I can’t recommend Classical Tents & Party Goods enough! The process for booking, drop off, and pick up couldn’t have gone any smoother! With so much to worry about as a bride it was nice to work with a team that fit into the planning and wedding weekend seamlessly! The sailcloth tent we rented was absolutely beautiful! Since we booked everything initially about 2 years before our wedding there were several changes before the big day when it came to what we needed / wanted to rent and the Classic Tents team was so accommodating and always got back to me extremely fast!Classical Tents & Party Goods's reply:

We used Classical for all of our rentals for our October wedding, from the tent down to the napkins and space heaters. We were so impressed by their wide selection of items and transparency about pricing off the bat. They also allowed us to come into the showroom multiple times to test different table settings because we couldn't make up our minds! The team was so friendly, communicative, and easy to work with - both leading up to the wedding and on the day of. THE go-to for any Berkshires weddings (or beyond!). -

Classical Tents is extremely easy to work with — they provided all the tables, chairs, cutlery, napkins, serving platters, and much more for my wedding! Liz was always so great when I needed to add or get rid of items on my order. She’s a quick communicator and made the rental process easy for me. Everything we ordered arrived on-site the day before the wedding with no issues and in great condition. I highly recommend using them for your wedding! Great Experience with Classical!
We worked with Classical Tents for our rental needs for our back yard wedding in August 2023. I had a very specific vision in mind and they were able to deliver. We rented a sail cloth tent, a mix of wooden and round tables, wooden chairs, all plates, glasses, cutlery, etc., a dance floor and stage, a catering tent, and an extra rain tent. Classical tents was attentive throughout the planning process and asked great questions that needed to be coordinated with our catering team. We visited their warehouse to see all our pieces in person and finalize our order. The set up and break down went smoothly as well! The perfect day!
We worked with Classical Tents for our October 2023 wedding in The Berkshires, and we truly cannot recommend them enough.
We decided to have our wedding on a private property so we had to rent and create our entire wedding from scratch. From start to finish, classical was flexible and professional. Their variety of rentals was plentiful and our big day turned out EXACTLY how we envisioned it.

Outdoor Wedding in the Mountains- SUCCESS!
We could not have had such a beautiful wedding without Classical Tents. Our wedding was set in an open field surrounded by mountains in The Berkshires. Though we were lucky with a sunny day for our Wedding, the tent certainly protected us from the rain the following day during our brunch. All of the details that we ordered from Classical Tents helped to pull the vision together; be it the chairs, tablecloths, lights, dance floor, etc.
I cannot speak highly enough about the professionalism that customers will receive from Classical Tents. You can expect prompt and detailed responses from each person along the journey. We worked with Michele Hotchkin and Liz Chapman. These women have an answer to every question and are truly there to meet your every need to make your event magical. We changed our mind about details along the way and they happily made those changes for us, while communicating when our last chance would be to change any of the details. The men that helped to set our tent up were phenomenal. They worked extremely hard that day and didn't seem to stop until the tent was up! It took about 5 hours for a 40 x 100 tent to go up. It was amazing!!

Classical Tents was the perfect option for my wife and I’d wedding in June. They provided a better quote than my previous searches and were helpful with the entire process. They arrived to the venue at the right time to set up and set down the tent. Our guests loved the views of the tent and dance floor. We used Classical Tents for our small Airbnb estate wedding and we mainly rented tables, chairs, and wine glasses from them! They were excellent at communication and prompt at delivery. There is no one that does it better than Classical Tents. As a recent bride, I used Classical Tents for everything from dessert forks to velvet green tablecloths for a Ralph Lauren Brunch. Classical Tents has always been an awesome rental company to work with, but sometimes they really just come through in the clutch for you. I have worked with Classical many times for my wedding planning clients, and the inventory is awesome -- really expansive, the staff are always easy and kind to work with, the delivery is always within the timeframe they say, the product is as good as it looks online or in the showroom -- I just love the experience every time. But, recently I did a wedding for a client, and we used another rental company (who were still amazing, truly!) and the day of the wedding came, and the oven inside of our venue stopped working. With 1.5 hours before our cocktail hour started I was in a full blown panic calling anyone and everyone I could think of to attain a rental convection oven. I called the owner, Kat directly out of pure desperation and I'm sure she could hear I was about to lose my mind... she didn't even hesitate. Even though they had no ovens available, and it would take too long to get one of their rental grills delivered there she literally purchased a grill and had it delivered from a local hardware store TO THE VENUE within like, 30 minutes. I couldn't believe it. My event went off without a hitch, and no one even knew it happened. Everyone there just wants your event to go well. I can't say enough about the awesome staff at Classical on a regular basis, and now I have a crazy story about how they saved the day to add to the list. Don't hesitate to call Classical for your next event! -

