When we started the wedding planning process, we knew we wanted to hire a day of coordinator. My career is in project management, but I wouldn't have been able to be as prepared and organized without the help of Composure. I researched and interviewed 4 local planning companies and knew Composure was the right fit because of their experience and professionalism.
I highly recommend Composure for any wedding planning needs. Although we only used them for "day-of-coordinating", it still came with numerous benefits such as weekly email reminders and tips that you should be thinking about, regular check-ins and an above and beyond service on the day of your wedding.
I received SO many compliments from my wedding party and family on how great Genevieve and her team were on the wedding day. Any potential hiccup was handled expeditiously and without my knowledge. I didn't have to worry about a thing on my wedding day. -

Words cannot describe how amazing Cori is. She made my dream wedding come true and made the wedding planning process seamless and stress-free. My seamstress would tell me I was such a chill bride, and I owe it all to Cori.
We started planning in January 2024 and our wedding was July 2024. Though it was a shorter-than-normal time frame, no details were left out. We were lucky enough to have the full planning package, so Cori and her expertise were at our disposal. Every meeting was detailed, yet efficient. If I wasn't on track with a task, she would kindly follow up. She made sure all vendors knew the details and would always keep me looped in.
She always responded in a quick manner, no matter the time of the day.
She never pressured us to go beyond our hoped for budget, and always reassured that no matter what we did, she would make sure it was perfect. She provided great advice and was a great confidant when I needed it most.
She also has the best selection of preferred vendors around the Kansas City area, some of which come with discounts because of the partnership. Our wedding was at the Loews Kansas City.
The day of, she was always by my side making sure I was ok and that I had what I needed (drinks, makeup, etc). Her team day of was also extremely professional and made sure nothing went wrong, and if it did, I didn't know about it.
Cori is extremely knowledgeable in the wedding industry and always made sure we had the best time from the first meeting til the big day. I highly recommend Cori and Composure Events for your wedding planning needs. -

WOW. I do not even know how explain how wonderful it was to work with Composure Events for our wedding. We specifically worked with Cori and booked the Fully Composed package to have full-service planning from start to finish, and we have zero regrets. Cori and her team are professional, organized, enthusiastic, and creative. I felt at ease and stress-free throughout the entire planning process. I never had questions about what we needed to do next or what vendors we should book for the best experience, because Cori always had it handled with the best ideas, and organized timeline, and trusted vendor recommendations. Every vendor she recommended delivered exactly how she said they would. We were so pleased!! Not only did Cori help our special day come together so seamlessly, she doubled as our moral support, friend, and sounding board. Especially the day of the wedding, she was always there with a shout wipe, lip gloss, Advil, a hug, or a drink of course :) An honorable mention was the night of our rehearsal dinner, it rained and we were having an outdoor garden party. Rain was not in the forecast, so we did not have a tent. Cori ran to the Dollar Tree and rushed back with as many umbrellas as she could find. She was always there to save the day! Our design came together so beautifully. Cori and her team brought our Pinterest board to life, and even better than we could have imagined. Composure Events has an eye for high quality material and cares about every detail. Overall, we could not have chosen a better team for our wedding planning process and we would recommend Composure Events to anyone and everyone. -

She made our day run smoothly and I was stress free, which is very important for a bride. They are well known in KC and have a good reputation with other wedding vendors. My husband and I decided to go with Composure Events as our Day of Coordinator. We were really looking for someone who understood the contemporary and modern vibe that we wanted at our wedding and they fit that role perfectly. Despite them only being a Day of Coordinator, they were extremely hands on throughout our engagement and wedding planning process. Any questions we had while planning they didn’t hesitate to help out. They have multiple connections to other vendors as well. Not only did they help us find a few other vendors, but everyone spoke extremely highly of Cori and her team AND we were able to get discounts on other vendors because of them. The day of our wedding had quite a few bumps that were out of anyone’s control and our DOC, Sarah, handled every issue with such grace and ease. She took care of everything the day of the wedding: working with other vendors to set up and tear down our venue, ensuring we stayed on time, answering questions for friends and family so I did’t have to - you name it and she was there. I cannot describe how much stress she relieved for the day of our wedding and how perfect our day was because of Sarah. If you are considering a DOC - do it and do it with Composure. You won’t regret it! -

