We booked Amanda for Month-Of Coordination and she was an absolute joy to work with! Amanda was polite, professional, prepared, and calm throughout all correspondence and day-of work. Amanda provided invaluable insight on our wedding day timeline and kindly circulated that to our full vendor team. During our venue walkthrough, she brought up so many details I hadn't even thought about, and made expert suggestions on how to address those details. I had a lot of decorative elements that were important to me, and Amanda executed that vision flawlessly. Amanda even has a collection of items available to borrow which came in great handy (easels, candles, cake stands, etc). We experienced some super last minute guest cancellations - I hesitated to text Amanda at midnight on the eve of our wedding, but she replied and addressed those changes expertly. After our wedding, Amanda worked quickly to pack up everything (it was a lot!!!), including items I neglected to make a plan for, like the bouquet and wedding cake - so grateful to Amanda for that!! I truly cannot imagine how our wedding day could have happened without Amanda. We purchased her month-of services and feel like we truly got our money's worth. The portal she provides access to (AislePlanner) was extremely helpful - we used it to arrange the tables, establish the seating chart, and develop the timeline. The intuitive interface saved so much time and effort during an extremely busy month. Additionally, Amanda offers a comprehensive inventory of wedding items (ie candles, frames, hurricanes, etc.) that helped save money and bring everything together. It was so helpful to not have to spend time and money finding those last few items to finalize decor. Lastly, Amanda's support on the actual day was incredible. She was instrumental in giving us the stress-free day of our dreams. She was 3 steps ahead of us the entire day - every time I thought of something, she had already taken care of it. We hired Amanda for month-of/day-of coordination for our September 2025 wedding, and we truly can’t recommend her enough!
From the start, Amanda was exceptionally organized, communicative, and attentive to detail. She ensured our wedding vision came to life!
On our intro call, when I was overwhelmed with decisions, she immediately asked what was stressing me out the most—and offered practical, thoughtful solutions (which I ended up taking and was so glad I did!). That moment really helped build my trust in her early on.
As a project manager myself, I can be particular about small details and have a hard time letting go—but Amanda was on top of ALL the details leading up to the wedding and kept everything updated and organized for our vendors.
She was incredibly proactive, regularly checking in during the month-of—if she hadn’t heard from me, she’d reach out first.
The day of the wedding she even lent us many wedding decor items from her personal supply and arranged our decor. While we had simple decor and florals, I had a specific vision, and Amanda executed it perfectly.
We are especially appreciative that Amanda packed up nearly all of our reception items and personally delivered them the next day, working around our schedule. That extra step gave us such peace of mind and made it even easier to enjoy our wedding day.

Amanda was truly a lifesaver! From coordinating our very large families into one photo (no small feat!) to setting up our DIY decor, she handled everything with patience and grace. Everybody tells you not to expect your wedding to be perfect, but ours truly felt that way because of Amanda. Her organization, thoughtfulness and professionalism put us totally at ease, and we were able to enjoy our wedding day and be completely present knowing we were in very capable hands.
We met with a couple larger wedding planning companies but wanted more flexibility and a personal touch, which we found in Amanda. We opted for the month-of-coordination package since we were comfortable planning most aspects of the wedding but needed help on execution and logistics.
Amanda impressed us from the first day. She came to our venue meeting, wedding walk-through and our house to make sure we'd thought of everything. She loaned us some display items for the wedding and ensured all of our cards, gifts and personal items got back to us safely while we were celebrating. Everywhere we turned, she was there: making last minute seating changes, keeping us on schedule, making sure our guests knew where to go (and when to leave!).
We really couldn't recommend her (and her dress-saving red wine spray) more! -

Amanda is simply the best. Honestly, I don't know what we would've done without her during this planning process.
She understood our wants and needs, and most importantly, stuck to our budget. She found the best vendors that made our wedding what it was. Amanda also kept it real with us, which we found very important. She would tell us what's in our budget and what wasn't and never tried to upsell or push us.
Amanda was incredibly responsive via email and text, especially leading up to the big day. And on our wedding day, I didn't worry about a single thing because I knew Amanda would handle it all. We were able to enjoy our beautiful wedding because of Amanda's hard work.

