If you want a completely stress free experience, let Corey and his amazing team plan your event. I've worked in hotels 26 years and I had
lofty expectations and every single one was exceeded. I've never met a better wedding planner. Expert knowledge, outstanding service from Corey and the staff at Colonial Heritage. If I had it to do all over, I wouldn't change a thing. Corey thought of literally everything. He made it fun and soecial. -

We chose this venue for so many reasons! It’s beautiful, large, and the food/drinks are AMAZING! Added bonus: the event planner, Corey, is absolutely wonderful!! There was ample space for the wedding party to get ready, and beautiful spots for photos. The entire staff all night was great and all of our guests had great things to say. We used Colonial Heritage just for the reception, but Corey made sure we got to the church on time, and was right there waiting when it was time to go back to the venue. His partner, Kathy, worked so hard to set up for us and made our day truly beautiful. Colonial Heritage is the perfect place to have your wedding! -

So, I have to start off by saying that Corey and Cathy are a stellar duo for coordinating weddings! They were the absolutely perfect day of coordinators and made sure that everything turned out even better than what we had originally planned. Cathy did a lot of the decorating and behind the scenes work while Corey made sure we stayed on time and got where we needed to be. When we initially toured Colonial Heritage to see if we wanted to use it as our reception venue, Corey greeted us with such enthusiasm and excitement that we almost didn’t care what the venue looked like (GB Shrimp 😉). We just knew we had to have him there on our wedding day.
Colonial Heritage is a beautiful venue and the ballroom is large enough that it doesn’t feel super crowded. All of our guests loved the space and everyone was pleased with the food. We are huge food and drink people and they made sure that we had everything we wanted on our big day, including the specialty cocktails! We were also looking for a venue that wouldn’t cause us to sell our first child and Colonial Heritage was definitely more reasonable than quite a few venues we looked at in the Williamsburg area. Especially since all linens, dinnerware, food, and alcohol were included with the price. Not to mention this venue is a wonderful place to take pictures! With the waterfall, fountain, gazebo, magnolia row, and the golf course, there’s tons of spots that make for great photos.
We couldn’t have imagined our day being any more perfect than it was and without Corey and Cathy’s help it wouldn’t have been possible. If you’re still looking for a venue, please at least tour this place and give it a look. I promise you won’t be disappointed! 🤗 -

As a COVID MOB that had to move a wedding in 3 weeks the team at Colonial was a dream team. Their professionalism and response time was spot on. I never had a text or email not responded to in a timely manner and the day of the ceremony they were fantastic to notice every detail that needed taken care of. One of those details was knowing right where a box was that held the missing marriage license. From the Thursday night rehearsal to the Friday night wedding the team was always there for us and were friendly and professional. We could not of pulled this wedding off without Corey and his team! I would recommend Colonial to anyone that is holding a wedding and reception. The food was outstanding and served in a timely manner. The bridal room was very nice and had great servers checking in on us and the groomsmen loved being able to relax in the game room. Both rooms were great for photos before the wedding.The team and the venue made for the perfect place for the wedding and reception. Fantastic!
Colonial Heritage was the perfect location for our wedding day. Our ceremony was held outside behind the clubhouse overlooking the 18th hole and pond with a fountain. It was absolutely beautiful. We were able to utilize the entire veranda and deck area for our cocktail hour, which was perfect! Our reception was located in the ballroom where we had plenty of space for dancing, which was important to us! The staff (especially Corey) did an amazing job and everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend Colonial Heritage for the perfect wedding location! -

Stacy, Jose, and everyone else who worked with us from day one to the big day were FANTABULOUS! My husband and I loved the place, the service, the staff, the professionalism, the quality of the food, and of course, the director of happiness - Stacy Krick. She's overflowing with energy and charm. Every time we visit the venue prior to the wedding, we look forward to seeing her and planning every detail of the big day. She makes such a difference to the whole planning experience. The picture attached below is the first time I met with Stacy. She was giving us a tour and ... well the picture says it all. Colonial Heritage Golf Club is a stunning place to get married at. The ballroom is very spacious and elegant. We had an outdoor wedding ceremony at the knoll and had about 200 guests for a reception at the ballroom. The place did not even need much decorations because it is beautiful enough on its own. This venue is definitely worth every penny. My husband and I have looked into other venues to compare but Colonial Heritage is surely the best for its price and service. What makes this place different from everywhere else is the feeling of warmth and comfort from the beginning and all throughout the process. Everyone we worked with were very attentive to detail, very professional, very friendly, and very flexible. They will all work with the bride and groom to guarantee a memorable wedding. The food and drinks were amazing! We had a buffet dinner service with an ice cream and cookie bar for dessert - best idea ever. I can go on an on about everything that happened on our big day but there's not a single negative thing that I can think of. If you're reading this and still deciding on a venue, this is the place!

