My wife and I recently had our wedding at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Our day was absolutely perfect and we thank Lynn for all her expertise and planning with our wedding. The food and drink were great, the rooms were comfy, the venue was beautiful, but most especially the service was above and beyond excellent! We received many compliments from our guests on how polite and professional the hotel staff was during the wedding. They really went out of their way to make sure that everyone was satisfied. Thank you so much for making our wedding the perfect day!

It was a lovely event and we are so appreciative of all of the extra efforts that were made to make it special. Eddy our personal bartender was exceptional, as was everyone who assisted us. No one from our party has been able to get over how absolutely perfect The Cosmopolitan Hotel & Restaurant was for our wedding! If you're looking for a rustic but classy feel with total privacy, plenty of space, gorgeous architecture, and fantastic service, this is your place. The staff were all fantastic and made us feel like family, and the events coordinator Lynn Simpson is a total pro and incredibly sweet - planning was a breeze. We opted to rent out all 10 rooms at the hotel so that we were the only ones on property and our guests loved the freedom to be able to enjoy the upper veranda and retreat to the guest rooms for a moment if needed. We had a buffet and the food was fantastic! It all tasted very homemade, not the frozen hotel food you get at bigger properties. I think my favorite part was that the venue was so gorgeous on its own that we hardly had to spend any money on decor! We just did simple candles in glass cylinders with a little greenery for centerpieces, and brought some picture frames and mason jars with candles for the lounge tables by the bar and done! My goals for our wedding were a to keep it low-maintenance (venue to provide food, furniture, linens, etc), have a beautiful outdoor venue, and stick to a fairly frugal budget - The Cosmo helped me meet all of these goals without any quality spared. This place is a total hidden gem and we couldn't be happier to have chosen it for our big day!

I'm so glad we discovered this venue! It was the perfect setting for us. I loved that the space really speaks for itself, we did not need to bring in a lot of decor. We wanted someone outside yet private and this was the perfect combination. Once you are inside, the busy old town atmosphere disappears. We also rented out the hotel rooms for the week and that really made the whole experience! It felt like we were in another little world while being in our home town. The staff was amazing and helpful. I would highly recommend!

The Cosmopolitan deserves the HIGHEST,BEST rating. No venue nor staff could have been better, more agreeable, more helpful, etc. Lynn and Brandon surpassed my hopes and expectations. They gave our daughter the wedding of her dreams in every way.

We had our wedding at the Cosmopolitan and it was the best day I could have ever imagined. We got to use the Seeley Yard for the ceremony, and then we rented out the entire venue for the reception and dancing afterwards. Lynn and her team were with us every step of the way and Lynn was SUCH A JOY to work with, no matter how silly or annoying our requests were, she always tried to help us make them happen!
If you want a venue that's unique, easy to reach for out of towners, historic and flexible, the Cosmo is perfect.

Where do I begin! Choosing to have our wedding at the Cosmopolitanism was the best decision we ever made. Lynn (Cosmo coordinator) was outstanding, she took care of any questions/concerns & was extremely flexible with our schedule. Lynn & her staff transformed the historic hotel into a fairytale for my husband and I. We chose the blueberry mojito as our welcome cocktail (to die for) & a buffet dinner for our 65 guests. Everyone was raving about the vegetarian lasagna & skirt steak.
The Cosmo staff took care of everything for us & made our day so effortless. We chose to stay in the steely suite the night of our wedding (room 4/5) absolutely gorgeous.
If you want a unique experience, amazing coordinator & beautiful culture surrounding you then look no further.

We had a wonderful experience getting married at the Cosmo! From the amazing and beautiful venue to the delicious food to the wonderful hospitality, everything was so great.

I was initially very nervous about all the attention that comes with a wedding, so I wanted to do a private ceremony for just my hubby and I, and then have a big party afterward, but my hubs wanted to invite everyone to the ceremony as well. I was simply so nervous about walking down a traditional aisle, with all those eyes on me, but when I saw the setup at the Cosmo, it really felt right. The courtyard was a perfect configuration because many of the guests could be up on the second-floor balcony. It felt so intimate and also non-traditional in just the right way.

