Beautiful June Wedding

Well where to start. We had the privilege of working with Azurae Shuits for a year and a half who checked all the boxes as a wedding planner. She listened to all our questions, ideas, and concerns. She followed up to make sure every detail was taken care of. Azurae is very professional and was excelled at meeting all our expectations. Ciel Bleu Events is Incredible!

Azurae is first class. I reached out to Ciel Bleu as I was struggling to find time to balance work and wedding planning. From my first meeting with Azurae, I knew she saw my vision and would be a great help! Azurae was instrumental in helping us choose a perfect venue and corresponding vendors. She coordinated everything seamlessly for the year and a half we worked with her. Leading up to the final days before the wedding, she got everything taken care and eliminated a lot of stress off myself and my husband. Our wedding day was beyond our wildest dreams and went off without a hitch, largely due to Azurae! I would highly recommend hiring Ciel Bleu to bring your wedding visions to life!

Hidden Gem of SLO County (absolute perfection!)

Azurae Shultz!!!!!

First off Azurae from Ceil Blue Events, was the best surprise and gift we could have ever received.

She is an absolute Gem! We were referred to Azurae from a family friend.

Azurae has personal experience with so many vendors. She allowed us to work within our budget and allowed us to make choices along the way that consistently elevated our wedding without breaking the bank.

We booked our venue a year and half in advance and were able to keep everything on track ensuring we got the preferred vendors.

The most amazing thing about Azurae is her ability to go above and beyond. We had a very difficult family dynamic (sound familiar) and she not only normalized this but completely handled the situation the day of the wedding. In fact, we didn’t even suspect we had a problem throughout the day and night. Turns out we had a lot of drama and all of it was handled by her. It was a bit embarrassing to find out later, but she never ever made us feel bad, and most importantly she didn’t let if effect us during our big day. That to us was priceless.

We had the most amazing wedding and our family described it as a generational wedding. We are so proud of it and owe her the greatest thank you.

Azurae has our highest recommendation and you would be lucky to engage her services.

A Better Late Than Never Review

Wow..... VERY very very long overdue wedding review but I hope to write this review in the perspective of a once long-ago bride who can look back at her wedding and attest to the absolute necessity that is a wedding planner. Now I am in the position of an "experienced bride" helping her family and friends with this endeavor of their own. Hence, the long overdue review to make sure that this is known. Better late than never! Anyway, I am not sure what I would have done without Azurae. My husband and I got married in Sept 2019 and I don't think I was ever prepared for the amount of things needing to be done in anticipation of this event. Azurae was always there to make sure we had all of our ducks in a row and that we stayed on-track. She thought of everything. A very much needed push for this usually last-minute/bad planner bride. We recommend a wedding planner to all our friends and Azurae's name comes up whenever someone needs a recommendation for the SLO area.

Azurae was beyond amazing. We had our wedding on a private property and needed to bring in everything- bathrooms, electricity, all rentals, etc. I truly mean it when I say we couldn’t have done it without her. Azurae did an amazing job planning and coordinating our wedding from start to finish. She's always one step ahead of everyone and very experienced at what she does. Thank you Azurae!!!

We loved working with Azurae! Not only did she nail our wedding vision 100%, but she made the whole entire process so simple. She was always available when we had questions and kept everything so organized. We got the full planning package and I'm so glad we did.

Due to COVID, we had to push our wedding back a whole year, but she made rescheduling a wedding during a pandemic look like a piece of cake. She acted quickly, helped us secure all our vendors for the new date, helped brainstorm creative ideas to keep our guests safe, and remained so optimistic through it all.

Azurae has amazing connections all over the Central Coast (shout out to J Dusi for the Model M - it was a huge hit at the wedding!), and she even helped us find a last-minute vendor within weeks of the wedding. We ended up loving every single one of our vendors she put is in contact with; she really has a fantastic network of really good people.

Moving onto the weekend of... Azurae was SO helpful in ensuing our decor and signage was ready to go, everyone knew where to be, etc. I got so many comments from guests who noticed that the day went incredibly smoothly (and our morning was actually ahead of schedule!).

If you're thinking about booking a wedding planner, I highly recommend Azurae for an enjoyable and stress-free wedding planning experience.

Azurae is great to work with! She really knows everything about wedding coordination and how to make the day run smoothly. She was able to talk me out of some decisions that ultimately wouldn't have been the best for the day. I'm really glad I listened to her because her advice was excellent and really contributed to the day going so well. Our closest family members have told us our wedding was truly one of the most beautiful they have been to and a huge part of that was Azurae's work!

Azurae is awesome!

