  Absolutely delicious!

  Comparti has been an amazing part of our wedding! Melissa, Andrew and team were absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious and they made the space look incredible!

  Perfect Wedding Caterer!

  My husband and I were so lucky enough to find and book Mac, Felipe and their team for our wedding! We thought the food was delicious right from the start and our guests were absolutely blown away. The food that Comparti provides is just amazing and not your traditional wedding food, it’s unique and some of the best food we’ve had in NYC. Guests have continued to rave to us about how much they enjoyed the appetizers and food at our wedding!!

  Fantastic Wedding Catering and Service

  We used Comparti for a 100+ person backyard wedding in NJ in June 2021. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Comparti. From the outset, Mac put us very at ease in answering all our questions and concerns about the logistics of a large backyard wedding with the food preparation on site. They were very helpful in putting together the menu and custom-tailoring certain items to our preferences. The food was delicious, the presentation and service were excellent, and we received many compliments from our guests about the food and bar service. Everything about working with Mac and Comparti was very smooth from the tasting all the way through to the day of the wedding. When we had issues with our transportation of guests to the afterparty, Comparti even went the extra mile to let us utilize their shuttle to transport guests. We would highly recommend Comparti to anyone looking for a wedding caterer.

  We truly cannot say enough GREAT things about Comparti! They catered our wedding at 501 Union in January, and they did a fantastic job! Not only was Melissa and the rest of her team incredible to work with, but most importantly the food was delicious!! We received so many compliments during and after the wedding. My Uncle told me the salmon was the best he’s had in his life (wow!) and we had many guests rave about how unique and wonderful the food as well as the service was.
  From the first time we met Melissa for our tasting, we knew that Comparti was who we wanted to go with. The knowledge that she brought to the table about the food, venue, set up, and rentals was extremely helpful.   Above and beyond and a little further than that

  Whatever you are planning, you need to book Comparti to provide your food. It will be the best decision you make! The food itself is absolutely incredible, but what really sets them apart is their organization, service, and passion. Melissa was so easy to work with and truly every email, every meeting was a joy. Planning a wedding can be really overwhelming and from the beginning, Comparti (and Melissa in particular) provided as much support and advice as we need, even on aspects beyond the catering! She really helped us put together the schedule of the day and customize every part of the experience to our needs. As I didn't have a wedding planner, feeling like Melissa was always in my corner was really welcome. I told my husband through the whole process that every time I thought Comparti couldn't be any more fantastic, they would do even something more to make our experience fantastic. I've also barely even talked about the food, and everyone there said it was one of the best meals they've ever had and definitely the best wedding food.

  Amazing Food Coupled With Amazing Staff!

  Nothing but praise for Melissa and the Comparti staff! We had our wedding at the Brooklyn Historical Society recently and it turned out better than we imagined. Melissa brought her A-team to help us with our wedding! The food was incredible - our guests were raving about the menu. Beyond that, the staff was coordinated and professional. They were attentive - no detail was left unattended. I would highly recommend Comparti for any large group events, but particularly weddings. They will not disappoint!

  A+++ Impress your guests with Comparti

  It’s been 4 months since our wedding and we are STILL getting rave reviews about the food from our guests. We were blown away by our experience with Comparti from the beginning planning phase until the last drink was poured at the reception. We served a family style meal that was custom designed based on local favorites (short rib, trout, pasta primavera) from the Catskill Mountains where our wedding was held. Comparti went above and beyond to bring our vision to life and the care and attention they put into our menu was on full display for our guests. We got married in a barn with no kitchen and Comparti had no problem serving hot, high quality food despite having to setup all their own equipment. Our food was served family style and allowed everyone to eat as much as they wanted of what they preferred. Many guests told us how they asked for seconds and how Comparti was quick to re-supply any dish that ran low. Guests raved that they couldn’t get enough and it was the best wedding food they ever had! We even had a couple that was getting married the following month tell us that they were now convinced they wanted to change plans with their caterer and serve a family style meal based on the experience they had at our wedding. I could go on and on about how beautiful and delicious the food was and how as bride and groom we actually had a chance to eat and enjoy each bite. Comparti had servers ready with appetizers and our signature drinks immediately following the post ceremony pictures so that my husband and I could try one of everything before getting caught up with socializing. What a nice touch! Speaking of the drinks, WOW! My husband and I spent a lot of time coming up with our specialty cocktails and Comparti’s bartenders did not disappoint. Drinks were delicious and just as we planned. It’s such a fulfilling feeling to see your vision come to life and to know that your caterer is going to put as much thought and attention to all the details that you worked so hard to plan. Thank you to the incredible Comparti team and staff for your exceptional service and for making our wedding day perfect! We are so grateful that we found you!

  Delicious and Accomodating

  We had SUCH an amazing experience working with Comparti. They were so flexible with what we wanted and the food was as amazing as it was the night we went for our tasting and it was also beautiful on the tables. Everyone we spoke to enjoyed it - they even got shout-outs during one of the speeches.
  
