In the planning phase her knowledge of great vendors made our selection process much smoother... She connected us to a fabulous caterer, an amazing DJ, a great florist etc. All within the budget that I had outlined at the start. Also, she answered any questions I had very quickly (often instantly).
Once it came time for the party Johanna was great. She was at the location way before all of us, checking to make sure everything was in order.
She even helped with making sure that all of my out of town family got home to their hotels safely and easily. I didn't have to worry about anything. I just got to enjoy the party.
And beyond all of this, Johanna was a great pleasure to work with. She understood my busy schedule and was very flexible. She also helped calm me down when things were getting a bit overwhelming. She is fantastic.
Johanna brings great professionalism, motivation, attention to detail and love to her work. I was so grateful to have had her help and I would hire her again in a second

Johanna was great to work with. I hired her as a day of coordinator but she always answered my calls or emails with any random questions I asked her throughout my planning process. She was there for our rehearsal the night before and helped with setup that night. For our wedding, we had the ceremony and reception in the same room, so she flipped the room during the cocktail time. It took about an hour and a half, which we expected. She set it up exactly how I wanted and I couldn’t have done it without her! She thought of all the little things I didn’t even consider. She brought a team with her and they helped with everything, including my candy bar. She even made sure our drinks were never empty throughout the night. When my husband and I set our wedding date, we had decided to do the entire wedding planning and coordination ourselves. Within the first week, Johanna had sent over an itemized budget, list of local venues with prices, contact information for all vendors, as well as a ton of other information that we didn't even know that we needed. She found us a 5 star venue that we didn't even bother looking at because we assumed it was out of our price range, but they were running a special if you booked by the end of June 2011. It looked like we spent 2 or 3 times more money than we actually did. We literally could not have planned the wedding without her, she was amazing.
The day of the wedding, we felt like guests in the best way imaginable. Neither of us had to lift so much as a finger (much less speak to a vendor). Everything was so perfectly smooth and organized. When we were getting quotes for wedding planners, Johanna was SIGNIFICANTLY lower than anyone else, so we assumed that we were "getting what we paid for", but it was quite the opposite. We felt a little guilty for all of the time and effort that she was putting into our wedding. I cannot have imagined our day going any better.
Getting married is the largest and single most special event that most people will ever experience in their lifetime, and the planner/coordinator is in charge of running it all. There was no one at our wedding more organized or caring than Johanna & her team. I can confidently refer her to any new bride-to-be.

Johanna and her team came through. They styled the venue on the day of. Johanna & her team worked so well with my florist and all my other vendors. The table card set up was exactly what I dreamed--the table covered with beautiful orchids and birch vases. The cards were placed on japanese grass mats and looked very clean and designy. The dinner tables were set up flawlessly, with a real attention to the "guest experience."
As my husband said after our wedding, if Johanna & her team had not been there, I probably would have been so worried about what the venue looked like that I might not have been able to let go and enjoy the day. I think at first he wasn't sure why I needed a planner/designer. Now he knows that it made me more relaxed, and that is exactly what he wanted too.
Johanna is a true professional with an easy going personality who gets things done beautifully. Having her & her team there on the day of your wedding will surely prevent any worry wrinkles!

Johanna did partial planning and day of coordinating for our wedding. She was great to bounce ideas off of and had great ideas to share with us. She was never far away when I needed her and I loved how she always had an eye out for something that might work with our wedding. She had great recommendations for vendors when we needed help finding someone. The day of the wedding I truly had nothing to worry about with her in control. I was actually very relaxed the whole day and I know that she helped me feel that way.
Her & her team made sure both Alex & I were ok all night & that everything was executed on time. Her mom is also the biggest sweet heart. I had major issues w/ my hair and veil & she came to the rescue as well as with my bustle.
It truly was such a delight to work with Johanna and her whole team I would highly recommend her to any bride. From her accessibility, flexibility, vendor contacts, and creativity, Johanna will not only execute your vision for your wedding, but well exceed your expectations. She's amazing!

My wedding planning was really rough. We had so many unexpected bumps in the road, including a glitch with our wedding venue where we had to change venues two months before our wedding date. Chic & Sleek was the wisest vendor we spent our money on. They gave us monthly checklist before the wedding, which made us realize exactly what loose ends we needed to tie up and what we needed to address - things we never would have thought of, which was a huge help. And the day of the wedding, they made sure everything was executed flawlessly - scheduled perfectly so I wasn't worried about any of that.
They also really helped us negotiate our pricing w/ vendors. They saved us a good 30% on all the vendors they recommended.
They were amazing turning over our Ceremony site to our reception site. They followed to the T, exactly how I wanted to have everything set up & they decorated the most AMAZING Candy Buffet.
I can't express how greatfull I am to C&S for making our Day, the most Epic day ever.