Lynn and the entire staff were great to work with. They were responsive to questions and very accommodating. I probably visited the Cosmo eight or so times between when we booked it and the wedding, just so I could visualize the setup and décor, and even practice the timing of the processional song, and everyone was so understanding and helpful. The captains and bartenders were all so nice, and Brandon was great to work with on the hotel accommodations for the guests.

We booked all 10 rooms at the Cosmo for the Friday and Saturday of our wedding weekend, which saved us some money on the room costs. It was so fun to have the whole hotel to ourselves for that weekend. The rooms are old-fashioned and fun! It was really great getting ready in the bridal suite and stepping out onto the balcony for photos and drinks with friends. The whole experience felt pretty magical. Our friends and family who stayed at the Cosmo raved about what a unique and fun experience it was. Because we had the whole place booked, we didn’t really have a curfew for the DJ, so we were able to keep dancing til about midnight.

The food was delicious too! I was so busy dancing at the wedding that I missed the late-night taco stand and our dessert spread, but I heard very good things about them! The drinks were yummy as well.

The space is already so pretty and green so we didn’t need a lot of extra décor, which was nice. And the unique space made for some great moments, like when my hubby and I returned to the cocktail hour at on the balcony with our guests cheering below—such a fun grand entrance to the party!

Overall we were so happy with how everything turned out. It was a magical day and everyone raved about what a great wedding it was. I really credit the entire Cosmo staff with helping make it a reality for us!

My wife and I absolutely loved the Cosmopolitan Hotel, it’s coordinator Lynn, the hotel staff and the venue in entirety.

Our ceremony was next door at the Casa de Estudillo. The ceremony went off without a hitch and was beautifully prepared and coordinated.

The reception itself was in the main area of the Cosmo. Working with Lynn, we were able to meet well beforehand to try the food, talk about the traditions we wanted to bring in, the settings, vendors and anything and everything else. The hotel staff was beyond perfect. We worked (you might say bothered or harassed) Brandon way too often but he never complained. We received smiles and a laugh each time we asked for something and needed his help. The term “overly accommodating” wouldn’t even do what he and Lynn did justice.

Lynn and the whole staff at the Cosmopolitan were such a joy to work with. We had our wedding reception at the Cosmo and I was at ease the whole way through, from my first meeting with Lynn up to "closing time" when we were packing up after the reception. It truly felt like a family event to me, which is what I wanted. I had about 70 guests - though the Cosmo is able to accommodate 250 or more. Service was seamless (we had plated meals). My guests and I were not waiting for our food. Food was A+. For Drinks we chose a signature cocktail that was off the menu but the bartender nailed what we were going for! In sum: I highly recommend the Cosmo for your wedding or your next gathering. I have nothing but praises for the Staff with the very capable leadership of Ms. Lynn Simpson. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

We are so incredibly happy that we decided to hold our wedding at the Cosmopolitan! Lynn was a complete pleasure to work with, and she had answers to all of our questions, regardless of how many we sent. We really loved the fact that the Cosmopolitan offers both the ceremony and reception venue (we opted to have our ceremony in the courtyard, with some guests watching from the upstairs balcony) - it was so convenient and made the day feel so relaxed since we were able to stay at the hotel the night before, wake up already on-site, and not have to travel at all once the night was done!

So many of our guests made it a point to let us know how much they loved the venue - its different from most wedding venues we’ve been to, and our guests really appreciated its uniqueness! It is such a warm, welcoming place, and everyone felt comfortable and was able to just have a good time! The Cosmopolitan is the type of venue that is appropriate for any style of wedding. We already knew we wanted a less fancy, “dressy casual” wedding, and that worked out wonderfully, but you could easily hold a wedding on the more formal end here as well. There was plenty of space for the younger kids to hang out, and a good number of hotels available within walking distance for those guests not staying at the Cosmopolitan itself (we had most of our wedding party stay on-site).

