Christel is amazing, and if I had to do it all over again she’d be the one thing about our wedding I would absolutely not change. She is so personable, caring, and FUN. She thinks of everything before you even have time to, and makes the process so easy. The ceremony aspect was hands down the easiest part of our wedding planning because of Christel. The most amazing person!

We had such a great experience from start to finish. From the brief meetings just to get to know us and feel out our personalities to meeting us in the bridal room to run us through to the moment we say “I do”, Christel was wonderful! A perfect day
The moment we talked with Christel we knew she was the one. Each and every meeting we had confirmed our decision. On that day, I was more than nervous and Christel stood by my side assuring me, mostly calming me down as I wanted so much to take a peek at my bride before it was time. When she said, "you can look now", time just stood still as I saw my bride, Annabelle, walking down that aisle at Chapel Dulcinea. That day was just a few days after the crazy ice storm in February but on that day, the weather was just beautiful. Christel & Austin were more than perfect for Annabelle and I on that special day.

Christel was friendly, professional and played a huge part in making our wedding memorable. We met Christel before meeting with other potential officiants, but we knew after that meeting that we wanted her to do the job. Christel also worked through our vows with us and had us perform some special pre-wedding activities that really helped to provide even more personal detail during our ceremony. Due to COVID, our wedding had to be postponed and thankfully Christel was able to accommodate our new date and this reduced a huge amount of stress for us. She also coordinated our entire rehearsal which was unexpected but absolutely appreciated. We will certainly recommend Christel to our friends in the future.

We are so glad our venue recommended Christel. We had met a few officiants, and none of them were the right fit for what we were looking for. (Some didn’t even do same-sex weddings, can you believe that?!) As soon as we got on the phone with Christel, we knew we had found who we were looking for. She was warm, funny, personable, and made it so easy to trust her with our ceremony. By providing us with a number of options for how we might organize the ceremony, she gave us a ton of help creating the wedding we envisioned. She had us write letters to her about why we wanted to get married, which made her ceremony feel personal to us, and it also helped us with our own vow-writing process. Christel was the perfect person to marry us, she made us feel so comfortable and just like we were old friends! She had a laid back, fun, but super professional style which was exactly what we were looking for. She was really flexible with our ceremony and gave us outlines of different passages/styles we could use, and then made everything super personalized to us and our style, even including a line from Hamilton which was so special!! On the day of our elopement/mini ceremony she was helpful with pulling together small details and even helped corral our dog which was amazing! Our parents loved her and raved about her the rest of the weekend. We would definitely recommend Christel and couldn’t say enough good things about her. We’d get married again in a minute!

