Quality on-site hair & makeup services in Central VA

I worked with Charlottesville Makeup Artist LLC for on-site bridal hair and makeup, as well as for hair and makeup for my bridesmaids, and our stylist did a wonderful job. I had a lot of trouble finding available on-site hair and makeup artists for my wedding, but was grateful that Charlottesville Makeup Artist has a sizable group of professional stylists and had someone available for our day. I did a hair and makeup trial about a month before my wedding, which was very helpful in getting to know my stylist and confirming exactly how I wanted my hair and makeup to look on the big day. Everything went smoothly on the day-of and our stylist managed to stay on time even though she had to do hair for 6 of us and makeup for 4 of us all on her own. Everyone looked beautiful for the big day and I would definitely recommend Charlottesville Makeup Artist for your wedding!

Excellent experience!

I had an excellent experience working with Charlottesville Makeup Artist for my wedding hair and makeup. Anne was very responsive to all of my emails and always had very thorough answers to any questions I asked. I also loved working with Amanda and Channing as my makeup artist and hair stylist. It was very convenient that they both were able to travel to my location in Charlottesville for the trial as well as getting ready the day of the wedding. They were both very professional and carefully listened to any tweaks I had from my trial to make my wedding day hair and makeup just as I envisioned. They also did my entire bridal party’s hair and makeup which consisted of 10 people and they all looked so beautiful! I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience I had and highly recommend them.

Kellerie is the best!

Kellerie did my hair for my wedding and it was absolutely beautiful!! She is so talented and all of my bridesmaids, along with my mom and mother-in-law, looked beautiful. I would highly recommend her! She makes you feel very comfortable, and was so patient during my trial with trying different hair styles. I absolutely loved my hair (did a side braid with baby breathe woven in) and it was just stunning!

A great team to work with on your special day!

I highly recommend working with Anne and her team for your wedding or event! Anne was very easy to communicate with during the planning process and was especially flexible as we had to move our date from 2020 to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, I cannot speak more highly of Jordan and Devin. Not only was their work stunningly beautiful, but they are both incredibly professional, kind, and personable individuals to work with. They really made my vision come to life both during my hair/makeup trial and on our special day, and they made myself and my bridal party feel so comfortable and special on that day. Both the hair and makeup lasted all night through lots of dancing!

Perfect choice for Hair and Makeup!

I initially went with Charlottesville Makeup Artist due to their competitive pricing and the fact that they offered both hair and makeup services on site. I booked hair and makeup for myself and 7 bridesmaids, and Anne worked with me to make sure the timeline worked out perfectly for us. I did a trial run a few days before since I don’t live in Charlottesville, and that made the day of much less stressful since I already knew how my hair and makeup would last throughout the day. Hannah did a wonderful job with our hair and the curls lasted all day despite the hot and humid June day. Ashleigh must have worked magic into the makeup because I was literally blotting sweat off my face with towels all day long and NOTHING BUDGED. I had to wash my face three times at the end of the night to get everything off and it looked absolutely amazing for 12+ hours. I am so glad we went with Charlottesville Makeup Artist and would use them again in a heartbeat!

Highly Professional Hair & Makeup Artists!

I was absolutely more than satisfied with Hannah and Devin’s work on my special day. Their time management skills, quality of service, and communication skills were all very professional and efficient! The entire bridal team looked gorgeous and were satisfied with the work done. As the bride, their services were everything I was looking for and MORE! I communicated with Hannah and Devin what I was looking for after the initial trial I had with the both of them and they did a phenomenal job! Highly recommend the both of them!

Anne was also such a joy to communicate with throughout this whole process. If I had a question she had a document or file for any answers I needed efficiently. The whole process was organized and covered all of the service bases. So content and thankful that this team was apart of my wedding day!

Amazing work!

Smooth, excellent process from the point of contact to the trial to the wedding day. Anne was extremely responsive and very helpful when providing information about their services. I did my trial the Thursday before the wedding, which worked out really well! The hair and makeup artists did an amazing job bringing my vision to life and were really responsive to any requests I had. They were thorough and made our entire wedding party look so glamorous and beautiful. I would definitely recommend!

