The Meadows gave us an incredible deal because my husband is in the military. They included so many extras for us, such as the cake, DJ, dessert table, upgraded bar, chair bows, surprise groom's cake, etc. Anything I asked for, they were willing to do. Everybody raved about how great the food was and especially how delicious the cake was. I had a wonderful hostess who was with me the entire time. They brought out drinks and apps while we were doing pictures and had our favorite drinks waiting for us at our table when we got in to the reception. The staff was all very friendly and accommodating. -

My daughter's wedding was made beautiful by The Meadows staff and owners. The wedding was outside and the day was perfect. The reception was awesome with the best food around. The band and DJ kept the music flowing all night. The staff did a fantastic job to make this day very special for us. Thank you to the staff who worked the wedding/reception and to Denise, Kim and Russ for all you did to make this day so special for us. -

Russell and Kim have an amazing team that work with them. People are still talking about the quality and quantity of food. The price was amazing compared to others in the area and all our needs were met. I never went a moment without one of the hostesses asking if I needed anything. I highly recommend them. We used them for an off premise wedding at Sand Castle winery and they worked perfectly with our coordinator and the winery and open aire affairs.

The Meadows is a first class establishment from the food right down to the silverware. The band was absolutely wonderful. They sounded great, played a wide variety of songs and made sure any song you wanted that was obscure was found and played. The food was amazing, they have a huge variety of choices for all palettes. The staff was welcoming, accomidating, and very professional. The cake they made was delicious and looked exactly like the picture we provided. And the best part - the price was extremely reasonable. So reasonable you almost thought you were robbing them somehow.
I would recommend this establishment to any and all bride and grooms. -

I could not have been more impressed with The Meadows. We chose to have our ceremony outside on the deck. Our reception was both indoors and outdoors. The food was unbelievable and the band was fabulous. Our guests were all pleased and continue to tell their friends and family what a great time they had.
The room was decorated with chair covers and bows to match our colors. The cake was provided and turned out beautiful. The Meadows also provided a dessert table. Everything was delicious.
All of my calls were promptly returned and all of my questions answered. Russell (the owner) was very flexible and helped make this a perfect day for us. -

I had my wedding at the Meadows 9/9/17. I had never been a part of any wedding planning so I had absolutely NO idea what I was doing. Denise and Rust were extremely helpful! They explained everything thoroughly...even multiple times! We had several meetings with them and every single detail was explained every step of the way! We had a couple of "bumps" but nothing drastic at all! A staff member grabbed the wrong toss bouquet right before I was set to walk down the aisle but she literally ran and retrieved it for me in time and apologized profusely! Our cake topper was put on incorrectly but the cake itself was so gorgeous that I doubt anyone even noticed. The entire venue is extremely photogenic! Our photographer and even guests were in love! I was able to customize so many parts of the ceremony and reception. The staff did a perfect job of being very helpful without getting in the way or being over bearing. I am pretty sure every single one of my guests complimented the food! It was juicy and cooked perfectly and was served at the perfect temperature! I didn't get many drinks from the bar personally but when I did speak to who seemed to be the head bartender, he was awesome! He was VERY outgoing and clearly loved what he was doing. You could give him an idea of something you like and he will go whip up something different that he knew you'd like! Clean up was a breeze! Of course, being the bride, any time I wanted to go anywhere, I was bombarded by guests congratulating me so I had absolutely no time to even attempt to assist with clean up. At the end of the night when I had finally made my way inside, the staff already had all of my belongings organized in piles and even provided a cart to assist us with taking the items out to the car. They even boxed up our cake topper and knife set without us prompting. They boxed up the cake and everything. They disassembled and organized our center pieces. We weren't rushed out the door at the end of the night. -

I heard so many good things about the meadows, I decided to check it out for my wedding. I was not disappointed. From the day I toured the facility to the end of the reception everything was great. The staff and especially the hostess was wonderful. Whatever I wanted Russell and Kim went out of their way to make it happen. The food was great and the entertainment had everyone out of their seats and dancing. Great place to go, make sure you ask for Russell he will walk you through every detail. No worries! -