What can I say, no words will do justice describing Christel, but I will try. Christel made our wedding the happiest day of our lives, and trust me it was no easy task. Our wedding day was March 21st right as COVID hit the hardest. We couldn’t have the wedding we wanted, but Christel came through like a champ! I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I met Christel at my son’s wedding and really got to know her at my daughters wedding, that’s when I knew that she was going to do our wedding. JULY 31 2021 WEDDING CELEBRATION REVIEW
Christel is an absolute GEM! We spoke with a number of officiants and decided on Christel because of her fun, personable nature as well as the variety of customizable ceremonies she offered. We had to change our plans a number of times due to the pandemic and Christel always went with the flow -- we ended up having a minimony on our original date in June 2020 with immediate family present, and we were able to do that because Christel was down to still marry us despite everything going on in the world. We are forever grateful for that. She then went the extra mile and showed up for us by also leading a vow renewal a little over a year later for our originally-planned wedding celebration that we finally got to have with the rest of our family and friends. Both ceremonies were a beautiful balance of fun, serious, authentic and unique -- even drew some laughs and cheers from attendees during them! When you work with Christel, you feel like you’re hanging out with an old friend. We are thankful for her time and talents in making both of these days so special for us!
JUNE 6 2020 MINIMONY REVIEW
We loved having Christel as our officiant! We spoke with a number of officiants and Christel stood out to us with her bright personality and her options to customize and personalize our ceremony. She gave us a number of ceremony structures to choose from, and we were able to mix and match what resonated most with us as well as add in a wine boxing ceremony and share our own personal vows. She also asked that we write a letter to her on why we want to marry our partner, and she used some of the quotes from our letters in our ceremony to personalize our ceremony even further!
She was great about checking in to see if we needed anything in the process and to reminding us of any deadlines. As COVID-19 became more serious in the states and restrictions were placed on gatherings, we started re-evaluating our wedding plans as our original date was 6/6/2020. Ultimately, we decided to still get married on our date with only immediate family present and reschedule our big celebration to a later, safer date for the rest of our family and friends to join us. It was a tough decision that not only affected us but also our vendors. Christel was so accommodating and encouraging through our replanning and rescheduling. She didn’t hesitate a second when we asked if she would still marry us on our original day and also agreed to officiate what will now be a vow renewal at our rescheduled wedding celebration.
On wedding day, Christel made sure to give us a rundown of ceremony flow since we didn’t do a rehearsal and helped get family organized beforehand. She cracked jokes and made us feel at ease as we got ready to walk down the aisle. She perfectly balanced the tone during the ceremony, making for moments of laughter as well as moments of happy tears. She took care of mailing our marriage license off for us which was so helpful. We loved working with Christel and are looking forward to spending another day with her whenever we do our ceremony again for the rest of our friends and family!

Christel fit in with our friends & family seamlessly, and it felt like we were having an old friend marry us! The ceremony was beautifully done, & all of our guests raved about her and the ceremony script. You must ask her to officiate your wedding.
I couldn’t imagine having anyone else officiate our wedding. Even though the amount of time we spent with Christel was relatively short, she is someone my wife and I consider a part of our new family. She melds, very well, not only the relationship you are trying to start, but also how you view the day of. Christel is responsive and adaptive to what you want from your wedding day. If you’ve read my review thus far I’m assuming you’ve reached out already.

Customized service with wow moments
There is no question on who to use for an officiant here in Austin and the surrounding area. I work in the wedding industry and see a lot of officiants, and when I got engaged, I didn’t contact anyone except her. Her personality is magnetic and you feel so comfortable around her instantly. I knew I would be nervous in those moments and her up there with me would make the world of difference. After booking, she sends you about 9 different vow options to choose from and you can customize and pick parts from different ones. It helped me as I had no clue what I wanted her to say. I customized some parts and asked her if she could include my fiance’s son in some of it, saying we are becoming a family, not just husband and wife. On the day of the wedding, we both said “I do” and then she asked his son if he would take me as his bonus mom and he said “I do.” That was not planned out and melted my heart and I couldn’t stop smiling! She is so flexible and accommodating as well. I asked her if Mark could announce us for the first time as husband and wife. She was so good with him and he felt confident coming up there and speaking from the stage where she was at. And this is silly but super important, when she is saying you can kiss the bride, she moves out of the way so she is not in all of your photos! Bonus information on her company- her husband has a photography business and they do specialize in elopement style weddings as well so it is great if you want to get a photographer and officiant in one stop!

Christel is the bomb.com!
Choosing the right wedding officiant was very important to us. We wanted someone that we enjoyed speaking with and felt a strong connection with. Christel went above and beyond to achieve a meaningful connection with us, and we had a blast along the way! There are a couple of extra steps that Christel includes in her officiant package which helps make your special day especially special. Our wedding guests commented that it was the best ceremony they had ever heard. Christel even had one more surprise up her sleeve- I couldn't afford a videographer for the wedding and forgot to have someone video the ceremony. I thought the words we exchanged were gone forever.... until a beautifully printed manuscript arrived, funny jokes and stories included! If you have the chance, book Christel. She will be a valued part of your wedding team and you'll wish she was your best friend.