Azurae was extremely competent, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. She was the coordinator for our daughter's wedding last Sept at Oyster Ridge in Santa Margarita. As we are from the bay area, we needed someone who was connected to vendors in the SLO area, which Azurae is (very much so). She was very accommodating, with me, a hands-on mother-of-the-bride, and a great executor on my daughter's wishes for her special day.

We were always able to reach her in a timely manner, she was flexible for when we were able to come to the SLO area for planning, and always very professional. We knew we were in good hands - the day was perfect and we owe so much to Azurae's experience!

Azurae is the best!!

Ciel Bleu Event Design was so knowledgeable/fun/easy to work with for my wedding at Calamigos Ranch. I normally procrastinate meetings with vendors because it means I have to make design decisions I’m not always ready to make but I looked forward to all our conversations. She made the planning process enjoyable. Azurae went above and beyond for me, she had amazing ideas that I hadn’t even thought of and even though it was raining (😭) her quick thinking made the day play out even better than we had planned. She is a true professional and I will recommend her services to anyone looking for a planner/coordinator.

Fantastic Wedding Planner

Azurae was totally professional, had an outstanding array of vendors to choose from and was super positive and personable. Our wedding was remote and Azurae brought water and power and catering to make our 200ft dinner table and vineyard ceremony absolutely perfect. She transformed our barn into a music venue. It could not have been more perfect!!!!!

Our daughter got married last weekend and Azurae was our wedding planner. I never realized what an asset a wedding planner could be until last Saturday, the day of the wedding, not to mention all the details that lead up to the big day!! It was a destination wedding and we were not familiar with the Paso Robles area. Azurae's recommendations for all the vendors we used in our daughters wedding could not have been more perfect. After speaking with many of the vendors throughout the planning process, I learned just how highly respected Azurae is!! Each and every vendor I dealt with had nothing but wonderful things to say about her, and now I see why!! Her knowledge and expertise were a huge asset throughout the entire process. Her timely response to all messages whether through email, text or a phone conversation made the planning seamless. The day of the wedding, she was excellent at communicating with us about what we needed to do and when. The day couldn't have been more perfect, and I can honestly say without Azurae's help, we would have had a lot more to think about, besides just being able to enjoy the day!

Azurae, we really can't thank you enough for everything you did!! If we are ever in the Paso area planning another wedding, you will most definitely be our wedding planner!!

Incredibly helpful partial planning services

Our venue required more than just day of coordination, which was tough for us because we didn’t need, nor could afford, a full service planner. Luckily we found Azurae who offered more of a partial package for us. We were able to think through various aspects of the planning process with her via emails and phone calls, early on. We were also able to meet up with her a couple times for venue walk throughs, closer to our wedding month. She’s so well versed in the central coast wedding industry and has wonderful relationships with vendors. She fully handled our linen order, which was awesome. Towards the end, she also took over communication with vendors and built our timeline. There were so many things we wouldn't have thought of without her! She was so great that my mother in law hired her to plan our rehearsal dinner, which was on site at our venue. I would highly recommend Azurae for partial wedding planning, and bet that she’d also be of wonderful help for full service planning!

Azurae planned the wedding of our dreams, and we can’t recommend her highly enough. Azurae was recommended to us by Roxan at Villa San Juliette (our wedding venue) as the best wedding planner in all of SLO county, and she didn’t disappoint. From the beginning, Azurae was kind, full of great ideas, and had killer vendor recommendations! She got our vision immediately and struck a great balance between achieving our vision while keeping an eye on logistics. We worked long distance as we are out of the area and she went out of her way to help arrange meetings that were the most convenient. On our big day, I really didn’t have to worry about a thing. If something went wrong, I don’t know about it, and Azurae kept everyone on time. I’m so grateful to Azurae and cannot thank her enough for planning the best day of our lives!

Azurae was a pleasure to work with! I'm a control freak and a perfectionist, and having Azurae to rely on put me and my now-husband at ease so we could relax and enjoy our wedding day. Our wedding was in SLO, and we're from LA, so we weren't familiar with any vendors in the area. Before the big day, she was ready to jump in wherever we needed help, which saved us a ton of time and stress trying to figure things out for ourselves. I had several DIY items I wanted to incorporate (including a slightly tedious 500-piece firefly lighting idea), and being able to hand it all off to her made our wedding so much more enjoyable. She handled everything so we didn't have to worry about any tiny details and was especially great with handling some last-minute changes (adding heaters to our rental order the night before the wedding... us deciding to do a sort of "first touch" to talk to each other at the last minute before the ceremony, etc.) Our wedding was beautiful and we'll remember it fondly forever. My husband and I would both highly recommend working with Azurae to help coordinate and plan your wedding!