My husband and I did not work with a wedding planner for our 100 person wedding in Williamstown last month. So we were on our own in figuring out what we needed and coordinating basically every last detail, even though we live in Boston and did not know specifics about our venue. We had a relatively 'simple' order - sailcloth tent, lights, a variety of tables, chairs, linens, water glasses, and a generator - but since we didn't really know anything about the process, and it took time to coordinate with our caterer and bartender as to what they were bringing, I felt super needy and uncertain for a long time.
Lucky for us, Carrie was an angel from above and was SOOO helpful for the ~8 months that we worked together over email to put it all together. She had advice, made changes to our order immediately when we asked, and even happy switched our tent type over when we changed our minds and she saw that it was in stock for our wedding day. It was so huge to have someone working with and for us who was professional but laidback and nonjudgmental. I wish I could throw another big party out in the Berkshires so I could work with Classical again! -

Brittany Sent on 10/11/2017Christopher and I can not thank Ashley and the team from Classical Tents enough for all of their hard work, patience, kindness and professionalism they showed us through our whole wedding process. For two years we have been working with Ashley to create our picture perfect wedding; whether it was emailing her to set up an appointment or going through the showroom to decide on colors, Ashley was so responsive, professional and truly a breath of fresh air. She took her time and gave her input on things when I felt stuck... she let me design my perfect "head" table and perfect "guest" table right in the show room so I could show the florist and others what my vision was. No matter what changes were needed, Ashley was always on top of our order. She put my mind at ease many times and I, personally, can not thank her enough for that! Classical also has the most beautiful options from linens, runners, rustic wooden table toppers, whiskey(wine) barrels (etc). You name it, they have it! We are so happy we were able to get two heaters for our wedding day, since it was a bit brisk; they filled the tent right up with warm air and everyone was toasty warm!! We will go with Classical Tents moving forward for any of our future rental needs! Thank you so so much everyone from Classical Tents for all your hard work making our wedding a reality... we truly appreciate it!!

We used Classical to rent lots of things for our wedding, including our tent, dance floor, tables, chairs, linens, silverware, and much more. After dealing with another tent rental company in Albany, NY for a couple months, we were so glad to move our business over to Classical. Classical was more expensive by a decent margin, but to us it was worth the added price because they were always professional and truly knew what they were doing. Michelle and Carrie were both great to work with.
One issue was that they didn’t have any LED lighting, so we had to find lights from another company because the circuits we had available to us at the venue didn’t have enough power to accommodate Classical’s inefficient incandescent bulbs. We hope they’ll invest in LEDs soon.
After they came and put up the tent, we noticed that they hadn’t brought the necessary electric breaker box, and hadn’t put sidewalls at the tent entrance even though it was about to rain for 2 days. But after we called them and told them, they were gracious and eventually came back with both, and everything worked out.
The tent looked great, and many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was both inside and outside. -

We hired Classical Tents for our upscale “backyard” wedding on our family’s property in Stockbridge, MA back in August 2020 for our August 2021 wedding. Kat, part owner of Classical Tents, met with me and some of my family in person early on in the process to get an idea of what our vision was for the event. She then spent countless hours corresponding with me regarding changes, questions all the while being kind, patient and accommodating. Our event was eventually transitioned to be handled by another coordinator, Michele, who was also extremely kind, accommodating and open to all of my countless questions, both big and small. Communication was timely and polite.
There are a few hiccups to mention when it came closer to the wedding. Classical Tents was contacted to confirm set up and break down for the 150+ person event and we were told they do not handle that task. In our contract, it very clearly states that set up and breakdown could be requested, but for an additional fee. When asked what other options there were, we were told that we could hire another company to set up and break down the event, ask family and friends or see if our catering company would do it. Thankfully, our catering company was able to provide this service for us in the end but it did cause a significant amount of stress.
Set up went fine, overall. The tent was absolutely stunning and we could not have asked for anything more. Delivery was timely and efficient. The chairs and tables were fine when covered, but definitely had some wear and tear. We felt as if the crew setting up the tent, mainly the person in charge, was not the friendliest and by the end of the day we felt as if we were a burden to them, not paying customers. In terms of take down, the tent and rented items sat in the field for days after the event. We were not contacted when the tent and rented items would be picked up, either by phone or email.
Overall, there are limited tent and rental companies in the area and we chose Classical Tents based on positive reviews and testimonials. Although the tent was stunning, along with all of the other rentals we chose, we were ultimately underwhelmed with the communication leading up to and during the event. -

