe Tighe Dude in particular! Joe's style is really inviting and comfortable, and everyone loved him as a guest just as much as they loved getting their photo taken by him. As a somewhat timid lady, I tend to be camera shy - but Joe made my husband and me feel natural and cool in front of the camera. And the outcome was stunning! Working with Joe made our wedding day even better! I knew when we first started planning our wedding that I wanted to work with Couple of Dudes based on their photography style but never could I have imagined how amazing and kind Joe would be. Joe was very helpful and easy to work with in terms of planning and I had no worries when it came to our day of schedule. He was so great about making me and my now husband feel comfortable in front of the camera as well as relaxed the night before during our rehearsal dinner. I was really overwhelmed at one point and Joe knew exactly what to say to help me relax. We opted for two photographers and were so happy we did! Alicia worked with us as well, and between Joe and Alicia I know we have some amazing photos coming our way. We spent a few hours together between our ceremony and reception taking photos and both Joe and Alicia had great ideas for shots as well as making everyone feel relaxed, comfortable, and enjoying themselves! Our guests mentioned how nice they both were and it was easy to see that they were both pros when it came to blending in but still getting the shots they wanted during our reception. We just received our "highlights reel" and as I went through the photos for the first time, it brought me back to our amazing wedding day they did such an amazing job capturing. I'm having trouble deciding which photo is my favorite! We loved working with Couple of Dudes and will recommend them to anyone and everyone that needs a photographer.

Emily Madigan is a star in her craft. She went above and beyond from the time we met for our initial meeting (she literally chased my rambunctious one-year-old around her studio while engaging professionally and acutely in conversation about my upcoming wedding) to the questions I had about downloading final digitals. Emily's work, especially her portrait work (it is exceptional!), speaks for itself. My husband and I had a less than a traditional approach to our nuptials, and Emily asked us key questions -- saving me from the stress of explaining every single detail for the thousandth time to a vendor --that lead her to capture precisely what we wanted to remember. She did additional research to outline a plan for our photography session that was time-efficient, relaxed and unforgettably fun! Received the first set of photos last week, and my husband and I both are way less productive at work as we lose track of time reviewing them. If you couldn't guess, I highly recommend Emily and her company, Couple of Dudes for your special event.

We cannot say enough positive things about Couple of Dudes photography! We were lucky enough to have a friend recommend Joe for our engagement and wedding photos. We loved their photos and scheduled a meeting with Joe to discuss the opportunity to have him do our wedding as well. We met at his studio to go through his past work and make sure we were a good fit. From that very first meeting, Joe made us feel extremely comfortable and we knew right away we wanted to have him take our engagement and wedding photos. We could not be happier with the choice! I had never had professional photos taken before and was extremely nervous that my fiancé and I would be awkward in front of the camera. I could not have been more wrong. Joe was amazing – he made us feel completely at ease and we ended up laughing the entire time. We also used his assistant, Emily, for the wedding who was amazing as well! We would often look up at the wedding and find one of them just out of sight capturing unique candid shots. We wanted a good mixture of “artistic” photos and also the typical wedding shots and Joe and Emily could not have done a better job! THANK YOU!

My husband Tee and I were so fortunate to have Lawrence as our wedding photographer. Even though we only contracted CoD for our wedding day, Lawrence met up with us two weeks before the wedding at our ceremony location, Vassar College, to scout out the premises and get to know us as a couple. That day, we managed to identify our first look location, take some photos, and set up a game plan for the wedding day which was really helpful with planning. He even inspired us to get access to the Vassar greenhouse for some awesome photographs on our wedding day! Needless to say we have wonderful shots in a variety of different settings and locations to remember our big day. We loved Lawrence's creativity with digital and film photography, as well his easygoing personality. In the weeks immediately following the wedding, both Emily and Lawrence at Couple of Dudes have been really responsive in sending us wedding teasers and photo updates. We are really happy with the service and look forward to receiving more photos. We highly recommend this company to everyone!

Could not have been happier with our Couple of Dudes experience and final photos. Our photographers Emily and Sara felt like part of our family that day. They were innovative with their pose and location ideas, and at other times just blended in the background and took shots I would have never thought to get. The entire process felt natural and you can see that in the final product. Our photos are filled with love and rich memories, just like the wedding day. Highly recommend this team for your wedding or any special event!

Joe and Emily were amazing. We absolutely loved every minute of our interactions with Couple of Dudes. Both photographers were super charismatic and made it so easy to relax and take great laid-back pictures that captured the mood of the day without forcing us to pose or do anything that made us feel awkward. It was important to us to have casual pictures that showed our personalities, and Couple of Dudes presented us exactly how we imagine ourselves.

We went for the package that included engagement photos and the GrinShack and loved every picture that we got. Just take a look at their site to see the incredible photo quality. Joe and Emily captured every moment of our wedding and you would think that there were 4-5 photographers at the wedding instead of just 2 photogs there based on how many important interactions they caught.