September 2020 wedding
10/10 would recommend this venue and staff! Corey and Cathy made it such an easy experience for this bride. Very stress free. If any questions, concerns, or help with anything (even outside of the venue) Corey and Cathy give 100% effort to help in any way. I was able to get married during a pandemic stress free! My guest are still raving about the food and the fun they had. -

They were with us every step of the way and were open to everything from creating a new (vegan) menu just for us, to providing equipment and support that fell short on the day of. Stacy and Jose allowed us to use their office as storage space the night prior for our decorations without complaint, and helped set everything up the day of. The food for both our rehearsal dinner and reception was out of this world. We were obviously hoping for a great event, but Colonial Heritage really knocked it out of the park, and we could not have been happier.Colonial Heritage Club's reply:

We searched and interviewed many locations when trying to find the perfect venue to host our wedding reception. The staff and overall initial experience at Colonial Heritage was beyond reproach. We were forced to change wedding dates as a result of COVID and Corey and Cathy with the venue were more than accommodating. Any questions that arose through the planning process, both were willing and able to respond quickly and in the most professional manner. We also had our rehearsal dinner at Colonial Heritage which was also amazing. They truly went above and beyond to make our wedding a magical experience for both the bride, groom, parents, bridal party and guests. I would highly recommend this amazing venue and team to anyone looking for a personal affair with no attention to detail going unnoticed. -

There aren't enough thank you's in the universe for Stacy and her team. Our wedding day went perfectly because of everyone at Colonial Heritage. Stacy and Cathy took care of the logistics, Jose made sure our setup was just right, Vonnie made sure me and my bridesmaids were well taken care of (she was practically one of my bridesmaids by the end of the night). Our bartender was amazing. Everyone joined in for a dance or two at the reception. Seriously - they make you feel like family. If you're lucky enough to have an event here I know you won't regret it.Colonial Heritage Club's reply:

Completely Unbelievably Amazing
This venue was AMAZING! Corey and Cathy were the absolute best to work with. They made every step of the way so much easier. No matter how big or small your question is they are always there to help. Anytime, I questioned myself on things They were always a text, email, or phone call away. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding planning team! The location is gorgeous and the team was fantastic made our dream wedding come true! -

Crystal Sent on 09/27/2016Absolutely pleased with EVERYTHING! Started bumpy with our coordinator but they hired someone new so in the interim Andrea the director took care of us. In general all of the staff was wonderful, the team will help with any items you need setup; I DIY'ed almost everything and they set it up perfectly with minimal directions. I had so many guests RAVE about the food which I never expected- we had interactive stations (mashed potato bar was a hit). Again I can't say enough wonderful things about Andrea! The team went above and beyond! Thank you! -

What an amazing venue! Our wedding was March 24 and it was the best day ever. The landscaping was gorgeous, the spiral staircase, breathtaking ballroom, and beautiful outdoor patio area with a view blew our guests away. We had the pleasure of working with Stacy and Ashley who were fantastic. Stacy really worked with us in creating an amazing day that still stuck within our budget. The included mimosa bars while the gals and guys got ready was a sweet man treat! (Oh and the free round of golf for 4) The food wasn’t AMAZING!! I still have friends and family telling me about how tasty it was. For food the venue provided a large selection to choose from. I loved that we were able to bring in our own vendors for everything else. We live in Virginia Beach and had no problem having our guests drive the distance for this location. I secretly hope one of our engaged friends choose to get married here too so we have an excuses to go back!Colonial Heritage Club's reply:

THIS VENUE WAS INCREDIBLE! I found it just by googling top rated venues in the area, and from the pictures and hundreds of glowing reviews I was happy, but when we went to actually tour it, it was Corey and Cathy who absolutely sold it. These two will be soldiers at your side the entire process, and come your wedding day they want you to enjoy it as much as possible and worry about as little as possible. They are both so responsive, caring, and so, so professional. We had rain on our wedding day and they moved our ceremony indoors, and partnered with their recommended DJ/MC (Liz Daley), they made the reception ballroom look absolutely incredible, and everything went off without a single problem despite the last minute change. Rehearsal dinner was delicious and such a fun time, even just getting ready day of was a lot of fun, and Corey and Cathy were checking in as often as possible to make sure everyone was ok. The grounds itself is just gorgeous, so many opportunities for amazing pictures and beautiful views, the veranda was perfect for cocktail hour, and the ballroom was an incredible space for the reception. If you’re looking to get married in the area, do not look any further than Colonial Heritage! -

