    Best Wedding Cakes!

    My wedding cake was made at Chimirri's Italian Pastry Shop, and I was in love with it. They were able to make my dream cake come to life. It was absolutely gorgeous. The cake was also amazing, we had chocolate cake with raspberry. It was to die for. The cake was moist, and the flavor combination between the chocolate and raspberry was great. I was also equally impressed when my husband and I went there before our wedding. We went for a cake tasting, and the experience was relaxing, fun, and enjoyable. I am so grateful for the time and effort this shop put into our wedding cake because it was magnificent. I would recommend this pastry shop to anyone who is getting married.

    I would also recommend this pastry shop to anyone looking for a good pastry. Everything else in the shop it equally amazing. The quality and attention to detail with everything they do it something to be admired.

    Beautiful and Delicious Wedding Cake

    Our wedding cake from Chimirri's was included in the package with our venue but we were really happy with it! The tasting and planing process was very easy. They were very responsive and listened to everything we wanted. The cake was perfect and tasted great! I would definitely recommend Chimirri's for your wedding cake needs.

    Delicious!

    Chimurri's has delicious cakes! The bakery was a part of our venue package and I was not disappointed. We went for a tasting and it was so hard to choose, everything was so good! We ended up going with the cannoli cake and got so many compliments on how good it was. I also chose the design and it came out perfectly! We had our florist add flowers the day of. I would definitely recommend them!

    We got our cake from Chimirri's through Georgina's. We had a great experience with the tasting, and they are one of the few bakeries who do not use fondant (which is AWESOME). We selected our design and flavors and Georgina's took care of the rest. Our cake looked amazing and tasted just as good as it looked. We are looking forward to having our anniversary top (or a baby shower cake, whichever comes first).

    Perfection.

    My husband and I were planning a Connecticut wedding while living in California, whoof talk about stress! Lorena at Chimirri's made the process so stress free and fun!! We called her whenever we were in CT and went in for cake tasting. I did not know what I wanted exactly for a cake design yet and she said no worries I can always email her, which I did!! And the day of the wedding the cake was absolutely stunning!! Not only stunning but freaking DELICIOUS!! I cannot wait to pull the cake topper out at 1 year and eat it again :)

    We chose Chimirri's for our wedding cake and could not have been happier! We worked with Lorena and she was absolutely wonderful! As a Sicilian, I figured that choosing a cake flavor would be easy. I expected to have a piece of cannoli cake and then beg my now wife for us to pick that one. Wow...Chimirri's made things difficult (in a great way)! Of all of the sample cakes that Chimirri's provided, every single one was out-of-this-world good. Their cakes are so good that we ended up choosing a flavor that we didn't anticipate: chocolate with raspberry filling. Aside from the phenomenal taste of the cake (a sentiment shared by over 250 people at our "Big Fat Greek-Italian Wedding"), the presentation of the cake was incredible. Chimirri's does a fantastic job. We had other bakery options that were a lot closer to us, but Chimirri's made it worth the hour-long drive. Five stars, two thumbs up, mille grazie per tutti!

    My husband Andy and I got married on 11/4/17 and used Chimirri’s for our wedding cake. We had an initial cake tasting a few months before the wedding and it was so hard to choose which flavors we wanted because they were all so delicious! We had a 4 tiered cake (because of our guest count) and they allowed us to do a different flavor for each tier to accommodate all of our guests. We weren’t sure how we wanted the cake to look so they gave us a huge book of cake ideas and we were able to select one from there and put our own twist on it. The cake was delivered to our reception venue with no issues and looked even more beautiful than we imagined! It tasted just as delicious too! Thank you so much for the sweet treats!

    A cake from Chimirri's was included in our wedding venue package which is why we went with them. If I ever needed a cake again though I would definitely go to them. The cake was everything I envisioned it to be and they even took care of the little details, including dying the inside of the cake blue of me. Not only was it pretty it also tasted very good too :)

    So happy I chose to work with this vendor. The cake is preferred vendor for Aria Wedding and Banquets and rightfully so. Their cakes are gorgeous and test even better. I went for a cake testing in July. Everything was so delicious and I had a hard time choosing between the cannoli filling and lemon filling. Ilene (please forgive me if I got the name wrong), kindly accommodated making one layer cannoli cream and the other smaller layers lemon. IT WAS FABULOUS!!! Everyone is still talking about how delicious the cake was and how beautiful it was. Highly recommend.

    Our venue provided our wedding through Chimirri's as a part of our package, we made an appointment to select a cake, and had the most incredible tastings of multiple cakes to help us make our decision. Every piece we tasted was better than the last and a very difficult decision to make. In the end, because many of our dinner selections had sauces or glaze we chose to go with a lighter, refreshing cake of lemon with lemon filling. WOW, it was outstanding, and our guests raved at how delicious it was. It was a beautiful elegant cake which our florist topped off with gorgeous fresh iris's....it was a perfect cake!

