When we began our wedding planning journey, we were debating whether or not to hire a wedding planner. Despite some back and forth, we ultimately decided we probably should hire someone who knew what they were doing. We met with four other planners to make sure we found a good fit. Shannon stood out from the very beginning. She was professional and knowledgeable but above all she was the most down to earth and genuine.
Throughout the wedding planning process itself, she was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly responsive to texts, emails, and calls. She kept us organized with realistic checklists and timelines. She connected us to several vendors within our budget and advocated for our budgetary needs with said vendors without compromising the important elements of our wedding. Her expertise was essential to bringing our vision to life.
On the actual day of the wedding, we did not have to worry about a thing. Not. A. Thing. We truly enjoyed our day and let Shannon do her magic. Everything just went smoothly. She made sure we had food and drinks. She made sure any hiccups were solved. And she was absolutely great with our guests and vendors. Our only wedding regret is not including her in the fun that she made possible that day.

Shannon and her team were amazing to work with. Firstly our wedding was somewhat last-minute, and thankfully there was a cancellation that allowed us to work with Citrus City Events. The planning process was super well organized and Shannon brought so many great fresh ideas to our pre-existing vision, while simultaneously incorporating and up-leveling ideas we brought to the table. The vendor connections including everything from furniture, to bar service, DJs and more were perfect for our event and we would never have been able to find services anywhere near the level of quality she brought without her help. The food, (shoutout James Madison Catering) was especially amazing and had all of our guests raving. Communication was also outstanding, always answering all of our questions super quickly and providing the needed reminders, assurances and recommendations to keep the planning process on track. Fast forward to day-of management and Shannon and her team were beyond professional, and kept the day running smoothly. Our wedding was an amazing unforgettable event for us and our guests, thanks to Citrus City Events!

Shannon even went to the extent of fixing my seating chart for me to help us days before the wedding, she did not have to do this. she did this to be helpful. the day of was absolutely stunning. shannon also has a wide variety of anything you may need for your wedding to rent which was a huge perk when it came to decor, games and anything extra you may need. The venue is breathtaking and the team is so friendly and professional. Highly recommend any event here. They were so helpful and helped me with all the planning. Shannon was absolutely AMAZING. She made sure we were well taken care of, if I got anxious or stress she calmed me down and brought be peace, and was always so helpful. She was a lifesaver! Mario and Arleth were awesome too! Very responsive and professional. I would do any event here on the future.

From day one, I was so grateful to work with Citrus City Events. Although her services were primarily as the month-of and day-of coordinator, Shannon made sure I was on the right track throughout the entire wedding planning process. Once my venue was booked, she sent me a pre-wedding questionnaire to help me determine my vision for the wedding. In the last three months leading up to the wedding, Shannon provided worksheets and checklists to assist with the final details. It included things I wouldn’t have thought of on my own. Through emails, texts, and phone calls, she ensured I was prepared for the big day. The week of the wedding, we did have to make some adjustments due to last minute rain. Although I was stressed about it raining on my wedding day, Shannon jumped into action and secured a tent for the outdoor ceremony. As soon as I arrived on-site the day of, all of my worries went away. The setup was more beautiful than I had imagine, even with the rain. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without Shannon. She handled everything from creating a timeline, confirming my vendors, setting up the venue, and even holding my train as I posed for pictures in the rain. I was able to trust Shannon’s expertise and enjoy my wedding day without worrying about what would come next. I will forever be thankful for Shannon and Citrus City Events.
