The perfect cake for a memorable wedding
Several years ago, we were dining at Chive Kitchen and ordered a pistachio cake for dessert. It was one of the best cakes (vegan or non-vegan) I had ever had, and I said then and there that this was the cake I wanted at my wedding some day. So, one of the first things we did when we set a date was contact Chive Kitchen. My husband has a dairy and egg allergy, so something delicious and vegan was a must. The cake and cupcakes that chef Suzy and chef Sarah provided far exceeded our expectations. They were responsive and easy to work with. The cake decoration blended seamlessly with our venue and theme, and guests raved about how delicious the cake and cupcakes were. The desserts definitely contributed to making our wedding reception memorable!Chive's reply:

100% Book Suzy and her team. First off, yes, the food was absolutely delicious. We wanted an all vegan wedding and Chive did not disappoint. Suzy was a pleasure to work with and was very thorough/flexible with the contract so that we knew both what were things that we were going to need, and who was responsible for providing those things. Day of the wedding her staff were extremely professional and as I mentioned, the food was delicious! We had contracted for a cocktail hour /w appetizers, dinner, and a bar with the staff to support these things. All of Chive's services were top-notch and I have only positive things to say about Suzy and her team! We would absolutely recommend Chive to our friends, family, and internet strangers. -

Highly Recommend! Excellent Experience!
Chef Suzy and her team at Chive were very easy to work with! Suzy is very detail oriented and had everything for both my wedding and bridal shower seamlessly arranged. The Chive team traveled to the Traverse City area and set up an incredible experience! Suzy worked with me and my venue coordinator to arrange everything from floor plans, linens and table scapes, to menus, cocktail hour and much more. Suzy is a full service planner! I had guests tell me that my wedding/shower were the best events they've been to and that the food and service were wonderful. The Chive staff at both events were extremely attentive, personable and detail oriented. Thank you Chive!Chive's reply:

Suzy was incredible! She made the process of planning my out-of-state wedding reception so simple. I loved how organized she was and timely, as well. We already loved Chive’s food, but now I can honestly say we love Suzy, too! The food was outstanding! We received many compliments from my meat and cheese-loving omnivore family members. One family member said it was the best mostaccioli she’s ever eaten! Finally, the staff was friendly and the decor was lovely, minimalistic and exactly what I wanted. I was confident that I had nothing to worry about because Suzy completely understood my vision. A wonderful day was had and enjoyed by all! Thank you again for everything Suzy! We had a fantastic experience with Chive Kitchen for our event! It was my husband's 50th birthday so I worked with Suzy to create a wonderful surprise party for him. The food and drinks were all fantastic. They seriously went above and beyond! There were only 2 vegan guests out of the 31 people who came and everyone was in love with the food. It was an event that people still talk about and we will always fondly remember. -

Chive kitchen was the best decision we made for our wedding. They took care of all of our food and drinks, including our cake and late-night apps. The food was amazing! We had a lot of guests who were worried about it being an all vegan wedding, all we heard after the wedding was how good the food was! They worked with us to take care of any dietary concerns and their staff was very well trained to address any questions our guests had. Chive kitchen helped us come up with a custom drink menu that had our guests lined up at the bar for more! The bartenders they provided were knowledgeable and extremely professional, and knew how to politely handle any of our more rambunctious guests.
On top of the food and drinks, Chive also kept in contact with us leading up to the wedding, letting us know if there were any other decisions to be made. They were very on top every detail, from table settings to timing out each event with the food.
In Summary: Amazing food, creative and delicious cocktails and drinks, easy to work with, polite and profession staff. I wish I could give them 6 stars. I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking to make their wedding amazing (and low stress!)