Perfect for wedding makeup and hair!

I would highly recommend Veronika and the Charlottesville Makeup Artist LLC as the company you use if you are getting married in cville. Amazing!!!

Anne’s team was in one word- amazing. They did a fabulous job in making my bridesmaids look fabulous... and I think I looked dandy if I do say so myself... but it was how they treated my 7 year old daughter that really helped make things even more amazing. The young lady who did the makeup somehow managed to convince my daughter to sit still, not touch her eyes, that teal (although, yes, quite a spectacular color in ordinary circumstances) was not the color for the wedding. She even took it in stride when my daughter tilted her head straight back because she just wanted to relax. The young lady who was doing our hair was so patient and so kind with her... and managed to curl her hair without her crying or whimpering— when I can’t even run a comb through it without her devolving into tears. These girls are amazing and worth every penny. I told the makeup artist that my husband liked Smokey eyes and she delivered, while making it completely bridal. They were awesome!!!

Beautiful makeup and hair!

LOVED this team! They were so nice and fun and easy to work with. My makeup and hair on the day of were perfect. I truly felt beautiful. The hair and makeup trial was CLUTCH as it allowed us to make decisions that I was glad to not have to worry about on the day of the wedding. I'm also so glad I chose to go with false lashes, they looked gorgeous in all my photos. Additionally, I have a LOT of hair and was not confident that it would all stay up all night but it did - and looked the same at the end as it did at the start! They also made sure to leave me with some extra lip gloss for touching up later which I was so glad to have. Overall I was very impressed and would recommend to anyone!!

My family and I looked gorgeous and you will too!

I hear a lot of brides say photography is the most important thing to them. If that's true for you too, then hair and makeup should be a close second. I thought I knew hair and makeup... It turns out I do not. I did my own hair and make-up for our engagement photos and there is no comparison--I look way better in our wedding photos and I got much less sleep the night before.

Anne and her team are experts in what they do and they know how to give you the look you want--even if you don't know how to describe it. They also know how to work with different skin tones which was especially important to me as a person of color. Anne is super flexible and was able to figure out a new getting-ready schedule with me after a couple people decided they wanted hair and makeup last minute. Also I totally cried my eyes out 12 hours after my trial (wedding planning is stressful!) and my makeup stayed put.

Positive experience!

I used CVMUA for my hair and makeup and for those in my bridal party who wanted professional hair and/or makeup. Anne was very welcoming, responsive, and thorough throughout the booking process. I met my artists during my trial the Thursday before the wedding and they were very friendly and great about taking feedback. On the wedding day both artists were a warm and pleasant presence and really took their time to make sure I was happy. My bridal party chose a pretty wide variety of looks (especially for hair) and were also pleased with their results!

The Best Hair/Make-up Choice

Anne Kibler and team were fantastic to work with. From the start, Anne was very up front and informative with her services, and answered all of the questions that I had. At my trial, the stylists went above and beyond with my hair and make up to make sure I would look beautiful on my big day. I had seven girls in the bridal party receive makeup services, and five receive hair services. The make-up looked natural, and the hair stylist did a fantastic job at adding a "donut" to my hair for more volume. The "wedding schedule" the day of was very organized, and all services were finished in a timely fashion. In all, I would recommend Anne and Team to any bride who is looking in the Charlottesville area for their wedding! You won't regret it!

Working with Charlottesville Makeup Artist LLC was an absolute breeze from my initial contact to the introductory phone call to booking, the hair and makeup trial, and the day of! Everyone looked fabulous and the talented artists and hair stylists were such a fun addition to the getting ready process! I was thrilled with how my hair and makeup turned out, as were all 9 of my bridesmaids, my mother and my husband's mother. My Mom got told she looked like a movie star all night and I think liked her hair more than her own wedding! Seriously, so so so so glad I chose to work with Anne and her team and they couldn't have been more gracious, flexible, outgoing, and talented! Felt nice and comfortable when getting the trial done. Area was beautifully decorated and well lighted with a laid back atmosphere. Makeup and hair were both done beautifully but relatively fast which was nice! Both stylists were very helpful and receptive to feedback and wouldn’t leave until I loved it. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Anne. Knows. What. She's. Doing. My experience with Anne and her team was beyond exceptional! As soon as I walked in, I immediately felt welcomed like I was walking into an old friend's home. Her hair and makeup artists really listen to you and pay attention to what you're asking and what type of look you're going for. They did exactly what I asked and made my hair and makeup look better than I could've imagined. I'm still in shock staring at myself in the mirror. I can't wait to see them again for my big day! I was pretty nervous going into my trial run today since I have had a poor experience in the past being a bridesmaid and didn't know how everything would turn out. I brought some pictures of what I wanted my hair and makeup to look like but wasn't expecting it to be even close to those pictures. However, I was pleasantly surprised and shocked at how good they did. They exceeded my expectations in every way. My make up was flawless and exactly how I envisioned it. I looked like a movie star/ model and not at all "clownish" as some brides are worried about. I was also very happy with how they did my hair. It looked amazing and complimented my face shape and makeup perfectly. They played music the whole time and it was such a fun atmosphere for a trial run. I really feel at ease about what's going to happen the day of and I'm not nervous about it anymore. I know my "look" is going to be amazing and I cannot wait for the day of! Fantastic experience from booking to wedding day. Anne answered my thousand and one questions about hair extensions and adding on extra people after initial booking. Trial was extremely valuable as I do not wear much makeup. I especially appreciated how they gave me multiple opportunities to speak up about what I liked or did not like - I think this is why my wedding day hair and makeup were flawless. My normally slippery stick straight Asian hair STAYED UP IN CURLS ALL NIGHT which was amazing. They are very knowledgeable (were totally right that false lashes make the whole look and that everyone in my bridal party would want them) and very professional as well as kind. Absolutely loved my trial session with Ivon and Mariah! They knew exactly what I wanted to look like for my big day and helped bring it to life. Working with Anne Kibler was one of the easiest parts of planning my wedding. I never worried about anything and she was always so quick to reply to any questions that I had. She is one of the sweetest people and genuinely cares about all of her clients. I always felt like her top priority. Her makeup and hair artists are beyond anything I expected as well. Not to sound arrogant, but I looked damn good after they were finished! I have never felt more beautiful and ready to have my picture taken, and that's saying a lot because I usually really dislike pictures of myself. While I knew I was wearing a lot of makeup, it looked so natural and felt so light (even the fake eyelashes which I had NEVER worn before). My husband hates when I wear a lot of makeup, but he loved the look they gave me! They enhanced my features without making me look like a completely different person.

My hair artist was incredible as well, especially for putting up with me. I decided to make a change the day of, despite having a hair trial, and she didn't even flinch. She knew exactly what I wanted and made it happen. I was so happy with my overall look, these people are the absolute best and I would recommend them to anyone.

And my bridesmaids!! They all got their hair and makeup done as well. Wow, I should have chosen uglier bridesmaids because they looked phenomenal. They got through hair and makeup for 6 bridesmaids, my mom and myself in about 4 hours, which was earlier than expected and everyone was thrilled with their look!

If you are planning your wedding anywhere in Virginia, this is the company you want to go with!

I just had my trial with Anne and her team and I was so happy with how my hair and make up turned out! They made me feel so comfortable and they definitely achieved the look I wanted. The trial helped me relax and look forward to my wedding day even more now that I know I am going to have such a great team of ladies helping me and my girls get ready.

POST-WEDDING UPDATE: I cannot thank Charlottesville Makeup Artist's team enough! They did such a good job on my wedding day! I had quite the wedding crew - 7 bridesmaids, a mother of the bride, a mother of the groom and 2 flower girls, all of which got either their hair, make-up or both done and all of them looked GORGEOUS!! Everyone looked phenomenal in our wedding photos and I have the girls at Charlottesville Makeup Artist to thank for that! Note - all of my ladies are all naturally beautiful, but they were able to enhance their natural beauty and made everyone camera ready. My own hair and makeup could not have turned out better. The girls even stayed well past when everyone's hair was done to make sure I didn't need any touch ups after getting dressed. And since our wedding venue was in a rural area with not much nearby, it was so convenient to have them travel out to our wedding location so that no one was rushing around to get anywhere. Having them there getting ready all morning helped us all be able to relax and enjoy our time together prior to the wedding. The anticipation of walking down the aisle was stressful enough so I am glad I didn't have to also worry about traveling on my wedding day. I am forever grateful for them and I would highly recommend them!!!

I must say that I just had my trial make-up run with Charlottesville Make-up Artist, and Anne and Yvonne were absolutely amazing! They were both attentive to my needs and desires as an upcoming bride. In the past I have had makeup done that I felt made me look like someone other than myself, Anne and Evonne took that into account and gave me a totally awesome fresh natural look, one befitting of any bride. Also, the custom created lip kit assured that my lips will be totally perfect and kissable on my wedding day! Anne was absolutely amazing to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process! I was very nervous to hire a makeup artist for my wedding, as I am incredibly picky about my makeup and have disliked professional makeup in the past. Anne completely alleviated my fears at my makeup trial, since she assured me that she wanted me to be happy and that I could not hurt her feelings if I wanted to change anything. Fortunately, I barely had any changes to make as she nailed the romantic, feminine look I was going for, and duplicated it perfectly on the day of my wedding. She and her assistant did a beautiful job on my mom and 4 bridesmaids as well. I loved working with Anne and her wonderful team! I appreciated the fact that they provided a hair and makeup trial, so you could make sure you knew what you wanted, and that you were happy with the outcome. From my first phone call to the last dab of lip gloss, Anne and her team made this experience fantastic and it was so appreciated! BOOK THEM, THEY ARE GREAT! Here is my story:
I had a really tough time finding a makeup artist in my area that could meet my high expectations. I was seriously on the verge of tears thinking that I would have to do my own makeup (I wear virtually NO makeup day to day so I was terrified) along with some 80's style updo's (the only photos for the "salons" and "artists" in the area were very outdated and it was scaring me to death). Until I called Anne of Charlottesville Makeup Artists. As soon as we got off the phone from our initial consultation I felt like she SAVED ME! I was very nervous at the trial, but Anne and her team LISTENED to me and adjusted the style as many times as necessary until I was happy! They would not settle for anything less than EXACTLY what I wanted. I left feeling like no matter what happened on my wedding day, I would look amazing. On the day of, the team arrived early and stayed until they were completely done (no rushing!). The ladies were upbeat and fun loving and my whole bridal party felt so glamorous. Me and my sister have been a part of many weddings and usually joke about how no matter how many photos you show, or how flexible you are, most wedding hair stylists can't seem to get the "vision" or just end up giving you a standard updo that has no resemblance to what you were even asking for. Don't even get me started on the number of times we have had to redo our makeup or work together to fix a hairstyle. But, even my fashion forward and super picky sister was floored at how perfect we all looked once we were finished, everyone was so happy and felt special, which was my goal. I could not thank the ladies from Charlottesville Makeup enough for everything they did that day!

Anne and her team are amazing! I was able to book them for hair services for myself as well as 7 others just 1 1/2 months from my wedding. Anne is very professional and detail oriented. She made sure I knew about every step in the process and what the package includes. For my trial I was torn between two styles, one I was used to and one that was not my norm. Tiffany my hair stylist made sure I tried the new hairstyle just to give it a shot, and I loved it!! I am so glad they are open, welcoming, and offer plenty of time during your trial to try multiple styles. I will be recommending them to all my friends getting married.

Anne did my makeup for our Charlottesville wedding and I absolutely LOVED it! My best professional makeup ever, I felt so beautiful and so myself. I wear makeup daily, but not very much - usually a little tinted moisturizer, eye shadow, mascara and +/- eyeliner. I will play things up when I get dressed up for an event but I never feel comfortable if it looks like I'm wearing a lot of makeup.
Anne manged to give me the very natural, yet intense and special look on my wedding day. My eyes were PERFECT. The best part was that the makeup looked amazing in real life AND in pictures which is SO hard to do. She is very easy to work with, very prompt and on top of things.