We loved the style of photography that Joe and Emily practice and I can't think of a single thing that they could have improved on. The colors pop and lighting looks great, and they paid close attention to all the details we didn't have time to savor during the wedding. It was an absolutely perfect match for us. As they told us, having Joe and Emily shoot our wedding felt just like having two extra friends added to the guest list, rather than just some photography company. Overall an amazing experience. 10/10, would use them again, and already have recommended them to all our friends!

My fiance and I wanted something unique for our engagement pictures, since we don't plan on hiring a wedding photographer. Lawrence gave us an amazing set of photos (both digital and film!!!) that we will always be able to look at with huge smiles on our faces. He was super flexible and came prepared, knowing what he wanted to accomplish in our given time (which was awesome because it was below freezing outside). I would highly recommend Couple of Dudes for your special occasion, and couldn't be happier with our photos.

Joe is awesome! He was personable, professional, really put everyone at ease, and the proof is in the pictures. They are beautiful and we couldn't be happier.

Preparation leading up to the wedding was very thorough. Joe gave us a list of potential photos to consider, and even came to our house the day before to scope out locations. We even took a walk to the church!

On the actual wedding day, Joe was everywhere he should have been. The lighting, color and composition of the photos is beautiful. Everyone looks fantastic! Can't recommend them highly enough.

We are so happy with our photos from Couple of Dudes! Lawrence and his second shooter, Moriah, did an amazing job covering our wedding, and the Dudes' assistant, Emily, was great to communicate with throughout the process. We chose CoD because we wanted a photographer with a strong personal style, who would provide a lot of documentary-style coverage of the day without being obtrusive, and that's exactly what we got! Lawrence was a true professional, and he has a wonderful positive energy. If you want photos to cherish for the next 40, 50+ years, you won't regret hiring Couple of Dudes.

Joe and Emily were the best! As soon as we met with them, we knew we wanted to work with them and cancelled the appointments we had made with other photographers. And we're so happy with our choice because the photos came out great! We couldn't be happier. Also, Joe and Emily are both calm and relaxed, and their demeanor is contagious -- they helped us relax and enjoy the wedding day.

I can't say enough good things about Couple of Dudes! Joe and Emily were amazing to work with! They are so friendly and responded to every single one of my questions quickly. A wedding can be so stressful but they really put me at ease knowing that they had things taken care of and I didn't need to worry about any of the photography the day of the wedding. Joe and Emily make you feel so comfortable that it really feels like you are just hanging out with friends.

Joe also did our engagement pictures which was such a fun day! He came up with the idea to ride our bikes around the city and he even was taking pictures of us riding bikes while he was on his bike....the pictures turned out so cool and we get so many compliments on these! He is so creative and the pictures are very unique and not your standard engagement photos. He likes to have the pictures tell your story in which he definitely accomplished!

If you're looking for a photographer who is not only artfully-minded to the environment/setting/mood of your wedding, but also COMPLETELY in tune with the couple's emotions and needs, then you need to hire Couple of Dudes. Being based in Chicago, we took on Joe as our main Dude who is one of the most kind, intuitive, and hilarious people I know. He made the day a breeze for both my husband and I (the day itself was something that I had had major anxiety about) and captured every aesthetic detail I was hoping for. It's already a little over three months out from my wedding and I am still floored and speechless every time I look at our photos -- their color, light, and composition are amazing.

PERFECT!!! They captured the moments perfectly. The service and communication and ease of access to the photos was great. Also, we got the pictures so quickly! Very professional, but very fun. It really felt like Lawrence (the photographer) was one of our friends. He made us laugh while we were talking our personal pictures so they came out looking very real and not posed (which is exactly what we wanted)! Also, we were so excited about the use of film! Joe is AMAZING! If you are looking for a wedding photographer (or really any photography) seriously stop looking and book with Couple of Dudes! Joe and his team are wonderful to work with! I trusted Joe implicitly and he didn't once steer us wrong. Plus - everyone at the wedding thought he was just as awesome as we did and he fit right in - he was a part of the wedding rather than just a wallflower shooting the wedding.

Joe took our engagement shots and he and his second shooter, Brittany, shot our wedding and manned the GrinShack. The GrinShack was a guest favorite - there were always people there getting photos taken. The best part is that we now have professional photos with our friends and family beyond the traditional shots and those on the dance floor.

I never write reviews for anything (good or bad), so I can't say I'm that good at it, but to me the fact that I am actually writing the review is a testament to how happy we were with Joe. I would recommend him to anyone and if I need photos again (hopefully not wedding photos) I will definitely ask him.

Lawrence was amazing. He is professional, personable and truely a master of his craft. He was always reachable. We really wanted to be in the moment and just enjoy our wedding while getting beautiful photos and Lawrence was able to do just that. It was like he was one of our guests. He blended in and we didnt even know he was there but the end result was gorgeous pictures..and alot of them! He coraled the family for the traditional photos and patiently catered to our friends and theyre requests for photos. He was very easy going and totally worked up a package that fit into our budget. He is worth every penny and I would work with him again in a heartbeat.

