Charlene gave me my dream hair at an unbeatable price

I found Charlene through a wedding group on Facebook. Most of the places I inquired with on hair were very overpriced and required trial runs. I messaged Charlene in January and she was upfront about pricing, timing, travel fee and everything I needed to know. I sent her references for myself and my 5 bridesmaids. I needed all 6 of us done in 2 and a half hours and she said she could absolutely do that with her 2nd stylist. After looking at her portfolio I was confident in my decision and opted not to do a trial run. Once we went over everything we were in contact a month beforehand to reiterate everything and a week beforehand so we were on the same page. We weren't able to access the suite at the venue until 12 and needed to be done by 2:30 for when the photographer arrived. Charlene and her stylist, Chloe, arrived right at 12 and got to work. They were both so friendly and fun and just made it such a good time. Everyone's hair looked identical to their reference pictures and looked SO good! Charlene did mine from start to finish. My hair is on the softer side and doesn't take kindly to product so I was a bit nervous about the style sticking. I showed her a reference of my hair when I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding, which was a half up-do with braids but I said I wanted smaller braids and softer curls/waves. We were talking for what felt like 30 minutes and she was done. It was so quick, I barely felt her doing anything. When I tell you it was exactly what I wanted, it was exactlyyyy what I wanted! I was worried with product that I'd feel uncomfortable or that the safety pins would be uncomfortable but the entire day/night, I didn't even notice! At the end of the night when my friend helped take out the braid and Bobby pins, she only found one! I was shocked because normally I would need like 40. Not only did it look amazing right after she did it but I felt like it stayed 100% in tact all day/night and somehow looked better throughout the day. When I woke up in the morning it still looked amazing 😂 Charlene is truly a master of her craft and I would recommend her 1,000 times over. She also put my veil in for me so that I wouldn't mess up my hair and she even tightened the corset on my dress for me. She was an absolute delight to work with. Up-do Queen!!!

Charlene was awesome to work with! I did a trial with her before my wedding day and LOVED what she came up with to do with my hair and obviously loved it on my wedding day as well!! She did mine and my 5 girls hair along with my mom and everyone looked SO good! 10/10 recommend!

Bridal Hairstyle

With great pleasure, I would like to highly recommend Charlene for hair services. She is incredibly versatile (from updos to Hollywood waves for my Indian wedding events) as well as highly responsive and patient from initial inquiry through all questions/concerns involved in the process. She is honest and is not afraid to direct you to a style that is appropriate and flattering for your specific hair type and event. On the flip side, she will not hesitate to direct you away from Pinterest hairstyles that are not appropriate or flattering. Her confidence and easy going nature is extremely helpful and calming in the midst of so many last minute moving parts on the day of event(s). Pricing is more than reasonable and she accepts multiple payment forms including Venmo and Check. Styles are free flowing but also well defined and remain secure through the entire event. I would utilize her services again without any reservation.

The best hairstylist!

Don’t look anywhere else! Charlene is amazing. My bridal party’s updos were OUTSTANDING. My hair was fabulous - best updo I’ve ever had. Stayed in place all night. The price was VERY reasonable. Thank you Charlene!

Charlene did my hair 6 of my bridesmaids for the wedding. I originally saw charlenes work on my cousins hair for her wedding and I was so taken away at the beauty of it. Charlene was so easy to work with from the start and very personable. I loved that I was able to come into the salon a couple weeks before to do a trail so we knew exactly what I wanted the day of. She came right to us at a hotel at no extra charge. Charlene brought assistants along since I had a large bridal party of 6 and myself and everyone had such gorgeous hair at the end of it, including myself! Thank you Charlene :)

I first met Charlene when she did my hair for my sisters wedding and right then I knew I had to have her for my own wedding! She really is the best. Not only did she have the whole wedding party cracking up while we got ready, but every single one of us LOVED our hair. I've never met a hairstylist who can take a quick look at a picture and recreate it perfectly and efficiently! All 7 people getting their hair done were ready an hour early. Even though she's quick, everyones style stayed in perfect place the whole day and we started at 7am. My outdoor reception took place on the hottest day of the year and by the end of the night I was still getting compliments that my half up half down hair looked perfect (even with all the sweaty dancing!) I would recommend char to anyone!