  They were also just so easy to work with, available and responsive. They took care of all of our rentals and met with us in the showroom to make sure the decor looked just right. They were always responsive on email and we even jumped on the phone to make sure there were no confusions more than once. We really felt that they went above and beyond what a normal caterer does. And they did everything that they could to make sure our day was perfect. We 100000000% recommend them.

  We love Comparti!

  We got married at The Green Building (Brooklyn) in April 2019 and decided to use Comparti as our caterer. This was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire wedding planning process! We worked directly with Mac and from day one, at our tasting, we knew him and Comparti were the perfect fit for our big day. He was detail-oriented, very professional and also friendly and easy to work with. He made sure he understood the vibe of our reception and recommended dishes he thought would complement this. He was flexible and open to recommendations and suggestions, he included my favorite dessert (tiramisu) on the menu even though it wasn’t one of the typical dishes provided! Mac helped coordinate our rental through Broadway Party Rentals, he attended our showroom visit to Broadway Party to pick out plates, silverware, etc. and made recommendations on specific items we should rent vs. skip. Catering is where most couples spend most of their wedding budget and Mac was cognizant of that - he offered affordable menu options and we never felt like we were being pushed to select more expensive menu options. Mac was also a great sounding board for other wedding decisions, like timeline of the reception, where to get menus and signage printed, what did and did not work in the space, etc. On the day-of, his staff was very professional and efficient, they transformed the space from ceremony mode to dinner mode beautifully, plus Mac himself was there! There was a plate of appetizers waiting for us in the bridal suite after our ceremony and they packed us takeaway dinner and dessert leftovers at the end of the night. So many of our guests gave us compliments on the food! It was a pleasure to work with Mac and the rest of the staff at Comparti, we highly recommend them!

  Outstanding Food and Exemplary Service

  Comparti catered our wedding at 501 Union for 225 guests. They were a sheer delight to work with and the product was A+. Even the tasting dinner was tastefully executed and created a perfect opportunity for my parents to meet my in-laws. Melissa and Mac were hands-on throughout the process. Their guidance was invaluable.

  Dream Team

  We used Comparti for our wedding this past October, and it was hands down the best decision we made. Since that night we've had countless guests compliment the food and the wine - several even said they thought it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding before. Mac and his team are both personable and professional which made them truly flawless in both planning and execution. We even changed our cake the week before the wedding and they were happy to accommodate! They really helped make the night so special.

  Mac and his team at Comparti catering are amazing. We had an outdoor tented wedding in upstate NY and Mac and his team took the lead on ordering all of the odds and ends for the dinner/drinks service so we didn’t have to deal with it ourselves which was such a relief. There were so many instances where they made sure to let us know they cared about making our day special. For example, the men in my family love Coors Light (who knows why) and made me specifically request them for the wedding from Comparti at the last minute. Not only did they happily accommodate my request but they added the special touch of serving my family the coors lights on serving trays during the cocktail party which everyone thought was absolutely hysterical!   From our first meeting with Mac and his team at their restaurant Colonia Verde in Brooklyn, my husband and I knew that working with them would be the easiest and best decision when it came to our wedding.   From our first meeting with Mac and his team at their restaurant Colonia Verde in Brooklyn, my husband and I knew that working with them would be the easiest and best decision when it came to our wedding.   Comparti is the only catering/event management team we will ever use! We cannot say enough amazing things about the food, the team and the execution. We got married in November 2016 at 501 Union in Brooklyn and Comparti was the only caterer we considered. We're lucky enough to live in Fort Greene and became regulars at the restaurant, Colonia Verde, which is owned by the same group that created and runs Comparti. We ended up having our engagement party and Thursday night dinner at Colonia Verde followed by our wedding and brunch catered by Comparti.
  
  Every person has a different priority for their wedding and, for us, we wanted an unbelievable, foodie experience for our guests. We went with a family style meal that was truly a feast and nothing like a traditional wedding menu. We had three starters (duck confit tacos, grilled fresh salad, harvest corn) followed by three entrees (steak three ways, achiote roasted chicken, almond crusted squash) and went with an array of our favorite desserts (le pasion, tres leches and churros). People walked away saying they felt like they went to an amazing dinner party versus a wedding and that's exactly what we wanted! Lauren is the chef and she's incredibly creative and talented.
  
  Now onto the team. What you don't realize about Comparti right away is that they are a full-service team. They handle every detail from menu creation to rentals and servers. Mac leads the team and he has a very hands-on, service oriented approach thanks to his considerable prior experience in hospitality. It's a roll up your sleeves kind of team and they are great at problem solving and making sure you know everything is handled.

  Comparti was amazing. Everyone on the team is a pleasure to work with, always willing to help wherever they can. I can not stress how great they truly were and endorse them wholeheartedly. (FYI - I am the groom writing the review, not the bride, that is how amazing they were that I feel the need to say this).
  
  I always like to include the con so people know it is a legit review (there is always a con)... they are not cheap. Not that they are overly expensive but you will find cheaper caterers out there... I would recommend not going with that option. We almost did and realized there is a massive difference in customer service.