Walking into Colonial Heritage, we fell in love with venue. Then we met Corey, OMG. We fell in love all over again. Corey is the best ever and he made the day go so smoothly! His experience is unmatched. Corey and the entire staff worked with us for over a year and we even had to postpone once due to Covid. Corey responded to quickly to every text, email and call. He makes sure your day is perfect and everything is about YOU TWO! Colonial Heritage is gorgeous! It’s in a gated community and there are tons of areas for beautiful pictures. I couldn’t imagine our wedding day going any better than it did. You will not regret having your wedding or any event at Colonial Heritage! -

Every Dream Came True at Colonial Heritage
Every couple has a vision of what their special day will look like. Thanks to Colonial Heritage, every moment in our vision came true. Each staff member was 100% on-board and open to my new, and sometimes challenging ideas. The facility offers multiple rooms to help cater to each type of guest, and a expansive overlook of the grassy, golf course knolls. The facility was even built for the sun to set behind it. Amazing!
This is a stunning facility with enough grandeur to please the pickiest guest. Event planners were over-the-top amazing, promptly emailing over the months of planning with helpful resources, and ensuring all of our guests were comforted on our special day. Specifically, without prompting, CHC staff seated the elderly guests and hand-served cocktail hour appetizers. Multiple store runs and mimosas later, we certainly had found people that dearly love what they do. Throughout the evening, I was kept updated that every little item on my wish list was being checked off. The servers and security team also supported our special day with top notch service – checking off guest lists and maintaining large smiles throughout the evening. The highlight of everyone’s evening were the crab balls and steak. The chef prepared every plate as beautifully as our tasting dinner that we had months before.
The only thing left unchecked is the date for our next event at Colonial Heritage Club!

We couldn’t have been any happier with having our wedding at Colonial Heritage! The grounds were gorgeous with so many picture spots. Food was catered by the venue and every meal was delicious. There were so many options! Corey and Cathy helped plan everything through the entire process and were always a phone call away. It was the best night we could have asked for and loved every piece of the venue! -

We had our wedding last weekend (3/23) and I have had my venue picked out for almost 8 months. I knew this venue was going to be perfect from the moment I walked in. This venue was absolutely beautiful! from the spiral staircase, the the gazebo, to the reception hall. It was breathtaking to see this place and know that I would be getting married here. I was greeted by Stacy, who has an amazing and caring personality. She went above and beyond the entire time to make sure that everything was in place for our wedding day. Ashley came on board later in our planning process and was just as nice and outstanding. They both made sure Tony and I had everything we needed.
Stacy allowed us to create our own custom menu that fit my family better. They allowed us to come the night before to drop off all of our decorations and come early the day of the wedding to start getting ready. I was impressed with how organized they were. We only had one very small miscommunication throughout the entire process. Yes, only one, can you believe that, and they EASILY corrected the issue with no problem at all. This was such a relief that we were always on the same page. Even the morning of the wedding, Stacey was outside setting up all of our decorations, by herself, before the rest of the staff got there. I don't know how I could have done all of this without them. Ashley made sure we had drinks in our hands the entire time so that we also enjoyed our wedding.
After reading a lot of reviews from various sites, the one complaint that kept popping up was lost decorations. I can tell you from my experience, this is NOT the case. I was a DIY bride so my decorations were very precious to me. Yes, you will not get all of your decorations back right away and this is because it takes time to collect everything, just like it takes time so set up everything. The staff gathered all of our leftover decorations and stored them inside the office. Any other decorations were easily found and returned to me with no issues. Ashley even took time out of her busy day to help us get items from our ceremony. So, do NOT worry about lost decorations. Just ask and they will gladly find it for you! Trust me, they have plenty of decorations, they don't want to hang on to yours, too.
I really cannot say enough about this venue. They worked so well with our vendors. They made sure each and every one knew exactly where to be and at what time. I am so grateful to have had these ladies by my side, not just being the coordinators, but being my photographer, hair stylists, officiant, decorator, and just being there when I needed to chat. Thank you so much! I hope that we can continue to stay in touch. -