Couple of Dudes do an amazing job! In the lead-up to our big day, Joe was an invaluable resource in helping us frame the day so that we could have all of the documentation we wanted, without related logistics becoming another layer of stress.

During the wedding the photographers had a great feel for the party and did an amazing job of capturing in our day. Having a second photographer gave us a great look into parts of the party that we might not have otherwise really seen.

Joe Tighe was absolutely amazing to work with! When we initially expressed interest in Couple of Dudes, Joe insisted on meeting up to go over everything before signing onto anything. Joe showed us books of his tremendous work from the past and asked us what we were looking for. You could tell right off the bat how interested he was in our story and how knowledgeable he was in the industry. After the meeting, we knew we wanted to have him do our engagement photos & wedding.
Next, we had our engagement photos. We were so happy with the experience. Joe is so laid back and it really helped make us feel at ease throughout the whole process. We were worried about taking awkward pictures, but Joe made it so casual and we had a great time!
Then was our big day! Joe & his assistant Alexis spent the entire day with us (12+ hours). Joe came to shoot at my house while my bridesmaids & I got ready, and Lexi went to my husband’s while he & the groomsmen got ready. Even with a crummy day of weather (literally rained all day), Joe kept us in good spirits and gave us options on where to take pictures that came out wonderful! We have heard nothing but compliments on how awesome the 2 of them worked together. They were literally incognito while snapping away awesome pictures on the dance floor and throughout!
All in all, we couldn’t have asked for better photographers to capture the moments on our wedding day. They also made the entire process so easy for us by keeping in touch with us the whole process. The price was definitely in line for the superb quality of pictures, tremendous service, and awesome personalities of the people you work with. I would gladly recommend Couple of Dudes to anyone looking for an awesome photography experience!
***Also, I would definitely recommend the GRINSHACK that they could set up for you. The pictures came out absolutely amazing. We received nothing but compliments from our guests on how fun it was and how great the pictures turned out.

We worked with Joe for our engagement shoot, and Joe and Brittany for our wedding. I hate getting my picture taken, to basically a pathological level. I cannot stand it. For this reason we did the extended engagement shoot so we could get to know Joe better, so hopefully I would become more comfortable. It worked. By the end of the engagement shoot I was ready for Joe to photograph any and all life events for us! He is laid back and relaxed. It truly is just like hanging out. The wedding photos were wonderful as well. He and Brittany added zero stress to the day, and helped us anticipate some of our own needs that we hadn't even realized. I highly recommend the Grin Shack, our guests loved it and we love the results! We've gotten our highlights back (so quickly! we actually got them while on our honeymoon!) and they are awesome. We have gotten so many compliments on the photos, it really makes me happy that we went with Joe and his team. Highly recommend, especially if you are anxious in front of cameras like me.

Don't be fooled by the name A Couple of Dudes....because this team is MUCH MUCH more than that. Lawrence and Adam are by far the consummate professionals both in attitude and manner and of course their photography skills are unparalleled. They have a fantastic way of capturing intimate moments naturally and beautifully - which is exactly what you should be looking for when planning your wedding photography.
Lawrence and Adam started with us in the morning and left with at night - not missing a moment and not intruding either.

It's positively wonderful to be able to relive the day through the ridiculous amount of high quality selects (which might I add we have just under 1 month later - that's SUPER fast for bridal photography, they even had a selection of preview selects for us the next day).I highly recommend Lawrence and Adam from A Couple of Dudes and plan of using them for every future life major life event!

We only worked with one of the dudes -- Lawrence -- but he covered so much ground that he could have been two. From first contact, Lawrence was flexible, understanding, and made it clear that he truly cares about what he does and values his work. He doesn't just dial it in, like a lot of wedding photographers seem to do, but challenges himself to create unique, memorable, and incredibly artistic shots. He ran around all day long, making sure that he was where he needed to be, when he needed to be there, and did such a fantastic job with post-processing the photos, that we have a collection of photos that are all spectacular. Lawrence is thoughtful, fun and laid-back, which made him so great to work with. We are so glad we made the decision to work with Couple of Dudes and would recommend them without hesitation!

We hired Couple Of Dudes because we liked the taste-level we saw on their recent work. Candid shots mixed with set pieces, and everything was beautiful from top to bottom. We are extremely happy with our wedding photography - and we owe it to Lawrence and his team. We were able to meet him in advance to discuss ideas and plans and when the day finally came they were prepared to capture everything we wanted. Lawrence and Emily were our photographers for our wedding and they did a fantastic job. Before the wedding they made sure I compiled a list of shots that I wanted so the day of the wedding they were taken without me having to worry about them. All of their shots were done beautifully with an artistic eye. Both Lawrence and Emily fit right in with our friends and were fun to work with. They made us feel comfortable during our portraits, and they made sure to capture certain things I had never thought of.

We also had Lawrence and Emily shoot The Grin Shack at our wedding. This was a huge hit for our guests. Unlike normal photo booths, the grin shack allowed more people to pose in front of the camera and all images were posted online for the guests to have access to.