Christel is amazing. You don't have to look further.
We shopped around for several wedding officiants and decided to meet up with Christel. One of the best decisions about our wedding. She already new many of the vendors participating in our wedding which made coordinating everything super easy. She was easy to contact, very very very kind and helped us develop a wedding ceremony suited to us. She even included a few inside jokes only a select few people would get, but the rest of the audience would find endearing. She was fantastic throughout the entire planning and ceremony. Don't look further! This is the lady you want at your wedding.
FYI, we had a non-religious wedding. She has several ceremony packages to choose from. You can pick from a variety of pre-made ceremonies, combine certain aspects of between them, or construct your own. We chose own of hers but included some outside poems and other tidbits.

Professional and excellent to work with.
Christel was very professional, always made sure the ceremony would go according to plan from the time of our practice rehearsal until the very end with our ceremony. She was fun to work with and cared about every aspect of the process. We of course were naturally nervous as anyone would on their wedding day. She helped calm our nerves and was super helpful with all of our questions. We truly believe Christel is a wonderful person to work with and we recommend her for your ceremony.

Lighthearted and Sincere
We wanted a short and sweet ceremony and Christel nailed it! Not only was the ceremony a little humorous, but she also really tugged on our heart strings! We are kind of shy people and were a little worried about being in front of people, even if they are friends and family, but Christel definitely made us feel comfortable and we cant thank her enough for that. I would recommend Christel a thousand times over!

First of all, the ceremony options were amazing and Christel allowed us to customize and mix and match. We added something to the ceremony last minute and she worked it in beautifully! She had us write letters telling her why we loved each other and worked it into the ceremony. Many of the guests even thought we have known her for a long time! PEREFECT for our day!
We chose Christal based off her bio and it was right on! After meeting her for the first time, we left knowing she was the one for us! Her fun loving and humorous wit was perfect for ours! She has a love for love and it shows. She wasn't just our officiant on our wedding day, she was our friend. She was there early helped with the girls, the guys and hung out and laughed with us in the bridal suite. She personalized our ceremony and made it so special, just like her. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Christel!! From the moment we met her we instantly connected! She got us and not only was so pleasant and friendly and easy to communicate with, she gave us the idea to get my new husband's 21 and 27 year old daughters to be flower girls and walk him down the aisle and convinced me that it was a great idea to have my dad walk me down the aisle as well 😍 even though this was a second wedding for both of us these turned out to add special memories for us. We had a last minute change in plans due to the weather and Christel was there for us without any hitch at all! She gave us the beautiful personal ceremony we were looking for and shared our day and a few tears with us 😘 I would highly recommend Christel and will forever remember our day and the special part she played in it!

Christel helped us tell our story with ease and grace!
Christel was amazing! We wanted a non traditional, non religious wedding that truly reflected the love that we have for one another and she accomplished that with ease. She also added a touch of comedy and Harry Potter references when they were called for. We got nothing but good feedback from guests and she even matched the colors for pictures! She wasn't afraid to change our ceremony last minute in order to make it the best it could be and for that we will be forever grateful! Truly very happy that we chose Christel to tell our story!

Absolutely amazing!
Christel was phenomenal and apsolutley perfect for our little ceremony. She is such an accepting, welcoming and genuine person who was instantly easy to be comfortable around and get along with. She handled every aspect of the day so all we had to worry about and focus on was marrying each other, which is the most important part! Her lovely humor, energetic and uplifting vibes were a beautiful addition to the day. She made it romantic, fun and personal at the same time. Instant best friends
We made a last minute decision to get married over Christmas break in Wimberley, TX and knew we needed to find a celebrant very quickly. After perusing the listings in the Austin area, we came across Christel's bio. It took all of 5 seconds to know we needed to meet her.
We set up a time only a week later to meet at a coffee shop and it was almost like instant best friends. She was extremely well planned, and very personable. Christel is a genuine friend and celebrant we never knew we needed. On our wedding day she was a calm influence while I was getting ready and made us feel very much at ease throughout the ceremony with her good humor and friendly approach.
We cannot recommend Christel highly enough as a celebrant.
We will certainly remember her personal touch to our wedding!

