The Perfect Day!
The Chauncey Hotel was the perfect wedding venue for our special day!
We also rented the Laurie House for the weekend and having that extra space for the bridal party to get ready in and a place to hang out in on Friday and Saturday night was amazing!
The venue itself was beautiful! Our guests raved about beautiful the property is and how perfect it was to have the ceremony, reception and hotel all in the same location!
The food was amazing. Even as the bride I ate my entire meal!
Rebecca was top notch! She was extremely responsive all year long with my many questions and emails prior to the wedding.
On the day of, everything was well organized and ran on time! We were able to fully enjoy our day knowing Rebecca was there making sure everything was perfect.

Book Chauncey for your wedding!
Chauncey Hotel and Conference Center is the perfect place for a wedding! The grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the tent is the perfect place for a reception. Having everything, including the hotel, on site made everything easy for our guests. The food was outstanding and the staff were very professional, kind, and accommodating. Amanda was the best coordinator - answering all of our (probably) annoying questions and easing our nerves throughout all of our planning. We cannot say enough great things about her. Lastly, we highly recommend booking the Laurie House for your wedding. It’s the perfect place for the bride and groom, as well as the bridal party or close friends to stay. Definitely worth every penny! Overall, we are so happy that we had our wedding at Chauncey - it was absolutely perfect.Chauncey Hotel and Conference Center is the perfect place for a wedding! Absolutely Magical
The Chauncey was the most perfect venue for our wedding, and we can't say enough amazing things about it! From our very first visit and tour with Amanda, to how they handled everything extremely professionally throughout COVID, to the actual wedding weekend itself - we are beyond grateful we went with the Chauncey. The staff, and every single human we encountered during our Thursday - Sunday stay, was so helpful and kind. Our guests went out of their way to tell us they felt the same! We made the Laurie House a home for our wedding party for the weekend and it was a great centralized location to spend extra time with our loved ones, the perfect place to get ready the morning of, and just all around made for a charming stay. We didn't have to worry about anything leading up to the rehearsal or wedding, and everything was taken care of exactly as we requested. The grounds were stunning - so lush and well maintained. And Amanda - she was freakin amazing. Not only was she very communicative throughout COVID, she made sure we were comfortable and only worrying about enjoying ourselves. She was a true Jane-of-all-trades, doing anything and everything to make sure our weekend was perfect. We have not a single regret about having our wedding at the Chauncey and certainly plan to be back again. Thank you so so much to everyone who had their hand in making our weekend magical! The Chauncey was the most perfect venue for our wedding, and we can't say enough amazing things about it! Great food and wedding weekend
We had our wedding at The Chauncey on 10/5/24 and we are so glad we found this Princeton gem! We had about 115 guests with the ceremony in front of the pond, under the shade of the gorgeous trees. The landscaping and background for the ceremony was well manicured and beautiful. We opted to rent the Laurie House for Friday and Saturday which was well worth the money. On Friday, we had a small rehearsal dinner on the Laurie House patio. It was perfect for the guests who had to travel from out of town as everything was on site. We were also able to have a delicious breakfast with our friends and family who stayed in the hotel both Saturday and Sunday morning. Having everything in one location allowed us to spend extra time with friends and family throughout the weekend. Out of town guests were also able to explore the beautiful Princeton area and only had a 10 minute drive to get to the center of town.
The feedback from all of our guests was nothing but 5 stars. Everyone enjoyed the food, the flow, and the ease of having everything in close proximity. Our guests were able to enjoy the entire evening without having to worry about driving. Cocktail hour on the Laurie House patio was delicious and a short walk from the ceremony. It was just another short walk to the tent for the reception while still having access to the beautiful Chauncey grounds all night long.
