The perfect wedding day
Whitney Holmes from Christina Burton Events is amazing. We hired her as our day of coordinator for our wedding on October 8, 2022 and she made sure that everything was perfect on our special day. I met with Whitney a few times in the months leading up to the wedding so she knew every little detail about the day. She also sent me an online planning tool where I could update things about the wedding for her there too which made me feel like we were always in touch. She created the most detailed timeline for our wedding day and made sure every single vendor had it. On the day of the wedding, Whitney took care of literally everything. I have no idea when vendors showed up, when or how they got set up, or anything because Whitney had it completely under control. That meant I was able to be entirely stress free and enjoy my day with my girls while getting ready! Whitney rangled in my wedding party when it was time for pictures, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception portion of the day and we never got off schedule - which I super appreciate because it meant my husband and I got to enjoy every single moment of our wedding without being rushed. Our wedding was a dream and turned out beautifully, all thanks to Whitney from CBE. If you’re thinking about hiring her, do it now before she books up!! You simply cannot have your wedding without her. We love you so much Whitney!! Thank you!! -

CBE was truly the constant, calming presence throughout my entire wedding planning process. From the attention to detail, to the day of last minute asks, Christy and Kaitlin did everything to make my husband, our families, our vendors, and myself heard and taken care of. No ask was too big or impossible and we were able to fully enjoy ourselves knowing we had the CBE team in our corner. I had so many compliments on the design of our reception. Christy took the example photos I showed her and made them her own and it could not have turned out more beautiful. Everything was so well organized that I never felt stressed or left a planning call with any questions. If you're looking for a coordinator who will be there from start to finish, go above and beyond, and provide expert advice to have the best day, the CBE team is every bit of that and then some. -

I can't believe I ever thought I didn't need a wedding planner!
Whitney came to our rescue and helped pull together a fairytale day that truly would not have been so successful if it weren't for everything that CBE does for their clients. From the online portal keeping everything organized and the consultations and communication keeping our heads on straight - to the day of coordination making the big day run smoothly, they quite literally think of and handle everything. We had a lot going on with a big wedding party, big families, and a little bit of a weekend destination wedding in Brown County, and nonetheless Whitney and her assistant kept everyone and everything in line.
We not only got the best advice and service but also some top notch people giving it to us, and we will cherish the memories of the event with them next to us forever with so much gratitude in our hearts! I know their team can handle anything thrown their way and will recommend them to everyone I know getting married. -

Hire Christy Now!
Hiring Christy was the best decision I made in the entire wedding planning process. As an out-of-town bride planning a wedding in Louisville, Christy made the process so easy and entirely stress free. During the few trips my husband, family, and I were able to make to Louisville she was prepared; efficient with our time; and honest in her feedback to help create our vision. Her design eye is amazing - she transformed my venue, which had some unfortunate permanent lighting, to a romantic and gorgeous room for our reception using chandeliers and drapery. She was kind and direct when working with us to create the wedding design and used her years of experience to suggest ideas I would have never thought possible. On the actual day of the wedding, she was calm, collected, and prepared - with rain on the day she was already prepared to run the rain plan, drove my bridal party to the venue so our makeup and hair wouldn't be ruined, and handled all the other vendors without any disruption to me, my husband, or our families. If there were any issues that day, I will never know - she was flawless in her execution of the wedding and managing issues if they arose. My family has hired her again for my sister's wedding because of how incredibly amazing she was at my wedding. -

I couldn’t have asked for a better day of coordinator! Christy was amazing and made sure that the day went smoothly. I literally had nothing to worry about! I love the dashboard you get along with booking her, it really helps to keep everything in one place and her timeline dashboard was great to give out to my wedding party so that they knew exactly what to expect on the wedding day. -

Hiring Whitney with CBE was money well spent. She kept me organized and moving forward in planning. On the day of my wedding, when we had to shift to our back up location because of rain, Whitney did the heavy lifting and got the musicians and vendors moved. She ensured the set up was beautiful. I focused on getting ready and getting married. I am very grateful for her help! -

Beyond our expectations!
Christy was the wedding coordinator for our daughters wedding. She did day of planning and design. We had to change our vision several times due to Covid and landed on a 30 person event in tents in our backyard.
Literally our breath was taken away when we saw the tents for the first time......WAY beyond our expectations. She is prompt in her responses and true to the budget.
The DJ had to cancel 48 hours prior to the wedding and before we could get overly concerned she had it handled with a replacement that ending up being a highlight of the evening!
I was able to enjoy the day/night as I had complete confidence that Christy was handling all deliveries, timelines, and issues that came up......I still don't know what they were!
She has a calm demeanor and answers questions honestly and with confidence. She does not just tell you what you want to hear but backs up her thoughts with knowledge, and experience. She brought vendors to the table that also had great products and service. We never would have found them without Christy.

