We had an absolutely beautiful Christmas ceremony and reception at the Columbia Club. The venue is gorgeous and the cost is much better than its competitors. The food was amazing at the tasting and came out exactly the same at the reception. The wedding manager did change in the middle of planning our wedding, but the transition was smooth and the quality of their service didn't change. We had our ceremony in the Grand Lobby and the reception in the Crystal Terrace and since it was Christmas-time you could see the lights from the tree on the circle twinkling in the window (they also let us use some of their Christmas decorations which was really nice and very cost-effective!). It was also very nice that the venue is a hotel - our guests could rent rooms right in the venue. We are so happy we chose the Columbia Club for our wedding. It was an epic day and night and exactly what we wanted for our wedding.

We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at Columbia Club at the Crystal Terrace and it was such a great decision. Hannah was amazing to work with to set up the event, she was on top of everything and made the whole process incredibly easy. The set up was perfect for our party and the food was delicious, everyone gave so many compliments. I fully recommend this venue!

The venue is perfect for elegant and classy weddings. I would recommend getting a jump on the wedding decisions early because there are many, but if you forget a small number the wedding coordinator is excellent at discussing and trouble-shooting those details.

We loved the venue, hotel, service, food, and for us it was by far the best value for money however we had a somewhat unique circumstance.

My experience with the Columbia Club was SUPERB. Our in house coordinator AJ Ploughe was magnificent.

We held our reception in the 10th floor ballroom at the Columbia Club. The venue is beautiful and you cannot beat the location right on the circle downtown. It was an added convenience that our guests could stay at the hotel. We were surprised to find the Columbia Club was actually more affordable than many other downtown venues. Hannah, the club's wedding coordinator, was great to work with. She was always professional and quick to respond to any of our questions. We would definitely recommend the Columbia Club!

- AJ, who will work with you on your wedding, is better than most planners. He comes up with amazing ideas that will help you in your planning. He was the one who told me about the Club old fashioned popcorn cart that I could use for my movie themed wedding. It was a hit!

- AJ does lots of weddings and events each year, and he is really hard to get a hold of during busy times. It took us weeks to get the menu figured out - up until a month before the wedding.

- The Columbia Club is much more reasonably priced than a lot of nearby venues.

- The Columbia Club is a historic building with beautiful architecture and decor. If you are looking for a building with character, a history, and personality, this is it!

We had a great experience with the Columbia Club! They were super flexible and worked with us on costs. AJ was so great to work with. We highly recommend the Columbia Club!

My guests were WOW'd by the location and amenities. The meal was delivered to all of my guests hot and within a short time. The facilities were beautiful and I received several compliments on my choice of venue.
The Colombia Club even worked with us to create a specific menu in our budget and taste and worked seamlessly with my wedding planner to provide services I didn't even know were happening while I enjoyed my wedding day!

Our wedding was everything that we could have hoped it would be and more! AJ and his team were fabulous from day 1! I would highly suggest this venue for any wedding.

Fantastic venue. It was the best bang for our buck for a Sunday brunch ceremony and reception. We did not have a wedding planner, and hosted about 90 guests. The space was stunning, and needed little by way of decoration. AJ was an absolute pleasure to work with. At times during the busy parts of the year he is difficult to get a hold of, but he managed every detail perfectly, managed the vendors and made the day a breeze. The food was excellent, we had beer and passion fruit mimosas that folks loved, and the location made guest access really convenient.

Everything flowed wonderfully during our reception at the Columbia Club. AJ was wonderful at meeting with us and including everything that we wanted for our big day! He is a very busy person, so it did take a few calls and emails to get a response back at times. Note: We had a variety of problems with the bridal suite and guest rooms. This is dealt with through a different person! Many card keys did not work, they gave me an occupied bridal suite at first, and then had to make me wait the night before my wedding. Make sure you are proactive in making sure you get the rooms that you want!!! Otherwise, a great place!

The Columbia Club was a lovely venue for our wedding reception. They were flexible with our special requests and made sure that everyone had a wonderful time. We thank AJ and his staff for all of their hard work.

Nathan and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Columbia Club this past June. The Crystal Terrace (3rd floor) is absolutely STUNNING; large stain glassed windows bringing in natural light and beautiful marble floors. We had some personnel changes during planning that were mostly smooth transitions. Hannah is the coordinator now and she is great - very professional, great at responding to emails, and if she didn't know the answer right away, she sought after it quickly. She definitely helped make the day run smoothly. We also had a room block at the Columbia Club. The rooms that are not renovated look their age, but they got the job done. The food at the reception was AMAZING and DELICIOUS, not to mention HUGE portions. My only negative thing to say about the whole experience is once we got closer to our date, I felt like unexpected expenses kept popping up, although that may be true of just wedding planning in general. Even with those, the Columbia Club is one of the best values for downtown Indy. You can't beat the location and the price, especially if you know a member of the Club.

In my opinion, this was one of the best settings to have a wedding reception in Indianapolis. Great location right on the circle and so many great photo opportunities. The ballroom is beautiful and has a very classic look. If you have a smaller wedding there is a smaller room that is absolutely gorgeous as well.

To be honest what you get in terms of the scenery you give up a bit in service. Those that run the hotel and take care of the rooms are great but the wedding/event planning portion was pretty poor. I would highly recommend having your own planner to make sure everything runs smoothly.

The air conditioning had not yet been turned on (IN JUNE) and my dad had to leavee because it was too hot. It was ridiculous, and they had guaranteed it would be on and working.

Columbia Club has gone down hill and there’s a constant turnover with management. Jason, who was our wedding manager in August, is already gone and he was new when we first started planning. I will only name a few of the many issues we had with this vendor. 1. I checked into the bridal suite and there was poop in the toilet and the other toilet didn’t flush. Absolutely disgusting and shows no one cleaned the room . 2. Our guests were serving themselves alcohol during cocktail hour because CC was understaffed. 3. Two guests and my husband saw a cock roach on the 10th floor during cocktail hour. 4. We had caterers from Chicago come to drop off food for cocktail hour because it had to be kosher. In our contract it stated that only the CC is allowed to handle outside food. Our caterers said the staff was running around with no progress and didn’t help the caterers set up the food. They never served most of our cocktail hour food ($5k wasted) and when we said we’ll come back the next day to get it ... no one could find it. The only good thing about this venue is the location but honestly dealing with all of their BS, excuses, and disorganization is NOT worth your time or money.