We couldn't have asked for a better experience for the weekend that we spent at Chauncey. Becca and the staff ensured everything went as planned and made sure that ourselves and our guests had the perfect time. The whole weekend was a surprisingly stress free experience thanks to all the wonderful staff at Chauncey. Communication with Becca throughout the wedding planning process was fantastic. She always responded promptly to our emails and phone calls. She helped guide us as we planned our wedding and helped us organize everything to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. June 1 Wedding
My daughter’s wedding was fabulous! Rebecca was so patient with us and the many questions we had over the months and weekend of the wedding. The staff was wonderful and my daughter’s ceremony and reception went smoothly. The food was excellent as was the service. A month later and we are still getting compliments on the venue, food, and entire experience from our guests. I would highly recommend Chauncey to anyone planning any event! My daughter’s wedding was fabulous! We are so happy we chose Chauncey
We were so happy with the Chauncey Hotel and Conference Center for our wedding venue! We worked initially with Larissa Thomas, who helped us book the venue and answered all of our questions. Larissa was very patient and detail-oriented. We then worked with Amanda Puskar, who knew exactly how to guide us in the wedding-planning process. She recommended vendors, arranged a food-tasting on-site, organized the on-site rehearsal, and went over all of the details with us, from menu choices and table arrangements to the general timing and coordination of the ceremony, cocktail reception and dinner. Amanda really knows what she’s doing and was there during the whole wedding day to make sure everything went smoothly. The Chauncey grounds are beautiful, and we found them to be perfect for our elegant, outdoor nature-themed wedding. We used the gazebo next to the lake for our ceremony. Our cocktail reception was on the patio of the Laurie House. Dinner and dancing were under a large and lovely white tent lit by string lights. The waitstaff and servers, along with the banquet manager Jen Burns, were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We chose the seated dinner option, which allowed our guests to choose from several pre-selected options. We also selected several “enhancements”—including a shrimp station at the cocktail hour, and a candy bar and donut wall after dinner. Our guests told us how much they enjoyed the ambience, the food and especially the idyllic Chauncey setting. We would definitely choose the Chauncey Hotel and Conference Center again—it packs a lot of punch for the price and is a hidden gem in the Princeton-area wedding venue market. We were so happy with the Chauncey Hotel and Conference Center for our wedding venue! Recent Bride - Zaina B.
I looked at 12 venues before deciding to look at the Chauncey Hotel and Laurie House and it was the only venue my fiancé (now husband) came with me to tour. He absolutely fell in love with the grounds (especially the fact that he could go for a run the morning of our wedding) and I knew right away that it was going to be perfect for us. Amanda was incredible from that day in January of 2021 all the way through to the wedding day. She was very attentive and understood our vision for the day. She accommodated all my very specific details I wanted incorporated and honestly executed them better than I could’ve imagined. We did work with Larissa as well when Amanda was on maternity leave who was great too! I was very big on communication and organization which I think helped the days run smoothly. I highly recommend renting out the Laurie House for the bridal party. All the bridesmaids/maids of honor stayed in the Laurie house and we still had plenty of room! The guys got ready in the downstairs gentlemen’s lounge and the women got ready in the room right off the kitchen. It was plenty spacious for 12 women plus 2 hair and makeup people. Since we had the Laurie House, we did the rehearsal dinner on the patio the night before the wedding. We did the barbecue package with three hour open beer and wine bar and the food was crazy delicious. They are so attentive and really make everything so easy. The day of the wedding was awesome. They had a carafe of coffee delivered to the Laurie House as well as lunch for the girls. Larissa and her team were on top of everything. The entire day was truly incredible. We made it a point to go to cocktail hour and eat all the food possible. Let me say the food was to die for. HIGHLY recommend the mac and cheese station! Everyone raved about the food! We lucked out with the perfect day for weather so everything outdoors was perfect. Dinner was fantastic as well! My husband and I got the beef and we are still talking about it. We had our own private waitress Nadine who was so sweet! They even had a plate of the cocktail hour appetizers ready for us! The day and night were incredible. Amanda and her team were great to work with. It was a Chauncey worth taking
Chauncey has been extremely accommodating throughout the wedding planning process and very easy to work with. We were originally suppose to have our wedding September 2020, but Chauncey graciously postponed our wedding date to May 2021 with ease during these stressful, COVID times. Jerry, our day coordinator, really stepped in and made our wedding day enjoyable. He made sure the whole day flowed smoothly from start to finish.
The venue itself is pretty much all inclusive and it feels like an oasis out in Princeton. Our guests felt very relaxed, safe and had a breath of fresh air. Fun, reasonably-priced, flexible, and nice wedding venue!