I dreamed of an semi-formal, summer outdoor wedding and knew right away that The Meadows would fit the bill. After signing a contract for 7/4/2010, I was called two days later to be informed that they double-booked my venue! WHAT?! I had first-dibs, but since I had a more budget-friendly wedding (read: they negotiated an excellent deal for us to begin with), they offered to give me a substantial discount to move my wedding back one week. I accepted... in hindsight, it was meant to be because that 4th of July was sweltering and July 11th was a beautiful day. Anyways, that made me nervous, but everything went smoothly after that glitch.
I really enjoyed having my wedding at the Meadows. If you are the "bridezilla" type that wants a business to suck up to you constantly and fret over trivial things, then this is not your venue. We were a low key, go-with-the-flow couple and this venue, their owners, and staff reflected that. They get things done, when they need to be done, with a great price point. When I signed my contract, I literally had nothing to worry about except for flowers, photography, favors, and someone to marry us. They have the flexibility and capacity to do everything from black-tie affairs to backyard picnics for every budget. Everyone loved my wedding and thought the venue/concept was perfect for my husband and I on our wedding day. A big thanks to Russell, Denise and staff for a perfect day! -

Let me start by saying that I work at a similar wedding banquet facility in the area so I know what is normal and what is not...
I loved The Meadows because it was so pretty. I met with the owner, Russ, several times and spoke to Denise, one of their bartenders and office people, on the phone often. I was always made to feel very welcome, where at my own place of work, we don't really enjoy it when people come in 100 times before their wedding. So, I was impressed that I was so welcome there. I was also impressed with the prices. I went in with a budget in mind, told them what I wanted and they made it work. In fact, they added several free items, like a shrimp cocktail, dessert table, shuttle service, and upgraded our dinner to surf and turf and our hors to the top level. I'm not sure how they could do all of that for what we paid, but I was happy.
A few days before the wedding, I got a few frantic phone calls asking why I never sent in my seating chart, which I did; why I didn't bring a picture of my wedding cake, which I did; and what time I was ending, which I had spoken to the owner about only a few days prior. So, it made me nervous to have these calls coming in that would have been solved if they took the time to look at their notes in my file before they called me.
The day of the wedding, everything was going well. The ceremony out on the deck by the creek was beautiful, the landscaping was perfect for pictures, and our host, Donna, seemed very willing to help the bridal party with whatever they needed. My only complant is that I wish she would have brought the hors over to me instead of just to my bridal party. I only got one bacon wrapped scallop :( Also, she only asked if I wanted a drink once during the whole cocktail hour. Of course, I could have been more vocal about my wishes as well, so it's not all her fault.
Next, we got ready to be announced. This went wonderfully and lead right into our first dance. Again, no problems. However, the next hour was not so perfect... As we were walking off the dance floor to the head table we heard a huge crash. The table where all of my parents and little brother were seated had fallen down because the table legs were not locked into place on one side. My $100 centerpiece was destroyed, all of the plates and glassware were broken, and several guest were soaking wet because of all the liquid. Unfortunately, my little brother got hit the worst and cried for awhile while the staff cleaned up the mess. About 20 minutes later, a new table had been brought in and was set up again with the remaining flowers stuffed into one of their vases. Our host, Donna, came to speak to me about the problem and said that our last hour (we already told them we wanted to add an extra hour at the end) was going to be free (it would have been $100 for the room and $100 for the band and dj).
We started eating dinner, which was perfect! Everyone loved the food. Then, one of our groomsmen came back from the bar with a martini. My husband commented on how the grromsmen was "living large" to which the groomsmen replied that he surely was since it cost $6.00. I was shocked to hear this since we were supposed to have an open bar, middle shelf (which included, the liquor, two beers, three wines, two frozen drinks, and hot hard apple cider). I questioned the people around me and they said that the bar had been charging people to upgrade from bottom shelf all night and that no one knew about the hot and frozen drinks! That's when I lost it! After some words, the bartender came over and said there had been a mix up and since they would be unable to return the money to our guests since they didn't know who it belonged to, they were going to upgrade us to top shelf for the rest of the night and give us the last extra hour of bar for free.
After that, the rest of the night was pretty good. Our guests loved the food and music and kept saying how beautiful the place was. We partied all night and had a blast. We are now able to laugh about the falling table, since no one really got hurt, but the bar situation still has me upset since I am the head bartender at my work and nothing like that would ever happen under my watch.
Overall, we had a great experience with The Meadows. The staff was helpful and friendly and we got a great deal. Just make sure you are getting what you wanted and paid for by asking questions and checking on things yourself once you get there. -

