Where to start...
Steve and Mariluz deliver. Working with them it always felt like we were the only wedding they working on. They spent time to get to know us, understand who we are and what we were going for. They infused fun into the experience, accommodated our every request, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was dialed in. Deeper dive:
Vibe: They very early picked up on who we are and what we wanted to create and offered up experiences that matched the environment we wanted to create. They did not push anything...just listened and provided great options.
Navigation: They have a disciplined time table and ensured we worked through all of the necessary details as necessary. However, throughout this, they were gracious about our sometimes (often?) less-than-fast responsiveness. Ie. they were super cool to work with. On top of things without being draconian. They walked us through every piece with aplomb.
Client-centricity: Steve and Mariluz are hyper-focused on delivering an experience that lives at the intersection of Tons-of-Tun and Breathtakingly Beautiful. Our guests were blown away by the event. It was clear they only thing they cared about was ensuring that everything we were hoping for came through.
Vendor management: There were a ton of transactions represented across the events of the weekend and Steve and Mariluz handled all of them. There is absolutely no way we could have managed it and S&M made it easy for us. From aligning on all the details to communication to payment -- they managed it all to perfection. The groups they brought into the equation (like the DJ) were perfect.
Creating beauty: Across all of our venues everything was perfect and beautiful. From our welcome dinner and party and all the way through the weekend, every space was gorgeous. The flowers and lighting at our reception were exquisite -- beyond what we could ever imagine and hope for. Again...our guests were blow away.
Being great people: We can't express how much we've enjoyed getting to know and be able to work with these guys. We enjoyed every minute of our time with them and cannot thank them enough for creating such an incredible event.Champagne Events Mexico's reply:

A wedding to remember!
My wife and i are very particular people and champagne was perfect for us, they were very detail oriented, communicative, kind, and made our wedding a night we will never forget. The decorations, coordination, and all the details were perfect. Of course there are hiccups along the way but that’s just wedding planning, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice!Champagne Events Mexico's reply:

A dream come true, thanks to Champagne Events Mexico. Hiring them was the best decision we made.
We’re an American couple from Brooklyn, NY, and we had our wedding at Hacienda Vista Hermosa in Mexico, planned by the incredible team at Champagne Events Mexico — Steve and Mariluz. We actually met Steve serendipitously when he was showing another couple a venue, and we instantly knew we wanted to work with him. That turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Our wedding was far, far beyond our expectations and completely blew us away. Every detail — from the venue and food to the decorations and day-of logistics — was executed flawlessly, resulting in a weekend that was beautiful, seamless, and unforgettable.
From our very first planning meeting, Steve and Mariluz were organized, responsive, and patient. They guided us through every step of the process, helped us make thoughtful decisions without ever pushing us to spend more, and made sure every detail reflected our vision. Since our Spanish isn’t great, having them plan everything was absolutely essential — and both speak excellent English (Steve is American). Communication was always clear and easy, which made planning a destination wedding from Brooklyn surprisingly stress-free and even fun.
The vendors they recommended were phenomenal. The DJ booth looked like it belonged at a festival, our “wheel of death” shot station was a massive hit, and the décor was everything we’d imagined — elegant, creative, and perfectly within budget. The day-of logistics were seamless; everything ran like clockwork, allowing us to simply enjoy every moment. Many of our guests came up to us afterward to say it was the best wedding they’d ever been to — and we completely agree.
Weeks later, we’re still thinking about our wedding and how grateful we are for Steve and Mariluz. They’re not only incredibly talented and professional, but also genuinely kind people who care deeply about giving you the best experience possible. The value they deliver is outstanding, and we couldn’t recommend Champagne Events Mexico more highly. When we decided to have our wedding in Mexico, I thought it was going to be overwhelming but working with Steve and Mariluz made it the complete opposite. From our very first call, we knew they were the right team for us. We gave them a budget and our vision for multiple events, and they not only respected that budget but also showed us exactly what was possible without ever pushing us beyond it. That was such a relief for me and gave me so much peace of mind.
Throughout the planning process, they asked for guidance where needed, but honestly, I trusted them completely. Their past work spoke for itself, and it quickly became clear that letting them take the reins was the best decision I could have made. Steve is a master of logistics and planning, while Mariluz has an incredible creative eye and together they are the perfect balance. The décor, flowers, and overall atmosphere at every single event left me speechless.
Their relationships with local vendors were also a huge asset. We felt supported and well-guided in every choice we made, and their team worked seamlessly behind the scenes so that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. They even had thoughtful backup plans for everything, which gave me so much confidence. I was able to enjoy the celebrations fully because I knew we were in the best hands.
Our wedding couldn’t have been more perfect, and it’s all thanks to them. I’ll never be able to truly repay the care, creativity, and dedication they poured into our day, but I hope this review helps future couples feel confident in trusting them the way we did. It seems as if most people talk about how planning their wedding was a difficult and stressful time. If you ask my wife and me, our answer is far different. The entire process- from our initial facetime meeting with Steve, to our extensive venue touring trip, to the tasting, and then to wedding day itself- was smooth and enjoyable.
Steve and Mariluz make an incredible team. They have an excellent selection of trusted venues and vendors. They can make subtle recommendations based off their extensive experience, but they are never pushy. They try to remain objective because they are committed to structuring the wedding to your unique wants and needs. If you do not like something they suggest, you can do whatever planning of your own which they take to heart and appreciate. The process of planning the wedding itself is straightforward. Beyond the two major Mexico visits (venue touring and tasting), everything seems to fall into place, and the communication takes place in a WhatsApp group chat. Steve and Mariluz are both calm and collected which kept us feeling the same way.
Our wedding weekend experience was truly flawless. We elected to have our wedding at a Hacienda two hours outside Mexico City. We had an intimate family dinner Wednesday night, our guests were shuttled in on Thursday (either from CDMX or the airport) for our welcome party, the wedding was on Friday, and the pool party on Saturday. Steve and Mariluz have an excellent team who ensured that everything went without a hitch. Our guests were all shuttled to the Hacienda and back to the airport (or CDMX) without issues (and without having to worry about any of of those plans!). Each event mentioned above was executed with an incredibly impressive attention to detail. Mariluz handles the flowers/decorations, and everything was magical. We wanted to do something different than the traditional wedding in the States, we wanted it to be as convenient as possible for our guests, and we wanted to remain within a set budget. Steve and Mariluz helped us accomplish those goals with flying colors. Our guests were similarly amazed. We really cannot recommend them enough.Champagne Events Mexico's reply:

From the start they listened to our wants/needs. No two weddings are the same and they have experience with all different traditions/customs. They gave us many options to choose from for venues and vendors. We were able to throw a 3 day party of our dreams while sticking to our budget. Mariluz, Steve and their team are an absolute dream team, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have found them to plan our wedding. From start to finish, they created the most seamless, beautiful, and well-orchestrated celebration we could have ever imagined. Our guests were absolutely blown away by our wedding and the thoughtfulness of every detail. We could not be more thankful to have chose Champagne Events to coordinate our wedding weekend.
Steve is the mastermind behind guest logistics and the client experience. When we first met with Steve, we traveled around Mexico City to find the perfect venue for our wedding. He showed us close to 8 venues and was very upfront about the pros and cons of each one, helping us make the right decision for the day of. When it came to that weekend, Steve made sure that every single person was taken care of when traveling to and from the venue. He coordinated travel for guests coming from far and wide, knowing each person’s flight and making sure they were on the right shuttle. He thoughtfully placed our older guests in quieter rooms and ensured that families had everything they needed for a comfortable stay. His deep familiarity with the venues and detailed coordination made the entire experience feel effortless and stress-free for us and our guests.
Mariluz, is a creative force. As a designer myself, I had high expectations for the aesthetic and atmosphere of our wedding, and she exceeded them in every possible way. From signage and lighting to floral arrangements and layout, every detail was flawless and cohesive. To say our guests (and we ourselves!) were blown away is an understatement, and her artistic vision and execution made our wedding feel like a dream. When we saw what they had done on the day of, going from concept to reality, that was all the proof we needed to know that we had made rhetorical right choice for our day.
Beyond their talent and expertise, Mariluz and Steve are simply incredible people. We genuinely enjoyed spending time with them, touring venues, grabbing food, and collaborating on creative ideas. They made the entire process enjoyable, personal, and fun.
If you want a wedding planning team that is deeply knowledgeable, thoughtful, creative, and truly wonderful to work with, I encourage you to work with Champagne Events. Hiring them was one of the best decisions we made, and we could not recommend them more highly!

Champagne were genuinely fantastic. We're now some time from the wedding and guests are still contacting us to tell us how great the events were and how much they enjoyed the wedding.
These planners are incredibly attentive, understanding and provided a full end-to-end service. Each event was meticulously organised and seemlessly fused our two cultures (Mexican and Indian). Even though we were fully aware of what to expect, we were still in awe of how well things came together and how were we're able to just enjoy ourselves at our own wedding.

