We could not be happier we went with City and Terrace! As a couple with very hectic schedules, we knew our full-service wedding planner would be one of the most important choices we’d make. We interviewed more than a dozen planners to find someone who could help us establish a unique vision for our big day and also execute on it – all while keeping us on track despite our busy work lives.
Lauren delivered all that and more. We chose to work with her because of her warm demeanor and organized strategy. She was thoughtful, budget-conscious, and took great care to help us bring our dream wedding day to life. We thoroughly enjoyed working with her and appreciated her flexibility given our limited free time.
When the big day came she was in perfect form! Our wedding was everything we hoped it would be. We never felt like we had to lift a finger, even despite all the moving pieces and drama that can be associated with a big wedding (including, in our case, a last-minute rain storm!). City and Terrace was there so that we could enjoy our big day.
Planning a wedding can be stressful, but with Lauren it was a joy! -

Lauren was an absolute life-saver throughout our wedding journey. Her organization is truly a superpower. I have genuinely never seen anything like it. From timelines to vendor coordination to small details I never even thought about, she handled everything with a level of care and precision that eased so many of my anxieties.
She worked with every vendor on the day of the wedding, coordinated absolutely everything, and took literally every task off my hands. She also helped bring our décor to life so beautifully. Knowing she was behind the scenes handling it all allowed me to be fully present and actually enjoy the day.
Any time even the smallest issue came up, Lauren handled it instantly, calmly, and with such confidence that I felt completely supported. She reassured me at every turn and made the entire experience feel so much lighter. I honestly do not know what I would have done without her.
On the wedding day, Lauren and her husband were phenomenal. They made sure everything ran smoothly so my husband and I could focus on celebrating. Her husband even helped bustle my dress, which was so kind and so helpful.
I tell every newly engaged couple the same thing: get a coordinator, whether it is month-of or day-of, because it will completely transform your wedding experience. When my fiancé and I got engaged, we wanted a planner who truly understood our vision, could connect us with stellar vendors, and knew how to navigate wedding planning in NYC with flexibility. Our wedding wouldn’t have been nearly as magical without Lauren and Ryan from City and Terrace.
We were going for a nontraditional Brooklyn wedding that still felt like a wedding, and Lauren was the one who led us to our dream venue, hair and makeup team, DJ, and florals. Everything checked every box and then some. Her attention to detail, organization (those beautiful spreadsheets), and clear communication made the process feel effortless.
We spoke with several planners who understood our vision, but it wasn’t until we met Lauren that we finally felt like we could exhale. Her emails were concise, compassionate, and full of care, especially while we were navigating a health scare during planning.
On the wedding day itself, there was a nor’easter, and somehow the party still went off without a hitch. Lauren and Ryan were everywhere at once, managing the crowd in the middle of a storm and coordinating with all our vendors effortlessly, even with a timeline full of moving parts.
Lauren stretched our budget as far as it could go without sacrificing quality. Our wedding felt sophisticated, funky, unique, and, most importantly, fun. I would trust Lauren and Ryan with any event you want to feel elevated, elegant, and one of a kind.

Lauren at City & Terrace was an incredible wedding planner. We hired her for partial planning, and she went above and beyond our expectations. From creating vision boards to handling vendor communication and hiring our florist, she played a huge role in making our wedding as magical as it was.
Lauren helped shape our vision and brought it to life. Her experience and industry knowledge were invaluable—she knew exactly where we could cut costs, where to invest, and always offered thoughtful options and solutions throughout the process. She was communicative, organized, and transparent about costs and how it affects our budget.
On our wedding day, she and her husband ran everything seamlessly. My wife and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. On top of all that, they were truly kind and a joy to work with. We highly recommend City & Terrace! -

The best!!
Let me start by saying my wedding was a tall order! I wanted a wedding that was gothic, elegant, Victorian-inspired, dark, and moody. We were going for gothic without it being “scare grandma” gothic! And to make it a step harder, our wedding was in a very modern looking building in Manhattan. And to make it even one step harder, my husband and I are based in Ireland.
Lauren from City and Terrace completely understood my vision and designed the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen. We had so many friends and family approach us about how beautiful the decor was, and even multiple members of staff and various vendors saying they have never seen the venue look so amazing.
Lauren was so organised throughout the entire wedding planning process. She helped us look for the best vendors, she went to view different tablecloth landscapes and furniture when we couldn’t (again, we live abroad!) and kept me up to date every step of the way.
I have recommended Lauren multiple times to newly engaged friends, and will continue to recommend City and Terrace in the future! You truly cannot get a better wedding planner who listens to the couples’ wants and needs, understands, and most importantly keeps you calm and organised through the chaotic planning process! Her attention to detail is phenomenal. I highly recommend. -

Lauren is far and away the best planner we’ve ever met, and we don’t know what we would’ve done without her and the City & Terrace team. We feel so lucky that we found her and that she planned our wedding—it was truly the most incredible experience from start to finish.
From day one, Lauren’s expertise and calm, collected energy put us at ease. She has this amazing ability to make everything feel manageable, even when we felt totally overwhelmed at first. City & Terrace was truly the "special sauce" of our big day!! If I could recommend one vendor that was worth every penny and more, it would be this incredible team. I worked with the City & Terrace team to plan my engagement and surprise engagement party that immediately followed. I don’t know what I would have done without them! The day turned out to be exactly what my fiance and I had always dreamed of.
I told Lauren I wanted to propose in the Financial District and wanted a venue within walking distance, but thought I could just kind of figure it out on the fly. After having a quick call with Lauren, she introduced me to so many questions that I hadn’t considered!
Lauren took that information from those questions and contacted local venues to make sure it met both my vision and needs for the day. We did a site-walk and pointed out all of the logistics of how the day would work.
The day of the big question, Lauren was in communication with attendees of how the surprise was going to work and then with the venue to ensure everything was set up correctly.
The day went smoothly and seamlessly from the location of the proposal to the venue to celebrate with our friends and family!
With Lauren handling all of the logistics and details of how the day ran, I was able to be present in the moment to have one of the best days ever!
We are currently working with City & Terrace to plan our wedding welcome party and rehearsal dinner so we can continue to be in the moment.
