Rich is the absolute BEST
Picking a photographer for my wedding was by far the most difficult task for me. Pictures are the longest lasting form of memory to me and so I had the HIGHEST expectations. I found some of his pictures on google, wedding wire and the knot. I really loved them, but personality is also a valuable part of working with a vendor on such a special day. I had one phone call with him and knew he was going to be great. I booked him right away for my last minute covid wedding 3 weeks away. The day of, makeup and hair were behind schedule and Rich was so calm and reassuring that we would have plenty of time for photos!! Spending the afternoon with him and his partner Tom was a very enjoyable part of the wedding! I would have hired him again without even seeing any of his pictures! Today I got my sneak peak photos and they are far better than anything I could have dreamed of. Thank you so much for capturing my wedding day! -

We planned our wedding from out of state, with less than 2 weeks to prepare before our vacation in Outer Banks. We lucked out finding Rev Jay Bowman to officiate, and he recommended Rich at. Old man Shots. We couldn’t be happier with how the ceremony went and the pictures Rich captured of that day. He has the perfect personality for wedding photography, quietly catching moments and directing groups as needed to keep the day moving smoothly along. Neither my husband or I particularly feel comfortable “posing” for pictures, so we were relieved at Rich’s casual approach and pleased with the natural shots he caught. Highly recommend for a great laid back experience that will leave you with pictures to cherish forever. -

The Best...Around!!
I hate being photographed. So let me start there. And I was very nervous going into the experience. However, from the very beginning Rich and his team were brilliant. They took great care of me and my husband, they worked hard to get the best quality photos and even setup a time after the wedding to do a final shoot. Rich worked mostly with my mom while I was deployed but it felt like one of my friends was taking our picture the entire time. I would highly recommend him and his work. -

Rich was so easy to work with, He captured our vision so perfectly. We couldn't be happier with our photos. He made our experience completely stress free. He and his assistant took charge after the ceremony to get all the family photos and wedding party done quickly and orderly so we could get to the party. We used him for our Engagement photos, our Wedding Day and my Mother used him for her second marriage! Highly Recommend!! -

Best Photographer Around!
Rich was everything we could have dreamed of and more for our wedding photos! His personality and efficiency on the day of the wedding helped us stay on track with the timeline and get all of the photos we wanted. Plus his experience in the industry was so helpful when we weren’t sure what to do because he stepped right in with suggestions and directions that made our day go so smoothly. He’s such a friendly and fun guy that all of our family, wedding party, and guests commented on how fantastic he was long after our big day was over. His pricing is fair and reasonable and our final results were so amazing that we’re having a hard time picking only a few favorites. If you want gorgeous photos of any day in your life, definitely talk to Rich because you won’t be disappointed! -

Absolutely amazing!
Rich is the best photographer we could have possibly imagined for our big day! He is so much fun to work with, incredibly professional and is amazing at what he does! He has become a family friend because he is that easy to love and genuinely cares about the photos he takes and the people he works with!!! He is one of a kind! We met Rich before we had a Venue, a date, or really anything but each other. We went to a Wedding Expo with our moms to begin our wedding planning process 18 months before our ideal wedding date. We did not plan to book anyone, but we wanted to get a better idea of what planning a wedding entailed. When we got to Rich's booth, he was so bubbly and easy-going. He was by far our (moms included) favorite person we had engaged with at the expo, so much that we kept going back to his booth. Before we booked him, he was completely honest about other vendors and always pointed us in the right direction. We saw him on two other occasions that weekend and knew he was the photographer for us. Rich and the groom hit it off immediately with their love for Apple and most of our FaceTime Meetings turned into the two of them going way over the Bride's head with their "tech talk". When setting up our engagement shoot with Rich, we informed him that the groom hired a photographer for the proposal and our insecurities with those photos. Rich told us that it is the photographers job to make us feel comfortable, which is exactly what he is best at. We do not consider ourselves "natural" in front of the camera but in Rich's photos we look so natural! During our engagement shoot and our reception, Rich stayed longer than planned because "the lighting was perfect" and "he was having fun". At the second Expo we went to, Rich led us to ALL of our remaining vendors, literally all of them (DJ, Day of Coordinator, Catering, Floral and Design) and gave us his honest opinion on them. We truly owe a big "Thank You!" to him for leading us to who we believe to be the best vendors in the Outer Banks. We will treasure our engagement and wedding photos forever, and also plan to contact him anytime we need photos taken or just to meet for a cup of coffee in the Outer Banks. We are truly sad, that our wedding is over because we are not in constant contact with him all the time. He has such a fun personality. And in the words of Rich "you need to choose a photographer you really like because they are the people you spend most of your time with" which is beyond true. We feel so lucky that we found him. -

Rich is amazing. He is seriously the most helpful, funny, laid back photographer I have ever worked with. He made the experience so much fun and his work truly speaks for itself. If you are getting married in the Outer Banks I wouldn't recommend anyone else, he also travels as well!!! -

Chris Sent on 09/30/2018I absolutely loved working with Rich on my wedding day. He was so easy going and put me at ease and the pictures were just beyond gorgeous. I can not stop looking at my pictures they were so amazing. He did such a great job and I highly recommend him. I wanted more of an a la carte photo session, I didn't want to spend a ton of money or have a photographer for hours and he was so accomodating to my needs and was willing to charge me hourly and was reasonably priced with excellent quality photos. I am beyond pleased. I wasn't going to even have a photographer initially and I am so glad my wedding coordinator talked me out of it. He was awesome. (and his helper was too :)). -

They were simple, yet beautiful shots, no cheesy or dramatic poses which isn’t my style. The value is so good for the quality of the pictures. Highly recommend ColemanShots!