I have Celiac Disease, as do a couple other members of my family, so we wanted to have all of the food at our wedding be gluten free. Lynn assured us that that would be no problem for the Cosmopolitan, and we were not disappointed! We were able to have our complete tasting and then our complete wedding buffet prepared gluten free, so that I was able to eat every single item - and it was all delicious! For the bar, Lynn was able to add the extra hard cider that we were hoping for, no problem!

We couldn’t imagine a better place to have had our wedding and we are looking forward to returning!

The Cosmopolitan Hotel has so much charm and character! I fell in love with it the first time I stepped onto it’s vine covered patio. But before I go on, I need to disclose that we ended up shifting directions with our wedding date and plans, and ultimately did not book this venue. However, I still feel inclined to leave a review based on my wonderful experience. I worked with Lynn Simpson who went above and beyond to create a completely custom proposal to match the type of reception we had in mind. When I met with her in person she was attentive, and I felt that she truly understood our vision. Her follow up communication was excellent as we hammered out the details over the next couple weeks. The prices we were quoted were extremely reasonable for what was included, and I loved the idea of renting out all ten rooms and pretty much having the place to ourselves. There aren’t too many venues that offer that luxury.

The Cosmo has continued to be one of our favorite spots for brunch on a beautiful day, not just for the atmosphere and great location in the center of Old Town, but because we love their food! If you have a chance to try their short rib benedict – go for it!

We got married here last weekend and it was absolutely amazing!! The venue is beautiful and couldn't get more authentic San Diego. Lynn and her staff at the venue are so great! They helped us setup, decorate and even got stuck in putting up lanterns and lights... So helpful and accommodating and the food was really great too! Thank you. Thank you!!

What can I say- planning a wedding from overseas was so easy with all of the help from the Cosmo! Lynn, Robin and the team accommodated us and or guests so well. Everyone has been raving about the wedding and the service provided. We HIGHLY recommend!!!!

I just recently had my wedding this month, I was lucky enough to have rain. Lynn was absolutely amazing. All of the staff was accommodating and super on top of EVERYTHING. We choose to do a buffet and all of the food was bragged about the whole night. ! Exceptional service . Definitely Consider this venue for genuine hospitality and a vintage feel to your special day !!!

We could not have been more thrilled with our wedding. All the planning was done by Rosanna and every detail was spectacular !!!! Our intimate in-suite wedding was truly beautiful, intimate, sophisticated and effortless!

When my fiance and I got engaged we knew we wanted something a little different. We wanted a "destination feel" wedding without actually flying somewhere , and did not want the party of our life to end at 10pm like most venues. We wanted it to be FUN & memorable more than anything. None of that ballroom, stale round tables feel ...hehe. Number one, location of The Cosmopolitan is amazing. It was so fun having the whole hotel upstairs rented out for the bridal party all weekend, and seeing people hanging out in old town and at the hotel nearby. It felt like a small little wedding town! Not to mention how beautiful it was for my bridesmaids and I to be able to hang out on the veranda, facing Old town Historic park and pop a bottle of champagne while seeing the guest trickle in to the ceremony site (La Casa Estudillo).

The venue itself is gorgeous beyond belief...Our wedding theme was vintage elegance. The venue already has so many beautiful plants, lights, and decor that we didn't need to overdue it with flowers or decorations. Working with Lynn who coordinates the wedding events was an absolute pleasure, she helped us navigate through last minute changes and really became more like a friend than venue coordinator.

The food and cocktails were top notch and the absolute best part, the part my guests still are raving over was the "after party" which we decided to do which took place inside the beautiful cosmopolitan, once the wedding was technically "over". We had a live Colombian Salsa band and danced until 1am ! We also provided a gourmet taco bar which our guests absolutely LOVED! Let me tell you, you pay far too much money to have your wedding end at 10pm and then have everyone go somewhere else for an "after party". Let this be your everything! Best part all we had to do was go upstairs at the end of the night :) Overall it was the most beautiful and special day of our life. The Cosmopolitan and its amazing staff delivered everything and MORE!!

