  The best planner!

  There would never be enough words to describe all that Cori and her team did for us for our wedding. I initially contacted her 3 months prior to our wedding as I thought I could do it all on my own - big mistake! She jumped right in and handled absolutely everything in such a timely and calm manner. Wedding day was upon us and she made sure everything was done, we had time to chill/rest/relax knowing that she would handle all the details. I hope if you are reading this and looking for a wedding planner you book with Cori. It was the best money I ever spent on my wedding. Love Cori and her team!

  Best Planner in KC!

  I'm so happy we hired Composure and they made our day perfect! Genevieve was amazing and was very professional. She made our day run smoothly and I was stress free, which is very important for a bride. They are well known in KC and have a good reputation with other wedding vendors. I had complete trust in them and I know my day wouldn't have gone the way it did without Genevieve.

  Couldn't have done it without them!

  We came to Composure initially drawn by their “TheModern” package – something that allowed us to have someone alongside us for our entire engagement, but that still left the vendor discussions and decisions in our hands (which I liked). They also had great options for folks who just wanted a coordinator closer to the day of, OR on the other end of the spectrum having more full “white-glove” planning services, but this middle package was exactly right for us and something we didn’t really see at the other planners we looked into.
  
  From our first conversation, my husband and I were amazed by how easy it was to talk to Sarah, how many tools Composure had at the ready to guide us through the process, month-by-month, from start to finish, and how thorough and candid she and Cori were in responding to all of our initial questions. That made it an easy choice from the start, and every meeting, e-mail, and sidebar text I had with Sarah from that point on reinforced our choice. (Not to mention the automated “helpful tip” e-mails that would come to us from Composure every so often, timed based on our date – such a nice touch!)
  
  It was evident every time we met that Sarah had so much knowledge not just about the industry in general but about the vendors in the KC area specifically – it felt like the suggestions she made for our vendors were really tailored not only to our preferences and price ranges, but also to our personalities, which was so massive for this very awkward and unprepared bride. Not only that, but she also had great advice and tons of past experiences to draw on when we had questions about etiquette or how to handle certain situations – and we had plenty of those! Her eye for design when pulling together our rentals and other little details was also immaculate… I am hopeless when it comes to décor/design so I needed all the help I could get, and she was so patient with me every time I sat and stared for a while – “buffered”, if you will – at a small design element she was showing me.
  
  When everything came together on the day of… wow. I literally can’t even stand how perfect it was. It was the most seamless day from start to finish. I remember feeling the night before like I knew every individual piece would be great on its own, but was uneasy about how it would look when it was all put together… and as soon as I saw it all I couldn’t imagine why I had ever felt like that. It was like, where any “vision” I had of my day was blurry beforehand, or fragmented or altogether not there, suddenly there it was. It was cozy, and dreamy, and moody, and somehow felt intimate without being at all stuffy or crowded. And I would have never thought to pull all of those things together the way we did – not without Sarah’s patience, advice, gentle reminders, and support along the way. It was a long year planning for us, not without stress, but I know 100% that I would have had an absolute mental breakdown if we didn’t have her by our side.
  
  I’ll wrap this review up by just saying, brides and grooms – if you’re looking for someone who will guide you through the wedding planning process leading up to your big day (occasionally over a flight of beer), and who will work to swiftly remove any potential stressors ON your big day (occasionally by appearing out of nowhere with a glass of prosecco), AND who is just a joy to be around – Sarah is your gal, Composure is your team. We (and our families) can’t say enough how wonderful it was to work with them.

  Wedding planner

  We involved Cori and her wonderful team from the beginning of our wedding planning process. She made the whole engagement much more simple and relaxed pace at meetings really breaking down tasks so it never felt like too much at once. We got to enjoy our entire wedding day and soak in all the magic they created for us. All issues day of we’re handled perfectly (including a transport issue that they resolved so beautifully we didn’t even know there was one until we debriefed the whole day later!). The relationships they have built in the industry clearly payed off. Thank you Cori and Composure!

  They’re Amazing!!

  My husband and I decided to go with Composure Events as our Day of Coordinator. We were really looking for someone who understood the contemporary and modern vibe that we wanted at our wedding and they fit that role perfectly. Despite them only being a Day of Coordinator, they were extremely hands on throughout our engagement and wedding planning process. Any questions we had while planning they didn’t hesitate to help out. They have multiple connections to other vendors as well. Not only did they help us find a few other vendors, but everyone spoke extremely highly of Cori and her team AND we were able to get discounts on other vendors because of them. The day of our wedding had quite a few bumps that were out of anyone’s control and our DOC, Sarah, handled every issue with such grace and ease. She took care of everything the day of the wedding: working with other vendors to set up and tear down our venue, ensuring we stayed on time, answering questions for friends and family so I did’t have to - you name it and she was there. I cannot describe how much stress she relieved for the day of our wedding and how perfect our day was because of Sarah. If you are considering a DOC - do it and do it with Composure. You won’t regret it!