We were looking around the Knot and other websites, trying to find a low-key, reasonably-priced, but nice venue in the Princeton, NJ area, and came across Chauncey. It was the first place we visited, and after seeing several other venues, we immediately went back to Chauncey to book! We had our wedding on April 26, 2019, and are still in awe at how perfect our whole wedding weekend was! Their events coordinator, Amanda was fantastic from the beginning! She is so easy to work with, responsive, personable, confident, and super creative and organized. They have fantastic wedding packages at reasonable prices, and the hotel stays are clean, and very reasonably-priced as well. Amanda helped us stay organized throughout the whole planning process, we had a fun tasting menu session there, and then from the hotel stays in the main hotel, and the Laurie House - they were all great, through the end of wedding weekend - it was all just perfect. Every worker at Chauncey is friendly, approachable, and helpful. Then wedding day came, and it could not have gone more smoothly. We woke up to a text from Amanda asking if we needed coffee, she was available and directive all day -- coordinating setting up literally everything from the ceremony, to reception. We were originally supposed to have our ceremony outside on the lawn by the gazebo, but rain was in the forecast, so it was great to have a plan B of the ceremony being under the big tent on the lawn. HOWEVER, morning of the wedding came, and it started DOWNPOURING and lightning, and that meant we couldn't even have our ceremony under the tent. Amanda ended up coordinating our ceremony to be in an indoor space in a room that's not normally meant for wedding ceremonies, however - it was beautifully and creatively decorated by Amanda and team and honestly, we ended up being so happy it rained because the space inside ended up being so beautiful. Amanda took part in every detail, from adding flowers to our cake, to ensuring the ceremony was timed perfectly, to overall-just ensuring we had a truly MAGICAL wedding. It was better than we ever could've imagined, despite it raining, and us being on plan C of a ceremony location. If you want a fun, relaxed, and reasonably-priced wedding, we could not recommend Amanda and the Chauncey Hotel enough. Thank you so much Amanda, and everyone at Chauncey!!!- Shay and Dion Privett, wedding at Chauncey on April 26, 2019.We were looking around the Knot and other websites, trying to find a low-key, reasonably-priced, but nice venue in the Princeton, NJ area, and came across Chauncey. We could not be happier with the whole process of havingour wedding at Chauncey. Cathy, Amanda and Mirza went above and beyond to make sure that our day was seamless, personal, and elegant. We were blown away by how well everything turned out - we couldn't be happier or more grateful. -

The planning was absolutely seamless from our initial meeting with Cathy Geer, a little over a year before the event, to the day of. We were confident in Cathy's abilities from Day 1. The grounds are gorgeous and we planned for over a year to have a lovely early Fall wedding in the gazebo and tent outside, unfortunately, due to Hurricane Joaquin, we were moved inside 3 days before the event. While slightly disappointed, it was out of anyones control, I still maintained my confidence in this venue and staff. Not ever having seen the inside event space dressed for a wedding, I was blown away. What a lovely job they did accommodating our party of 100. We had such a memorable evening. A few notes about the staff...
Cathy Geer: You won't find a more knowledgable and dedicated Catering/Sales Manager. Her suggestions throughout the planning were spot on.She knows what she's doing, she's done hundreds of events both at the Chauncey and previous venues and she is clear and concise in her instructions and her suggestions because she has seen it all. She knows how to make your event successful and that's why you need her, so trust her.