Our wedding date was back on October 29, 2016, This venue is absolutely beautiful. I got so many compliments on the venue.
We stayed at the hotel the night before the wedding which was very convenient !
Lynn was very helpful and took care of everything on the day of the wedding I didn't even have to worry about anything she was able to coordinate the vendors that arrived and everything went very smoothly , ( and if it didn't I was none the wiser)
The ceremony place in the courtyard was beautiful and the guests really liked that they could view the ceremony from the balcony !
We had our wedding lunch in the dining room and it was perfect for the 55 people that we had attend and offered a nice, cozy and intimate setting for our wedding lunch.
The food was very very good and the service was phenomenal , the entire service staff was very professional and friendly !

Our daughter chose this venue because of the unique comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. The evening was magical. Lynn was easy to work with and the staff very attentive. Being the mother of the bride I missed the hor d'oeurves, someone told me the bacon wrapped figs were amazing! I mentioned this to Robin and she asked the chef if there were any left. The answer was no but he'd make more up for me! They were delicious! And the entire evening went like that! There was nothing that was too much trouble.

I definitely recommend this venue!

I loved the veue. Not much to add to decorate other than flowers. Lynn was amazing!! She was very helpful the day of and met before to fine tune everything. Not to mention the food is absolutely delicious!!!!! Lot's of variety.

When we were looking for our reception venue we were looking for a beautiful and unique location in San Diego. The Cosmopolitan Hotel and Restaurant could not beat any other location because it is beautiful, unique and it includes food, tables/chairs, bar, and it even has hotel rooms for guests/wedding party to stay - that sealed the deal for us! We wanted a place where we could get ready and easily go rest after the party without having to worry about driving. We booked the entire hotel (about 10 rooms - which are all unique and beautiful), since our wedding ended late at night. Lynn was very accessible throughout the entire planning process and always accommodating to our schedules when we had to meet. The food was delicious; we chose the buffet style. The drinks were great as well; we had a signature drink for cocktail hour and an open bar for three hours included in the package. I had a lot of items as part of the wedding decor, which I was able to drop off a few days before the wedding, including some lace lanterns to replace the regular red lanterns they have at the venue, and the staff installed them for us. We also made some special straws to be placed on our signature cocktail drinks and the bar staff placed one straw on each and every glass (about 150!). The restaurant/hotel manager was amazing to work with the day of the wedding, she was so sweet and accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about The Cosmopolitan Hotel and Restaurant! It is the perfect venue and it includes everything you need: food catering, bar, tables, chairs, you don't need to spend more on rentals unless you want a dance floor (we decided not to have one since there is concrete already and it looked perfect as it is). This venue is PICTURE PERFECT (our getting ready & party photos are amazing) and it is HISTORIC! Plus, you can spend the night and return for another stay/dinner for your anniversary! Thank you Old Town Cosmo for a beautiful and memorable wedding!

When asked what advice I have for couples thinking about booking the Cosmo, all I have to say is DO IT! The Cosmo was a perfect place for our wedding reception. We got Married on September 24th and had a reception to follow and it was worth every penny. I liked that they took care of the dance floor, lighting, and food. It was a one stop shop besides, DJ, Flowers, and Photographer. Lynn, the wedding coordinator, was wonderful to work with. I was trying to plan everything from a distance since I was in Alaska and she is experienced in Weddings/Receptions so she was very helpful. I probably asked her a million questions, and asked for her advice just as much and she always had the most perfect answers. VERY HELPFUL! The entire staff at the Cosmo was very nice and helpful too. When we went to set up the morning of the wedding we needed to borrow a few things and needed a little help and even though they were setting up for brunch, they did not mind taking a second to help us. The staff that worked the event at night were amazing and super nice to all our guests. I had countless complements on how beautiful the venue was from our guests and we were also amazed as we walked for the first time married! The food was always fantastic. I just wish I had more time to eat, or room in my dress to fit it all in! We had the Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon and it was so yummy, we missed the cocktail hour when those were served, because of photos, but the staff has saved some for us, and those were the first to go! Really, I can not express how perfect this venue was for us. WE LOVED IT! I highly recommend booking this venue!