Azurae is amazingly gifted as a wedding planner. The bride and I could not have pulled off our fairy tale wedding without her. Azurae is the BEST! Not only does she have relationships with every vendor in the Paso Robles are which is what we needed help with, but she puts her clients as her highest priority and truly makes you feel as though you don't have to worry about a thing because not only does she take the time to build relationships with her clients but she is able to make the best judgement calls on their behalf. Azurae was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process of planning my daughter’s wedding! She is professional, proactive, patient, relaxed, and fun! We were planning a destination wedding, and had no contacts in the San Luis Obispo area. Initially, we thought we could find everything we needed by doing online research, but quickly realized websites don’t always paint an accurate picture. Several people we talked to recommended Azurae/Ciel Bleu without hesitation, so after a conference call, we hired her. That was a great decision, and Azurae’s network of trusted vendors was just right for my daughter’s wedding. We met in person about three times before the wedding (we were limited by the distance), and were thrilled that Azurae not only set up vendor appointments for us, but also accompanied us to the meetings. What was amazing to me was that she was able to take our ideas for the style of the wedding, offer suggestions for getting the most for our money, and pull everything together with well-thought-out finishing touches. Nearly all of our communications were done via email, which was perfect for us, and Azurae was equally accessible by phone. Everything fell into place according to her detailed timeline, so there was very little stress involved. If there were any last minute issues (and I doubt there were), I didn’t hear about them, which was such a relief! I never imagined I could be relaxed and enjoy every moment of my daughter’s big day, but that’s truly how it was!

Azurae coordinated my wedding in early September, and I can say from experience that she is truly amazing!! From our first conversation on the phone, to the day of my wedding, Azurae was always organized and professional. We started by laying out my budget and early vision for the wedding. Since I had already found my venue, she got to work quickly by giving me recommendations for caterers, florists, photographers, and other vendors that would fit into my budget constraints. Although I hired Azurae as my “day of” coordinator, she put in many, many hours with me upfront and throughout my 8 months of planning to make sure my wedding day was perfect (and it was!). I know that there are a lot of great planners and event designers out there, but Azurae went beyond that. To me, she was my trusted advisor. If something didn’t seem right to me, I could ask Azurae. If I had an idea that she had seen go awry at other events, she told me. If she loved something, she encouraged me to try it. If I was frustrated with something in the process, I could tell her (and she would fix it!). I promise you won’t go wrong with Azurae- she is the best!!

Azurae Shults.... what can one say!?! She is a singular powerhouse who is organized beyond the normal person! She is a loving and caring individual who truly cares about your event. She will work till the wee hours of the morning to get everything just right. No complaints, no excuses, and no deflecting blame on others. None. She takes 100% responsibility for all problems and then fixes them without any hesitation. Azurae is the consummate professional who is kind, robust, diligent, loving, and will advocate for the couple's wishes... no matter how crazy. Crazy advocacy... Let me tell you what she advocated for us: 1) for me to skydive into the wedding at a top name winery; 2) bringing wild animals from the zoo to roam the vineyard property; 3) female impersonators doing a vociferous show; 4) and a truly elegant wedding involving bucco vendors!! Complaints - well, no one is perfect. But, for the life of me, I cannot think of any complaints. Wait - not enough animals at the cocktail hour. The monkeys and kangaroos were no-show! Haha.

Where to begin! Let's start with if you are contemplating hiring Azurae for your wedding coordinator, stop contemplating and hire her immediately. She is a total rockstar who saved the day so many times for my intimate beach wedding.

My husband tried to talk me out of hiring a coordinator since my career is as an event planner for corporate events. Let me say...two entirely different things. Even if you plan a mean cocktail party, hire a coordinator! You will not regret it.

At one point during our planning, the venue we had contracted totally bailed on us after having a contract in place for 8 months. Azurae stepped in and found the most perfect location that was more in line with our vision, although some outside of the box planning was necessary. She took the reigns on projects I simply had no time for and reminded me of things I had totally forgot. She made sure all my plans came to life in vivid color.

Despite often times insane obstacles Azurae stayed entirely calm and collected and never approached me with a crisis. In the week before my wedding I was able to relax and let go knowing she had it all under control.

The result? Our wedding was flawless, literally nothing went wrong. It was magical and I have her to thank for seeing us through the whole process.