Charlene did the hair for me and all eight of my bridesmaids at the end of June. She was amazing!! She was very accommodating and made our Pinterest hair finds come to life (and look even better). I would absolutely recommend her!!

Charlene was so great with everyone in my wedding party! We wanted to get ready out in the sun and she was totally OK setting up outside on the deck, which was great, and made everything feel so much more spacious. I never had to wait more than a few minutes for a response from her, and she was flexible with timing, location, etc. Charlene also has a shining personality, all of my bridesmaids loved her and laughed with her. It definitely added to our morning having her there.

I had the BEST experience with Charlene!!! From my 2 trials to the finish product she was phenomenal! So professional! The quality of her work is second to none! My girls all loved each of their hair styles! You could tell how confident each of them felt! We received so many compliments! I have fine hair, usually doesn't hold a curl too well. ALL of our updo's didn't move and inch or fall out the whole night! We didn't even need to hair spray more! The morning after the wedding, after the bobby pins came out, I still had my curls! And not those crunchy, over hair sprayed ones. I am talking soft, voluptuous, beautiful curls even the next day! Charlene was worth every penny! We had the best experience with her and I would recommend her to anyone with out hesitation!!!

Charlene and her assistant did a beautiful job with my hair, my bridesmaids, and my mom. She was so kind and wonderful to spend the morning with as we were getting ready. It was so comforting to do the trial before the big day. It helped me feel confident that I chose the right style. She made us feel so good about ourselves and we felt beautiful for the wedding! Charlene is fabulous! She was so easy to work with and is a joy to be around. I look back at my photos and still am in love with my hair on my wedding day. It was perfect! My bridal party looked absolutely gorgeous and I am still getting compliments on their hair! I could not have been happier with Charlene for my wedding day hairstylist. Charlene was amazing. She did my updo for the wedding, and all together she and 2 other girls did 13 updos in under 4 hours! She came on location, was on time, creative and professional. Would highly recommend. She also offered me a complimentary blow out the week of the wedding for being the bride!

I can honestly say Charlene was one of my favorite people to work with during my wedding planning. She is a breath of fresh air. Not only is she incredible at hair (updos, styling, color, highlight.. you name it) but she is just awesome to have around. Not only do you want gorgeous looking hair but you want good vibes the morning of your wedding and her team was quick, professional and calming especially when youre a ball of nerves the day of the wedding. My hair is pretty stubborn and it stayed in all morning, day & night. I highly recommend Charlene. She is perfect for your big day!

Charlene is amazing! I am out of town from her salon but she was very flexible with scheduling the hair trial. She even invited me into her home for the trial. Just looking at her photos online, anyone can see that she is talented. I was blown away when on our wedding she she styled 12 girl's hair in 4 hours. She brought an assistant that helped with the curling but Charlene did all of the styling and updos. She even gave me a can of hairspray to take with me for the day. Charlene made my morning relaxing and my hair was beautiful. I would recommend her to ALL BRIDES!

I've often referred to Charlene as my hair angel and she was nothing short of that for my wedding day. Due to a booking issue with another company, I went to Charlene (my regular hair stylist), desperate for her to help me solve my bridal crisis. It's as if she snapped her fingers and all was well! She fit me in her already tight wedding day schedule and did a BEAUTIFUL job. My hair, and my bridesmaids'/mom's hair lasted all day and night and were gorgeous styles. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a professional, talented, and just plain fabulous hairstylist!

I dreamed of my wedding day since I was a child as most little girls do. Finally at age 46, that day came. As an older bride I didn't really want all the traditional veil. Charlene and I discussed this and we agreed, Charlene took some tulle and worked it into my gorgeous updo with some falling hair and tulle down my back. It was almost as if she braided the tulle into my hair. This was amazing and everyone loved it. She is an amazing hairstylist. I continue to have my hair styled with Charlene and only Charlene and I highly recommend her to all.