For us they provided the Reception Site (THE PARAGON ROOM), Favors, Catering, Cake & DJ... but unfortunately did not follow through on Shuttle Service (which we paid for) and had confirmed 2 days prior with pick-up to and from our venue. Minus the transportation mishap, our Reception was perfect in every way. The food was EXCELLENT, the hall was beautiful. There is a wonderful private room for the bride & groom to wait prior to being announced and wonderful for any primping of other private time. The nice thing about this reception hall is that it's the ONLY THING happening on site! There is plenty of parking. -

Although I was nervous at first at the sort of 'forgeddaboutit' attitude they pulled through with everything they promised. They seemed unprofessional and there were multiple instances where the owner promised something and then later upon speaking to the coordinators they were unaware and things had to be rehashed. If I hadn't had so many people recommend them to me, I would have been very freaked out. Definitely have your wedding in March-April it is almost half price! The cake was extremely yummy and almost the exact design we gave. You also can't beat the scenery there for pictures. Overall for what you get for your money they are fantastic! -

The Meadows staff is very laid back. When I initially called to view their facility, they told me just to come in. We walked around on our own, which felt awkward. I would have appreciated someone giving us a tour, instead of just telling us to do it on our own. I was worried b/c they also didn't provide a lot of direction for us with our ceremony (we had it on their deck). But, when the day arrived, we did have direction from our main server who told us when to walk out. The anxiety leading up to it was very intense though! The Meadows was very flexible upon my request to have a birthday cake for two of our guests who were celebrating their birthdays. You can't beat their prices! -

The Meadows was a beautiful location and all of our guests were very in love with the ceremony and reception. We had horrible rain and The Meadows was underwater for a better part of the day, but they managed to pull off a beautiful day for us. There were a few little things that I didn't expect from them: they called my husband several times asking how to set things up (not complicated set up at all-vases with floating candles and a few leaves on the tables) and this wouldn't be a big deal but I was reassured several times that all we had to do was drop everything off and it would be set up without any problems, when I showed up I had to ask several people to find my hostess to ask questions, and there wasn't much direction when it was time to cut the cake either. Oh and the cake we ended up with was pretty, but not quite like the picture I gave to them 2 weeks prior to the wedding.
Over all we were happy with The Meadows, but there were a few little things that were unexpected due to the professionalism of the facility. -

I have extremely mixed reviews on The Meadows. We got a GREAT deal on the venue bc it wasn’t booked until April before the wedding. We met with Russell several times prior to October to go over menu, signature drinks, cake, etc… all of those meetings with Russell were wonderful, he was great, very on top of his planning & orchestration of the big event. The ceremony on the deck and reception in the Anducci Ballroom was beautiful and picturesque. We brought our décor to the venue the morning of but when we arrived at 345, nothing was set up. Luckily some of my ladies set it up for me, w/o me even knowing until after the fact. The DJ was smoking a cigarette as my flower girl was walking down the aisle, wth? The food was great, highly recommend the coconut shrimp, jalapeño poppers, the cheese plate, guacamole, etc. The food for the meal was also very good, but the buffet line was VERY long & the staff kept encouraging more tables to get up for their turn at the buffet. Here’s where it went downhill… in addition to everything else that was provided, so was the band which during the mock wedding, that they provide, it was a 7 piece band minimum. The night of our wedding, there were 3 men in the band & they played all of 4 songs before they turned it over the “DJ” who was one of the men in the band. I provided him with an entire list of songs for dinner, dancing, etc. It was like he downloaded the first 1/3 of the list & then gave up. He had CDS- we are not in the 1990s anymore & played things like Ricky Martin, Mark Anthony, things that are on NO ONES list, ever! One of my friends luckily made a playlist & we had a blast from there. I would recommend this place, but STAY ON TOP OF IT & HIRE YOUR OWN DJ, regardless of what Russell says and promises. We didn’t see him at all the night of our wedding, but the hostess, I believe her name was Beth or Betsy, was great. We even forgot stuff at the venue & they kept it there for us until someone could pick it up. -