    Chimirri's works with our reception venue, The Gallery, so we were able to get a wedding cake at Chimirri's for a discounted price. At our cake tasting appointment, we were offered quite a few varieties to choose from, cannoli cake, strawberry filling, chocolate mousse, etc. We settled on marble cake with chocolate mousse, which was delicious! They had a book for us to look at to choose a design. All the designs were nice but we chose a traditional, round, 3 tier cake with navy blue scrolls all around it. When we saw our cake at the venue, it looked exactly how I pictured, and it was not only beautiful, but all our guests told us it was delicious as well. We also grabbed a shot of espresso after our cake tasting which was quite good as well. I would definitely order from Chimirri's in the future!

    Chimirri's made the cake tasting appointment fun and they were very helpful in making suggestions to make sure we ordered the cake and flavors we liked. The cake was delivered on time with no fuss. They were professional and reliable. The cake was delicious!

    This is a favorite Italian Bakery and Pastry shop that used to be know as Flora Pastry on Franklin Ave. in Hartford, CT. The family moved the business to Wethersfield and renamed it after their family name.

    When my partner and I decided to get married, I knew this was the place that I wanted the cake done from. We called them and spoke with Lorena and made an appointment to come in for tastings and to talk design.

    The cake was everything we could have asked for and more. The cake was designed to look like two stacked Tiffany & Co. boxes in the Tiffany blue with the white satin ribbon. The cake came out so perfect that guests actually thought it was two gifts and had to go back to look and see it was an actual cake.

    As they say, "the proof is in the pudding", and that was true with this cake. It was absolutely delicious. It was not dry or bland as many wedding cakes can be and had very well balanced flavors. In fact quests went back for more and asked to take some home, it was that good.

    On top of all this the cost of the cake was extremely reasonable, especially compared to other places we called and got costs of more than double what we paid from some "well established" wedding cake places.

    If you want the ability to truly create a wedding cake to your tastes and have one that guests will talk about, call Chimirri's and ask for Lorena. You will not be disappointed.

    Lorna, The owner was so amazing. She had a huge book for us to look through and many samples to try. They were so friendly and easy to work with. The cake was absolutely perfect. Everyone at the wedding could not stop talking about how great it was. Many went back for seconds!! If you want a beautiful homemade cake made with love and care you must go to Chimmiri's on Silas Deane Hgwy in Wethersfield, Ct. Worth every penny I spent.

    We worked with Lorena and she was great! We wanted a less-conventional cake (chocolate chocolate CHOCOLATE) and she was willing to do different fillings in each tier. We went to a tasting that was completely free and we had a HUGE plate of different cakes with fillings and she even offered to box it up for us. We were worried because we heard from friends that going to a shop that does more than just wedding cakes might be a mistake but it totally was not! :)

    Our cake was SOO tasty and exactly what I wanted!!! Their prices are awesome as well- and Lorena is so great to work with. Everyone commented on how GOOD the cake was! Very easy to work with- you get exactly what you want, and the cake looks amazing.

    Chimirri's Italian Pastry shoppe made our wedding cake. We were able to go in ahead of time and eat many samples of cakes to choose from. It was so hard to choose because ALL the cakes were delicious. We were able to bring in our own decorations for the cake, and they had plenty of pictures of their cakes to give us ideas. We were also on a tight budget, but had a large wedding. We needed a 3 tiered cake, and delivery. They met our needs and the price was perfect. The staff were also nice, and helpful!

    Chimirri's cakes are beautiful and delicious, we love the raspberry mousse filling! They are flexible to meeting your needs so that you have one less thing to worry about. Their other pastries are also yummy.

    For someone who does not even like cake (me), our wedding cake was DELICIOUS. It was fresh, moist, and tasty! Working with Chimirri's was very easy from the tasting to the delivery. I gave them a picture of the cake design I wanted and they made it happen. They worked well with our venue (Aria) also.

    Our venue allowed us to select for several bakeries and Chimirri's by far had the best cake at the event our venue hosted. We decided to make an appointment since there was disagreement about what our actual wedding cake would be. The appointment was easy enough to make and the samples were delicious. Tho it was more difficult than expected we were able to make a choice. While i'd give them 5's across the board, for taste they lose points for decorations. We had a very simple design in mind, that had a single rose on each layer. We were told that we would need to supply the roses. We were only looking to do fondant roses. We certainly would have been willing to pay extra for this had that even been an option. We also were told we needed to supply an ribbon or material used in decoration. While I have no issue with that, perhaps tell people this when they call or have it on your website? It wasn't exactly down the road for us and with everything else going on it was near impossible to get there. Thankfully my parents were closer and willing to drop it off, my dad also has a sweet tooth. If they hadn't been able to we probably would have opted to go without it for sheer convenience.