We’re writing this review to share a serious safety concern that occurred during our wedding in May 2025. We hired Classical Tents to install a 40x80 “engineered” pole tent at Cricket Creek Farm. Just after guests were seated, a sudden gust of wind dislodged two perimeter poles—one of which flew into a guest table, struck someone in the shoulder, and shattered glass and plates across the table. Another pole collapsed inward before guests jumped in to stabilize it.
After the incident, we inspected the site and found that the pole had not been anchored into the ground in any way—it had simply been resting on a wooden plank. There were no stakes, no base plate securing it, and no resistance to the lateral wind force that the sidewalls created. This is a basic safety failure that should never happen under an “engineered” tent.
We reached out to Classical Tents privately and respectfully. We asked for an engineering review, a written safety protocol for future events, and a clear plan to prevent this from happening to another couple. Despite receiving our documentation—including photos of the unsecured pole—they ultimately declined to take any corrective action, stating their setup “met industry standards.”
If you're planning an outdoor wedding—especially on a site exposed to wind—we urge you to ask detailed questions about how your tent will be anchored. We hope our experience can help others make safer, more informed decisions.Classical Tents & Party Goods's reply:
Classical Tents completed a thorough investigation of this situation. We personally spoke to the venue, caterer, our team, and our tent manufacturers (who we've done business with for almost 40 years), and a number of professional colleagues. We can confirm our tents are all installed consistent within industry standards, and manufacturer’s installation methods. All follow and are consistent with local and state permitting regulations and guidelines. This issue was brought to our attention 6 days after it occurred, the on-call service was not utilized the night-of.
The statement; "the tent was not anchored to the ground at all" is false. A pole tent utilizes poles, tension straps and stakes. This particular tent had no less than 28- tension straps, all anchored to the ground via 56- 42” long steel stakes anchoring it to the ground. The piece of wood, pictured, is to keep the pole from sinking into the ground; this is completely customary and not how or where the tent is anchored.
The tent was not advertised as “wind load engineered” or “structural engineered”. A pole tent, by its very nature, is a temporary structure designed to protect the inhabitants from light to moderate weather episodes. Obviously, what happened on May 17, 2025 at Cricket Creek was a wind surge, or “micro burst” brought on by a sudden, unforeseen storm, which could be considered a force majeure incident, which by its very nature simply cannot be predicted.

I booked classical tents in June of 2024 for our wedding that we were going to have for a tented wedding in June 2025. Then in November 2024- we had to change our venue due to negligence of the venue. The replacement venue we found, had inside space, so we no longer needed a tent, and rentals such as tables, plates, ex the new venue was providing. I contacted Classical tents as soon as I knew of the change and to cancel our contract regrettably. Our quote with them was $12600. They required a 30% deposit which was roughly $3780. At this point the only work the company had done is hosting us in their showroom to see the different selections and sending the quote. When we told them we had to cancel, they only refunded us $700. They made $3000 off us for nothing. I understand there's written terms in the contract, however I gave them more than 7 months notice and they lost nothing. They book multiple weddings a day, and they didn't have to provide any services up to this point. I personally think this is very bad business. I am in customer service and I would never charge someone for something that was not performed or done, and even when we do perform services that don't meet the customer's standards we don't charge them. Making $3000 off someone for doing nothing is just sickening and disgraceful.Classical Tents & Party Goods's reply:
It has been over 7 months since the cancellation took place, and while the terms of the original contract were followed at the time, we want to acknowledge that this situation still matters. Classical Tents is now under new ownership, and although that doesn’t change what happened, we are committed to addressing past concerns with fairness and transparency.