Overall, we had a great experience at the Meadows. They are definitely a good value...but at times I felt like I got what I paid for. They aren't as organized or professional as any of my other vendors, but they still ended up pulling it all off. I hated that I didn't know who was going to be working my wedding until I showed up a couple of minutes before show-time. It would have been nice to review the details with the people assigned to me before-hand...but they know what they're doing and everything went pretty well. If you use their mic (PA system) for your ceremony, just make sure they do a sound check before...they didn't at mine and no one could hear our beautiful ceremony. Their grounds/location are great though! -

The Meadows Venue was very beautiful although you do get what you pay for. The price was great way cheaper than anywhere else we had looked and they were great when it came to working with us price wise. The host that stayed with us all night catered to us so well and made sure we felt like king and queen for the night. Everything turned out great however there were a couple downfalls. The Management (owners wife, office manager) are very unorganized, can not agree on anything, our receipts were lost so we were questioned on whether we had paid for everything or not. Every time we went in for our appointments we had to speak with someone different and that person wouldn't agree with what the last person said. The owners wife seems very moody/nasty and when simple requests were asked she would respond as if it were either a problem or a hassle for her to do although she did agree to do it. Overall I would recommend this venue, its beautiful and well known just be on top of everything and be aware that there may be other weddings/events going on as the same day as your event. -

I had my wedding at the meadows a few months ago. Planning the whole day was so simple and they were very flexible with us. When our day came everything was beautiful and where I wanted it. Then I saw the cake, it looked like a child put it together and not even close to the picture I showed them previously. Aside from the looks it tasted great! The hostess we had for the day was great but I feel like she was hurrying everyone thru eating and cake and everything, the service was horrible. Now that I have time I've been putting our scrapbook and everything together. That being said, I haven't open the box for the cake cutter set and our cake topper since May. The set and topper are both stainless steel plated. Now when I opened them today, they are pitted from not being dried and still have icing on them. Therefore, they ruined them until I decide to get them plated. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They're cheap and have great views but their service is poor and the cake decorating is horrible. -

The Meadows Grove was our ceremony and reception venue. They also made our cake and dessert bar. This review could get lengthy, but save a busy bride time, this is the best way I can put it. The Meadows is a great venue in terms of the simplistic beauty of the venue itself, the quaint location, and the very attractive prices. We booked a sit down dinner, open basic bar, cocktail hour, and dessert bar/cake for up to 120 people for $9,500.00 which is a steal and even unheard of especially in the Lehigh Valley area. Although, I will say in some instances you get what you pay for. What gets me was the overall lack of professionalism and the terrible response delay. Throughout the entire process, anytime either I or my fiance had questions, they never answered, and would sometimes not call back for several days. And depending on who you spoke with (could be Russ, the owner, Denise, the business manager, Russ's wife or Russ's daugter) you would get a different answer each time. The business manager Denise, she is very friendly and she will make you laugh, but half the time she has no idea what is going on, and when you ask her a simple question, she will not or very rarely have the answer. She told us we could decorate on Friday before our wedding. She said she would call if that changed. We showed up, unloaded all our decorations, and I had at least ten people there, walk into our reception, and there is another reception going on!!!! I was furious, and my fiance demanded to speak with someone, nothing was done about it, and we had to return the next morning at 7 a.m., and push back our entire schedule for the day of my wedding!!! I was a very laid back bride but that was absurd. Overall, the day went great. The staff was courteous, and everything looked beautiful. So, yes I would recommend it to a friend based on the value and the stand alone beauty of the venue, but be prepared for aggravation and set backs the entire way when dealing with the planning and payment. -