We passed on dirt cheap family friends and decided to pay for a professional officiant...That's exactly what Christel delivered!
My wife and I had a 3-month engagement. Everything was so rushed that--with very little prior correspondence--we didn't even meet Christel until a day before our wedding. No rehearsal dinner or anything. Just a quick meeting at JuiceLand with us three.
Somehow, our ceremony still came together beautifully, and Christel was a big reason for that. She was a pleasure to work with due to her friendly, funny, and easy-going personality, her professionalism, and her obvious expertise regarding all things wedding-related (My wife and I realized we knew next to nothing about how those things work!). If you're getting married, look no further, Christel is an amazing human! She will 100% make your day incredible. Our ceremony was perfect, she really understood who we are and what we were going for, it was RIVETING :)
She has such positive and energetic energy- she kept our guests entertained and awake through the ceremony (lots of laughing points!) and she even make me tear up (and I'm not a crier!)

Out of all the wedding vendors to find, I think picking the right wedding officiant is the hardest. You want someone who listens, who ‘gets’ you and your partner, and who you feel you can trust with your most intimate feelings. Christel was all of those things to us, and we knew quite immediately she would be an excellent fit! Christel is the perfect blend of professional and humorous. In our meetings, and even at our rehearsal, she brought a genuine lightheartedness to the room that made everyone feel comfortable. She was always prompt in answering our emails and flexible in creating a custom ceremony that would best represent us as a couple. Our ceremony was intimate and memorable. I will always be thankful for this one small thing she said at the beginning of our ceremony- “Let’s all take a deep breath”. Oh man, if we ever needed to take a deep breath it was that moment in time! Because of this small pause I remember my ceremony quite vividly, as it gave my heart and mind an instant to catch up with such an important moment. While the rest of that day was a blur, my wedding ceremony was not. So, thank you Christel for your creativity, your humor, your deep breath advising, and your awesome abilities at capturing a crowd! We couldn’t have picked a better person to officiate our ceremony and felt that you represented our love exquisitely.

She answered all my questions a million times over. Goes above & beyond to make sure your day is extra special. I booked her photography services to go with my wedding. I to this day cannot thank her enough for capturing every single important moment of that day. My grandparents couldn’t travel, SHE TRAVELED TO THEM so that we had our pictures. Where do I begin... Christel was amazing. Although Christel officiated our wedding, her husband Austin stayed to make sure everything went smoothly behind the scenes, because our day of coordinator dropped out last minute. I cannot express my thanks to these two individuals. Had we known prior that they had a wedding planning business of their own, along with a photo booth business we would’ve done one big package deal with them.
They’re the greatest, and by not choosing them in any vendor category you’d be doing yourself a huge disservice.
Austin queued in our ring bearer, flower girl, and came next door to get my bridesmaids and myself from my bridal suite next door so that we wouldn’t melt in the sun waiting. He kept us on good timing and also eased my nerves. Christel created a smooth and calm atmosphere while reciting our reading and vows. She spoke clearly and did not rush. I informed her that we did not want everyone with their phones out recording and taking pictures during the ceremony and she made that announcement for us as well. Once the ceremony was over, Christel and Austin stayed behind to make sure everything was going smoothly. They even bustled my wedding dress!!! Afterwards they made sure my husband and I had food and they went on their way.
They definitely went above and beyond for us. There is no perfect amount of words to say thank you, but.. THANK YOU! We truly appreciate you both.

Christel was amazing! She was excited to hear our story and share it with our loved ones. She is fun and quirky, but also very professional. Our ceremony was perfect and we loved every second of it! We highly recommend Reverend Christel!!