When my husband and I received our final images we were more than pleased. Lawrence and Emily did an amazing job capturing every moment of our wedding and I felt as though I was reliving my special day as I looked through the images. I highly recommend Couple of Dudes to shoot at any wedding or event.

With all the wedding photographers out there, it can get pretty daunting to narrow it down, but luckily we had already chosen our beautiful venue, Fox Hill Farm, whose owner Katharine highly recommended Couple of Dudes. I saw their work, loved how whimsical and organic it was, and reached out to them as fast as I could. I communicated with Lawrence throughout the year, who also shot our engagement shoot, which took place on a ridiculously beautiful day consisting of a whiskey and fried chicken picnic. On the wedding day, we arranged for Lawrence and Lisa to shoot, and they were warm, fun, and professional throughout it all. Then as it turned out, Joe was in town on the big day and showed up to shoot the wedding as well! I would highly recommend Lawrence, Joe, and their team; they're down-to-earth and professional and great at what they do.

We used Joe and Sara (assistant) for our November 21 wedding. Being November, we knew Chicago weather could be risky; however, we did not expect to get 4 inches of snow! We traveled in blizzard conditions and Joe was outstanding. He stood in snow to set up shots we wanted and even stood outside to direct traffic when we made a wrong turn. As the bridal party was getting ready, Joe was there snapping pictures and helping everyone get ready (even steaming shawls and my veil)! Being part of many weddings, he gave great advice throughout the day. He also made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. All the wedding guests had great things to say about Joe and Sara.

*We were on the fence about doing the Grin Shack. Joe said we could make a game time decision and was very flexible. We ended up going with the Grin Shack and we couldn't be happier. Our guests loved the pictures and it gave them a nice break from the dance floor.

We booked Couple of Dudes for our June wedding, but also recently worked with Joe for our engagement photos. He has been so great to work with, offering to meet in-person before we signed the contract to get to know each other and answer our many questions. Day-of, it felt like we were spending the day with a friend (who was taking a lot of photos :)). Joe made us feel really comfortable, and was super accommodating about shooting at multiple locations, per our request. In addition to the planned out schedule we had created, he was great about suggesting other opportunities, like the coffee house we stopped at for a snack, inside our apartment and even a cool brick wall in a parking lot-- places we'd have never thought to take photos at. We are SO happy with our photos. Everyone who has seen them compliments the quality of photography and editing, but more importantly, comments how natural we look, versus the staged, forced smile pictures you sometimes see with engagement/wedding photos. We already felt confident in our choice to go with Joe and Couple of Dudes, but after our engagement session, we can't imagine choosing anyone else!

We worked with Joe and LOVED HIM!!!!! He captured exactly what we wanted and when we look back at our wedding photos we can honestly say that we feel like we are reliving that weekend all over again. He truly became a wedding guest and not just our photographer, it felt like hanging out with a friend who was able to capture all the little moments that we missed out on. He arrived Friday evening for our rehearsal dinner and then spent the entire day between myself and my husband. He was professional yet had a very calming presence that made it super easy and comfortable to work with. He listens to you and works with you which I loved. And after everything is now said and done, I have to say one of the very best decisions that my husband and I made was selecting Couple of Dudes Wedding Photography to capture our wedding day!

I really cannot say enough wonderful things about Couple of Dudes. Joe is unbelievably talented and from the moment we met to discuss my vision, he was right on board...not only agreeing, but adding a wonderful sense to everything I wanted to capture that day.

His use of lighting and composition gives each photo an authentic feel without over editing each image. I fell in love with Couple of Dudes Photography the moment I saw photos from a friend's wedding and I knew instantly Joe would be able to bring to life the vintage feel I so badly wanted in my photos.

If you are looking for a wedding photographer...look no more! Couple of Dudes Photography is professional, creative and downright fun! We not only met our wedding photographer during the process, but a friend who just got us and produced photos beyond my wildest dreams!

Lawrence of Couple of Dudes Photography was amazing!!! Along with his assistant photographer, they got all of the family shots, first look pictures, and all of the pre ceremony pictures done beautifully and efficiently. They were very good at getting everybody to do what they needed them to do in a calm and nice way, making the experience as enjoyable as possible for everybody involved. Lawrence's eye for the portraits was amazing - he had no problem hiking in the forest and getting down in the dirt to get the perfect shot and made us feel so comfortable the whole time. He did a great job at making everything feel as natural as possible and capturing candid moments.
During the ceremony and reception they blended in to the crowd perfectly and were able to get some great action shots on the dance floor without feeling like they were in the way - they were having as good a time as anybody!
Overall, Couple of Dudes exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend them to anybody and everybody!