When my husband and I first contracted with The Meadows for our Ceremony and Reception we were extremely excited. We met with Russell and felt we were in good hands. We went to their bridal show in January and were still feeling good about having our ceremony and reception at the Meadows. We met again with Russell in March to begin to finalize some plans and things were still great. Things changed when we no longer were dealing with Russell. We began to ask to meet with the baker for our wedding cake. Throughout the process, our repeated requests were either outright ignored or we were told to bring in a picture of the cake we wanted. I, for one, did not have time to go on the internet to comb through millions of pictures or leaf through magazines. In the end, we just told them the cake type, filling and frosting we wanted and told them to put flowers in the colors of the wedding. The skimped big time on the amount of flowers they put on and I was extremely disappointed in the cake. In addition, we dealt with Denise and Melissa for our wedding. Denise was not friendly to us at all. She told us that we had such a small wedding it was no big deal and we shouldn't concern ourselves with the details in the time frame that we did. Sorry Denise, but this was our wedding and you made us feel as they we were nothing but a bother to you. Maybe you do many weddings during the course of a year and hundreds or even thousands during your career but you need to remember those planning a wedding have most likely never done it before and want assurances of every aspect of the day as the day approaches. Melissa was inexperienced to the point that during our final appointment, she wanted to charge us double the cost because we were having a pig roast and wanted to charge us for a regular buffet. She also wanted to charge us for 3 children all of whom were under the age of 2! Luckily someone else was in the office during these final plans and was able to correct Melissa in our final plans. We were also happy that Russell had also shown up during this final meeting and helped us feel confident in our final plans. The day itself was great thanks to our assigned Hostess Emily. She was totally awesome as was the rest of the staff assigned to our event. My recommendation if you want to book The Meadows, request to work with Russell and unless you have time to find a photo of the exact cake you want, don't do your cake there. -

The food was great. I was supposed to get an individually plated pasta course, which I paid extra for which didn't happen. My best man had to ask them to take it all back and replace it. We had 157 people in attendance and a very small 2 tiered cake since we saved the very top. The cake looked nothing like it was supposed to look like, and most of my guests never recieved cake because there wasn't enough to go around. -

This venue is the lowest of the low. The staff in the office are very rude and disrespectful. The owner's name "Russell" is very helpful at first but then he allows these two individuals (his wife and Denise) to step in and go back on every agreement made. Don't expect nothing to go as planned. They are lyers!!! His wife is miserable. Its no reason in the world for someone who is about to get married should have to deal with a old hag. At no time do her or Denise make people feel welcome. If you are looking for a stress free venue that knows how to conduct business on a professional level, The Meadows in Hellertown is not it....RUN!!! You do get what you pay for. -

First off, I did not sign a contract with this place. This was the place I wanted for my wedding but after all I went through with them I decided not to. Reason I am not choosing this venue is for many reasons. As I arrived it was everything I pictured. Upon entering the inside hall to Speak with Russell his wife Kim was extremely RUDE! She acted as if us being there was annoying her. Once we spoke to Russell he was very nice but seemed overwhelmed. He went off ranting about the thousands of weddings he does a year how busy he is and so on. First impression, how can he handle my wedding if he is so busy. He then told me what he can do for me and offer me it within my price range which all of it seemed too good to be true especially for the price. We spent over an hour talking about everything besides my wedding and what I needed. For the price, I decided that I wanted to give this place a try. He sent me an email of the invoice of what it will cost with nothing on the paper that we discussed. During my second sit down for finalization after numerous phone tag playing that took place I finally got in and I met with his wife Kim who took us down to talk but had no clue what Russell spoke with us about. Not to mention the over booked viewings so I had to wait. She once again was extremely RUDE!! I wanted some adjustments on my contract that me and Russell discussed prior and was not on the contract. She then told me that for the price I'm getting and how much there typical weddings cost they cannot do that. She then ranted on about how much everything would cost for what I'm looking for and how they got to pay there bills too. Russell then took over and he was explaining how he's been up for 48 hours again something that is not needed in a conversation. Long story short they never resent out the correct contract. Every time I call they do not follow up until two days later. I did not get the experience I was looking for. Unprofessional and I did not sign a contract. -

The meadows reserves food from wedding to wedding. I worked there. This is a fact. When the food is brought back to the kitchen they scrape it off of the plates and back into the priginal serving dishes. ALL the leftover from the week is served during the buffet. This is disgusting. -