Charlene and her assistant did a FABULOUS job for myself and my bridal party this past July. She is a wonderful person, and truly knowledgeable and passionate about styling. I would highly recommend Char for any special event. She came to my Mom's house the morning of my wedding so that all of us girls could get ready in the comfort of home. It was so nice not having to drive to a salon! Char does amazing updo's (or any style you want) and she is very efficient at it. She was able to style six bridesmaids, two mothers, a flower girl and me in a couple of hours. Everyone was extremely happy with their hair, and the styles lasted all day and night in hot summer weather. Thank you Char!!

Char deserves all 5 of those stars! She is amazing at what she does. She did hair at my fashion show and because of her talents and personality she became my personal hair stylist. I will never go to another stylist again! Char has been coloring and styling my hair for about 4 years now. She has an amazing eye for what really compliments your features and personal style. Char has done my hair as a bridesmaid as well and it was amazing to watch her create unique styles for all the ladies including the bride – whether they wanted their hair down, half up or a full up do. Everyone was so happy with her work and it was incredible just how quickly and easily she made us all look so beautiful. She’s always professional and is a ray of sunshine!

Overall, an amazing experience!! I went to the Teez salon on Englewood for the trial, and I loved the style she made from a picture I showed her, but still was undecided about how to part the front of my low up-do. Charlene is available to chat via text about what you would like, and anything else you need, so it was easy to communicate ideas that came up with her. She was very accommodating, helpful and optimistic during these conversations. Then the day of, my hair (as well as all the bridesmaids she and her company did) was flawless!! They worked very quickly, but did not let quality suffer because of it. Everyone's hair looked amazing, exactly what they wanted, and stayed together all night!! Her and two other women did mine, and my 5 bridesmaids' hair. The one thing was that she had another wedding to do at 12, so we had out hair done very early, like by 11 for a 2:00 wedding. But that wasn't even that big of a deal! As I said before, our hair stayed regardless of how early it was done! Charlene is also a very fun person, and is a great personality to have around when getting ready for your wedding! I highly recommend her service for your wedding hair needs! She is amazing at what she does!

Since I was an older bride Charlene understood I did not want the traditional bridal hair. She also knew this was my first wedding so I wanted hair to reflect that. I didn't have a veil, so Charlene created a headpiece with netting. She creatively worked the netting into my up-do and had it cascade down my back. It was so beautiful. I always have Charlene as my hairstylist for all my occasions even the every day looks. She is very modern and keeps up with the times. Even though I am in my 50's I don't want to look it. Because of Charlene my hair is professional or fun depending on the look I need. I highly recommend her as your wedding or everyday hairstylist.

Great for my Maids, blah for me!

Charlene I have very mixed feelings about. I had an Old Hollywood wedding and had her complete some really intense curls for my party. Those curls were bomb, friends who's hair can normally not hold curl had those curls until they showered. However, I have a pixie cut and my hair was not up to par or even what we trialed. Because of my pixie hair and wanting to make sure she was working with the shortness I would have day of we waited till the day before to trial. When I showed up to trial I showed her two hair pins I had (and sub in pins for that day). I said I really didn't care what happened so long as those pins were in my hair. We played around and I really enjoyed how my hair turned out. The next day was a different story. We did experience delays (Brides plan for extra time) with my MUA and with Charlene that was okay except by the time we got to my hair I feel like I was kind of an after thought. And whatever, as long as I had the two pins in. I was reassured they would stay. However, within the hour both pins fell out and one of my maids took some Bobby pins and secured at least one of those pins into my hair for ceremony/ pictures. She does an excellent job with longer hair, but to be honest I would not recommend for anyone with shorter hair and in the end I was really disappointed in my results.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I had gone through messaging details of my event, timeframe, etc. She had agreed and confirmed availability only to suddenly not be able to do it once she found out I was not looking to hire her for an entire bridal party and just for myself. Suddenly my money was no good to her. I'm assuming so she could hold out for a larger bridal party - very disappointing.