When I first started shopping around for wedding photographers, I found Couple of Dudes on Wedding Wire and immediately reached out because I loved the documentary-style photography they had in their portfolio. I was immediately contacted by Lawrence (one of "The Dudes") and we exchanged a number of e-mails. He was the first photographer I got in contact with, and although I researched and communicated very extensively with other photographers, I ended up coming back to him. Why? He was flexible: he understood we were having a budget wedding so he worked with us. He was responsive. And, he was really eager and passionate about the service he could provide us. On the day of the wedding, our guests fell in love with him. They wanted to hang out with him - not joking. He made all of us comfortable (I am incredibly uncomfortable when it comes to picture taking) and he blended in. He came early and he left late. At no point was he standing there checking his watch. Now that I have the photographs back from the wedding, all of his other qualities aside, his work is really breathtaking. He made the ordinary extraordinary and captured all of the moments we asked him to - and more. Even if you're not very local, you should spend extra to have him travel to your event and photograph it (if he would make the trip, of course).

We were so happy that we chose Lawrence and Lisa as our wedding photographers. Lawrence and I spent a couple of hours on the phone before the wedding weekend . I appreciated that he wanted to take the time to learn about me and my fiance, our story and our hopes for the wedding day. Our photos are beautiful and over the course of the weekend, Lawrence and Lisa blended into the crowd of family and friends and captured so many perfect little moments in a way that kept the vibe easy and relaxed, which is exactly what we wanted. My husband I got married on 7/11/15, and we had a great experience with Couple of Dudes, specifically Joe and his assistant, Sara. We spent a lot of time researching photographers-- it was one aspect of our wedding that we felt pretty strongly about! We were specifically looking for someone who’s photography we loved, but also somebody that had a good package deal (long hours so we didn’t feel constricted with time, potential add ons including a photo booth or engagement pictures, etc). Couple of Dude’s had all of this, and we’re so glad we went with them for our big day! We ended up getting the package with “1 Dude” and an assistant-- I’m so glad Sara was there as a second shooter-- it was really great to have more than one person! We also had the “Grin Shack” at our wedding, which is an awesome alternative to a photo booth. Our guests LOVED the Grin Shack-- they couldn’t stop raving about it!

In terms of the actual photos, Joe made us feel so comfortable during our first look and as we did photos around the city with the bridal party. It was clear he knew exactly what he was doing, and he had great ideas for some really awesome shots. During the reception, Joe fit right in with the crowd and blended right in with the guests (he actually danced as he was taking pictures so it wasn’t awkward for the guests!). So many of our guests raved about how great he was!

Within 2 days of our wedding, he sent us a link for all of the Grin Shack photos to share with our guests, as well as a first collection of photos from throughout the day. The Grin Shack photos are awesome (so much better than a photo booth!) and the other photos were absolutely stunning. We can’t wait to see the rest!

Overall, we’re so happy that we chose Couple of Dudes to photograph our wedding. Joe and Sara were phenomenal!

Wonderful photography, great people.

We met Joe at Indie Wed a few years ago and immediately knew Couple of Dudes were the photographers for us. He and Lawrence have fun, easygoing personalities - which makes taking photos so much easier. They're calming, awesome to hang out with. Joe and Lawrence had an incredible ability to capture our personalities perfectly. My wife and I aren't great at relaxing or being the centers of attention. But with COD everything seems natural. They were able to make us feel loose, feel natural - which is so important in wedding photography.

As businessmen, they're very easy to work with. They were responsive to our concerns. They had wonderful suggestions to fit our personalities, easy to get a hold of, easy to talk to.

We also recommend signing up for the grin shack! My wife and I weren't sure if we wanted it/how many people would participate. The Grin Shack was one of the highlights from the night. We can't imagine having the wedding without it.

I'm so happy the dudes were able to be apart of our wedding. Joe and Larry were so helpful and just straight up awesome that day! My DH and I decided to splurge a bit and pay for both dudes to take pictures and I don't regret it one bit! It was great having Joe hang out with me and the girls and Larry will all the guys because we were separated for the morning before the ceremony. I can't wait to see footage on stuff that I missed and that my DH missed. Having only met Joe and Kasey maybe a year and a half ago before our wedding (I plan way far in advance), they became fast friends and you really don't even notice them taking pictures throughout the day. They hardly made us pose and when we did, it wasn't super cheesy or unnatural. All they wanted us to do was have a fun time and I think our pictures reflect that. I love the dudes and I highly recommend them!

Couple of Dudes were the perfect choice for us. They were totally on top of the planning and nailed the exact look we were going for. So much wedding photography is cheesy, in our opinion, and the Dudes captured really perfect candid moments -- exactly what we were looking for. Total pros and the photos look like a million bucks. What a great experience, from the planning of the engagement photos through the wedding!! Lawrence and Lisa did such a great job, taking extraordinary,and creative pictures. We used a single shooter, Lawrence, and he was amazing. From the moment he arrived, until the end, he was snapping photos and catching everything - all without being seen. We have been stalling to write this review knowing that nothing we put into words will do Couple of Dudes justice. After coming across their portfolio online, hiring Lawrence to photograph our wedding was an easy decision- but looking back it was arguably the most important decision we made. Lawrence and Crystal worked tirelessly to capture each emotion and detail of the weekend, all the while making it look effortless. Our guests shared rave reviews of them both before even seeing a single photograph; a testament to the wonderful people they are and how they seamlessly camouflaged themselves within the larger celebration (no loud clicks or bright flashes). We could write a novel about the photos we received, but in simplest terms what makes all of the images so incredible is their honesty and fleeting nature. With the overwhelming emotion a wedding brings, it is impossible to "take it all in." Lawrence did this for us. Images like the ones shot in the car (link below), our first married moments together leaving the church, are irreplaceable gifts we will cherish for our lifetime. It was an honor to have Lawrence and Crystal at our wedding, not only as two wildly talented photographers but as two new dear friends.