If you’re looking for a wedding planning company in KC, look no further than Composure! We worked with Cori personally for over a year, and she customized a package that perfectly suited our needs for an intimate modern wedding in KC. She was so helpful and knowledgeable as she assisted us with booking vendors, kept us on track with action items each month and answered all of our questions along the way. Two months out from the wedding, we transitioned to Sarah as our coordinator, and she was phenomenal in executing a flawless wedding day for us. She and her team took care of everything from setup to takedown and everything in between, allowing us to enjoy the day stress-free! Throughout our almost two-year engagement, we felt we were in great hands the entire time. We truly don’t know what we would have done without Composure, and we can’t recommend them enough! The moment I first met with Cori, I knew she was the one for us. From the first few topics we discussed in our consultation meeting, I could immediately tell that Cori is professional, pays attention to detail, and has an eye and vision for beauty. And let me tell you, my first impressions of her were entirely correct but also barely scratched the surface. Over our 18 month engagement, meeting with Cori every month was easily a highlight moment for us. She made even the most minute decisions feel incredibly special and thoughtful--which made making them incredibly fun. Having her as our planner gave my husband and I the space to focus on our marriage, dream about our wedding day details, and ultimately fall even more in love--knowing that Cori was always behind the scenes taking care of us and the logistics in any way she could. I do not say this lightly (as a person who is often very anxious), but I was 100% stress-free on our wedding day because I knew Cori had it covered. I cannot praise Cori and Composure Events highly enough. We hired her for the full service planning package and it was easily one of the best decisions we've made. Cori was organized, friendly, and professional every step of the way. Her modern elegant style was so helpful as we planned our downtown KC wedding. She not only helped to keep us on schedule throughout the 12+ months of planning, but her vendor recommendations and ideas on how to make the day our own really went above and beyond. During our wedding day I had no concerns about the logistics of the day because Cori was always one step ahead of things. I recommend hiring a full service planner to anyone who is planning a wedding and Cori is the best of the best. -

Having Cori and her team be a part of our day was one of THE best things my fiancé (now-husband) and I did for our wedding day!! I actually first met Cori when she planned my sisters' weddings, and I was so impressed with how stress-free she made their days. After seeing first-hand how Cori prioritized their happiness (and sanity!) on the big day, my husband and I knew that when we got engaged making sure we had Cori and her team working with us was one of our first priorities. Lost florist? Unexpected rainstorm? Best man rips his dress-shirt minutes before the ceremony? When the inevitable "hiccups" in the day happened, Cori and her team skillfully and smoothly handled it, without any additional stress or fuss. She also thought of thoughtful little details, like tucking away some extra cake in the getaway car, for us to enjoy at the hotel after our reception!
From the moment we first met with Cori to the end of our reception, she immediately put us at ease. She was highly organized on the front end to ensure that when it came time for our wedding we had nothing to worry about and could enjoy the day. Our wedding itself was a dream, and Cori was a huge part of that. Cori and her team are incredibly organized and professional, but they're also so warm and FUN to be around. I cannot recommend Cori and Composure Events enough! -