Everyone was super nice and helpful at the Cosmopolitan. They helped us make our dream wedding happen with very little stress. We will be coming back just to stay and enjoy all of the great food and service when staying here. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a nice rustic location for a wedding.

Absolutely Perfect!!! So glad we went with Barra Barra Saloon (Cosmo was booked on ur day). The allowed us to have a DJ, candy table, and their wait stuff was fabulous!

I had a dinner reception at the Cosmopolitan to celebrate my daughter's wedding for 56 people. It was truly an amazing evening with the most delicious food, accommodating and responsive staff, and a beautiful setting. Everybody raved about the food and the venue, as well as the staff. I can't say enough good things about the Cosmopolitan and I'm so happy we celebrated my daughter's marriage at the Cosmopolitan!! Thank you for taking such good care of us!!

Going through the planning process we were a little skeptical of just how everything would turn out on the day of our wedding. However, Lynn and the Cosmo truly delivered an amazing wedding reception for us. The food turned out to be amazing and a lot of our guests told us it was the best food they've had at a wedding. We didn't hear any complants about the service and from what we could tell it was great. The manager Robin was awesome and made sure that we were well taken care of on our day, we loved her humble personability. We were so happy with the way everything turned out and we're so glad that we picked to have our reception here, so many guests told us it was a perfect ambience thanks to the layout and feel of the venue. Would highly recommend.

We planned our wedding with the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Restaurant from Michigan and would have not wanted anyone else. If you are searching for an event venue like no other then look no further. Their Event Coordinator was responsive, accommodating, and willing to work with us in every detail. It is not surprising that our wedding was perfect in every way. We booked the entire property for the weekend and the team was hospitable and welcoming to all of our guests. The actual day of the wedding was stress free and turned out amazing thanks to the professional team they have in place. As an added bonus, they are part of a larger property group that facilitated our rehearsal dinner at one of their sister properties. Food & Drink was amazing, even by Old Town standards. This place is a true gem, and a bargain. You definitely get more than you pay for!

We had our wedding at the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Restaurant in October 2015. It is an absolutely beautiful wedding & we received nothing but positive feedback from everyone that attended! The location was stunning at night, the food was delicious (definitely get the ahi tuna tacos! amazing!!), the service was fantastic & the cost was very reasonable!! We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend the venue!
We had 75 guests - the venue can accommodate more people but with this number it had a nice intimate feel and the layout made it still feel like we were using most of the space. We just rented the courtyard space and the hotel rooms (definitely rent the hotel rooms as soon as you book the venue - they do this separately from the wedding packages) for the night! I think the restaurant was still open inside but I didn't notice and no one wandered into our wedding.
We selected a buffet option and it was wonderful! Since many of our guests were visiting from the East Coast we want to stick with a southern california theme. It's not their traditional wedding package but we had surf & turf enchiladas and chicken poblano with a huge assortment of side dishes. Also, the churros got rave reviews from all our guests. Everything was hot and delicious at the buffet too and there was a TON of food! Everyone loved the food!
There are two ceremony options for the Cosmo 1) you can have your guests on the balcony overlooking a ceremony going on in the courtyard or 2) you can have it across in the casa estudilo gardens. We did the casa estudilo & it was absolutely beautiful!! I think in total it ended up being about $1,500 to have that additional space but it was unbelievable!
Lynne Simpson is fantastic and takes great care of her brides :) You do need to hire a day of coordinator though. I'd recommend hiring two people for this because it would have been nice to have someone coordinating with the cosmo staff and someone else wrangling our family and friends.