Cannot say enough great things about Amanda. We hired her for month-of coordination and she took over seamlessly and I had NOTHING to worry about on the day. Amanda was the perfect day-of coordinator for our June 2024 wedding in Old Town Alexandria! She addressed concerns of vendors prior to the wedding and handled last-minute emergencies the day-of with ease. She assisted greatly with crafting a wedding timeline and following up with all our vendors. She ensured that the day was stress-free for the bridal party/family. Could not ask for more!

As mother of bride of the bride I had interviewed several planners before Amanda and all of them would not touch my daughter's wedding unless the budget was close to $75,000!!!! However, Amanda was able to work with ours and make suggestions on how to cut costs. Hattie's wedding was in DC, and I was in the South, but she was responsive and very attentive to the bride and groom's desires which is a tightrope with a mom!! I would highly recommend her for your event. I didn't think I needed a planner but her recommendation's on vendors was invaluable. We loved working with Amanda as our month of coordinator! We got engaged in August and wanted a fall wedding so we were a bit pressed for time. We had all our venues locked down but, as we got close to the date, I knew we would struggle without the help of a coordinator when it came to the details, setting up the spaces, and cleaning up - despite it being a smaller wedding. Luckily Amanda was available to help us and she thought of so many little things we had forgotten or hadn't thought of - like the liquor license for the welcome dinner, ideas for how to set up the ceremony space the night before, and many other details (like adjusting my dress at the altar because I didn't have bridesmaids!). When I asked her if she'd have enough to do since it was a smaller wedding with simple decor, she pointed out that she often does more in these cases than when there is a large vendor team to manage. And she was right - she was often in two places at once and was a lifesaver! -

Wonderful Experience
We opted for the "month of" wedding coordination services with Amanda for our wedding at Meridian House and had a wonderful experience. Amanda met with us about a month out from the wedding date and she mostly focused on planning a detailed timeline for the day. As we got closer to the date, she also helped coordinate some additional logistics (like picking up small decor items and bringing those directly to the venue). She also helped us navigate some tricky conversations during our walk-through and advocated for us when our catering company was giving us a hard time about some items. And on the day of, she was so organized, kind, calm and set up everything beautifully! Amanda always responded quickly to our e-mails and was very organized, and on top of that, she really made us feel comfortable with her warmth and her kindness. -

Amanda was amazing! She was there for every step of the process as we got close to our day. She always answered our questions and was very helpful the day before and day of. If you’re deciding whether or not to hire a planner, just do it. It’s worth the cost because we were able to enjoy our day.
Our cake was accidentally thrown out and Amanda reached out to our baker to have them make us another one. It was really nice of her and we appreciate that she went out of her way to do that for us. We love you Amanda!!! -

Above and beyond!
We hired Amanda as our month-of-coordinator after already signing contracts and getting things in place with our other vendors, and I knew immediately from her sweet and laid back personality that she was going to be wonderful to work with! Our venue was pretty strict with arrival and departure times, and she managed to make our big day flow so smoothly within those parameters- and other unexpected circumstances, like the rainy weather from Hurricane Ian on our wedding weekend! (I didn't end up being stressed about the rain, surprisingly, thanks to Amanda reassuring that we would still be able to make it all work and have the wedding of our dreams despite the rain- and we did). Her attention to detail was truly amazing: she even went above and beyond when I accidentally left an overnight bag at the venue, by driving there and back again to my hotel that night, to make sure I had it! There was one point in the weeks leading up to our wedding where we were a little concerned about responsiveness (she was handling multiple weddings at the time) but after expressing our concern to Amanda, she was so professional in her response and we had nothing to worry about afterwards!
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would 10/10 recommend hiring Amanda for your wedding! She will make your day so easy and fun! -