Christel was so awesome! She was hanging out with us like one of the girls prior to the wedding. The week of the wedding she had my husband and I wrote her letters on why we wanted to marry each other. She took bits and pieces out and made the ceremony just for us. I also loved that she had so many different options of services to choose from and we were able to pick pieces from each one. We wanted a short and sweet ceremony and we got just that! She even somehow got me to cry in that short time! I would definitely recommend her! I would only add that maybe a few weeks prior to the wedding she would send out a “don’t forget your marriage license” reminder because that would have been useful to us! I planned the whole wedding by myself and even though I KNEW we needed it, I kept forgetting and we got ours just in the nick of time! Just a suggestion! Such a funny woman and professional at the same time! We paid for officiant and a 15 min rehearsal.

Christel was amazing in every way possible! She was accommodating and professional, while also being hilarious and entertaining. She made the experience so intimate and personal. She also took the time to give us a copy of our vows so that we could always remember that part of our special day.
If you want an officiant who is the total package, go with Reverend Christel. You absolutely will not regret it!

You may not know it yet, but you want Christel to be your officiant! Her attention to detail and professionalism made our wedding, which could have been extremely stressful, easy and enjoyable. Despite being a pro, she's also hilarious and helped to keep things light and calm throughout the entire process. She even drove an hour to a backyard party to meet our wedding party and perform a rehearsal on extremely short notice. The ceremony went off without a hitch due to her expertise. I would recommend her services to my closest friends or family without hesitation. Thanks so much for making our day so special, Christel!

Christel made our ceremony exactly how we wanted it! She was helpful when it came to any questions about what was needed from us. We loved how she made our ceremony more personal based on how we are as a couple rather than just reading something that is generic for everyone. She was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely recommend her services especially if you're a non-traditional couple like we are!

Rev Christel was definitely one of a kind. We found her website and she sounded like she had a great personality and once we met her, we knew she was the best person to marry us. She personalized the ceremony and that really meant a lot to both of us. She was just great. We'd recommend her to all couples getting married!

Christel did an outstanding job for our ceremony! We were able to book her last minute, but that didn't change her great degree of professionalism. She was kind , and allowed my husband and I to explore the reasons why we were going to marry, and perfectly included them in our ceremony and vows. Book Christel, you will not be disappointed!!

Christel was amazing. We had a small ceremony on our pool deck. I had no idea what I was doing and she walked me through every step. I thought it would be no big deal when the day came but I ended up getting nervous. She had all the right things to say to calm me down. She is a true professional and I highly recommend her!

I am so happy that we had Christel to conduct our wedding ceremony! She was absolutely wonderful. I was really nervous before the ceremony and Christel helped me to significantly relax. Christel officiated our small wedding at Chapel Dulcinea and she was fantastic! She really exceeded my expectations for an officiant, organizing people before the ceremony, instructing the guests and making everyone feel comfortable and excited! She had a great presence during the ceremony and is so genuine and kind that i felt like we were in good hands the whole time, which is a huge relief on a big day! Thank you Christel!

We absolutely LOVED having Christel at our wedding! She helped us come up with the most beautiful ceremony and made sure we were set up perfectly for the photographer. Christel did an amazing job at taking personal letters from each of us and creating the most gorgeous speech out of them. I was brought to tears!

Christel is the BEST she is so sweet, caring ,and down to earth. I will recommend her to anyone getting married. Such a lovely lady full of character. Christel made the whole experience great from our first meeting to the wedding. Such a down to earth lady with a great sense of humour! I found Christel and her husband Austin (who took our photos) through Everlasting Elopements. My only regret is we didn't book directly through them! She not only officiated and was very nice and helpful but helped with photography ideas and setup. They made our elopement our day, and helped us make it truly special. When we booked so much of the everlasting elopements page made it sound like there were strict rules and we weren't going to be able to do what we wanted but we were soooooo happy and surprised when we showed up and this wonderful pair went above and beyond to make our day memorable. Reverend Christel was absolutely fabulous. While I wasn't late for my ceremony, I did get to the venue later than my plan and I was feeling a bit stressed and hurried. Christel did a great job of stepping in and explaining how things were going to proceed. This helped calm me down a great deal. She performed a beautiful ceremony that my husband and I will cherish for many years.