Wow!!! just about sums up my wedding day.The staff at the Cosmopolitan went above any expectations I could have had. My family and friends were so amazed by the service and staff, they were a regular discussion all night long. We had the best of times, a wonderful meal, and a great staff to take care of everything. As with any event, we had unexpected mishaps (see below), the staff did everything in their power to minimize the impact to us.
We have stayed at the Hotel many times before but this was our 1st event. It will now be our 1st to go place for all future events. If there were 10 stars I could rate from it would not be enough.
Example: Members of our family were in an accident coming down that day, the staff made sure meals were prepared and warmed for them when they arrived late, (really late).

One thing that was important to us when we were looking for a venue was that we wanted an outdoor venue that felt original- not your standard restaurant, beach view, or hotel ballroom. Something about the Cosmopolitan and Casa de Estudillo felt uniquely "us" and we knew right away we wanted to get married here. Everything about the venue turned out to be perfect. My husband and I can't stop reminiscing about how much fun we had, and we've gotten so many compliments from our guests. I love looking at our photos too- the Cosmo photographs SO WELL!!

I can't recommend this venue enough.

After months of searching for places with nothing clicking, we contacted Lynn at the Cosmopolitan Hotel & Restaurant in Old Town and were thrilled to discover not only that it was well within our budget, but the venue itself was absolutely gorgeous and full of history. She made every aspect of planning our wedding simple, easy and fun. Whenever we had a question, she would email us back quickly. The food was amazing and all of our guests raved about it.

I was stressed out and nervous the day of our wedding, and Lynn kept everything running smooth and efficient. We had a few rough patches (with our DJ, NOTHING to do with the hotel!) and she helped keep things on track. The staff attending to us that night and the next day were absolutely outstanding, especially Scott, Sean and Stephanie. Our honeymoon suite was perfect. And the drinks? Oh my god. Try the mojitos!

Please, do yourself a favor and have your wedding here. It's the best way to start your new life together! =)

Lynn and the Cosmopolitan staff are such a pleasure to work with! They are more than helpful and attentive to the events, and always go above and beyond to make it a perfect day. I enjoy working with the staff and recommend this location any chance I get!

Lynn Simpson was the event wedding planner for my daughter's October 2015 wedding. Lynn was was awesome in every aspect of the wedding arrangements. She was easy to talk with, plan and change arrangements, find vendors, efficient, and very personable all the time. The Cosmopolitian Hotel and Restaurant was perfect for a wedding and reception.

The best decision I made in my entire wedding planning process was my first one: choosing the Cosmopolitan as my reception venue. I don't even know where to begin my praise. My now husband and I came to the Cosmo for our first site visit. Lynn was friendly and fair and drafted a proposal we both thought was more than reasonable for our tight purse strings. But green as we were, we wanted to see what else was out there since the Cosmo (as charming and perfect as it was) wasn't DIY enough for us.

But after a venue search adventure that took us everywhere from San Diego to San Luis Obispo to Pioneertown in Joshua Tree and pretty much everywhere in between, we ran straight back into Lynn's loving arms at the Cosmopolitan. And never looked back.

First of all, getting married in Old Town is the single best thing you can do. Something about getting married in a place where vibes are positive and teetering on celebratory is a wise choice. People are just happy in Town...whether it's the Mexican food or all that tequila...it's just a rad place. Add to that the historical appeal and beauty of the Cosmo with its gorgeous outdoor courtyard and old-timey charm. There's no better place for a festive celebration.

My guests absolutely loved the Cosmo. I've been told since my wedding by many of them that my wedding was the "best ever" and that the venue was "perfection". They were also over the moon about the food served during cocktail hour and for dinner. The size of the courtyard makes a wedding of more than 100 feel intimate enough but not crowded. Although I'd imagine a much bigger wedding may be too much.

My advice to any couple getting married at the Cosmo is to really take the time to get to know the venue and the people who work there. It's truly a special place with such rich history. And the employees of the Cosmo are some of the best people you will meet.