I couldn't recommend Christy and her team any more! From the very beginning, Christy took time and put in a lot of effort to understand what our vision was for our wedding. She took all of the small details that were important to us and helped us fill in the rest to create the perfect day. She anticipated our every need and was so responsive throughout the entire process. Even with all of the many changes during COVID (we changed our plans 3 times), she never hesitated and was always adapting to make sure the day still exceeded our expectations. Even when our DJ cancelled 48 hours prior due to a COVID exposure, before I had a chance to freak out she was calling me with new (if not better!) options. Christy and her team made our day and the process absolutely seamless and I can't recommend them more. -

We had a resort location picked out, nervous about the logistics and planning - it was all a bit overwhelming at first. Christy was there. She was there to lead the charge, handle the vendors, ensure that our questions and concerns were met with great answers and a vision to be executed on the day of the wedding. Wow! Christy absolutely made our dreams come true on our wedding day by creating a day so special that we will forever cherish. At the beginning of our engagement , we were overwhelmed by the thought of planning our wedding. We gave Christy a brief description with what we had in mind and it was like she took the picture from our brains, enhanced it x10 and executed it to a T! Her design of it all was so beautiful that I started to cry when I saw what she had created for the reception site! I can’t put into words how talented Christy is and how she can envision things that others simply can not. If you are looking for your wedding day to be the smoothest day possible, I cannot recommend Christy and her team enough. At the beginning of the wedding process, you think you can do it all, but it takes way more than expected to make your day the way you’ve always dreamed of. Our wedding was literally everything we could’ve ever imagined and more because of Christy and her team. We were in awe of how professional, prompt, calm, and prepared her team was for (literally) everything on our wedding day. I found myself able to actually enjoy our entire day because I knew we were in such good hands.
Not only did Christy coordinate our day, but she also was our florist. It was nice to have that seamless connection within our design and not to mention not having to worry about an additional vendor. She was so flexible with my random inspirations and helped my vision come to life in all things floral. If you're worried about being a ball of stress on your wedding day, don't be. Seriously consider adding Christina Burton Events to your budget. You won't be disappointed. -

Christy was the best thing that has ever happened to my wedding. I had a horrible experience with another planner so I was a little weary but Christy came in and saved the day. She kept me calm during all the insanity of a normal wedding planning process and then even calmer when the pandemic aspect of planning hit, which was hard to do. Her attention to detail is unparalleled, even to the point of taking my dog home from the ceremony she handled flawlessly. Whitney from her team was amazing too. I really don't have enough positive words to say about working with her, I am OCD as well and she even rivaled me. She took over and let me enjoy being engaged. Which is what every bride truly wants. -

As an event planner myself, I knew I needed a wedding planner to help with all the details and, not being design-minded, that I also needed someone to help with general design and direction. Christy was the perfect choice to fill both of these roles. Not only did she create one design plan and planning timelines that was stunning and perfect- she ended up doing two as we had to readjust our plans due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Christy was helpful, kind and patient and she was our rock as we worked through all the adjustments. Christy helped us create the perfect alternate plan, the florals were more beautiful than I could have ever imagined, and her calm reassuring presence on the day of the wedding topped it all off and led to a perfect day that we will remember forever. -

When I reflect on the level of service Christy provided, it was more than just bringing my Pinterest boards to life in a beautiful design, coordinating the right vendors, handling communication to save the sanctity of my inbox during a busy year, and taking the guesswork out of timing and a process I was unfamiliar with – at the end of the day she was a confidant I could tell my sincerest wishes to and who made them come true. For that, Christy, I thank you, because my wedding was a perfect fairy tale dream. When I walked into the reception space, it looked exactly the way I imagined it would, but better, and as I wandered around the venue throughout the event, the smallest details started emerging that I didn’t know would be there and I fell in love more and more. She made the process so seamless from start to finish. Hiring Christy is like hiring a new best friend who will be your advocate at all times, reassure you when you aren’t even sure you know what you want or what is going on, and make all the logistics of the day happen without your knowledge so you can sit back and enjoy the special moments of the most significant day of your life. 10/10 recommend. -

Christy was hands down one of my best decisions when planning my wedding - we hired her for full service planning and floral design. We chose her for her attention to detail and design during the planning process, in addition to the standard day of responsibilities, and we weren't disappointed.
As a very A-type bride, I already had several ideas of what I wanted. Christy listened well to my wish list and brought it to life with her design board and Rolodex of vendors. She let me lead in areas of planning where I wanted to, and seamlessly took the reigns and handled areas where I did not. That's important when selecting your full-service planner, since some try to impose their style guidelines - Christy is very collaborative and down to earth and did not. Her work style makes you feel like you're planning a wedding over wine with a close friend.
Christy planned our Louisville wedding from Indianapolis, and it's also worth mentioning we felt we had access to her whenever we needed, despite the distance. Christy didn't put a limit on the amount of times she would drive to meet us in person, and we appreciated that. Her professional wedding planning websites and resources were also helpful in facilitating communication.
On the day of, Christy's team made sure that everything ran smoothly - running out to grab fans when the house got hot and extra beer when it ran out. They were the first to arrive and the last to leave the venue, and handled vendor relations with great professionalism.
Her floral design team did outstanding work on my flowers, and did so at an excellent price.
Which brings me to my last point - budget. We started out with a $40,000 budget and came in right around $41,000. My family appreciated Christy's ability to prioritize costs and keep the budget under control.
Don't skimp on planning - hiring Christy was a great choice! -

Alexandra Sent on 06/07/2018We hired Christy as a day of coordinator and she was absolutely amazing! Everything looked beautiful, the whole day went very smoothly, and I knew I didn’t have to worry about anything all day.
I had a problem with my seating chart 3 days before the wedding and as soon as I emailed her and asked for help she responded with a great suggestion and everything worked perfectly.
We seriously wouldn’t have been able to have a successful wedding without her.