Champagne Events exceeded expectations for the end to end planning and execution of our entire wedding weekend. Steve and Mariluz will hustle for you at every step of the process - not to mention they’re unbelievable team, who will literally wait at the airport for a flight that was eight hours delayed, and then ride a shuttle with your wedding party, two hours south of Mexico City airport.
From our initial wedding venue tours to day of coordination their team goes above and beyond to make sure your wedding events will be the talk of your friends and family for years to come.
When our guests arrived at the magical Hacienda Vista Hermosa they asked in amazement, "How did you find this incredible place?". That all started with a tour day tour that Steve and Marliuz guided us around Mexico City and the surrounding areas. They will guide you to so many unique destinations to find the best place for your wedding events.
Steve and Mariluz have so many connections in Mexico that using their recommended vendors made the planning process seamless (sidebar, they have many options and never pressured us to choose one over the other).
We had been warned in wedding planning that you would often be told "no" or "that will cost you" again and again but with Champagne Events it was always "we can make that happen for you". They always seemed to have creative solutions to meet our visions and budget.
Bringing family and friends to Mexico - and a hacienda two hours outside of Mexico City - is no easy feat. Huge shoutout to Jackie for being a huge champion behind those logistics and so kind (and patient).
Our vision for the weekend was a "Mexico Disco" - and Mariluz made this a reality for us. From the moment we walked into the welcome party we were transported into an authentic Mexican fiesta with papel picado, al pastor and churros. The main event on Saturday, really took us to the dance floor. The setting was elevated but brought the disco vibe that kept us dancing until early in the morning. Finally, they even organized a Sunday pool party where we brought in a DJ and poptails. It was a great way to unwind from the weekend - and still keep the memories coming.
In conversations with family they said that the weekend felt like being "on a Hollywood set".

Steve and Mariluz arranged our dream three-day wedding in the countryside outside Mexico City. Although we were planning from a distance which can be stressful (we live in NYC), they still made it feel so easy at every step. We hosted a welcome fiesta Friday, the wedding itself Saturday, and a beautiful pool party send off on Sunday.
Steve and Mariluz are more than professional wedding planners, they are also genuinely warm and fun human beings. Both are well-traveled and have so much experience between them. They have cultivated strong relationships and it shows… all the vendors they work with are top quality, from the live musicians, to the photographers, makeup artist, and food.
We were especially impressed at how they went above and beyond to make sure all family members and guests were accommodated and comfortable. The airline lost one of our parents bags and Steve immediately jumped on the situation. He was able to have one of his drivers help recover the luggage from the airport which was a major life saver.