Having Composure events plan our big day was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. Cori and her team are thoughtful, intentional, brilliant, and incredibly helpful. Not a single thing went unplanned. Our wedding went smoothly with zero stressful situations. We were able to sit back, relax, and trust that our planning team had everything under control. Not only did we get to have the wedding of our dreams we were able to build a friendship with our planner that we cherish. Composure events has numerous vendors that they work closely with so that your day can be built to customize your desires and dreams. I cannot recommend Composure enough. Just in case you don't get to the bottom of this long, 5-star review... 100% WORTH IT, LOVE CORI and Composure Events and she completely MADE our wedding day. Cori was our day-of planner for our wedding on 10/10/20, but her amazing advice, help, and support started way before our big day. From the moment we connected with her, she was ready to be there for us and give us the day of our dreams. Throughout the entire planning process (with several change-of-plans due to COVID) and day-of coordination, she was calm but assertive when needed, helpful but never pushy with suggestions, and on top of her communication with us and our other vendors. On our wedding day, I truly did nothing - which was SO great. She went above and beyond, down to taping my shoes that were falling off my feet right before I walked down the isle!!! We were able to totally enjoy our day. With all our last-minute changes, I really didn't know if it would all come together... but walking into our reception, I was blown away! She had executed our vision for our big day flawlessly. If there were any hiccups, I sure didn't know about them (still don't?!). When our reception was over and we were gathering our things, we even tried to offer help and she simply said "everything is taken care of" with a gorgeous smile! I loved that, and everything WAS taken care of - down to the cake, gifts, decor, tips, etc all handled. My family said they loved that we were totally in the moment the whole day, and that would absolutely not have been possible without Cori! Looking back at the other coordinators we were also considering, I would pick Cori 100 times over. She was a perfect fit for us and I honestly would have paid MORE for her. On a personal note, she is friendly, supportive, hilarious, and just a joy to be around! Thank you Cori for everything! -

Cori was in one word "amazing." We had hired composure events originally for our 400 person large Indian wedding. Due to the pandemic, our party was reduced to 80 individuals. She was so sweet and very familiar with the Indian wedding process. Cory helped us to organize and plan everything around our vendors and guests regarding making sure everyone was following social distancing and safety guidelines. She also was so wonderful at keeping everything organized and making sure that all details were completely done before the wedding. We found super helpful her weekly task updates that let us know what she was working on/what we need to be working on. On the day of our wedding, there was so little stress because Cory had everything handled before and on the day of the wedding. All in all, we truly loved her and would recommend her and Composure Events to everyone! -

We planned a wedding with Cori for almost two years - she kept us on target and had a thorough project worklist that covered all the bases. Then Covid-19 hit. While we went back and forth on what to do, Cori helped us keep up with our original plans, just in case, but also was able to start the alternative vision. She was invaluable at contacting vendors with the cancellation and helped us with our "elopement". The day went fabulously and she made it extra special with details. P.S. I'm not the bride, I'm the mother of the bride, so I know what she did to take the stress off of us! -

Cori was like a coach and teammate throughout our 6 month planning season. She was timely, communicative, competent, collaborative, personable, enthusiastic and organized. She responded well to feedback and helped troubleshoot any planning challenges we shared. On the wedding day, Cori helped make the venue look stunning and kept the events running smoothly with her assistant. We do not have family in the KC area, so having a wedding planner throughout the whole process was incredibly helpful and well worth the investment. -

Best Stress-Free Wedding!
I would give 5 stars to Cori as a wedding coordinator because of her responsiveness- she was so quick to reply to texts, emails, and phone calls. She was extremely flexible and was professional with her work. It was a gift to have her help me set up meetings with vendors when I was in town and with setting up phone calls when I was out of town. I tend to lack attention to details and Cori helped me to remember those little details and with last minute plans, such as help with booking makeup, hairstylists and wedding venue. My wedding day was so amazing and almost stress-free. Cori and her team decorated so well that the venue looked even better than I could have imagined. Don't hesitate to book Cori as a wedding planner and coordinator! She will be the best decision you could have made! -

Cori did a wonderful job of meeting my husband and I's needs as we planned our wedding! She was always available through text and email, answered all of our questions, and helped us budget our wedding based on our limit. She recommended a fantastic photographer to us as well! So thankful for all she did for us!