On our wedding day at Maple Shade Farm, we had the privilege of working with Lawrence for a five-hour shoot that included our ceremony and reception. Since we were on a limited budget, we booked a “single dude” for a set period of time, and despite the limitation of being a single photographer, Lawrence managed to divide his time and capture the most important moments leading up and during the ceremony. My wife and I walked down the opposite sides of the outer aisles with our parents on each arm at the same time. This was a significant and symbolic part of our ceremony, and Lawrence caught both of us walking in and all of the anticipation on both sides before (incredible for a single photographer!).

Somewhat hindered by the unseasonably bright day, Lawrence worked with the natural shade available at the farm to ensure that we had a stunning collection of post-ceremony couple’s shots. Lawrence put a lot of thought into the framing of many shots, giving them a unique appeal, but also managed to catch several candid moments during the course of the afternoon and evening by staying engaged with the guests. He caught every iteration of family photographs that we requested, and even stayed a bit overtime to ensure we had the cake cutting in the album.

We are overwhelmingly grateful to Lawrence and Couple of Dudes Photography studio for their stellar work, which will ensure we remember the most important moments of our wedding for years to come. The quality of the photos, including different filters, black and white shots, and a few polaroids, are incredible and really captured the vibrant colors of the fall day. Photography is one area of your wedding budget where you don’t want to skimp, and the Dudes are worth every penny!

Couples of Dudes Photography simply ROCKS. We met with Lawrence and his business partner for dinner to discuss the event, and as a couple of gay guys we were a little unsure how the vibe would be but the guys put us right at ease, they told great stories and let us into how they view the art of wedding photography. The hard part of wedding photos is you always wonder if it can be art, and these guys TOTALLY believe in the art of it. You just have to look at their portfolio to see that it's a step above. Lawrence showed up early to scope out the house and took really creative and ingenius fotos that set the scene, and then skillfully set up poses all day long without ever being in the way. Many many many of the fotos he took have an iconic look that continue to take my breath away. Then for added fun Lawrence created an e-mailer with selected fotos AND some awesome gifs animations showing magic moments such as a pan of the dining room, the trail of guests arriving, and an 8 year old boy running down a hill in a timeless way that was truly magic. I really can't see how I would hire a different photographer after seeing Lawrences work. Look no further.

Working with Lawrence was a no brainer--from our first conversation we knew he was the one--he is passionate, talented and flexible. Lawrence fit right in with our friends and family--making everyone comfortable and at ease. He was extremely professional, yet warm. Not only did he and his team capture the beauty and magic of our camp wedding, but he's presence and assistance in the planning process made our weekend all the more special. The icing on the cake is that Lawrence is super connected in the region we got married -- he helped connect us to farmers and food producers. Finding a good photographer was my number 1 priority when planning my wedding. I looked for weeks at different sites and must've seen hundreds of pictures but, until I saw the couple of dudes website, nothing really impressed me. As soon as I booked them I knew I made the right choice. They go out of their way to get a feel for what you want and deliver just that. My son had a 101 fever on my big day and I spent half of it tending to him, however, you would never know it from the pictures. Lawrence captured everything I wanted and more, he made the day look flawless. I couldn't have been more pleased with my overall experience and I now have the absolute best wedding photos to cherish forever!

We used Couple of Dudes Photography for our wedding. Upon only a week's notice, Joe was able to accommodate our needs perfectly. His photos were creatively shot and had a lot of variety. The images were very high quality. He was unobtrusive in the ceremony so that we hardly knew photos were being taken. On line delivery of finished photo images was prompt. Communication was excellent throughout. Highly recommended.

Both my parents were photographers, so there was a lot of pressure to choose the perfect photographer(s). We interviewed people left and right and quite honestly it was just exhausting. Then one day, I ran into a Couple of Dudes and instantly it everything just clicked. They were really down to Earth and it truly showed in their pictures. Rather than pressuring us for information or badgering us with promotions and sales, they just simply conversed with us as though we were old friends. Kasey, the mastermind behind the scenes, was great at keeping the communication line going. She was always responsive to our questions and concerns in a very timely manner. Joe, our go-to dude, has great composition ideas and his flair for detail is very awesome. Even though there were some minute complications with his computer, Joe was still able to deliver a fast turn around time. There is no doubt that he was able to capture our big day better than we had imagined and we are so glad & lucky to have found them. Not only do we have pictures that we can treasure for the rest of our lives but great new friendships as well!