Amanda turned our visions to reality. Weddings during these times are extremely challenging and we needed someone with exceptional knowledge and flexibility, Amanda and her team was it. Amazing!
OMG!!! Amanda went above and beyond as my Month Of Planner. We hired Amanda in August for my 10/26/19 wedding when we were frantic to find someone who could help. She met with my mother and I multiple times before the day to go over details, and became the main point of contact on the day of for all our vendors. On the day of, a few things went awry and Amanda handled them with grace and quick-thinking. Our cake baker forgot to put the fondant chocolate Lab on our cake, and Amanda's husband went out and bought a dog figurine and she hand painted it during cocktail hour for the cake. Then, someone spilled red wine all over the back of my dress and Amanda and some friends did some quick work to make the stain hardly visible within a matter of minutes so I could go enjoy the rest of the reception. She also helped keep my husband and I on track time-wise throughout the day without pushing us to rush special moments, like greeting our guests and saying our final goodbyes. Most importantly, we had SO MUCH FUN on our day because Amanda look the stress away from us. Her calm demeanor helped us keep our cool during the crazy times but also take in the day without any stress.
She is also so sweet, professional and easy to work with. All of our family and friends raved about her, and she seemed to professionally get along well with our vendors as well. I got engaged right before my fiance deployed overseas, and had no idea how to plan a wedding in 5 months. Amanda made everything happen - from researching options for me to choose from for bridesmaid dresses to booking us taxis and dinner reservations for our honeymoon. I didn't know what I wanted for a number of things, and she would come up with ideas to help direct me. She was always reachable and attentive, and is just generally a delight to work with. Amanda, who runs Colorfully Yours, is completely amazing. Her responsiveness and flexibility was perfect for us. She's EXTREMELY attentive to details and makes fantastic lists and spreadsheets: she made timelines for each and every member of the wedding party, and even one for family and friends! It seems like she knows every vendor in the NoVa area, and her business savvy and acumen are unmatched.
Our wedding had a bunch of moving parts, and Amanda (and her team of family members!) took care of all of it smoothly and professionally. The weather almost turned on us day of the wedding, and she worked like crazy to move everything inside at the last minute, even after it was already set up! She's a magician!
If there was any problem or question we had, she was lightning quick to respond and start working on solutions. Our wedding was amazing, and a large part of that is due to Amanda and Colorfully Yours!

Overall, we were very satisfied with Amanda: she was organized, efficient, and professional in her communications. For context, we signed with her 5 months before the wedding, and, at that point, we had secured only the venue and the bride’s dress and were very close on the caterer. Our wedding was approx. 100 guests in northern VA. When we talked with Amanda, we were initially interested in month-of planning, but ultimately chose partial planning for help with vendor selection. Amanda was up front that she didn’t have much available space, but believed she could fit us in nonetheless, as we didn’t require design services.
Prior to the wedding, she was invaluable in identifying and narrowing down available vendors within our budget (florist, DJ, strings, shuttle, photographer, cosmetics). Amanda sent us detailed emails with potential options and helped us connect for consultations. We will note that we would have had more peace of mind had the vendor process been wrapped up a bit sooner; that said, all were secured with enough time, and Amanda was quite responsive and helpful when we communicated our anxiety about that timeline.
Amanda uses a tool called AislePlanner (which seems pretty standard among planners we talked with). We did not end up using many of the features of this tool, since we had already started tracking our budget and guest list elsewhere. It did provide us access to a comprehensive to-do list that Amanda prepared, which flagged several items we wouldn’t have otherwise been aware of until it was too late. The key feature was the day-of, minute-by-minute timeline, which Amanda built out for us and kept up to date. That was absolutely essential.
Importantly, Amanda was incredible at the rehearsal and on the day of the wedding. She took charge without being domineering, was judicious in pulling us aside to ask questions or move the day along, and handled family questions with a light but firm hand. Special kudos for moving our outdoor ceremony inside after a thunderstorm began 1.5 hours prior to our ceremony start (despite the fact that the rain call had been made 3.5 hours earlier); it seemed to our guests that we had always planned for an indoor ceremony. If she recommends that you add on an additional assistant for the day of for a nominal fee, take her advice—for us, it was well worth it.
After speaking with about 7 planners, we learned that fees for planning vary widely! Also, the definitions of services are not the same planner to planner. Based on our conversations, Amanda’s fee for the services rendered was extremely reasonable, yet she did not act like a “budget” option.Colorfully Yours Weddings & Events's reply:
