I started planning my wedding about 1.5 years before the big day, and the first big decision was the venue. I visited countless places - I searched all over South Carolina and North Carolina. I was ready to give up when I randomly came across Cotton Hall. It was everything I wanted and more. The pictures are beautiful, but even they don’t do it justice. Cotton Hall is a stunning property and is a must-see in person. Cotton Hall is one of the most magical hidden gems in the country. ALL of my guests were taken aback by the venue, and couldn’t stop talking about how breathtaking it was.
Amy, the on-site wedding planner, whom I now consider a dear friend, knew all of the ins and outs of the property and was able to help me plan every detail of the wedding. I tortured her for a year and a half with all of my crazy ideas and indecision over every little detail, and she was not only a voice of reason, but she made sure to make all of my visions come to life. She is open to new ideas and is willing to work with you and find a way to make things happen, something I did not find true for any of the other venues. I am so grateful to have found this place before it totally blows up, because trust me, it will. I wish I could get married here a million times. -

Best Day Ever!
Cotton Hall was our wedding venue, and wow! It was breathtaking! We stayed on property for the weekend and it was so perfect. With a handful of rooms for the bridal party/family, getting ready spaces, catering kitchen, and beautiful grounds! We haven’t gotten our full gallery yet but I know it was just the perfect setting for photos. They were super flexible with the indoor and outdoor spaces and furniture. They allow outside vendors and were honestly a dream to work with. Get the best experience by using their wedding coordinator, Amy Lane Weddings! She will execute your day perfectly with amazing connections and recommendations! -

We could not recommend Cotton Hall enough! When we first visited the venue, we knew we loved it so much that we wanted to spend as much of our wedding weekend there as possible. We booked the venue for Thursday through Sunday of our wedding weekend and I am so thankful we did! This allowed us to enjoy the entire venue all weekend long. Every member of the staff took such great care of us and made our experience even better. This was truly the perfect venue! -

Cotton Hall is truly the most magical wedding venue in the world — an absolute fairytale! I wish I could relive our weekend there over and over again. The property has five beautiful bedrooms, which made it perfect for hosting our loved ones. My bridesmaids stayed on Friday night, and our family and friends joined us for the full weekend celebration, with my husband and I staying on Saturday.
We kicked off with our rehearsal dinner on Friday, held the wedding on Saturday, and wrapped up with happy hearts on Sunday — it was everything we dreamed of and more. I cannot recommend Cotton Hall enough. Amy, the wedding planner and venue manager, is unbelievably talented, kind, and organized. She made the entire process smooth and stress-free, and our big day was absolutely perfect because of her! -

Absolute perfection! From the incredible venue and grounds of Cotton Hall to the amazing wedding planner, Amy Lane, this is what dreams are made of. There were so many different places on site for the wedding ceremony. We were fortunate to be able to stay for 3 nights and 4 days and the bridal party woke each morning to a delicious breakfast, explored the historic home and grounds throughout the day and had other celebrations each evening including a Mumu Party on the back porch and the Oyster Roast Rehearsal Dinner on the back lawn. Amy Lane provided incredible wedding planning for us as well. Planning a wedding with all of the details is hard but not with Amy. Her organization, professionalism, high standards, creativity, connections to the most wonderful vendors, and her pure joy in making the wedding such a personal experience was more than we could have ever expected or asked for. We are thinking about booking the venue for other events in the future because we already want to be back! I am eternally grateful for Cotton Hall and Amy Lane. Dreams really do come true! -

Cotton Hall could not have been a more perfect venue for my daughter's fall wedding. We could not have been more pleased with our choice. It is an absolutely gorgeous setting with moss draped from every oak tree in sight. The property and house are so warm and welcoming, Cotton Hall just oozes with dignified southern charm. We looked at numerous venues but the private setting, wonderful staff and the option to stay on site all weekend quickly moved it to the top of our list. We had access to the entire house for wedding weekend which was absolutely perfect. It gave my daughter the perfect opportunity to spend time with her bridesmaids and family ahead of the wedding.
Amy Lane could not have been more accommodating and is the best at what she does. Not only does she manage the venue but is a wonderful wedding planner as well. She is the perfect blend of grace and professionalism. Amy was on top of of every detail from day one and took care of our every want or need in the months of planning. She worked diligently to make a dream wedding become a reality.
It's hard to find words to adequately express how much we love Cotton Hall and Amy Lane! -

My husband and I hosted our wedding at Cotton Hall, and it was nothing short of magical!
From the moment we arrived, the venue exuded charm and elegance. The oaks at sunset provided a stunning backdrop for the ceremony. The outdoor patio/garden was the picturesque place for the reception. Our entire family enjoyed their weekend stay at the venue.
Amy and her team KNOWS their stuff. Amy made our vision come to life and it was a dream. She made me feel like I was planning the whole day with a friend. When it came to the wedding day, I didn't worry about a thing. I simply sat back and enjoyed my day. She took care of every obstacle and then some with zero drama. It was the PERFECT day. -

Cotton Hall went so above and beyond for us for our wedding weekend. First, it is a stunning property to make the perfect backdrop to your low country wedding/event dreams. The large oaks are everywhere and the property seems flexible to accommodate just about whatever you could think of. The inn itself is large with many well appointed rooms for you/your guests and areas for indoor activities at your event. There are also suites for the bride and groom to get ready in separate areas of the inn.
Amy runs the inn/events/weddings and is your best friend for your perfect day. I can’t fully explain just how much she did for us, we are so grateful for her & the heart she has for what she does. Every detail that you wouldn’t think of, she will and she is prepared for anything. She goes out of her way to make your experience the best it can be while making it seem so easy. We were treated so warmly & kindly, she surprised us with champagne, some treats for after our wedding in our room, the Rolls Royce, a visit from Lin Wood, and she arranged property tours for us so we can see the several properties associated with Cotton Hall. The venue is beautiful by itself but with Amy it is that much better.
Ronald spent a lot of time with us, showing us the details of the 3 properties and all of the work/love that goes into it between its owner and the few lucky people who get to be apart of it every day. We left our time with him and said to each other, wow that man has a heart of gold.
We were sold on the property for its beauty, but the experience was exponentialized by the kindness & effort of the team here. In my search of a venue, I didn’t find many reviews on other venues which mentioned these qualities. We are very happy with our choice for our wedding and I hope my review helps you make your decision. 😊 -

Amy at Cotton Hall was amazing and so helpful. Cotton Hall was beautiful. We loved the vintage vibe with the natural beauty of the oak trees. All our guests were so impressed by the beauty of the grounds and the atmosphere. We had dinner under the avenue of oaks by candlelit dinner. And then our favorite part was the grand exit into the rolls royce. The pictures with the rolls royce were my favorite too! Highly recommend Cotton Hall. -

After a 3 year engagement and much research, we found the perfect venue for our southern, plantation style wedding. I am a Charleston native and moved to Beaufort a few years ago. We wanted to not only share our special day with family and friends but to also share the beauty of where we live and love, especially for our out of town guests. Cotton Hall had every charming detail we envisioned to reveal the true beauty of the Lowcountry. The avenues of mystical spanish moss oak trees, the private-historic plantation home, the quiet-spacious-lush lawns, and the gentle breeze from the rice fields nestled against the Salkehatchie River provided the magical wedding and reception we dreamed of. Also, Amy Lane, the general manager, was wonderful to work with. She was very professional, friendly and accommodating to us, our wedding planner and all of our vendors. -