P.S. I will definitely be using them for future gigs!

We really can't say enough good things about Lawrence and Joe. They took such amazing photos that were framed, shot, and edited perfectly. A truly gorgeous end product for engagement, rehearsal dinner, and wedding photos. Perhaps more importantly though, they were just awesome to hang out with, and part of the reason they are able to take such great photos is because they make you feel so relaxed and natural around them. My wife and I got married in October of 2011 and had the pleasure of having Couple of Dudes shoot our wedding. I've worked with Lawrence in the past for different photography projects (photography of hotels) and was delighted to hear that he was now doing weddings.

For our wedding only "One of the Dudes" shot the wedding since the other dude was not feeling well. Not to worry though as a "backup dude" was called in and worked flawlessly with Lawrence to help capture the big day.

Although my wife and I are both camera shy and are typically the first to duck away from a photo back in the "real world" Lawrence had a way of making us feel very comfortable.

After it was all said and done the photos came out great and I couldn't think of a better "Couple of Dudes" to have shoot our wedding.

We met the Dudes several years prior to our engagement at a friend's wedding in New Jersey. My now husband and I were very impressed by their style and vibe and ultimately the photos they took of our good friend's wedding day.

Fast forward two years and we got engaged ourselves. We began a search locally for photographers but kept coming back to the fact that we just loved the Dudes work and wanted to work with them. We figured that due to the remote location of our wedding in Maine, it would be a long shot that they would be available and willing to travel that far for our day but we reached out anyway. Alas, they were up for the adventure! The Dudes joined us for the entire weekend, photographing our rehearsal dinner, events of the day on Saturday and the wedding and reception that night.

I honestly don't even know where to begin with this review because we have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Dudes. Lawrence and Joe meshed so well with our family and friends and by the end of the weekend I felt as if they were there as our guests, not just our wedding photographers. When they delivered the photos post production, we were simply blown away. They are stunning and I've received countless compliments on their quality. Their overall style isn't cookie cutter, it's beautifully natural, unique and honest. They so perfectly captured our wedding weekend.

I would highly recommend Couple of Dudes Wedding Photography. Their work is outstanding and they're a pleasure to work with.

The dudes came and shot our wedding and I couldn't have been happier. We had them come to the three days of events that were planned including a wine tasting, a harbor boat cruse and finally the wedding ceremony and reception. What I enjoyed most about the dudes was their ability to be involved in just the right way. They both socialized with people, joked around and found fun, unique shots to capture the event. I felt like they really did an excellent job capturing the "vibe" that at our wedding.

A large part of that great "vibe" was the photo booth that they setup. It was an absolute hit with the guests as everyone had the opportunity to pose with props for pictures. My wife and I consistently look back and laugh at the photos from the photo booth. Exactly the outcome that we hoped for. Pictures that really bring you back to the event.

The dues were professional and responsive but still fun, something that I really appreciated. I found them to be priced quite well considering all of the time that they spent with us. I also found them to be quite flexible and easy going which was really nice on the big day.

I would highly recommend that you have the dudes shoot your next big event!

Working with Joe and Larry was very enjoyable. They were well-prepared and thoughtful in approaching the event, spent time listening to our ideas and planned creative and beautiful shots around our desired locations. In a pleasant and unobtrusive manner, they took beautiful images that captured the moments and the emotions of our wedding day. They provided input when we asked for it, but mainly worked in the background where our guests hardly noticed their presence. Joe and Larry simply were a joy to work with, and we are very happy with the final product. They delivered our pictures quickly and did an excellent job in formatting and retouching our favorites. Check out their portfolio; seeing their work convinced us that they were the photographers we wanted. We would recommend them without hesitation (and have!).

The Dudes were amazing! They were flexible, understanding, fun and encouraging. The crowd was especially impressed with the photo booth and later, I found a few of their practice shots (that included the photographers) that were hilarious. It was amazing to have them be a part of our ceremony. And even more wonderful is the friendship we have developed as a result. These guys are just that easy to get along with. Dudes rule!

Joe was fantastic! Our wedding differed some from the traditional setup and he was incredibly considerate and responsive to our wishes. We met with him in person which allowed us to get familiar with his process and personality. He was attentive and meticulous in making sure that everything we wanted would be done, along with suggesting certain things that we hadn't considered. The photos were both intimately candid and tastefully staged. Incredible value. Recommend to all!