Anne (makeup) and Tiffany (hair) are the dynamic duo! The entire experience was professional, expert level and just fun! Anne and Tiffany were easy to work with from our first phone call, through the planning stages and the trial, to the day of. It is definitely hard to keep six different women on time for hair and makeup as well as making them look gorgeous, but Anne and Tiffany made it look easy! They come right to the venue and worked fast and diligently. Very personable and friendly. It was easy to feel comfortable with my face in their hands. I very much enjoyed working with Anne for hair and makeup for my wedding. From our first phone call through the hair + makeup trial through the wedding itself Anne was professional, responsive, and very thorough in describing the process and asking questions about what I was looking for in hair and makeup. She was also very flexible on the day of in accommodating my now mother-in-law and an additional bridesmaid decided when they also wanted their hair and makeup done though they were not previously signed up for it.

She made sure each person got exactly the hair and makeup she wanted -- this ranged from a couple of bridesmaids who wear makeup regularly to my mother who hasn't worn makeup in about 3 decades! My mother looked beautiful and was so happy with how she looked. I also loved the way I looked myself on my wedding. When the words "luminous" and "radiant" were used to describe me I could hardly believe it. I would recommend Anne for looking your best on your big day!

Where do I begin to name all of the wonderful things about Anne and her Charlottesville Makeup Artist team? I got engaged to my now husband in October of 2012. By February of 2013 (four months after my engagement), I had already locked my wedding date in with Anne at Charlottesville Makeup Artist. There are many reasons for this. The first reason is because I had heard and read nothing but positive things about the her work. Her reviews were phenomenal, the pictures I'd seen looked flawless, and she's won numerous awards for her very obvious talent. Once I read all of her reviews, talked to a few of Anne's previous brides, and viewed pictures of her work, I decided I definitely needed to give her a call.

Anne spent close to an hour on the phone with me answering any and all of my questions. It was immediately obvious to me that she was incredibly personable, professional, and eager to make her brides feel amazing on their big day. Not even five minutes into our conversation I had decided that I wanted to lock my date in with Anne so that I didn't get stuck with someone whose work can best be described as "drag queen-esque". I am SO glad I made that decision! Because of Anne's artistic abilities, her professionalism, and her drive to always produce stellar results for her brides, Anne did my makeup for not only my wedding, but my bridal shoot as well. And, if I didn't decide to schedule a LAST MINUTE boudoir shoot as a present for my hubby, I most definitely would have booked Anne for that too, as I know the results would have been out of this world.

As you can see, I have nothing but positive things to say about Anne and her Charlottesville Makeup Artist team. I have recommended Anne to many of my friends who are engaged (who, might I add, booked with her for the same reasons I did), and I will continue to recommend her.

This review is for my trial makeup!

I met with Anne to do my trial run for my wedding day makeup. I couldn't have been more thrilled with the process and end results. She was very welcoming and listened to what I liked and translated photos I showed her into something that actually looked good on me (with my skin tone/hair color) rather than just copying a picture. I think that aspect of artistry is important when it comes to makeup!

Anne was also really considerate. I had initially wanted a later appointment, but she was already booked. When she had a cancellation, she called me to see if I wanted the slot. As someone coming out of town, I really appreciated that she remembered these small details! She also wasn't pushy, which was really a nice change of pace, from some of the other makeup experiences I've had in the past. I voiced my opinion several times and she was great about making tweaks until I was 100% satisfied.

I do not know why it has taken me so long to write this review. I love Anne at Charlottesville Makeup! I have only done my trial but already know I made the right choice for my wedding day. Anne was so responsive made it her priority to work with me on every aspect. My fiance and I were only going to be in Charlottesville for one day and so we wanted to get a lot of things done for the wedding. Even though it was her hair stylist's day off, Anne made it work! She moved things around to accommodate me and my experience was wonderful. She explained everything as she was working and really knew how to accent my best features. I will not be lying when I say she reignited my interest in makeup. Whereas before I did feel the need to wear make up daily, after getting my trial done, I looked so great I started wearing make up every day. Hilda was also great when she did my hair. I gave her such abstract descriptions of what I wanted my hair to look like and she somehow knew exactly what I wanted. This trial was the first thing I did that day and I met with a number of other vendors that day as well as driving home that night. My make up and hair was flawless up until I washed my face that night! From my calculations that was around 13 hours. I look forward to looking my best on my wedding day with the help of Charlottesville Makeup Artist!