Cotton Hall exceeded our wildest expectations as a wedding venue. From the moment we stepped foot on the grounds, it felt like stepping into a fairy tale. The ambiance was magical, and our guests couldn't stop raving about how perfect everything looked.
Having Amy Lane as our wedding planner was a stroke of genius. She orchestrated every detail flawlessly, ensuring that our special day went off without a hitch. Staying on-site was a game-changer; not only did it make logistics easier, but it also allowed us to spend quality time with our nearest and dearest.
The staff at Cotton Hall were phenomenal. Their warmth and attentiveness made us feel like royalty. They graciously accommodated our post-wedding celebrations, giving us invaluable moments with our loved ones that we'll cherish forever.
What truly sets Cotton Hall apart is its bed and breakfast setup. It provided us with a level of intimacy and convenience that we wouldn't have experienced elsewhere. We didn't have to worry about cleaning or coordinating multiple accommodations like we would have with an Airbnb or VRBO.
Reflecting on our time at Cotton Hall fills us with immense joy. My husband and I have already discussed the possibility of returning for our anniversary or even bringing our future children here. The thought of reliving those magical moments is irresistible.

DO IT - book Cotton Hall!!!!!
12/10 in my opinion. The venue itself - a thing of absolute beauty. The staff - perfection. The decor inside - so cute!!! We booked Cotton Hall for our family only intimate wedding ceremony / reception and it did not disappoint. I don't have one thing that I look back on an think - I should have done this or had them do that....
Amy Lane, the in house wedding planner at Cotton Hall - which was a great choice not only because she lives near the venue but because she works there! She knows it all! She was there from start to finish. Hire her too when you book Cotton Hall.
Go for a visit. It will not disappoint!!!! -

Choose Cotton Hall
Cotton Hall was the most beautiful, southern place to have a wedding. We were first drawn in by the luscious oak trees and fell completely in love with the charming inn on the property. From our first meeting with Amy Lane, we knew we were having our wedding there and we knew we wanted Amy as our planner.
Amy put together the wedding of my and my husband's dreams (and my mom's, of course). Amy made my whole planning experience worry free - I knew if she suggested it, it would be perfect! She even saved the day with the storm during our rehearsal dinner. She was quick to respond and very attentive. It was clear that Amy knows the wedding business backwards and forwards - she had great suggestions for every vendor!
We booked Cotton Hall for the full weekend which was a great decision! It felt like home away from home. The inn is so beautifully decorated. It has the perfect rooms for the groom/groomsmen to get ready, makeup/hair for the bridesmaids, and even a special room for the bride to get dressed in.
I cannot recommend Cotton Hall enough! -

Our wedding at Cotton Hall in October was everything we dreamed of (and more!), and we truly could not be happier with the entire experience, all led by Amy Lane, the venue's phenomenal in-house planner.
Cotton Hall was only the second venue we toured, and although I'm not an impulsive person at ALL, my husband and I just had a feeling that this was the perfect place for our big day. We never doubted our choice and looking back, that decision was truly the best one we made during the entire planning process.
You couldn't ask for a more beautiful setting to get married in, and we felt like we had stumbled upon a hidden gem (which also made us want to jump on the chance to book a date!). As soon as we drove through the gates for the first time, we were so taken with the live oaks draped in Spanish Moss leading up the drive, and it felt magical every single time we returned. Several of our guests traveled from New York, and we heard several comments throughout the weekend about the stunning venue and surroundings.
Everyone that works at Cotton Hall under the guidance of Amy is truly outstanding, and the team worked seamlessly to make our wedding weekend an absolute dream. Amy's expertise, attention to detail, and dedication ensured that everything ran smoothly from the welcome dinner until it was time to check out. Her ability to bring our vision to life (when our vision was sort of a messy jumble of ideas) while adding her own creative touches made the entire planning process a breeze.
We stayed at the venue throughout the weekend with our families (which was amazing and I would highly recommend), and the team went above and beyond to make us and our families feel welcomed and taken care of.
For any couple looking for a one-of-a-kind venue, only outmatched by a one-of-a-kind planning team, I would look no further than Cotton Hall for your big day. It is SUCH a special place and now, two months later, we absolutely could not be happier with our entire wedding weekend. We're already talking about booking a weekend at their Bed and Breakfast for a future anniversary to relive the memories! -