We had an INCREDIBLE experience with Couple of Dudes! We had the option to work with one or two of the dudes for our wedding. And we chose to work with one- Joe. Here are a few of the many reasons we'd recommend the dudes:
1. Because of their integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
2. Photography is more than business to them. One of the reasons I selected Joe was because it is clear that he has a true passion for the art of photography, as well as specifically working with couples to capture such special memories. He loves what he does, and it shows in his work.
3. Joe went SO far over and beyond any expectations we had. He met with us a couple times, really listened to what I had in mind as far as the style of our wedding, & what I envisioned for our photos. On his own time, he went to our venue and prepared ideas for photos in advance.
4. Joe was able to bring people together and capture incredible genuine moments. Staged photos are fine. But nothing compares to the candid pictures that capture so many of the beautiful memories I have from that evening.
5. Couple of Dudes artistic style is the perfect medium between your mom's boring traditional staged wedding photos, and cheesy-overly trendy-instagram style pictures that will be outdated in ten years. Our photos are artistic, beautiful, and timeless.
6. With a lot of wedding stress, Joe's easy-going personality and relaxed approach was such a relief. He truly felt like one of our guests by the end of the night.
7. We had arranged for a certain number of hours of photography. But Joe stayed a couple hours extra (beyond what we paid him for!) just so he could capture the bride and groom's exit. That is unheard of!
8. Our wedding photos are incredible. The artistic style and quality of work is excellent.

I cannot say enough good things about Couple of Dudes Photography. I am so thankful for our experience with them, & for the beautiful pictures I have of the best day of my life!

Couple of Dudes shot incredible photos at our wedding. We were very pleased with their professionalism, personal approach and blend of candid/posed photography. We would hire them again to shoot anything worth saving.

My husband and I love The Dudes' editorial style. Our beautifully composed wedding photos capture our personalities perfectly. We even did some more traditional portrait style photos with immediate family, and they are full of life and charm. (They are also some of the most beautifully and naturally lit photos I've ever seen.) The Dudes are a great team who work so well together to capture those candid moments that every couple cherishes and wants to remember. They really took the time to understand what we wanted and to get to know us a little better before the event. We felt completely relaxed and confident in front of their cameras.

We cannot say enough about how pleased we are with our experience with Joe and Lawrence. They immediately understood the overall feel we wanted for the event, and they were able to give us numerous creative ideas to best capture the day. Our pre-service walk through the neighborhood was a perfect pause in the fussing over final details, and they helped us to find the humor and softness of the much-needed quiet time. We've attended too many weddings where the photographers were constantly front and center, making the guests attempt to look around them to see the action; this was not the case with the Dudes. To say they blended seamlessly with the crowd and the surroundings would be an understatement. When they needed to be low-key and 'invisible', they receded to a prime vantage point to capture the moment. When it was time to transition into the social scene, they came alive and did a wonderful job of making the guests feel comfortable expressing themselves. On this note, we highly recommend the Grin Shack... it provided some of the most unique and priceless images from the evening. We put a lot of time and energy into creating an event that would be special for us and those we love, and Joe and Lawrence did a fantastic job of not only capturing this, but of making the entire experience even more magical.

Joe and Ryan were our photographers this past weekend, and they made our entire wedding experience absolutely perfect. When it came to taking pictures, Joe and Ryan were very flexible and not demanding photographers, but also instantly knew which direction they wanted to go. Despite our chosen location being an entirely new spot for them, they saw the potential in it right away and set up a variety of shots without wasting any time. Anything we asked for, they did. Joe also stayed well into the night when our dance floor was going crazy, continuing to take capture hilarious moments, and that was greatly appreciated. We could NOT have asked for a better company to photograph our wedding and cannot wait for the finals. We know they will be amazing! Thanks you guys!!!!

Stop giving yourself a headache over finding a photographer and book Couple of Dudes right away. We worked with Joe who is personable, professional, friendly, accommodating, creative, easy-going, thoughtful, energetic, and a down-to-earth guy. We had an amazing time and having him as part of our wedding day took the worry out of the day and made everyone laugh and have a great time. He works hard, listens to what you want, try to get his own creative angles to make the photos more interesting, but at the same time listens to what you want and makes sure to photograph that first. Our bridal party all thought he was great and he made everyone laugh. Most importantly he is so patient and should any issues arise in your day, he makes it know that he is there to help you and make your day go smoothly. Great having someone like Joe on your side on your wedding day.

In terms of the photography and end products, we at first were hesitant because some of his photos had a vintage effect to them and we weren't certain if we wanted that on all our photos. We expressed that upfront and he explained this was a choice and could tone down the effect, apply it on select photos or remove it all together. Ultimately we were very pleased with his post-processing so know that he will work with you and give you an end-product you are satisfied with. Our photos have life to them while others we've seen from other photographers don't have the same kind of energy. Choosing this photographer was one of the best choices we made for our wedding.

Likewise we'd like to thank Lucy who was Joe's second photographer. It makes a big difference when the photography is great and the photographer has a great personality that makes that person easy to be around. The photos turn out better because you're more relaxed. Pleased to have had Lucy work with us.

I was introduced to A Couple of Dudes Photography at my nephew's wedding in February. The photos were on line almost immediately, and after seamlessly ordering quite a few photos of our family, I decided to book a Couple of Dudes for my son's rehearsal dinner. Lawrence Braun and Emily are very responsive, and their work is amazing! I will absolutely call Lawrence again in the future, he does great work!
