Great for camera shy couples!
Kerri worked with us for our engagement and wedding photos. Neither my (now) husband or I enjoy having our picture taken, but Kerri made sure to make us comfortable. She didn’t put us in any unnatural poses that didn’t feel like us. She gave suggestions for locations for our engagement photos because we didn’t have a clue. On wedding day she made sure to capture every shot we wanted. We had a unique venue and Kerri worked with the space and got creative with how to shoot, especially inside the dark planetarium. She was great to work with! -

Talented Photographers, Exceeded All Expectations!
I couldn’t have imagined working with another set of photographers on our wedding day! From the moment that Chris & Kerri arrived to our wedding venue, they were prepared, and working to ensure that every type of image we wanted captured was taken care of. They were there to help us out through every scenario that we came across on the wedding day, from face touch ups from many happy tears, helping out with all special requests, placement of my veil, being patient yet spontaneous, and making my husband and I laugh along the way. We recently received our full gallery and I’m even more blown away than I expected to be. Chris and Kerri have the perfect photography style - not overly filtered, classic, could perfectly belong in a high end wedding magazine! I have a countless number of favorites from our gallery, and I am so thankful I have these memories to cherish forever! Chris and Kerri not only met, but exceeded every expectation given when we originally booked with them! -

I have had nothing but a wonderful experience working with Chris Kruger Photography from the very beginning! As I was reaching out to different photography vendors for my upcoming wedding, I realized most would just direct me to their pricing on their website and/or give me some info over email. When I reached out to CKP, Kerri quickly responded and asked to jump on a phone call so she could learn more about us, our vision, etc. This gesture made me feel so comfortable and I knew they would be the right vendor for us!
We have now been working directly with Chris - we did our engagement photos a few months ago and couldn't be happier with them! He made us feel comfortable and gave us very clear directions on how to pose. We love our photos so much and cannot wait to see our wedding photos.
During the current COVID crisis, we realized pretty early that we would likely need to postpone our May wedding. I reached out to Chris who responded very quickly (even though I'm sure getting a number of these types of emails) and was so empathetic. He quickly gave us other date options that could work and made us feel at ease during this uncertain time.

We were so thrilled to find Chris Kruger Photography! We had Kerri for both our engagement photos and wedding and were thrilled to work with her! She is professional and so good at what she does!
She paid close attention to detail, which we greatly appreciated! The turn around for our images was so quick too for peak season. We were so happy with how all of our photos turned out. We would highly recommend them and would hire them again in a heartbeat. -

They are so talented and professional but also an absolute pleasure to be around. We couldn’t imagine spending our Wedding day with anyone else. As someone that has personally been in the Wedding Industry myself for nearly a decade, I can’t say enough with how highly I recommend their company to anyone looking to hire a Wedding Photographer. The little things like tying my now husband’s bow tie and even buttoning up my Wedding Dress speaks volumes as to how they go above and beyond for their couples. We received SO many images from our day and in such a short amount of time and the value in their product is undeniable. The entire process from our engagement photos to now just a few weeks since our big day has been a dream. Do yourself a favor and hire Chris Kruger Photography! -

Estefania Sent on 02/17/2014A girls wedding is one she will never forget. Its a day that we plan our ENTIRE lives and hope in the end, it is exactly as it was in our dreams. My wedding was a DREAM come true! Not just because I got to marry my PRINCE CHARMING, but because we hired the most amazing vendors anyone could have ever asked for. I have to say PHOTOGRAPHY was one of the most IMPORTANT vendors to me. I am someone who loves to capture every single moment of her life on camera. I have albums and albums, of trips to Disney or a day at the ZOO, so capturing my wedding was a top priority. Calling Chris Kruger was definitely one of the best decisions my husband and I have ever made. From the beginning he shows you all of his incredible work (which you can see on his blog, website, Facebook), but most importantly, he makes you feel as though your wedding is his most important shoot. Chris really wants to make your vision come to life in your photos and that is EXACTLY what he did for us. He has an incredible personality,fun, artistic, and very understanding. He also made the experience fun (which is good if you are not someone who is used to standing in front of a camera) ! Everyone was having a blast while we were shooting. Do yourself a favor and give him a call you wont be disappointed! Our pictures came out incredible! They remind me of my very own fairy-tale. Thank you Chris for all you did for us! It was an amazing day and you really went above and beyond!