One of the Souths greatest venues!!
My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding at Cotton Hall. To say this property is special to us is an understatement, its truly one of the most beautiful places in the Southeast! Selecting Cotton Hall as our venue was the best and easiest decisions we made throughout our planning process. Our family stayed in the house from Thursday-Sunday and what a treat that was. The accommodations were excellent, the house is warm and welcoming. Its meticulously maintained and you can tell that they are always working to preserve the authenticity of the property. Amy was wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to make sure the wedding weekend was perfect. She knew I had a vision and pulled out all the stops to execute it (even dodged some heavy rainstorms for us). Her staff was very professional and willing to jump in to help at anytime. She was always available to meet with us or answer any questions we had. She made sure our other vendors had all the information they needed and solved any problems that occurred. It really was a spectacular event that all of our guest just raved about! I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to celebrate such a special day with our family and friends in this beautiful place. We look forward to coming back for many years to come. Cotton Hall delivered the absolute dream wedding experience! The venue itself was magnificent with its majestic oaks and historic bed and breakfast. Their Manager, Amy Lane, was consistent in her professionalism and communication, top tier in every way. She referred us to the best wedding planner, Shelby Vido Weddings, and was able to accommodate our floral arrangements perfectly at a very affordable price. Planning a wedding and communicating your vision can be very stressful but Amy Lane’s warm and welcoming character kept us at ease through the entire process. Cotton Hall and their staff went above and beyond to accommodate not only our needs but that of our guests as well. We rented the bed and breakfast for the night to allow a night of fun and comfort following our reception for our family and closest friends traveling from out of town. There were no details missed and the breakfast they provided was above expectations as well! We have five children ages 6-16 years old and even they feel like they lived a fairy tale through the whole experience provided by Cotton Hall and Shelby Vido Weddings! -

Breathtaking Cotton Hall
Cotton Hall is currently a hidden gem. It is quaint, elegant, and just breathtakingly beautiful. We planned our wedding from across the country and never saw the property in person until 2 days before our wedding. The pictures do not do it justice. The grounds are so peaceful, stunning, and much more than we could have dreamed of for our special day.
Ms. Amy Lane is a MUST when booking Cotton Hall as your venue. Amy is the most incredible wedding planner/human in all of South Carolina. She coordinated with us from across the country, dealt with our bridezilla-ness, and was completely professional while also being down to earth. She was kind, thoughtful, and really knows the importance of all the small details that those of us who have only been married once just don't know about. All we had to do was show up on our wedding day and everything was done for us, we were pampered, handed endless mimosas, and had such a fun/relaxing day.
Like I said, this venue is a hidden gem right now, and I hope that it stays that way so that everyone who gets married at Cotton Hall can have the same experience we had. I wish I could relive my wedding day over and over, it was simply the most perfect day ever. -

Cotton Hall was an amazing venue to have our wedding. Our family and friends enjoyed exploring the property while attending for the weekend. It was an incredible convenience to have our family stay in the rooms on site with us. For such a beautiful and vast location, our wedding felt very intimate due to the staff and wedding planner Amy Lane.

We had a beautiful outside elopement ceremony at Cotton Hall. The trees are breathtaking and the peace of the property makes the special day even more memorable. Cotton Hall is under renovations until the spring of 2022 but the parking and other facilities were available for use even though it was an outdoor service. We highly recommend it especially for anyone who wants to tie the knot surrounded by gorgeous Oak Trees! Amy the wedding manager was amazing and conducted the service for us. We especially appreciated her flexibility given our short notice during the holiday season. They also allowed our dogs to join which made the ceremony that much more complete. The owner of the property was such a gracious, generous, and excellent host! We can't say enough good things about him and his wonderful staff. Cotton Hall made for the perfect start to our new life and adventures together. Highly recommend not only for a wedding venue but any special event! -