Executive Chef, Brian Wagner delivered on my Family Style menu and allowed me to hand craft it myself. He is a talented Chef and made me so proud of the food that my guests were served. This is not your standard, horrible wedding factory food. The care that went into the meal was evident. This was such a happy day and the staff at this venue had a lot to do with that. The planning was absolutely seamless from our initial meeting with Cathy Geer, a little over a year before the event, to the day of. My wedding was hosted at Chauncey. The weather was great and the grounds were beautiful. Special events coordinator Cathy was very responsive and answer all my questions and last minute requests in every way. The staff was very accommodating. The gazebo for the ceremony looked great, the cocktail hour looks like a fancy yard party and the tent looked magical at night. I also reserved their historic house for my wedding party for the whole weekend which was very convienient for everyone to stay at one place and get ready together. At night we all sat outside at the house's backyard firepit roasting smores. This venue gave me great lasting memories of my wedding and Im glad I found this hidden gem. Our wedding reception at the Chauncey Center was flawless. We never thought we could afford such a beautiful venue on stunning grounds, let alone plan and execute it in 33 days. We wanted to get married as soon as possible once NJ made it legal. Susan was tremendous. She was extremely responsive and helped plan every detail. Hannah ensured all our overnight guests were taken care of and Brenda, Dora and the catering staff were attentive and efficient. We have received nothing but rave reviews on the atomsphere, food quality, cake and service. Our guests took over the lobby bar after the reception and continued to dance and sing. Our guests loved the shuttle service and breakfast the next day. My wife and I highly recommend Chauncey as a hidden gem, affordable, elegant and memorable. Our wedding reception at the Chauncey Center was flawless. We never thought we would be able to afford this hidden gem in Princeton, but after meeting with staff and doing a tour of the site we knew immediately that we had our venue. The grounds and facility are gorgeous and the event staff are fantastic. Chauncey was able to individualize our plans and menu to fit into our budget and fit the visions that we had for our big day. Staff were incredibly informative, supportive and great to work with. Our event was better than we could have imagined and are truly happy that we chose Chauncey House as they made the planning process fun and minimized the stress. We never thought we would be able to afford this hidden gem in Princeton, but after meeting with staff and doing a tour of the site we knew immediately that we had our venue. We had our wedding at the Chauncey Hotel over Labor Day weekend. We first visited the hotel in April. The grounds were well maintained and although the flowers had not started blooming yet, we knew the grounds would be beautiful in August. We met with Gary, the primary wedding coordinator; from the moment we met him, we knew that we could trust him to help us plan the most perfect wedding. He was honest, flexible, and easy to work with; he was one of the main reasons we chose the Chauncey Hotel.
Throughout the planning process, Gary went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we wanted. He was mindful of every detail and made planning a wedding seem easy. A few of our guests visited the property prior to the wedding and said that the staff was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to accommodate them.
On our wedding day, the grounds were gorgeous! Gary and the staff worked tirelessly to ensure that everything was perfect. Jim, the food and beverage manager, did a wonderful job of coordinating the reception, it was flawless! The bartenders and waitstaff who worked our wedding were absolutely outstanding; the entire staff at the hotel did an amazing job and went above and beyond for us! Our guests raved about the food and the property. My husband and I both highly recommend hosting a function at the hotel. We had our wedding at the Chauncey Hotel over Labor Day weekend. My wife and I got married at Chauncey and had a WONDERFUL experience despite a rather unusual event. We got married on 8/27/11, the day Hurricane Irene hit New Jersey. The state of NJ was in a state of emergency. All our wedding plans had to be adjusted (location of the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at Chauncey; the times, etc.). Chauncey was in the path of Hurricane Irene, so we had to leave earlier than originally planned, and our guests and ourselves could not stay at Chauncey overnight for safety reasons.
Planning a wedding is stressful, and you hope things go smoothly on your wedding day. Nothing went according to plan due to Hurricane Irene, but the staff at Chauncey helped make a stressful situation the best it possibly could be. They helped organize all the rescheduling, even booking a new hotel for us and all our guests that had planned on staying overnight at Chauncey. Our wedding was beautiful, the food was delicious, and Chauncey’s staff went above and beyond anything we could expect. The staff were extremely accommodating, helping to make our wedding a memorable experience, which our family and friends still talk about to this day. I would highly recommend to anyone planning their wedding at Chauncey. It’s a wonderful place to get married, and we never felt we were treated any differently as a same sex couple. My wife and I got married at Chauncey and had a WONDERFUL experience despite a rather unusual event. Lovely venue
Lovely venue in Princeton, NJ. It is a hotel part of a business complex but once you get there, you would have no idea. There are lovely grassy fields and a lake and beautiful trees. So many photo opportunities! Low stress was my motto so I loved that it was a hotel where you didn’t have to worry about transportation. They also took care of all the catering, open bar etc. Beautiful outdoor ceremony in front of gazebo, lake and then we had our cocktail hour inside and reception under a beautiful tent with stringed lights. There is even the Laurie house, a small cute house on-premises, where you can rent it out for the day prior and night of so that your bridal party can all be together. This is a great option for Saturday night weddings but we got married on a Friday so didn’t do this. The price is extremely reasonable and I would definitely recommend. They have a per-person price that is super reasonable- especially if you went for the buffet. We went with plated meals. The only thing is that the cocktail hour would be very limited with just the base price as it would just have a vegetable platter and 6 walking appetizers coming around. We added 3 other stations to our happy hour and also added a fire pit. But even at the end of the day, I still think it was overall reasonable. The day of the wedding, everything was flawless. Amanda was overseeing everything and was very helpful. We got lots of compliments on the food and the service was great. We had a server that frequently checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed and our drinks were always topped up. The only reason I deducted a point was that a new person was being trained and so there were some miscommunications and I believe unnecessary stress associated with that. But I would get married there again in a heartbeat.Lovely venue in Princeton, NJ. It is a hotel part of a business complex but once you get there, you would have no idea. Beautiful Wedding Venue!