I cannot thank Lynn at the Cosmopolitan enough for making my wedding day PERFECT! It was the best day of my life and the Casa de Estudillo Museum and the Cosmopolitan were better than I had imagined. The ambiance, staff, food, everything was exceptional!

My guests thought the Cosmopolitan as the reception venue was gorgeous and I'm thrilled all my friends and family had a great time.

The Cosmopolitan provided the ideal venue for our wedding reception. It was very close to the church we used (First United Methodist Church) and made the planning process incredibly simple. This was important for us because we were planning the entire event remotely.

Lynn Simpson was a phenomenal event planner and was very responsive to all of our needs.

The best piece of feedback I can give is this: we used the Cosmopolitan AGAIN two years later for another reception following the baptism of our daughter :)

I cannot put into words how wonderful our wedding experience was at The Cosmmopolitan Hotel in Old Town. We felt amazingly special to hold our ceremony directly next door at The Casa de Estudillo. I did not need to handle permits or rentals as the reception venue was able to handle all of that for us, which relieved a lot of stress that could be related to celebrating one's special day in a public park. They were even able to ring the historic churchbell during our first kiss as husband and wife.

Lynn Simpson handled the catering and events at the hotel. She was amazing. She was available, flexible, receptive, friendly and made sure all of our needs were met.

We felt so special to have our wedding day in one of the most beautiful and historic squares in San Diego. Waking up together in the bridal suite overlooking the main square of Old Town while drinking mimosas on the balcony was the most romantic morning of my life.

If you check out the venue, ask to see the bridal suite. It is the size of two rooms connected and it is beautiful! So romantic.

PS Guests told us they loved the food and margaritas! Best margaritas ever.

We planned our reception long distance and were very pleased with everything!! The private room, the food and the service were perfect.

While the contract process was a bit disorganized, the actual event came together excellently. We enjoyed the venue, the food, and the service.

This is a great place for a rehearsal dinner. We had it outdoors and even though there were other restaurant guests, we had a comfortable separation so as to feel we had our own space. The food was delicious and the service was great.

My husband and I live on the east coast, but decided to get married in my hometown of San Diego, CA. We had a smaller wedding and found the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Restaurant through some internet searching. It came up as one of the best small wedding venues in San Diego and it did not disappoint.

It is located in Old Town State Park and is a great place to bring out of town guests to as there are a lot of things to do within walking distance. The venue itself is beautiful and provides a lot of opportunities for great pictures - it has a gorgeous wrap-around porch and balcony, and a lovely courtyard terrace, which is where our reception was held. The ambience is perfect for couples looking for a unique venue to have their wedding.

Lynn Simpson, the event coordinator, was great to work with. She was very organized and attentive to all of the questions we had. Despite the fact that we had to do all of our planning from across the country, we felt at ease knowing that our vision would come together under Lynn's direction. On the night of our reception everything looked beautiful, the food was delicious (all of our guests were very complimentary), and the staff was professional and friendly.

We loved our wedding at the cosmopolitan. It was just what we were looking for in a venue, intimate and beautiful. The hacienda feel with the fruit trees, flowers and market lights paired perfectly with our style. Lynn was very helpful and gave great recommendations for local vendors. The food was delicious and many guests complimented it.

We worked with Lynn at the Cosmopolitan. She was an absolute pleasure, easy to reach, gave suggestions,was very friendly, no undisclosed charges. The staff on the day of reception was exceptional! Food was very tasty, drinks were good, fun upbeat beautiful atmosphere for an evening reception. We live far away, out of town so never seeing this place or meeting others at first was stressful, but the overall planning was easy and pleasant with Lynn.

Had my wedding at the Cosmopolitan in 2014 and the wedding planner asked me to move my wedding date 1 month before the wedding after taking my deposit 5 months prior. Never apologized and tried to get rid of our party. Food is good, but not for a wedding.