Jorge and I wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the amazing job you and your team did on our wedding. Though we did not hire you as a full time wedding consultant it felt as if we did. No matter how big or how small our requests were you always made it happen. We gave you a vision and you brought it to reality! I know at times I was all over with ideas and you made sure to keep me on track. Your advice, guidance, and superb eye for detail made our wedding the spectacular event that it was. All our friends and family comment that it was the most beautiful wedding that they have ever been too, not just because the love John and I share for each other but due to the fact that the food, appetizers, floral arrangements, dance floor monograms, and the entire décor was completely original and tasteful. We had people admit to us when we told them our colors scheme of Pink and Orange they were nervous to see the outcome of such two vibrant colors coming together. Never could they imagine how well they worked together and how they made our ceremony and reception a warm, inviting, fun, and loving party!
When John and I saw the reception site for the first time it took both or breaths away. Thankfully our photographer took numerous pictures of the all the details before guests started to arrive so we were able to see each and every detail come together, again exactly how we envisioned plus some. I must admit when explaining your vision to someone you do get a bit leery as to if they fully grasp the concept you are going for – Johanna you not only grasped it but you added to it! Your inspiration and all the details you brought to the table especially incorporating our cake design into our ceremony programs, menus, escort, and table cards was the perfect touch. You took our beach setting and made it into reality. When I was about to give up on Violinist for our ceremony, you found the perfect group within our budget. We could not have been more pleased with all the vendors you recommended to us, especially Ubi our DJ and John photography.
My biggest fear on my wedding day is that instead of me enjoying my time getting ready with my bridesmaids I would be anxious about setting up for the ceremony and reception. Wondering if all vendors had made it on time and everything was on schedule. Not to mention worrying that I would forget something at the reception, like cutting the cake or the father daughter dance. With you there knowing how many weddings you have under your belt, the detailed timeline you created for the entire weekend down to the minute, I fully trusted you in turn, I had the best day of my life. You ran our wedding so smoothly ensuring not only John and I had the time of our lives but our guests did too. No stress, no worries, no clock watching – you covered everything! Pointing John and I in the direction that we needed to go however, ensuring we were enjoying ourselves and spending time with each and every one of our guests.
Johanna, the most important day of our lives was in your hands, John and I cannot be more thankful for the wonderful job you did!

The Chic and Sleek Team were phenomenal Before, During & Even after my wedding. I hired them early in my planning process for Full Planning and they were w/ me every step of the way. From finding my dress to helping me plan my Bridal Shower to welcoming us back from my honeymoon. There are no words to express all the love & appreciation I have for Johanna & her team. I love the fact that her entire family is involved. I hired Johanna for full wedding plan and it was the best investment Orly & I have done especially with everything we have going on with school and work. She found me all my vendors, negotiated all my contracts and when I went dress shopping she came along for the ride and gave me her unbiased opinion. When Orly went for suit, Ricky went along for the ride. It was awesome. They were like our Best Friends during the Pre-Planning. On the day of the wedding Johanna's mom came by our suite with Cuban Pastries while the girls and I were getting ready. When our Make-Up didn't show up, Johanna was on her phone and was able to find someone last minute and Ricky even went to pick her up because she had no car. That shows then length that they would go. Our ceremony location looked above and beyond than we ever imagined and our reception site was a Dream Come True, because some how some way she was able to pull off Up-Lighting and for our monogrammed to be displayed in the middle of the dance floor. That was something we truly wanted and were not able to afford. I would recommend CHIC AND SLEEK with my eyes closed to anyone. They were there for us day & night & even after the wedding we receive emails & texts. My guests are still talking about my wedding & that is only because of all the hard that Johanna & her team put into making Orly & My Day absolutely AMAZING!!!Sent on 04/04/2012

Chic and Sleek Events helped me find most of my vendors to fit my budget. They negotiated all my contracts to keep me below my budget. Johanna the owner was always reachable either via e-mail or phone at whatever time. When it was 3am, & some crazy idea popped into my head I would text her or e-mail & she would actually reply back. She also assisted me in various vendor meetings. I gave them my idea of what I wanted & they pointed me towards the right direction and made my dream come true. We had the ceremony & reception in the same spot so there had to be a turnover period. When half the guests didn't show, the team redisgned my layout and it looked amazing!
There is no way I could have had time or given instructions to enough ppl to get done in two days what Chic & Sleek events did.
Not only this, but they are very detailed in the info they collect before hand and are great at keeping up communications!