We booked The Chauncey Hotel for our wedding. When we first booked, the hotel was actually closed because of Covid. I spoke with Cindy, and she was so helpful in allowing us to visit for a self-guided tour. After seeing the grounds and going over all of the details with Cindy, we knew it would be worth it to book our wedding at The Chauncey. Throughout the year, we communicated with both Cindy and Amanda to figure out all of the small details. Amanda was great, and was so flexible when we needed to make a few changes. I didn’t have a wedding planner, so Amanda really made sure that all of the little details came together on our wedding day. She made sure that all of the decor matched my vision, and made it possible that my husband and I wouldn’t see each other until the ceremony. During the reception, and even still a week after the wedding, we have not stopped hearing compliments about how beautiful our venue was. It was such an amazing place to take photos, have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. It was also so convenient that our out-of-town guests could stay right upstairs in the hotel. We also have not stopped hearing how amazing the food was! All the guests loved the cocktail hour, and said the dinner was delicious. One of a kind
The Chauncey was absolutely everything we wanted for our wedding venue. The convenience of having every part of the day and night in one spot, including lovely hotel accommodations, allowed our guests to comfortably relax and have fun without worrying about a thing. The grounds are stunning, and the staff (especially Amanda) encouraged us to be creative in using all of the space available so we could spread out and enjoy the many scenic spots the Chauncey has to offer. From fire pits with s’mores, to corn hole, Connect 4, big jenga, and a DIY photo booth, as well as late night pork roll sandwiches, there were so many personal and unique additions to our reception, and Amanda perfectly supported and coordinated each component. The Laurie House was the talk of our weekend, offering the most gorgeous and convenient spot for our wedding party to set up shop and get ready. The large deck with twinkling lights was the perfect space for our post-reception hangout. From the start of our weekend until the end, Amanda was there for anything and everything we needed. She went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfectly taken care of and executed the way we have dreamed of for so long. While it wasn’t easy to postpone our wedding a year, it was beyond worth the wait, and The Chauncey’s staff truly made it the most perfect day. We HIGHLY recommend choosing The Chauncey for your wedding venue - especially if you are looking for a fun, relaxing, gorgeous, nature-filled weekend that will accommodate ideas for backyard games and other activities to personalize your wedding weekend! We also highly recommend utilizing every space available at The Chauncey, including choosing the Chauncey to host your rehearsal dinner. It was the perfect way to kick off our wedding weekend with a classy, but fun barbecue buffet! If you’re looking for a fun, outdoorsy PARTY for your reception, run, don’t walk, to The Chauncey! And rest assured you are in the best hands with Amanda 🥰🥳The Chauncey was absolutely everything we wanted for our wedding venue. Amazing from start to finish.
Everything about our wedding was perfection. After we booked the Chauncey, a lovely employee of the establishment told us "not to worry about a thing" and "their goal was to NOT have their bride or groom have to think of a single thing on the day of their wedding".......they were not kidding! We were in SUCH amazing hands the entire day and night. Our guests are still constantly telling us how much fun they had and how beautiful the venue was. If we could do it all again, we wouldn't change a thing!!! We actually go to the Chauncey now just for a little weekend getaway!