If you are looking for the most personable, professional, and exceptional wedding planning team, look no further! We both have families from all over the US and were really struggling to find a venue where we could spend quality time with our friends and family in a place that matched our personalities. We have been to multiple destination weddings but always felt like the cookie-cutter, all-inclusive resort really wasn't our style. We fell in love with Mexico City on a few layovers and decided that this was the place we wanted to have our wedding.
I reached out to a few wedding planners and Mariluz and Steve won us over immediately. They are warm, practical, and experienced. We arrived in the city and they took us to 7 different venues in one weekend. We decided on Hacienda Vista Hermosa which is a stunning 16th century building 2 hours outside the city. It has the most beautiful pool and the food was incredible! During this trip, Steve was mindful of our budget and truly cared about what we wanted. We never felt pressured to make a choice or spend beyond our means. He is the the best!
Because we love Mexico City and so many of our 85 guests came early, we had a series of events throughout the city before the wedding weekend. Tuesday we went to see the Luchadores, Wednesday we walked folks through the main park (Chapultepec) but the most memorable and truly amazing experience was the one that Steve and Mariluz organized - Xochimilco! The Thursday before our Saturday wedding we had 50 guests transported from the hotel to the boats where the boat owner had decorated and laid out tables complete with tequila, cocktails, beer, water, and the most delicious homemade chicken mole lunch! They arranged mariachi, games, and nonstop entertainment for our guests. It was the highlight of the wedding! Everything was so thoughtfully done and everyone had the time of their lives. We highly recommend!
Our shuttle transportation to the hacienda was flawless and everything from the rehearsal to our karaoke welcome party to the wedding day itself was even better than we could have imagined. Mariluz is an artist when it comes to flowers. She is a genius! Everyone on their team is so kind and you can tell that they are a community of friends and coworkers that really care about the work they do. We trusted them and they gave us the most unforgettable wedding we could have ever imagined. Go for the fireworks, mezcal donkey, and the live band! It was absolutely worth it. The hacienda is a hidden gem and all of our guests from the 2 year old ring bearer to the 70 year old parents had an amazing experience. Some of our friends and families have never traveled outside of the country and now our wedding has inspired them to explore the world! The team at Champagne Events exceeded all of our expectations. We had a good feeling from the moment we met them and knew they would be the perfect people to help us plan our wedding. The Champagne Events team created an unforgettable wedding WEEKEND, not just one day. They were respectful of our budget and have a total “can do” attitude. Their attention to detail was unmatched. Unforgettable wedding weekend!
Steve and Mariluz are incredible. Our wedding was so carefully thought out, so perfectly planned, so elegant, and honestly so far beyond our already sky high expectations, it’s difficult to even describe how impressed we are and how grateful we feel to have had them in our corner. They are VERY good at what they do, they have relationships with high quality vendors for everything we could have wanted, and their staff were absolutely perfect, taking care of our every last need throughout the weekend. There is always an element of unknown when planning a destination wedding, but Steve, Mariluz and the team at Champagne Events ensured our wedding day was everything we’d dreamed of and more! I’m not over exaggerating when I say it far exceeded our expectations. The team extremely attentive on our wedding day, making sure everything and everyone was on schedule. It’s not easy to coordinate so many moving parts, but the entire day went seamlessly. As soon as we walked into the venue, we were awestruck. The FLORALS!!! Literally everyone at our wedding could not stop talking about how stunning the decorations were. Mariluz really brought our vision to life, taking into account every little detail during the planning phase. Once we picked our venue (Gran Hotel —— which we loved!!), they handled every last detail for us — nothing was too small to merit their attention. Real pros, made our wedding incredible
We were very impressed with Steve and Mariluz from the start after interviewing several CDMX wedding planners. They did an amazing job putting together what ended up being a 3 day celebration. Our Sunday afternoon boat ride at Xochimilco was an unexpected highlight and they really made it incredibly seamless with over 100 guests across several boats, everything from renting out the toilets on the landing to arranging food and mariachi to come on the boats. The caterer really dropped the ball for our main event but I thought they handled it pretty well all things considered.
What I particularly liked about working with Champagne Events is that they were open-minded enough to say yes to some of our out-there ideas, but also experienced enough to say "you don't want to do that" to others.Champagne Events Mexico's reply:

Champagne events, run by Mariluz and Steve, made our dream wedding come true. Our wedding had a lot of moving parts - it was about four days total with two Indian wedding days, a ceremony that mixed Muslim and Jewish traditions, followed by an incredible reception and pool party the last day. Champagne events helped us choreograph every step of this wedding, and did so even though we were very budget conscious. They helped us negotiate costs down and delivered a classy and lavish event for a reasonable cost. Mariluz and Steve are incredibly warm as well and working with them was a pleasure (we feel like we became friends!). Mariluz has an eye for design that made every event absolutely gorgeous, and Steve went above and beyond in communicating with the guests and making sure their needs were met. The team that Champagne events works with is also fantastic. They are all incredibly friendly and competent, and all collaborate behind the scenes so that everything goes smoothly during the events. Lovedddd our wedding
After checking with a few planners, we went with Mariluz and Steve. Our wedding was seriously amazing. We were nervous that our vision wouldn’t fully come to life, but we were both stunned when we first saw our venue the day of the wedding. It was stunning and absolutely perfect!!!!! My husband and I spoke the morning after and couldn’t think of one thing we would have changed. The Best Wedding Planners Around!
Firstly, I’m going to preface this review by saying no amount of words possible could ever convey just how blown away we were by Champagne Events - but I’m going to try anyway. Mariluz and Steve turned our wedding day into one of the best days of our entire lives.
From the planning to the budgeting process and of course the execution, Mariluz and Steve were thorough, kind and transparent about every step. Being that we lived in California, one thing I really appreciated was the list of trusted vendors that Champagne Events had at the ready: photographers, caterers, DJ and more - it was extremely helpful to know that these vendors had worked with Champagne Events before and came with a level of trust. On the day of the event, these relationships really shined through as Champagne Events seamlessly coordinated with the vendors to make all the magic happen.
During the course of planning, I had a major family tragedy that took me away from planning for many months. Mariluz and Steve not only gave me the time and space that I needed to support my family, but kept coordinating with vendors on our behalf and soliciting quotes and locking in services. During one of the busiest times of my entire life, they took the initiative we needed to ensure that we were on track with our wedding day - an additional initiative that I will always be grateful for.
Champagne Events took every idea, suggestion or wild thought we had and turned it into a reality beyond our wildest expectations. Coordinating a destination wedding is difficult, but their professionalism, bright personalities and endless creativity allowed us to feel like we were in the best hands. To top it off, Mariluz and Steve are also kind and happy people, which made the experience even better. Words cannot describe how incredible Marliuz and Steve are for event planning. Their professionalism and skills were beyond our expectations!
They were incredibly thoughtful of what we wanted and very respectful of our budget. They put so much detail into planning everything, from a schedule of the day's events to creating a decoration package for us to choose what we wanted. It was amazing seeing everything come together the day of the events. We told them exactly what kind of venue we were looking for, and they delivered with 6 different options. They drove us around to take us on tours, and we fell in love with 3 of them!
Not only did they plan our wedding, they also helped plan our Welcome Party for guests, they took care of the planning for decorations, drinks, food, and music. It was the perfect way to welcome guests to Mexico City as most of everyone has never been before. It got our guests excited for our wedding day!
The wedding day was beyond our expectations. The Ceremony was exactly what we wanted, and everything was absolutely perfect. They have such a good relationship with vendors. They recommended us a photographer, makeup/hair stylist, DJ, specialty bartenders, officiant, and more - every single vendor was top tier and catered to everything we wanted & needed. I definitely trust Mariluz and Steve's opinions and suggestions greatly.
Additionally, we wanted to plan a group trip of 50 people to Xochimilco a couple days after the wedding and asked Champagne Events Mexico to help us. Marluz and Steve happily did so, and it went so great. We all went down on the canal, singing, drinking, eating and having so much fun! The way they organized the trip was incredible.
Not only are Mariluz and Steve amazing, their team of assistants are incredible as well. You will realize quickly that they hire the best, and trust them greatly.