What can I say, our day was beautiful. This venue was just beautiful, just walking up through the main entrance on our tour, I was taken away. Its elegant and breath taking. Corey and Kathy were rockstars that got our dream wedding to come true. I mean our first day there to talk about having our wedding, we were welcomed with champagne and an awesome atmosphere. Corey and Kathy were a team of sugar and spice, they worked well together and helped if any bump or hiccup that came up even on the day of the wedding. Everyone that attended the wedding were blown away with the venue. There are not enough words to describe this team. If you need anyone to help you on your day this is the place to go!! -

My husband and I had the best wedding of all time, no surprise. Through a year of pandemic replanning, Corey and Cathy made my life easier than I could’ve asked. Everything looked absolutely beautiful. Guests raved about the venue’s beauty, their awesome food and our wonderful bartender. Cathy went the extra mile and made us special bar signage that was so uniquely us. I cannot thank Colonial Heritage enough for all they did for us. Thank you, Corey and Cathy, for making the start to this next chapter of our lives so memorable!

I was supposed to get married at Colonial Heritage Club on 5/23/20, but had to postpone until 5/29/21 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
I was dreading making changes. I had heard horror stories from brides across the country about having to re-plan their weddings. Many had their venues up-charge them just to move the wedding (in the middle of a pandemic, mind you).
Luckily for me, Cathy and the staff at Colonial Heritage Club made my life so easy. They were so understanding and accommodating. It only took two emails and my new wedding was on their books. It was a breeze.
I couldn’t ask for a better venue to work with and I’m very much looking forward to my wedding at Colonial Heritage Club next year!Colonial Heritage Club's reply:

I recently got married at Colonial Heritage Club on 3/26/23 and it was beautiful. The weather was perfect, we lucked out with spring weather being so finicky. Everything came together because of Cathy and Corey. The Colonial Heritage Club venue speaks for itself, when my husband and I went to tour we were blown away and immediately knew we wanted to get married there. Cathy and Corey are a literal dream team and they will make sure you’re taken care of on the day of. Overall, I can’t say enough good things about it. They do also offer military discount, FYI 😉 10000% recommend!! -

Best day ever!
My husband and I recently got married at Colonial Heritage, and we cannot express enough how amazing our experience was, thanks to Corey and Cathy! From the moment we started planning, Corey made the process seamless. His expertise and familiarity with all the vendors were evident; whenever we mentioned we were with Corey at Colonial Heritage, vendors immediately responded with enthusiasm often saying "we love working with Corey!" If you're considering Colonial Heritage for your wedding venue, I highly recommend it, and I can guarantee that Corey and Cathy will go above and beyond to make your day as perfect as ours was. -

Truly perfect
We were burnt out wedding venue touring when we came to colonial heritage and met Corey and Cathy. We immediately hit it off and left that day knowing this was where we wanted to get married! Corey is the “director of happiness” and he truly lives up to that title! I have no words to explain how perfect our day was thanks to the flawless execution of Corey, Cathy, and the colonial heritage team. First, the venue is BEAUTIFUL with tons of spots for amazing photos. Getting ready rooms were perfect, spacious, with a beautiful beverage bar set up for both bride and groom, with a private server and onsite restaurant open all day to order your brunch/lunch. Rehearsal was flawless, and Corey takes the time to make sure your party knows exactly what they’re doing. When I say my wedding day was perfect I mean it was flawless! Thanks to the colonial heritage team there was not a single hiccup or issue and if there WAS we didn’t know it! Corey is with you every step on wedding day. You can see in our photos that he is a hands on coordinator (that’s him throwing the veil, holding the veil, and being held by my fiance!). Little did we know, (and I don’t even know how he did this cause he was so attentive to us), he was snapping photos of EVERYYYTHING and the next morning after our wedding, he sent us a ton of photos which was so sweet to get to relive the day and night right after while you wait on your photos!! Our guests raved about a few things- first, we got the most amazing sunset views off the back of the veranda, the food was AMAZING, came out piping hot and everyone was talking about how delicious it was. Corey and Cathy were entirely dedicated to making sure we had the most fun and memorable day, all while making sure we stuck to our timeline. The ballroom is gorgeous especially with lighting (provided by Liz Daley Events, who was just one of Corey’s amazing recommendations). I did not have a planner, and throughout our meetings Corey harnessed our vibe and brought our vision to life- seriously every detail was perfect. We love them and can never thank them enough for our happily ever after!!! THANK YOU COREY AND CATHY!!!!!! -