Professionally, Sarah was incredibly organized and on top of it, she knew exactly the right questions to ask us, and she helped us think through numerous details we had overlooked ourselves. But more than that, Sarah clearly had a genuine interest in getting to know us as people and as a couple, and she was so comforting whenever we got stressed.   The moment I first met with Cori, I knew she was the one for us. From the first few topics we discussed in our consultation meeting, I could immediately tell that Cori is professional, pays attention to detail, and has an eye and vision for beauty. And let me tell you, my first impressions of her were entirely correct but also barely scratched the surface. Over our 18 month engagement, meeting with Cori every month was easily a highlight moment for us. She made even the most minute decisions feel incredibly special and thoughtful--which made making them incredibly fun. Having her as our planner gave my husband and I the space to focus on our marriage, dream about our wedding day details, and ultimately fall even more in love--knowing that Cori was always behind the scenes taking care of us and the logistics in any way she could.   I can not begin to explain how wonderful Cori and her team made our wedding day. From the very beginning, Cori brought a level of excellence, knowledge and expertise that made us incredibly confident in our decision to choose her as our wedding planner.
  
  When you select Cori and her team you are not just gaining a wedding planner. You are gaining an absolute force behind your wedding day. My husband and I feel so grateful that Cori was there to walk us through the entire process of planning our day from start to finish. All we did was give her our vision and she executed.
  
  She has incredible connections in the wedding business and was able to help us hand select vendors that were able to execute our wedding beyond our wildest imagination. She also was able to do this while we were living thousands of miles away in California. We met regularly throughout the process to make sure everything was going according to plan but otherwise, we truly didn’t need to lift a finger throughout and were able to show up and go through our wedding day with such ease because Cori and her team helped take care of it all.

  Highly recommend Composure Events 'GrandFinale' package for month-of coordination!

Cori was the perfect balance of being organized and on the ball while also helping ensure my husband and I had fun and stayed relaxed the final stages of wedding planning.   The BEST team in KC & beyond

  If you are looking for a planner for events - Composure Events is your girl gang! Cori (owner) was our planner and I can’t even begin to describe how professional, organized, and personable she is. Every aspect of our wedding was planned perfectly. I’m a super organized person and was so impressed at how on top of it she was, it gave me priceless peace of mind on the day of knowing she was taking care of everything behind the scenes.   If you are looking for a planner for events - Composure Events is your girl gang! Cori (owner) was our planner and I can’t even begin to describe how professional, organized, and personable she is. Every aspect of our wedding was planned perfectly. I’m a super organized person and was so impressed at how on top of it she was, it gave me priceless peace of mind on the day of knowing she was taking care of everything behind the scenes.   Wow! I cannot say enough great things about Composure Events. From the start Cori was so easy to work with. We chose the day of coordinator package and it was worth every penny. Rebecca is AMAZING!! Our wedding would not have gone as smoothly as it did without her. Rebecca is incredibly organized, on top of things, responsive, detail oriented, kind, empathetic, the list could go on and on. We are SO grateful for her.   I cannot praise Cori and Composure Events highly enough. We hired her for the full service planning package and it was easily one of the best decisions we've made. Cori was organized, friendly, and professional every step of the way. Her modern elegant style was so helpful as we planned our downtown KC wedding. She not only helped to keep us on schedule throughout the 12+ months of planning, but her vendor recommendations and ideas on how to make the day our own really went above and beyond. During our wedding day I had no concerns about the logistics of the day because Cori was always one step ahead of things.   Working with Composure Events was THE key component in our perfect wedding day!

  Having Composure events plan our big day was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. Cori and her team are thoughtful, intentional, brilliant, and incredibly helpful. Not a single thing went unplanned. Our wedding went smoothly with zero stressful situations. We were able to sit back, relax, and trust that our planning team had everything under control. Not only did we get to have the wedding of our dreams we were able to build a friendship with our planner that we cherish. Composure events has numerous vendors that they work closely with so that your day can be built to customize your desires and dreams. I cannot recommend Composure enough. We loved the entire experience working with them!

  Having Cori and her team be a part of our day was one of THE best things my fiancé (now-husband) and I did for our wedding day!! I actually first met Cori when she planned my sisters' weddings, and I was so impressed with how stress-free she made their days. After seeing first-hand how Cori prioritized their happiness (and sanity!) on the big day, my husband and I knew that when we got engaged making sure we had Cori and her team working with us was one of our first priorities. Lost florist? Unexpected rainstorm? Best man rips his dress-shirt minutes before the ceremony? When the inevitable "hiccups" in the day happened, Cori and her team skillfully and smoothly handled it, without any additional stress or fuss. She also thought of thoughtful little details, like tucking away some extra cake in the getaway car, for us to enjoy at the hotel after our reception!

  Rebecca and Cori were absolutely amazing as my day of coordinators. I cannot speak highly enough of them. They were incredibly helpful and made the day completely stress-free.   We went with the partial planning package and Cori, Rebecca and the team were ON IT. They were always very responsive, organized, and just fun to be around.   Rebecca and the composure team were life savers for our wedding!! Planning an outdoor wedding in Kansas City is no joke, and having them to depend upon leading up to and on the day was something we didn’t know we needed, until we did. The whole team was amazing and we are so grateful!

She ensured all vendors were in the right place at the right time and that expectations were met. She had all the essentials in her emergency kit that we could possibly need.