We were very picky when it came to choosing a wedding planner for our wedding. Not only are we difficult people to work with, but we had a difficult venue to work with! From the start Azurae was exceptional at making sure we were taken care of. She came to see our wedding venue and gave suggestions for what could work and what couldn't work. We greatly appreciated her honesty and so we decided to hire her on for full service wedding planning! It also helped that we found her fees to be very very very competitive with fees of other planners. Amazing! It was the best move we made during the wedding process. Azurae is well connected in the wedding vendor world and when we wanted more options she brought us more options. When we needed to cut budget, she helped us do so. She was always responsive, always checking into make sure things were going as planned and overall was a joy to work with. She developed great relationships with our family as well who were very involved in the wedding planning. It was great to see how versatile she was and how much all the vendors loved her. When it was time to start setting up for our wedding she was there by Thursday (though our wedding was Saturday) and made sure everything was going exactly how we wanted it. She did a great job communicating our wishes to our vendors and hearing us out if we had any changes last minute. Her time to shine was truly on our wedding day. She made sure EVERYTHING went perfectly. If there was an issue I sure didn't hear about it because she handled it. Even my family mentioned how well she took care of everything and made sure everything was spot on. Our wedding went without a hitch and I truly think it was because of Azurae. She also took the time to drive me after the wedding up to our house for me to change for the after party. Azurae is a godsend. I was planning my vow renewal and reception from across the country, and had a baby 2 months before the event and needed help with all of the details and communication that comes with planning a wedding event. I was referred to Azurae in the early stages of our engagement and planning. After a conversation with her, I knew I'd love to hire her. I'm a 'do-it-myselfer' so the cost of her service didn't make sense at that point. As time went on and the day drew near, it was obvious I was at my limit. There was no one else I'd consider; so, I called Azurae back to discuss day-off coordination. We met to get her up to speed and she took the reigns and ran with it. I immediately had complete confidence in her ability. She knows the industry and is obviously a very accomplished professional.

Azurae coordinated the set-up early morning, welcomed and directed the vendors all day, kept us on schedule, and was there to be sure everything was cleaned up at the end of the night. She orchestrated the entire event seamlessly. The day was beyond my dreams and I can't imagine it was possible without her.

Beyond her incredible capability and can-do attitude, Azurae has a quiet assertiveness about her that put me at ease and created calm with everything she addressed.

After having done one wedding without a Planner I knew I didn't want to try that again. Ciel Bleu was THE BEST INVESTMENT we made. I loved working with Azurae. This was my third Bat Mitzvah and wanted to take the pressure off myself to enjoy my event. Azurae did party planning, she sent me excel programs to help organize my guests and to put them into seating charts. She went with me to consultations and was in constant contact with all the vendors. She was also in charge of the day of the bat mitzvah and everything ran smoothly. She was always there with anything I needed and made sure the Temple was clean when we left. (she broke down tables and vacuumed) Azurae was calm and reassuring. Azurae was wonderful! She really helped me out day of and the week of the wedding. She was the best day of wedding coordinator I could ask for. When I ran into the problem with my caterer she helped me throughout the entire process - even after the wedding! I couldn't have asked for a better coordinator! Thanks for helping make our day so special!

I highly recommend Azurae to any bride! We hired her for our day-of coordination, but she definitely went above and beyond for us, especially since a wedding in Paso Robles was a destination wedding for us and our families! She gave us recommendations for vendors, helped us save some money by looking over all our contracts, and was just amazing the day of the wedding! She did everything I asked, and our day went so smoothly. If some things didn't go as planned that day, we never noticed! She's a fabulous communicator and was always checking in with me too, which I appreciated!! Definitely use her for all your wedding planning needs in Paso! It helps she's a local too :)

I can confidently recommend Azurae and Ciel Bleu Events for wedding planning and Day Of coordination. Azurae had great ideas for me during the planning process, and she worked with all our vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly for the big day. She was friendly and knowledgeable every time I had a question, and several of my other vendors told me how impressed they were with Azurae's helpful attitude and professionalism.

From the time I arrived at the venue until our final exit, Azurae had everything looking beautiful and running perfectly. She supervised all the setup, arranged our decor, and made sure I had everything I needed all evening. I didn't worry about anything other than getting married! If you're looking for a wedding coordinator, you can't do better than Azurae.

Azurae was absolutely fanastic to work with! We were planning a wedding in Paso in August and trying to do so from out of town and on a fairly short time frame. We could not have pulled off such a wonderful event without Azurae's planning, knowledge and enthusiastic participation in our event! We would highly recommend her to anyone planning an event in Paso Robles!

Azurae Shults did an awesome job as a Day of Wedding Coordinator for my wife and I, and ensured our day would be memorable. Prior to the wedding, she was helpful in providing information and recommendations for specific issues, and always responded in a timely manner. For the wedding rehearsal and the actual wedding day, Azurae was on top of everything, made sure the wedding went smoothly, and ensured my bride had all of her issues resolved. I would strongly recommend her services to anyone planning an event. My wife and I can't thank her enough!