WOW!!! I can't say enough about Anne's work. I just had my wedding makeup trial, and I wouldn't change a thing. I don't usually wear a lot of makeup so I was a little worried about looking and feeling like it was caked on or looking like someone else. But that wasn't the case, in fact I didn't want to take it off. She made me a prettier version of myself. I can't wait for the wedding day!! My Mom, sister and I are going to look so beautiful.

And FYI, working with Anne is great, she was super responsive and understood exactly what I was looking for. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone.

Anne is amazing! She has a super fun personality and has been so responsive since day 1 (which is so important when you're contacting so many vendors for so many different things). My makeup trial was awesome - she uses the BEST products, she listened to what I wanted, she came up with the perfect colors/mixes when I didn't know exactly what I wanted, and my makeup lasted all night. To trust someone with your face (especially on your wedding day) is a big deal - I promise you, you can trust Charlottesville Makeup Artist!!! I wouldn't even waste time looking at any other options! I am so glad that I booked Anne Kibler/Charlottesville Makeup Artist for my wedding makeup and hair! I just had my makeup trial with her a few days ago, and had a wonderful time. She is both a skilled professional and a really fun person to be around! I loved the look that she created for me, and I also loved how she encouraged me to give feedback on exactly what I want.

Anne makes the booking process incredibly smooth and easy to handle. When I first reached out to her, we spoke for almost an hour on the phone - she talked me through her philosophy of bridal makeup, the booking process, and all of the different service options she and her company offer. I am also booking my hair and my bridesmaids' makeup through her.

I had a wedding makeup trial with Anne a few days ago and am so happy with the results! I don't usually wear a lot of makeup and wasn't sure how to really describe my vision. I would need someone who was not only talented with makeup but also able to get to know someone and "know" the perfect look. Anne is just that! She is so knowledgeable, asked great questions and took the time to explain everything and share tips with me. I loved the way I looked and got many compliments later that evening. It felt really comfortable as well.

On the business side, Anne is a true professional. She is extremely responsive and organized, and one of the easiest vendors to work with. Plus, she's very fun to be around and every interaction with her is so positive. I would highly recommend her anyone, and can't wait for the wedding!

Anne did a great job for my wedding! She was very responsive, passionate, professional, and bottom line did beautiful work. I had a small wedding and she was only scheduleded to do my makeup, but when the other girls saw what a great job she did they all wanted her to do their makeup as well. Anne stayed longer then she had planned on in order to accomidate the girls request for makeup and everyone looked wonderful! As the bride, she spent lots of time prefecting my 'look' and was always willing to change or fix whatever I asked her to. I would reccomend Anne to any bride and hope to work with her again in the future!

I had my trial with Anne last Friday and I cannot express how blown away I was by her AND her talent! :) Anne exudes such passion and genuine desire to not only make you look beautiful...but to feel beautiful! In our discussions leading up to the trial I explained how much of a "makeup lover" I am with a bit of a control issue:) She listened to me, answered all of my questions, made our vision happen and voila! Anne and her team did my hair and make up for my wedding yesterday!!! I could tell from her website and pictures that she was very passionate about what she does! I really admire people like that. I was traveling some distance to have my wedding so a trial was not really possible, but I trusted Anne and I am so very glad I did. I looked amazing on my wedding day. She did a beautiful job! I was so excited with the end result! In just the few pictures I have seen so far I look amazing! I had complete trust that Anne would make me beautiful on my special day and she really did!! Anne is a wonderful makeup artist! I just had my trial makeup appointment, and I absolutely loved the way I looked after Anne worked her magic! Not only did I look fabulous after my trial, but my makeup lasted 12 hours plus! She listened to my ideas and preferences and created a perfect look for my wedding makeup! I just had my wedding makeup trial with Anne yesterday - what an incredible experience! I had heard wonderful things about Anne from my wedding coordinator, Cody (Amore Events by Cody) and I couldn't wait to see my wedding look as Anne worked her magic. After a cozy and relaxing session in Anne's kitchen, with my favorite Pandora station playing in the background, I was so thrilled to see my reflection in the mirror - totally myself, yet classy, elegant and understated - exactly what I had been hoping for! And the makeup... it lasted and lasted as the day went on - and even looked perfect after a long car trip and a walk through the falling snow that evening!