Heather Sent on 11/24/2012Chris Kruger did our engagement photos and our wedding day photos. My fiance and I are both a little uncomfortable in front of the camera and Chris took care of that by making everything fun. The price packages are very reasonable - you are getting a great photographer and the quality will show. He is great at what he does and it shows in all of his pictures. We are from out of town, so he picked out the perfect location for the engagement photos for us based on our preferences. The turn around time for the photos was very fast. Chris was very organized and professional. The day of the wedding, Chris helped out in ways that were so impressive. I didnt know how to bustle my dress and he quickly swooped in and helped the bridal party. Every time something was messed up on me - my hair or makeup, etc. - the ENTIRE day - he was there to help me out (not that my bridesmaids suck but theres alot going into the big day and they were handling other things :) ). He got so many wonderful pictures and I am so excited to share them with our family and friends. Honestly, I cant wait for the next big milestone in our lives so we can do more photos with him. Highly reccomend!!!!! You wont be disappointed. -

Stephanie Sent on 08/26/2022Photos Weren't What We Asked For
Unfortunately, I did not have the best experience with CKP. We originally met with Chris over Zoom, and expressed that we were looking for a photographer that would shoot our photos "true to color" as we weren't fans of the current "light and airy" trend. He reassured us that the photos would have a classic look and wouldn't be overexposed. We really enjoyed our chat with him and felt confident he understood our vision, so we went ahead and booked him. Fast forward a year or so, and we booked our engagement shoot with them a couple months before the wedding (neither of us live in Charlotte so we couldn't do it sooner). Kerri ended up being the one to take our photos. We were sort of surprised because we had never met her before and were under the impression that Chris would be our photographer, but the session went well and our photos turned out good so we were okay with it. On the day of our wedding, Kerri was again our photographer with another assistant. Kerri was sort of withdrawn and unfriendly, but I thought maybe she was just focused or having a bad day. Unfortunately, she also didn't seem very well prepared. I would ask her where we were going to take our wedding party photos or family portraits and she didn't have a plan. Maybe I should have figured that out in advance, but I figured part of her job as photographer was to have a "vision" and find places with good lighting and background, since I didn't know how they would come out in pictures. Either way, it added stress and threw our schedule off on the day of the wedding, which was not ideal. Additionally, I didn't feel like she made an effort to ensure the photos would actually turn out GOOD. She didn't fix hair or dresses, etc. The only bridal portrait I have, my hair is in my face. And for all our family portraits, my dress is all bunched up. I know she can't fix everything, but I wish she would have paid a bit more addition to detail. Finally, the biggest issue, was when our pictures came back, they were SO over exposed. I literally cried when I opened our portfolio and couldn't bring myself to look at half of them because I was so upset. Maybe some people would be happy with this style, but it was so clearly the opposite of what we had asked for - the sky and our skin was bright white. I hated to be difficult, but my friends and family encouraged me to reach out because we had specifically asked for photos that were true to color. I thought maybe they had forgotten? I didn't understand what had happened because they looked so different from our engagement photos and the other photos on their site. When I met with Kerri, she was clearly annoyed and very dismissive, repeatedly asking, "You're sure you want it like THIS?" even though I felt like it was pretty obvious they were overexposed. It was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've ever been through. In the end, she did edit our photos and they look much better. But the whole thing left a really sour taste in my mouth. It's taken me months to be able to go through them and post some to social media. With time, the photos are growing on me and she did a good job capturing all the elements, which is why I gave her 2 stars. But I can't say that I would use CKP again or recommend them to a friend. Looking through the comments, it seems like they work great as a pair, and I'm sure that's the case. Maybe Kerri wasn't used to working on her own or isn't as confident in that setting. So if you do want to use this photographer, maybe make sure to confirm who exactly will be your wedding photographer and make sure they share your vision! -