Azurae(of Ciel Bleu Design) was extremely professional with me and the other venders involved in my wedding. She was willing to be actively involved to the point that I knew my event was going to go smoothly but allowed me to still have control over my own wedding. Azurae of Ciel Bleu Design was amazing! She helped me in every possible way to put my wedding together in a very short amount of time, three weeks to be exact! After talking with her she really understood exactly what I wanted and made it happen. Every detail was perfect and in place, the day ran smoothly, the guests & vendors were happy! Couldn’t have done it without her!

Azurae was amazing. I cannot imagine trying to plan a wedding without her. She is well connected with the San Luis Obispo wedding vendors, and made excellent recommendations. I hired a number of vendors without asking for multiple recommendations, and they were all fabulous. She managed all the day of logistics perfectly, so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. We felt like we were in very good hands, and were able to just enjoy the day.

I was extremely pleased with the level of service and attention we received from Azurae at my daughters' wedding. She was there from the beginning to the bitter end. Just seeing her was calming and reassuring, and knowing that if anything came up, she would handle it and it wouldn't fall on our shoulders.

A Job Well Done!

I was impressed with Azurae’s responsiveness and day of coordination of my wedding. I hired Azurae mainly as a “month of coordinator” since pior to hiring I had already booked majority of my vendors, but she helped me get the last few I needed and contacted all of them prior to the wedding so I didn’t have to, she definitely helped me more than just the month prior to the wedding! Azurae was great at working with the venue and making sure deadlines were met for contracts and insurance. There were a few hiccups that happened at the wedding and prior to the wedding that could have been addressed earlier than the week of the wedding, but we rolled with it and I don’t think anyone of our guests noticed! Other than those few hiccups (and trust me, they’re bound to happen at any wedding), I think Azurae did a splendid job and it was so nice to have her as a point person the day of the wedding so I didn’t have to stress and neither did my family. She handled everything gracefully and made sure everything ran smoothly with the 240 guests that were in attendance. Overall, I think Azurae did a great job! Thank you Azurae for everything!

We had a destination wedding and there is absolutely no possible way that it could have been done successfully, and with such ease and beautiful results, if we hadn't found the perfect wedding coordinator to help with the planning, coordination, and execution of our big day. From the first phone call interview, we knew that Azurae would listen to us and help us to identify OUR vision so that she could help to capture the romantic whimsy that we asked for. Azurae met with us during a busy holiday week to meet all of our vendors in person, and then took it from there. She knows everyone in the Central Valley of CA and made excellent recommendations. We couldn't be happier with the results of our fantastic day.

Good, Not What I Needed

I loved speaking to Azurae - she made me feel comfortable with every phone call! She attended all of our wedding meetings with vendors and was super helpful with all of them. When we had a large issue with our caterer being from out of SLO County, she put that fire out for us, that allowed us to keep the catering company we love so much! She kept us on track day of, checked in often, and helped us utilize some time when we were ahead of schedule. Azurae also helped pick out options that were more budget friendly without losing the look/vibe we were going for. I put together all my vendors before we hired her, and she tightened everything up and maintained communication after. We didn't have a gift table on the rental order - I'm the one that caught it. I wasn't told until the week of my wedding that we needed to hire a team to setup our ceremony chairs, as well as monitor the parking lot for overflow. She wanted to hire a team to setup everything for the wedding, and previously told me she would take care of only the napkin placement (but didn't). My family and few of our wedding party members setup the whole day before rehearsal, where she was not onsite. During the reception, we were told that she was outside on the phone (personally, I don't think we were affected by this negatively, but it might be an important detail for someone else). A guest's plus one drank way too much, and Azurae had me leave the dance floor to check on her - I should have never been asked, in my opinion. I did not receive any budget (other than what I guesstimated and provided to her) or any other documents of her putting things together (minus vendor contracts). At the end of the day, I needed her to relieve my stress (divorced parents putting their issues on me, wedding planning I could pass off), and a few times she was the root or worsened it. I love Azurae as a person, and she is perfect for a bride who does not have the slightest idea of where to start/go and who is also laid back. That is not me, I knew what needed to be done, and it could boil down to personalities and my expectations, as well.

I was so impressed with Azurae immediately after our first meeting. She really listened and understood what type of an event I wanted to create. Within two hours after our meeting she emailed me a proposal and I hired her that moment. And every single experience after that was 5 Star. Azurae really was a pleasure to work with and I felt confident throughout the entire process! We had an amazing event that clients and staff are still talking about and she captured the essence of the moment!