I am so excited for my wedding day, and can't imagine a better person than Anne to help me to look and feel so marvelous as I walk down the aisle and dance all night long. She is a true artist!!! I'll be back next month for my hair trial!!

I have nothing but extremely positive things to say about Anne at Charlottesville Makeup Artist. I received multiple referrals to Anne, each by very satisfied customers. My first impression of Anne was how timely and efficient she was; always responding to my emails very quickly. During our first interaction, we spoke on the phone for close to an hour going over each detail in the process. By the end of the conversation, Anne had answered all of my questions, addressed all of my concerns, and I knew exactly what to expect. She was very thorough and I was excited to set up my trial with her.

In a matter of just a few days, I was at my trial. During my trial, Anne took her time with me. She was very professional and I was thrilled to see how much she enjoyed the process. It was evident to me that she was very passionate about what she does. While she worked, she explained to me that she only uses the best products and that she can guarantee at least 8 hour coverage. It was interesting for me to see that she mixed all of the foundation, eye color, and lip color on her own! Anne made absolutely sure that everything she applied was a perfect match for my skin. When I looked in the mirror, I was thrilled!

I looked beautiful. My makeup looked natural, she was able to accentuate my best features, and it matched me! She gave me exactly what I asked her for. Before I first contacted Anne, I was worried I'd be another horror story: Drag queen look, brown face and white neck, etc. I had never seen myself look this way. I felt stunning.

To top it off, eight hours later and one hour at the gym, I looked just as beautiful as when I left my trial. My experience with Charlottesville Makeup Artist was professional and FUN! I have, and will continue to recommend Anne to every bride who is looking for an excellent makeup artist for their special day.

I heard about Anne Kibler through family, and despite a short timeline and my changing requirements, she was fantastic. She worked with me to achieve the look I wanted ('a prettier version of me') and I couldn't have been more pleased with my make-up on the day. I felt so beautiful! Anne Kibler did the makeup for my bridal party, my mother in law, my mom, and myself for our wedding. She did an absolutely wonderful job. She arrived right on time and ready to go. She kept on time and worked hard while she was there. She listened to what each person wanted and made sure they all felt great! Everyone looked absolutely amazing, but also ranted over how awesome Anne is in general. She is so skilled and makes it seem so easy (if only it was!). Not only does she know what she is doing, but she is also personable and so sweet. She is someone that you don't mind at all having with you on your wedding day! I am so thankful we had Anne do everyone's makeup. We have gotten some of our preview pictures back and everyone looks great! The make shows up, looks like the day was special and that they were made up some, but no one looks "overdone" with makeup. It looks perfect. My mom loved Anne so much that she even called her after the wedding to thank her for all she did and how great she is!

All I have to say is this...if you are reading these reviews and Anne is on your radar...thank your lucky stars and hope/wish/pray that she is available for your date!!! Anne came to the rescue at the last minute, and when I say last minute I'm talking within 2 weeks of my wedding and made the 3hr drive to my home to do my trial and then back 2 weeks later for my wedding!

I'll start with this...after our trial, I looked in the mirror and had to hold back the tears! I've never seen myself sooooo beautiful and I'm not new to makeup! Please just go to her blog and look at my before and afters and look at my wedding pictures. My name is Stephanie : )

There's no need to even THINK about going with another makeup artist...she's THE BEST!!! She is so passionate and educated and more importantly she LISTENS to your desires/wants etc. all you need to do is communicate the "look" you want to portray VOILA! You get what you wanted plus her magic, it's like she sprinkles fairy dust. She by far exceed my expectations and I only wish I lived closer so she could do my makeup more often...oh, and I definitely recommend the lip kit its AHHHMAZING!!! (she makes it herself if that tells you anything about her skills)

