When we began our wedding planning journey, we were debating whether or not to hire a wedding planner. Despite some back and forth, we ultimately decided we probably should hire someone who knew what they were doing. We met with four other planners to make sure we found a good fit. Shannon stood out from the very beginning. She was professional and knowledgeable but above all she was the most down to earth and genuine.
Throughout the wedding planning process itself, she was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly responsive to texts, emails, and calls. She kept us organized with realistic checklists and timelines. She connected us to several vendors within our budget and advocated for our budgetary needs with said vendors without compromising the important elements of our wedding. Her expertise was essential to bringing our vision to life.
On the actual day of the wedding, we did not have to worry about a thing. Not. A. Thing. We truly enjoyed our day and let Shannon do her magic. Everything just went smoothly. She made sure we had food and drinks. She made sure any hiccups were solved. And she was absolutely great with our guests and vendors. Our only wedding regret is not including her in the fun that she made possible that day.

Amazing Planner
Shannon and her team were amazing to work with. Firstly our wedding was somewhat last-minute, and thankfully there was a cancellation that allowed us to work with Citrus City Events. The planning process was super well organized and Shannon brought so many great fresh ideas to our pre-existing vision, while simultaneously incorporating and up-leveling ideas we brought to the table. The vendor connections including everything from furniture, to bar service, DJs and more were perfect for our event and we would never have been able to find services anywhere near the level of quality she brought without her help. The food, (shoutout James Madison Catering) was especially amazing and had all of our guests raving. Communication was also outstanding, always answering all of our questions super quickly and providing the needed reminders, assurances and recommendations to keep the planning process on track. Fast forward to day-of management and Shannon and her team were beyond professional, and kept the day running smoothly. Our wedding was an amazing unforgettable event for us and our guests, thanks to Citrus City Events! -

My wedding day was perfect!
Shannon and her team helped us execute the wedding of our dreams. I was quite stressed when it came to the wedding planning process and didn't even know where to start half of the time. Every time I spoke with Shannon she made me feel at ease with her expertise and calm demeanor. There was always a feeling of--Shannon's got our backs. She hooked us up with the best vendors, supported us when issues arose, and was in constant communication with us. When we finally got to the wedding day, I was able to completely let go because I knew that the team had everything under control. And they exceeded my expectations. Everything went so smoothly. The decorations were beautifully placed, exactly as I had envisioned them. Shannon and her team made sure we were taken care of--handing us food and drinks when we were in the chaos of greeting guests. There was not one single hiccup in the day and the whole team felt like family by the end of the night. I'm so grateful they were a part of our special day. I'd recommend them to anyone is search of a wedding coordinator! -

Shannon was the best wedding coordinator and planner I could have asked for. She was on top of things the entire process and day of. She was patient with me because I would often fall behind on emails and super efficient. The day of, her sweet personality and planning all came together and made me a very calm bride. She was able to make last minute adjustments, organize everything the way I planned, listened to me, and gave us great ideas too. Pick Shannon as your coordinator. She is awesome! Also not to mention she did all this while being a little sick, shows her dedication to her profession, professionalism, and how you can always count on her planning. Thank you Shannon!!! -

My husband and I can not recommend Shannon enough to anyone that is in need of a wedding planner. if you want your dreams to come true, be stress free and have the wedding of your dreams, then shannon is your girl. Shannon is very professional, personable, caring and most of all genuine. i truly believe she cares about everyone's wedding she is involved in and does not treat you like a transaction. she truly loves what she does and this is definitely her calling. From the start shannon was so helpful to my husband and i. we had no idea what we were doing and she made it very simple for us, providing simple tasks at a time. we were overwhelmed and with her assistance it took all those feelings away. Shannon was always available via phone, text or email and had speedy responses. our wedding came out better than we ever expected and was an absolute dream. a couple weeks before my wedding many things changed and through the process shannon guided me relieving me of all the stress that came with the last minute changes. Shannon even went to the extent of fixing my seating chart for me to help us days before the wedding, she did not have to do this. she did this to be helpful. the day of was absolutely stunning. shannon also has a wide variety of anything you may need for your wedding to rent which was a huge perk when it came to decor, games and anything extra you may need. Shannon, we can not thank you enough for going above and beyond during the entire wedding planning process and our day of. you are a true rockstar and you poured your heart and soul into our wedding. We cannot say enough good things about Shannon and her team!! Our wedding was above and beyond what we had wanted/expected and that was truly due to Shannon and her patience and willingness to listen to what we were thinking - and then make it so much better! The day of our wedding went so smoothly and Shannon and Shelbie both took the time to make each of us feel special, even taking portraits of the groom the morning of as our photographers were at the bridal Airbnb! She directed the ceremony and, even with all of the different personalities amongst our family members (lol!), it went off without a hitch. As soon as we sat down for the reception, Shannon was there to check on us and to ensure we had everything we needed. Our wedding was a bit non-traditional and Shannon and Shelbie both rolled with everything so professionally and kindly and even packed everything up at the end of a very long night! We were absolutely blown away by Shannon and Shelbie from the start of the day to the finish. The venue is breathtaking and the team is so friendly and professional. Highly recommend any event here. They were so helpful and helped me with all the planning. Shannon was absolutely AMAZING. She made sure we were well taken care of, if I got anxious or stress she calmed me down and brought be peace, and was always so helpful. She was a lifesaver! Mario and Arleth were awesome too! Very responsive and professional. I would do any event here on the future. -

I met Shannon through the venue we picked. From the day of our tour to the day of our wedding, Shannon pointed us to the right direction. I didn’t realized till I was planning the wedding that there’s so many details that can be overlooked! Especially since we decided to choose our own vendors. Shannon made sure everything was well coordinated and basically left no stone unturned. The day of the wedding she made sure things went by smoothly even though there were a few surprises! Best coordinator ever!
From the beginning my husband and I were clueless as to what we wanted / what our vision was. We put all our faith into Shannon and she did not disappoint one bit. Shannon went above and WAY beyond to make our day perfect and better than we would ever expect. We never thought that our big day would be as beautiful and spectacular as it was. Shannon is the perfect example of someone who could have a million things going on, but still makes you feel TOP priority. Coming from someone who reached out 1,000 times for anything and everything we needed and being as picky as we are, we seriously can not recommend her enough. Our wedding was perfect because of Shannon. If it wasn’t for her our big day wouldn’t have been as lovely. We had different plans originally, a whole venue booked, etc. We met Shannon and just knew we had to cancel everything we planned and book with her. From her skills in decor to planning, on to vendors, etc. Shannon absolutely made our wedding the BEST day ever. If we could go back and change anything, we wouldn’t because of Shannon.. 20 out of 10 recommend. -

I couldn’t imagine doing this without Shannon. I asked her to help me plan my wedding event of 160+ guest in 2 months and she definitely delivered. Everything turned out so beautiful and my guests were so impressed by her. Throughout the process she thought of every detail and on my wedding day she thought of everything I didn’t. Who you work with always matters so don’t make the mistake to take this huge event alone or in the wrong hands.