The dream wedding for a fashion forward couple!
Wow! Words cannot express how perfect our wedding was. I still get butterflies thinking about it.
I love fashion and style. My Pinterest boards are filled with the outfits of Haylie Bieber, Gigi Hadid, and so many other fashionistas. I had my sights set high on three day red-carpet trendy, non-traditional, statement wedding. Combine that with my desire to have a wedding that stayed true to my Polish and Catholic heritage. Seems impossible and a lot of work, right? Not for Mariluz and Steve! We enjoyed three days of a fashionistas love story straight of Vogue magazine.
We started by telling Mariluz and Steve how we wanted to feel, and they gave us an event that was beyond our imaginations. I wish I could show you that I am not exaggerating. There was no detail left behind. They understood every abstract word and feeling we gave them - Tulum-vibe, jungle disco, club-restaurant, a party but intimate, polish tradition with a Mexican vibe, and all of that while keeping true to our Catholic and Polish roots. They nailed it! It was magical for us and our guests. Our words turned it into a reality, and it was only made possible by Mariluz and Steve listening to us, taking the time to get to know us, and becoming our friends.

During our initial planning meeting they gently expanded our horizons from our original plan, and we are so thankful they advised us to consider renting out one of the many historic posadas that exist in the region.
Steve and Mariluz are LGBTQ-friendly and also seemed very knowledgeable about the practices and traditions for couples from many other cultural backgrounds.

Truly an unforgettable experience. We were nervous doing a destination wedding but Champagne Events made it so easy. They took out all the stress of wedding planning and made it fun. We had a great experience working with Steve, Mariluz and their team! They were quick to get in touch with us from the start and were very responsive leading up to our event. While they are extremely detail oriented and pulled off an incredible event that we’ll talk about forever, there were times where we felt like communication on budget and logistics was unclear. Budget was more of a concern for us and we didn’t feel that it was protected, but ultimately we’re happy with where we landed.

We connected with Steve and Mariluz after finding them on the internet. We had a scouting tour where we flew down to Mexico and they showed us some amazing venues we probably would never have seen on our own. They also came along for the food tasting and hair and makeup trial. Their vendor recommendations were top notch as well. Everything on the wedding day looked perfect and just as we expected. The Perfect Wedding Weekend
We cannot recommend Steve and Mariluz with Champagne events enough. When we decided on a destination wedding in Mexico City, it was obvious we needed a planner. We were worried that with a small wedding we may be overlooked, but everything about our wedding weekend was amazing. All the details important to us were exactly as envisioned, and those that weren’t were planned without any stress on our end.
