Christopher Michael Catering was the best catering at any Northfork Venue. We got married July 30, 2022 at Brecknock Hall. Our guests raved about the food and loved the French-style service at our wedding. Matt Kar impressed us as a chef and owner who was personable and involved with us each step of the way as we planned our wedding. He was easy to contact, helpful and took the time to meet with us when selecting the menu. The food was outstanding and our guests enjoyed trying each entree as his team brought everyone seconds. They are still talking about it!
Cocktail hour was perfect as everyone loved how tasty it was along with our signature drinks. Dinner was seamless and delicious. The best part, was they surprised us with the tastiest pastries for dessert, which were the perfect touch. The entire catering team was excellent, took great care of us and we couldn't be happier with the way it turned out!! He was our top choice and was the best to work with! -

Matt Kar is the owner of the Jamesport Manor Inn/Dimon Estate and Christopher Michael Catering. He was originally catering our wedding when it was at JMI and we ended up sticking with Matt to cater our wedding at Duck Walk when we had to change venues. We really appreciated how empathetic and accommodating he was given our situation and venue change within 2 months of our wedding.
We are so glad we stuck with Christopher Michael Catering because the food was SO incredibly delicious, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food. Matt has his own staff and offers a “French style” menu where you choose several entrees and sides and the servers come around multiple times to offer seconds and thirds to everyone. They cook onsite and the food was fresh, hot and unlimited. Matt’s site coordinator, Christine was an absolute angel, and I appreciated her flexibility and willingness to take on the challenge of coordinating at a site she has never coordinated before and was unfamiliar with the site staff, layout, and flow of the day. We did not have a wedding planner, so she was my point contact for coordinating the whole day. Christine came through for us and our day went off without a hitch. Matt’s team truly stepped up to the plate, went above and beyond and knocked it out of the park. -

Christopher Michael Catering made my wedding day unforgettable. My guests could not stop raving about the food! The staff was so helpful and kind, Jaclyn worked so hard to make sure everything ran smoothly on our wedding day. Working with Matt and Christine was stress free and they were always quick to respond to my emails and any questions I had. Christopher Michael Catering took care of everything and made wedding planning a lot less hectic I could not recommend this wonderful company more ! -

From our first interaction Matt Kar was professional and caring. He answered any of our questions or concerns in a timely manner. The majority of tasks and requests we had were expertly handled by him and his staff. The catering manager, Christine, was extremely detail oriented and made sure we were comfortable and happy with everything at the wedding. She went above and beyond to ensure the day went smoothly with minimal input needed from us the day of. The onsite staff, especially Jaclyn and Trisha, were incredible, frequently checking in with myself and my husband to ensure we had anything we might need. For guests with allergies, all the staff were vigilant and would make sure there were items to offer them that they could enjoy. We used the French Style service, many of our guests are still raving about the variety and how delicious everything was. We used Christopher Michael for all of the rentals as well. They did a beautiful job with the entire event. -
Kathy Sent on 12/10/2017I know bridal party gets to choose the kinds of appetizers, but . . . oh my heavens . . . each and every appetizer we had the distinct pleasure of consuming was better than the next . . . and the next. As guests at an East End wedding, we not only enjoyed the appetizers . . . the wait staff was awesome!! Each and every server was welcoming and jovial, and briefly stop to chat about the East End or the food being served. Our favorite was the clam & corn fritter with jalapeno tartar sauce.
As we were guests at the wedding, we have no knowledge of the "value", but this site won't let you leave that blank. Please include Christopher Michael Catering in your wedding search. You would not be disappointed in the quality and quantity of flavorful food and/or service. -

User2244549 Sent on 07/27/2015My wife and I got married at Martha Clara Vineyards on July 11, 2015. Our dream wedding could not have been possible without Matt Kar and his team. Great food + great music = great wedding. And boy did Matt and his team deliver on the food! Jamesport Manor Inn has a new off premise catering company called "Two Forks Catering" sister company to Christopher Michael catering. We can't say enough good things about our whole experience dealing with Two Forks Catering. Matt is the consummate professional and it clearly has rubbed off on his team. His entire staff from Christine who helped run everything day of to the bartenders and servers, we could not have been happier with the staff. As for the food, we've had numerous people tell us "it was best cocktail hour ever." The hors d'oeuvre choices and quality of food was exceptional! The baby lamb chops, duck quesadillas and mini lobster rolls were all fan favorites. The raw bar was a huge hit! Clams, oysters on the half shell and shrimp, everything was so fresh. Our guests were eating oysters faster than the staff could shuck them I think. Dinner was great too! To show you how accommodating Matt is, when we met with him, my wife asked if we could have a cold corn side dish with dinner since Long Island corn would be in season. Without hesitation Matt said "not a problem at all." Matt made a delicious corn succotash side to accompany our main courses. The main dishes were great as well. We had Pan-Roasted Striped Bass and New York Strip Steak. We would also like to thank you and your whole staff at the Jamesport Manor Inn for making the rehearsal dinner perfect as well. The Gallery easily fit our 35 guests and is very elegant. Again, Matt was able to have a chowder soup made that my wife requested that was out of this world! The entrees and desserts were off the charts too! Matt will make your special day everything you dreamed it would be. Don't hesitate to use Two Forks Catering! -

Michelina Sent on 10/14/2014I cannot say enough great things about Christopher Michael Catering, and specifically Chef and Co-Owner, Matt Kar. Matt was incredibly helpful while planning the catering for my wedding - he was attentive and responsive. He gave honest suggestions and helped guide us on amount of food, specialty tables, and hors d'oeuvre options. He also helped coordinate rentals such as chairs, tables, and suggested a trusted nearby tent company. And he was always willing to meet with us in person to answer any and all the questions I had, and believe me, I had a lot!
The food at our wedding was great - it was fresh and simple and truly played to the surrounding North Fork farm-to-table feel. The servers and bartenders were all friendly and helpful and always made sure that my new husband and I had exactly what we wanted.
I am extremely happy that we decided to go with Christopher Michael Catering. I recommend them to anyone planning their wedding on the East End of Long Island.