Anne is heaven sent, she came to my aide at just the right time. Several hours before I contacted Anne, I had come from another makeup trial for my upcoming wedding, and needless to say I was NOT happy. I came home feeling frustrated, and pictures with a over powered face. As a HUGE lover of makeup, I had confidence that could do my make up for my wedding day; but I did not want to do that, so looking through website after website I found Charlottesville Makeup Artist and I was instantly hooked (when you love makeup; you can quickly identify someone who can do it and do it well; and trust me Anne can). I quickly sent her an e-mail and the very next day was speaking to her on the phone, and having a makeup trial in a few days later. She took the time to look through all my pictures and other request such as wanting red lips (she custom blended a shade of red especially for me). I was so happy with the final look that I not only have her doing my wedding but four other members of my wedding party. Anne is amazing. She has done my make up for several important dates in my life. She most recently did my make-up for a national magazine. Anne's make up was so amazing that the photographer spent an extra hour taking my pictures. She was able to open my eyes, erase my circle, and define my cheek bones. The only thing that Anne could improve on is her current location since she doesn't currently live with me. She is someone I would and do hire for every important event I have. I would suggest having her come over and do a trial you will be amazed that you can look that "good". She makes you a prettier version of yourself. I would give her 1 million stars because of her ability, ethics, and attitude.

I couldn't have been more thrilled to find Anne! Not only does she have a passion for beauty and makeup - she really exudes a passion for life and for her business.

Immediately I noticed how dedicated she was to growing her "shop" with her blog and her best practices. She is so communicative and quick to respond - and always such a joy to talk to. I really respect Anne as a woman in business and as a makeup artist.

Anne came recommended by my wedding planner (I was coming from out of town to get married at Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyards in the Charlottesville area), and I was very pleased with the suggestion. WOW! I recently had my bridal consult with Anne and was blown away. As someone who wears make up daily, I was concerned with wanting to look amazing but not too over the top. I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with Anne while we both were attending a MAC Cosmetics Workshop in Tennessee in February 2011. When Anne first walked into the room, everyone couldn't help but notice her infectious smile and positive energy that poured out of her! She has such a uplifting attitude and personality and that is definitely a perk when you have her doing your makeup! Its undeniable that makeup is truly her passion, her work already speaks for itself, its impeccable, but you can also see it in her face which lights up whenever she talks about anything pertaining to makeup. Yvonne provided makeup services for myself, two bridesmaids, and my mother. She was prompt, professional, kind, and exceptionally talented. Charlottesville Makeup Artist did hair and makeup for all 6 of my bridesmaids and me for my wedding day. Everything was perfect and they got the job done with time to spare. Kayla and Hilda did fantastic jobs and were so fun to work with. Everyone looked beautiful and their makeup translated really well into photos. I didn't have to touch up my makeup all night and my hair held its curl even though it is stick straight and very hard to manipulate. I couldn't be happier with how our hair and makeup turned out. The trial that they had me do was also incredibly helpful. It gave me time to think about what I wanted to keep and what I wanted to change from my original ideas. As a new bride-to-be I can honestly say that planning your wedding, although fun, is incredibly intimidating and overwhelming. I cannot say enough how easy Anne made it to choose her as my perfect make-up artist for my wedding. She is organized, professional, and best of all a great person to work with. She truly is an artist and I was shocked when I saw myself after my trial. My makeup lasted the rest of the day and into the night. It still looked amazing until I had to begrudgingly take it off--I just did NOT want to take that makeup off (especially those lashes)!

Just as she is an artist, she is also a wonderful business woman who understands the customer and the needs of a bride. I am so looking forward to my wedding and feeling beautiful along with all of my bridesmaids, my mother, and my mother-in-law. Thank you Anne for being a part of such a special day for me!

Wonderful to work with!

The Charlottesville Makeup Artist team was incredible to work with for our wedding—they were easy to communicate with, fun to have with our group on the day of, and last but not least they did an amazing job on a very large group of women’s hair and makeup!

I was very last minute finding a hair and makeup artist for our son's wedding. Anne Kibler responded to my urgent email right away and was so helpful in getting Annabelle to provided all the help we needed. She did a wonderful job on the two mothers and the bridesmaid. The best thing is that Charlottesville Makeup Artist comes to your venue, so no need to make an extra trip to the salon on the big day. I highly recommend Anne and her team - they really helped us out on short notice, and provided a wonderful service!
